Climate alarmism is just a modern version of man’s primal superstitions about cataclysmic natural events. But these fears are baseless for there is no legitimate evidence to show that “extreme weather is increasing or sea level rise is accelerating.”
Climate alarmism is a form of Groupthink — or, as Heller puts it, the Emperor’s New Clothes. This Groupthink requires ignoring the evidence and instead deferring to the opinions of a very small body of parti pris “experts”.

Climate alarmism is entirely dependent on graphs and computer models which rely on cherry-picked or corrupt data. Few if any of these models have come close to forecasting real world outcomes.

Unlike libbies who believe in global warming and veganism, Begum believes in Allah and she’s prepared to die as a martyr. She stakes her life on the Koran and Hadith. She is convinced they are divinely-inspired sources of authority. She believes in Islamic supremacy, in her vocation as a jihadi, and in a country; even better, a Caliphate. This explains why at the age of 15 she slipped out of her London home and hopped on a plane to ISIS Disneyland in Syria.
Ironically, Begum believes in “treason” and the death penalty for treason. In Islam, apostasy is treason. Ahmed al-Tayyeb, Grand Imam of Al Azhar University (Pope Francis and Archbishop Welby’s new compadre), categorically asserts: “To convert from Islam is ‘treason’ that should carry the death penalty.” All four schools of Islamic jurisprudence confirm this law. Would it not be fair to simply try Shamima by her own standards of Islamic law? Even by British standards, she has committed treason by aiding ISIS, who have attacked British forces in Syria.
Begum’s lawyer is playing the victim card, claiming she’s a victim of “grooming and ISIS propaganda.” Predictably, the leftwing Guardian’s editorial is calling her “undoubtedly vulnerable” because “she was groomed online at the age of 15.” Her family has even suggested that Begum’s reluctance to denounce ISIS may be because of “Stockholm syndrome.” But even by the wildest stretches of semantic elasticity, Begum isn’t a victim.
A victim isn’t free to choose. Morally equating Begum’s free choice to join ISIS with the helplessness of underage victims of sexual violence who were groomed on an industrial scale in England by Muslim Pakistani men or to ISIS’s Yazidi women victims forced into sex-slavery is abhorrent beyond description. She made a free choice to join a group of well-publicized genocidal monsters.

Video promoting self-harm tips — spliced between clips of a popular video game — has surfaced at least twice on YouTube and YouTube Kids since July, according to a pediatrician and mom who discovered the video.
The suicide instructions are sandwiched between clips from the popular Nintendo game Splatoon and delivered by a man speaking in front of what appears to be a green screen — an apparent effort to have him blend in with the rest of the animated video.

The man featured is YouTuber Filthy Frank, who has over 6.2 million subscribers and calls himself “the embodiment of everything a person should not be,” although there is no evidence that Frank, whose real name is George Miller, was involved in creating the doctored video. He did not immediately respond to CBS News’ request for comment.

After Venezuela violence, Pence to meet with Guaido in Colombia
WASHINGTON (Reuters) – U.S. Vice President Mike Pence plans to have his first meeting with Venezuela’s Juan Guaido in Colombia on Monday, Pence aides said, in a signal of support for the opposition leader after a weekend of violence.
On Saturday, troops loyal to Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro blocked convoys of U.S. humanitarian aid from crossing from Colombia to Venezuela, using teargas and rubber bullets and killing two protesters.
The violence could lead the United States to impose new sanctions as early as Monday to cut off the Maduro’s government access to revenues.
Pence is traveling to the Colombian capital Bogota to meet with the Lima Group of regional leaders who recognize Guaido as the legitimate leader of Venezuela after Maduro held elections last year which were dismissed as fraudulent.
A senior U.S. official told reporters on Friday that Pence would be prepared to announce new sanctions at the meeting if the aid was turned back, – adding to pressure from sanctions on state-owned oil company PDVSA.

You are assuming that 2020 will be an honest election. As voting becomes more digital and silicon valley globalists become less honest along with the democrats’ new ethos of “any means to and end”, this is not cut and dry no matter how well Trump does. By their election of blatant racists and communists the democrats have far too much to lose to sit back and allow an honest election. After the Mueller Moscow fiasco it is quite clear than “by any means” is well on the cards.
I don’t see silicon valley being able to steal an election until the voting systems in the vast majority of states are all the same. Until then we still have a chance of winning, especially when the Dems scare so many people the votes are overwhelmingly in our favor. The totals won’t show that we win by an overwhelming majority but we can still win.
It is 2024 that has me scared, by then the Dem violence will be going very strong. Granted it maybe doing that by 2020 but not as strong as it will be in 2024. In the long run winning the coming civil war is our only hope of remaining free.

Preventing voter fraud and securing polling sites for 2020 would require intense mobilization THIS VERY MOMENT. I don’t see it happening. I’m not sure why.

The persecution of Christians in Iran in 2018 increased to a new level, according to an in-depth report jointly released by Open Doors, Middle East Concern, Article 18, and Christian Solidarity Worldwide.
“The end of 2018 saw an unprecedented wave of raids on private house gatherings, leading to a large number of arrests. Many Christians received prison sentences, or had sentences upheld by the Court of Appeal,” noted the report.
Despite this roaring abuse, and violations and attacks against Christians being significantly ratcheted up, the international community continues to label the Iranian government, run by President Hassan Rouhani, as “moderate.

“Talk to Iran!” This is the advice some Western politicians have bandied around since 1979, when the mullahs seized power in Tehran. The 40th anniversary of the Khomeinist regime has provided fresh opportunity for that slogan to be promoted again in the European Union and the United States.

The barbaric jihadis had beheaded dozens of Yazidi women before dumping their heads in dustbins.
British Special Forces made the grisly discovery when they entered Baghuz, the besieged town on the banks of the Euphrates in eastern Syria where IS is making its last desperate stand.
It followed a fierce close-quarter battle earlier this month during which SAS soldiers fired 600 mortar bombs and tens of thousands of machine-gun rounds, forcing the enemy into a network of tunnels beneath the rubble-strewn town.
More than 100 jihadis were killed during the battle. Two British soldiers were wounded, though neither has life-threatening injuries.
A source told The Mail on Sunday: ‘In their hour of defeat, the jihadis’ cruelty knew no bounds. They conducted a cowardly slaughter of these desperately unfortunate women as a final act of depravity and left their severed heads behind for us to find. The motivation for such a sickening act is beyond comprehension for any remotely normal human being.
‘None of the SAS troops who entered Baghuz will forget what they saw, which some soldiers likened to a scene from the film Apocalypse Now. Their only solace is that they have contributed to bringing Islamic State’s reign of terror to an end.’
The Mail on Sunday can today reveal extraordinary details of the role played by British forces on land and in the air to finally crush IS on the battlefield – and how some of the jihadis fled by disguising themselves as female refugees.
Five years ago, the terror group controlled 34,000 square miles of territory stretching from western Syria to eastern Iraq – equivalent to an area more than a quarter the size of England.
Terrorist leaders proclaimed their new ‘caliphate’ and imposed their brutal rule on almost eight million people. They also generated billions of dollars from oil, extortion, robbery and kidnapping.
But by last night, a rump of 200 militants had been confined to one-fifth of a square mile of scrubland near Baghuz called Hawi al-Dandal, where they are understood to be holding an equal number of civilian hostages.
According to defence sources, SAS soldiers first deployed to Iraq and Syria in 2015, where they led an international manhunt for Mohammed Emwazi, the London-born militant known as ‘Jihadi John’ – he beheaded Western hostages and taunted international leaders with blood-curdling threats. Emwazi was killed by a precision air strike in Raqqa in November that year.
Two years later, heavily armed SAS desert patrol vehicles were photographed at Al-Tanf on the Iraqi-Syria border. The Mail on Sunday understands that 65 troops from the elite regiment’s B Squadron, accompanied by specialist mortar fire controllers and radio operators, left Al-Tanf to travel to Baghuz last month.
They deployed in dune buggies and aboard Chinook helicopters from the RAF’s top-secret Special Forces squadron. Artillery support for last week’s final battle was provided by American and French Special Forces based at Al Qaim just over the Iraqi border. SAS operatives were also accompanied by hundreds of Western-trained troops from the Syrian Defence Force (SDF).
During the battle, RAF Typhoon fighter aircraft destroyed IS strongholds using Storm Shadow and Brimstone 2 rockets, while unmanned Reaper drones provided 24-hour surveillance coverage of Baghuz. An official defence source described as ‘intense’ the fighting as SAS and SDF troops targeted the strategically significant Baghuz-Bukhamal bridge during their advance on the town.
A source said: ‘The battle proper began on February 9. In the first two days, 37 IS fighters were killed and 19 enemy positions were destroyed, including the jihadis’ operational control centre in a mosque in Baghuz on February 11.
‘An advance by the SAS and SDF troops caused IS to go underground, utilising a network of tunnels under the town, but the rats couldn’t escape because, even with the heavy cloud cover and dust storms, we were able to use drones effectively and identify openings to these tunnels.
‘Co-ordinates for these positions were passed to SAS mortar teams and the US-French artillery units which pounded these positions.
‘There was then a lull in the fighting while a humanitarian corridor was established, allowing around 1,500 civilians to be driven out of Baghuz in a column of 17 trucks.
‘Most of those leaving the town were women and children, but the convoy also included IS fighters disguised as women, who were taken into captivity.’
From February 12, SAS and SDF troops equipped with sophisticated night-vision equipment were inserted covertly into Baghuz, an agricultural town where 10,000 citizens have been terrorised by IS.
Sources said the team reported to commanders that many of the tunnels had been destroyed and that the jihadis had withdrawn.
In their place, however, the Islamists had left a treacherous web of landmines and rigged abandoned cars and homes with explosives.
As a result, specialist teams were called to dissemble the daisy chains of bombs, a painstaking process which took several days.
According to defence sources, a further 26 IS fighters were killed by the SAS and international forces in the Baghuz area on February 14.
The following day, around 200 jihadis surrendered, with the dishevelled fighters searched by the SDF for hidden weapons.
Iris-recognition technology was used to identify high-ranking terrorists whose biometric data had previously been harvested by Special Forces.
The fighting continued last week, which is when The Mail on Sunday understands that SAS troops made the horrific discovery of the heads of the murdered Yazidi sex slaves. They also found the remains of IS fighters killed in the battle and jihadis assassinated by their commanders, apparently on suspicion that they were spies.
However, it is feared that more than 100 hardcore jihadis have successfully passed themselves off as refugees fleeing the fighting and they are now in camps set up to house and feed civilians displaced by the war.
Last night, the Ministry of Defence confirmed the role of RAF Typhoons in the Battle of Baghuz, but a spokesman declined to comment on the role of British Special Forces.

“Spanish coastguard rescue planes are operating without the search radars that help to save lives at sea, as Spain struggles to deal with the largest ever influx of migrants on its southern shores.
Ismael Furió, head of the the workers’ committee at Spain’s Coastguard, said vital radars on all of the four coastguard planes in Spain, and specifically the two covering the Mediterranean area, have been out of action for the past year.
A record 769 migrants died making the crossing from North Africa last year, as the Strait of Gibraltar sea path overtook the Aegean and Libyan routes into Europe with more than 58,000 arrivals, according to the International Organization for Migration.
Mr Furio said an “atrocity” is being committed as bureaucratic problems compound a lack of resources to cause greater numbers of deaths at sea.
“It is almost pointless going out in those planes to look for a migrant boat amidst the waves. Those radars allow us to scan 20 to 30 miles, while with the naked eye you can cover about two miles, and even then the chances of seeing something are practically nil,” Mr Furió told The Telegraph.
Two of the radars have been sent for repair in the United States, but the US administration is reportedly refusing to allow the equipment to be re-exported to Spain because Airbus Defence and Space, the company that supplies the radars to the coastguard service, is currently subject to an embargo.
“That is clearly not Spain’s fault,” Mr Furió said. “But it is very serious that another solution has not been sought during the biggest immigration crisis in history. And next it could be a yacht or a fishing boat that is affected.”

The SDF now estimates that around 5,000 civilians and 1,500 fighters remain in Baghuz, more than originally thought but still a fraction of the 8 million people who once lived under the jihadists’ black banner.

“Up to 100 British children may have been born to Islamic State brides in Syria, sources have suggested, creating a huge security headache for the Government, as it seeks to strip dual national jihadists of UK citizenship.
Last week Sajid Javid, the Home Secretary, announced that he had revoked the British passport of former east London schoolgirl, Shamima Begum, a decision that her Bangladeshi father has now said he supports.
But the Government was forced to concede that her son Jarrah – who is just a week old – is a British citizen who has every right to return to the UK.
Around 150 British girls and women are thought to have travelled to Syria to join Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (Isil), with almost all marrying and giving birth in the self-declared caliphate.
A further 50 older children were taken to Syria by their parents, but around a quarter of those are thought to have been killed.
The Soufan Centre, a counter-terrorism research organisation based in the US, estimates that there are as at least 700 children born to foreign jihadis still in Syria.
Many of the youngsters will have witnessed appalling scenes of violence including executions and beheadings, while some of the older children may have even been coerced into take part in crimes against humanity.
A briefing paper published by Soufan has warned that Western countries must have a strategy to deal with the children should they return home…”

“SHARM EL-SHEIKH, Egypt (AP) — Leaders from European Union and Arab League countries are holding their first-ever summit, meeting in the Egyptian resort city of Sharm el-Sheikh to discuss migration, security and business deals.
Under tight security on the Red Sea coast, the leaders are likely Sunday to commit to addressing conflicts in Syria and Yemen or stalled Middle East peace efforts, while papering over major differences about how to resolve them or who might be responsible.
Amid this public display of unity, just drafting a summit statement has proved difficult. EU and Arab League foreign ministers failed to agree earlier this month on a text after Hungary objected to the section on migration.
Europe’s migration challenge is at the heart of the two-day meeting, being held under the slogan “Investing in Stability.” Desperate to bring migrant arrivals under control, the EU offered the summit last October as a symbolic sweetener to Egyptian President Abdel-Fattah el-Sissi, much as they did with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan in 2015.
The EU wants el-Sissi to order the Egyptian coast guard to pick up migrants leaving Libya and take them back to the African mainland, ensuring they do not become Europe’s responsibility. El-Sissi, in turn, receives high-profile European recognition, promotion for Sharm el-Sheikh, and is likely to avoid any lessons on human rights.
While the number of people crossing the central Mediterranean has now dropped to a seven-year low, Europe’s inability to agree on how to manage the arrivals has sparked a major political crisis, as nations bicker over who should take responsibility and whether other EU partners should help out. Some, like Prime Minister Viktor Orban in Hungary, claim that extremists are entering among the refugees.
Just days before the summit, the head of the EU’s border and coast guard agency praised the authorities in Cairo for preventing any migrant from setting out for Europe from the Egyptian coast since 2016.
“There are no boats coming directly from Egypt to the European Union,” Frontex director Fabrice Leggeri said. “The cooperation with Egypt is really encouraging and is developing.”
The EU routinely trumpets an agreement it reached with Erdogan for slowing migrant arrivals to a trickle in exchange for up to 6 billion euros ($7 billion) in aid for Syrian refugees there and other incentives. It has pledged to replicate the deal in northern Africa.
Ahead of this inaugural summit, experts and European officials played down any expectation of major results.
“The timing is very important because it comes after eight years of instability in the Mediterranean affecting Europe and the Middle East,” Saeed Sadek, professor of political sociology at the Canadian University in Cairo told The Associated Press.
“Both sides want to know how can we stabilize the area further, produce stability, how can we deal with the consequences and prevent any further escalations,” said Sadek. “But the imbalance of power between the two sides may not produce the concrete results that people imagine.””

Afghans Assault Gay Asylum Seeker at Swedish ‘LGBT Certified’ Asylum Home (breitbart, Feb 24, 2019)

“An Iranian gay man was the subject of a vicious assault by a gang of Afghans at a Swedish asylum home despite it being “certified” for LGBT individuals.
One man, Abdul Azizi, has been found guilty and convicted following the assault, which saw the Iranian jumped by around fifteen Afghans after he and his boyfriend had sat down to eat dinner in the asylum home dining room, Nyheter Idag reports.
The asylum home, located in Västmanland, was previously “LGBT certified” by the Swedish Federation for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Queer Rights (RFSL), with staff undergoing 16 hours of training and two workshops back in May 2015.
Following the attack on the Iranian, the home was forced to hire a security company for a ten-day period to restore order in the home.
The attacker claimed that the Iranian had insulted the Afghans’ mothers, which led to the violence — but this was countered by staff who testified that the Afghans had started the abuse.
“If I had been alone and he had said so ugly things then I could have checked myself but when he said this openly to everyone, we all became so upset and couldn’t control ourselves. We may have made an unconscious error, but honour violations are serious for us, ” Azizi told police.
The Afghan was sentenced to one year in prison and a fine to be paid to the victim. He would also be deported, save for the fact he had a previous deportation order that could not be previously enforced.
Violence against LGBT asylum seekers in asylum homes in Europe has been a major issue for years since the height of the migrant crisis in late 2015.
By February 2016, homosexuals, along with Christian converts and other minorities, were fleeing asylum homes due to threats and violence from predominantly Muslim men…”

“French Jewish philosopher Alain Finkielkraut has claimed that the populist movement in Europe has largely been a reaction to demographic changes, blaming German Chancellor Angela Merkel.
Finkielkraut labelled Chancellor Merkel’s infamous “wir schaffen das!” (we can do it!) phrase during the height of the migrant crisis in 2015 as “nonsense”, saying, “You see it yourself: you can not do it. This mix of extreme moralism and economic interests was repugnant,” Die Welt reports.
“The Germans wanted to buy themselves free and finally become a morally impeccable people. But that happens at the expense of the Jews, who are the first victims, as more and more immigrants are let in,” he added.
The philosopher said he would support “responsible, if not extremely restrictive” immigration policies, explaining: “I am convinced that the integration of immigrants is becoming increasingly difficult. If immigration goes on, we will have more reverse phenomena, namely that the French adapt to the culture of Islam or convert more and more.”
Last Saturday Finkielkraut was the victim of anti-semitic abuse hurled at him by a Gilets Jaunes (Yellow Vest) protestor who was later revealed to be an Islamic extremist.
Commenting on the attack, Finkielkraut said: “We are now trying to convince ourselves that this is a reawakening of old nationalist and anti-Semitic combat calls such as ‘France belongs to us’, ‘France for the French’.”
“But the one who called that, the most aggressive of them all, is a Salafist,” he said, adding: “If someone says: France belongs to us, then that means: France is destined to become Islamic soil.”
France has also seen a surge in anti-Semitic incidents over the past year according to a recently released report.
“Modern anti-Semitism is not a game of racism, it is a variant of anti-racism. All anti-Semites today are anti-racists. They speak in the name of humanity, in the name of all suffering beings. And in this way they associate the Star of David with the swastika,” Finkielkraut observed.
He also noted “that anti-Semitism would be a marginal problem in France and Europe if our societies had not been transformed against their will into multicultural societies.”
In the suburbs of Paris, the Jewish population has seen a rapid decline in recent years, and according to Finkielkraut, “Jews leave certain districts and cities because life has become hell there for them.”
“It is important to know that in certain districts the most common insults are ‘filthy Jew’ and ‘filthy Frenchman’,” he added.”

“Egypt has rejected criticism from a U.N. human rights body about a recent spike in executions allegedly involving confessions made under torture, saying Cairo categorically rejects any infringement into the affairs of its judiciary.
In a Sunday statement, the foreign affairs ministry said the nine death sentences carried out Wednesday of alleged Islamists followed “fair and transparent trials.” The nine were found guilty of taking part in a 2015 bombing that killed the country’s top prosecutor, Hisham Barakat.
U.N. Human Rights Office spokesman Rupert Colville told reporters Friday that Egyptian authorities should take all measures needed to guarantee due process and investigate allegations of torture. Colville said that judges had ignored accounts of torture to extract confessions.
A total of 15 people have been executed in Egypt this year.”

“Three rebels, a counterinsurgency police officer and an army soldier were killed Sunday during a gunbattle in Kashmir, officials said, as shops and businesses shut down to protest a sweeping and ongoing crackdown against activists seeking the end of Indian rule in the disputed region.
The fighting triggered large anti-India protests and clashes as hundreds of residents thronged the village of Turigam in the southern Kulgam area and barraged troops with stones. An army officer and two other soldiers were injured in the fighting, which was still raging later Sunday.
Government forces opened fire with shotguns and tear gas to quell the protesters, injuring at least half a dozen civilians, residents and emergency workers said…”
UN: Last year saw highest number of Afghan civilian deaths (abcnews, Feb 24, 2019)

“More civilians were killed in Afghanistan last year than in any of the previous nine years of the increasingly bloody conflict, according to a U.N. report released Sunday, which blamed the spike in deaths on increased suicide bombings by the Islamic State group and stepped up aerial attacks by U.S.-led coalition forces.
In its annual report, the United Nations Assistance Mission in Afghanistan said 3,804 civilians were killed last year, the highest number since the international organization began tallying figures in 2009. Another 7,189 were wounded.
The report comes amid efforts to find a peaceful end to the 17-year war, which have accelerated since the appointment in September of U.S. peace envoy Zalmay Khalilzad, who is to begin another round of talks with the Taliban on Monday in the Gulf state of Qatar, where they maintain a political office.
U.N. envoy Tadamichi Yamamoto called the spiraling number of civilian casualties “deeply disturbing and wholly unacceptable.”
Tens of thousands of Afghan civilians are displaced in their own country after fleeing fighting in their home provinces. Tens of thousands more have fled their homeland, seeking safety in neighboring countries and in Europe.
According to the report, 63 percent of all civilian casualties were caused by insurgents, with the breakdown blaming the Taliban for 37 percent of the dead and wounded, the Islamic State group for 20 percent, and a collection of other anti-government groups for the remaining 6 percent.
Taliban spokesman Qari Yousuf Ahmadi rejected the report blaming most of the deaths on “blind U.S. bombardments.”
The government and its U.S. and NATO allies were blamed for 24 percent of the dead and wounded civilians caught in the crossfire, many of them killed in stepped up aerial attacks, most of which are carried out by the U.S. and NATO, according to the U.N.
The report said civilian casualties at the hands of Afghan and international forces were up significantly in 2018 compared to 2017.
“For the first time since 2009 when it began systematically documenting civilian casualty figures, UNAMA recorded more than 1,000 civilian casualties from aerial operations,” the report said.
The U.S. military says it carried out 6,823 sorties last year in which munitions were fired — the highest number in the last six years.
Last year “witnessed the highest number of civilian casualties ever recorded from suicide attacks and aerial operations,” according to the report.
Since the U.N. began documenting civilian casualties 10 years ago, more than 32,000 civilians have been killed and another 60,000 wounded.
“It is time to put an end to this human misery and tragedy,” said Yamamoto. “The best way to halt the killings and maiming of civilians is to stop the fighting. That is why there is all the more need now to use all our efforts to bring about peace.”
The U.S. and the Taliban have openly embraced a strategy of talking while fighting, with the Taliban carrying out near-daily attacks on Afghanistan’s beleaguered security forces.
Afghan forces are battling the Taliban throughout the country with support from their U.S.-led coalition allies. The coalition and Afghanistan’s security forces have also been pounding Islamic State positions, particularly in eastern Afghanistan, where the affiliate is based.”
