      • ““This woman filed a police report after a website would not publish her story,” he claimed “She came forward trying to get a story published in November about Stallone with an entertainment website. The woman claimed there was someone who could corroborate what happened. When questioned by the site, the person told a reporter that her claims were absolutely false. They said [the alleged victim] was always boasting about her relationship with Stallone.””

      • The intent is to isolate Trump. Anybody that displays friendly relations with Trump runs the risk of being slandered and will incur legal fees. Naturally, the woman has no money, thus it’s pointless to sue her.

        • Yup, look at the way people from the Trump Campaign are being forced to confess to process crimes (that probably weren’t committed) to avoid bankruptcy and Mueller going after their kids. If this is allowed to happen no one will be able to put together a team to oppose any deep state member standing for election.

    • Bail is suppose to be denied when there is a significant risk of the accused fleeing to avoid prosecution. This is a case of putting the man in jail before the trail to scare him and make him compose (make up lies) about things that the President is suppose to have done. Mueller and the Judge are both acting like Third World police and Judges, actions like this are why we need a second Special Counsel to investigate Mueller and his criminal actions.

    • FBI Agent Who Questioned Hillary for Email Probe Called Her ‘the President’—4 Months Before Election

(CNSNews.com) – One of the four FBI case agents working on the Hillary Clinton email investigation—who was also one of the two FBI agents who interviewed her at the conclusion of that investigation—triumphantly referred to Clinton as “the President” four days after that interview—and four months before the election.

Later, on election day, in an instant message exchange with another FBI agent who had also worked on the Clinton investigation, this FBI agent declared: “screw you trump.”

The other agent said in the same instant-message exchange: “You should know…that I’m…with her.”

These two FBI investigators who were in a “relationship” while they were working on the Clinton email investigation later were married.

The report released yesterday by the inspector general for the Department of Justice referred to these two FBI agents not by their names but as “Agent 1” and “Agent 5.”

Senior FBI official Peter Strzok says he didn’t arrange a cocktail party with a federal judge who serves on the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court, despite telling his mistress in a text message that he would.

Strzok suggested a “cocktail party” with U.S. District Judge Rudolph Contreras in a July 25, 2016, message to FBI attorney Lisa Page. Days later, on July 31, Strzok opened the FBI’s probe of possible Trump campaign collusion with Russia.

Strzok told the Justice Department inspector general’s office that his messages regarding the judge dealt with no particular case and that the social gathering didn’t happen, according to a report released Thursday on the FBI’s Hillary Clinton email investigation.

    • The really big, central question the DOJ IG remarkably failed to ask of an anti-Trump FBI attorney
      By J.E. Dyer June 15, 2018

The fame of FBI “Attorney 2” grows, as Americans get a load of the text message exchanges he had with other FBI employees in the days after the November 2016 election. (Attorney 2 is referred to as a male in the DOJ IG report, so we know that much about him.)

The screen caps of the exchanges included in the report are below, if you need a refresher. Attorney 2 is the fellow who proclaimed himself “numb” after the election results came in; alluded cryptically to the FBI “breaking the momentum” of something in the election campaign (Hillary’s momentum heading to the finish line? Trump’s?); and – later in November – said of the prospect of working for the Trump administration: “Vive le [sic] resistance.” The latter text is what got him fired from the Mueller team in 2018.

Representative Jim Jordan (R-OH) has already posted the question on many minds

  2. Saudi-led forces seize airport in Yemen port city of Hodeida (abcnews, Jun 16, 2018)
    https://abcnews.go.com/International/wireStory/saudi-led-forces-seize-airport-yemen-port-city-55939415

“Saudi-led forces heading an assault on Yemen’s rebel-held port city of Hodeida seized control of its international airport Saturday, officials loyal to Yemen’s exiled government said, as fierce fighting continued for the starving nation’s main gateway for food shipments.

Engineers worked to clear mines from areas around Hodeida International Airport, just south of the city of some 600,000 people on the Red Sea, the military of Yemen’s exiled government said.

“The armed forces which are supported by the Arab coalition have freed the al-Hodeida International Airport from the Houthi militias and the engineering teams have started to clean the airport and its surroundings from mines and bombs,” the military said on its official Twitter account.

Other government officials and witnesses later said coalition forces had not yet fully taken control of the airport. They said fighting was heavy just outside the airport gates.

Sadek Dawad, spokesman of the Republican Guards force loyal to the Saudis, said government forces had battled onto the airport grounds.

Dawad also said the southern gate of Hodeida city was captured by pro-coalition forces.

“The military operations to liberate the city of Hodeida will not be stopped until we secure the city and its strategic port and that won’t last too long,” he told The Associated Press.

Yemen’s Shiite rebels known as Houthis, who hold the country’s capital of Sanaa, did not immediately acknowledge losing the airport.

The Houthi-run Al Masirah satellite news channel aired footage it described as being from near Hodeida showing a burned-out truck, corpses of irregular fighters and a damaged Emirati armored vehicle. The Iranian-aligned fighters rifled through a military ledger from the vehicle before chanting their slogan: “Death to America, death to Israel, damn the Jews, victory to Islam!”

Yemeni officials and witnesses said forces from the United Arab Emirates-backed Amaleqa brigades, backed by air cover from the Saudi-led coalition, were heading to eastern Hodeida province to attempt to cut off the main road that links it with the capital, Sanaa.

The officials said if government forces capture the Kilo 16 Road they will trap the rebels in Hodeida and the western coast and prevent them from receiving supplies from the capital. The rebels are then expected to have no choice but to head to the northern province of Hajjah.

The officials spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to brief media and the witnesses for fear of reprisals.

The Norwegian Refugee Council said humanitarian agencies cannot reach the southern part of Hodeida as fighting escalated. It said in a statement that heavy airstrikes by the Saudi-led coalition have moved confrontations lines deeper in the south.

  3. Spain saves 825 migrants, prepares to receive Aquarius boat (abcnews, Jun 16, 2018)
    https://abcnews.go.com/International/wireStory/spain-saves-825-migrants-prepares-receive-aquarius-boat-55941479

“Spain’s maritime rescue service says it has saved 825 people and recovered four bodies from dozens of migrant boats attempting the perilous crossing of the Mediterranean Sea over the past two days.

The service says it pulled the migrants from a total of 69 different boats its rescue craft intercepted throughout Friday and Saturday morning after they departed from African shores.

The spike in arrivals comes as Spain prepares to receive another 630 migrants after Italy and Malta refused to let the aid boat Aquarius land earlier this week. The Aquarius and two Italian ships carrying the migrants are expected to arrive at the eastern port of Valencia on Sunday.

At least 792 migrants have died crossing the Mediterranean so far this year, according to the United Nations.”

  4. Disputed policies on migrants are the top threat to EU unity (abcnews, Jun 16, 2018)
    https://abcnews.go.com/International/wireStory/disputed-policies-migrants-top-threat-eu-unity-55940273

“Forget Brexit or a looming trans-Atlantic trade war. The diplomatic spat this week between Italy, Malta and France over who should take responsibility for more than 600 people rescued at sea shows that the biggest challenge Europe faces today is migration.

It’s not about the hundreds of thousands of people who arrived across the Mediterranean in recent years — many in perilous sea crossings like those aboard the rescue ship Aquarius — seeking better or safer lives. Turkey has welcomed more. Tiny Lebanon and struggling Jordan handle almost two million refugees between them.

The crisis threatening the very existence of the European Union is the enemy within: the inability of the 28 states that make up the world’s biggest trading bloc to manage those migrant arrivals collectively.

Asylum reform is stranded on the rocks of national interests. The questions of who should take responsibility for those arriving — and whether there should be a quota system for European countries to share refugees — are fiercely disputed.

Long-suffering EU nations like Italy and Greece, where most sea migrants enter, feel abandoned by other EU nations.

In response, some European countries have deployed troops, erected border fences or temporarily reintroduced ID checks, undermining Europe’s wide-ranging passport-free travel area. Others have welcomed the migrants in.

Those acting alone have mostly angered their neighbors by passing the problem on. Mutual trust between nations in the bloc has evaporated.

Anti-migrant parties have exploited the chaos, winning votes as they foment fear of foreigners.

“As long as we keep refusing the idea that we have a collective problem that can only be tackled with collective solutions — as long as we don’t see that — we will not find a solution,” European Commission Vice-President Frans Timmermans warned. “We will fail collectively.”

EU nations are now flirting with that collective failure, struggling to reform the bloc’s asylum rules known as the Dublin Regulation. It’s a pillar of Europe’s passport-free travel area. Failure to fix Dublin could sound the death knell for check-free travel and easy cross-border business across Europe — the two crowning achievements of the bloc.

For two years, EU governments have battled without success to fix Dublin’s biggest contradiction: that migrants must seek protection in the first European country they arrive in. With most migrants entering the Europe via Turkey or Libya, that chiefly means Mediterranean countries like Greece and Italy.

That rule was part of this week’s dispute over the Aquarius, a rescue ship carrying 629 people including pregnant women and children who were saved off the Libyan coast.

Italy, which controls Mediterranean rescue operations, halted the in-bound ship, claiming that the small EU island of Malta was closer and should take responsibility.

French President Emmanuel Macron waded in, accusing Italy of cynical, irresponsible behavior. The new populist government in Rome found this hard to swallow, given that French border police have been routinely blocking thousands of migrants who try to leave Italy, upholding the EU’s flawed asylum rules.

Spain’s new center-left government came to the rescue, offering the boat safe harbor in Valencia.

“This is not something that Malta, Italy, Greece or Spain should be left alone to deal with. Countries not in the Mediterranean cannot try to use geography to exonerate themselves from responsibility,” Roberta Metsola, a leading EU lawmaker on migration, told The Associated Press.

So sensitive is the topic that the EU’s Bulgarian presidency has spent months supervising closed-door lower-level talks to find a compromise — but the problem is eminently political, not technical.

Hungary and Poland have refused to take in refugees, and other nations barely contributed in the EU’s earlier failed attempt to share the refugee burden.

The problem has put strong domestic political pressure on German Chancellor Angela Merkel — who in 2015 refused to close Germany’s door to migrants, many fleeing conflict in Syria and Iraq. Interior Minister Horst Seehofer now wants to turn away refugees registered elsewhere.

Austria and Denmark, meanwhile, are championing the idea of setting up migrant camps outside western Europe, in the neighboring Balkans. Elizabeth Collett, the director of Migration Policy Institute Europe, says such plans are a sign of desperate times.

“These ideas … look good on paper, but it has been hard to identify a non-EU country willing to be a ‘vassal state’ in this way, or design a system that would actually function,” she said. “What has changed now is the amount of political desperation involved in pursuing these ideas. Countries are willing to put more on the table — that is, pay third countries more — and are less concerned about how well they function.”

EU leaders had ordered a solution to be found by this month. With none in sight, Merkel and her colleagues are forced to grasp the migration nettle again at their June 28-29 summit. A new populist government from Italy in their midst — one whose interior minister has vowed to deport tens of thousands of migrants as soon as he can — will make any compromise on migration even more difficult.

“Europe can be the example to everyone on this issue but we have to see real political will to move away from fiery rhetoric to taking tough decisions,” Metsola said. “The ball is in the (leaders’) court now. The world is watching.””

“German Chancellor Angela Merkel is insisting that migration is “a European challenge that needs a European answer” amid a dispute over the issue inside her government and ahead of a meeting with French President Emmanuel Macron.

Merkel is locked in a standoff with her interior minister, Horst Seehofer, over his demand for some asylum-seekers to be turned back at the border. Merkel opposes unilateral action, arguing that it would weaken the European Union.

In her weekly video message Saturday, Merkel named migration as one of four major challenges to be addressed by German and French leaders when she meets Macron in Germany on Tuesday along with ministers from both governments.

Other issues included foreign and defense policy and the future of the euro currency zone.”

“A senior Pakistani police official says gunmen riding on motorcycles have opened fire on a vehicle carrying paramilitary soldiers in the country’s southwestern city of Quetta, killing three troops before fleeing.

Officer Naseeb Ullah says Saturday’s attack took place in the city’s Saryab Road neighborhood when residents were celebrating the three-day Eid al-Fitr holiday. No one claimed responsibility for the attack and Ullah says police transported the bodies to a nearby hospital.

Quetta is the capital of Baluchistan and has been the scene of a low-level insurgency by Baluch separatist groups, who demand a greater share of the province’s resources.

Islamic militant groups also operate there and often target security forces.

Also late Friday, militants killed three Pakistani soldiers in a cross-border attack in the North Waziristan region bordering Afghanistan.”

  6. ‘DISEASE X’ FEARS Terrifying new strain of bird flu that kills over a THIRD of those who contract it discovered in China amid fears of new global pandemic

The newly formed virus, named H7N9, has killed over 600 people in China

A NEW strain of deadly bird flu which kills 38 per cent of those infected and could spark a global pandemic has been identified in China.

Scientists around the world believe the new pathogen, dubbed “Disease X”, could be as lethal as 1918 Spanish flu which killed up to 100million people.

Professor Jonathan Van-Tam, deputy chief medical officer for England, told The Telegraph that virus H7N9, which is circulating poultry in China, could cause a global outbreak.

He said: “[H7N9] is an example of another virus which has proven its ability to transmit from birds to humans.

“It’s possible that it could be the cause of the next pandemic.”

In China, the deadly pathogen has killed 623 of the 1,625 people which have been infected.

    https://sputniknews.com/middleeast/201806161065467066-al-tanf-chemical-provocation-prep-reports/

“Syrian Human Rights Network head Ahmad Kazem has told Sputnik that US intelligence was preparing a provocation involving chemical weapons near al-Tanf, Syria, and that its purpose will be to drive a wedge between Damascus and Syria’s Kurds.

“Right now [at At Tanf] preparations are being made by US special services in coordination with Daesh (ISIS)* in the region to stage a provocation identical to the kind that took place in Douma,” Kazem said. “Kurds, including women and children, are being prepared for the false flag operation,” he added.

Kazem thinks there is an ‘extremely strong’ probability for the provocation to be carried out. “It is being prepared with the goal of causing a collision between the Kurds and the Syrian army,” he said.

On Monday, Russian Defense Ministry spokesman Igor Konashenkov said that the ministry has received information from numerous sources that Free Syrian Army militants and US special operations forces were preparing a false flag attack involving the use of poisonous substances in the eastern Syrian region of Deir ez-Zor…”

      • It is choke point for the transportation of equipment and supplies, Putin/Assad needs it, Jordan needs to keep Iran and ISIS out. The only thing is I question if the Trump controlled Pentagon and CIA would approve an action like this? But there is the possibility that some Deep State actors are doing this to make Trump look bad.

I hate it when we can’t rust our own government.

        • It’s not Putin/Assad.

          • • •Iran: The land-bridge has not been conceded.

It’s the statement we must make here. The fighting is over; it’s a position we hold now that we do not relinquish. Maybe Manbij will be our stand vis-a-vis the Turk, that’s not clear yet.

As far as I know Mattis hasn’t replaced 0’s man, Brett McGurk. I absolutely don’t trust him. [Tweeting congratulations to the PMF?!]. Too many dubious political-military officers remain in place. That’s on Mattis.

          • • •Jordan is helpless. So precarious domestically, it’s on intensive care. Infusions of cash and elimination of extra stress. Even if it’s one American soldier sitting under our flag at al-Tanf, it matters.

This is way too close. A stretch of desert with a highway. We can’t have PMF “youths” flying IED-laden kites over our facilities.

If Deep State sabotages this position, it’s an egregious tactical blunder. We’ll end up having to retrieve it at some cost:

          – -A false flag op, which diminishes our credibility no matter how much goo we slather on it;

          – -or (((somebody else))) does something or other. That’s probably the worst option, for the same reason Bush told Israel to sit passively (holding gas-masks) while Scuds rained down during the Gulf War.

According to the Passauer Neue Presse, a total of 18, 300 asylum applications have been registered since January in the European Dactyloscopy (EURODAC) database. The number of applications that have been submitted during the same period last year amounted to 90,400, the newspaper added.

The so-called open-door policy, initiated by German Chancellor Angela Merkel, has prompted criticism from a number of political parties and movements that oppose migration. 10. Promoting diversity? Teacher wears full face Muslim veil, reads from Koran in Swiss school (RT, Jun 16, 2018)
    https://www.rt.com/news/429949-switzerland-teacher-niqab-koran/

“A teacher in Switzerland has made headlines after wearing a full face veil and reading passages from the Koran out loud during a lesson on Islam, local media reports. The stunt was apparently aimed at promoting diversity.

“She [the teacher] came into class completely veiled without warning and started reading lines from [the] Koran out loud”, students from a vocational school in the Swiss capital told local 20 Minuten newspaper.

Though nobody is said to have left the class, the extraordinary move raised a few eyebrows. Some of the students claimed later that “it did not belong in a classroom,” the news outlet reports.

The video released by 20 Minuten claims to show the teacher in question wearing a niqab – a Muslim face-covering veil – reading passages from the Koran. Some of the words are bleeped out. The teacher, however, is not a Muslim and reportedly bought the niqab during a vacation in Egypt.

The school administration backed the lesson as promoting diversity. The teacher was discussing the book ‘The Kite Runner’ by Afghan-American author Khaled Hosseini. Set in the late 1970s, the book tells the story of the fall of Afghanistan’s monarchy and the rise of the Taliban.

“Individual aspects were discussed in class, such as the history of Afghanistan or the Taliban,” Daniel Hurter, the deputy director of the school, said. “[This] Thursday [the class] was about Islam.” He even claimed students were “happy” with how the subject was presented.

The ‘Koran teaching’ lesson has nevertheless sparked controversy outside the walls of the school. Stefan Wittwer, from a local union of education facilities, said that if the teacher presented the topic without context, it would not be appropriate. He added that “realistic teaching is a good thing.”

Local politician Irene Kalin said the approach was “insensitive” and that it would have been better if the teacher had invited a Muslim woman to read the Koran.

Another politician, Matthias Aebischer, echoed her statement, saying the teacher should have just taken the niqab to class and shown it without wearing it. “To discuss Buddhism, she probably wouldn’t come and meditate in a monk’s robe.”

Around 350,000 of Switzerland’s population of 8.3 million are Muslim. In December 2017, Swiss authorities rejected a campaign sponsored by the Swiss People’s Party (SVP) calling for a nationwide ban on face veils. The federal government referred the issue to individual cantons. It noted that Ticino and St. Gallen cantons opted for a ban, while the others were opposed.

Legislation banning full face veils has been adopted by a number of European countries, while in several others, laws are currently under consideration. France was the first EU country to ban Islamic face veils in public places in 2010, citing security reasons.

Earlier in June, the upper house of the Dutch Parliament finally put to a vote a controversial bill banning face veils in public places, including public transport and schools.”

  12. Argentine Peso Resumes Plunge After Central Bank Shakeup
    By Rita Nazareth
    , Carolina Millan
    , and Patrick Gillespie

The Argentine peso resumed its slide to a historic low as a major shakeup that put a former Wall Street trader at the helm of the nation’s central bank failed to curb the currency’s massive volatility.

Investors initially cheered the fact that Luis Caputo, who held roles at JPMorgan Chase & Co. and Deutsche Bank, will take over the post following Federico Sturzenegger’s surprise resignation. All that enthusiasm sent the peso up more than 4 percent in the first hour of trading Friday, before a reality check kicked in — sinking the currency to an all-time low. The yield on Argentina’s 100-year bond jumped to a record 9 percent.

A dispute in Merkel’s coalition over migration policy has escalated into one of the biggest tests of her chancellorship, while the populist government that took over in Italy this month has blocked refugee vessels from entering Italian ports.

Getting all of the EU states on board for an overhaul of asylum practices and rules is “in my view one of the most decisive issues for European unity,” the Christian Democrat chancellor said. The inflow of migrants is “a European challenge that requires a European answer.”

Read more: Merkel Risks Crisis in Refugee Clash With Allies

As the domestic storm unfolded this week, Merkel remained insistent that the EU-28 can only solve migration challenges as a group. That’s fomented a deep rift between her CDU and its Christian Social Union allies, who claim they have national and EU authorization to start turning away refugees arriving on Germany’s borders who first claimed asylum in other EU states.

A European solution “doesn’t convince me,” said Bavaria’s Prime Minister Markus Soeder in a June 14 Bild Zeitung interview. The move would mean “the majority of asylum seekers who come to Europe make their way to Germany.”

Earlier this week while most of the world was transfixed on the World Cup, the Trump/Kim handshake, or a multitude of other sundry events, Julius Malema, aka the Hitler of South Africa, was busy telling white people in his country that he’s not going wage genocide against them. Yet.

In an interview with TRT World News published this week, Malema said, “We have not called for the killing of white people. At least for now. I can’t guarantee the future.”

When the reporter mentioned that some people might view these remarks as a call to genocide, Malema responded, “Crybabies. Crybabies,” but later warned white South Africans that “the masses are on board” for “an un-led revolution and anarchy”.

  15. The U.S. Announces its Intent to Leave the United Nation’s Human Rights Council

The U.S. is pulling its membership from the United Nation’s Human Rights Council, and cites alleged discrimination against Israel, one of America’s allies.

The U.S. Ambassador to the UN, Nikki Haley, announced the decision this week following previous disputes with the organization over what she calls, “chronic anti-Israel bias,” according to new reports.

Most recently, the Ambassador was one of the few representatives opposing a measure which requested an official investigation into allegations accusing Israel of excessive force.

In December, Haley chastised members of the group for voting in favor of a proposed measure which would have condemned President Trump, regarding his move of the U.S. embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem.

“The United States will remember in which it was singled-out for attack in the General Assembly, for the very act of expressing our right as a sovereign nation,” she said last year, regarding the President’s relocation of the U.S. embassy.

As the agency’s largest contributor, the U.S. pays more to the UN than any other participating member State, which Haley used as ammunition as she called for revisions to the body.

  16. Major fire ravages celebrated Glasgow School of Art for second time

GLASGOW, Scotland (Reuters) – A major fire has torn through one of Scotland’s architectural gems, the Mackintosh building at the Glasgow School of Art, for the second time in four years.

More than 120 firefighters fought the blaze during the night as it gutted the 1909 building and spread to a theater and a nearby night club. No casualties were reported.

“The extent of the damage is very severe,” Peter Heath, deputy assistant chief officer of the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service, told reporters at the scene in Glasgow city center on Saturday morning.

He said the fire had “reached from the ground floor right through to the roof”.

The Mackintosh building had been due to re-open next year after millions of pounds in restoration works following a fire in May 2014.

“This is a devastating loss for Glasgow, absolutely devastating,” Heath said.

  17. Nicaragua’s Ortega agrees to halt violence, allow foreign probe

MANAGUA (Reuters) – The Nicaraguan government and civic groups on Friday agreed to halt all violence, in a major step to end two months of political unrest that has left 170 dead and rocked the government of President Daniel Ortega.

Ortega, however, did not address a call by Catholic church mediators to allow for early elections next year to defuse the gravest political crisis since the country ended a U.S.-fueled civil war in 1990. His third consecutive presidential term is scheduled to end in 2021.

“The end of all violence is a basic necessity. Nicaraguans don’t need any more violence,” Foreign Minister Denis Moncada, who is the head government negotiator, told reporters.

Both sides will resume talks on Saturday to address the Church’s proposal to anticipate general elections and implement political reforms.

The protests that began on April 18 have also left hundreds injured and ground the economy of the impoverished Central American nation to a halt.

  18. Newscast that devotes segment to rise in racism omits one of its own stories that fits the pattern
By Howard Portnoy June 16, 2018

Last night WNBC in New York ran a story noting that police are hunting for the perpetrator of what is described as an “apparent bias attack” that took place on the streets of Manhattan two weeks ago. Judging from the details of the story, which follow, the adjective apparent is an unnecessary equivocation. The villain in the attack was a black woman, her victim white. The two were walking down the same street in opposite directions when the black woman swung the metal case she was carrying and struck the white woman in the face, screaming “White bitch, take that!” The assailant, whose likeness was captured by a surveillance camera, walked off after the attack. The injured woman was treated at an area hospital for a gash on her face and released.

    https://sputniknews.com/europe/201806161065469812-nelgium-eu-migration/

“Belgian state secretary for asylum policy and migration, Theo Francken, suggested on Saturday that Europe should only take in those asylum seekers from conflict zones which were processed at UN camps, to tackle irregular immigration and help only those in need.

“[Europe] should take in more real refugees through United Nations High Commissioner [for Refugees UNHCR] programs on resettlement of refugees from camps in conflict zones. And, it has been already in place. The United Nations itself selects these refugees,” Francken said, as broadcast by the RTL broadcaster.

Francken stressed that irregular immigration must stop, and those who did not meet the required criteria should be stripped of the right to asylum.

“Aside from 15 percent who support open borders, the support of a majority of the population is melting like snow in the sun. These people are not racists, [in contrast] they think rationally,” he concluded.

Francken is known for his tough rhetoric on immigration. Back in 2015, he faced sharp criticism over his statement that migrants have enough money to pay for hotel rooms. The politician referred to huge sums that migrants pay to reach the continent.

European countries have been experiencing a severe migration crisis since 2015 due to the influx of thousands of migrants and refugees fleeing hostilities in their home countries in the Middle East and North Africa.”

By Thomas Madison June 16, 2018

Washington, D.C. has always been a cesspool of immorality, but the revelations that are coming to the surface today are shocking, even by “cesspool of immorality” standards.

There was always one organization, the reputation of which was heretofore considered so unimpeachable that the trustworthiness and integrity of that organization were never questioned.

However, since James Comey, erstwhile director of that organization (the FBI) and Barack Obama fell into one another’s arms, Washington has been an orgy of corruption at the highest levels, with the FBI running interference on one hand, as in the stonewalling of the Hillary Clinton investigation and her eventual exoneration, and acting as enforcer on the other hand, prosecuting the enemies of their pals (the prosecutor who petitioned to put Paul Manafort in prison attended Hillary Clinton’s Election Night party).

  22. FBI officials thought Hillary Clinton was a huge liar, but let her off the hook anyway
By Daily Caller News Foundation June 15, 2018

The FBI officials who interviewed Hillary Clinton about her use of a private email server found some of her claims “hard to impossible to believe,” according to the Department of Justice’s inspector general’s.

Clinton repeatedly claimed ignorance when pressed by FBI agents in a July 2016 interview about receiving multiple emails with a “(C)” classification marker, according to the IG’s report on the FBI’s investigation of Clinton’s private server. She said she did not know that the marker denoted classified information and “speculated it was a reference to paragraphs ranked in alphabetical order.”

The unidentified agent who took the lead in questioning Clinton about her private server stated, “I filed that in the bucket of hard to impossible to believe.”

The other FBI agents present during the interview with Clinton were shocked at how “technically illiterate” she was, according to former FBI Director James Comey.

At least 7 pedestrians injured by taxi near Red Square

MOSCOW (AP) — Police in Moscow say at least seven people have been injured when a taxi crashed into pedestrians on a sidewalk near Red Square.

Police say the driver in the crash Saturday has been detained. Preliminary information indicated the driver lost control of the vehicle.

There were no immediate details on the severity of the pedestrians’ injuries. Police initially said eight were injured, but later said seven had sought medical attention.

The agency that monitors Moscow’s traffic safety said the driver is a citizen of the former Soviet republic of Kyrgyzstan who told police that the crash was not intentional. The accident took place on Ilinka Street, about 200 meters (650 feet) from Red Square and Moscow’s famous GUM shopping arcade.

The Democrats, the media, RINOs, and the bureaucratic swamp have tried everything to subvert the presidency of Donald Trump. They’ve failed at every turn.

They don’t get it. People who voted for Trump were not following a cult leader. Trump voters were trying to get out from under a political cult that was comprised of Democrats and Republicans. We’ve had a political cult in the United States for generations. Roosevelt and the Kennedys had and have their cult followers.

These Cults of personality are why the FBI and DOJ people broke the law at the orders of the demi-god Obama to ensure the election of the demi-god Hillary. The Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union fought to prevent such cults but the always arise in the Marxist controlled nations. 26. Italy demands Netherlands recall NGO migrant rescue ships

Italy on Saturday demanded that the Netherlands recall two Dutch-flagged migrant rescue ships after one of the non-government organizations that operate them called the interior minister a fascist.

A heated exchange erupted after Italy’s interior minister, Matteo Salvini, told more foreign non-government organizations operating migrant rescue ships in the Mediterranean they could not dock in Italian ports.

Salvini, who is also leader of the right-wing League and deputy prime minister, posted remarks on Facebook and Twitter in an escalating row with NGOs as one ship, the Aquarius, headed to Spain after being banned from Italian ports.

Salvini has vowed to continue to block foreign humanitarian boats from Italian ports as Europe wrestles with how to share the responsibility of handling migrants trying to enter the EU from war zones and poor countries, largely across Africa and the Middle East.

Salvini, who has emerged as the most outspoken member of Italy’s two-week-old government, said on Facebook that two other foreign NGO ships, the Lifeline and the Seefuchs, were off the coast of Libya waiting to pick up migrants abandoned by human traffickers.

“They should know that Italy no longer wants to be an accomplice in the business of illegal immigration and therefore they will have to aim for other, non-Italian, ports,” Salvini said. Both ships fly Dutch flags.

Italy says humanitarian NGOs are being exploited by human traffickers, a charge the NGOs deny. Rome says only migrants rescued by Italian ships can be brought to Italian ports.

Following Salvini’s Facebook post, one of the NGOs, Mission Lifeline, tweeted in German “When fascists promote us …”

An irritated Salvini tweeted back, saying “insults and threats will not stop us” and that Italians would run their own country.

Hours later, Transport Minister Danilo Toninelli said on Twitter that “Holland should make them come home,” saying the rescue missions were in violation of codes of conduct because they did not have adequate means or personnel and could endanger lives.

Mission Lifeline tweeted that they are “in full respect” of conduct codes.

Demonstrators at a march in Rome for labor rights showed solidarity with the migrants, holding up placards such one calling on the government to “Open the ports and the wallets”.

The exchange of barbs took place a day after Italy and France tried to bury the hatchet following a diplomatic squabble over Rome’s refusal to accept the Aquarius.

The ship was off the coast of the Spanish island of Majorca on Saturday morning and was expected to arrive in Valencia on Sunday. It originally carried 629 migrants but some were later moved onto two Italian vessels escorting it to Spain.

Meanwhile, a poll published in Italy’s Corriere della Sera newspaper showed that 59 percent of Italians agreed with the government’s decision to block non-Italian ships, saying it would discourage human traffickers from trying to smuggle migrants in the first place.

It showed that 68 percent of Italians feel Salvini has done well to “raise his voice” because in this way the rest of Europe would take heed of Italy’s worry that it could become what he has called “one big refugee camp”.

More than 1.8 million migrants have arrived in Europe since 2014, and Italy is now sheltering more than 170,000 asylum seekers, as well as an estimated 500,000 unregistered migrants.

A European Union summit will discuss the bloc’s asylum rules at the end of the month.

    https://www.gatestoneinstitute.org/12515/diplomatic-big-bang

The Singapore summit is indeed historic. First, it is so because just a few weeks ago we were closer to a nuclear war than to even the semblance of a peace process. The way we got here is surprising, because it did not obey the usual rules.

A few days ago, during the G7 summit held in Canada, US President Donald Trump upheld his decisions on tariffs and his positions on the trade deficit. These stances followed his decision to pull out of the Paris climate change agreement and the Iranian “nuclear deal”. It is clear that the new US administration challenged the alliances inherited from the Cold War. President Trump, a businessman, not a politician — one of the reasons he was elected — is asking America’s trading partners just to have “free, fair and reciprocal” agreements. It is probably not all that unusual to feel affronted when asked for money or to regard the person asking for it as mercenary or adversarial. It does not always mean that this feeling is justified.

  28. June 15, 1389: Islam Enters and Conquers Eastern Europe

Editor’s note: The following account is partially excerpted from the author’s new book, Sword and Scimitar: Fourteen Centuries of War between Islam and the West (with a foreword by Victor Davis Hanson).

    —————————-

Why Eastern Europeans are much more reluctant to accept Muslim migrants than their Western counterparts can be traced back to circumstances surrounding a pivotal battle that took place today, June 15, in the year 1389. The Battle of Kosovo raged between Muslim invaders and Eastern European defenders, or the ancestors of those many Eastern Europeans today vociferously hostile to Islam.

Because the jihad is as old as Islam, it has been championed by diverse peoples (Arabs in the Middle East, Moors — Berbers and Africans — in Spain and Western Europe, etc.). Islam’s successful entry into Eastern Europe was spearheaded by the Turks, specifically that tribe centered in westernmost Anatolia (or Asia Minor) and thus nearest to Europe — the Ottoman Turks, so-named after their founder Osman Bey. As he lay dying in 1323, his parting words to his son and successor, Orhan, were for him “to propagate Islam by yours arms.”

  29. Blumenthal: Dems need to ‘shame’ America into descending into complete lawlessness on the border
Neil Munro, Breitbart June 15, 2018

[Ed. (J.E.) – That’s the effect of what he demands. The Democrats don’t offer any plan to replace the current situation — which they have shaped by refusing to adequately fund family detention centers, so that more illegal migrants can be processed lawfully without having to separate children from male inmates. The Democrats just want to have all the illegals who can find a child to cross the border with released without supervision into the U.S. population. They will always characterize anything less than that as inhumane. They will also refuse to compromise and let U.S. immigration and border security laws be enforced. Their position is utterly opposed to the rule of law, and would destroy the basis of American life. It is unacceptable. More than that, it is vicious.]

Democrats Launch ‘Shame Campaign’ on Border Patrol

Democrats must shame Republicans into ending the separation of migrants and their children at the border, Connecticut Sen. Richard Blumenthal says.

“We should be very blunt: The biggest tool we have is shame,” the Senator said at a press conference on Capitol Hill.

We need to shame this administration into changing an inhumane, un-American policy because it is totally unprecedented … It is not required by law, it is unprecedented in recent history — it was not done under the previous administration — [and] it is creating thousands of detainees.

Blumenthal and other Democratic legislators at the press event cited their own children, and the impending Fathers’ Day celebrations, to guilt GOP leaders and blue-collar voters to reopen the migration into the voters’ neighborhoods and schools.

“I’m hoping on Fathers Day that Donald Trump will think about what it means to be a dad and to care about a young child who is ripped away from his parents, who has no ideas where he is going,” Blumenthal said. “Ripping apart families, separating kids from parents … is un-American because we will reap the whirlwind of the damage we are creating,” he said.

Blumenthal is an Ivy League graduate with an estimated net worth of $85 million. He has an expensive home in Greenwich, Connecticut.

    • The left has managed to flood Europe with illegal aliens that have brought the European nations to the brink of collapse. They are now trying to do the same thing to the US with the Illegals from all around the world, they are going to resist all efforts to build the wall on our southern border while attempting to force the US go let all of the illegals into the US. The purpose of this is to create so much chaos in all Western Nations that the governments can’t work. What they are forgetting is that President Trump is not a push over like the previous Republican Presidents and that he isn’t afraid of the Dems or any shame they try to use. What the Dems are ignoring is that Trump was elected (partially) because of his promise to stop the massive influx of illegals into the US.

While the FBI was investigating Hillary Clinton’s secret server where she kept official emails out of the view of the authorities until her lawyers could scrub them, for some reason, agents never searched the Blackberries or other email devices belonging to her inner circle at the State Department.

Department of Justice Inspector General Michael Horowitz and his team received a crazy response when they asked FBI agents on the Hillary Clinton email investigation why not.

The agents’ primary excuse was to point to “the culture of mishandling classified information at the State Department which made the quantity of potential sources of evidence particularly vast” (see page 153).
