I think that because in this New Year China and Chinese will be more important than ever we, readers and contributors to Vlad Tepes blog need to learn some Chinese words. Let’s begin with this
BAIZUO
Baizuo (pronounced “bye-tswaw) is a Chinese epithet meaning naive western educated person who advocates for peace and equality only to satisfy their own feeling of moral superiority. A baizuo only cares about topics such as immigration, minorities, LGBT and the environment while being obsessed with political correctness to the extent that they import backwards Islamic values for the sake of multiculturalism.
The Chinese see the baizuo as ignorant and arrogant westerners who pity the rest of the world and think they are saviours.
Justin Trudeau’s worldview is a low-resolution caricature of an adult’s worldview.
“Oh yeah. He’s a total BAIZUO.”

“Belgium has decided to strip six Belgo-Moroccan fighters of their Belgian nationality for their involvement in the terror group Sharia4Belgium.
According to the Brussels Times the six suspects flew to Syria before a judge sentenced them in absentia for their participation in the terror organization in 2015.
The court was unable to inform the six men of their conviction due to their lack of a valid address in Belgium.
Two of the defendants, including Said El Morabit, are believed to be dead.
The news outlet added that Turkey is expected to transfer El Morabit’s wife and her sister-in law, along with six children to Belgium.
Federal prosecutor Frederic Van Leeuw said that there are 48 Belgians in conflict zones, including 25 women and 13 men in Syria…”

Turkey deports 3 Swiss nationals for terror links

“Turkey deported three foreign terrorist fighters to Switzerland, the Turkish Interior Ministry said in a statement on Thursday.
The Swiss nationals were sent back to their country of origin as part of Turkey’s ramped-up efforts to repatriate foreign terrorist fighters, it added.
Turkey continues to deport foreign terrorist fighters, the statement added.
The issue of the handling of Daesh/ISIS members and their families detained in Syria — including foreign members of the terror group — has been controversial, with Turkey arguing foreign-born terrorists should be returned to their countries of origin.
Ankara has said several European countries resisted its efforts to send Daesh/ISIS members back to their countries, but that it will nevertheless press forward.
Turkey has so far deported 7,500 Daesh/ISIS members, President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said early December, adding that there are currently 1,149 Daesh/ISIS terrorists in Turkish prisons.”

Don’t ignore far-left extremists, German police say after Leipzig attacks
https://www.dw.com/en/dont-ignore-far-left-extremists-german-police-say-after-leipzig-attacks/a-51863303
“New Year’s violence between left-wing extremists and police in Leipzig has triggered a political row. Attacks on officers have increased in recent years, but police unions have said the violence has “a new quality.”
The violence that broke out between police officers and members of the far-left scene in the eastern German city of Leipzig on New Year’s Eve triggered plenty of heated political reaction.
“This act shows that inhuman violence also comes from the left-wing extremist scene,” Interior Minister Horst Seehofer told the dpa news agency on Thursday, before adding that a strong state needed a strong police force.
The point was echoed by Leipzig Mayor Burkhard Jung, a Social Democrat who has faced criticism from right-wing parties in the past for failing to crack down on the city’s left-wing extremists.
“The New Year, unfortunately, did not begin peacefully at all, but started with a serious criminal outbreak of violence,” Jung told dpa. “My thoughts are with the injured policeman and his family, and I wish him a speedy recovery.”
A 38-year-old police officer had to undergo an emergency operation after being attacked in the city’s Connewitz district, known for its left-wing scene. According to the police statement released in the early hours of New Year’s Day, a group of people pushed a burning shopping cart into a group of police just after midnight then threw a barrage of fireworks at the officers. A total of 10 people were arrested, with police launching an investigation for attempted murder.
Violence against police
Left-wing politicians blamed police tactics on the outbreak of violence. Juliane Nagel, a socialist Left party representative in the Saxon parliament, who was in Connewitz on New Year’s Eve, published a blog post on Wednesday describing how police officers charged the crowds and injured people and criticized the police’s public communications ahead of the violence.
Nagel also insisted that none of the police actions justified violence against the authorities. That was a view underlined by Germany’s two major police unions.
“There is no justification for someone whose job it is to protect public safety to have fireworks and bottles thrown at them,” said Jörg Radek, deputy leader of the GdP police union.
Germany’s latest police crime statistics, released in April last year, showed a 40% increase in attacks and resistance against police officers, though this was partly down to the creation of new crime categories. “We have an average we have 32 attacks on police officers per day,” Radek told DW, adding that the attacks usually aren’t carried out by extremists. “We’re talking about someone being asked for their ID, and instead punching the officer.”
Meanwhile, Rainer Wendt, head of the German police union DPolG, found even stronger words to describe the violence in Leipzig.
“The basic definition of terrorism is spreading fear among the population through violence, and exactly that is happening here,” he told DW. “But this is a new quality: a targeted life-threatening attack on officers, and we have to assume, unfortunately, that at some point someone might be killed.”
Left-wing violence
Official statistics suggest in Germany, overall, far-left violence is less of a threat than far-right violence. The Office for the Protection of the Constitution, Germany’s domestic intelligence agency, said there are around 9,000 “violence-orientated” left-wing extremists and just over 12,000 right-wing extremists active in Germany.
Saxony, where Leipzig is located, has proved an epicenter for both kinds of extremism, where rival subcultures have developed in many areas. In November, the state government formed a new “Soko LinX,” a police special unit focused on left-wing violence, after a series of arson attacks on construction sites and companies in Leipzig. One employee was also physically assaulted.
Wendt was also keen to argue that the left-wing “centers” — often former squats and communes — should be broken up, on the grounds that acts of violence were “planned” there.
“We can only praise Saxony that it has put this phenomenon onto this level,” said Wendt. “It is right and important to fight far-right extremism with all means, but that doesn’t mean we should disregard the left.””

Sputnik news – BREAKING: Iranian Quds Commander Qasem Soleimani, PMF Deputy Leader Killed in Baghdad Airport Attack – Report
Three rockets landed on the edge of Baghdad International Airport in the Iraqi capital early Friday morning, causing explosions, according to local reporters. At least 12 Iraqi servicemen were injured and 8 people killed, as well as several leaders of the Iraqi Popular Mobilization Forces, including head of protocol affairs Mohammed Rida al-Jabri.
The attack reportedly targeted several SUVs belonging to a leadership committee of the Popular Mobilization Forces, the collection of semi-independent militias tied to the Iraqi government that were formed to fight Daesh in 2014.
A Sky News reporter tweeted in Arabic about the potential deaths of PMF leader Abu Mahdi Al-Muhandis and Muhammad al-Kawtharani, a leader in Lebanon’s Hezbollah, but these have not yet been confirmed.
There have also been conflicting reports that perhaps among the dead is Qassem Soleimani, the leader of the Quds Force, an elite unit of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, but that also remains unconfirmed.
At least eight people are reported dead in the attack, according to Agence France-Presse, citing Iraqi security officials.
?The rocket attack comes just days after thousands of Iraqi protesters attempted to storm and set alight the US Embassy in Baghdad, prompting Washington to send 100 US Marines and several Apache attack helicopters to the Iraqi capital from neighboring Kuwait.
Local observers reported that US helicopters were once again in the air following news of the rocket attacks at the airport, which has since been temporarily closed.
Video from the airport shows several locations on fire after the attack. Al Jazeera reported that the rockets landed near the joint US-Iraqi anti-terrorism center and that one rocket hit the air cargo zone near the civilian runway.
Citing a security unit, Reuters reported that the rockets were fired from a Katyusha mobile rocket launcher, which date to the Second World War.
Baghdad International Airport was once home to a cluster of US military facilities, including an airfield, collectively called “Victory Base” during the US counterinsurgency war, and it retains the New Al-Muthana air base enclave on the airport’s western side, near where the attack occurred.
A previous rocket attack on the counter-terrorism center on December 9, 2019, wounded six Iraqi members of the elite counter-terror unit.

al jazeera – Iraqi state TV, officials: Gen Qassem Soleimani, the head of Iran’s elite Quds force, has been killed in an airstrike
Iran’s Qassem Soleimani killed in US airstrike in Baghdad airport
Nighttime incident occurred amid tensions with the US after Iraqi protesters attacked the US Embassy in Baghdad.
General Qassem Soleimani, the head of Iran’s elite Quds force, has been reported killed alongside six others following a US airstrike at Baghdad’s international airport.
Iraqi officials and the state television reported that aside from Soleimani, Iraqi militia commander Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis was also killed in the attack.
Ahmed al-Assadi, a spokesman for Iraq’s Popular Mobilisation Forces (PMF) umbrella grouping of Iran-backed militias, also confirmed the deaths of Soleimani and Muhandis.
Two unnamed US officials told Reuters news agency that the US carried out the targeted airstrikes.
Sources from the Popular Mobilisation Forces (PMF) earlier told Al Jazeera that the rockets destroyed two vehicles carrying “high profile guests”, who had arrived at the airport and were being escorted by a PMF public relations official.
Al Jazeera’s Osama bin Javaid, reporting from Baghdad, said the incident appeared to be a targeted strike.
In an interview with Al Jazeera, former US Assistant Secretary of Defense Lawrence Korb said “there is no doubt” that the US wanted to target Soleimani “for a while”.
Witnesses in the area also told Al Jazeera that they could hear the sounds of sirens and helicopters in the air following the pre-dawn attack.
The area of the incident has been cordoned off, authorities told Al Jazeera, but the international airport remains in operation.
Our correspondent added that the attack took place near the base of the US-led coalition forces.
The attack occurred amid tensions with the US after an Iran-backed militia and other protesters breached the United States’s Embassy in Baghdad.
The attack at the embassy on New Year’s Eve was in response to a deadly US airstrike that killed 25 forces of the PMF, also known as the Hashd al-Shaabi group.
More details to follow.
