Europe is never going to break the yoke imposed on it by the Turks.
With the weakening of the Kurds in Syria and their imminent fall, the Islamic State will have a corridor directed towards the West.

China has issued an angry statement over Stephen Harper’s recent visit to Taipei, the capital of Taiwan. His visit makes him the first former Prime Minister to step foot in the province/country and he publicly praised Taiwan’s democratic process, while giving a thinly veiled critique of Communist China.
“China expresses strong dissatisfaction with the relevant Canadian person’s visit to Taiwan and has lodged serious representations to the Canadian side,” China’s Foreign Ministry said in a statement to the Globe and Mail.
“We urge Canada to fully recognize the sensitivity and complexity of the Taiwan issue, to earnestly abide by the one-China principle and properly handle Taiwan-related issues,” the Foreign Ministry said.

I have been watching the war develop since the end of Gulf War one in 92, when we didn’t go into Baghdad and finish off Saddam and his regime we sowed more seeds that are bringing about the coming war. Although the real start of this was in 1979 when Jimmy Carter kicked the Shah out and then did nothing when the Iranian fundamentalist seized the US Embassy. Since then there have been many chances to stop the war but the left always blocked them. Things have now reached the point where nothing we ccan do will stop the war, all we can do is prepare for the war and pray we 1) win the war 2) survive the war and 3) are still free at the end of the war.
Several months to a year ago you said that some people in Israel were expecting a major two from war within 12 to 18 months. From what I have seen since then that prediction of the start of (WWIII WWIV you choose) won’t be too far off.

“Would-be Democratic presidential candidate Tulsi Gabbard has stated publicly that the US government has supported Al-Qaeda terrorists, not least in their bid to overthrow the Syrian government. Gabbard is the most high-profile US politician to confirm what has been speculated about widely over the years and has vowed to end such support.
The Hawaiian Congresswoman and military veteran who served in Iraq has long been critical of US involvement in Syria. She made her comment during a debate between the Democratic Party’s presidential hopefuls. If elected, she said that she would “stop supporting terrorists like Al-Qaeda who have been the ground force for the regime-change war in Syria.”
Significantly, Gabbard has sponsored the Stop Arming the Terrorists Act. The legislation would stop the US government from “using taxpayer dollars to directly or indirectly support groups who are allied with and supporting terrorist groups like ISIS and Al-Qaeda” and is based on congressional action during the Iran-Contra affair to prevent the CIA from illegally arming Nicaraguan rebels.
The CIA has also been supporting a group called Fursan Al-Haqq, “providing them with salaries, weapons and support, including surface to air missiles. This group is cooperating with and fighting alongside an Al-Qaeda affiliated group trying to overthrow the Syrian government. The Levant Front is another so-called moderate umbrella group of Syrian opposition fighters. Over the past year, the United States has been working with Turkey to give this group intelligence support and other forms of military assistance. This group has joined forces with Al-Qaeda’s offshoot group in Syria.”
The trafficking of arms to Al-Qaeda and Daesh by the US and its allies has been well documented. According to investigative journalism site Arms Watch, leaked documents showed how US purchased weapons had been trafficked to Daesh fighters in Yemen and Syria.
Gabbard has stated previously that, “Under US law it is illegal for any American to provide money or assistance to Al-Qaeda, ISIS or other terrorist groups… Yet the US government has been violating this law for years, quietly supporting allies and partners of Al-Qaeda, ISIL, Jabhat Fateh al Sham and other terrorist groups with money, weapons and intelligence support, in their fight to overthrow the Syrian government.”
During the debate in the House, she also promised to lift draconian sanctions which have contributed to the suffering of the Syrian people, and to put an end to the war waged by the Saudi-led coalition against Yemen.”

“The UAE is pumping millions of dollars into “vast and influential” lobbying efforts in the US, using a range of public relations companies to help shape foreign policy issues, a report by a Washington-based non-profit alleged this week.
The report published by the Center for International Policy (CIP) claims that 20 US companies were paid around $20 million to lobby politicians and other influential institutions on foreign policy issues.
“Though the Emirati’s influence operation differs notably from the Saudi’s in many ways, both rely heavily on their FARA registered lobbying and public relations firms to brandish their image in the US, and to keep their transgressions out of the public consciousness as much as possible,” the report reads.
The report is part of CIP’s Foreign Influence Transparency Initiative, which aims to elucidate the “half-billion-dollar foreign influence industry working to shape US foreign policy every single day”.
The report added Emirati influence operation targeted legislators, non-profits, media outlets and think-tanks in an attempt to portray the UAE to the world in a positive light.
The report noted that the image of the UAE’s key ally, Saudi Arabia, declined significantly after the murder of prominent journalist Jamal Khashoggi.
“Following Khashoggi’s murder, several lobbying, public relations firms, and think tanks ended their relationship with the Saudis. Congress passed multiple resolutions to punish the Saudis”, the report said.
“And, generally, the Saudis were seen as something of a pariah in DC. Yet, Saudi Arabia’s close ally, the United Arab Emirates, continues to be seen as a stalwart US ally by most in the nation’s capital.”
Despite the attacks on human rights, “the UAE has a vast and immensely influential lobbying and public relations campaign in America, that has allowed the monarchy to exert considerable sway over U.S. policy while keeping the UAE’s indiscretions largely hidden”, the report explained.”

For years, human rights groups have accused the rebels of planting landmines, recruiting children, withholding aid and shelling civilian areas.
The Houthis have also imposed a siege on Yemen’s third largest city – Taiz.

“The Council of Europe Commissioner for Human Rights Dunja Mijatovic on Thursday asked Bosnian authorities to close the makeshift Vucijak migrant camp near Bihac, which she said is “overcrowded with migrants and to avoid a humanitarian crisis”.
Mijatovic said the situation in the camp is alarming due to its vicinity to minefields and for the lack of food, running water, and electricity, with the consequent precarious sanitary conditions.

Material in a batch of German intelligence documents on Tehran’s illegal nuclear conduct in the federal republic as late as 2018 necessitate “confronting Iran with the intelligence and asking hard questions,” according to one of the leading international authorities on arms control.
Emily B. Landau, director of the Arms Control and Regional Security Project at the Institute for National Security Studies in Tel Aviv, told The Jerusalem Post that the documents prove that Iran has not kept to its commitment outlined in the 2015 nuclear deal.
“First, it is important that this intel be widely published and that it become part of the public debate over Iran, as it indicates that Iran has not complied with its commitment not to work on military nuclear capability,” she said.
“From my perspective, [the] most important thing at this point is to have it widely known that Iran did not stop everything in 2015 [when the nuclear deal was reached], because the debate in Europe ignores this,” she said, adding, “The point is that it [Iran] has continued these efforts well after the JCPOA [(Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action) was reached].”
Landau is the author of Arms Control in the Middle East: Cooperative Security Dialogue and Regional Constraints. She noted that the Iran deal “set up a special channel regarding procurement for checking issues of this sort,” which is of the sort detailed in the German intelligence documents. “The problem is that the deliberations there get close to zero attention.”
The International Atomic Energy Agency, tasked with ensuring Iran’s regime is in compliance with the 2015 nuclear deal, declined to comment on the documents.
When asked whether the IAEA had reviewed the German intelligence documents, Fredrik Dahl, an IAEA spokesman, told the Post: “We have no comment.” Dahl also declined to answer follow-up questions about whether the IAEA will review the reports.

Police around the world have taken down a global child abuse ring in which paedophiles in at least 38 countries gained ‘loyalty points’ for uploading abuse videos to a dark web website and paid in bitcoin to download others.
More than 250,000 horrific videos, stored on a computer server in South Korea and available through a website called ‘Welcome To Video’, were sold to paedophiles around the world through the dark web, with more than a million clips downloaded.
The site was uncovered by Britain’s National Crime Agency during its investigation into one of the UK’s most prolific paedophiles, Matthew Falder, who is serving 25 years in prison for 137 offences linked to the sexual abuse of children.
The US Department of Justice has now charged South Korean suspect Jong Woo Son, 23, with running the website, as police forces around the world move in on those who have been using the site.
So far, 337 suspects have been arrested globally, with 18 investigations in the UK and seven British men already convicted. American authorities have raided the homes of 92 people and today released the names 34 people arrested or charged in the U.S.
