    • At the very end of this video, Peterson’s conspicuous (and obviously sincere) efforts to depolarize these matters—in what can only be described as one of the most divisive and schismatic episodes in modern US history—simply reinforces the urgency for Americans of all stripes to unite against an increasingly predatory and parasitic 1%.

The abject treachery of gangsta thugs like George Soros and the Koch brothers (inter alios) makes it abundantly clear that—should we, as a people, refuse to unify—scum like them who are pursuing “economic capture” of America’s (once) Free Market will ensure a nation so divided as to make its subjugation nothing more than some sort of set piece from a first-year business school’s class of Mergers & Acquisitions 101.

  4. Is North Korea about to fire a submarine missile? Fresh activity is seen at test site as Kim Jong-un refuses to blink over US threats

North Korea could be preparing to carry out a submarine missile test in defiance of President Trump’s attempts to bring the rogue nation to heel.

Satellite images taken on Monday shows activity at a test site which mirrors preparations ahead of the country’s last test of their Pukguksong-1 submarine-launched ballistic missile in August last year.

The images were released after President Trump said American weapons are ‘locked and loaded’ in case Kim Jong-un makes any more ‘overt threats’ toward the US.

    • Was it last week or the week before that when you said North Korea needs to have another submarine accident and lose their single missile sub?

    • Guam leader backs ‘punch in the nose’ for Pyongyang

Guam’s leader said Monday that “sometimes a bully can only be stopped with a punch in the nose”, in a spirited defence of President Donald Trump’s rhetoric against North Korea which has the island in its crosshairs.

While Trump’s critics accuse him of inflaming tensions with Pyongyang, Guam governor Eddie Calvo said he was grateful the US leader was taking a strong stance against North Korean threats to his Pacific homeland.

“Everyone who grew up in the schoolyard in elementary school, we understand a bully,” Calvo told AFP.

“(North Korean leader) Kim Jong-Un is a bully with some very strong weapons… a bully has to be countered very strongly.”

Calvo, a Republican, said Trump was being unfairly criticised over his handling of the North Korea crisis, which escalated when Pyongyang announced plans to launch missiles toward Guam in a “crucial warning”.

    • N. Korea ‘on standby to launch,’ state-run paper says in response to Trump’s latest warnings

North Korea took its turn Saturday in the country’s escalating, back-and-fourth with President Trump, with the state-run newspaper saying leader Kim Jung Un’s revolutionary army is “capable of fighting any war the U.S. wants.”

The assertion was made in an editorial that also states the Paektusan army is now “on the standby to launch fire into its mainland, waiting for an order of final attack.”

The editorial also argues that the United States “finds itself in an ever worsening dilemma, being thrown into the grip of extreme security unrest by the DPRK. This is tragicomedy of its own making. … If the Trump administration does not want the American empire to meet its tragic doom in its tenure, they had better talk and act properly.”

The comments by Marine Corps Gen. • China’s Xi Grapples With Rising Cost of Backing Kim Jong Un
          Bloomberg News
          August 13, 2017, 4:00 PM CDT August 13, 2017, 11:07 PM CDT

It’s getting harder for Chinese President Xi Jinping to maintain support for wayward ally North Korea.

For weeks, Xi has been caught in the middle as leader Kim Jong Un lobbed intercontinental ballistic missiles into the Sea of Japan and U.S. President Donald Trump vented his frustration with warnings of “fire and fury.” China has urged calm while backing tighter sanctions against North Korea to ward off U.S. threats of punitive tariffs and military strikes.

The prospect of nuclear war has sparked a debate in Beijing about maintaining support for the Kim dynasty, which dates back to the Korean War in the 1950s. The two countries have grown apart over the decades, with China opening up to become the world’s second-biggest economy while North Korea has become more isolated and impoverished.

  5. South Korea needs own nukes: Korean media

    Iran Press TV

    Fri Aug 11, 2017 8:57AM

Media in South Korea have started floating the idea that the country may have to develop nuclear weapons of its own, as fears escalate of a potential conflict with North Korea.

The Korea Herald wrote in an editorial on Friday that Seoul needed nuclear weapons to defend itself against the North.

“Trust in the nuclear umbrella the US provides to the South can be shaken,” read the editorial, adding that “now is the time to start reviewing nuclear armament.”

The paper also urged the US to deploy some of its nuclear weapons to South Korea if it did not want to see a nuclear-armed Seoul.

Under an atomic energy agreement signed with the US in 1974, South Korea is banned from building its own nuclear arms, and Washington has guaranteed to protect the South under a “nuclear umbrella” against potential aggression.

The US currently has some 28,500 troops stationed in South Korea.

Reports, however, say that South Korea is technologically highly advanced and could develop an atomic device within months of deciding to do so.

The South’s defense chief, Song Young-moo, has said his country is “fully capable” of building its own nuclear weapons but is not considering that option for now.

    ‘Balance of terror’

A survey conducted last year, before tensions began to mount on the Korean Peninsula, indicated that about 57 percent of South Koreans supported the idea of Seoul having nuclear weapons, and 31 percent opposed it.

“We need to have our own military options to overwhelm the North,” the Korea Economic Daily said in an editorial earlier this week. It said a nuclear weapon will ensure a “balance of terror” and prevent Pyongyang from attacking the South.

NR Notes: Although I’ve been predicting this for many moons, please pay close attention to how this news release came courtesy of “Iran Press TV“. What better way is there for Tehran to artificially inflate their supposed “justification” about acquiring nuclear weapons than by playing up the manufactured “distress” of America’s Asian ally.

This is a major boatload of unadulterated horse hocky because (as Richard is so fond of correctly noting), none of this would be happening if the NORKS and their Iranian butt-boys weren’t playing hide-the-sausage with supposedly concerned [shriek!] global powers.

Communist China needs this entire prefabricated (and artificial) crisis stuffed so far
up their collective arse that meter-long chopsticks couldn’t put the glom on it.

    • Communist China needs this entire prefabricated (and artificial) crisis stuffed so far
up their collective arse that meter-long chopsticks couldn’t put the glom on it.

This is about to occur, South Korea is wanting its own nukes, if they start working on them Japan will follow and then it won’t be long before Singapore, Malaysia, Burma and others in that region want their own nukes. Then if this is allowed to occur every tim pot Dictator will want nukes because they will have seen how the US refused to do anything about North Korea.

As I have said before we either fight now with the possibility of hundreds of thousands of causalities or we wait a few years and fight with the certainty of millions of causalities.

  8. Fear of ‘violent left’ preceded events in Charlottesville
By David Weigel August 13 at 3:45 PM

On Saturday afternoon, shortly before her camera captured a car plowing through left-wing activists in Charlottesville, killing one and injuring more than a dozen others, Faith Goldy warned that the left was spinning out of control.

“Hundreds and hundreds of antifa, weird BLM, idiots dressed like clowns,” said Goldy, a reporter for the Canadian alt-right news site The Rebel. “This is okay, as long as you’re not the alt-right. The alt-right wasn’t allowed to demonstrate any show of force.”

As if on cue, activists began chanting “black lives matter” in the background of Goldy’s shot.

“Chant BLM, and all of a sudden the cops don’t care!” she said. “Where are the riot police now?”

Goldy’s report, which transformed into police evidence after James Alex Fields Jr. allegedly plowed his car into counterprotesters, was representative of a theme that had risen from far-right media to the mainstream since President Trump’s inauguration. The growth of “antifa,” a loose and often ad hoc network of left-wing “antifascist” groups, has been covered as a rising danger to law and order, a justification for alt-right organizations to organize armed rallies — and for ordinary Americans to arm themselves, too.

    • A Democrat controlled State, A Democrat controlled City and the police are ordered to stand down and left antifa and BLM do what they want. Does it surprise anyone that one of the people that the left is preventing from using their Constitutional Rights snapped and attacked the people who are oppressing him?

Yesterday I posted a couple of videos one from Lauren Southern that talked about how the actions of the left in stripping the First Amendment rights from the Whites is creating the problem the left is supposedly campaigning against. Many of us on this blog have commented on how the left is refusing to talk to the reasonable people about the rights of all of the people in the US. Now they have pushed things to the point that the only places the Whites can get time to talk about the discrimination against them is at the rallies that are held by the White Separatist and White Supremacists.

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. — Brittany Caine-Conley, a minister in training at Sojourners United Church of Christ, arrived in downtown Charlottesville on Saturday morning expecting that there might be violence. She did not expect things to get out of hand so quickly.

But what began as a rally of white nationalists in a city park soon spun out of control, resulting in melees in the streets and the death of a 32-year-old woman after a car rammed a group of counterprotesters. The police have charged a 20-year-old Ohio man described as a Nazi sympathizer, accusing him of intentionally driving his car into the crowd.

On Sunday, Charlottesville tried to recover — as the police, in particular, came in for criticism.

At church services, pastors urged their congregations to fill their lives with love, not hate — a message echoed by Gov. Terry McAuliffe. The downtown mall, a pretty pedestrian plaza, was unusually quiet. People looked grief-stricken, as State Police officers in riot gear sat on a brick wall, taking a break in the midday sun.

BEIJING: China warned on Monday (Aug 14) that nobody would win in a “trade war” with the United States as President Donald Trump prepared to launch an investigation into Chinese intellectual property practices.

Trump was due on Monday to sign a memorandum directing US Trade Representative Robert Lighthizer to determine whether any Chinese laws, policies or practices discriminate against or harm American innovators and technology companies.

The investigation could lead to sanctions against Beijing.

Asked about the US move, foreign ministry spokeswoman Hua Chunying said any member of the World Trade Organisation must respect WTO rules.

  12. Trump said the presidential thing about Charlottesville
    By J.E. Dyer August 13, 2017

We have apparently forgotten what it means to be presidential and exercise national leadership.

In his own (admittedly unique) way, Donald Trump did exactly that on Saturday, 12 August.

I wrote about this yesterday, and rather than rehash the matter entirely will start by quoting from that post:

President Trump was right about two points he made in his comments on the Charlottesville event today. One, Obama didn’t create this event, and neither did Trump. The point is a warning to both the left and the right to not try to justify excess or violence with complaints about the politics (or the people) we don’t like. It is an essential point, and Trump made it with admirable simplicity.

Two, there is divisive racism and hatred on both sides. Trump condemned both. He was right to. Antifa, and all the other organized radicals who go around insinuating themselves into the candlelight vigils and legitimate, peaceful assemblies of others, are every bit as vicious, extreme, and unacceptable as Nazis and the KKK.

The hand-wringing and lockstep criticism levied at Trump’s comments are not surprising. (Howard Portnoy has a nice take on the Washington Post’s pro bono rewrite of the president’s script.) The mainstream media were always going to frame anything Trump said as an indictment of him, and their narrative can therefore be dismissed at the outset. No matter what Trump said, the media response would have been the same.

Russia’s Federal Security Service (FSB) detained four people suspected of having links with the self-proclaimed Islamic State at an undisclosed location in Moscow Region, Monday. The suspects were allegedly plotting suicide bombing attacks in the Russian capital.

According to officials, among the detainees are an explosives specialist, an IS emissary who is believed to be the mastermind behind the planned attacks and two would-be suicide bombers.

  14. Libya: 131 Sudanese nationals deported as authorities tighten border controls

A total of 131 Sudanese nationals were deported from the south east city of Kufra on Sunday for allegedly illegally entering the country.

As the south of Libya sees tough measures being imposed on migrants, the north is also under pressure to stop the flow of people travelling across the Mediterranean to Europe.

    • Russia: ‘New colonisation’ – LNA Commander Haftar slams EU proposal to settle migrants in Libya

Commander of the Libyan National Army (LNA) Khalifa Haftar stated that Libya is “absolutely against” the EU’s proposal to settle migrants in Libya, when speaking to press, in Moscow, Monday. The proposal would see a portion of those migrants and refugees passing through Libya settling in the North African nation.

Haftar expressed that “we are absolutely against” the fact that “some people want these groups of illegal migrants to settle on our coast,” noting that “in this case a new colonisation will happen, in an extremely strange way.” The proposal is being led by Italy, but has been criticised by German Foreign Minister and Vice-Chancellor Sigmar Gabriel.

Asylum seekers continued to journey northwards to a camp at St Bernard de Lacolle in Canada on Sunday, where the camp’s capacity to welcome 500 people hoping to rest and wait for their statuses to be processed has been revised to 1,200.

People, many of them of Haitian descent, have crossed the US-Canada border in recent weeks as their US ‘protection status’ is set to expire in January.

  17. Tunisian President Suggests Allowing Muslim Women to Marry Non-Muslim Men

Tunisian President Beji Caed Essibsi called on Sunday on the prime minister and minister of justice to make changes to the publication No 73 that bans Tunisian Muslim women from marrying non-Muslims.

Essibsi’s statement was made during his speech on the National Women’s day as he believes that the Tunisian constitution grants the freedom of belief and conscience in its sixth chapter.

According to publication 73 that was released by the Ministry of Justice in 1973, Tunisian Muslim women cannot marry foreigners if their Islamic faith is not announced and recognized by the Mufti.

Based on the consensus of Islamic scholars, Muslim women are religiously prohibited to marry men from other religions. However, Essibsi believes that this rule hindered multiple Tunisian women from freely choosing their partners.

Should Tunisia apply the new changes to its law, it will become the first country with a vast majority of Muslim population to allow Muslim women to marry from different faiths.

While several Muslim women get married to men from different faiths, the marriage is usually civil.

Essebsi’s decision sparked controversy. Multiple groups view the decision as a victory for freedom. However, other groups view it as a violation of the basic rules of the Islamic religion.

During his speech, the Tunisian president added that his country wants to establish equality between men and women in terms of inheritance. Having announced to form a committee to study the matter, Tunisia will, as well, be the first Islamic country to implement this law.

Essebsi said that Islam doesn’t contradict with development and democracy, and the inheritance issue was left to the diligence of people based on the era they are living in.

A man has been arrested after taking off his top and scrawling, ‘White children matter’ and ‘Stop Muslim grooming gangs’ on his skin.

Unemployed Jimmy Lamb, 24, then stood on the street in Newcastle and Gateshead, before being arrested on suspicion of stirring up racial hatred.

Jimmy said, ‘I saw the stories in the papers about the grooming gang. I thought to myself, this is one race chasing another race because they think that race is inferior.

‘It frustrated me no-one would describe these people as Muslim, only Asian. I wanted to raise awareness that this is a serious issue and it is not going to go away.

‘The racial and religious elements have not been addressed. The responses I got from people were all positive. I even got a few handshakes.’

I haven’t been charged with anything but the police have told me they will be informing me via letter if they will be taking it any further.

‘To be honest, I hope it does go to court. If they prosecute me it will reflect badly on them.”

Last week it was revealed that 17 men and one woman were convicted of trafficking, grooming and sex offences against vulnerable young girls after a series of trials at Newcastle Crown Court.

  20. Riot in Charlottesville
And, of course, the Left blames President Trump for the violence.
    August 14, 2017

Political extremists clashed Saturday before a “Unite the Right” rally planned around a statue of Confederate General Robert E. Lee in Charlottesville, Virginia, and as usual the police sat back and did virtually nothing as left-wingers rioted.

Described as a “white nationalist” event, radical rightist and racist Richard Spencer was on the list of speakers scheduled to address the audience. Although not every right-winger attending the “Unite the Right” rally (which might have been more aptly named “Hijack the Right”) was a fascist and not every counter-protester was an authoritarian extremist, the fighting appears to have been largely between the extremists from both ends of the political spectrum.

In a rare instance of what appears to be terrorism emanating from the so-called extreme Right, police say alleged neo-Nazi James Alex Fields, 20, used his car to plow into a crowd of counter-protesters not far from the scheduled rally at Emancipation Park.

About 20 people were injured, one of them fatally. Paralegal Heather D. Heyer, 32, was killed. Fields was arrested and is being held on suspicion of second-degree murder.

  21. Riot in Charlottesville
Stop Lying, There Was Plenty of Leftist Violence in Charlottesville
    August 14, 2017
    Daniel Greenfield

The source is the Hill’s Taylor Lorenz, who was punched in the face by leftist thugs. There have been plenty of accounts, but this comes from a mainstream media source which should make it much harder for the media to deny the leftist violence that day and gives a credible overview of the dynamics of the situation.

I’m excerpting a few pieces that stand out.

Saturday saw many storefronts in Charlottesville shuttered ahead of expected fighting, which began hours before the noon start time for the planned right-wing rally.

This is significant because it makes the police failure all the more blatant. Especially after similar clashes in other cities. Everyone knew this was coming. The police certainly did. Job #1 would have been to keep both sides separate. That might not have changed the outcome, but it remains a striking failure that isn’t being discussed much.

  23. One Easy Way Democrats Can Stop Neo-Nazis
Charlottesville is what happens when the Left empowers extremists.
    August 14, 2017
    Daniel Greenfield

In Dallas, a black nationalist activist shot and killed 5 police officers at a Black Lives Matter anti-police rally. Instead of condemning BLM, Barack Obama defended a racist hate group whose role model is Assata Shakur, a wanted black nationalist cop killer, at the funerals of the murdered officers.

The left killed civil rights and replaced it with black nationalism. The racial supremacism of black nationalism that killed those officers is everywhere. Ta-Nehisi Coates and Ibram X. Kendi are lionized as brilliant thinkers instead of hateful racists, Amazon has ordered a black nationalist secessionist fantasy from Aaron McGruder and Showtime aired ‘Guerilla,’ a miniseries glamorizing Black Panther terrorism.

But racism is a two-way street. So is violence. Extremists feed into each other.

You can’t legitimize one form of racism without legitimizing all of them. The media may advance this hypocritical position. Obama used the shameful “reverse racism” euphemism that distinguishes between black and white racism. But propaganda and spin don’t change the physics of human nature

    • The left killed civil rights and replaced it with black nationalism.

You can’t legitimize one form of racism without legitimizing all of them.

In the article he drives these points home and works hard to bet us to fight to protect the US Constitution and freedom, I pray he succeeds because right now the main actors are two different groups of racists who are intent on destroying the US and Freedom by imposing a multi-tiered Judicial System with themselves on the top and subject to no laws an d the other side of their racist coin on the bottom with no rights. The left has pushed all of Western Civilization into this hard spot and are doing their best to drive the Center into one or the other camps. The civil/race war that the left has been fomenting has started and will spill over into all Western Nations, the left will win in some cases but so will their opponents. What is real scary is that in order to preserve freedom for most people we may be forced to allow some groups to be discriminated against. This was the US was formed and how the violence after the Civil War was ended. Now the left is intent on destroying those compromises and forcing all of us to give up our rights and to worship in the Church of Marx.

  24. ‘It’s a GIANT SWINDLE’: Backlash at Macron as it’s claimed he duped his OWN supporters (express, Aug 14, 2017)
    http://www.express.co.uk/news/world/840749/France-Emmanuel-Macron-president-popularity-En-Marche-party

“EMMANUEL MACRON duped supporters to get to the top and his En Marche! movement will fail to live up to expectations, his own party members have blasted.

The damning verdict will come as a blow to the French President whose reputation has been left battered after poll results revealed his popularity has plunged after just 100 days in office.

President Emmanuel Macron promised to reform labour laws in the lead up to his election victory as he planned to kick start the revitalisation of the French economy.

But members of the En Marche! party say it was a “giant swindle” and claimed people were even paid to take part in rallies supporting President Macron.

Tiphaine Beaulieu, a French teacher who joined the party earlier this year, said: “In the eyes of activists and elected officials who support them, En Marche is starting to look like a masquerade, a giant swindle based on praiseworthy values that only serve marketing purposes.”…”

    • Macron PLUMMETS: French leader’s ratings PLUNGE lower than Hollande as he hits 100 days (express, Aug 14, 2017)

“The En Marche! leader beat anti-establishment candidate Marine Le Pen in May to be elected France’s youngest ever president.

But his approval rating has tumbled since his resounding victory, according to a survey carried out by French pollsters Ifop.

Mr Macron is more unpopular than his predecessor Francois Hollande was at a similar stage of his presidency.

Just 36 per cent of French voters approve of Mr Macron, according to the Ifop survey, carried out for newspaper Le Figaro.

Five years ago, 46 per cent said they approved of Mr Hollande as he approached the same landmark in his presidency.

Adding the centrist’s woes, just 45 per cent of voters said they believe Emmanuel Macron was sticking to his election promises.

In contrast, 57 per cent said the same of Mr Hollande 100 days into his term in 2012.

Jerome Fourquet, director of Ifop, said voters have turned on the new president after a series of unpopular policy announcements.

Mr Macron has vowed to slash housing allowance, increase social-security contributions and raise taxes on cigarettes.

Mr Fourquet said: “Overall, scepticism is prevailing. The perception of a five-year term forms after the first summer.”…”

  25. Tony Blair ‘paid MILLIONS’ by UAE while working as Middle East peace envoy role (express, Aug 14, 2017)
    http://www.express.co.uk/news/world/840787/Tony-Blair-Middle-East-envoy-UAE-Abu-Dhabi-Quartet

“TONY Blair’s office was handed millions of pounds by the United Arab Emirates (UAE) during his role as a Middle East peace envoy and an adviser.

The Arab state funded the former Labour prime minister’s office in London and also employed him as a consultant, which they paid millions for.

Mr Blair also used a senior Foreign Office official as his chief of staff for his role as official envoy of the Quartet, the international group mediating the Israeli-Palestinian peace process which he took up the same day he resigned as UK leader in 2007.

The former Labour leader has faced questions over conflict of interest between his public and private work since taking up the diplomatic role with Quartet, but has always insisted they were kept separate and Quartet staff were not involved in “commercial work”.

But he has admitted the UAE paid into the same company for his role as an ‘unpaid special envoy’ to the Middle East and for private consultancy work funded by the UAE for a sovereign wealth fund in the capital, Abu Dhabi…”

  26. Pope calls welcoming migrants a way to show brotherhood (abcnews, Aug 14, 2017)
    http://abcnews.go.com/International/wireStory/pope-calls-welcoming-migrants-show-brotherhood-49203171

“Pope Francis is praising acceptance for migrants as a way to show brotherhood, even as Europe’s welcome mat wears thin.

Francis sent a message Monday to a diocesan-organized conference in southern Italy promoting brotherhood in the Mediterranean area.

He encouraged Christians, young people and “all persons of good will to consider the presence of migrants an opportunity for human growth, encounter and dialogue” as well as an opportunity to practice charity.

In the last few years, Italy has taken on hundreds of thousands of asylum-seekers, many of them economic migrants, who were rescued at sea from smugglers’ boats setting out from Libya’s coast.

Several European countries have refused to follow EU-assigned quotas to distribute the migrants. Many Italian politicians acknowledge Italy’s patience for caring for migrants is fraying.”
