  1. Ah-hah!
Seth Frantzman notes this Khashoggi burst of coordinated news is another example of “channeled rage”. Like the Kavanaugh “outrage” that dominated the news cycle for a while.

What J.E. Dyer described as “seeding the news” and Lee Smith called a “brave new world of manufactured news for hire”. I call it “theme packages” – manufactured for coordinated bursts across media platforms. One after another after another.
    ……

    @sfrantzman
So after a week of massive coverage of #SaudiArabia in US media, the changing discussions in Turkey and lack of the “recording” seems to be reducing coverage. We have to see now if all the channeled “rage” expressed in columns and Congress and elsewhere will mean much

In the US in recent years this phenomenon of “channeled rage” has become common so that every few weeks some new thing we are supposed to have “outrage” toward us suddenly stressed everywhere. But as with the Kavanaugh hearings, does it eventually pass

Was the “Saudi Arabia!” rage of October 6-14 taking over from the Kavanaugh crises of Sept. 25-Oct 6? Is that the news cycle? Will rhetoric translate to action?

    For instance the Turkish media is indicating that the patching up of relations may be in the cards; US media may also note after excoriating “MBS” that there is a Saudi King (most US media doesn’t seem to mention him, portraying MBS as sole leader);

      • There was twenty years ago or so,a very wealthy international arms dealer, quite notorious,is this the man or his son?

          • The son – and a cousin of Dody al Fayad, princess Di’s lover.

It was all a most terrible mistake. The usual swarm of glitterati took their instructions far too seriously when they agreed to, “Follow closely and watch Princess Die.”

            Simply ‘orrible, I tells yez…

        • _Uncle_ Adnan Khashoggi _+_ 1st cousin (oddly enough!).

Big, rich clan. Like the Bin Laden family. Not Royals, but offspring of these clans ally with the various factions that contend for power behind the al-Saud Regime. Polygamy: it’s common for stepbrothers to follow rival factions. Fierce foes, murderous.

The Khashoggis are into all kinds of things: arms trade, finance, transshipment of petroleum products. They’re “connected” in this tardish mafia society.

This guy worked for Prince Turki al-Faisel, then another stepbrother al-Saud Prince, then back to al-Turki.

That translates to Saudi intelligence services => Afghanistan, al-Qaeda, CIA, 9/11, secrets & lies. Brennan was station chief there; the whole division is rank with Deep State/MB operatives.

=> In 2015 King Salman changed the Line of Succession from his nephew, Prince Mohammed bin Nayef, to his son, the inexperienced young MbS. That meant a sharp turn AWAY from the Bros. and accommodation with Iran.

Massive implications for the entire region. Lots of unhappy MB soldiers and shills everywhere! Angst in obamanoid circles!

Uncomfortable for political creatures like Khashoggi, who had visions of “civilization jihad” dancing in his brain since the 1970s.

Assorted “dissident” Princes have been disappeared from self-exile in Europe over the last couple years. Khashoggi’s connections secured him a U.S. residency and voice in the CIA-mouthpiece, the WaPo.

Of course the Sultan has the biggest MB-mouth and wields real power. So jolly Khashoggi shuttled back and forth between Turkey and D.C.

          Till his wings were clipped.
          Or something.

          • That meant a sharp turn AWAY from the Bros. and accommodation with Iran.

Away from the MB AND _away_ from accommodation with Iran.

          • That meant a sharp turn AWAY from the Bros. and accommodation with Iran.

Clarification: …turn away from BOTH the MB and away from accommodation with Iran.

              • Yep.

Even if only to confirm what’s already known … thank you so much, Yucki, for graciously verifying the role of slimebag-supreme, Prince Turki al-Faisel, as 9-11 provocateur imperial.

Getting Prince Turki al-Faisel’s neck stretched across whatever well-grooved chopping block (Saudi or Shiite matters NOT) would represent a YUGE amount of progress towards stabilizing the entire Arabian Peninsula.

Until then, yust keep choppin’ them Turkies. Giblets at no extra charge.

      • This is an interesting article, in that same vein, which lists 10 questions we should ask – and why:

On October 2, Saudi national and U.S. green-card holder Jamal Khashoggi reportedly walked into the Saudi consulate to resolve issues related to his marital status. Through anonymous leaks to the press, Turkish sources claim he did not leave the diplomatic facility alive. More anonymous sources claim he was tortured and murdered, allegations repeated in the U.S. press without evidence.

It is possible that the circumstances around Khashoggi’s disappearance will soon come to light. However, it’s equally likely that the passage of time will only further obscure events. To cast some light on the issue, I thought it was worthwhile asking what seem to me the central questions.

        1. Is There Evidence Khashoggi Was Murdered?
Turkish sources say there is. The U.S. press has reported that unnamed Turkish officials have told them—or unnamed second-hand Turkish sources had told them—they have evidence, audio and video, that a team of Saudi officials detained, tortured, and killed Khashoggi.

However, no reporters, neither Western nor Turkish, have seen that evidence. If it exists, the Turks have not made it public. In one of the few leaks from the U.S. government, an intelligence official told CNN there is no hard evidence as to whether Khashoggi is dead or alive.

        2. Why Has Turkey Asked Saudi Arabia to Join Its Khashoggi Investigative Team?

        http://thefederalist.com/2018/10/15/10-key-questions-khashoggi-affair-answer-buying-press-narrative/

        • Out of those “10 questions”, I’ll settle for the answer to yust one …

Khashoggi must have [HAD] important American patrons, because even though he reportedly moved to the United States in 2017, he already had a green card”. According to the Washington Post’s David Ignatius: “Friends helped Khashoggi obtain a visa that allowed him to stay in the United States as a permanent resident.” So who vouched for him and why?

It might be useful to put these questions to former CIA director John Brennan. He was station chief in Riyadh from 1996-1999, when Khashoggi’s patron Turki al-Faisal was head of Saudi’s general intelligence directorate.

There’s that pesky lil’ ol’ “Turki-in-the-straw”, all over again. (Hat tip: Yucki)

          Coincidence, I DON’T THINK SO!!!

          “… supine press corps…

How redundant is that sort of redundancy s’posed to get?!?

Anything stranger and Leghorns will be laying sidewinders. Even though that won’t be the strangest weirdness that anyone’s ever seen this side of Panama.

          Let’s yust pretend… eh?

    • Investigators enter Saudi Consulate in Istanbul for ‘joint inspection’ to probe Khashoggi’s murder

A team of investigators entered the Saudi Consulate in Istanbul on Monday for what Turkish officials called a joint inspection of the building where Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi disappeared nearly two weeks ago.

The team arrived by unmarked police cars at the consulate and said nothing to journalists waiting outside as they entered the building. Police then pushed back journalists from the front of the consulate, where they’ve been stationed for days, setting up a new cordon to keep them away.

The makeup of the investigative team that entered the diplomatic compound was not immediately clear. International concern continues to grow over the writer’s October 2 disappearance. American lawmakers have threatened tough punitive action against the Saudis, and Germany, France and Britain have jointly called for a “credible investigation” into Khashoggi’s disappearance.

A Foreign Ministry official had earlier said the team would visit the diplomatic post Monday. The official spoke on condition of anonymity in line with government regulations. Officials in Saudi Arabia did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

Turkish officials have said they fear a Saudi hit team that flew into and out of Turkey on October 2 killed and dismembered Khashoggi, who had written Washington Post columns critically of Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. The kingdom has called such allegations “baseless” but has not offered any evidence Khashoggi ever left the consulate.

Such a search would be an extraordinary development, as embassies and consulates under the Vienna Convention are technically foreign soil. Saudi Arabia may have agreed to the search in order to appease its Western allies and the international community.

However, it remained unclear what evidence, if any, would remain nearly two weeks after Khashoggi’s disappearance. As if to drive the point home, a cleaning crew with mops, trash bags and cartons of milk walked in past journalists waiting outside the consulate on Monday.

President Donald Trump has said Saudi Arabia could face “severe punishment” if it was proven it was involved in Khashoggi’s disappearance. Trump tweeted on Monday that he had spoken with Saudi King Salman, “who denies any knowledge” of what happened to Khashoggi.

“He said that they are working closely with Turkey to find answer,” Trump wrote. “I am immediately sending our Secretary of State (Mike Pompeo) to meet with King!”

On Sunday, Saudi Arabia warned that if it “receives any action, it will respond with greater action, and that the kingdom’s economy has an influential and vital role in the global economy.”

“The kingdom affirms its total rejection of any threats and attempts to undermine it, whether by threatening to impose economic sanctions, using political pressures or repeating false accusations,” said the statement, carried by the state-run Saudi Press Agency.

    • CNN claims Saudi government to admit journalist killed in ‘interrogation gone wrong’

[…]According to CNN, however, a still-unpublished government report will blame Khashoggi’s death on an attempted abduction and botched questioning, “carried out without clearance and transparency” and say that those involved will be held responsible.

This is based on two anonymous sources that reportedly spoke to CNN’s correspondents, and has not been independently confirmed.

Jamal Khashoggi was accidentally killed during interrogation: report

Fox Business foreign policy analyst Walid Phares on the report that Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi was accidentally killed.

    • “A dying Jesus Christ is the central theme of a new campaign aimed at highlighting the red tape Aussies must clear to donate their organs.

Created to promote the new local film “Dying to Live”, the two minute advert starts with Jesus asking how to donate his organs.

“Isn’t it on my licence?” he asks two Roman legionaries, who point out that excluding South Australia, an online form must be completed.

“It’s a common misconception,” one replies.

The Roman legionaries then use a selfie stick to hoist up a smart phone to Jesus, who fills out the form.

But the Good Shepard’s donating process isn’t done yet, with his mother Mary making an appearance to give her consent for him to donate

The ad concludes with the legionaries taking a selfie with Jesus, who — with a smile — says, “hashtag blessed”.”

Nothing more that the majority of Christians today teach: He Died To Save Our Skins.

      • Oops, having watched the video – beyond the link to a promised physical and spiritual Welfare System which is the ‘if you give to God, god gives to you’ selfishness of the infantalized – this advert is totally mean-spirited in the Narrative of the Communists.

But, they can’t take kidneys from their alcoholics suppressing their anger to the State, so robbing a healthy dying man seems par for the course.

      • I agree with PC. They have transformed Jesus from a symbol of quality of life in important ways, to quantity of life in ways which trivialize the quality issue.

  2. LIVE: Shots and smoke at Cologne Central Station: Eyewitnesses report that a man set a girl on fire–
On Monday, the police moved out to sound a large alarm at Cologne Central Station. The information about the situation on site was initially contradictory, but in the meantime the authorities have confirmed that a hostage-taking was in progress. According to the news program “WDR Aktuell” on Twitter, at least one person is held hostage in the pharmacy at the back exit of the station. There have been reports of gunfire and smoke, both of which have not yet been confirmed. Even a girl allegedly set on fire by a stranger was mentioned in social networks. The police called on people via Twitter to refrain from spreading rumours and speculations. The police initially spoke of a “threat situation” in a pharmacy, which was reported to the officers at 12.45 pm. A special task force immediately set off. A police spokesman to the “Bild” newspaper: “We are preparing for all eventualities.” Shortly before 13.30 o’clock then the confirmation: It was a kidnapping in the area around the main station. According to unconfirmed media reports, there could be a connection with a dispute in the McDonald’s branch at the station. It is possible that the dispute between a man and a woman could have shifted from the fast food restaurant to the pharmacy and escalated there, the news magazine “Focus” reported, citing eyewitnesses. In the course of the upcoming large-scale deployment, the area around the main railway station was closed off on a large scale. As the German Railways announced on Twitter, there are already cancellations and delays in rail traffic. 3. Brazil’s Military Poised to Amass Power After Three-Decade Wait

(Bloomberg) — General Antonio Hamilton Mourao would be Brazil’s vice president. General Augusto Heleno would be defense minister. And General Oswald Ferreira is likely to run a new infrastructure ministry.

If ex-Army Captain Jair Bolsonaro wins the runoff vote against the Workers’ Party’s Fernando Haddad on Oct. 28, he has promised to name as many as five generals to his cabinet, giving the security forces their biggest public role in decades. In addition, at least 38 former soldiers, police officers and firefighters rode the coattails of the former paratrooper to win election to congress Oct. 7. In 2014, only 14 veterans won.

“This is because of the insecurity that we’re experiencing in Brazil,” said Waldir Soares de Oliveira, a re-elected congressman and ex-cop known as Deputy Waldir. “No one can cope with this wave of insecurity any more.”

Just over 30 years after the end of a military dictatorship, Brazil’s security forces are back in a big way. Even if Bolsonaro loses, there’s now a significant law-and-order bloc in Congress voted in by a population terrified by rising crime. With more than 63,000 violent deaths last year alone, the number of Brazilians murdered in 2017 outstrips U.S. combat deaths for the entire Vietnam War.

  4. Seeds of next global financial crisis being sown, top officials warn

    NUSA DUA (INDONESIA) (AFP) –

Rising US interest rates, tanking emerging market currencies and a bitter US-China trade spat could push the world towards its next financial crisis but there is still time to avert disaster, global finance chiefs have said.

The world economy is still growing but faces an “unprecedented” combination of threats, the International Monetary Fund cautioned at an annual meeting with the World Bank in Bali this week.

Among them is growing protectionism championed by the Trump administration and the intensifying trade-and-currency battle between Washington and Beijing, which have imposed tit-for-tat tariffs on billions of dollars worth of goods.

Defence Secretary Gavin Williamson said: “Identifying these threats means we can continue to build an armed forces that can stay ahead of them.”

The Future Starts Today report has delved into the likely challenges the UK will face in future decades.

Written with experts from allies around the world, it examines potential developments including wars fought by robots or “enhanced” humans and the need for the Government and military to respond.

  6. Kenyans Say Chinese Investment Brings Racism and Discrimination

RUIRU, Kenya — Before last year, Richard Ochieng’, 26, could not recall experiencing racism firsthand.

Not while growing up as an orphan in his village near Lake Victoria where everybody was, like him, black. Not while studying at a university in another part of Kenya. Not until his job search led him to Ruiru, a fast-growing settlement at the edge of the capital, Nairobi, where Mr. Ochieng’ found work at a Chinese motorcycle company that had just expanded to Kenya.

But then his new boss, a Chinese man his own age, started calling him a monkey.

It happened when the two were on a sales trip and spotted a troop of baboons on the roadside, he said.

“‘Your brothers,’” he said his boss exclaimed, urging Mr. Ochieng’ to share some bananas with the primates.

    https://www.nytimes.com/2018/10/15/world/africa/kenya-china-racism.html

    • Priceless. There are a few Chinese movies on youtube that show Chinese colonialism at its finest. One indirectly shows the racism Africans receive when they go to China. They are forced to stay in a selected area and cannot leave, etc. I was surprised that it was allowed to be shown in a China Films movie. I just looked for it and youtube has purged it apparently.

  7. Saudi king orders Khashoggi probe, Trump sends Pompeo to discuss case

ANKARA/WASHINGTON (Reuters) – Saudi Arabia’s King Salman on Monday ordered an internal probe into the unexplained disappearance of prominent journalist Jamal Khashoggi as a joint Turkish-Saudi team was set to search the Saudi consulate in Istanbul where he was last seen on Oct. 2.

U.S. President Donald Trump said meanwhile he had spoken with King Salman about Khashoggi, a critic of the kingdom’s policies, and that he was sending Secretary of State Mike Pompeo to meet the king immediately.

Trump also said Salman denied “any knowledge of whatever may have happened” to Khashoggi, who disappeared after he went to the Saudi consulate in Istanbul two weeks ago, and told him the Saudis are working closely with Turkey on the case.

Khashoggi, a U.S. resident and Washington Post columnist, vanished after entering the consulate to get marriage documents. Turkish officials have said authorities believe he was murdered and his body removed, allegations that Saudi Arabia has denied.

The case has provoked an international outcry, with Trump threatening “severe punishment” if it turns out Khashoggi was killed in the consulate and European allies urging “a credible investigation” and accountability for those responsible.

A Turkish diplomatic source said investigators would inspect the consulate on Monday afternoon, after delays last week when Turkey accepted a Saudi proposal to work together to find out what happened to Khashoggi.

  8. Media now going out of their way to frame negative stories so they’re ‘about Trump’
By Howard Portnoy October 14, 2018

A poll taken last week found that the 92% of television coverage of Donald Trump is negative. That’s up 2% from a poll conducted in May

The bias revealed in these numbers is nothing for the media to feel proud about. But they should downright ashamed by a new trend, which is far more sinister. It involves taking a story of adversity that marginally involves the president, if at all, and elevating him to a starring role.

One such example is the sobering tale of Shawn Pepas Lettman, a black Lyft driver, who was subject to a 16-minute racist harangue by a passenger who went ballistic when Lettman refused to play the radio in his car.

We might not know about the ugly incident at all had Lettman not thought to hit the “record” button on his cell phone once the verbal assault began. The video, which appears below, is instructive for more than its evidentiary value. It also attests to the kind of man Shawn Lettman is: He exhibits Job-like patience for the duration of the tirade, quietly gazing forward . (This aspect of the story has prompted some well-meaning types to start a GoFundMe page for Lettman, as though the answer to all life’s woes is to throw money at a victim whether he is needy or not, but that’s another post.)

  9. Fifth-grade students given survey that asks about their sexual history, gender identity
By LU Staff October 15, 2018

Last week it was reported in this space that a teacher in Los Angeles assigned her third-grade class lessons on sexual consent and how to show it. Judging from the content and the teacher’s remarks, the lessons were driven less by a sincere belief that this is information every 8-year-old needs to have than with the teacher’s personal dissatisfaction with the outcome of the Brett Kavanaugh investigation.

Now comes word of a survey sent to students in Vermont that asks about their sexual history, sexual orientation, and gender identity. Unlike the story out of California, these kids are much older. They are 10.

According to Plattsburgh, N.Y., NBC affiliate WPTZ:

  10. GOP lawmaker: Fusion GPS founder ‘in real legal jeopardy’ over inconsistent testimony
By Daily Caller News Foundation October 14, 2018

A Republican member of the House Judiciary Committee said Sunday that Fusion GPS co-founder Glenn Simpson is “in real legal jeopardy” over inconsistent testimony that he gave to Congress regarding his work on the infamous Steele dossier.

“I’m not surprised that Glenn Simpson is taking the Fifth,” Texas Rep. John Ratcliffe said in a Fox News interview.

“He probably should. He’s in real legal jeopardy. Very clearly someone is not telling the truth,” he added.

Simpson, who investigated the Trump campaign on behalf of the DNC and Hillary Clinton presidential campaign, informed Congress on Thursday that he will plead the Fifth to avoid speaking with members of the House Judiciary and House Oversight & Government Committee in an interview set for Tuesday.

Playing fetch on all fours might seem like an unusual activity for an adult, but one man who identifies as a dog says it has brought him closer to his husband.

    • A common running joke when I was a teenager among the guys was, “I am a lesbian trapped in a man’s body”.

It was of course, a way for a teen boy to get closer to women for reproductive attempts, while making a point about something or other.

This story above seems like a version of it. You have a straight submissive woman who has found a way to make being a straight submissive woman edge and progressive instead of, well normal.

So she pretends to be a man. Notice there is zero surgical alteration of her body. Cause her husband probably likes having a cute submissive woman as his wife. And what does he care if she pretends to be a man pretending to be a dog.

I am pretty sure he sees it differently than its being pitched in this Sovietized version of it.

  12. ‘Please, Say This Is a Joke’: Swedes Mock Police’s ‘Stop Shooting’ Initiative (sputniknews, Oct 15, 2018)
    https://sputniknews.com/viral/201810151068894026-sweden-police-shooting/

“In order to make criminals think twice before pulling the trigger, the Swedish Police Authority together with the City of Malmö and the Swedish Prison and Probation Service have presented a new project called “Stop Shooting,” prompting the mockery of fellow Swedes.

The new Swedish police initiative, intended to put an end to shooting sprees, has become a laughing stock among local internet users. Wisecrackers have compared it to a previous campaign to stop sexual harassment, in which girls were handed out “don’t paw me” bracelets, which also prompted widespread ridicule and doubt.

According to a police press release, the initiative is based on the Group Violence Intervention (GVI) strategy borrowed from the US, where, officials claim, it achieved positive results. It was partly credited with a drop in the murder rate among young people in Boston, which fell 63 percent. Now, the Swedish authorities hope it will help alleviate the situation in Malmö.

“Due to the situation in Malmö, the timing is perfect for us to run operational measures. It is important for us to relate to proven research, and the results in, among others, the United States have been very good,” Stefan Sintéus of the Malmö Police said.

According to the press release, the method is to “break down the group dynamic that foments violent behavior” and “replace it with a dynamic that takes into account the negative consequences that follow a violent act and the benefits of ending the violence.” This, they hope, can achieved via so-called “call-ins,” that is, targeted meetings with the police, prosecution and social services, during which selected risk group members are informed of the consequences of their actions. In the US, these face-to-face meetings are credited with creating collective accountability, fostering internal pressure and offering group members an “honorable exit.”

Despite Malmö suffering from gang-related violence and the fact that deadly shootings have more than doubled between 2013 and 2017, the “Stop Shooting” initiative was met with public ridicule. A common pattern was comparing it to a previous anti-harassment initiative, when young girls were handed out bracelets with the inscription “don’t paw me.” In a twist of bitter irony, rapists were later reported to be wearing the very same bracelets in a mockery of justice.

“Please, say this is a joke,” Benjamin Dousa, the leader of the Moderate Youth League tweeted.

To this, another user sarcastically replied that the anti-shooting appeal must be completed with “Please” for more effect.

“Works better with ‘Start Shooting.’ That is, letting the police do it,” yet another user commented.

User Torbjörn Jonsson argued that the whole campaign reeked of Dan Eliasson, the former police chief credited with launching the notorious “don’t paw me” bracelets, and suggested that a catchier name, such as “Thug in a cage,” would work better.

Yet another user reacted to the green color of hands on the “Stop Shooting” poster and wondered whether Pepe the Frog, the perennial protagonist of numerous internet memes, was its sponsor.

Still, other users were hopeful that the new campaign will help curb the deadly violence.”

  13. Tehran Dismisses Reports of Suicide Bomb Threat in Iran Embassy in Ankara (sputniknews, Oct 15, 2018)
    https://sputniknews.com/middleeast/201810151068893641-iran-embassy-suicide-attacker/

“The statement of Iran’s foreign ministry comes following reports by the Turkish newspaper Sözcü earlier in the day that a suicide attacker was inside the Iranian embassy in Ankara.

Iranian state broadcaster reported citing Iran’s foreign ministry that the officials dismissed reports of a possible suicide bomb threat at the embassy in Ankara. In addition, the authorities clarified that the embassy was actually never evacuated.

Earlier in the day, the Turkish media reported that police had evacuated the Iranian embassy in Ankara and cordoned off the street where the embassy is located on Monday after receiving intel that a suicide bombing plot was unfolding.

According to the earlier reports, the ambassador has been escorted from the embassy and protective measures had been taken.”

  14. Government Blocks Study into Radical Islam and Conversion in UK Jails (breitbart, Oct 15, 2018)
    https://www.breitbart.com/europe/2018/10/15/government-blocks-study-radical-islam-conversion-uk-jails/

“The Ministry of Justice has blocked a study examining why so many convicts and prisoners in the UK are converting to Islam and turning to extremism.

A so-called “corporate culture” in the government department was blamed for the move, with officials allegedly worried about what the academic study might unearth or reveal.

Many of the UK’s homegrown extremists have converted to Islam in jail, including the Westminster terrorist attacker Khalid Masood, with some prisons allegedly controlled by Islamic gangs and prisoners forced to covert for their own protection.

The proposed three-year study was supported by Max Hill, the independent reviewer of terrorism laws, but the prison service did not want outsiders studying such a sensitive area, The Times reports.

“The scale of radicalisation should not be overestimated but in certain prisons it is certainly growing,” a source told the newspaper.

Adding: “The corporate culture of the service is defensive and they will have been concerned about what this proposed project will discover.”

Others sources claimed that the study could have revealed that inmates are converting because of cultural pressure and to get better food and avoid gang violence.

Matthew Wilkinson, the principal investigator, said: “Prison governors want our independent research to discover what is actually happening on their prison wings; not what is feared or suspected to happen.”

The number of Muslim in jails in England and Wales has increased from 5,500 in June 2002 to 12,894 at the end of June this year.

Earlier this year, it was revealed that 228 inmates in Britain had been locked up for terrorist offences – with 82 percent of those being classed as holding Muslim views.

In late 2015, the Prison Officers Association (POA) found that a growing number of non-Muslims are being forced to pay a “protection” tax, or “jizya” unless they convert to Islam.

The former chief inspector of prisons Nick Hardwick later warned that Islamic extremists are increasingly using British jails to recruit inmates as potential terrorists.

The POA has admitted that there is a “real problem” with inmates being radicalised with prison sources adding that imams with extremist views were being allowed to preach in British prisons because of a “shambolic” vetting system.

Counter-extremism think tank Quilliam said at the time: “We are aware of several individuals employed by the prison service who have links to extremist groups.

“Prisons are incubators of extremism. Young men are going in petty criminals and coming out extremists.””

“A Moroccan man convicted of helping Mohamed Atta and the other Hamburg-based Sept. 11 suicide pilots as they plotted their attacks on New York and Washington was being deported Monday from Germany to his native country.

Mounir el Mottasadeq, who was convicted of membership in a terrorist organization and accessory to the murder of the 246 passengers and crew on the four jetliners used in the 2001 attacks, was flown by helicopter from a Hamburg prison on Monday morning.

Blindfolded and hands and ankles in shackles, the 44-year-old was then led by two police officers to another helicopter while other heavily armed police in balaclavas patrolled the area and watched from rooftops.

Authorities wouldn’t comment on the operation for security reasons.

“Mr. Motassadeq will leave the country soon,” Hamburg interior ministry spokesman Frank Reschreiter told The Associated Press. “All the necessary procedural steps for this have been ticked off according to plan.”

El Motassadeq was released shortly before serving all of his 15-year-sentence on the condition that he would agree to be deported to Morocco. That allows Germany the possibility of re-arresting him should he ever return.

    https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-6276499/Men-caught-spiking-drink-MDMA-forcing-woman-finish-sexually-assaulting-her.html

“Two men were caught laughing as they spiked alcohol in an off-license before forcing a woman to drink it then raping her.

Belal Ahmed, 24, and Mizad Miah, 24, picked up the 21-year-old woman and offered to show her around a flat she was interested in renting in Tower Hamlets, London.

The pair drove to a shop where they were captured on CCTV dropping MDMA into alcohol while their victim waited in the car.

Ahmed then sat next to the victim and forced her to drink the alcohol as he held her nose, before she lost consciousness and they raped her then dumped her at the side of the road in her underwear.

The pair, who both knew the victim, carried out the assault in Bethnal Green, Tower Hamlets, in November last year.

Shocking CCTV footage from the off-license shows Ahmed and Miah placing something into the alcohol and Ahmed shaking the bottle.

When she regained consciousness, the victim found herself sat on the side of the road with just her vest and underwear on with no recollection of how she got there, Snaresbrook Crown Court heard.

Miah and Ahmed laughed at the victim before they all then got back into the car.

Miah drove them around various car parks to retrieve items of the victim’s clothing which the pair had discarded during the sexual assaults.

She was eventually dropped off at around 3am the following morning in Tower Hamlets and made her way back to a friend’s house.

The victim reported the incident to police last November.

Toxicology results showed that MDMA, was placed in the alcohol which had caused her to pass out.

Both men were arrested at Gatwick Airport on 18 November 2017, having returned to the country after holidaying together in Morocco.

Miah, 24, from Tower Hamlets, was jailed for 13 years at Snaresbrook Crown Court on 12 October, after being found guilty of rape, administering a substance with intent to overpower to allow sexual activity, and assault by penetration.

Ahmed, 24, also from Tower Hamlets, was jailed for 11 years after being found guilty of administering a substance with intent to overpower to allow sexual activity, and assault by penetration.”

Muslim London: 423 new mosques, 100 Shariah courts

London —Britain has been acquiring an increasingly Islamic face, with hundreds of official Shariah courts operating in the capital and many mosques dotting many cities.

“London is more Islamic than many Muslim countries put together,” Maulana Syed Raza Rizvi, an Islamic preacher, was quoted as saying in the local media.

“Terrorists can not stand London’s multiculturalism”, London Mayor Sadiq Khan said after the deadly terror attack at Westminster last year.

There are 423 new mosques in London and most of these mosques are crowded at prayer times unlike many churches which rarely see visitors.

The Daily Mail published photographs of a church and a mosque a few meters from each other in the heart of London. At the Church of San Giorgio, designed to accommodate 1,230 worshipers, only 12 people gathered to celebrate Mass. At the Church of Santa Maria, there were 20

The nearby Brune Street Estate mosque has a different problem: overcrowding. Its small room can contain only 100.

By 2020, estimates are that the number of Muslims attending prayers will reach at least 683,000, while the number of Christians attending weekly Mass will drop to 679,000.

The best encyclopedia of the Left on the internet just got better.
    October 15, 2018
    Frontpagemag.com

The Freedom Center’s comprehensive and innovative online encyclopedia of the Left, DiscoverTheNetworks.org, has just completed an extensive revision and update. The new DTN is faster and easier to use, its contents more accessible and more pertinent to breaking news, its networks easier to visualize, and its look more appealing.

DTN now has a constantly updated “In The News” feature that uses its encyclopedic contents to add background context to the day’s latest stories. The new and more powerful search engine is front and center, as are a series of five select profiles on timely and trending topics and individuals. A search on a particular topic will bring up not only the entry on that subject but also a linked list of the “known connections” among other leftist organizations and individuals. For instance, a search for the anti-Israel terror group Hamas shows a total of 209 connected profiles including Jimmy Carter, Noam Chomsky, the Islamic Society of North America, and the Muslim Students Association.

For over a decade, DTN has been far and away the best resource for information about the left and how its organizations, individuals and causes collaborate in an assault on American institutions. The producers of Sean Hannity, Lauran Ingraham and other radio and TV shows have referenced it regularly, as have a variety of authors and journalists, legislators and policy makers, students and ordinary citizens anxious to understand the nature of the left and how its juggernaut operates in the political, cultural and social arenas.

  26. Jamal Khashoggi: The Media Fights for a Muslim Brotherhood Pal of Osama Bin Laden
The terrorist truth behind the media lies.

In high school, Jamal Khashoggi had a good friend. His name was Osama bin Laden.

“We were hoping to establish an Islamic state anywhere,” Khashoggi reminisced about their time together in the Muslim Brotherhood. “We believed that the first one would lead to another, and that would have a domino effect which could reverse the history of mankind.”

The friendship endured with Jamal Khashoggi following Osama bin Laden to Afghanistan. Khashoggi credited Adel Batterjee, listed at one time as one of “the world’s foremost terrorist financiers” by the Treasury Department, with bringing him to Afghanistan to report on the fighting.

The media calls Khashoggi a journalist, but his writings from 80s Afghanistan read as Jihadist propaganda with titles like, “Arab Mujahadeen in Afghanistan II: Exemplifies the Unity of Islamic Ummah”.

And when Osama bin Laden set up Al Qaeda, he called Khashoggi with the details.

Now the WaPoo is screaming that Saudi is guilty until proven innocent. WAPO: Saudi Arabia Should Prove It Didn’t Kill Our Terrorist
      October 14, 2018
      Daniel Greenfield

The media keeps rediscovering new standards for burden or proof.

It’s up to Brett Kavanaugh to prove that he didn’t rape whatever Dem activist came forward, at any possible time and place. Also it’s up to the Saudis to prove that they didn’t kill the Washington Post’s pet Muslim Brotherhood propagandist.

The Washington Post’s editorial page editor said Sunday that the “burden of proof is on Saudi Arabia” to prove what happened to Post columnist Jamal Khashoggi, who was last seen nearly two weeks ago entering the Saudi consulate in Istanbul.

“What we know for a fact is that he entered the Saudi consulate twelve days ago and he hasn’t come out. So all this talk about, ‘Oh, let’s have investigations and let’s wait for the facts to come out’ — no,” Fred Hiatt said on CNN’s “Reliable Sources.”

“The burden of proof is on Saudi Arabia, or should be, and that’s what President Trump should be saying. Jamal entered that consulate, he didn’t come out. Where is he?” Hiatt added.

      Disneyland?

The official media narrative is Made in Turkey. An Islamic terror state that locks up reporters for laughs and tortures political prisoners.

The Washington Post would like us to accept Turkey’s claims about Khashoggi as fact. And that puts Turkey (and Qatar) in charge of our foreign policy. Can we investigate collusion between the media, Turkey and Qatar?

      • Media Claims Facts About Khashoggi’s Terror Ties are “Conspiracy Theories”
        October 14, 2018
        Daniel Greenfield

The media’s current definition of a conspiracy theory is any fact that it doesn’t like. Its definition of a fact is any conspiracy theory that it agrees with.

President Trump being a Russian agent is a “fact”. While the fact that Jamal Khashoggi was tied to terrorist is a “conspiracy theory”.

This began with Don Jr. retweeting national security expert Patrick Poole. Poole had cited a propaganda piece by Khashoggi touting his old friend, Osama bin Laden.

And the media, which keeps lying and claiming that Muslim Brotherhood member Jamal Khashoggi is a martyr for secular free speech or something, scrambled to attack it by calling it a conspiracy theory.

Except that it’s the actual article that Khashoggi wrote. Poole put up an image of the actual article. How does one call that a conspiracy theory?

        Just watch CNN do it.

        • The real mystery isn’t Khashoggi’s disappearance. It’s why Republicans aren’t asking those questions.

The media’s relationship with Khashoggi is far more damning than anything the Saudis might have done to him. And the media should be held accountable for its relationship with Osama bin Laden’s old friend.
          …….

    Border Security is national security.

The preface of the official government report, 9/11 and Terrorist Travel began with the following paragraph:

It is perhaps obvious to state that terrorists cannot plan and carry out attacks in the United States if they are unable to enter the country. Yet prior to September 11, while there were efforts to enhance border security, no agency of the U.S. government thought of border security as a tool in the counterterrorism arsenal. Indeed, even after 19 hijackers demonstrated the relative ease of obtaining a U.S. visa and gaining admission into the United States, border security still is not considered a cornerstone of national security policy. We believe, for reasons we discuss in the following pages, that it must be made one.

That report was authored by the federal agents and attorneys who were assigned to the 9/11 Commission. The 9/11 Commission was created and tasked with conducting an exhaustive investigation into how the 9/11 terrorists were able to carry out the most deadly terror attack in the history of the United States.

  28. Christians Charged with ‘Inciting a Muslim to Change Religion’ in Algeria (breitbart, Oct 15, 2018)
    https://www.breitbart.com/national-security/2018/10/15/christians-charged-with-inciting-a-muslim-to-change-religion-in-algeria/

“Algerian authorities have set a court date to try five Christians accused of “inciting a Muslim to change his religion,” a criminal offence, and “performing religious worship in an unauthorized place.”

The five Christians have been ordered to appear in court in the province of Bouira, in Algeria’s Kabylie region, on Tuesday, November 6, to answer the charges against them.

The accusations against the Christians concern Algeria’s Law 03/2006, commonly known as Law 03/06, which governs non-Muslim worship.

The Christians will argue that the 03/06 law is itself unconstitutional, since it contravenes Article 42 of the Algerian constitution, which guarantees freedom of belief, opinion and worship.

Charges were brought against the Christians after a 40-year-old Muslim woman, whose husband had converted to Christianity, accused them of proselytism in July, 2018.

Together with other members of her family, the woman filed a complaint against her Christian husband and against a Christian family that had tried to mediate a conflict between her and her husband, accusing them of wanting to pressure her “to become a Christian.”

The woman alleges that the family took her to church tried to persuade her to leave Islam for the Christian faith.

Observers suggest that the trial of the five Christians forms part of a broader crackdown on the minority Christian community. Muslim authorities have closed six churches in the Maghreb country since November, 2017 – three of which were later reopened – as well as a Christian bookshop and day-care center. Dozens of other churches have received notifications ordering them to close.

The Algerian Christian community is requesting prayer for the four believers, that God will intervene to strengthen and support them.

The defendants were slated to appear at court on October 9, but the hearing was postponed to November 6.

In a separate case, authorities have charged a Christian from the eastern city of Tizi Ouzou, 29-year-old Idir Hamdad, with “illegal importation of Christian materials.” Hamdad, who works with the Église Protestante du Plein Évangile (the Full Gospel Protestant Church) had previously been tried and acquitted, but the prosecutor appealed the decision.

Hamdad, who was first arrested in April, 2016, when returning home after attending a workshop abroad, was accused of carrying items with Christian inscriptions – crucifixes, key rings and scarves — in his bag.

One of the greatest Christian saints, the fourth-century bishop of Hippo, Saint Augustine, was from north Africa and his diocese was located in present-day Algeria.

Algeria is now 99.75 percent Muslim, and 0.25 percent “other religions,” including the nation’s 100,000 Christians.”

  30. Prophet Mohammed slippers missing for 16 years: Pakistan top court orders probe

Shocked by the case of Prophet Mohammad’s slippers missing from Pakistan’s iconic royal mosque for 16 years and angered by inability of country’s law enforcement agencies to recover them, Chief Justice of Pakistan’s Supreme Court has formed a Joint Interrogation Team (JIT) to probe into the case.

“Chief Justice of Supreme Court has formed a JIT comprising of officials from Pakistan’s Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI), Military Intelligence and senior police officials to probe missing slippers of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH),” a press statement issued from Supreme Court stated on Sunday.

“We can’t even protect Prophet Muhammad’s slippers. What a shame,” Chief Justice Saqib Nisar remarked on Sunday. A pair of slippers, believed to have been used by Prophet Mohammad (PBUH), had gone missing from Pakistan’s Badshahi Mosque (royal mosque) on July 30, 2002.

Apparently, thieves picked up the sacred relic from a glass case inside the Pakistan’s Badshahi Mosque, which was built in 1673 during the Moghul period, where it had been on display. Dozens of pilgrims and visitors used to visit the site every day.

Venerated by Muslims worldwide, legend has it that the pair of slippers were first gifted to the emperor Tamerlane on the conquest of Damascus in 1400. Later, they were brought to the sub-continent, along with other relics, in the 16th century, during the early Moghul period.

The theft was first of its kind in Pakistan. The country’s law enforcement agencies had been investigating the case for more than a decade but they couldn’t make a breakthrough.

The government even announced a reward of Rs2 million ($15,384) for providing information about the incident but to no avail. Many in Pakistan believe that the theft was an inside job – with someone in authority ultimately being responsible for it.[…]

“Sources have told CNN today that Saudi Arabia is preparing a report admitting that journalist Jamal Khashoggi was killed during an interrogation gone wrong.

Mr Khashoggi, a columnist for the Washington Post, was last seen in public when he entered the Saudi consulate in Istanbul on October 2 (October 3, NZT).

The sources told CNN the report is still being finalised, and that it will likely say the interrogation was carried out without clearance and that the ones who did it will be held responsible.

Saudi Arabia has maintained that Mr Khashoggi left the consulate the same day he arrived, but has given to evidence to support that.

His fiancee Katice Cengiz was waiting outside, and says she did not see him come out.

US President Donald Trump earlier spoke with Saudi Arabia’s King Salman on the phone, later telling reporters that he gave a “flat denial” on the killing of the journalist.

Mr Trump said he thought “rogue killers” could be responsible for the journalist’s death.

“We are going to try to get to the bottom of it very soon,” he said.

Another source told CNN last week that Turkey has audio and visual evidence that Khashoggi was killed inside the consulate.”
