Most notably, Islam and its effects on Classical Civilization, and various forms of leftism from Soviet era communism, to postmodernism and all the flavours of galloping statism and totalitarianism such as Nazism and Fascism which are increasingly snuffing out the classical liberalism which created our near, miraculous civilization the West has been building since the time of Socrates.

This document was written around the time this site was created, for those who wish to understand what this site is about. And while our understanding of the world and events has grown since then, the basic ideas remain sound and true to the purpose.

So please post all links, thoughts and ideas that you feel will benefit the readers of this site to the comments under this post each day. And thank you all for your contributions.

This is the new Samizdat. We must use it while we can.

  1. GRAVE CONCERNS: ASSANGE CAN BARELY TALK – MOVED TO PRISON HOSPITAL
    Sweden has rejected Samuelson’s motion to delay Assange’s extradition hearing, though he was never charged with anything. Swedish investigators never interviewed Assange about claims of “sexual assault” that seem to have been trumped-up as a pretext to extradite him to the US in 2012, and prompted him to seek asylum in Ecuador. The preliminary hearing on Washington’s extradition request is still scheduled for Thursday, May 30 TODAY.

    • Anything or anybody Uncle Vlad supports or opposes with marked intensity is automatically suspect. It may turn out in my/our interest, but it’s got an unsavory edge to it. (No matter what, rest assured, he’s playing both sides edges. Honed edges.)

      Assange gets more promotion from Uncle Vlad’s many vehicles than anybody short of Syria’s dictator. Right up there with Russian anti-EU propaganda (I gratefully acknowledge Uncle Vlad’s help on that one. I get his motives, but I don’t much care at this point.)

      But why Assange?
      Because he can prove the DNC computers weren’t “hacked”? Because he’s a freedom of the press martyr? This cause is so righteous to the Tsar?

  2. TELL US WHAT DO YOU WANT
    …why there has been so much soul-searching amongst MPs with regard to the terms on which we leave, or even whether we should ever leave! It is not in their gift to leave or remain – this decision has already been made, and despite hand-wringing and hair-tearing by various Westminster windbags, they have been elected to carry out the wishes of the voting public – something they would do well to remember when it comes to the next election. The success of the Brexit Party has given us another weapon in the fight against the EU: Brussels now has until 23rd June to come to an acceptable agreement with the new UK Prime Minister. If they have not done so by this date, the UK Brexit MEPs and similar-minded MEPs from other countries will take up their seats in Strasbourg – and the process of destroying the EU from within can begin. Basically Brussels is faced with a choice: let us go on our terms before the 23rd, or face chaos and disruption on a scale previously unimaginable. Over to you. Dr Jonathan Swift

  3. OPINION: SECULARISATION, INDIVIDUALISM AND #INDYREF2
    The cause of this is, of course, the dis-establishment of the church. It used to be that we believed, as a society, that there were ultimate moral goods and an objective path to individual flourishing that was inextricably linked to external and the eternal. The culture (with individual deviance, of course), believed that the ultimate goal of human life was not ultimately personal happiness or fulfilment, but doing good. With the advent of increased secularism, this sense of moral duty has become anathematised, our society has become built around introspection and self-realisation at the expense of all higher purpose. As, if there is no transcendent lawmaker, there is no transcendent law to be obeyed. With the calls for a second independence referendum, self-centredness has flourished. Most people who voted for Brexit, I believe, did so for a higher moral purpose: self-determination, democracy and the concept of freedom. The ‘People’s Vote’ crowd are not the same. Secularism and selfishness as wound its way into their affections and blinded them their duty to their country and to those around them…now is the time to fight to uphold the great principles of freedom and democracy upon which our country is built and to reject the self-individualism of modernity and #indyref2.   4. HOUSE OF LORDS: FIRST DO NO HARM – THE ETHICS OF TRANSGENDER HEALTHCARE
    Given the seriousness of the issue and the fact that it concerns children, you would expect this important event to have been well-attended by members of every political party. In fact only one Member of Parliament, David Davies MP, and one Member of the Lords, Dame Tanni Grey Thompson, came along. We are very grateful to them both for their attendance. The targeting of children by activists has had stark results. In 2009/10 there were 56 referrals of boys and 40 referrals of girls to the Tavistock clinic. In 2017/18 there were 713 boys and 1,806girls. This represents a 1,173% increase in referrals of boys, or over 11 times, and a 4,415% increase in referrals of girls, or over 40 times. The male/female ratio reversal has happened worldwide and the group inflating these unprecedented referral figures is teenage girls. It is time to stop using children as test subjects for gender identity and queer theory. Serious concerns have recently been raised by clinicians in the UK, Denmark and Sweden. Let the UK take the lead in recognising the status of childhood, in protecting children from ideology masquerading as fact, and in stopping this medical experiment on children’s bodies and psychological experiment on children’s minds.     BERLIN(Own report) – With a Latin America-Caribbean Conference, the German Foreign Ministry is launching a new political offensive in the struggle for influence in Latin America. Germany and the EU’s influence on the subcontinent has been stagnating, while China’s importance is growing. The government hopes to counteract this development by helping German companies to increase their opportunities in Latin America – and this at a time when massive protest is being raised against German companies’ activities, for example, in Brazil.   22. NR: For those that have followed all of my contributions at VTB about AI (Artificial Intelligence), the following clip deals with the absolute most advanced computing in human history. Please keep this critical fact in mind while reading this.

    As the video notes, quantum computing allows for the near-instantaneous examination of matter in multiple states. What the video neglects to note is how, in the early 1840s, while translating writings by Italian military engineer (and later prime minister of Italy), Luigi Menabrea, Lord Byron’s only daughter, Lady Ada Lovelace, reached the conclusion that ordinary numerical variables used in computing could also represent other objects or physical dimensions.

    ‘Why a number and not a color, a letter of the alphabet or a musical tone?’, she asked. Thereby predicting computer graphics, word processing, and digital music synthesis over one hundred years before the first electronic computer was invented!.

    All from the mind of a woman who defied societal norms and became a trained mathematician back when barefoot and pregnant women were still chained to their hot stoves.

    So, despite their indeterminate or superpositional properties, why can’t qubits (pronounced “cue – bits” – as quantum computing bits are known) also represent these sorts of mundane objects? Why not indeed.

    What if qubits represented letters of the alphabet? Mightn’t it be possible to decipher even the most complex encryption algorithms known? In the quantum computer’s sleep.

    What if qubits represented numerical values? Could quantum computers deduce a dial lock’s combination one second after that mechanical device was invented? Before the devil could get his shoes on.

    What if emitters could be devised that reliably and simultaneously produced pairs of individual photons that, in their entangled quantum state of origin, could be separated by LIGHT YEARS IN DISTANCE, yet react instantaneously in order to correspond to its entangled twin’s quantum state (as has already been demonstrated in repeatable, REPRODUCIBLE controlled experiments)?

    Might this enable a quantum computer with superpositional circuitry to encode changing binary bit values upon these individually entangled photons as part of transmitting data instantaneously across light years of space with completely unbreakable encryption that NOT EVEN ANOTHER QUANTUM COMPUTER COULD DECIPHER?

    In the past, it has always been my pleasure to spend hours detailing in layman’s terms the methods, processes, uses, and downstream practical applications of these bleeding-edge technologies. Recent events have led me to conclude that, if this evening is like others of late, my time is far better spent getting ready to read the nightly torrent of unannotated posts by Coran Deo (with their impeccably prim wording), so that I can better refine this hopelessly coarse scribbling of mine.

  23. UK ACADEMIC DR MAARUF ALI SACKED FOR ANTISEMITISM

    University of Essex academic dismissed after speaking out against setting up Jewish society
    Dr Maaruf Ali also shared material promoting antisemitic conspiracy theories and questioning the Holocaust on Facebook

    The University of Essex has dismissed an academic who spoke out against a campus Jewish society and shared material questioning the Holocaust.
    Dr Maaruf Ali, a lecturer in computers and electronics, wrote that “the Zionists next want to create a society here at our university” on a Facebook page for new students, as voting was underway on whether a Jsoc should be founded.
    The voting prompted a public outcry when it merged more than 200 students, 36 per cent of those who cast ballots, voted no. The student union cancelled the vote and pledged the immediate creation of a Jsoc on campus.
    At the time, the Union of Jewish Students (UJS) called for an investigation into Dr Ali and the university confirmed an investigation would take place.
    As well as opposing the Jsoc, Dr Ali shared a photo on Facebook which claimed that a French police officer killed in the January 2015 Charlie Hebdo attack was actually “a Mossad agent live and well in Buenos Aires… a crypto-Jew in the service of Israeli intelligence”.
    Dr Ali posted to Facebook a quotation attributed to Edgar J Steele, a lawyer notorious for defending white supremacists and for writing a book titled Defensive Racism: An Unapologetic Examination of Racial Differences.
    The quote reads: “In all of German Occupied Europe, there resided 2.4 million Jews before the war, according to the world Jewish encyclopedia.
    “After the war, 3.8 million Jewish ‘Holocaust survivors’ were receiving pensions from the German government… Tragically, the remaining 6 million were lost.”
    In a statement, the university told the JC its investigation “into the serious allegations made against a member of staff” was completed.
    “Following a tribunal hearing which considered all the evidence the member of staff has been dismissed,” a spokesperson said.
    UJS campaigns organiser Daniel Kosky called the decision “wholly correct”.
    “Those in positions of responsibility and influence must be held accountable for the environment that they create in lecture halls,” he said.
    “We welcome this positive step in creating an inclusive campus environment, and we hope to see the University of Essex continue this work into the future.”

      If Dr Maaruf Ali is “a lecturer in computers and electronics”, then how come this high tech Nimrod managed to leave out the juiciest bits? Any speaker worth his Clinton Foundation honorarium knows that audiences simply lap up salacious little butt muffins like, ‘using the blood of sacrificed Christian babies to make Passover matzoh’—along with well poisoning, host desecration, plus so many other intriguing and historically proven events—that this glaring omission totally calls into question whether his curriculum is sufficiently Islamic at all.

    • Note that those are all the Dem Controlled Cities or States, part of the problem is that the Dems have raised the taxes in those areas to the extent that the people who can afford to are moving to locations where they get to keep more of the money they earn. The tax payers moving to lower tax states and cities is putting a massive strain on the high tax locations to find the money to pay the over inflated pensions (that no one in government put money aside for) and the high welfare they pay to bribe the lower class to vote Dem. Now they are stuck with turning their citizens into snitches to raise money to try and keep their socialist paradise from collapsing.

        The issue of unfunded liabilities represents an almost unobjected-to LOOTING of American coffers that went unnoticed solely because everyone grew so accustomed to deficit spending that it debt became the norm.

        In and of itself, deficit spending is not an economic poison. However, making debt a way of life (be it credit card, student loan, or sub-prime mortgage) has only served to shield the looters.

        All of which represented bipartisan corruption that enabled Democrat-controlled states and cities to enter a runaway cycle of overextension which merits, not just incarceration, but bipartisan executions for betraying the American way of life unto our enemies.

    “One of Alternative for Germany’s branches in Berlin marked the end of the European Parliament elections with a Facebook post. The published collage suggested that the western and southern states, where the party had less support, had been taken over by Islamists.

    The Alternative for Germany (AfD) party’s branch in Berlin’s Lichtenberg district has prompted anger and outrage online over its alleged graphic Facebook post on the European Parliament election results. They reportedly uploaded a picture showing their country split into the “republic of Germany” and the “German caliphate”. Although the post was apparently deleted several hours after the publication, the purported screenshots are still circulating on social media.

    On these pictures, several eastern federal states are blue, which is AfD’s colour, and has the German flag over them, while the western and southern regions are painted green and marked with a black banner featuring the Islamic declaration of faith. The division mirrors the vote results as the AfD, promoting stricter migrant control, succeeded in the “republic of Germany’s” states. The caption reads “Pictures speak louder than words”. The AfD, as well as its Berlin branch, has not commented on the issue yet. At the same time, it has vehemently and repeatedly refuted any accusations of Islamophobia.

    Around 30 SAS and Special Boat Service troopers have reportedly teamed up with American Special Forces following Easter bombings on churches and hotels in Sri Lanka, which left 253 killed, including dozens of foreigners, out of concern that Western states could be targeted next.     “Al-Baghdadi is a very important figurehead for Islamic State [Daesh*] and getting him is a very high priority.     “It is not known where al-Baghdadi is, but every suspicious movement on the ground is being monitored and, even though he is the most careful of the high-value targets, he will make a mistake. They always make a mistake in the end – and then he will be either trapped or killed”, another senior source was quoted as saying.

    The Defence Ministry has, however, refused to comment on special forces missions.

    Shaukat Yousafzai, a spokesman in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province bordering Afghanistan, says parliament member Mohsin Dawar was captured in a raid Thursday in North Waziristan.

    Ethnic tensions with minority Pashtuns have recently flared up in the area.

    Dawar and another legislator, Ali Wazir, are accused of leading an attack Sunday by protesters that set off a shootout there. Three activists were killed and five troops were wounded. A soldier was killed in a similar disturbance at another post nearby.

    Wazir was arrested but Dawar fled at the time.

    The two lawmakers represent a Pashtun group which denounces what it says is the military’s excessive use of force against local tribesmen.”

    The Interior Ministry said a soldier had noticed a suspicious person and as he approached him, the attacker detonated his explosives near the academy.

    If the bomber had come closer, the number of casualties could have been much higher, a security official said, adding that the academy cadets were getting ready to leave for their weekend. The official spoke on condition of anonymity in line with regulations.

    “Thousands of migrants and refugees, stranded in Bosnia on their way to Western Europe, are sleeping rough in parks and abandoned buildings and some have died, the Red Cross said on Thursday.

    Bosnia, spared the migrant wave in 2015, has seen an influx of migrants trying to reach wealthier European nations via neighbouring Croatia, an EU member. Some report being beaten back by border guards when they try to cross into Croatia.

    About 25,000 people from Asia and North Africa entered Bosnia from Serbia and Montenegro last year, and about 6,000 have arrived in the impoverished Balkan country this year, according to Bosnia’s security agencies.

    Only around 3,500 have been accommodated in transit centres, leaving thousands sleeping rough.

    “People are sleeping in parks, in car parks, on the footpath, and in dangerous buildings,” Indira Kulenovic, operations manager for the International Federation of the Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC), said in a statement.

    “The situation is dire.”

    She said three migrants sheltering in a derelict building a few weeks ago burned to death when a candle they were using caused a fire. Another migrant fell from the top floor of a building he was sheltering in, and another set himself on fire and killed himself last week in desperation.

    Red Cross volunteers help to prepare meals for 3,000 people a day in five migrant centres across Bosnia, while mobile teams provide people on the move with food, water, clothes, blankets, psycho-social support and first aid.

    The migrants also face the hazard of landmines left from Bosnia’s war in the 1990s. Bosnia is one of the most landmine-contaminated countries in Europe.

    Most of the migrants are concentrated in the western towns of Bihac and Velika Kladusa where authorities say resources are overstretched. They have requested that the three transit centres there be closed and residents moved elsewhere.

    Ethnically-divided Bosnia has not formed a government seven months after a general election. State institutions in charge of migration and asylum issues are operating in a care-taking capacity.

    “Our teams are doing what they can but they are stretched to the limit and the situation has reached a critical point. This is a humanitarian crisis,” said Rajko Lazic, the secretary- general of Bosnia’s Red Cross Society.”

    French rapper Nick Conrad, who has prompted outrage with his new release “Sweet Country” with the lyrics “I F**k France until agony”, was questioned by Paris judicial police, but walked away free for the time being, French broadcaster LCI (La Chaîne Info) reports. Investigators summoned him due to a probe that was opened by the Paris prosecutor’s office following a report by Interior Minister Christophe Castaner.

    At the end of his recently released music video, the rapper of Cameroonian origin acted out strangling a white woman. Throughout the song, he also repeated the chorus “I f**k France until agony” and “I burn France”, as well as voiced a wish to plant a “bomb under the Pantheon”.

    The clip has been condemned by French politicians, including Castaner, who filed an official complaint, as well as by Republican top candidate in the European elections François-Xavier Bellamy. At the same time, the president of the Volunteers Pour la France, General Antoine Martinez, launched a petition, demanding that the rapper be stripped of his French passport.

  50. Four Mexican Migrants Arrested in Vermont After Crossing Canadian Border

    Swanton Sector Border Patrol agents and a K-9 arrested four Mexican nationals who illegally crossed the Canadian border into Vermont.

    Agents assigned to the Swanton Sector’s Tactical Communications Center (TCC) notified agents about a possible illegal border crossing near Highgate, Vermont. Agents deployed to the area with a K-9 team to track down the group of migrants, according to information obtained from Border Patrol officials.

    The search team found a group of three people about 200 yards off a main road in the area. Agents found the migrants hiding in the brush, officials stated. A fourth person fled on foot. Following a short foot pursuit, the agents took the fourth migrant into custody.
