First of all, this is very true and highly predictable and in fact, was predicted by every critic of feminism for decades.
But the article you linked carefully avoided a few facts that make this more clear.
Women like to marry up. Women doctors marry surgeons. Its a brutal compromise to marry across and almost unacceptable to marry down. Men see women as desirable and someone to protect and provide for. But women see men as a route to power, prestige, wealth and status.
So when women have high powered and high paying jobs they are not going to suddenly get romantic about relationships. They are, as it says in this article, more likely to go lesbian to maintain status than find a man who cannot give them a higher status than they have on their own.

“Elections in Afghanistan kicked off this morning, with the government dispatching 72,000 security officers to protect voters amid threats from the Taliban movement.
According to Reuters, citing a local government official, three people were injured in a blast near a polling station in Kandahar mere hours after the start of presidential elections. In the meantime, AFP reported, citing a hospital official, that the explosion wounded 15 people.
As of now, no organisation has claimed responsibility for the attack.

Fortunately, he had the athleticism to make a dash for freedom, escaping the potentially murderous group. The other two white members of the group had their phones taken from them.
The victims were young, aged 17 to 22, and the one who had to run for his life is now too frightened to return to the academy.
“The kid who ran off said he’s scared to come now — they threatened to stab him,” explained Klemens.
The coach suggested that the forces of law and order have a weak to non-existent presence in Finsbury Park, located in a multicultural area best known for its links to radical Islam.
“I’ve been running that sports academy for 13 years and I’ve never seen police,” he said.
Curiously, the Islington Gazette provided no description of the suspects, despite the attack’s racially-charged overtones.”

While the park is incredibly close to one of Rome’s main tourist areas, it has been plagued for years by homelessness and criminality.

Valentina Salerno of the Citizens’ Committee of Colle Oppio expressed concern that such incidents could reoccur saying, “Many people are mentally ill from the psychiatric point of view, because of their difficult past, for the conditions they find here, and for how they are forced to live.”
The area is not the only part of Rome that has become a hub for illegal migrant criminal activity.
The city’s main railway station Termini is also known as a hotspot for illegal migrants, with a Moroccan man arrested in the area in April of this year for stabbing a homeless man because he was wearing a crucifix necklace.

JAKARTA (Reuters) – A former Indonesian Constitutional Court judge was jailed for eight years on Monday for accepting bribes to influence court rulings, the state news agency Antara reported. Patrialis Akbar, the second constitutional court judge to be convicted of corruption in three years, was also fined 300 million rupiah ($22,500). Akbar was accused of accepting $10,000 in bribes and causing losses to the state.
According to data from the KPK’s Anticorruption Clearing House (ACCH), at least 18 judges were prosecuted from 2010 to May 2018. One of the cases occurred in October 2017, when KPK investigators arrested Manado High Court Judge Sudiwardono. In June, Sudiwardono was sentenced to six years in prison for accepting bribes paid to influence an appellate bench handling a corruption case related to allowances for village officials (TPAPD) in Bolaang Mongondow, North Sulawesi.

NIGERIA – Kaduna Police Rescue 300 People From Muslim School

KADUNA, Nigeria (Reuters) – More than 300 boys and men, some as young as five and many in chains and bearing scars from beatings, have been rescued in a raid on a building that purported to be an Islamic school in northern Nigeria, police said on Friday.
Most of the freed captives seen by a Reuters reporter in the city of Kaduna were children, aged up to their late teens. Some shuffled with their ankles manacled and others were chained by their legs to large metal wheels to prevent escape.
One boy, held by the hand by a police officer as he walked unsteadily, had sores visible on his back that appeared consistent with injuries inflicted by a whip.
Some children had been brought from neighboring countries including Burkina Faso, Mali and Ghana, police said, while others had been left by their parents in what they believed to be an Islamic school or rehabilitation center.
“This place is neither a rehab or an Islamic school because you can see it for yourselves,” Kaduna state’s police commissioner, Ali Janga, told reporters. “The children gathered here are from all over the country… some of them were even chained. They were used, dehumanized, you can see it yourself.”
Kaduna police spokesman Yakubu Sabo said seven people who said they were teachers at the school had been arrested in Thursday’s raid.
“The state government is currently providing food to the children who are between the ages of five and above,” he said. It was not clear how long the captives had been held there.
RELATIVES SUSPICIOUS
Reports carried by local media said the captives had been tortured, starved and sexually abused. Reuters was not immediately able to confirm those details.
One young man, Hassan Yusuf, said he had been sent to the school because of concerns about his way of life following a few years studying abroad.
“They said my lifestyle has changed – I’ve become a Christian, I’ve left the Islamic way of life,” said Yusuf, who did not specify the nature of his relationship with the people who sent him to the center.
As news of the raid spread, some relatives gathered near the compound, where a sign over the gate, topped with rolls of barbed wire, read: “Imam Ahmad Bun Hambal Centre for Islamic studies”.
Hassan Mohammed, told Reuters he was the uncle of three of the freed children who had been sent to the school by their mother after their father died. He said he grew suspicious about what was going on after the family was denied access to them.
“I begged, they said no, we can’t see these children until three months. When we went back home… we said the only thing now is we should report this issue to the police station, that is exactly what we did,” said Mohammed.
The rescued children have been moved to a temporary camp at a stadium in Kaduna, and would later be moved to another camp in a suburb of the city while attempts were made to find their parents, police said.
SCHOOL SHUTDOWNS?
Islamic schools, known as Almajiris, are common across the mostly Muslim north of Nigeria – a country that is roughly evenly split between followers of Christianity and Islam.
Parents in northern Nigeria, the poorest part of a country in which most people live on less than $2 a day, often opt to leave their children to board at the schools.
Such schools have for years been dogged by allegations of abuse and accusations that some children have been forced to beg on the streets of cities in the north.
Earlier this year, the government of President Muhammadu Buhari, himself a Muslim, said it planned to eventually ban the schools, but would not do so immediately.
“Any necessary ban on Almajiri would follow due process and consultation with relevant authorities,” said Buhari’s spokesman Garba Shehu in a statement issued in June.
“The federal government wants a situation where every child of primary school age is in school rather than begging on the streets during school hours,” the statement said.
A presidency spokesman did not immediately respond to calls and text messages seeking comment on the raid in Kaduna and whether it would alter the government’s approach to such schools.
Professor Ishaq Akintola, director of the Nigerian human rights organization the Muslim Rights Concern (MURIC), said around 10 million children across the north of the country are educated at Islamic schools.
“Those responsible for abuse, if found guilty, should be held accountable but these schools should continue because shutting them down would deprive so many students of an education,” he said.
Akintola said Islamic schools needed funding to train teachers and improve the buildings.

Surprise as mothers of freed kids back Kaduna Islamic centre’s methods, torture
In a move that could be described as startling, some parents of the freed 300 male children allegedly chained, tortured and sexually assaulted at an Islamic school in Kaduna have protested against the police for putting their children in protective custody.
The protesters, mostly women and who openly backed the operators of the school and their methods, asked the police to release their children immediately.
They insisted the allegation by the police that the children were being sexually abused at the Islamic school was false.
Some of the mothers said there was nothing wrong with the Islamic school, wondering why the police decided to raid it.
The Kaduna State Command of the Police had on Thursday raided the Islamic school located in Rigasa, Igabi Local Government Area of the state, freeing 300 male children in the process.
The police said some of the victims were from Burkina Faso, Mali and other African countries, adding that the students confessed to have been abused homosexually.
Some other victims were said to have been subjected to daily recitation of the Holy Quran and prayers with torture.
“The man who is operating this home claimed that parents brought their children here for rehabilitation. But, from the look of things, this is not a rehabilitation centre. No reasonable parent will bring their children to this place,” the Kaduna State Commissioner of Police, Ali Janga, had said during the raid.
Some of the boys and men were said to have been held captive for years inside what could be described as a ‘building of horrors’, which was advertised as an Islamic school.
Some of the victims, as young as five years old, said they were tortured, sexually abused and starved and while being prevented from escaping.
Many of them had metal chains around their ankles and visible injuries.
One of those who were saved by the police alleged that some victims had died.
The police arrested seven teachers of the Islamic centre, including its proprietor, Mallam Ismaila Abubakar, who insisted all they did at the centre was the teaching of Islam.
“All those allegations of torture, dehumanisation and homosexuality are false and mere allegations. We do nothing here other than teaching people Islam,” he said.
However, on Friday, some mothers of the freed children protested against the police, saying they wanted their children reunited with them.
One of them, Maryam Fatika, whose four children attended the centre, said there was nothing wrong with the school, wondering why the police decided to raid it.
According to her, none of her children had ever complained of any form of maltreatment.
Fatika said, “We are aware that they (children) are being punished whenever they do wrong because they are dangerous and stubborn children.
“There is nothing wrong with the school because we took our children there by ourselves. So, we don’t know why the police raided the place.”
Another woman, who identified herself as Mama Jibril, said her son had spent six years at the centre.
According to her, there is nothing wrong with the centre.
She said she sent her son to the centre because “Jibril was becoming a threat to the family.”
She said, “We took him to the Islamiyya school for rehabilitation and to God be the glory, he has changed.
“I visited him and I have never seen anything wrong going on in the school.
“We don’t even know where they (police) took our children. We are appealing to the government and police to return our children to us and we are also okay with the way the children are being handled by the Islamiyya authorities.”
Shafa’atu Zakari, who said she had six children in the school, said the children were drug addicts and uncontrollable.
She said, “That’s why we took them to the school to acquire Quranic knowledge.
“We took the children to the school because we didn’t know what to do with them. Presently, four of my children are among the students taken away by the police.
“We demand their release because the founder of the school, Mallam Ismail, is doing everything possible within Islamic teachings to rehabilitate them for us.”
Some residents of the area where the centre is located also claimed some of the students were drug addicts.
Ahmed Balarabe, who lives close to the school, denied the children were being sexually abused.
He said, “I share a fence with the school and my two sons attended the school and they never told me anything about being sexually abused.
“Being a neighbour that always enters the school, if such thing was happening, I should have known.”

CCTV footage of the incident has been handed over to police
Police have launched an investigation after porn was dumped outside a Cardiff mosque in what is thought to be a targeted attack.
Officials at the Grangetown Muslim Cultural Centre (GMCC) were left shocked as they opened up the building last week and found several naked images of women left outside an entrance.
After checking CCTV footage centre secretary Tariq Awan said it was clear the photos had been “deliberately placed to cause offence”.
“We are very annoyed and extremely upset to receive this kind of this hate mail,” he added.
“Our newly-installed CCTV cameras captured the image of the offender which has been shared with the police.”
Thankfully the offensive material was binned just before children were due to arrive for a class.
However the incident has saddened and angered many in Grangetown – both Muslims and non Muslims – given the centre’s ties with the local community.
Local councillor Ashley Lister said: “The centre has done a lot of charitable and good work in Grangetown. For example, the children who attend there regularly take part in litter-picks and they also donate to local foodbanks. And they also donated money to several charities during Ramadan as well.
“Grangetown is a very diverse and cohesive community so I could not imagine that it would be someone locally who has done this.”
The incident was also been condemned by the Muslim Council of Wales. “It’s a serious matter. I hope the authorities take necessary action that these type of activities do not happen again,” a spokesman said. “Whatever action is taken against the individual it will act as a deterrent for other individuals.”
South Wales Police confirmed it was investigating the incident.
A force spokeswoman said: “On September 20 South Wales Police received a report of offensive images being left outside a mosque on Clydach Street, Grangetown, the previous day. Inquiries are on going to identify the person responsible.”

“The Houthis, also known as Ansar Allah, earlier in the day denied media reports that the Saudi-led coalition, which is fighting against the group in Yemen, had agreed to a ceasefire in several areas of the country, including the Houthi-controlled capital of Sanaa.
Yemen’s Houthi movement said in a statement that it had conducted an attack near the border with the southern Saudi region of Najran and captured several “army officers”, “thousands” of enemy troops and “hundreds of vehicles”.
“The Armed Forces of Yemen have announced a large-scale military operation near Najran. The enemy has suffered heavy losses in equipment and manpower. Thousands of enemy soldiers were captured, killed and hundreds wounded”, Houthi forces spokesman Gen. Yahya Saria said.
In particular, according to Saria, just 72 hours after the start of the operation, the Houthis managed to encircle “three military brigades of enemy forces”, which were completely defeated, resulting in hundreds of square kilometres being “liberated”. Saria stated that among the prisoners captured after the battle there are Saudi soldiers and officers, as well as many commanders and military personnel of other nationalities.
The Saudi Arabian authorities haven’t yet commented on the reports…”
Protester arrested after throwing egg at Trudeau
A commotion broke out during a climate change strike in Montreal after a man reportedly attempted to lob eggs at Liberal Party Leader Justin Trudeau.
As thousands marched down the street on Friday, Trudeau’s security detail pounced on a man in the Liberal leader’s vicinity.
In a video of the incident, the man is quickly pinned to the ground by two of Trudeau’s personnel.
Global News has confirmed that the man in had eggs in his hands. RCMP has since confirmed one man was arrested.

Austria: Vice Chancellor candidate takes aim at immigrants, Islam and Greta Thunberg
Norbert Hofer, the far-right Freedom Party (FPO) candidate to become Austria’s vice chancellor, promised to protect borders, took a stance against “political Islam” and criticised Swedish climate activist Greta Thunberg in the party’s final rally ahead of this weekend’s snap election, on Friday in Vienna.
“We need a law against political Islam, because for me, the culture of Islam is the biggest threat to our society,” Hofer said. “Islam is not part of our history, it is not a part of our culture and it will never be.”
Of Thunberg, he said, “I don’t need a high school student from northern Europe, to tell us how to live, my dears.”
Hofer hopes to replace fellow FPO politician Heinz-Christian Strache, who resigned as vice chancellor and backed away from politics after Austrian media published a video in which Strache, his parliamentary leader, Johann Gudenus, and an unidentified woman claiming to be the niece of a Russian oligarch discussed taking control of the country’s largest-circulation tabloid in order to help the FPO in future elections. The purported deal was allegedly made in exchange for public contracts.
The so-called “Ibiza” scandal caused the government, led by Sebastian Kurz, to collapse and triggered the snap elections to be held on Sunday.

At least three people, including a local party leader and a child, were killed in a bomb blast in the Pakistani province of Balochistan, near the border with Afghanistan, on Saturday, the Dawn newspaper reported, citing police.

Elena Bonetti, the new family minister, also expressed a desire to look at citizenship reform, saying that she thought it was a mistake not to approve a law on jus culturae— a law that would allow foreign minors under the age of 12 to acquire citizenship after five years of education.
Senator Roberto Calderoli, a member of Matteo Salvini’s League and vice president of the Italian Senate, slammed the proposal to give anyone born on Italian soil full citizenship, saying: “Attention! We have blocked this in the last legislature and we will block it even now.
