‘Role Play’? Swedish School Forces Pupils to Recite Muslim Prayer in Arabic – Reports (sputniknews, Dec 24, 2019)

“When angry parents contacted the school in Kalmar County in southern Sweden, its authorities said it was merely “role-play”.
Fifth-grade pupils in Bjurbäcksskolan, Emmaboda Municipality had to participate in a religion lesson, where they kneeled on prayer mats facing Mecca and worshipped Allah in Arabic, the news outlet Samhällsnytt reported.
The class was also reportedly divided by gender and the girls had to move to the back of the room.
“Today my girls came home from school and told me that they were forced to lie on prayer mats and pray in Arabic. The girls had to be in the back of the classroom. Then they would dance to Arabic music and eat Arabic cake. My girls did not even want to be there because they could not understand a word of what the teacher read from the Quran in Arabic”, an angry parent who called himself Markus told Samhällsnytt.
According to Markus, some students brought their own mats. The teacher distributed mats to the students who did not have their own. The pupils would be facing the Kaaba, the centrepiece of the Great Mosque of Mecca.
When confronted by parents, school authorities said it was “role-playing”.
“I was obviously upset to hear that. That the school, at lesson time, chooses to divide the children by gender and put the girls in the back of the classroom is absolutely crazy. As is kneeling on a rug and praying to Mecca. All while a native speaker recites the Quran”, Markus told Samhällsnytt.
According to Markus, kneeling in the face of a “hostile” religion that “oppresses and marginalises girls” contradicts the very idea of school education and sends the wrong kind of message, as is the idea that one gender is somehow more important than the other.
By his own admission, Markus wants the school to apologise, explain itself and follow Sweden’s laws. He has requested that the headmaster take a time out during the investigation period.

The incident sparked an outcry on social media, where many found it untenable and interpreted is as a sign of Islamisation.

Earlier this year, a video of Danish pupils kneeling on the ground and chanting “Allahu Akbar” (“God is great”) under their teacher’s supervision sparked outrage in Sweden’s neighbouring country. The video was not intended for the public eye and sparked many accusations of “indoctrination”.
At 8.1 per cent of the population, according to a 2017 Pew Research report, Islam is Sweden’s largest minority religion.”

“The number of girls sold into forced marriages and the rate of so-called “honour crimes” spikes during the Christmas season, a UK based charity has claimed.
Karma Nirvana, a national charity that trains the police, NHS, and social services on the issue of honour-based abuse and forced marriage, said that the horrific crimes against girls and women spike during the holiday season in the UK.
The charity said that “honour crimes” including forced marriages, female genital mutilation and “honour killings” rose by 57 per cent during December of last year and January of this year, according to The Independent.
Natasha Rattu, the director of Karma Nirvana, said that despite the spike in honour crimes, the charity receives 22 per cent fewer calls from the public and officials during December because authorities believe it to be a low-risk period.
“It is strange you do not get the same increase of calls before Christmas as you get before other holidays because we know that pupils go missing around Christmas. We tend to find it is the week before they break up because travel tends to be cheaper”, Rattu said.
“Those absences go unnoticed because it is Christmas – girls at risk are more invisible at that time of year. Everything before and over Christmas grinds down to a halt. There are often fears among victims about escalation over the festive period”, she added.
In 2017 Breitbart London reported that “honour crimes” rose by over 40 per cent in London over the prior five years, with the rate of forced marriages doubling during the same time period.
The report found that girls under the age of ten were amongst the victims and that women and girls from an “Asian” background comprised the majority of the victims.
Although legislation was passed in 2014 making forced marriage a jailable offence in England and Wales, the practice persists because like other “honour crimes” it is often committed by the victim’s family.
“It is very much a crime perpetrated by the family and the community. It is very difficult for girls to speak out about. Forced marriage is a hidden crime. There is a lack of understanding among all statutory authorities about honour-based abuse”, said Manna Ahmed, a manager at London Black Women’s Project.
The director of Karma Nirvana said that forced marriage is a particularly “troubling crime” because the “unsuspecting” victims often don’t realise what is happening. Many victims are told by their family that they are visiting relatives for the holidays, before getting married off against their will.”

“Christmas Eve (K??ios) is a more important day than Christmas Day. K??ios is also the name of the big Christmas Eve meal which families have together during the evening of Christmas Eve. K??ios is also the last day of Advent, so it is important and special.
But before the meal can be eaten, lots of preparations have to take place. The whole house is cleaned, the bedding is changed and everyone washes and puts on clean clothes ready for the meal. Many Lithuanians used to go to the bathhouse to be cleaned before the meal. Some people thought being clean helped to protect them from evil or diseases during the coming year. During Christmas Eve, working men would put away their tools and clean the cattle pens and farmyard, etc.
Many people fast (don’t eat anything) during the day. The K??ios meal also shouldn’t contain any meat.
Straw is a traditional decoration. Is it normally spread on the table top and then covered with a clean, white tablecloth. The table is then decorated with candles and small branches or twigs from a fir tree. The straw reminds people of the baby Jesus lying in a manger. A superstition says that if you pull a piece of straw from under the tablecloth and it’s long, you will have a long life; but if it’s short you will have a short life; and a thick straw means a rich and happy life!
Often an extra place is set – for a family member who can’t come to the meal or if a family member has died during the past year. Sometimes a candle is lit to remember family members who died. Some people believe that dead family members come and join the family round the table. People who are going to be alone on Christmas Eve are also invited to meal.
At the center of the table is a plate of Christmas wafers – one wafer for each person at the meal. In some parts of Lithuania the wafers have the scene of the birth of Jesus on them.
The meal starts when the first stars can be seen in the night sky. If it’s cloudy, the ‘head of the house’ decides when the meal will start! The wafers are offered to each person at the table and Christmas greetings are exchanged. Sometimes an apple is also cut into as many people at the meal and is shared. This remembers the apple eaten in the Garden of Eden.
The K??ios meal normally has 12 dishes – one for each of Jesus’s followers. None of the dishes contain meat (and some people also don’t have milk or eggs in them).
Traditional and popular dishes include fish (often herring), k??iukai (small sweet pastries) normally soaked in poppy milk, kisielius (a drink made from cranberries), dried fruit soup, beet soup (often with mushroom filled dumplings in it), vegetable salad, mushrooms, boiled or baked potatoes, sauerkraut, a kind of wheat porridge with honey and bread. Normally water or homemade cider is drunk with the meal.
Sweet dishes are also often eaten including kissel (a fruit soup/jelly thickened with potato flour) and stewed fruit compote.
After the meal (or possibly between the main and sweet courses) there might be a visit from ‘The Old Man of Christmas’ (Santa Claus) with presents! People will also exchange presents between themselves.
When the presents have been exchanged, children often go to bed and the adults might go out to Midnight Mass (Berneli? mišios – which means Shepherds’s Mass).

Hong Kong police fire tear gas to disperse Christmas Eve protesters
HONG KONG (Reuters) – Hong Kong riot police fired rounds of tear gas at thousands of protesters, many wearing masks and reindeer horns, after scuffles in shopping malls and in a prime tourist district as anti-government rallies escalated into chaos on Christmas Eve.
Protesters inside the malls threw umbrellas and other objects at police who responded by beating some demonstrators with batons, with one pointing his gun at the crowd, but not firing.

Buttigieg fundraiser H.K. Park sent an email to a potential donor, who asked to remain anonymous, advising that the wealthy donor would be on the “campaign’s radar” if he donated to the campaign. The Buttigieg campaign lists Park as one of the campaign’s top fundraisers, meaning Park has raised at least $25,000 for the campaign.

House Judiciary floats possibility of impeaching Trump once more over McGahn testimony

House Democrats are open to impeaching President Donald Trump a second time if White House counsel Donald McGahn’s potential testimony reveals the president committed other offenses.
A second impeachment could be necessary if House Democrats see evidence that Trump attempted to obstruct investigations, House counsel Douglas Letter noted in a filing in federal court Monday. Letter was referring Democrats’ pressure for the White House to produce McGahn to testify.
“If McGahn’s testimony produces new evidence supporting the conclusion that President Trump committed impeachable offenses that are not covered by the Articles approved by the House, the [House Judiciary] Committee will proceed accordingly — including, if necessary, by considering whether to recommend new articles of impeachment,” Letter wrote.

Richard: This statement says the Dems know they don’t have any evidence to remove Trump from office and are going to double down after their failure to get people supporting their virtual lynching of a duly elected President.

FRANCE – Yvelines : le corps du père disparu des Mureaux a été retrouvé
Mustapha, 44 ans, n’avait plus donné signe de vie depuis dimanche soir. Son cadavre a été découvert dans la nuit de lundi à mardi dans le parc du Sautour par des proches. Son meurtrier présumé est en garde à vue.
Mustapha est bien décédé. Recherché activement depuis lundi matin dans le parc du Sautour, le corps de cet habitant des Mureaux a été découvert dans la nuit, vers 0h15. Enterré en bordure de chemin, sur une butte, il a été trouvé par des proches, qui participaient aux recherches aux côtés des policiers et d’amis de la victime. Sa main, dépassant d’un fourré, aurait permis de le retrouver.
Les forces de l’ordre ont immédiatement procédé aux investigations sur place. Une vice-procureure s’est également déplacée sur les lieux.
C’est son épouse, inquiète de ne pas le voir revenir, qui avait prévenu les forces de l’ordre. Les traces de sang découvertes devant la porte de leur domicile, dans le quartier des Bougimonts, mais également le téléphone de son conjoint, abandonné par terre, n’avaient fait qu’augmenter son angoisse.
Des plaies dans l’abdomen et la carotide
Lundi matin, dès 7 heures, des habitants du même quartier avaient appelé à leur tour le commissariat des Mureaux, pour leur demander de venir chercher leur fils. Rentré dans la nuit couvert de boue, le jeune homme de 23 ans leur avait confié qu’il venait « de tuer quelqu’un ». Interpellé dans la foulée, Yassine avait avoué aux policiers avoir poignardé le père de famille puis déposé son corps au parc du Sautour, vaste espace vert de 17 ha situé à une centaine de mètres des immeubles de la cité des Musiciens.
Selon les premières constatations, effectuées par le médecin des UMJ (unités médico-judiciaires), le corps de Mustapha présente bien des traces dans l’abdomen de coups portées à l’arme blanche et des plaies profondes au niveau de la carotide. Le corps a été conduit à l’IML (institut médico légal) de Garches pour autopsie.
L’auteur présumé des faits est toujours en garde à vue au commissariat des Mureaux, où sa compagne a également été placée en garde à vue. La physionomie des lieux, dans un parc gadoueux et difficile d’accès, laisse à penser une éventuelle complicité pour transporter le corps. L’enquête menée par le commissariat des Mureaux et la sûreté départementale permettra d’en savoir plus.
Une altercation entre les deux hommes début décembre
Selon plusieurs habitants du quartier, Yassine avait eu une altercation avec Mustapha au début du mois, à propos de sa fille adolescente. Cette dernière avait prévenu ses parents qu’elle subissait une forme de harcèlement depuis près d’un mois de la part de ce jeune homme, qui vit à quelques pas de chez eux. Il la suivait et lui tenait des propos à caractère sexuel, aurait rapporté la jeune fille, qui l’avait ensuite montré à son père. Mustapha serait alors allé voir Yassine pour lui demander de laisser sa fille tranquille. Des coups auraient été échangés. Le jeune homme aurait par la suite décidé de se venger.
La nouvelle de sa mort a suscité une onde de choc aux Mureaux où la famille de Mustapha est très connue. « Ce sont des gens en or, qui n’ont jamais fait parler d’eux, confie un ami. Ses parents sont très respectés. »
Devant le domicile familial, le défilé ininterrompu de proches venus soutenir l’épouse de Mustapha témoigne de la sympathie suscitée par ce père de deux filles et d’un garçon, qui exerçait comme chauffeur poids lourd après avoir travaillé à Argenteuil (Val-d’Oise). « Il était infatigable, un bosseur, levé tôt, rentré tard, dit un autre. C’est triste pour ses parents car son frère est décédé il y a quelques années. »
Ce mardi matin, dès l’annonce de la découverte de son corps, une cagnotte a été lancée sur le site leetchi.com. À 18 heures, elle avait déjà permis de collecter plus de 9 000 €.

Brutal Bloods Make Good on Threat of Retaliation Against NY Muslim Patrol
Members of the brutal Bloods street gang viciously beat a Muslim man outside the Masjid Taqwa mosque in Brooklyn, New York Saturday evening, according to a mosque member.
The beating was seen as retaliation for a Muslim Community Patrol member roughing up a teenage boy who had reportedly “disrespected” a Muslim woman several days earlier.
The wounded man, described as “beaten up real bad,” was sent to Kingsbrook Jewish Medical Center. He told mosque officials the attackers were wearing the known colors of the Bloods –red and black.

Canada: Two Men Fired After Using the Word ‘Eskimo’ in a Private Conversation

Two Canadian men were fired from their jobs after one of them used the word ‘Eskimo’ in a private conversation.
The two men were boarding a flight from Labrador to Newfoundland when Dave Beck said the word “Eskimo.”
His friend Thomas Scott responded by asking, “Can you smell him?”
The conversation was overheard by by Innu Nation member and former Labrador MP Peter Penashue and other passengers.
Beck and Scott, who worked primarily as plasterers and painters, had been working on a hotel renovation project overseen by Kankote Enterprises.
“In spite of several years on the job, and being the only two Kankote employees at the remote Churchill falls, both men were fired and had their names dragged through mud–reducing future job prospects,” reports National File.
Beck pleaded for forgiveness in an extremely pathetic manner.
“I know that’s no excuse for the remarks I made, my words that hurt so many people, especially Indigenous people. I’m not a racist. I would say culturally uneducated. Culturally illiterate,” he told CBC.

During his speech, Rama said, “I know there are controversies around this program,” adding, “I know that when I get back home I will receive an alert from the European Union about this, but I strongly believe this is what we have to do.”

One of the ten questions asks whether the Prime Minister of the Netherlands will consider using the “emergency braking procedure” to suspend visa-free travel for Albanians in the EU.
Addressed to the Dutch Minister of Foreign Affairs and the Prime Minister, the question submitted today raise a number of concerns about how the scheme will allow rich people from outside the EU to travel in the Schengen Area.

“Islamist Fulani raiders are waging a barbaric war on Nigeria’s Christians, the Wall Street Journal reported this week, in a brutal campaign to rid the country’s Middle Belt of non-Muslims.
In his first-hand account of the atrocities in the former British colony, Bernard-Henri Lévy writes the Fulani extremists now pose a greater threat than the Islamic terror group Boko Haram, and are responsible for systematic jihadist attacks involving burning, raping, maiming, pillaging, and killing.
Lévy describes the campaign as a “slow-motion war” against Nigeria’s Christians, “massive in scale and horrific in brutality.” And worst of all, he asserts, “the world has hardly noticed.”
Present throughout Nigeria and numbering between 14 and 15 million, the Fulani raiders originated in the country’s mostly Muslim north but have made their way south where they have been carrying out a reign of terror on Christians.
Mainstream media usually describe the conflict as ethnic and economic in flat-out denial of the thoroughly religious nature of the attacks, something Lévy ascribes to “professional disinformers.”
“They are Islamic extremists of a new stripe,” says a Nigerian NGO director interviewed by Lévy, “more or less linked with Boko Haram.”
According to the 2019 Global Terrorism Index, the Fulani militants are now deadlier than Boko Haram and carried out the majority of the Nigeria’s 2,040 documented terrorist fatalities in 2018.
In his account, Lévy chronicles a series of atrocities: “The mutilated cadavers of women. A mute man commanded to deny his faith, then cut up with a machete until he screams. A girl strangled with the chain of her crucifix.”
This past summer, Fulani raiders rode motorcycles into the village of a 28-year-old woman named Jumai Victor, shouting “Allahu Akbar!” and torching houses. The Islamists killed her four children before her eyes and proceeded to slice up and amputate her left arm with a machete. The woman was visibly pregnant at the time.
Another woman, 34-year-old Lyndia David, tells a similar story of a raid last March, when Fulani extremists set her house on fire, cut three fingers off her right hand, slashed the back of her neck with a machete, shot her, soaked her body with gasoline, and lit her on fire.
Miraculously, the woman survived.
There are “too many Christians in Lagos,” one of the Fulani told Lévy. “The Christians are dogs and children of dogs. You say Christians. To us they are traitors. They adopted the religion of the whites. There is no place here for friends of the whites, who are impure.”
According to the Anglican bishop of Jos, Benjamin Kwashi, the Fulani raiders are trying to spread fear throughout the region so that the survivors of their attacks will convince others to leave. Their brutality is essential to create an atmosphere of terror among local Christians.
Whereas the Boko Haram group is confined to as little as 5 percent of Nigerian territory, Lévy notes, “the Fulani terrorists operate across the country.”
Locals complain that the government is complicit in the attacks, turning a blind eye as Christians are massacred.
“What do you expect?” Lévy’s driver — a Christian — asked him while traveling to his burned-down church. “The army is in league with the Fulani. They go hand in hand.” After one attack, “we even found a dog tag and a uniform,” he said.
Nearly the entire political bureaucracy is Fulani as well, including President Muhammadu Buhari, which accounts for the government’s failure to intervene to stop the slaughter.
“It’s hardly surprising,” says lawyer Dalyop Salomon Mwantiri. “The general staff of the Nigerian army is a Fulani. The whole bureaucracy is Fulani.”
And meanwhile the West sleeps, Lévy notes, oblivious to the carnage and systematic extermination of Christians.
“Will the West let history repeat itself in Nigeria?” he asks. “Will we wait, as usual, until the disaster is done before taking notice? Will we stand by as international Islamic extremism opens a new front across this vast land, where the children of Abraham have coexisted for so long?””

Thanks to user reports, the two 16-year-old boys featured in the video were promptly identified and arrested in Essonne in the suburbs of Paris, with Equality Minister Marlene Schiappa telling Le Parisien that she had demanded that Twitter remove the video.
However, she ascertained that the social network was initially “not up to par”, adding that culprits are well aware of it and that’s why “they use it”.
The now deleted minute-long video showed the girl being insulted with strong words and blatantly threatened before she was attacked and reportedly raped in a stairwell.
France’s National Police said on Friday evening that many Twitter users had alerted them to it, with officers asking netizens not to distribute it further. “Thank you for your mobilisation. Thank you for not passing on this video”, the Essonne police pointed out.
An investigation into the incident is currently in full swing.

Minister of Justice and Chairman of the Supreme Judicial Council Sheikh Dr. Walid Al-Samaani issued a circular to all courts stressing the banning of marriage for persons under 18 years.
All such requests are to be referred to the specialized court to complete the formalities in line with the Child Protection Law and while implementing the established regulations.
Al-Samaani’s directives are based on paragraph (16/3) of the executive regulations of the Child Protection Law, which says “before conducting marriage contracts one has to make sure that marrying a person under the age of 18 will not harm him or her and achieve their best interests, male or female.””

US Takes Back 10 ‘Antiterrorism Assistance’ Dogs From Morocco

“The US Department of State has taken back 10 “antiterrorism assistance” dogs from Morocco, announced the US Office of the Inspector General (OIG).
“In August 2019, 10 [Department of State Antiterrorism Assistance] canines were repossessed from Morocco because the dogs were not being used for their intended purpose,” says a report declassified this month.
Morocco has received a number of dogs trained to find explosives under the US Department of State’s antiterrorism assistance program.
The document did not give further specifics on the reasons behind the repossession. However, it gave examples of trained dogs dying of maltreatment in other countries benefiting from the program, such as Jordan and Egypt.
OIG published the report, titled “Management Assistance Report: Continued Health and Welfare Concerns for Antiterrorism Assistance Explosive Detection Canines,” in December 2019 after the Department of State declassified it.
The report evaluated the health and welfare of trained US canines in their host countries.
Antiterrorism assistance dogs are part of the cooperation between Morocco and the US in security and counterterrorism.
On December 5, the head of the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN) in Morocco, Abdellatif Hammouchi, received US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo. Several top security officials from both the US and Morocco attended the meeting.

The AJK president said citizens across India have risen up against the new citizenship law recently introduced by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led government, and “now the slogans of ‘we want freedom’ are rising in every nook and cranny of the country”.
While requesting the Saudi delegation for special prayers for the liberation of Kashmir, he also appreciated the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia particularly for its generous support for the rehabilitation of the people affected in 2005 earthquake as well as providing financial assistance for the construction of modern campus of Azad Jammu and Kashmir University (AJKU) with all-out facilities.

“Keeping “brotherly” Turkey waiting for European Union membership is a “big injustice,” Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev said on Dec. 23.
“Many years have passed since Turkey signed the agreement with the EU. But did the next steps produce any results? Of course not. This is a big injustice,” said Aliyev, speaking on national television.
Turkey applied for EU membership in 1987 and its accession talks began in 2005. But negotiations stalled in 2007 due to the objections of the Greek Cypriot administration as well as opposition from Germany and France.
Aliyev said some former Soviet Union countries became members of the EU while they were neither more developed nor more prepared to join the bloc.
“So why did they accept them but did not admit Turkey? The answer is obvious. Because Turkey is a Muslim country. Now they clearly say that.”
He stressed that in this case, the EU would not accept Azerbaijan as a member either.
Referring to Azerbaijan’s relations with and integration into Europe, Aliyev said “I think we have taken steps to integrate into Europe. There is no need for new steps, and these steps will not yield results.”
He reiterated that his country is a member of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) and the Council of Europe, adding this is a “form of European integration.”
The president also talked about Azerbaijan’s foreign policy, projects with neighboring countries and interior affairs and evaluated 2019, noting it was a successful year for Azerbaijan in terms of realizing goals and developing the country.”
Detention warrants out for 84 FETÖ-linked suspects

“Turkish prosecutors issued detention warrants for 30 suspects on Dec. 24 over links to the Fetullah Terrorist Organization (FETÖ), the group behind the 2016 defeated coup, security sources said.
Prosecutors in the central Konya province said that 23 of the suspects were on duty soldiers.
The suspects were accused of allegedly serving as FETÖ’s “covert imams” — senior members of the terror group — said the source, who asked not to be named due to restrictions on speaking to the media.
The suspects were sought as part of a probe into FETÖ’s clandestine network in the Turkish Armed Forces.
Police conducted simultaneous operations centered in Konya across 23 provinces.
Separately, police detained 34 people for their alleged links to the FETÖ terror group.
Arrest warrants were detained for 54 sergeants in the Turkish Land Forces, including eight active-duty soldiers, as part of a probe into the terror group’s infiltration of the Turkish Land Forces, according to the prosecutors in Istanbul.
In Istanbul-centered simultaneous operations across 16 provinces, 34 suspects were detained.
The detentions came on charges of using ByLock, the terror group’s encrypted smartphone messaging app and having communicated with the terror group members via payphone.
FETÖ and its U.S.-based leader Fetullah Gülen orchestrated the defeated coup of July 15, 2016, which left 251 people killed and nearly 2,200 injured.
Turkey accuses FETÖ of being behind a long-running campaign to overthrow the state through the infiltration of Turkish institutions, particularly the military, police, and judiciary.”

“Any plan excluding Turkey in the Eastern Mediterranean is impossible, and Turkey will not shrink from steps needed to stand with the Libyan government and its people, said Turkey’s presidential spokesman on Tuesday.
“Turkey will continue to support Libya’s legitimate, internationally recognized government, and will not forsake the Libyan people,” Ibrahim Kalin told reporters following a Cabinet meeting at the presidential complex.
Turkey on Nov. 27 signed maritime boundary and security cooperation pacts with Libya’s Tripoli-based, internationally recognized Government of National Accord (GNA), spurning moves by other countries to carve up the Eastern Mediterranean without Turkish participation.
Dismissing the criticism of the maritime deal between Turkey and Libya, Kalin said that the pact contains nothing to disturb third parties.
When Israel, Egypt, Greece, and the Greek Cypriot administration met and made deals on a project in the Eastern Mediterranean excluding Turkey, no one questioned this, Kalin said.
Criticizing parties which question the legitimacy of the maritime deal, Kalin stressed that nobody question the deals between Libya’s GNA with Italy and France.
On Russias, Egyptian, and UAE support for Libyan commander Khalifa Haftar — who leads forces opposed to the GNA — Kalin stressed that this does not contribute to peace in the country.
Since the ouster of late leader Muammar Gaddafi in 2011, two seats of power have emerged in Libya: one in eastern Libya supported mainly by Egypt and the United Arab Emirates, and another in Tripoli, which enjoys UN and international recognition.
Syria and terrorist YPG/PKK
On continued Russian and Assad regime attacks in Idlib, northern Syria — which is supposed to be under a cease-fire — Kalin said that Turkey expects a halt to these attacks as soon as possible through a new cease-fire.
Mentioning that Turkey has 12 military observation points in Idlib, Kalin said that they are observing the de-escalation situation and taking measures to ensure the safety of civilians in the region.
“However, in recent weeks we have observed an increase in violations by the regime,” he said.
If the attacks do not cease, the cease-fire deal will be violated, setting off a new humanitarian crisis and refugee wave to Turkey, he warned.
Turkey and Russia agreed last September to turn Idlib into a de-escalation zone in which acts of aggression are expressly prohibited.
Since then, more than 1,300 civilians have been killed in attacks by the regime and Russian forces in the de-escalation zone as the cease-fire continues to be violated.
Over a million Syrians have moved near the Turkish border following intense attacks.
Kalin also said that Turkey will stand against any movement towards its borders if it happens due to U.S. or Russian relations with YPG/PKK terrorists.
“We see that, some countries, some Gulf countries hold various meetings with Ferhat Abdi Sahin, code-named Mazloum Kobani, one of the YPG/PKK ringleaders, seeking an opportunity to use him against Turkey, we are noting this,” Kalin stressed.
Turkey launched Operation Peace Spring on Oct. 9 to eliminate YPG/PKK terrorists from northern Syria east of the Euphrates River to secure Turkey’s borders, aid in the safe return of Syrian refugees, and ensure Syria’s territorial integrity.
Since then, Turkey reached agreements with both the U.S. and Russia to force the terrorist YPG/PKK to withdraw from the planned terror-free zone along Turkey’s borders.
The U.S. has worked with the YPG in the name of fighting Daesh terrorists, ignoring Turkish objections that using one terrorist group to fight another makes no sense.

“Terror group YPG/PKK recruits foreign national orphan children held hostage in a camp in northern Syria and trains them to fight against Turkish and Syrian soldiers, according to security sources on Tuesday.
A terrorist who surrendered to security forces in Turkey’s southeastern Mardin province revealed the YPG/PKK’s malice once again, said the sources, who asked not to be named due to restrictions on speaking to the media.
Identified by initials H.A., the terrorist said the orphan children held hostage in al-Hol Camp in northern Syria’s Hasakah city were being forcibly trained to use weapons.
Over 100 children, aged 12-14, were forcibly recruited and taken to al-Roj camp to be trained against the Turkish Armed Forces and Syrian National Army.
According to the sources, the situation is caused by a heavy blow to the YPG/PKK as the group has difficulty to replace those who were neutralized or escaped the group and surrendered.
It was a sign of the last efforts of the terror group before its disintegration, they added.

“A 28-year-old Moroccan man was foiled from snatching a two-year-old girl from a street near the northern city of Monza near Milan on Monday, police said Tuesday.
The man allegedly tried to strangle the girl’s grandfather, who was pushing her pushchair, and seize the child, police said.
He broke one of the grandfather’s fingers.
The young man was stopped by passersby who held him down on the ground until the police arrived.
The incident took place at Bellusco.
The man was arrested on charges of attempted murder and attempted kidnapping.
He is being held in a local jail.
Police said the man has been living in Italy for several years without a stay permit.
He has a criminal record, especially for drugs, police said.
The grandfather was taken to hospital with a broken finger and widespread bruising around his neck.
The girl was not hurt.
The assailant has yet to explain why he did it, police said.”

Six Nigerian migrants have been convicted of gang raping a 25-year-old woman at the CARA asylum center in the southern Italian city of Bari in 2017.
Olatunde Opaleye, 38 Uche Oliver, 22, Henry Sule, 26, Semiu Oguntade, 22, Emmanuel Ohenhen, 23, and Otaniyen Sunday, 35, were all handed prison terms ranging from five to nine years by an Italian court earlier this month, ANSA news reports.
Bari police officers who conducted investigations alongside prosecutors say the 25-year-old victim was raped and trafficked while she was still in Libya and then again once she made it to Italy, where the perpetrators threated to kill her if she didn’t follow their commands.
Some of the defendants in the case are said to be among the 32 suspects who are believed by investigators to be part of a Nigerian mafia clan that operated out of the CARA asylum center in Bari. The group is said to have trafficked in illegal prostitution.
A source close to the investigation said that the 25-year-old rape victim told investigators that the group had created a climate of “terror” at the asylum facility to maintain their dominance.
The longest prison sentence was handed to one of the alleged leaders of the gang, 38-year-old Olatunde Opaleye, also known as “Egbon”. After being found guilty of violence and aggravated gang rape, the judge sentenced Opaleye to 9 years in prison.
The rest of the defendants were sentenced to five years in prison. The judge also ordered defendants to pay restitution to the victim. The victim now lives in a protected facility.
