Germany: Enrolment celebration turned into a brawl – members of two hostile Turkish families fought at school+++
The children of the primary school Friedrich-Ebert-Grundschule on Weddinghofer Street in Kamen will probably not forget their enrolment so soon. At the end of the celebrations for 73 new schoolchildren and their relatives, according to first investigations today ( August 29) around 10.40 a.m. in the sports hall, several members of two families of Turkish origin who had been enemies for a long time committed dangerous bodily injuries.The background is supposed to have been the taking of photographs, which led to the fact that one attacked each other with objects found in the sports hall (slalom poles, gymnastic sticks, high bar fasteners). When the police arrived at the scene a little later, they could no longer detect any fisticuffs. A conversation with the heated minds did not lead to a clarification of the exact background of the dispute. A total of three people are said to have been injured. They were taken to hospitals. According to the current state of affairs, seven persons were involved. Criminal proceedings have been initiated for dangerous bodily harm.

“A former royal surgeon has denied “bullying” Muslim colleagues when they took time off for prayer, a tribunal hears. Professor Zygmunt Krukowski oversaw the medical care of the Royal family at Balmoral but was suspended from Aberdeen Royal Infirmary after a misconduct investigation was launched in 2015.
He has now launched an employment tribunal into his “unfair dismissal”, after he was cleared by the General Medical Council in July 2015.
Professor Krukowski, 70, was cross examined by Ian Truscott who asked if he had said: “Some patients were more important than some religions.”
But Krukowski claimed he said: “What’s more important? Patients or prayers?”
The solicitor said an NHS colleague had claimed Krukowski used the derogatory phrase “hairy-a***d Muslims” when talking to the then chief executive of the NHS trust.
But Professor Krukowski “strenuously denied” the claims. He said: “I have never used that phrase in my life.
“I would have been astonished that the chief executive of a national board would not take action immediately.
“I strenuously deny I would use that phrase and I would not be so stupid to use it at a chief executive.”
Another worker said he felt he was being “bullied, harassed and mobbed” after Prof Krukowski “raised his voice” at him.
Mr Truscott read from a diary entry that the surgeon was unable to go into theatre after being left “shaken”.
Krukowski said: “That is a falsehood. He was not scheduled for theatre.
“We worked and discussed it and I thought we had addressed the issue.
“He recognises that he misled me about the detail of the surgery and patient care was far below what should be accepted.”
He added: “I lost my temper with him and I was embarrassed and mortified. I have subsequently apologised.”

NYPD: Teens Attack 67-Year-Old Woman With Her Own Cane in Queens
Police are looking for a group of teens who robbed and brutally attacked a 67-year-old woman with her own cane in Queens earlier this month, authorities say.
The violent, yet seemingly random, attack happened Aug. 4 in Jamaica and included the group hurling insults, profanities and even laughing at the woman – all after the group and the woman locked eyes, law enforcement sources say.
Surveillance video shows the woman struggling to hold onto her cane on 169th Street as a group of teenagers apparently tries to steal it. The group then appears to push the woman down during the attack, and while she was dazed and on her knees, not only did they steal her Samsung cellphone, but proceeded to hit her with her own cane, according to authorities.
The NYPD says the attack appears to be the work of teenagers, possibly two males and two females.

Hong Kong Police Warn of More Arrests After Sweep of Activists
(Bloomberg) — Hong Kong police arrested prominent opposition figures including Joshua Wong — and warned other protesters could share their fate at illegal demonstrations this weekend — raising tensions as authorities seek to quell pro-democracy demonstrations that have raged for almost three months.
The 22-year-old Wong, who was scheduled to speak about the protests in the U.S. next month, was among well-known pro-democracy activists arrested by police on Thursday and Friday. Chun Han Wong, a Singapore national, had been based in Beijing, where he had reported on politics in China since 2014. His visa expired on Friday.
“We can confirm that Chinese authorities have declined to renew Chun Han’s press credentials,” a Dow Jones spokesman said in an email. “We continue to look into the matter.”
The Foreign Ministry, which accredits foreign reporters, did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

Confusion as Turkey says Iranian tanker now headed to Lebanon
OSLO/BEIRUT (Reuters) – Turkey said on Friday that an Iranian tanker at the center of a confrontation between Washington and Tehran was headed to Lebanon after changing course several times, although Beirut said it was not informed of the plan.
According to Refinitiv tracking data, the Adrian Darya, formerly called Grace 1, made a U-turn on Friday and headed for Turkey’s Iskenderun port – 200 km (124 miles) north of Syria’s Baniyas refinery, the tanker’s suspected original destination.

However, Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu said the tanker, which was carrying 2 million barrels of oil when released at Gibraltar, was headed to “the main port in Lebanon.”
On the sidelines of a forum in Oslo, Cavusoglu told Reuters that Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan spoke of the ship’s coordinates with British Prime Minister Boris Johnson on Thursday. “We are monitoring (the tanker) very closely,” he added.

“Of the top ten worst offenders in Barcelona over the summer, an Algerian illegal migrant topped the list with 14 arrests over a period of just 11 weeks.
Police say the 18-year-old Algerian was arrested eight separate times for theft and six times for acts of violence and intimidation and was part of a group of underage migrants who arrived in the city last year, Spanish newspaper La Vanguardia reports.
Despite being arrested 14 times, the teen remains free in the city until his next potential arrest and is just one of the 90 percent of cases for robbery, violence and intimidation this year in Barcelona where judges have decided not to hand down prison sentences, despite requests from prosecutors.
The second most prolific offender, arrested eleven times for various crimes including violence and drug trafficking, is also a migrant, a 28-year-old born in Morocco.

Anti-Islamist Geert Wilders claims minister colluded with prosecutors in hate speech case

Former Justice Minsiter Ivo Opstelten and the Public Prosecution Service discussed the prosecution of PVV leader Geert Wilders for hate speech even before the Public Prosecution Service had made the decision to prosecute the nationalist politician, RTL Nieuws report based on a secret official document it received from the Ministry of Justice and Security. Wilders is furious and demands that the case against him be dropped
The document, dated 16 September 2014, speaks of an “intended decision” on the Wilders hate speech case, and therefore not a definite, final decision. That is important, because the Public Prosecution Service always said that the decision to prosecute Wilders was made on September 10th.
According to RTL, this shows that the Minister and Public Prosecution Service discussed the Wilders case before the decision was made to prosecute him. What was said during this discussions, and whether the Minister actually pressured or influenced the Prosecutor in any way, is not shown in the document. According to the broadcaster, the Ministry also had press releases from the Public Prosecutor adjusted, so that they made a better political impression.
Wilders is furious. “The ministry officials have also been involved in press releases from the Public Prosecution Service, which were then adjusted”, Wilders said to NOS. He too believes there was a political motive. “You see this in Cuba and North Korea. That a leader of a political opponent ins eliminated.” He thinks that Ministry officials substantively influenced the Prosecutor and believes that he has been lied to. “On Tuesday, when the trial continues, this lawsuit must be stopped immediately.”
The Public Prosecution Service was not available to comment to NU.nl on Friday. To RTL a Prosecution spokesperson said that they cannot comment on the still ongoing case.
Coalition party D66 is flabbergasted that the former Minister discussed the Wilders case with the Prosecutor before the prosecution decision as made. MP Maarten Groothuizen told Dagblad van het Noorden that it is high time that Justice Minister Ferdinand Grapperhaus “puts things right after the chaos the VVD caused”.
“A minister who interferes in a criminal case against a politician is serious”, SP leader Lilian Marijnissen said on Twitter. “Why has Minister Grapperhaus not been honest about this.”
PvdA parliamentarian Attje Kuiken posted parliamentary questions, asking Grapperhaus to clarify exactly what was discussed between the Ministry and the Public Prosecution Service before the decision was made to prosecute Wilders.
Wilders is on trial for statements he made about Moroccans while campaigning in The Hague on 2014. He asked a cafe full of people whether they want “more or fewer Moroccans in this city and the Netherlands”. The audience responded by chanting “fewer, fewer, fewer”. And Wilders said: “Well, the we will arrange that.” He also said that The Hague should be a city with fewer problems and, if possible, fewer Moroccans.
On December 9th, 2016, Wilders was found guilty of insulting a group of people and inciting discrimination. “Partly in view of the inflammatory nature and manner of these statements, others were hereby incited to discriminate against persons of Moroccan origin”, the court ruled. The court did not give him any form of punishment, saying that the verdict is punishment enough. The Public Prosecutor demanded a 5 thousand euro fine. Both Wilders and the Prosecutor appealed.
That appeal is currently ongoing. The Public Prosecution Service again demanded a 5 thousand euros fine against Wilders.

The 3rd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals just ruled that a group of atheists demanding the right to deliver the invocation at the opening of legislative sessions in the Pennsylvania House are S.O.L. — simply out of luck — and they’ll have to take their secularist so-called prayers elsewhere.
Finally. A court with courage to uphold the common sense aspect of the Constitution.
Law and order can’t last in a land with people who aren’t lawful and orderly in their thinking, you see.
“The Supreme Court has long taken as [a] given that prayer presumes invoking a higher power,” wrote Judge Thomas Ambro, in the 2-1 majority decision against the petition brought by the Freedom From Religion Foundation.
That’s because it is a “given.”
It’s only been in recent years that atheist groups like the FFRF have been emboldened to tip and tap at the “givens” of the world and flip what’s common sense for what’s contrary to logic — contrary to the point of creating chaos. That these groups only try to disguise their atheism by referring to themselves as free thinking, or humanist, or the like, only underscores the chaos they’re trying to create within America’s constitutional system — within an America that was founded on Judeo-Christian principles, rooted firmly in the idea that individual rights come from God, not government. And what’s their end goal?
To rip all evidence of God from the public square.
To usher in a country that’s completely secular.

On December 2016, fresh off her defeat, Hillary Clinton warned of the “malicious threat of fake news and false propaganda that flooded social media over the past year.”
Fake news was loosely defined. And without definition, it simply meant speech. The threat was that people had said things on Facebook that others disagreed with. The solution was censorship.
Fake news was a “danger that must be addressed and addressed quickly,” Clinton demanded, urging the private and public sector to “protect our democracy and innocent lives.
Before the villain of the 2016 election had become the Russian boogeyman, it was free speech.
“Many of us are beginning to talk about what a big problem this is, both from the campaign and from the administration, and just sort of broader Obama orbit,” Teddy Goff, the Clinton campaign’s chief digital strategist, said. “This is something we were very aware of, saw zero percent chance Facebook was going to be compliant or work with us during the election, but wanted to take on post-election.”
“We will hold social media platforms accountable for the hate infiltrating their platforms, because they have a responsibility to help fight against this threat to our democracy,” Senator Kamala Harris vowed on the 2020 campaign trail. “If you act as a megaphone for misinformation or cyber warfare, if you don’t police your platforms, we are going to hold you accountable.”
Senator Harris was criminalizing speech by treating disagreement as a national security issue while threatening companies that wouldn’t censor views and ideas that the Democrat disagreed with.
Once Twitter, Facebook, and Google agreed to censor content in response to political pressure, they were no longer acting as private businesses policing their platforms, but as government agents.

The huge flow of illegal migrants into the United States was lubricated by a 2014 Bureau of Immigration decision which claimed that Guatemalan women experiencing domestic violence “can constitute a cognizable particular social group that forms the basis of a claim for asylum.”
That decision was clearly legally wrong and the opposite of how asylum is supposed to work.
And that allowed many illegal migrants to show up and claim asylum because domestic violence is ubiquitous around the world. And, in many countries, documentation doesn’t even exist. That makes it impossible to know whether the asylum claims are even based on anything at all.
In a PAHO survey, 1 in 5 Guatemalan women reported experiencing domestic violence. That’s over 1 million women (and their children and families) from just one country eligible for asylum in America.
Attorney General Sessions reversed the BIA decision, pointing out that domestic violence isn’t government persecution. And that “vulnerability to private criminal activity” isn’t a basis for asylum. The usual judicial suspects began running interference leading to an extended political battle. And they haven’t given up because the domestic violence loophole is the perfect open borders magnet.
The World Health Organization estimates that 1 in 4 women in the Western Pacific region, 1 in 3 women in the South-East Asia region, and 1 in 3 women in the Eastern Mediterranean region suffer from domestic violence. The Eastern Mediterranean region alone holds 538 million people.

Democratic Party embraces nonreligious voters, criticizes ‘religious liberty’ in new resolution
The Democratic National Committee (DNC) passed a resolution Saturday praising the values of “religiously unaffiliated” Americans as the “largest religious group within the Democratic Party.”
The resolution, which was unanimously passed at the DNC’s summer meeting on Aug. 24 in San Francisco, Calif., was championed by the Secular Coalition of America, an organization that lobbies on behalf of atheists, agnostics, and humanists on public policy. The 28 year old political leader of the third largest county in America, a woman with no political or legal experience of any kind, has a plan to help us stop flooding during our next tropical storm or hurricane.
In the past Hidalgo attempted to introduce an “Equity based” flood prevention plan. This essentially meant resources for flood prevention would be given to people in low income neighborhoods, not people in the neighborhoods that are most prone to flooding. The plan was extremely unpopular.

A number of Canadian Muslims have been turned away at the Canada-U.S. border in recent weeks, immigration lawyers say.
Those denied entry include a prominent Guyana-born Toronto imam who serves as a chaplain with the Peel Regional Police and an Iraqi Turkmen community leader who has family members fighting ISIS in the Middle East.
The two men — who were denied entry at different border crossings and were not travelling together — are among at least six Canadian Muslim men who have been denied entry at the U.S. border over the last two weeks.
The men and their families, all of whom are Canadian citizens, were given little in the way of explanation by border officials for the decision to deem them inadmissible.

Just crossed over last week myself (by train) and saw the pains that the US border patrol was going to to vet people. A whole (perhaps Canadian) family was told to queue up to be interviewed because they said they did not have US currency and were planning to enter the US.
Entering Canada, and the Canadians were not grilling Americans, but boy were they grilling the Canadians: Who were you visiting in the US? How did you meet this person?
No one is being singled out — everyone is under question. It’s possible that how someone answers — and not what they answer–is the subject of scrutiny.
