Daily Links Post graphic

Each day at just after midnight Eastern, a post like this one is created for contributors and readers of this site to upload news links and video links on the issues that concern this site. Most notably, Islam and its effects on Classical Civilization, and various forms of leftism from Soviet era communism, to postmodernism and all the flavours of galloping statism and totalitarianism such as Nazism and Fascism which are increasingly snuffing out the classical liberalism which created our near, miraculous civilization the West has been building since the time of Socrates.

This document was written around the time this site was created, for those who wish to understand what this site is about. And while our understanding of the world and events has grown since then, the basic ideas remain sound and true to the purpose.

So please post all links, thoughts and ideas that you feel will benefit the readers of this site to the comments under this post each day. And thank you all for your contributions.

This is the new Samizdat. We must use it while we can.

    • Yes I have cited that work several times and have it on my wish list to buy when the stimulus money comes in (along with a new computer and the rest of the “Witcher” books) Barnes and Noble has the book for US$19.95. It is well worth the money and the time to read. It explains what China is doing and how they plan on winning this war.

China was well on their way to victory and thought they were on easy street and then Donald Trump was elected, he started fighting back and the weakness of all command driven economies became the weapon Trump used to stop the Chinese offensive. As the article says the Chinese economy was in decline and headed to the sub basement for a long time. China wanted to weaken the Western World so they would still have a chance of winning the 30 year war.

Given the new evidence that is coming out about how long China has been expermiting with and modifying the Wuhan Flu virus it is looking more and more like a deliberate release. China was trying to ensure that they have a chance to win the war, yes it was a big risk using a weapon of mass destruction against the entire world but it was the only way to come close to ensuring that China still had a chance of winning the war against the US.

If we can figure this out you know PT and his people have done the same and have some type of counter attack planned, Before this counter attack can be made we have to find some way to keep the US semi solvent despite the virus and Trump has to win reelection.

    • Thank you for this article and once again thank you for the Kyle Bass video on China.

    • Remember when Kim’s father died? We had a lot of rumors about illness, hospital stays and denials that anything was wrong. Behind the smoke screen the Kim family was deciding which of the kids would become the new ruler. I may, probably and wrong but something about this swarm of rumors makes me think that there is some kind of behind the scenes struggle for dominance taking place.

  1. WATCH: Germany on Corona lockdown – Arab clan riots in front of a hospital emergency room

50 to 60 members of the criminal Arab Remmo Clan gathered in front of the emergency room of the Kreuzberg Clinic am Urban in Berlin on Tuesday night. An elderly member of the clan had been admitted there shortly before and had died. It is said to be the mother of clan boss Issa Remmo. On the way to the hospital, two other clan members are said to have speeded through a speed check by the police – one of the officers on site was apparently only able to save himself by jumping to the side. The police then apparently started a chase after the two cars. One of the two drivers allegedly escaped in his Porsche car. Another driver is said to have been arrested near the hospital after a collision of his VW car with a police car. Meanwhile, several police officers were presumably busy in front of the Urban Clinic to calm down the clan members and to make sure that the Corona distance rules were observed.

  2. April 21, 2020 Netherlands: Dutch Teen Stabbed to Death- Sudanese Refugee in Custody
    https://garyfouse.blogspot.com/2020/04/netherlands-dutch-teen-stabbed-to-death.html
Rik van de Rakt (18) was attacked without reason

Suspected stabbing killer of bicyclist in Oss is refugee
-Mick van Wely (Yesterday (April 20, 2020)

Oss- The 25-year-old man in custody for the stabbing death of Rik van de Rakt (18) from Heesch this weekend in Oss, is an asylum-seeker from Sudan. The suspect is a status holder and lives in Heesch. It is the second refugee arrested this year in Brabant for a fatal crime.

The police confirm the background of the suspect after inquiry by De Telegraaf to the community of Bernheze, under which Heesch falls. “Today a search took place in his residence in Heesch. The investigation is still in full progress, and we are still looking for witnesses, especially the cyclist who was riding over the Hescheweg in Heesch on Sunday. The suspect will be brought before the examining magistrate tomorrow,” said a spokesperson from the East Brabant police.

    Known by police

In the village there is much anger and sadness over the murder of the teenager who, as it now seems, was attacked and stabbed to death for no reason. It quickly became known in Heesch that the suspect was the 25-year-old status-holder. He previously had caused nuisance in the village and was then also known to police. It was made known on Monday that the suspect was arrested shortly after the murder in a confused state.

In spite of the enormous impact of the deadly stabbing and multiple attempts by De Telegraaf, Mayor Mariecke Moorman did not wish to respond to the incident on Tuesday.

    Found next to bike

Rik van de Rakt was found dead Sunday morning next to his bike in Oss at the crossing of Julianasingel and Dr Saal van Zwanenbergsingel in Oss. It later turned out that he was stabbed to death.

As it appears from camera photos, the perpetrator also tried to stab a woman. But she was able to escape the man. The police are still looking for witnesses to both attacks. The police say a terrorist motive is not yet ruled out. “There are no indications in that direction. However, at this stage, we are keeping all scenarios open,” said a spokesperson from Oost (East) -Brabant police.

He called his step-father, Mario, and screamed for help,” said a friend of Rik’s Monday to De Telegraaf. For the grandparents, it is still a big mystery what exactly happened on Sunday morning.

    Protests against azc (asylum-seeker center)

Four years ago, Heesch was turned upside down by large protests against the opening of an asylum-seeker center. Dead pigs were placed in a tree and eggs thrown against the windows of the town hall. The mobile squad had to intervene against the rioters. The center was not opened.

The Sudanese is the second refugee in custody for suspicion of murder in Brabant. Last month, police arrested a resident of the asylum-seeker center in Echt for the murder of the 56-year-old barrel talker, Frank Schrijen, from Boxmeer. (A major figure in the carnival world.) The suspect comes from Trinidad and Tobago.

The attorney for the Sudanese suspect in the Oss stabbing was asked for rebuttal through the Public Ministry, but has not yet responded. De Telegraaf does not know who that is.

    • Paris Suburbs on Fire for Fourth Consecutive Night Over Alleged Police Brutality – Videos (sputniknews, Apr 22, 2020)

“The protests in several communities located near the capital erupted over an incident between French police and a 30-year-old motorcyclist, who was severely injured after crashing into a door of a law enforcement car that was allegedly opened on purpose. The incident is currently being reviewed.

Riots continued in the Paris suburb of Hauts-de-Seine overnight between 21 and 21 April, despite the local prefectures reporting reduced levels of violence compared to other nights.

The most serious incident took place in Gennevilliers, where the Paul Langevin primary school was purportedly set on fire damaging the principal’s office and two more rooms.

At the same time, authorities are not certain that the fire was related to the riots claiming that the school was outside the area where ??urban violence took place.

As in previous nights, the protesters also launched fireworks at police forces deployed to quell the unrest. In addition to this, several cars were set on fire in the Nord department in communities of Lille, Roubaix, and Tourcoing.

      Response to Alleged Police Brutality
This was the fourth consecutive night of riots in the Paris suburbs which started in the wake of an incident between a French police unit and a 30-year-old motorcyclist. The latter suffered a leg fracture after smashing into a police car door that was allegedly opened on purpose.

The authorities say that the police opened the door as they were about to stop the motorcyclist, who was moving at a high rate of speed, but witnesses and alleged videos of the incident suggested that the door was opened on purpose to force the rider to stop in an act of police brutality.”

  6. USC Study Finds Coronavirus Far More Widespread In L.A. County Than Reported
April 21, 2020 By Tristan Justice

A new study unveiled Monday from the University of Southern California (USC) with the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health discovered infections of the novel Wuhan coronavirus to be far more widespread with a lower fatality rate than initially thought.

The California researchers conducted rapid antibody testing of a representative sample of adults and found that approximately 2.8 to 5.6 percent of L.A. County’s adult population already had coronavirus antibodies present, translating to 221,000 to 442,000 past-infected people. The new estimate dwarfs the nearly 8,000 cases that had been reported at the time the study took place April 10-11. There are now nearly 14,000 confirmed cases of the virus and more than 600 deaths officially reported in the county as of this writing, according to L.A. County Department of Public Health.

Jonathan Kravis has been named special counsel for public corruption.

“Jonathan Kravis is one of our country’s most respected prosecutors,” D.C. Attorney General Karl Racine said in a statement. “He has earned his exceptional reputation for ethically and successfully prosecuting public corruption cases.”

In his new position, Kravis will conduct a review of the State Attorney General and other prosecutor offices, and he will advise Racine on how best to structure the attorney general’s public corruption section, focusing on a broad array of wrongdoing that affects the public’s confidence in government.

Before joining the D.C. attorney general’s office, Kravis worked as the Deputy Chief of the Fraud and Public Corruption Section at the U.S. Attorney’s Office for D.C., where he prosecuted Roger Stone, a confidant of President Trump, for obstruction of Congress and other related charges.

  9. Iran’s IRGC Launches Its First Military Satellite Into Orbit (sputniknews, Apr 22, 2020)
    https://sputniknews.com/middleeast/202004221079051307-iran-irgc-reportedly-launches-its-first-military-satellite-into-orbit/

“In February, Iranian Defence Minister Amir Hatami dismissed US allegations that Tehran’s satellite carriers could be turned into military missiles and that the recent unsuccessful launch of a Zafar satellite was part of the Islamic Republic’s missile programme.

Iran has successfully sent into orbit its first military satellite, the country’s Tasnim news agency reported on Wednesday.

The satellite called Noor (Light) was put into an orbit located 425 kilometres (624 miles) above the Earth’s surface via a two-stage carrier called Qassed (Envoy).

The launch, which was conducted by the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC), comes after Iranian Defence Minister Amir Hatami in February rejected allegations issued by the US that the satellite carriers could be turned into military missiles and that the recent unsuccessful launch of a Zafar satellite was part of Iran’s missile programme.

“The satellite launch and satellite carrier […] are not related to missile [programme]”, Hatami pointed out.

He pledged that despite opposition from some countries, Iran will continue to develop its satellite programme. According to Hatami, while the carrier doesn’t have any military applications, the satellite that it will eventually take into orbit could be used for defensive purposes by the Islamic Republic.

Hatami also stressed that while Iran had already developed numerous missiles, none of them are designed to carry nuclear warheads, even if Tehran had any. He reaffirmed that the Islamic Republic is not seeking to develop nuclear arms or the means to deliver them.
The comments came after Iran failed to put a Zafar (Victory in Farsi) satellite into orbit on 9 February due to the rocket not gaining enough acceleration.

“The launch vehicle successfully launched the Zafar satellite into space, but the rocket could not gain the necessary speed to put it into orbit. Necessary optimisation work will be carried out for the next launch”, Iranian Defence Ministry spokesman Ahmad Hosseini said in a statement at the time.

Iranian Minister of Information and Communications Technology Mohammad-Jawad Azari Jahromi, who oversees the satellite’s development, admitted that the launch had failed but remained upbeat back then, saying that Iran is “unstoppable”.

The launch was preceded by two other unsuccessful attempts to put the Zafar satellite, designed to gather data on earthquakes and other natural disasters from space, into Earth’s orbit.”

  10. Trump ‘Instructs’ Navy to ‘Shoot Down, Destroy’ Any Iranian Gunboats if They ‘Harass’ US Ships (sputniknews, Apr 22, 2020)

“The statement by POTUS comes several months after the two countries were on the verge of open hostilities after a US Air Force strike killed top Iranian general Qasem Soleimani while the latter was visiting Iraq on a diplomatic mission in January 2020.

US President Donald Trump announced via his Twitter that he has given the green light to the American Navy to attack and sink small Iranian military vessels if they start harassing US military ships.

I have instructed the United States Navy to shoot down and destroy any and all Iranian gunboats if they harass our ships at sea.

    — Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) April 22, 2020

The US Navy has complained on multiple occasions that so-called Iranian fast boats are approaching dangerously close to their destroyers and carriers patrolling the Persian Gulf region. On 15 April, the American military reported that a group of 11 vessels from Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Navy harassed US warships in the northern Persian Gulf.

“The IRGC Navy vessels repeatedly crossed the bows and sterns of the US vessels at extremely close range and high speeds”, a US Naval Forces Central Command statement said, adding that some passed within 50 yards of the bow of the expeditionary mobile base vessel USS Lewis B. Puller and within 10 yards of a US Coast Guard Island-class cutter.

Trump has raised the issue of Iranian boats allegedly harassing American vessels in the past. He reportedly requested former Pentagon chief James Mattis to come up with a plan to deal with Iranian “fast boats”.

US warships firing at Iranian military vessels might potentially lead to a new round of tensions between the two just four months after both ended up on the verge of an open military conflict. The latest escalation happened after the US Air Force killed top Iranian general Qasem Soleimani in an airstrike in Iraq on 3 January 2020.

Washington claimed that Soleimani visited the country because he was purportedly planning attacks on American embassies in the region. However, both Iranian and Iraqi authorities denied these unsubstantiated claims revealing that Soleimani had visited Iraq on a diplomatic mission to pass on a message to Saudi Arabia, who had cut all ties to Tehran.”

    • World War 3: Donald Trump tells US navy to ‘shoot down and destroy’ Iranian gunboats (express, Apr 22, 2020)
      https://www.express.co.uk/news/world/1272351/World-war-3-Donald-Trump-Iran-latest-twitter-US-navy-shoot-down-Iran-gunboats

“DONALD TRUMP has threatened to “shoot down and destroy” Iranian ships, in a sabre-rattling Tweet sure to escalate tensions in the Middle East.

The US sent a warning to Iran, months after relations between the two states appeared to be spiralling towards all-out war. Mr Trump said on Twitter this lunchtime: “I have instructed the United States Navy to shoot down and destroy any and all Iranian gunboats if they harass our ships at sea.”

Tensions have been threatening to boil over all week after US military chiefs accused Iran of “provocative” actions in the volatile waterway.

Iran’s defence minister dismissed US reports of harassment by Iranian vessels as “baseless” and said the “illegal and aggressive” US presence in the Gulf was causing insecurity in the region.

Brigadier General Amir Hatami said: “What leads to insecurity in the Persian Gulf region is actually the illegal and aggressive presence of the Americans who have come from the other end of the world to our borders and make such baseless claims.”

The US military last week reported that 11 vessels from Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps Navy (IRGCN) came dangerously close to US Navy and Coast Guard ships in the Gulf, calling the moves “dangerous and provocative”.

At one point, the Iranian vessels came within 10 yards of the US Coast Guard cutter Maui.

The US ships issued several warnings through bridge-to-bridge radio, blasts from the ships’ horns and long-range acoustic noise maker devices. The Iranian ships left after about an hour.

Such clashes were a common occurrence a few years ago an several occasions US Navy ships fired warning shots at Iranian vessels when they got too close.

A US military statement said: “The IRGCN’s dangerous and provocative actions increased the risk of miscalculation and collision, and were not in accordance with the internationally recognised Convention on the International Regulations for Preventing Collisions at Sea.”

US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said: “We’ve talked as a team. We’re evaluating how best to respond and how best to communicate our displeasure with what took place.”

Iran hit back at the claims of provocation with a warning it woud give give “a decisive response to any mistake by the US in the Gulf”.

A statement from the IRGN said: “We advise the Americans to follow international regulations and maritime protocols in the Persian Gulf and the Gulf of Oman and to refrain from any adventurism and false and fake stories.

“They should be assured that the Revolutionary Guards navy and the powerful armed forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran sees the dangerous actions of foreigners in the region as a threat to national security and its red line and any error in calculation on their part will receive a decisive response.”

The US Navy has the authority to act in self-defense, Mr Trump’s comments appeared to go further and are likely to stoke tensions between Iran and the US.

Fears of all-out war between the two sides erupted in January when the US military killed Qassem Soleimani, the head of Iran’s elite Quds Force, in a drone strike in Iraq.

Iran retaliated on with a rocket attack on Iraq’s Ain al-Asad base where US forces were stationed.

No US troops were killed or faced immediate bodily injury, but more than 100 were later diagnosed with traumatic brain injury.

Tensions were ramped up even further today when Iran’s Revolutionary Guard announced it had successfully launched the country’s first military satellite into orbit.”

  16. UN warns of ‘biblical’ famines of a quarter of a billion people as coronavirus threatens to leave three dozen nations starving (dailymail, Apr 22, 2020)
    https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-8239619/UN-warns-biblical-famines-coronavirus-threatens-leave-three-dozen-nations-starving.html

“The United Nations warned the coronavirus pandemic could trigger famine as the worldwide freeze on commerce sent shock waves through financial markets.

The bleak warning came on Tuesday as deaths from the virus surpassed 174,000 worldwide, with governments anxiously trying to chart a path out of the unprecedented global health and economic emergency.

One World Food Programme director warned ‘widespread famines of biblical proportions’ could force millions in already vulnerable countries into starvation due to the global crisis.

The economic impact of the pandemic could lead to a ‘humanitarian catastrophe,’ with the number of people suffering from acute hunger projected to nearly double to 265 million this year, the UN’s World Food Programme warned.

Many leaders fear triggering another wave of infections but are also worried about the mounting economic costs and signs of social tension.

‘We are on the brink of a hunger pandemic,’ WFP director David Beasley told the UN Security Council in a video conference.

‘Millions of civilians living in conflict-scarred nations, including many women and children, face being pushed to the brink of starvation, with the spectre of famine a very real and dangerous possibility.’

The worst-case scenario could see famine in some three dozen countries, Beasley said.

As the WFP warned of potential famine, Group of 20 agriculture ministers pledged to ensure ‘sufficient’ global food supplies for ‘the poorest, the most vulnerable, and displaced people.’

Freezes on whole sectors of commerce are already playing out dramatically on oil markets, where prices have crashed due to the drop-off in energy demand and a supply glut.

Before the pandemic crisis, Beasley was appealing to donor countries to increase food relief funding to the poorest countries, because war and natural disaster were putting severe strain on food systems.

In East Africa 70 million people were out at risk of starvation after locust swarms torn through crops earlier this year.

He told the Guardian: ‘I was already saying that 2020 would be the worst year since the Second World War, on the basis of what we forecast at the end of last year.

‘Now, my goodness, this [the virus] is a perfect storm…[it has] taken us to uncharted territory. We are looking at widespread famines of biblical proportions.’…”

  17. Medical Surveillance State: France Calls on Apple and Google to Ditch Privacy Protections During Pandemic (breitbart, Apr 22, 2020)
    https://www.breitbart.com/europe/2020/04/22/france-apple-google-ditch-privacy-protections-during-pandemic/

“France has become the first country in the world to openly call on Silicon Valley tech giants to remove privacy protections during the Chinese coronavirus pandemic, in order to introduce a “sovereign European health solution” that would track the movements of citizens.

The French government is aiming to unveil a contact tracing app by May 11th, when the country is expected to ease national lockdown measures that were introduced in March.

France and the European Union as a whole have come out in favour of a centralised approach to the tracking of citizens, in which data would be stored in government servers and monitored by state health services.

Currently, Apple’s operating system would prevent such an approach, as its Bluetooth function prohibits constant background tracking if the data is to be moved off the device. France claims that this privacy protection would prevent the government from developing its contact tracing app.

“We’re asking Apple to lift the technical hurdle to allow us to develop a sovereign European health solution that will be tied our health system,” France’s digital minister, Cédric O, told Bloomberg News.

The system being developed by Google and Apple, which is set to be made available worldwide next month, will take a decentralised approach to tracking, with the data remaining on a user’s phone rather than being collected in a central server.

The European Union has maintained that contact tracing apps should be voluntary, protect individual privacy, and be taken apart after the pandemic restrictions are lifted. However, a group of nearly 300 privacy experts warn that the apps could be used to introduce a surveillance state.

“We are concerned that some ‘solutions’ to the crisis may, via mission creep, result in systems which would allow unprecedented surveillance of society at large,” the group wrote in an open letter.

“Some of the Bluetooth-based proposals respect the individual’s right to privacy, whilst others would enable a form of government or private sector surveillance that would catastrophically hamper trust in and acceptance of such an application by society at large,” the group added.

“We urge all countries to rely only on systems that are subject to public scrutiny and that are privacy-preserving by design (instead of there being an expectation that they will be managed by a trustworthy party), as a means to ensure that the citizen’s data protection rights are upheld,” the group concluded.

France’s parliament will debate the contact tracing app later this month, and European Commissioner for Internal Market and Services Thierry Breton told the French Senate that he would be taking up the matter with Apple CEO Tim Cook.”

  18. Immigration Group Calls for Age Cap on Foreign Arrivals to Protect NHS During Coronavirus Pandemic (breitbart, Apr 22, 2020)
    https://www.breitbart.com/europe/2020/04/22/migration-watch-calls-age-cap-foreign-travellers-uk/

“Migration Watch UK has called for the government to impose age restrictions on foreign visitors to the United Kingdom during the Chinese coronavirus pandemic in order to reduce the strain on the National Health Service (NHS).

The migration-sceptic think tank recommended that foreign visitors over the age of 50 be barred from entering into the country until a COVID-19 vaccine is developed. The group pointed to the increased likelihood of older people requiring hospital services as the reason to impose the travel restriction.

“Any who fall ill with the coronavirus while they are here would be entitled to medical treatment, including hospital admission if necessary. The likelihood of needing hospital care increases considerably with age. For those aged less than 50 it is less than 5 per cent, for those in their fifties it doubles to 10 per cent, rising to nearly 25 per cent for those in their 70s,” Migration Watch UK said in a press release seen by Breitbart London.

“It surely makes sense not to admit visitors who, if they should fall ill with the coronavirus, would have a significant risk of needing hospital treatment,” the statement added.

In order to accomplish the age restriction on foreign travellers, the think tank called for the government to scrap the visa-free travel arrangement it currently has with around 50 countries, which are home to an estimated one billion people. These so-called “non-visa nationals” are currently permitted to enter and stay in the country for up to six months, receiving a visa upon arrival.

“Extending the requirement to apply in advance for a visitor visa to nationals of these countries would allow an age limit to be applied to all non-EEA visitors and would allow the tourist industry to begin its recovery while protecting the NHS from additional pressures,” the mass-migration sceptical think tank said.

The amount of “non-visa nationals” account for some 10 million visits to the UK per year. Travellers from the European Economic Area represent approximately 40 million visitor admissions per year. However, the government cannot impose travel restrictions on EU nationals during the Brexit transition period.

Although the number of people entering the country has declined with the collapse of the airline industry, some 15,000 people per day are arriving daily at the nation’s airports, with no mandatory health screenings or quarantine restrictions being carried out.

The think tank warned that coronavirus would likely spread throughout Asia, Africa, and Latin America, suggesting the risk that travellers from these areas could bring the virus to the UK will only grow.

“Until there is a vaccination against the coronavirus, its presence transforms the context for border controls. The government must now work towards reviving the tourist industry while minimising any increased pressure on the NHS that might result,” said Migration Watch UK chairman Alp Mehmet.”

  19. France Opens Nine Terrorism Investigations During Coronavirus Lockdown (breitbart, Apr 22, 2020)
    https://www.breitbart.com/europe/2020/04/22/france-opens-nine-terrorism-investigations-during-coronavirus-lockdown/

“French investigators have opened at least nine preliminary terrorism investigations since the start of the coronavirus lockdown and warn that radical Islamic terrorism is still a significant threat.

The French national anti-terrorist prosecutor’s office (Pnat) has been investigating several cases since the start of the lockdown measures in mid-March, including allegations of plots by French jihadists thought to have died fighting in Iraq and Syria for radical Islamist groups.

“Border control makes it difficult to enter France. But there are concerns about some individuals who could return to take action, not to mention attacks as sophisticated as those of November 13th,” a magistrate told the newspaper, Le Parisien, referencing the 2015 Bataclan massacre.

Nicolas Lerner, the head of France’s General Directorate for Internal Security (DGSI), warned that the terror threat posed by radical Islamic extremism has remained high even during the national lockdown.

“It remains at its previous level. In particular, jihadist propaganda continues to be generated, disseminated, and shared on social networks,” he said.

The DGSI and other police agencies have visited the homes of at least three known Islamic extremists between the first day of the coronavirus lockdown and April 15th. The agencies placed another 21 radicalised Islamists under surveillance.

The nine terrorism investigations begun since the start of the lockdown include the terrorist attack conducted by Sudanese asylum seeker Abdallah Ahmed-Osman, who went on a knife rampage in Romans-sur-Isère earlier this month, killing two people.

Two other migrants were also arrested in the wake of the terrorist attack, both of whom were Sudanese nationals.

While terror groups like Islamic State have told their members to avoid Europe due to the spread of the Wuhan coronavirus, they did call on Allah to “increase the torment” of so-called infidels suffering from the Chinese virus. At the same time, they called for Muslims to be spared.”

The U.S. Navy has deployed two warships to the South China Sea amid elevated tensions between China and Vietnam.

On Tuesday, Navy officials said the USS America and USS Bunker Hill sailed near a Chinese scout ship in disputed waters amid Beijing’s push to increase influence in the area.

This happened after China allocated additional forces to the South China Sea, while the coronavirus has continued to ravage its neighboring countries.

  21. North Korea media silent on Kim’s whereabouts as speculation on health rages

SEOUL (Reuters) – North Korean state media on Wednesday made no mention of leader Kim Jong Un’s health or whereabouts, a day after intense international speculation over his health was sparked by media reports he was gravely ill after a cardiovascular procedure.

North Korean media presented a business as usual image, carrying routine reporting of Kim’s achievements and publishing some of his older, or undated, comments on issues like the economy.

  22. Rapid backlash after Mich. Gov. Whitmer signs on Dem campaign contractor for big-data ‘contact tracing’ on COVID-19
    By J.E. Dyer April 22, 202

The short story on this: Governor Gretchen Whitmer, D-MI, contracted with the firm Every Action VAN, a company that specializes in collecting data for Democratic fundraising and vote mobilization, to track the data collected in Michigan in the coronavirus contact-tracing effort.

Yes. That means all the worst things it sounds like. The Michigan taxpayers would have been paying a company that manages voter- and donor-database building for Democrats, to help a state agency collect data on them. (See below; the contract has now reportedly been cancelled.)

Although some Michigan news sites were saying on Monday that Every Action VAN was merely one of the companies under consideration, a news release from the state website indicated there was an actual contract (all emphasis added):

    • Whitmer Gives Taxpayer-Funded Coronavirus Contract To Democrat Firm, Man Wished Coronavirus On Trump

Michigan Democrat Governor Gretchen Whitmer rushed to cancel coronavirus contracts that she awarded Democrat consulting firms after she was blasted for trying to use taxpayer money for partisan gain during a national crisis.

“The Whitmer administration announced Monday that it had awarded a contract for contact tracing in the state to Every Action VAN, an arm of the Democratic data behemoth NGP VAN. The liberal firm works with all of the major Democratic campaign committees and hundreds of labor unions across the country,” The Washington Free Beacon reported. “The move has sparked concern that she is using the coronavirus to strengthen the Democratic Party’s data operation, potentially at the expense of public health.”

  24. April Ryan: Protestors who contract coronavirus should be forced to refuse medical care
By LU Staff April 22, 2020

CNN political analyst April Ryan has come up with a “modest proposal” for dealing with a facet of the coronavirus pandemic as it pertains to Americans. She has couched her proposal in the form of a rhetorical question, but quite obviously the recommendation is one she endorses.

    She writes on Twitter:

  25. Joe Biden Needs Women

Wanted: Strong, feminist gold-digging woman waiting for Biden to die.
    April 22, 2020
    Daniel Greenfield

Joe Biden has been chasing women all his life. The lucky ones were able to run for it. The unlucky ones had to stand up on the stage while he kissed them, sniffed their hair, or groped them in front of their husbands and fathers. And they had to keep quiet so as not to ruin their chances in politics.

Shyness has never been one of Joe’s problems. He tracked down his current wife, a college senior, after he saw a modeling photo of her on a bus shelter. He became infamous for swimming nude in front of female secret service agents. But at 77, he has never needed women as much as he does now.

60% of the Democrat electorate is female. Many of them are black.

  26. 2019 Letter Schiff Sent to Then-DNI Chief Dan Coats Reveals How He Secretly Hid Dozens of Transcripts in Obama’s Spygate Scandal

Award-winning journalist John Solomon obtained a 2019 letter House Intel Chairman Adam (D-CA) sent then-Director of National Intelligence Dan Coats revealing how he secretly hid dozens of transcripts in Obama’s Spygate scandal.

The transcripts in question pertain to the ‘Russian collusion’ investigation.

In September of 2018, the GOP-led House, with bipartisan support, voted to make public the transcripts of 53 witnesses in the bogus Russia probe.

Here we are 19 months later and the transcripts are still hidden from the public even though US Intelligence has declassified and cleared for release.

  27. AG Barr Says He May Go After Governors Who Persist on Authoritarian Coronavirus Lockdown Orders

US Attorney General Bill Barr on Tuesday said he may go after Governors who insist on maintaining authoritarian Coronavirus lockdown orders.

    A

The DOJ could take legal action against Governors drunk on power and infringing on Constitutional rights, Bill Barr said according to Bloomberg News.

Barr said on “The Hugh Hewitt Show” that state’s stay-at-home orders are justified up to a point, but the DOJ could target state and local officials by joining lawsuits filed by citizens over the authoritarian restrictions.

“We have to give businesses more freedom to operate in a way that’s reasonably safe,” Barr said, according to Bloomberg. “To the extent that governors don’t and impinge on either civil rights or on the national commerce — our common market that we have here — then we’ll have to address that.”

  28. Sky News Australia – Tedros Adhanom’s rise from humble African revolutionary to Hollywood A-lister

The leader of the WHO has made an astonishing jump from his humble beginnings in Ethiopian revolutionary group, the Tigray People’s Liberation Front, to bumping shoulders with Hollywood elite such as Lady Gaga, Billie Eilish and Beyonce.

WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom is the man who personally blocked calls to issue travel bans to China in the midst of the greatest virus outbreak in modern history, a decision which likely killed more than 100,000 people according to early academic analysis of infection spread and mortality rates.

But you must forgive Mr Adhanom.

Today he is far too busy to dispute those Chinese talking points he regurgitated to the world in such deadly fashion.

He’s had a music concert to host instead.

Far more important than any exercise of retrospect.

The aptly named “One World, Together at Home” concert pulled together some of the world’s biggest stars to perform comedy or sing in potentially the most disturbing PR stunt this journalist has ever seen.

They raised more than $120 million, which is fantastic, but it’s just a drop in the multi-trillion-dollar devastation this man inflicted on the world through his failure to challenge Chinese propaganda.

“WHO is proud to have co-organized this event with Global Citizen and Lady Gaga, and I also want to thank my colleague Paul Garwood who came up with the idea and has worked incredibly hard for several weeks to make it happen,” Mr Adhanom gushed on social media.

“So humbled, and the whole WHO community is very grateful for the support that poured over 8 hours.”

He also wrote a few tweets thanking his new pal Beyonce. Awkwardly she never responded.

And the PR didn’t stop there.

Mr Adhanom will hold a Q and A with Indian superstar actress Deepika Padukone – one of the highest-paid movie stars in India – which was promoted with professional black-and-white photographs of the pair edited gallantly side-by-side.

Despite being mocked relentlessly in the comments of every post, Mr Adhanom is relentless.

He tweets dozens of times a day, seemingly oblivious to the overwhelming calls to resign and even face a criminal investigation.

Today his tweets have taken a bizarre turn.

He wrote a single word this morning, “forgive”, which as you can expect has not been well received.

Then an hour later he followed it up with another single word tweet, this time saying “honesty”.

It is disappointing to see an individual who has so much to answer for engage in such calculated, albeit poorly executed, propaganda.

The world does not need a social media influencer to roll out banal utterances to make the masses feel good.

It needed action earlier and now it needs an urgent explanation, not PR spin to save the job of a man beyond redemption.

  30. the gateway pundit – Corrupt Senate Intel Committee Releases Bogus Report Based on Mueller Charges Against Russian Company in a Garbage Case Dropped Last Month

This total garbage tale was promoted by the MSM for the past three plus years and was totally debunked.

But the corrupt Democrats and Republicans on the committee had to get this out now in an effort to protect themselves from the Durham investigation.

Yesterday it was reported that the Senate Intel Committee, led by Republican Senator Richard Burr and Democrat Senator Mark Warner, released a report, without support, that claims Russia influenced the 2016 Presidential election in an effort to help candidate Trump win. Of course this is nonsense as it has been debunked numerous times these past few years.

Lou Dobbs discussed this report with Republican Representative Devin Nunes last night on Lou Dobbs Tonight on FOX Business Network:

Nunes stood by his report which contradicts the Senate report. Nunes said he and his fellow Republicans on the committees will continue to pursue the truth no matter what the liberal media, Democrats, the DOJ, Durham or the Senate do.

Unfortunately for America and the truth, the Republican running the Intel Committee is Senator Richard Burr. Burr has been a Trump hater from the start. Although a Republican, he runs the Intel Committee as if he were a Democrat. Burr was responsible for the horrible hearing with James Comey in early 2017 when Burr and Comey did all they could to slander President Trump and have him removed from office.

Burr also brought in the President’s son for hours of questioning before his committee related to the event in Trump Tower which we now know was a set up. Burr’s actions are abusive and corrupt.

And recently, Burr reportedly made hundreds of thousands of dollars in stock trades in January based on insider information and is currently under investigation by the DOJ for these trades. Burr does not like the President and has worked to impeach him but for some reason is allowed to continue to run the Republican led Intel Committee by Senator Majority Leader McConnell.

    The Senate Report

Unfortunately for Senators Burr and Warner, their report was garbage and has been debunked numerous times already. The 85 page report looked like it was thrown together from debunked information that was first released a few years ago. It literally is a joke but the New York Times praised the masterpiece:

For years, President Trump has derided the assessment by American intelligence officials that Russia interfered in the 2016 presidential election to assist his candidacy, dismissing it without evidence as the work of a “deep state” out to undermine his victory.

But on Tuesday, a long-awaited Senate review led by members of Mr. Trump’s own party effectively undercut those allegations. A three-year review by the Republican-led Senate Intelligence Committee unanimously found that the intelligence community assessment, pinning blame on Russia and outlining its goals to undercut American democracy, was fundamentally sound and untainted by politics.

But the Democrats and the New York Times are again pushing more fake news per a cursory review of the Intel report released yesterday. The report is all about how the Russians created a misinformation campaign in 2016 to help candidate Trump beat Hillary Clinton in the election. They claim a company by the name of the Internet Research Agency (IRA) used social media to conduct the Russian misinformation campaign:

    • CNN – Study: Drug touted by Trump, Fox News hosts linked to higher death rate

      ( 9 min 35 )

Coronavirus patients taking hydroxychloroquine, a treatment touted by President Trump and often by Fox News hosts, were no less likely to need mechanical ventilation and had higher deaths rates compared to those who did not take the drug, according to a study of hundreds of patients at US Veterans Health Administration medical centers.

The study, which reviewed veterans’ medical charts, was posted Tuesday on medrxiv.org, a pre-print server, meaning it was not peer reviewed or published in a medical journal.

The research was funded by the National Institutes of Health and the University of Virginia.

In the study of 368 patients, 97 patients who took hydroxychloroquine had a 27.8% death rate. The 158 patients who did not take the drug had an 11.4% death rate.
