This document was written around the time this site was created, for those who wish to understand what this site is about. And while our understanding of the world and events has grown since then, the basic ideas remain sound and true to the purpose.

THE DAY YOUTUBE BANNED (AND RESTORED) MY CHANNEL
Another day, another battle. I do little more than fight antisemitism and false history and yet in the last six months I have had two attempts to silence me. The first was a denial of service attack on my website. Given the content of the threats that preceded the actual attack, there was little doubt that it was an antisemitic pro-Corbyn activist. Yesterday was different, yesterday it was the turn of mega-giant YouTube. Effectively YouTube accused me of ‘hate speech’… but a history book about Hitler isn’t the same as a neo-Nazi book, even if material from one is contained as examples in the other. Generally speaking, those trying to avoid capture, frequently change names and locations in order to continue doing whatever they are doing for as long as they can. That does not seem neccessary on YouTube. There are channels who have been openly peddling hate for a decade. YouTube may talk about fighting Holocaust denial and Jew-hatred but it still seems as if only antisemitism campaigners and historians really have to be concerned by the new crackdown. David Collier

The US Supreme Court vacated the Washington court’s 2017 decision last June and sent the case back to the court for further consideration in light of the court’s 7-2 ruling in favor of Colorado Christian baker Jack Phillips. The Supreme Court asked the Washington high court to consider whether or not there was any animus against the florist’s religious beliefs when the lower courts ruled against Stutzman previously. The court found in Phillips’ case that the Colorado government did display religious hostility to the baker’s Christians beliefs on marriage and sexuality. D-DAY… MORE DRAMA THAN DECISIVE IN WORLD WAR II VICTORY
Dramatizing D-Day as an event is also crucial for the discrediting and demonizing of Russia, as it was previously with regard to the Soviet Union. Wouldn’t it have been appropriate to invite Russian leader Vladimir Putin to the D-Day events this week in order to pay respect to the colossal sacrifices of the Soviet people in defeating Nazi Germany? The US and its transatlantic allies are necessarily reviving the Cold War in a bid to cut Russia out of their global power ambitions. The Western propaganda war has involved every means to smear and criminalize Russia as a “malign actor” or a “rogue authoritarian regime”. Contemporary Western vilification, typically on flimsy grounds lacking proof, has tried to isolate and undermine Moscow over allegations of Crimea annexation, invasion of Ukraine, shooting down a Malaysian airliner, supporting a “butcher-dictator” in Syria, the alleged assassination of journalists and lawyers as promulgated by the US Magnitsky Act, poisoning of double-agent Sergei Skripal and his daughter in an English park, doping of Olympic athletes, meddling in Western elections, subverting the European Union and NATO, and so on and on. It is simply not feasible to push this maelstrom of propaganda narratives without also re-writing the history of the Second World War. The actual heroic role of the Soviet Union in decisively defeating Nazi fascism in Europe must, by necessity, be buried under the dramatized account of how Western allies purportedly “won the war”. Stealing the laurels of victory was a necessary act of treachery by the Western powers in order to facilitate their dreadful Cold War against the Soviet Union. Facebook bosses have lost control of the social network and is unlikely to regain it, a former Harvard classmate of Mark Zuckerberg has claimed. The Greek Ambassador handed over a confidential note verbale to the competent authorities in Berlin, confirmed the German foreign ministry, yesterday. According to a Greek parliamentary commission, the reparations debt amounts to €288 billion, at current value. The German government categorically rejects payments. RUSSIA TO WEST: D-DAY WASN’T DECISIVE IN ENDING WORLD WAR TWO

“The video-sharing website announced on Wednesday that it would block content that promotes Nazi ideology and denies the reality of the Holocaust from its service.
YouTube has banned some British history teachers from its service for uploading archive footage of Adolf Hitler on their educational channels, as they were allegedly in violation of new guidelines prohibiting the promotion of hate speech, The Guardian reported.
As the Google-owned video-hosting platform announced earlier this week that it would not allow content glorifying the Nazis to be uploaded, it has also removed material aimed at educating future generations about the dangers of fascism.
“It’s absolutely vital that YouTube work to undo the damage caused by their indiscriminate implementation as soon as possible. Access to important material is being denied wholesale as many other channels are left branded as promoting hate when they do nothing of the sort”, Scott Allsop, who had his historical channel deleted, was cited by The Guardian as saying.
YouTube sent Allsop an automated email to explain that his channel had been removed for posting “content that promotes hatred or violence against members of a protected group”.
His material, however, is said to have only included old BBC documentaries, a short clip of Joseph Goebbels talking about propaganda, and a cine film of Hitler’s speech the night he was appointed chancellor.
Even though his account was reinstated on Thursday after an appeal, he told the media outlet that he had been reached by other colleagues whose materials or channels had fallen under YouTube’s new restrictions.
“I fully support YouTube’s increased efforts to curb hate speech, but also feel that silencing the very people who seek to teach about its dangers could be counter-productive to YouTube’s intended goal”, he said.
The Guardian then mentioned Richard Jones-Nerzic, another teacher affected by the clampdown, who claimed that he had been censored for uploading videos from old documentaries about the rise of Nazism.
Some of the content he has shared with his viewers now comes with a disclaimer that users may find it offensive, while other has been deleted.
Jones-Nerzic has appealed against YouTube’s removal of archive Nazi footage, insisting that the move was in essence a “form of negationism or even Holocaust denial”, per The Guardian.
Meanwhile, a YouTube spokesperson said that the website had used a combination of technology and people to implement the guidelines and called on users to provide context for videos uploaded for educational purposes.

On 5 June, YouTube announced a new step in its hate speech policy to block thousands of videos “alleging that a group is superior in order to justify discrimination, segregation or exclusion based on qualities like age, gender, race, caste, religion, sexual orientation or veteran status”.
The video-hosting service added that it is its “responsibility to protect that, and prevent our platform from being used to incite hatred, harassment, discrimination and violence”.”

“Muslim prison gangs are forcing inmates to convert to Islam and follow religious practices or face violent repercussions, according to a government report.
The report, carried out by the Ministry of Justice, surveyed 83 male prisoners and 73 staff at three of the eight high-security prisons in the country. It found that large gangs of Muslim men were using intimidation tactics to force conversions and rules on other prisoners. The gangs were made up of multiple ranks including leadership, foot soldiers, recruiters, and enforcers.
Those who had committed terrorist activities were said to hold key positions of influence among the gangs, as well as those who can speak Arabic and recite the Quran.
It was said that the gangs were establishing Islamic rules within the prisons such as underwear having to be worn in the showers and banning the cooking of bacon.
The report highlighted the fact that Muslim gangs were the only serious organised gang threat within the prisons surveyed and that as a result, they wielded considerable influence and power over their fellow inmates.
One non-Muslim prisoner said: “There is an underlying pressure for people to convert and join the gang. The tactic they use is to befriend someone when they come in. If they don’t convert they will then start spreading rumours about them, that the person is a snitch so that they will be ostracised. Then the beatings will follow.”
Meanwhile, a Muslim prisoner spoke of the pressure on other inmates to convert, saying that they could not even escape by moving prisons. “They know they’re only going to three other jails and they know there will be brothers waiting there to stab them,” the prisoner said.
The study echoes a report from The Sun from 2016 which alleged that at one prison, HMP Gartree in Leicestershire, Muslim prisoners had turned sections of the prison into ‘no-go zones’ for non-Muslim inmates, even imposing sharia law.
One source said at the time: “It is so bad non-Muslim prisoners are refusing to move there as they feel intimidated. There is huge pressure put on them to convert and a threat of violence if they don’t. The Muslim gangs have their own rules and use Sharia law to sort out disagreements. In effect, they are setting up their own prison within a prison. There have been stories about non-Muslim inmates being barred from putting up topless pictures of women in their cells and even showering naked.”
In 2018, the Ministry of Justice reportedly blocked an independent three-year report from being carried out into the impact of Islamic gangs in UK prisons because of fears of the results. One source said: “The corporate culture of the service is defensive and they will have been concerned about what this proposed project will discover.”
Last year, a Christian pastor who worked as a prison chaplain also claimed that prisoners were being coerced into converting to Islam in exchange for protection from gangs. Pastor Paul Song said of the culture in Brixton prison: “If someone is secular and in prison and they want to lead a peaceful life in prison they need to become Muslim. That way they are protected.””

Russian destroyer egregiously violates Incidents at Sea agreement in USN encounter

The U.S. Navy reported that on 7 June, a Russian warship caused a near collision with USS Chancellorsville (CG-62), an Aegis, Ticonderoga-class cruiser, in the Philippine Sea. The Russian Udaloy I DDG, a guided-missile destroyer, maneuvered within 100 feet of the Chancellorsville, causing the cruiser to have to execute a non-routine, propulsion-stressing backing move to avoid colliding with the destroyer.
The information about the event indicates that the Russian ship directly violated the terms of the 1972 Incidents at Sea (INCSEA) agreement between Russia (then the Soviet Union) and the U.S. The INCSEA agreement was intended to prevent exactly this kind of extremely dangerous and unprofessional encounter on the high seas.
The text of the INCSEA agreement can be viewed here. Both parties continued to honor the agreement after the breakup of the former Soviet Union. There is an annual conference between the U.S. and Russia on the status of INCSEA; the last one was held in July 2018 in Moscow.
Video of the encounter recorded on the Chancellorsville shows the near approach of the Russian Udaloy I, with a separation estimated at 60-70 feet based on what is visible in the video. According to CNN, “opposing” reports from the two navies indicate the “warships came somewhere between 50 feet and 165 feet of each other.” The Chancellorsville video makes it abundantly clear even to the amateur that 165 feet is not the distance at which the two ships made CPA (closest point of approach). Fifty feet is much closer to reality.

The once prestigious Lancet medical journal has continued its ideological rampage, slamming Italy’s democratically elected government for allegedly abetting “racism” and “xenophobia.”
“Italy has been witnessing a rapid escalation towards racism and xenophobia since the new government came into power in June, 2018.” So begins an article titled “Immigration in Italy: the medical community’s role in human rights” in the Lancet’s June 8 issue, which, as readers will immediately deduce, has little to do with the “medical community.”
The U.K.-based Lancet, founded in 1823 as a medical journal, has morphed into a mouthpiece of what it calls “the progressive agenda,” squandering its hard-earned moral and scientific capital on issues such as climate change, immigration, and gay rights. As Breitbart News reported last week, the Lancet recently ran a five-part series of articles on “gender equality, norms, and health” that denounced a conservative “backlash” against the global LGBTQ agenda.
“The progressive agenda that demands gender equality for girls and women and gender norms that promote health and wellbeing for all, including gender minorities,” a team of Lancet writers wrote, includes “advocating against toxic masculinities” and “promoting lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQ) justice.”
This project is menaced by conservatives who often oppose gay rights under the guise of religious liberty and traditional values, the writers declared.
“Co-opting the term gender, powerful forces are pushing against hard-fought gains in human rights and health by rallying against the so-called threat of gender ideology, a term created to indict a range of progressive views, such as LGBTQ rights, access to comprehensive sexuality education, and accommodation of diverse family forms,” the journal lamented.
In its most recent attack on populism, the Lancet states that Italy’s Decree on Immigration and Security includes measures that “fundamentally undermine international human rights principles.” Moreover, Deputy Prime Minister Matteo Salvini “declared that Italy would not sign the UN Global Compact for Safe, Orderly and Regular Migration or take part in an intergovernmental conference in Marrakech, Morocco,” the Lancet notes disapprovingly.
The United Nations has condemned these “alarming hatred measures,” the article continues, and published “an appeal to the Italian Government to reconsider the legislative changes and prevent violation of international human rights law.”
Scrambling to find a link between this overtly political message and the “medical community,” the article suggests that the Decree on Immigration and Security “has serious implications for the right to health, both regarding access to the national health-care system and the social conditions that contribute to the physical and mental health of immigrants.”
“In a time of growing intolerance and racial discrimination worldwide, and of nationalistic attitudes towards integration, European physicians and health-care providers must join forces in counteracting these views,” the Lancet states.
Protecting immigrant populations from “undeserved human rights violations,” the article concludes, “is not only an ethical and moral duty, but also a deontological obligation of medical doctors.”

After President Trump played hardball with Mexico, forcing the U.S. neighbor to crack down on the flow of foreigners to the U.S. border, Democrats bashed the president.
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) released a statement Saturday morning saying Trump had “undermined America’s preeminent leadership role in the world” by threatening to impose tariffs on Mexico if it didn’t control the flow of foreigners.
“We are deeply disappointed by the Administration’s expansion of its failed Remain-in-Mexico policy, which violates the rights of asylum seekers under U.S. law and fails to address the root causes of Central American migration,” Pelosi said. “Threats and temper tantrums are no way to negotiate foreign policy.” The Remain-in-Mexico policy that Trump expanded calls for foreigners to be held there, rather than tyhe U.S., as they await asylum hearings.
Meanwhile, Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) said that since Trump has supposedly solved the problem, he no longer has to keep talking about illegal immigration.

Germany’s probe into the death of a regional politician has resulted in an arrest, claims the Frankfurter Allgemeine newspaper. Walter Lübcke was shot dead on the terrace of his home near Kassel last weekend.
The Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung (FAZ) said police had on Saturday extensively interviewed the suspect, a “younger man,” who, it said, had “admitted” to have been in a “private relationship” with the conservative politician.

Rep. Ilhan Omar plans to join a black-Jewish congressional caucus that formed this week.
The first-term Minnesota Democrat has taken heat in the past for controversial comments about Israel as well as comments that trivialized the 9/11 terror attacks.
But she endorsed the caucus in a tweet when it was announced Monday.
“Glad to see colleagues follow through in working on the things that unite us and not divide us,” said Omar, who is Muslim.
The bipartisan caucus was announced after a meeting at the American Jewish Committee Global forum. It includes founding members Democrats Debbie Wasserman Schultz and Brenda Lawrence as well as Republican Lee Zeldin, Omar’s Twitter rival.
