Democratic Congressional Candidate Arrested for Stalking in New Mexico
A Democrat running for Congress in New Mexico’s second district was found and arrested at an apartment complex in Albuquerque on Friday, nearly two weeks after an arrest warrant was issued for him.
David Alcon is now behind bars after a woman accused him of stalking her, according to local station KRQE News 13.
The woman, who attended a Halloween party at a hotel in Santa Fe on Oct. 28, said she started receiving persistent text messages from Alcon—one with a picture of his genitals, some suggesting that he was watching her, and others professing his love for her.
The woman said later that night he texted her that he was outside her apartment.
Authorities issued a warrant for Alcon’s arrest on Oct. 30, but Alcon did not turn himself into Santa Fe police. Instead, Alcon was arrested Friday in Albuquerque after police were called to the Villa De San Felipe Apartments for a welfare check.
The Albuquerque Police Department did not elaborate on what happened when they got to the apartment complex, but according to jail records, Alcon is not facing any additional charges.
Alcon was previously convicted of stalking a woman in 2007. His campaign has so far not released a statement or responded to requests for comment.

Almost unnoticed in the coverage of President Trump’s Asia trip, Lebanon is slipping under Iran’s control. On November 3, Lebanese Prime Minister Saad Hariri, a Sunni Muslim, resigned, citing fears of assassination by Hezbollah, the Shia Muslim terrorist group funded and controlled by Iran. No one can say Hariri’s fears are unjustified since his father, former Prime Minister Rafic Hariri, was murdered in 2005 — almost certainly at Syrian or Iranian direction.
While the full ramifications of Saad Hariri’s resignation remain to be seen, Tehran’s ayatollahs have now significantly extended their malign reach in the Middle East. This is bad for the people of Lebanon; bad for Israel, with which Lebanon shares a common border and a contentious history; bad for Arab states like Jordan and the oil-producing Arabian Peninsula monarchies; and bad for America and its vital national interests in this critical region.
Sadly, Iran’s progress was foreseeable from the inception of Barack Obama’s strategy of using Iraqi military forces and Shia militia units as critical elements in the campaign to eradicate the ISIS caliphate in Syria and Iraq. The Baghdad government is effectively Iran’s satellite. Accordingly, Obama’s decision to provide that regime with military assistance and advice strengthened Iran’s hand even further and materially contributed to its efforts to establish dominance in Iraq’s Shia regions.

Should anyone doubt this notion, please consider how (after enduring a brutal round of totally undeserved brickbats for the original release of his enduring masterpiece, “The Producers”) Brooks completely swept Broadway with his—play within a play—musical version that same irreverent and to-this-day timely send-up of Nazism.
Not to be outdone, Computing Forever’s, Dave Cullen, also cites one of the most enduring animated television shows in broadcast history. Please recall that “Gunsmoke”, was among TV’s first and longest running series. Beyond that, as with its frequently referred to predecessor, “The Flintstones”, Homer and Marge have carved their way into network broadcast history as the longest running primetime animated show of all time.

The EU has provided financial aid not only to the Turkish government but also to various U.N. institutions and NGOs dealing with the refugee crisis in the country. Coordination between institutions is established through the EU Facility for Refugees in Turkey (FRIT), which became operational in February 2016.
Representatives from the EU member countries and Turkey meet once every three months to evaluate the developments.
Some 1.6 million euros has been allocated to education and healthcare services, municipality infrastructures, socioeconomic programs and migration management. Education and health services top the list, receiving 300 million euros each so far.
The Health Ministry is spending the 300 million euros it has received on “S?hhat,” the organization responsible for the Syrians’ healthcare in Turkey. Three refugee health centers are currently operational, but the aim is to increase this number to 178.
One such health center is Bab-? ?ifa, located in the southeastern province of Kilis, near the Syrian border. The center, which offers services exclusively to Syrians, employs nearly 50 Syrian personnel and conducts 480 health examinations every day.

According to federal statistics for 2016, 440,000 of the country’s 860,000 homeless people were refugees. However, BAG stressed that its data does not show hundreds of thousands of refugees living on the streets, since it also took refugees living in communal housing and shelters into account. Officials said they chose to include these refugees in their latest census as they are also in need of housing.

France’s various intelligence agencies are keeping tabs on those 18,000 names on the FSTRP list (Fichier des signalements pour la prévention de la radicalisation à caractère terrorist).
Nunez said the DGSI have placed around 4,000 individuals who intelligence services believe are the most dangerous under tighter surveillance. He did not reveal details of how exactly intelligence services were keeping watch on these potentially dangerous people.
“Our chief role is to prevent attacks, detect threats and neutralize them as soon as possible,” said Nunez.
While Isis might have lost much of its territory in the Middle East including its de facto “capital” in Raqqa Nunez pointed out there were still individuals in France who could “respond” to its propaganda.
Last week France’s specialist terrorist prosecutor François Molins noted that 2017 had seen a rise in “isolated attacks” – 11 in total, including one at Marseille train station that left two young students dead.
Since 2013 some 46 terror plots have been foiled in France while 17 failed.
Nunez said the likelihood of commando teams being sent from the Middle East to attack Paris as was the case for the November attacks in two years ago was less likely but could not be ruled out.”

“An Eritrean asylum seeker in Germany has been sentenced to a year and three months in prison after being found guilty of exposing himself and masturbating in public in front of women and a 12-year-old girl.
The 27-year-old asylum seeker from Eritrea was found guilty by a court in June this year and has now his sentence has been finalised by the District Court of Augsburg after he withdrew an appeal, Augsburger Allgemeine reports.
The incidents occurred between September and December last year and saw the 27-year-old expose himself on eight separate occasions at a swimming pool, a local playground, and along a park pathway in the town of Aichach. In several incidents, the man is also said to have started masturbating in front of the women, which included a 12-year-old girl on one occasion.
In addition to charges of immoral behaviour and exhibitionism, the man was also charged with child abuse…”

“Austria is set to take control of the European police agency Europol and has vowed to increase resources into tackling human trafficking rings smuggling migrants into Europe.
In January 2018, Austria will take command of Europol and already the conservative-populist wave which brought victory for conservative Austrian People’s Party leader Sebastian Kurz is having an influence on how it will be run.
Gerald Tatzgern, an expert on human trafficking at the Federal Criminal Police Office, is set to lead a new offensive against smuggling gangs, Kronen Zeitung reports.
Tatzgern is also looking at adding another four staff members in the human trafficking division and said the aim of the group will be to pursue traffickers and shut down migrant routes.
He said that Europol will also look extensively into the financials of the human trafficking gangs. “Follow the money, then you will uncover the criminal structures,” he said.
Tatzgern hopes to also uncover the migrant smugglers operating in countries like Afghanistan, Pakistan, Iran, and Turkey to stop people trafficking at the source.
Austrian Interior Minister Wolfgang Sobotka announced tougher measures on human trafficking at a conference in Bern, Switzerland. Sobotka said: “We have to put a stop to criminal smugglers and stop the deaths in the Mediterranean.”…”
Hillary Clinton PERSONALLY Overturned Visa Ban for Islamist Figure Now Accused of Rape
European Islamist scion Tariq Ramadan was banned from the U.S. by the Bush administration in February 2004 for his financial support of a charity that funded terrorist groups. In January 2010, then-Secretary of State Hillary Clinton overturned that ban. Clinton personally approved a visa for the controversial grandson of the founder of the Muslim Brotherhood.
Now, Tariq Ramadan is facing multiple accusations of rape and sexual assault of minors.
Hillary Clinton’s visa for Tariq Ramadan was seen as part of the new Obama administration policy of embracing more hardcore Islamists.

Six years after using the Patriot Act to revoke the visa of a prominent Muslim academic, the United States State Department reversed itself and said Wednesday that it would no longer bar the scholar from entering the United States.
The decision came in the form of an order signed by Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton. It paves the way for the scholar, Prof. Tariq Ramadan, to apply for a new visa free of the authorities’ former accusation that he had contributed money to a charity connected to terrorism.

Since last month, Ramadan has been the target of multiple rape claims.
The National reports:
Mr Ramadan, who is professor of contemporary Islamic studies at Oxford University, has been accused of rape and sexual assault by three women in the past 10 days.
One of them, French writer Henda Ayari, says Mr Ramadan raped her in a Paris hotel room in 2012. Ms Ayari, 41, who lodged a rape complaint against the 55-year-old Swiss national on October 20, claimed that for Mr Ramadan, “either you wear a veil or you get raped”.
“He choked me so hard that I thought I was going to die,” she told Le Parisien on Monday.
Mr Ramadan is also accused of raping another woman in a hotel room in 2009. The unnamed 42-year-old, who is reported to have disability in her legs, said on Friday that the professor had subjected her to a terrifying and violent sexual assault.
A third complainant, identified as Yasmina, told Le Parisien in an interview on Saturday that Mr Ramadan sexually harassed her in 2014 and blackmailed her for sexual favours.
Mr Ramadan has denied the accusations and has filed counter-charges for libel.
