  1. Horror as 1,000-strong mob attacks CHURCH forcing Christians to lock themselves inside (express, Nov 18, 2017)

“CHRISTIANS were forced to lock the doors of their church for their own safety as a furious mob launched an attack on the building as tensions continue to soar in Egypt.

More than 1,000 people gathered outside a recently-renovated Coptic church in Mina, Egypt, to intimidate and threaten those inside.

Police were called on October 26 and the doors of the Saint George Church, as well as the on-site children’s nursery, was bolted shut for defence.

Despite the aggression of the crowd, it was the Copts who were held responsible for the incident.

The heads of the Coptic congregation in the area were forced into attending a peace meeting, which aimed to stop the conflict between the group and the local Muslim community.

A source close to the church said: “Copts had to agree to the reconciliation that will be held this evening in the village hall. A written agreement was presented that indicated a framework of friendliness, love and brotherhood.

“A reconciliation and waiver of all records between the two sides must be signed, including a ‘non-provoke crisis’ clause.”

The “non-provoke clause” is particularly controversial, with critics saying it backs up attempts to close down the Coptic churches by sinister means…”

  2. Sri Lankan police arrest 19 over racial violence (abnews,Nov 18, 2017)

“Sri Lankan police said Saturday that 19 people were arrested following racial violence in the country’s south that started over a dispute between majority Buddhists and minority Muslims.

Police spokesman Ruwan Gunasekara said four people were injured in attacks that took place Friday night in areas surrounding the southern town of Galle. Homes, shops and vehicles were damaged in the violence, though the extent of the damage was not immediately known.

A curfew imposed overnight was lifted Saturday morning.

Law and Order Minister Sagala Ratnayake said in a statement that the elite police riot squads and the military were brought in to prevent an escalation of the violence and the situation now is under control. He thanked everyone who “acted with responsibility to avoid a bloodbath.”

Ratnayake also warned of stern action against those carrying out racial propaganda and spreading rumors.

Sinhalese Buddhists make up 75 percent of Sri Lanka’s population of 20 million, while Muslims make up 9 percent. Even though relations between the communities have been generally cordial, Muslims have been victims of hate speech and their businesses attacked by radical Sinhalese groups in recent years.”

  3. Spain saves 500 migrants crossing Mediterranean in 46 boats (abcnews, Nov 18, 2017)

“Spanish authorities say around 500 migrants have been saved by rescue boats as they attempted the perilous crossing of the Mediterranean Sea from Africa.

Francisco Bernabe, the Spanish representative in the region of Murcia, says 461 migrants have arrived at the southern port of Cartagena on Saturday after being pulled off of 44 different boats in the previous hours. The boats were reportedly launched from Algeria.

The Red Cross deployed to the port to attend to the migrants.

Another 40 migrants were intercepted in two boats in the Strait of Gibraltar.

Bernabe called the wave of migrants “a coordinated and unacceptable attack on our borders.”

Tens of thousands of refugees and migrants try the crossing each year. Packed into unseaworthy craft, thousands drown in the attempt.”

  4. 5 militants, Indian soldier killed in Kashmir fighting (abcnews, Nov 18, 2017)

“Officials say five suspected militants and an Indian air force commando have been killed in a fierce gunbattle in disputed Kashmir.

Top police officer S.P. Vaid says Indian troops on Saturday cordoned off northern Hajin village on a tip that militants were hiding in civilian homes.

Vaid says the militants tried to escape from the security cordon while firing their guns, triggering a heavy exchange of gunfire.

He said at least one militant was still trapped in the area…”

  5. New York Times Reporter: Obama Administration Misled on al Qaeda
The new bin Laden documents make clear that there was intelligence politicization during the 2012 campaign.

Updated: A top foreign correspondent at the New York Times said Friday that the Obama administration deliberately downplayed al Qaeda’s strength in the run-up to the 2012 presidential election.

“The overall narrative that I think was being pushed to the press, and if you look back at the editorials that were done when that trove came out, was an image of bin Laden isolated, he had lost control of this group,” Rukmini Callimachi said during an event at the Foundation for Defense of Democracies, referring to the 17 hand-picked documents released by the Obama administration in May of 2012.

Her remarks triggered the following question from Kim Dozier, a former top correspondent for the Associated Press and CBS, and current executive editor of the Cipher Brief: “Do you think that was something that was kept from the public’s view because it revealed that there had to be reams of communication going back and forth, which means U.S. intelligence, Western intelligence, was missing this?”

  6. UPDATED: NASA, U.S. Navy Aircraft Join in Search for Missing Argentine Submarine, 44 Sailors; U.S. Submarine Rescue Crews, Equipment Mobilizing

This post has been updated with additional information from U.S. Southern Command.

A NASA research aircraft has joined in the search for a missing Argentine submarine and its crew of 44 and a U.S. Navy sub-hunting aircraft is on the way.

A NASA P-3 Orion is now looking for the diesel-electric attack boat ARA San Juan (S-42), which has not been heard from since Wednesday, according to press reports from the region. Late Friday, U.S. Southern Command announced a U.S. Navy P-8A Poseidon left the Compalapa Air Base in El Salvador to join the search.

“U.S. Southern Command (SOUTHCOM) directed the U.S. Navy to deploy a P-8A Poseidon multi-mission maritime aircraft to Bahia Blanca, Argentina, Nov. 18 to support the South American nation’s ongoing search for the submarine A.R.A. San Juan in the waters of the Southern Atlantic,” read a late Friday statement from U.S. Southern Command.

  7. Police Holding Active Shooter Training Event For Clergy

GLOUCESTER TOWNSHIP, N.J. (CBS) — The Gloucester Township Police Department is hosting a free active shooter training event for local clergy next month.

In a bulletin, police say they want to help clergy become “better prepared” in case an active shooter situation happens at their church.

  8. Lebanon’s Hariri arrives in Paris for talks with Macron

PARIS (Reuters) – Saad al-Hariri, who resigned as Lebanon’s prime minister this month while in Saudi Arabia, arrived in Paris on Saturday for talks with French President Emmanuel Macron, a statement from Hariri’s press office said.

Hariri told Lebanese President Michel Aoun in a phone call from Paris that he would be in Lebanon on Wednesday for Independence Day celebrations, Aoun said on Twitter.

Hariri will meet Macron at noon and then attend a lunch in his honor with his wife and eldest son, the statement said.

Macron said on Friday he would welcome Hariri to Paris as Lebanon’s prime minister and expected him to return to Beirut in the “coming days, weeks”.

  9. Uranium One informant is identified — and he’s going to testify
By Jeff Dunetz November 17, 2017

The former federal informant who knew about political influence and the Uranium One deal and whose silence was demanded by the Loretta Lynch-run DOJ has been identified by Reuters as an ex-lobbyist for a Russian firm.

The former lobbyist, William D. Campbell, was interviewed by Reuters and admitted that he’s the secret witness in the investigation into the 2010 sale of a uranium company to Russia’s Rosatom. Mr. Campbell told Reuters that he will testify and provide documents to Congress about the Obama Administration’s 2010 approval of the sale of Uranium One, a Canadian company with uranium mines in the United States, to Russia’s Rosatom.

This tale started with a bombshell of a story The Hill published in mid-October that connected Russian bribery, collusion, the Clinton Foundation, Uranium and tons of cash, all before the 2010 Uranium One Deal outlined in Peter Schweizer’s book, Clinton Cash (which if you haven’t read yet…come on, get with it).

Flashback: When ‘Al Franken for president’ was ‘no longer an idiotic idea’ to liberals
By Howard Portnoy November 17, 2017

What’s old is new again. What is old is “the idea that a comedian (a comedian on purpose) as president was beneath the dignity of the United States.” That idea was floated — and summarily dismissed — in a February 2016 column in “Vanity Fair” by liberal journalist Michael Kinsley titled “Why ‘Al Franken for president’ is no longer idiotic idea.”

Kinsely was not alone in the view that Stuart Smalley, the character Franken played on “Saturday Night Live,” was a seasoned enough statesman to assume the reins of government. The same month, National Journal’s Josh Kraushaar, penned a piece titled “No joke: Al Franken for president?” and two months later Bill Scher proposed that Franken was at least ready to be a heartbeat away from President (Hillary) Clinton.

These endorsements were not without caveats. Kraushaar, for instance, acknowledged that “Franken, 65, may not be the Democrats’ strongest candidate in the general election” and that “his deeply liberal politics and long-standing dismissiveness of Republicans turn off many voters in the middle.” And Scher’s analysis, which included the observations that “Before Donald Trump, Franken wouldn’t possibly have merited serious consideration,” was totally illogical. He seemed to be saying that if the Republicans were willing to entertain an atypical candidate for the presidency, then the Democrats should have no qualms about selecting a man who can drop his pants on queue.

    • Some Democrats are pushing a damaged Franken to resign from the Senate so Moslem Kieth Ellison can be appointed to be our first Islamic Senator. They are so stuck in far left diversity mode that openly anti-Semitic Ellison is seen as a positive for the nation. I woule (in their eyes) prove how tolerant we are. These are the people who think Obama did a good job and that Hillary wasn’t far enough to the left.

    • I checked that out, most of what he is calling nations are sub culures to the two main cultures in the US. He is saying there are more cultures drying to get the people who ara banding together to defeat the far left to fall apart.

  11. Claim: Authorities Failing as Birmingham Faces ‘Tsunami’ of Child Sex Abuse (breitbart, Nov 18, 2017)

“The UK’s second city, Birmingham, could “explode” in a “tsunami of child sexual exploitation” with ruthless men even using tasers on young girls to facilitate gang rape, a politician with knowledge of the area warned.

Conservative councillor Des Flood suggested that parents could have been kept in the dark about the dangers faced by their children.

“I am worried there is a tsunami of child sexual exploitation waiting to explode across this city,” the representative of the Bartley Green ward said, according to the Birmingham Mail.

His was criticizing Birmingham City Council’s handling of child sexual exploitation after West Midlands Police arrested a suspected gang member for three schoolgirl rapes. He was bailed on every occasion, however.

The Birmingham Mail claims that 14 suspected gang members had been arrested for alleged sex offences against under-age girls.

Mr. Flood continued: “Young people, especially girls, are being sexually exploited on a daily basis. Some of this sexual exploitation is clearly linked to gangs.

“Schools are a vital part of our eyes and ears in the local community, on the ground, to identify vulnerable young people, especially in terms of concerns about child sexual exploitation.

“I know of cases whereby local schools in our community have done their duty and referred serious cases of child sexual exploitation about pupils to children’s services.

“But these schools nor their parents and carers have been invited to multi-agency child sexual exploitation meetings.”

He told another Councilor that the situation was a “disgrace,” adding:

“Can you please ensure that no further child sexual exploitation meetings take place in this city which involve school pupils without the schools and, indeed, parents and carers invited to be an equal partner at the table?

“I still believe there is a serious failing in sharing information amongst agencies, especially with regards to children’s services.”

Councillor Flood also told the meeting he had heard from residents other appalling claims which had never been included in official children’s services reports.

“I know of reports where residents have reported that young girls have been tasered and gang-raped,” he said.

“This information appears to have been diluted and not shared in reports.

“I know of one young girl who has had three social workers within the space of two months, two within the same month.

“I believe there are serious gaps that need to be closed, that vulnerable young people in this city, especially girls, are falling through the gaps.

“Is there an institutionalized attitude in children’s services to keep a lid on sharing information and therefore diluting the seriousness of child sexual exploitation against vulnerable children in our city?””

  12. Three German Cities Ban Asylum Status Migrants From Settling (breitbart, Nov 18, 2017)

“The German region of Lower Saxony has barred migrants with asylum status from settling in three of its cities claiming that they want to prevent problems with integration.

Migrants with asylum status will not be allowed to settle in the cities of Delmenhorst and Wilhelmshaven in the future according to the Lower Saxony Ministry of the Interior. The two cities join the city of Salzgitter which was the first city to ban the future settlement of asylum status migrants last month Die Welt reports.

According to the ministry, the move is, “an extraordinary measure aimed at preventing the social and social marginalization of immigrant refugees.”

All three cities had previously requested aid from the regional government in Hannover complaining that they had received too large a share of asylum status migrants in contrast to their populations.

The regional government also announced plans to give the municipal governments access to a €10 million fund called the Secondary Migration Emergency Program, which will be used to fund integration projects. The “secondary migration” is a term used by the government to describe the movement of migrants who leave asylum homes after their asylum claims are approved.

The complaints of the municipalities are not the first time smaller cities and towns have spoken out about the number of migrants they have received. During the migrant crisis, several small towns were made to house a large number of migrants relative to their population.

The village of Sumte, also in Lower Saxony, was forced by the government to take in a thousand asylum seekers in 2015 despite only having a total population of several hundred…”

The Russian Defense Ministry has announced the strikes by six Tu-22M3 long-range bombers on Daesh targets near Syrian town of Abu Kamal, with the operation being carried out for the third day in a row.

  14. Soros and his ‘226 EU friends’ thrust into spotlight by Farage – so who are they? (RT, Nov 17, 2017)

“Picking up the anti-Soros torch from Hungarian leader Viktor Orban, UK politician Nigel Farage is seeking to investigate fellow EU MEPs who support the controversial vision of the wealthy financier. But are Orban and Farage’s fears valid?

UK politician Nigel Farage, the prominent face of Brexit, is now concerned about Europe’s destiny. Addressing the EU Parliament this week, Farage provided some thoughtful ideas as to the source of the claims that Russia had somehow manipulated the Brexit vote, as well as the Trump election.

“Just last week, the electoral commission, in the UK, launched an investigation to find out whether the ‘Leave’ campaign took offshore money or Russian money,” Farage said.

“This came about as a result of questions asked in the House of Commons by one Ben Bradshaw, somebody linked to an organization called Open Society.”

But Farage, who seems to take great delight in agitating his fellow MPs, was just warming up. He went on to provide yet another example of an EU parliamentarian working on behalf of George Soros, this time against Hungarian PM Viktor Orban, who has accused the financier of seeking to create “a Europe of mixed population.”

“We even had last week Mr. [Guy] Verhofstadt lobbying on behalf of Mr. Soros at the Conference of Presidents in a battle that is going on with Viktor Orban, the prime minister of Hungary,” Farage said, pointing directly at Verhofstadt as he spoke.

“I wonder,” Farage continued, “when we are talking about ‘political collusion,’ I wonder if we are looking in the wrong place.”

Farage described Soros’s influence in Strasbourg and Brussels as “truly extraordinary.” And that influence looks set to increase dramatically now that Soros has donated the bulk of his wealth – $18 billion – into his Open Society pet project, which campaigns for open borders and supranational structures such as the European Union.

Farage concluded his short, fiery monologue with a weighty statement: “I fear we could be looking at the biggest level of international, political collusion in history.”

On the surface, there seems to be some legitimacy to Farage’s claim. According to public sources, Open Society European Policy Institute (OSEPI), the EU policy arm of Open Society Foundations, met with members of the European Commission on 44 separate occasions in 2016. And now that the organization has just been energized with $18 billion, it would seem apparent that that influence is set to increase.

Moreover, the Soros organizations published a pamphlet providing details on a list of 226 reliable “friends” who serve in the European Parliament. Farage said he would call on the parliament to set up a special committee to investigate the issue.

Who are Soros’ 226 EU ‘friends’?

In a 177-page pamphlet published by Open Society, entitled “Reliable Allies in the European Parliament (2014-2019),” 226 EU MEPs are listed and labeled according to their political orientation and views.

According to the pamphlet, “The presence of an MEP in this mapping indicates that they are likely to support Open Society’s work. Considering there are 751 members of the European Parliament, “reliable allies” of George Soros hold at least one-third of seats.”

So what sort of qualifications does an MEP need to be included among Open Society’s “reliable allies?” A quick preview of the candidate’s description field provides some good indication as to what Soros expects from his allies, including a political philosophy that includes support of the LGBTI (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and/or intersex) movement, open borders and an anti-Russia stance.

Among the 226 chosen, there is one Yana Toom, an MEP from Estonia, who comes in for a bit of criticism despite her inclusion. “Refused supporting the European Parliament’s first resolution on the Ukraine-Russia conflict in July 2014, and may be pro-Russia to an unknown extent (and, in that case, not necessarily an Open Society).”

For anyone who questions whether Open Society works directly against Russian interests, that single line should dispel all doubts. Moreover, it provides some background as to why Russia in 2015 banned Open Society from operating on its territory due to the threat it posed to the country’s “constitutional order.”

Another MEP on the list, Monica Macovei of Romania, serves as something like the golden mean for star-studded Soros status.

“Resolutely progressive; unquestionable ally of Open Society values; does not hesitate to go against her group’s instructions; however, can sometimes be described as a loose cannon with her own, uncompromising set of priorities.”

When reading such an assessment, one might get the mistaken impression that the European Parliament is designed to serve the will of George Soros and his highly controversial agenda, as opposed to the will of the European peoples.

    What does Soros want?

To say that George Soros, who was born and raised in Budapest, Hungary, has an influence on the global scene, would be the understatement of the century. His excessive wealth allows him to finance a veritable army of organizations, many serving at cross purposes.

Indeed, Soros, 87, has been connected to movements and civil disturbances as diverse as distanced as Black Lives Matter movement in the US, to the Maidan uprising in Ukraine.

And nowhere has Soros’s influence been more felt than in the ongoing European debate over migrants.

It looks like the European refugee crisis, which has been blamed on the Syrian civil war, would not occur in its current intensity without the direct assistance of the Open Society Foundation.

Thanks to the advocacy work of the Migration Policy Institute and the Platform for International Cooperation on Undocumented Migrants (PICUM), both Soros-sponsored organizations, the mass resettlement of Muslims from the Middle East and North Africa into Europe became the norm.

In fact, it appeared that the so-called “Merkel Plan” – the deal struck by the EU and Turkey – was the brainchild of the European Stability Initiative, “in addition to the largesse of George Soros’ foundations,” F. William Engdahl wrote in the Near Eastern Outlook.

Considering that the massive influx of Muslim migrants threatens to change the face of “Christian Europe” forever, and without any vote on the matter by the people of Europe, perhaps it is time to see exactly what kind of direct influence George Soros and his Open Society Foundation are having on European parliamentarians. After all, these are not the play toys of any one individual, but the representatives of an entire state.”

    • This is big. Farage supporting the Orban initiative to stand up to Open Borders brings the battle out of the European backwater and into global light. Farage is bang on to want to know just exactly how much influence Soros has. With his transfer of 18b to Open Borders it keeps alive the posthumous success of his vision for world government. By this move Soros shows us a glimpse into the future and the weight of his legacy. His passing won’t stop a thing. I think the transfer is akin to a large ordinance movement by one side in wartime.

      • You are right, Soros probably has several different motives in giving the money to Open Borders right now. He might be feeling his age and wanting to ensure Open Borders has money after his death. He is also ensuring that the money is there before any of the investigations into his actions get started. It is also possible that he is expecting something big to happen and wants the money in the hands of the people who are carrying out his plan.

  15. New Details Emerge Over Uranium One Informant

William Campbell, a Russian lobbyist, will be testifying before a congressional committee about the “Uranium One” deal where a Russian-backed company bought a firm which owned uranium mines here in the United States.

He went undercover as an FBI confidential informant to look into Hillary Clinton and her role in the deal.

“We do have a witness who is a confidential informant who wants to talk about his role in this and we are in contact with the Justice Department to release him from a non-disclosure agreement,” DeSantis told reporters.

  16. Remember When Civil Rights Groups Wanted Police Bodycams? Look At What They’re Saying Now.

Remember when civil rights advocates demanded accountability from police and wanted them to wear bodycams? Those bodycams cost police departments a good chunk of money.

But now, a group called The Leadership Conference on Civil and Human Rights avers that bodycams pose a “threat to civil rights.” They released a report titled, “The Illusion of Accuracy: How Body-Worn Camera Footage Can Distort Evidence,” in which they decry bodycams because the officers can view the footage before they write incident reports.

In the report, Vanita Gupta, the leader of the Leadership Conference, who is a former ACLU director and former acting assistant attorney general of the civil rights division under former President Obama, writes, “The vast majority of the nation’s leading police departments with body-worn camera programs allow unrestricted footage review – meaning, officers are permitted to review footage from body-worn cameras whenever they’d like, including before writing their incident reports or making statements.”

    • They don’t want the body cams because they are proving the police aren’t committing any crimes.

Eye witnesses are the least reliable evidence, especially in court where the defense attorney can ask leading questions that are designed to change the memory of the witness. Videos, security camera or body cam are much better.

  17. Packin’ Pastor Shoots Intruder
Georgia pastor shoots home invader in wee hours of the morning.

Early Thursday morning, a pastor in Cherokee County Georgia used a gun to defend his family and shoot an intruder who broke into his home.

The pastor has not been named, but a neighbor, Billy Kennedy, who lives across the street, said the pastor’s wife and oldest child ran across the street shouting, “There’s an intruder and my babies are in there.”

According to local news reports, the pastor and his family were sleeping in the early morning hours when they heard a loud noise from the basement in their Woodstock, GA home. The intruder was named by local deputies as 19-year-old Donovan Simmons. Simmons broke into the home via a basement window.

When the pastor went to investigate, he shot Simmons, allegedly in self defense, while the mother and the couple’s oldest child, 12, ran across the street for help. The names of the family have not been released. The husband and the couple’s two younger children, who slept through the incident, were unharmed.

Pictures from the incident show the broken basement window and the quaint country home not too far off of Georgia Highway 92.

Law enforcement said Simmons received a gunshot wound to the head and collapsed in the family’s back yard when he was presumably trying to get away. Simmons was taken to Wellstar Kennestone Hospital where he is currently in stable condition.

Charges are pending for the attempted burglar, who apparently lived nearby, but local investigators said they were not sure why the pastor’s family was targeted.

  18. General: Nearly 100,000 Cuban Regime Agents Have Run Venezuela Since 2010

WASHINGTON, DC — A retired Venezuelan general revealed that the socialist government has hired nearly 93,000 Cubans to import Fidel Castro’s ill-fated communism experiment, a testament to Cuba’s massive intervention in the South Amercian country.

Thousands of Cubans hold key positions in various Venezuelan government sectors, particularly in the national security and intelligence services used to monitor politicians, opposition members, business executives, and the population as a whole to keep the socialist regime in power, noted retired Maj. Gen. Antonio Rivero. Rivero has been an outspoken critic of the so-called Bolivarian revolution.

“By 2010, there was a permanent presence of approximately 92,700 Cubans carrying various missions in all areas and sectors of the [socialist] government,” declared Rivero during a discussion Tuesday at the U.S. Capitol hosted by the human rights group Justice Cuba.

    • Who is paying for those Cubans? Both Cuba and Venezuela were broke in 2010 and are broke now. Russia and China are in bad shape financially and probably aren’t paying the money. That leaves Iran or some rich terror group (possibly paying for the Cubans with money from the cocaine they are suppose to be growing in South America).

  19. Terror alert: Police shoot man ‘shouting Allahu Akbar’ (express, Nov 18, 2017)

“POLICE have shot a man who sparked a terror alert near Spain’s border with France by shouting ‘Allah is Great’ at a checkpoint.

Officers opened fire on the man, believed to be a Frenchman of north African origin, after he began to shout in Arabic when the vehicle he was travelling in was intercepted at a motorway toll near La Jonquera on the Spanish side of the border.

He was hit in the leg and rushed to a nearby hospital.

He has undergone an operation at the hospital – the Doctor Josep Trueta University Hospital in Girona – and his life is not said to be in any danger.

Local reports said officers ordered him out of the car he was in after searching the woman driver – and became suspicious after seeing he had a ‘suspicious object’ by his waist.

Civil Guard officers called for reinforcements from regional Mossos d’Esquadra police after he reportedly began shouting in Arabic, yelling the words ‘Allah is Great’, before getting back into the vehicle.

He is said to have been shot twice after and slumped to the ground after leaving the car – which had been surrounded by police – some 30 minutes later with an unidentified object in his hand…”

  20. zero hedge – WTF Chart Of The Day: America’s Youngest Child Brides & Grooms

Between 2000 and 2015, at least 207,468 minors were married in the United States.

As Statista’s Martin Armstrong notes, despite an overall fall in child marriage since 2000 (25,583 to 9,247), there are still a shocking number of young children legally married in the country. Only 14 percent married other minors, meaning 86 percent wedded an adult.

As the infographic below shows, the youngest to marry since 2000 were three ten year olds.

  21. Egypt police arrest singer over racy video

    Cairo, Nov 18, 2017 (AFP)

Egyptian police on Saturday arrested a pop singer known as Shyma after she appeared in a music video in lingerie while suggestively eating a banana, officials said.

The racy video for her song “I Have Issues” had led to complaints, police officials said, adding she is suspected of “inciting debauchery.”

In the video the hitherto little-known singer appears in a mock classroom licking an apple and appearing to mimic fellatio on a banana in front of a chalkboard scrawled with “Class #69” and the letters “vag.”

“Singer Shyma presents a lesson in depravity to youths,” thundered the Youm 7 newspaper in an article after the video was released.

It was not immediately clear whether she would be formally charged.
In a Facebook posting on Thursday, Shyma wrote that she had not anticipated the backlash against her video.

“I apologise to all the people who saw the clip and were upset by it and took it in an inappropriate way,” she wrote.

“I didn’t imagine all this would happen and that I would be subjected to such a strong attack from everyone, as a young singer…who has dreamt from a young age of being a singer,” she added.

The authorities under President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi have cracked down on some artists in Egypt using wide-ranging morality laws.

In 2015, a court jailed a female dancer to a year in prison for “inciting debauchery” in a raunchy music video for a song called “Let Go of My Hand.”

  22. the gateway pundit – Islamic Zealots Disrupt Prayers at French Carmelite Monastery, Warn Terrified Nuns; ‘’If You Don’t Convert, You’ll Go to hell’’

Details are emerging of an incident which took place in Verdun, France, last Friday (November 10th), during which two men entered a Carmelite monastery, asked to see the chapel and proceeded to disrupt evening prayers by praying aloud in Arabic, warning the nuns present that they must convert to Islam.

French daily, L’Est Republicain, quotes the Bishop of Verdun, Monsignor Jean-Paul Gusching as describing how the two men, of approximately 30 years of age, engaged one of the nuns at the reception of the monastery just before 5pm last Friday evening.

When the Carmelite sister explained, after a short discussion, that she had to attend the office of vespers, the men asked if they could be present, to which the nun agreed.

The request in itself would not have appeared unusual; home to ten cloistered nuns, ranging from 36 to 84 years of age, the community often welcomes visitors wishing to join them in prayer.

Once inside the monastery grounds, however, and within the small chapel where the nuns were gathered, the two men proceeded to pray aloud in Arabic, ‘’presenting themselves are harbingers’’, according to the bishop, and warning the nuns that if they did not convert to Islam, they would be going to hell.

Following the bizarre encounter, one of the men wrote ‘’Allah Akbar’’ in the monastery’s visitor book, before the pair exited the building, L’Est Republicain notes.

Although no physical violence took place during the incident, the nuns were ‘’deeply shocked’’ by the event, according to the bishop, adding that the incident was reported to police, with two arrests being made the following day.[…]

  23. US may let Cold War missile treaty die after Russian violations

The Intermediate-Range Nuclear Forces Treaty has two big problems: Russia doesn’t abide by it, and China’s not a party to it.

The INF Treaty, as it’s known, is a Cold War-era agreement with the U.S. and the then-Soviet Union designed to eliminate ground-based cruise and ballistic missiles that have a range of 300 to 3,400 miles.

      • Just like the lunatic “no-using-food-as-a-weapon” pact, all other previous US treaties should be scrutinized for their applicability and usefulness with respect to current affairs. After decades of malfeasance by Clinton, Bush 2.0, and 0bama, a thorough reexamination, and careful weighing, of all existing agreements is in order.

Sadly, it seems that America must become far more hard-nosed in its (already too-often perverted) role as Global Cop™. Our nation no longer has any luxury of pretending to be the “nice guy”. Especially when confronted with serious and consistently underrated threats like Red China, Russia, Iran, North Korea, and Pakistan (much less its own horde of Liberal termites).

Any laxity in this much-needed hardening of stance merely ups the butcher’s bill and—between Islamic terrorism, uncontrolled immigration, nuclear proliferation, and numerous foreign economic assaults—it’s already quite a staggering tab.

Resolving all of these issues without something akin to WWIII is a task that is well beyond the abilities of Trump. Without any wish to disparage his intellect or abilities, America is less-than-likely to emerge unscathed if this nation is unable to reestablish its once-greatest political virtue—namely, the “loyal opposition”.

Most strongly manifested in the post-WWII era (i.e., the 1950s & 1960s), this nation’s political leadership had managed to—regardless of partisan alignment—nonetheless rather consistently steer a middle course that was, more often than not, best for the USA as a whole.

This modern-day epidemic of crippling divisiveness and gruesomely injurious polarization (please see tonight’s Notes from NorseRadish) that the treacherous Propaganda Media—and far too many special interest groups—all knowingly perpetrate upon the American people has reached nothing less than treasonous proportions.

It is unreasonable to expect that a political outsider like Trump can accomplish such a Herculean task without some respectable degree of earnest partisan reunification. Any and all politicians or figureheads who impede this urgent component of assuring America’s now-and-future national security deserve being outed as the traitors that they clearly are.

        • Resolving all of these issues without something akin to WWIII is a task that is well beyond the abilities of Trump.

I can’t think of any mortal man or woman that could achieve that miracle.

The current political mess was created by the left in their desirer to take over the world and create their version of utopia. ( ) Most of these goals have been achieved in all Western Nations and the left is working to finish the job of destroying Western Civilization.

It looks like they will probably achieve their goal of destroying civilization but I doubt they will manage to take over and create their one Socialist government ruling the entire earth. The reemergence of national identity and cultural pride in the Generation Identity movement pretty much assures their failure to take over. We are going into a massive war with a military that isn’t ready, one of the reasons that the US hasn’t made any military attack on several of our enemies is the lack of military assets to perform all of the jobs currently demanded of them. This new increase is great and hopefully will ease some of our problems.

Several of these problems are the policies that Obama started when he used the US military as a social experimental lab. We are hampered in reversing these policies by the high ranking officers Obama promoted because they were “politically loyal to those experiments” these policies which include letting people with mental problems serve as active duty soldiers. As we rebuild the military we can become more assertive, and hopefully solve some of the problems that Obama created. Unfortunately the large problems (Iran, Pakistan, North Korea, the massive presence of Hezbollah in South America, Pakistan, Russian and Chinese ambitions around the world) are probably going to require a major war to resolve if the latter two can be solved even with a major war.

  24. Something else the climate scientists missed: outgassing due to continental drift
    Anthony Watts / 5 days ago November 13, 2017

When continents break it gets warm on Earth

Rift zones released large amounts of CO2 from depth, which influenced global climate change

The concentration of carbon dioxide (CO2) in the atmosphere determines whether the Earth is in greenhouse or ice age state. Before humans began to have an impact on the amount of CO2 in the air, it depended solely on the interplay of geological and biological processes, the global carbon cycle. A recent study, headed by the GFZ German Research Centre for Geosciences in Potsdam, shows that the break-up of continents – also known as rifting – contributed significantly to higher CO2 concentrations in the atmosphere.

  25. Germany, Austria: Imams Warn Muslims Not to Integrate

    by Stefan Frank
    November 18, 2017 at 5:00 am

In the debate on migrants in Germany and Austria, no other term is used more often than “integration.” But the institution that is most important for many Muslim migrants does not generally contribute much to this effort — and often actively fights it: the mosque. That is the finding of an official Austrian study as well as private research conducted by a German journalist.

In late September, the Austrian Integration Fund (ÖIF), a department of the foreign ministry published a study, “The role of the mosque in the integration process”. For the purposes of the study, employees of the ÖIF visited 16 mosques in Vienna, attended several Friday sermons and spoke with the individual imams — that is, if the imams were willing to have a conversation, which was often not the case. The result of this, according to the ÖIF, is that only two of the mosque associations foster the integration of their members. The report applauds a Bosnian mosque association that also runs a soccer club. During the discussion, its imam said: “Every country, as with Austria, has its rules and laws and — something I always stress — it is our religious duty to comply with these standards and to integrate accordingly.”

  26. Liberals Ask Sarah Palin About Sexual Harassment. Her Response Is EPIC.

Senator Al Franken is latest to have his name added to ever-growing list of powerful men accused of sexual harassment in recent weeks.

Shortly after the news broke, MSNBC anchor Kasie Hunt caught up with former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin and used the opportunity to ask the female politician if she had ever experienced sexual harassment in the workplace.

Palin’s response: “I think a whole lot of people know that I’m probably packing so I don’t think there’s a whole lot of people who would necessarily mess with me.”

  27. Report: Twitter to Start Sanctioning Users for Their Offline Behavior (breitbart, Nov 18, 2017)

“Twitter will start sanctioning users for their offline behavior starting Saturday, according to a report.

According to the Verge, “What’s new is that Twitter now plans to do at least some monitoring of verified users’ offline behavior as well, to determine whether it is consistent with its rules.”

“If it isn’t, users can lose their [verification] badges. And so a hypothetical verified user who tweeted nothing but pictures of kittens but organized Nazi rallies for a living could now retain his tweeting privileges, but lose his verification badge,” they explained.

In their own article, Mashable added that Twitter has “given users until December 18, 2017, when it will then begin enforcing the rule.”…”

    • Twitter to Start Sanctioning Users for Their Offline Behavior

This dose of Orwellian behavioral modification merits strenuous objections from all people, regardless of their political partisanship. Social Media’s attempts to rival Propaganda Media’s ongoing conspiracy to shape American political thought deserve nothing less than ostracism and comprehensive boycotts.

  28. Seeing The Effects of Mass Migration in Western Europe Turns Young Poles Populist (breitbart, Nov 18, 2017)

“In a piece perpetuating the perception of annual independence day celebrations in Poland as a “far right” festival, Britain’s Guardian newspaper has inadvertently identified an unexpected side effect of European free movement of labour — the growth of populist-right ideas among young Poles.

Rather than right-wing views becoming more prevalent among those ‘left behind’ by globalism and the breaking down of borders — a common trope repeated about a perceived lack of education among Brexit voters by sneering remainers — anti-mass migration views may actually be encouraged in Eastern European nations by their best travelled and internationalist citizens.

Trying to find sense in the continued growth of nationalist, populist politics in central and European nations including in Poland — which saw a 60,000 strong independence day march in the national capital Warsaw Saturday, the Guardian quotes Aleks Szczerbiak, a professor of politics at the University of Sussex who explains going abroad and seeing life in Western Europe had the opposite effect.

The academic said: “It was long assumed that young Poles would come to the west and become more secular, multicultural and liberal, and that they would re-export those things back to Poland. But instead their experience of the west seems to have reinforced their social conservatism and traditionalism in many ways.”

The paper also quoted the remarks of former member of the Polish parliament Krzysztof Bosak, who now organises for the National Movement — an organisation the Guardian calls “ultra nationalist” — who explained the experiences of many Poles living in Western Europe turned them away from liberalism. He said: “So many young people travelled to work in western countries, and then came back and told their friends and families what was going on in western Europe.

“They told them about the process of exchange of population, by which people of European origin are replaced by people from Africa and Asia, and about Islamisation.”…”

  29. Feminist Writer Delegitimizes Franken Accuser Because She Supported Trump

A female writer who claims she is a member of the “Resistance” decided to slut-shame Leann Tweeden, the accuser of Sen. Al Franken, by tweeting images of Tweeden as she posed for Playboy.

Vivian Copeland, who proudly notes on her twitter feed she is a #nastywoman, proved that moniker to be entirely accurate as she tweeted that Tweeden appearing clothed on TV when she accused Franken of sexual harassment was “quite the transformation.” Desperate to save Franken, Copeland wrote, “Leeann Tweeden as she appeared on TV to accuse @alfranken and her nude centerfold from Playboy. Quite the transformation. I don’t care what party a person belongs to. Perverts need to be held accountable but false accusations aren’t cool, either.”

  30. French Police Find Rocket Launchers Among Massive Weapons Arsenal in Drug Raid (breitbart, Nov 18, 2017)

“French police have arrested four individuals in connection with organised drug dealing and have also found a massive arsenal of weapons including fully automatic rifles and anti-tank rocket launchers.

The four men were arrested in the regions of Eure-et-Loir, Eure and Yvelines which lies just west of Paris. Republic of Chartres prosecutor Rémi Coutin commented on the case saying investigators had found narcotics, 13,000 euros in cash and a massive arsenal of military-grade weaponry, radio broadcaster Europe 1 reports.

“The investigators seized seven weapons of war, including two loaded and ready-to-run M80 rocket launchers capable of destroying a tank, two Kalashnikovs, one Spanish assault rifle, two machine guns,” Coutin said.

The prosecutor added that the investigators also found, “twenty-two long guns including seven shotguns, 80 kg of ammunition or tens of thousands of rounds, and four jammers.” Four vehicles were also confiscated in the raid.

The arrests are the culmination of an investigation that began in November of 2015 after weapons were found at a garage just outside of the city of Chartres. A fifth suspect is also being sought after by police who have issued an international arrest warrant for him.

The raid is not the first time French authorities have found military-grade weaponry this year. In August, police in the no-go Paris suburb of Seine-Saint-Denis, a known hub of radical Islamism, found an anti-tank rocket launcher, two sawn-off shotguns, high power explosives and other equipment and ammunition…”

  31. Oxford University Introduces Mandatory ‘Cultural Appropriation’ Classes (breitbart, Nov 18, 2017)

“An Oxford college has become the first to introduce compulsory racial awareness classes to ensure ethnic minorities are not offended.

Students at Magdalen College voted to compel all first-year freshers to attend the sessions, which will cover racism, ‘institutional racism’, ‘cultural appropriation,’ and implicit bias.

According to The Telegraph, students will learn about how to “participate effectively in fighting racism for both BME [Black and Minority Ethnic] and non-BME students”.

Farheen Ahmed, Oxford Student Union’s Vice President for Welfare and Equal Opportunities, said she welcomed the move as “an important part of bringing the conversation about race and ethnicity into the wider consciousness”.

She told the student paper Cherwell: “The University is becoming increasingly aware of the need to prioritise student voices on issues of race, as seen in the establishment of various groups to handle such concerns”.

Implicit bias is when people are accidentally or unknowingly discriminatory or racist to minority groups, or when they are influenced by stereotypes.

Cultural appropriation is the adoption of the customs, practices, or ideas of a culture, which is not said to be authentic or sensitive enough to minority groups.

Left-wing campaigners have claimed that sombreros and other fancy dress costumes, and some types of food, are offensive as they are appropriated.

Last year, Magdalen College was criticised for a 1920s-themed ball. Some students said it could cause offense to female and ethnic minority students on the basis that “people of colour and women were entirely absent from college spaces” during the time period.

Oxford’s Lincoln college was accused of “cultural appropriation” over its New Orleans-themed ball, with students claiming it promotes “nostalgia for an era steeped in racism.”

Last year, Oxford student voted to create a “Class Liberation Officer” to protect the working classes from “microaggressions” such as being called a “chav”.”

        • Cultural Marxism at its worst, attacking those who are most vulnerable

Please consider assigning appropriate blame when it comes to so many parents lazily relinquishing an irreducible obligation—to their own “vulnerable” children, for fü¢k’s sake—of transmitting morals and ethics which have, instead, fecklessly been handed off to generations of über-Liberal teachers.

          What could possibly go wrong?

          • You got that right, the vast majority of the problems we have with the leftist indoctrinated kids are due to parental neglect. Most of this neglect is due to the parents deciding that someone with a lot of degrees has to know what they are talking about so they left the traditional methods of raising kids behind and followed the new theories that lets the kids do what they want. They and the future generations of parents need to learn that all kids are born savages and their parents must civilize them during their formative years.

  32. U.S. Plans to Use Weapons of the Future to Take Down North Korean Missiles
    Tom Porter 7 hours ago

The Trump administration plans to expand its capacity to use cyber-weapons and drones capable of taking down a North Korean missile before it leaves the country’s airspace.

In an emergency request to Congress early in November, the government asked for an emergency $4 billion to help combat the threat from North Korea, which in recent months tested a ballistic missile experts say could hit U.S. mainland.

  33. 600 African migrants rescued near Spain

Around 600 African migrants were rescued off the coast of Spain in 24 hours, a sea rescue patrol said Saturday.

The Guardia Civil and Salvamento Maritimo rescue service added that operations to recover further migrants were still under way.

Spain is the third busiest gateway for migrants arriving in Europe, but far behind Italy and Greece. However, the number of people arriving by sea in Spain has nearly tripled over the last year to 17,687.

Many Africans undertaking the long route to Europe are choosing to avoid crossing danger-ridden Libya to get to Italy along the so-called central Mediterranean route, and choosing instead to get there via Morocco and Spain.

On Saturday, most of the migrants arrived in the south-eastern region of Murcia, where 431 people aboard 41 makeshift boats were discovered.

Patrols found more than 110 people in the Alboran Sea, between Morocco and Spain’s Andalusian coast.

Operations were also conducted in the Strait of Gibraltar, recovering 48 people on four makeshift boats.

The rescues were carried out by the Navy, the Guardia Civil police and Salvamento Maritimo.

According to the International Organization for Migration (IOM) close to 160,000 people have made the dangerous crossing to Europe this year and almost 3,000 more died or went missing while trying.

  34. Fellow police made my life torture for trying to stop Asian grooming rapists (express, Nov 19, 2017)

“THE detective who exposed the Rochdale child abuse scandal has claimed she was bullied by police chiefs for speaking out on grooming gangs.

Maggie Oliver said her professional life was made “torture” after she told senior offi cers that police were not doing enough to protect girls from a predominantly Asian paedophile ring.

The former detective constable resigned from Greater Manchester Police in late 2012 over failures that allowed the Rochdale perpetrators to escape justice for many years.

However before she quit she alleges she was bullied for a year and a half while working on Operation Span, the investigation into Rochdale.

Ms Oliver has not spoken publicly about her bullying so as not to detract from the way in which the young victims were let down by the police.

However, she has now decided to speak out to support another detective John Wedger who the Sunday Express revealed last week is suing the Metropolitan Police for a psychiatric injury he suffered as a result of bullying.

She said: “I’ve never spoken publicly about my personal treatment because I never wanted to defl ect from the fact the police had failed the child victims of Rochdale. But in trying to expose criminal neglect by senior offi cers that for me was on a par with Hillsborough, I was threatened and bullied.”

Ms Oliver, was tasked with gaining the trust of vulnerable but hostile victims. However, when they began to identify Asian grooming gangs, she said the police cooled their interest in the investigation.

She said: “GMP had a specialist interview suite for vulnerable victims which was purpose built to be non-confrontational, it’s like a living room, laid back because you want your witnesses to feel at ease.

“Yet I remember one senior offi cer screaming down the phone at me telling me that I had to take vulnerable victims to a suspect interview suite where some of them had been taken previously when they were accused of something they hadn’t actually done.”

Ms Oliver claimed the harassment stepped up when she was off work with stress.

She said: “Two senior colleagues turned up at my house one day and demanded that I surrender the police phone I’d had for 15 years.

“The reason they gave was that they didn’t want the victims to call me and put me under more stress.

“It was complete nonsense, just another attempt to isolate me further and shut me up.””

  35. Hillary comes to defense of ‘accountable’ Al Franken

Hillary Clinton came to Sen. Al Franken’s defense on Friday during an interview for her new book, saying he should be praised for his “accountability” and willingness to apologize.

Speaking to WABC Radio’s Rita Cosby, the former Secretary of State instead pointed the finger at President Trump and embattled GOP Senate nominee Roy Moore — claiming they should be viewed as the real predators, and not Franken.

“Look at the contrast between Al Franken, accepting responsibility, apologizing, and Roy Moore and Donald Trump who have done neither,” Clinton said.

“[That] is the kind of accountability I’m talking about. I don’t hear that from Roy Moore or Donald Trump.”

A former Playboy Playmate came forward this week and accused Franken, a Democrat from Minnesota, of groping her while the two were on a USO tour in 2006. The senator offered his “sincerest apologies” on Thursday, saying he was just trying to be funny.

  36. Levin: Shameless Dems are trying to bury the Franken allegations

Friday evening, LevinTV host Mark Levin railed against Senate Democrats and Senate Republicans both for the members’ reaction (or lack thereof) to this week’s shocking sexual abuse allegations against Sen. Al Franken, D-Minn.

Despite the countless and vocal calls from Washington for Roy Moore to drop out of the Alabama Senate race, it is virtual silence on the Franken-resignation front. The only seeming consensus from his colleagues and party leaders is that Franken should go before the Senate Ethics Committee.

  37. France: Police use tear gas following Libya slave auctions protest

Clashes broke out between protesters and police in Paris on Saturday, following a demonstration against illegal slave auctions of migrants in Libya.

  38. INFECTED FUGITIVES Black Death patients are ESCAPING hospital and refusing treatment sparking fears it may spread

Chief of medicine at plague hospital in Madagascar says patients are scared of needles and not used to hospital treatment.

HOSPITAL patients suffering from the plague are running away from hospitals because they are scared of needles and aren’t used to hospital treatment.

Security guards at the Central Anti-Plague Hospital in Ambohimindra, Madagascar, are tasked with keeping patients in as well as making sure those arriving follow safety procedures.

    • That article is not consistent with a description of the 2015 outbreak, in which ill relatives sought care….Of these, 4 died, and 7 self-referred to the Moramanga district hospital, where 4 died upon arrival, and 3 survived after a 6- to 9-day course of antimicrobial drug treatment. – The average duration from onset of full-blown disease to death was 1.9 days, and the average infectious period was 3.5 days. Pneumonic Plague Transmission, Moramanga, Madagascar, 2015

      • The Doctors are saying that this outbreak isn’t acting like previous outbreaks, and don’t forget the Imams have been preaching against modern medicine. Also this outbreak is much worse and people are probably starting to panic.
