This document was written around the time this site was created, for those who wish to understand what this site is about. And while our understanding of the world and events has grown since then, the basic ideas remain sound and true to the purpose.

Chinese doctors travel to Italy to lend a much-needed hand

After healing the sick in China, these doctors now come to help their Italian counterparts.
On Thursday evening, a team of Chinese doctors arrived in Italy to lend their expertise to their struggling Italian colleagues, along with 31 tons of supplies.
Teams of Chinese medical staff have also been sent to other coronavirus hotspots like Iran and Iraq. Organized by the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC), nine doctors have now arrived in Italy to continue the fight against COVID-19, offering their guidance and help to a country whose elderly are dying at an alarming rate.
“Italy lauds China for its fight against the disease, and thanks China for providing support and assistance in such difficult time. Italy wants to exchange experience to prevent and contain the virus,” shared Francesco Rocca, the president of the IRFC.
With Italy being the most badly affected country to be hit by the virus, outside of China, their supplies, such as protective suits and face masks, are running low, and their medical professionals are exhausted.
As the Chinese ambassador to Italy, Li Junhua, explained on social media, the virus is indeed borderless and countries need to come together in their efforts to combat the deadly virus. These visiting doctors are a good example of a shared humanity.
In the past, Italians have also helped China, “In 2008, Sichuan was struck by a massive earthquake and Italy sent 14 doctors to help. They stayed a long time in Mianyang, one of the worst-hit cities, and treated some 900 patients,” shared Shen Ji, the head of Sichuan’s Health and Family Planning Commission, in a report by CGTN.
With doctors and nurses all over the world working exhaustively to help those in need, our prayers and gratitude go out to all these wonderful men and women who put their lives at risk to follow their vocation to help those in need.
The EU is abandoning Italy in its hour of need
In a shameful abdication of responsibility, fellow countries in the EU have failed to give medical assistance and supplies to Italy during an outbreak. China is filling the void.
Italy is in lockdown … Just grocery stores and pharmacies are allowed to stay open, and only absolutely necessary travel is permitted. One might think that fellow European Union countries would count their blessings and send their Italian friends a few vital supplies, especially since the Italians have asked for it. They have sent nothing.
EU countries’ shameful lack of solidarity with the Italians points to a larger problem: What would European countries do if one of them faced an even greater crisis?
…Europe’s selfishness is morally lamentable, and it’s unwise, because misery loves company. A struggling Italy will drag its European friends down, too, starting with their economies. But the cold response to Italy’s plea points to a larger issue: How would European allies respond in case of crisis even more devastating than the coronavirus—say, a massive cyberattack that knocks out power for a prolonged period of time?

No we can’t let China get a toehold in Europe, right now Italy is their best chance although if they will help Greece keep its border intact they would have another place on the bottom of Europe to hold. One or more Client States in Europe would really help China, I may be wrong but it is doubtful that the CCP will survive the economic problems that the flu is causing. I don’t know if it was earlier this month or late last month but Gordon Chang was interviewed by a couple of people and he said that it looks like the CCP is toast. We will have to wait and see.

MOSCOW (Reuters) – Russia’s Constitutional Court on Monday ruled that President Vladimir Putin’s proposed changes to the constitution that could allow him to remain in power until 2036 were in line with Russian law.
Putin last week backed an amendment that would allow him to ignore a constitutional ban on him running again for president in 2024.

“‘Honey trapping’ is one of the methods used by Pakistan’s Inter-Services Intelligence and terror groups to woo youths and security personnel in Indian-administered Kashmir. After several such incidents came to light, Indian armed forces advised its personnel to be cautious.
Police in India’s Jammu and Kashmir have revealed that Pakistan’s federal intelligence agency, Inter Services Intelligence (ISI), has been trying to honey-trap youths in Jammu region. Two youths were arrested from different towns of Jammu region – Arnia and Narwal – in the honey-trap cases, police said.
Confirming the development, Jammu police official said that people from outside the region are involved. Youths and army personnel in Jammu and Kashmir region are often honey-trapped in attempts to ascertain the movement of security personnel in the area.
Police have also conducted raids in some places in the southern state of Telangana after they received information about money transactions between the youths and ISI agents. Police sources said money was deliberately being moved outside the state to avoid suspicion.
After the rise in number of honey-trap incidents in the Indian Army last year, the security agency issued an advisory asking its personnel to be cautious and avoid strangers posing as foreign women or spiritual gurus.
With the increased use of social media, honey-trapping, an old tactic to trap people, has come back into vogue. Reports of honey-trapping incidents in border areas are common but Jammu and Kashmir is particularly important due to its disputed status.”

Commenting on the alliance’s “attempt to penetrate” the region’s “communications and digital networks,” the source indicated that this was made impossible as a result of the deployment and real-world testing of the latest electronic warfare countermeasures.

According to the source, Russia’s electronic countermeasures are powerful enough not only to make snooping impossible, but to screw up warships’ navigation systems, resulting in false readings on their current coordinates.
The US and its NATO allies have substantially increased their reconnaissance patrols along Russia’s borders in recent years, deploying dozens of warships in the Black Sea and sending hundreds of drones and spy planes on intelligence-gathering missions around Crimea, the home to Russia’s Black Sea Fleet.
Late last month, the US deployed the USS Ross guided-missile destroyer into the body of water for drills. The Russian Navy assured observers that it had the capabilities to monitor the warship’s movement. Earlier this month, the Russian military reported detecting 25 foreign aircraft engaged in reconnaissance activities near the country’s borders, with fighters scrambled twice to prevent illegal entry into Russian airspace.
Moscow has repeatedly condemned the US and its NATO allies over their maritime exercises, drone and spy plane flights and bomber drills near Russia’s borders, warning that such behaviour only serves to stoke tensions. The alliance has so far ignored these objections.”

Iran has also been one of the hardest-hit countries, only trailing China and Italy in the number of cases reported. The country has reported 13,938 confirmed cases of the virus with 724 deaths, according to Reuters.
ISIS has lost almost all of its territorial caliphate in the Middle East after a coalition led by the United States attacked their forces — yet the group still remains active in Iraq and Syria.
Islamic State suffered a massive blow in December when American special forces, at the behest of President Donald Trump, conducted a raid on the home of its founder and leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, killing him in the process.
In announcing the death of al-Baghdadi, President Trump said: “He died like a dog, he died like a coward.” He added that “the world is now a much safer place.””

Attacks by rebels near the Grasberg mine have spiked in the past year.

The current shootout caused about 2,000 villagers to flee for safety to neighboring Timika city.

But indigenous Papuans have benefited little and are poorer, sicker and more likely to die young than people elsewhere in Indonesia.”

Is there anyone out there that could tell me if the trial of Habibullah Ahmadi started today in Chatham, Ontario. He is the Muslim man who at the age of 21, beat Sara Anne Widholm, 75 of Windsor, Ontario, Canada while she was walking the Ganatchio Trail in Windsor, Ont. She was found in a coma by other walkers, and she never came out of the coma and died a year later.
According to the Jordan Ruling of 2016, a trial must be held within a 30-month period from arrest and charges being brought until final decision at completion of trial, otherwise the defence can call for all charges to be dismissed. The Jordan date in this case is April, 2020.
If per chance the trial is put on hold because some court dates are being cancelled because of the Coronavirus, does that mean he will walk free?

President Trump on Monday spoke to the nation’s governors as part of his ongoing efforts to assist states in combating the Wuhan Coronavirus.
Like clockwork the lying liberal media hacks only used half of President Trump’s quote to governors in order to cause more panic and mass hysteria.
New York Times reporter Mara Gay is not only bad at math, she deliberately only used half of the President’s quote in order to make it sound like Trump told the governors they are on their own.

FBI claims to have ‘lost’ the record of Michael Flynn’s investigation; pardon under consideration
President Trump said Sunday he is “strongly” considering a complete pardon for former National Security Adviser Michael Flynn, who pleaded guilty to making false statements to the FBI two years ago.
“So now it is reported that, after destroying his life & the life of his wonderful family (and many others also), the FBI, working in conjunction with the Justice Department, has ‘lost’ the records of General Michael Flynn,” Mr. Trump tweeted. “How convenient. I am strongly considering a Full Pardon!”
Typically, the president sidesteps the issue when he’s asked about a possible pardon for Flynn.
Flynn pleaded guilty to making false statements to the FBI about his contacts with the then-Russian ambassador to the U.S. after the 2016 election.
But he asked a federal court in January to withdraw his guilty plea, citing prosecutorial misconduct.
One form of misconduct that Flynn attorney Sidney Powell has publicly alleged is that the original notes from the FBI’s first interview with Flynn have gone missing.

“The Swedish government plans to send up to 150 special forces personnel and helicopters to join a new multinational military mission in sub-Saharan Africa’s troubled Sahel region, the Foreign Ministry said in release.
“The government has decided to submit a bill to the Riksdag [parliament] proposing Swedish participation” in the France-led special operations Task Force Takuba in Mali, the Monday, March 16 release said. “The Swedish contribution is planned to consist of a helicopter-borne rapid reaction force of a maximum of 150 personnel.”
“Sweden’s participation promotes security in Mali and the Sahel region,” Foreign Minister Ann Linde said, adding that it will also “contribute to the fight against international terrorism and ultimately make Sweden safer.”
“The decision concerns a military operation alongside the larger U.N. mission MINUSMA in Mali,” Defense Minister Peter Hultqvist said. “A Special Forces operation is an extremely competent capability that contributes to the stability of the region and to combating and preventing further spread of terrorism in Europe and Sweden.”
More than 200 Swedish military personnel are already deployed to multinational missions in Mali, including MINUSMA and the European Union Training Mission in Mali.
The Swedish Armed Forces began to plan a possible deployment to the Sahel in February.
France has for months been trying to build support for the new special operations Task Force Takuba that will train, advise, assist and accompany local forces in their fight against Islamic State and al-Qaeda affiliates in the region. Takuba is expected to declare initial military capability in the summer and will be fully operational by the autumn.
France hopes that Takuba will comprise around 500 special forces personnel, and a new French deployment will include around 50 special forces personnel who will form the nucleus of Takuba.
So far, Estonia and the Czech Republic have also announced plans to contribute to Takuba, and discussions with Finland and Norway are reportedly ongoing, but Germany and the U.S. have declined…”

Asylum seekers apply to ECHR over mistreatment by Greece

Ali Cengiz Kalkan, the provincial health director of Northwestern Edirne province, told Anadolu Agency that the asylum seekers applied to the ECHR through their lawyers.
Apart from the four asylum seekers, 25 more, who had been subjected to violence by Greece, are preparing to apply to the international court, according to Kalkan.
As of March 16, asylum seekers have been waiting on the Greek border for the last 18 days to reach Europe. Greek security forces use disproportionate force on asylum seekers, with tear gas, pressurized water, and live ammunition.
More than 10,000 asylum seekers spend their nights in tents struggling under harsh conditions as the weather gets colder.
Turkey provided health services to 7,024 asylum seekers
Kalkan conveyed that Turkey has so far provided 7,024 asylum seekers with health services.
He added that three asylum seekers were killed, and 213 injured during Greece’s interventions, while 13 of them are still under treatment in hospitals.
Turkey has been a key transit point for asylum seekers aiming to cross into Europe to start new lives, especially those fleeing war and persecution.
Late last month, Turkey announced it would no longer stop asylum seekers from reaching Europe via land, while banning boat crossings as too dangerous, accusing the EU of failing to keep promises under the 2016 migrant deal.
Ankara also warned that due to incessant attacks on civilians in Idlib, Syria, a million refugees were moving toward Turkey’s borders.
Turkey currently hosts over 3.7 million Syrians, making it the world’s top refugee-hosting country.”
Third Turkish drillship reaches its Mediterranean coast

“Turkey’s third drillship arrived in Ta?ucu, Mersin, a coastal city in the Mediterranean region of the country on March 15, the energy minister said.
Fatih Dönmez said that the Turkish Petroleum Corporation took the ship into its inventory on Jan. 31 and it set off from the U.K.
“We named our third drillship Kanuni. After 18 days of voyage, our ship entered Turkey’s Mediterranean coastal waters on March 13. Kanuni arrived Ta?ucu, Mersin this morning,” he said.
The vessel can extend to a depth of 11,400 meters and drill 3,000 meters underneath.
It was built in 2012 by Samsung in South Korea.
Brazilian energy company Petrobras used it for explorations up to 2015.
Dönmez said that entry to and exit from the ship will be forbidden as part of measures against the coronavirus pandemic.
“The ship arrived in Turkey with 35 personnel of the Turkish Petroleum Corporation. After the relevant procedure-related to COVID-19 is completed, the maintenance, update, and development for Kanuni will start,” he said.
“The ship will start drilling as soon as it is ready,” Dönmez added.
Turkey is currently exploring the Eastern Mediterranean with two drilling vessels Fatih and Yavuz, along with Oruc Reis and Barbaros Hayrettin Pasa seismic vessels in the same region.
The country plans to conduct five offshore drillings in the Eastern Mediterranean this year, according to Turkey’s Annual Presidential Program for 2020.
Turkey also plans to explore the Black Sea region where work has been suspended for a long while.”
