  1. The New Church Ladies: The Extremely Uptight World of “Social Justice” Paperback – February 13, 2017

Hey, you! That’s right—YOU! Do you constantly find yourself grievously offended by racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, Islamophobia, xenophobia, hatred, patriarchy, toxic masculinity, rape culture, and bigotry? When you look around, do you find nearly everything “unacceptable” and “problematic”? Do you take psychiatric medication to help you cope with all the world’s injustice? Do you walk around wearing diapers on your heart all the time? Are you relentlessly seeking “safe spaces” to get away from all the “microaggressions” that life unfairly hurls at you? Do you cry when people say mean things? Do you classify anyone who disagrees with you as a “fascist,” a “bigot,” a “hater,” a “white supremacist,” and a “Nazi”? Do you believe that “hate speech” is different than “free speech”? Do you often mistake mere words for literal violence? Do you think that people should be beaten up, jailed, or even murdered for …

The identity of the woman who set fire to the hair of a Trump supporter has been uncovered. Let this be a lesson to anyone who thinks they can get away with criminal wrongdoing in our time of ubiquitous cell phone cameras, the Alternative Media, and an army of ever-ready citizen sleuths.

This post is a presentation of the evidence uncovered in social media that Fatty Firestarter most likely is Norma Zahory. The evidence is comprised of:

Information in Zahory’s Facebook page, which is no longer accessible to public viewing. After she was outed, she either deleted her Facebook page or set it to private, but not before a citizen sleuth archived the page (click here) and posted a link to it in the Daily Caller comments section.
A tweet to Zahory from her friend, Portia Diaz.
To begin, Norma Zahory’s friends recognize her as the woman who set fire to the Trump supporter’s hair.

Her aim, she said, was to get the federal government to add courts to a list of “sensitive sites” that agents should avoid. She didn’t want immigrants to be afraid to come to court.
In a letter to U.S. Atty. Gen. Jeff Sessions and Homeland Security Secretary John F. Kelly, she asked that immigration agents stop “stalking” immigrants here illegally at California’s courthouses.
“Courthouses should not be used as bait in the necessary enforcement of our country’s immigration laws,” she wrote.

Yes, indeed. A new set of Tolkien-world-themed memes is sweeping the interwebitudes:

Elf 1: “Rivendell is about to be over-run by orcs, whose culture is incompatible with our Elven one”

Elf 2: “You Orcphobe!!! We are all equals!!!”

  6. Europe was the birthplace of mankind, not Africa, scientists find

Currently, most experts believe that our human lineage split from apes around seven million years ago in central Africa, where hominids remained for the next five million years before venturing further afield.

But two fossils of an ape-like creature which had human-like teeth have been found in Bulgaria and Greece, dating to 7.2 million years ago.

The discovery of the creature, named Graecopithecus freybergi, and nicknamed ‘El Graeco’ by scientists, proves our ancestors were already starting to evolve in Europe 200,000 years before the earliest African hominid.

An international team of researchers say the findings entirely change the beginning of human history and place the last common ancestor of both chimpanzees and humans – the so-called Missing Link – in the Mediterranean region.

NR: Am I the only one who’s hearing squeals of “waycist” and “Black Lives Matter”?

    • This is the result of the lefts identity politics, it is the logical end result of the lefts attack on Western Culture and on the Whites in their own nations. The only way we can avoid a greater descent into Tribalism with racism occurring is for the left to stop their attacks on Western Civilization, this isn’t going to happen. We can fight a delaying action to slow the growth of racism but as long as the left continues to pust their anti white agenda racism on the part of everyone is the logical result.

  8. BG police busted a VIP traffic channel through Sofia airport

The channel was used by few but very rich (or in possession of money) “clients” from Bangladesh, Iraq and Afghanistan. The tax for leaving the country was 5000 Euros.
Given the way this channel operated, even Al-Bagdahdi could be smuggled, said the head of the specialized prosecutor’s office.
The migrants were entering the country legally, through Cyprus, most of them with regular documents like students’ visas. This cost another 5000 Euros.
The organizers – two citizens of Bangladesh with a status of foreigners staying in Bulgaria, and the three airport border policemen they had bribed have been arrested.
The channel has been working since September last year.

  9. Venezuela opposition accuses Goldman Sachs of financing dictatorship

The president of Venezuela’s opposition-run Congress on Monday accused Wall Street investment bank Goldman Sachs of “aiding and abetting the country’s dictatorial regime” following a report that it had bought $2.8 billion in bonds from the cash-strapped country.

The Wall Street Journal on Sunday said Goldman paid 31 cents on the dollar for bonds issued by state oil company PDVSA that mature in 2022, or around $865 million, citing five people familiar with the transaction.

That comes as two months of opposition protests against President Nicolas Maduro have killed almost 60 people and the collapse of the country’s socialist economy has left millions of people struggling to eat.

“Goldman Sachs’ financial lifeline to the regime will serve to strengthen the brutal repression unleashed against the hundreds of thousands of Venezuelans peacefully protesting for political change in the country,” wrote Julio Borges in a letter to Goldman Sachs President Lloyd Blankfein.

North Korea Says New Missile Landed Within 7 Meters of Target

North Korea’s latest ballistic missile test involved a new rocket with a precision guidance system that landed within seven meters of its target, its state-controlled news agency said Tuesday.

Leader Kim Jong Un oversaw the launch of the missile early Monday from the country’s east coast. Preparations before the firing were more automated than for the previous “Hwasong,” or Scud, rockets, the Korean Central News Agency said, adding that this “markedly” reduced the launching time.

    https://www.bloomberg.com/politics/articles/2017-05-30/kim-oversaw-launch-of-north-korea-s-new-precision-missile

    • Unadulterated bull hockey. If the missile’s range is over 7 km (4.35 miles), that 7m accuracy = a 0.1% margin. Evidently, Jong Un has been getting taqiyya lessons from his Islamic buttboys.

Again, a 7K km range missile that lands within 7 m of target has one part in a thousand of error factor. Balance all of the NORK launch pad failures with this sort of boast about precision guidance and it all adds up to fecal matter.

Now, expand that to a 7,000 km (4,350 mile) missile and do the math.

North Korea on Tuesday boasted its test of a precision-guided missile was “successful”, saying it had zeroed in within a few metres of a target provocatively close to Japan the day before.

The North’s leader Kim Jong-un supervised the launch of the guided ballistic rocket – the third missile test by the nuclear-armed regime in less than three weeks and carried out in defiance of US threats of military action and UN sanctions.

  12. Philippine military: City siege was start of extremist plan

MARAWI, Philippines (AP) — The militants who have besieged much of a southern Philippine city over the past week include foreign fighters and local gunmen who want to establish a regional branch of the Islamic State group, the military said Tuesday.

Soldiers have taken control of about 70 percent of Marawi, where the gunmen have been fending off the army for a week, military chief of staff Gen. Eduardo Ano said. About 100 militants, troops and civilians have been killed.

“They wanted to show the world that there is an ISIS branch here which can inflict the kind of violence that has been seen in Syria and Iraq,” Ano told The Associated Press, using an acronym for the Islamic State group.

The siege in Marawi followed an unsuccessful army raid that attempted to capture militant commander Isnilon Hapilon, who has been designated by the Islamic State group as its leader in the Philippines.

“A Catholic priest who was taken hostage by militants linked to the Islamic State group says he’s being held alongside 200 other captives, including children, in what appeared to be a battle-scarred part of a southern Philippine city.

In a video apparently taken under duress by militants, Father Teresito Suganob said his captors wanted the military to withdraw its forces from Marawi, where Islamic militants still hold pockets of territory after a week of gunbattles with the army.

A colleague of Suganob confirmed to The Associated Press that the man in the video is the priest. It was not clear when the video was taken or who released it online, and whether Suganob believed what he was saying or was forced to say it.

“We want to live another day, we want to live another month,” Suganob said, standing in front of debris and partially burned buildings. Directing his remarks to Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte, he said, “We want to live few years and in your generosity, Mr. President, in your heart, we know you can make something (happen).”

  13. McCain Says Trump’s Actions Have Unsettled Allies and Americans

President Donald Trump has unsettled allies, as well as Americans, Senator John McCain said during a speech in Sydney on the future of U.S. relations with Asia.

McCain — the chairman of U.S. Senate Armed Services Committee and the Republican presidential nominee in 2008 — said Tuesday that Australia wasn’t alone in questioning whether America was still committed to upholding peace and justice around the world.

“Other American allies have similar doubts these days and this is understandable,” McCain, 80, told a crowd at the University of Sydney’s U.S. Studies Centre. “I realize that some of President Trump’s actions and statements have unsettled America’s friends. They have unsettled many Americans as well.”

McCain’s remarks come on the heels of Trump’s first overseas trip, including the sometimes awkward gatherings of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization and the Group of Seven nations. Trump told NATO leaders they had fallen short of what they “owed” to the alliance by $119 billion and prodded them to pay more.

After three days with Trump, German Chancellor Angela Merkel told supporters at a campaign event in Munich on Sunday that “the times when we could fully rely on others are to some extent over.”

    https://www.bloomberg.com/politics/articles/2017-05-30/mccain-says-trump-s-actions-have-unsettled-allies-and-americans

Richard: McCain is committing treason but since the Constitution says you can only bring charges of Treason during a war he probably can’t be charged with his crime. There is a major Constitutional question about is the Congressional approval of combat operations a declaration of war? If it is he can be charged, if it isn’t he can’t and I don’t want to bet that the Supreme Court would say it is.

    • Once again she shows her shall we say lack of intelligence, yes you can impeach members of Congress you can also impeach Federal Judges but this is rarely done.

  15. Portland mayor calls for cancellation of free-speech rally

he mayor of Portland, Oregon, on Monday urged U.S. officials and organizers to cancel a “Trump Free Speech Rally” and other similar events, saying they are inappropriate and could be dangerous after two men were stabbed to death on a train as they tried to help a pair of young women targeted by an anti-Muslim tirade.

Mayor Ted Wheeler said he hopes the victims will inspire “changes in the political dialogue in this country.”

It comes amid a wider debate in the U.S. about the First Amendment, often in liberal cities like Portland and Berkeley, California, and on college campuses, where violent protests between far-right and far-left protesters have derailed appearances by contentious figures.

    http://www.express.co.uk/news/world/811012/Student-South-Africa-raped-strangled-stabbed-Hannah-Cornelius-Stellenbosch

“A STUDENT was raped, stabbed and strangled to death during a horrific attack after being abducted.

Hannah Cornelius was killed in in Stellenbosch, South Africa, after she and a male friend, Cheslin Marsh, were subjected to a violent carjacking by four men on Friday night, police said.

The friends, both of whom were students at the local university, were chatting in Ms Cornelius’ blue Volkswagen Citi Golf when they were approached by the four men.

Mr Marsh was forced into the boot of the car while Ms Cornelius, 21, was made to get in the back seat before the pair had their possessions stolen.

They were then taken to an undisclosed location before they were both beaten with bricks.

Mr Marsh managed to escape his captors by throwing himself over a wall and was later found “barefoot and covered in blood, completely disorientated and didn’t know where he was”, according to a local news report.

He suffered head injuries and a broken arm in the attack and is currently recovering in hospital.

Ms Cornelius’ body was found on Saturday morning at around 8.30am on a round about six miles outside of Stellenbosch.

She had been stabbed several times before being strangled while her captors are also accused of raping her, according to police.

Officers have since arrested two people in connection with the case after a high-speed chase in the hijacked Volkswagen.

CCTV footage caught the men jumping over a ditch to evade the pursuing officers before they were eventually captured.

The men have been identified as Vernon Witbooi, 32, and Geraldo Parsons, 26.

Two other men have since been arrested.

All four men face charges of murder, robbery with aggravating circumstances, motor vehicle theft, rape and abduction, and more charges could later be added, officials told New24.

Witbooi and Parsons appeared in court on Monday while a third man appeared today and the fourth is due on Wednesday…”

  18. ‘You pay FAR LESS than you should – this WILL change’ Trump’s extraordinary Merkel attack (express, May 30, 2017)
    http://www.express.co.uk/news/world/810943/Donald-Trump-Angela-Merkel-Germany-Twitter-deficit-NATO

“US PRESIDENT Donald Trump has hit out at Germany for having a “massive” trade deficit with the US and the amount it spends on NATO after Angela Merkel questioned the US’ reliability as an ally.

Using his favourite form of communication, Mr Trump tweeted today: “We have a MASSIVE trade deficit with Germany, plus they pay FAR LESS than they should on NATO & military.

“Very bad for U.S. This will change.”

The billionaire leader did not clarify how that would change.

On Monday Chancellor Merkel underlined her doubts about the reliability of the United States as an ally.

She vented European frustrations with Donald Trump after back-to-back summits last week, but said she was a “convinced trans-Atlanticist”.

Speaking in a packed beer tent in Munich on Sunday, after a Group of Seven summit in Sicily and a NATO meeting in Brussels – both dominated by tensions with Mr Trump – Mrs Merkel spoke with surprising frankness.

She said: “The times when we could fully count on others are over to a certain extent. I have experienced this in the last few days.

“We Europeans must really take our destiny into our own hands, of course in friendship with the United States, in friendship with Great Britain, with other neighbours wherever possible, also with Russia,” she continued.

“But we must know that we need to fight for our future ourselves, as Europeans, for our destiny.”

Her comments over the weekend sent shockwaves through Washington.

“Polish and Afghan special forces, backed by U.S. air power, freed 11 people who had been taken hostage by the Taliban in Afghanistan’s Helmand province, Poland’s Defense Minister Antoni Macierewicz said on Tuesday.

The hostages included two solders, four police officers and five civilians, all of them Afghan nationals who had been held captive for four months in a prison in a village controlled by the Taliban, Macierewicz told a news conference in Warsaw.

“These people were beaten, tortured, treated terribly for four months,” he said.

He said the action was a “great success,” and showed that the Afghan forces are well trained and able to “combat terrorists.”

Polish special forces were primarily involved in preparing the operation and had a supporting role, but the Afghan forces did the fighting, the minister said.

He said U.S. Air Force helicopters also took part in the rescue.

Poland has some 200 troops on a NATO training mission in bases across Afghanistan. Their number will be raised to 230 soon, on the alliance’s request, Macierewicz said.”

  22. EXCLUSIVE: Kurdish General Responds to Building Iranian Proxy Threat

In the push towards the ISIS stronghold of Mosul, the successes of the Iraqi Army and Kurdish Peshmerga dominate the headlines. Yet, there’s another key, but underreported, participant: the Iranian-backed Shiite militants, which include the Iraqi Hezbollah and Hashed al-Shaabi.

Even less is heard about their expansionist aspirations. Iran and its terror proxies dream of establishing a land route from Tehran to the Mediterranean and Israel’s borders.

With progress on both ends, only the centrally-situated Ninevah and Sinjar areas near Mosul remain just out of their grasp. Their rapid headway has only been possible through the pretext of defeating ISIS — and America’s tacit willingness to accept the participation of groups to defeat ISIS.

Major General Aziz Weysi Bani, commander of the 56,000-strong Kurdish Zerevani Peshmerga, is at the forefront of this divide. Speaking exclusively to the Clarion Project, General Aziz offers his take on the current situation — a rare critique from a leading Kurdish figure, when officials are hesitant to provoke their counterparts.

“A sweeping new United Nations report identifies hundreds of human rights violations in Central African Republic since 2003 that may amount to war crimes, including massacres, gang rapes and entire villages burned to the ground.

Tuesday’s report comes amid growing fears that the country terrorized by multiple armed groups is once again slipping into the sectarian bloodshed that left thousands dead between late 2013 and 2015.

U.N. investigators highlight more than 600 abuses over a 12-year period, and are urging both prosecution and the creation of a truth and reconciliation commission. While the report refrains from identifying the alleged perpetrators unless they are already the subject of sanctions or an arrest warrant, those identities are known and are being kept in a confidential database, officials said.

“In documenting the violations and abuses of the past, we hope to galvanize national and international efforts to protect and bring justice to the victims of these crimes,” said Parfait Onanga-Anyanga, the U.N. special representative for the country…”

Last year, in response to the usual social-justice-warrior hysteria about “offensive” Halloween costumes, a Yale administrator decided she’d seen enough. Erika Christakis took the enormous risk of standing up to the academic left’s “we’re right, you’re wrong, and that’s all there is to it” stance and said they were making a mountain out of a molehill.

“I don’t wish to trivialize genuine concerns about cultural and personal representation,” she wrote in a campus-wide email. “I know that many decent people have proposed guidelines on Halloween costumes from a spirit of avoiding hurt and offense. I laud those goals, in theory, as most of us do. But in practice, I wonder if we should reflect more transparently, as a community, on the consequences of an institutional (which is to say: bureaucratic and administrative) exercise of implied control over college students.

“Is there no room anymore for a child or young person to be a little bit obnoxious?” she continued. “A little bit inappropriate or provocative or, yes, offensive?”

The trial of a Kurdish man who tied one of his three wives to the back of a car and dragged her through the streets of a town in Lower Saxony has drawn attention to an outbreak of Muslim honor violence in Germany.

Honor violence — ranging from emotional abuse to physical and sexual violence to murder — is usually carried out by male family members against female family members who are perceived to have brought shame upon a family or clan.

Offenses include refusing to agree to an arranged marriage, entering into a relationship with a non-Muslim or someone not approved by the family, refusing to stay in an abusive marriage or living an excessively Western lifestyle. In practice, however, the lines between crimes of honor and crimes of passion are often blurred and any challenge to male authority can elicit retribution, which is sometimes staggeringly brutal.

On May 22, a court in Hanover heard how a 39-year-old Turkish-born Kurd named Nurettin B. attempted to murder his second wife, Kader K., 28, after she asked him to provide financial support for their two-year-old son. State Prosecutor Ann-Kristin Fröhlich reconstructed Nurettin B.’s actions:

  26. France’s Macron meets Syrian opposition after talks with Assad ally Putin

PARIS (Reuters) – French President Emmanuel Macron affirmed his support for Syria’s opposition on Tuesday in a meeting with its chief coordinator, a day after hosting Russian President Vladimir Putin, a key backer of Syrian leader Bashar al-Assad.

The unannounced meeting with Riad Hijab and a broader delegation from the Riyadh-based High Negotiations Committee (HNC), which includes political and armed groups, came as Macron seeks to review French policy on the six-year civil war.

“The president spoke of his personal commitment to the Syria dossier and of his support for the Syrian opposition in view of a political transition,” his office said in a statement.

Opposition officials were not immediately available for comment on the meeting.

Macron’s electoral victory has offered an opportunity for Paris to examine its policy on Syria with some considering the previous administration’s stance as too intransigent and leaving it isolated on the subject.

Macron, a newcomer to international diplomacy, said on Monday that his priority in Syria was to eradicate Islamist militants.

Alongside Putin in 17th century palace of Versailles outside Paris, Macron on Monday said he had agreed to set up a working group with Russia, including to exchange information. It was not immediately clear what that would entail.

Macron’s government says it backs U.N.-mediated peace talks in Geneva. However, Macron also called for a “political and diplomatic framework to build peace” without specifying whether it was a new initiative or part of the U.N. process.

United Nations special envoy Staffan de Mistura will hold talks in Paris with France’s foreign minister Jean-Yves Le Drian later on Tuesday.

MoA – France Prepares Pro-al-Qaeda Intervention In Syria

    www(dot)moonofalabama(dot)org/2017/05/france-prepares-pro-al-qaeda-intervention-in-syria.html

It seems like France is looking for excuses to extend the war on Syria.

On May 25 the French news agency AFP published a propaganda piece about Arab horse racing in Idleb:

The spectators broke out into a lively line-dance and shot celebratory gunfire into the air as each muscled creature blasted past the finish line, kicking up clouds of golden sand.
“Muscled creatures”, “clouds of golden sands” – is that modern French poetry?

Why is AFP publishing such recruiting and public relation pieces for al-Qaeda? Why can a fully named AFP photographer work openly in Idleb without any fear of abduction or being killed? Most important: Why is AFP coming out with this right now?

The next remarkable news via French media came yesterday:

The slick globalist puppet Macron issued that “red line” threat at a press conference with the Russian President Putin.

[Macron] said that any use of such weapons in Syria would lead to “reprisals” from France — without specifying exactly what form they would take.
That “red line” is of course an invitation to al-Qaeda and its allied Saudi financed “Syrian opposition” to stage another fake “chemical weapon attack”.

Today another piece of the puzzle fell into place:

    http://www.breitbart.com/london/2017/05/30/majority-swedes-media-lies-mass-migration/

“The majority of people in Sweden believe the media is dishonest about problems in society associated with mass migration, according to research presented by the nation’s Institute of Media Studies.

The institute’s new book Mistrust of the Media, presented at a seminar on Monday, details that whilst confidence in the media is relatively high, Swedes are sceptical of reports on issues connected with immigration.

Fifty-four per cent of respondents agreed with the statement: “The Swedish media doesn’t tell the truth about social problems associated with immigration,” whilst only 27 per cent said they disagreed.

Confidence was also low with regards to the media’s handling of crime, and reporting on healthcare issues garnered the greatest amount of trust…”

    http://www.breitbart.com/london/2017/05/30/teaching-terror-children-respect-killers/

“A new teaching aid telling primary school children that terrorists kill people because they believe they are treated “unfairly” has been slammed by education campaigners.

Published just weeks before a suicide bomber attacked a concert in Manchester, killing 22 people including seven children, Talking About Terrorism recommends teachers “invite children to write a letter to a terrorist”.

The book, which contains forewords by NSPCC Chief Executive Peter Wanless and the director of the Jo Cox Foundation, describes terror incidents in which people launch indiscriminate attacks on members of the public as “a type of war”.

Terrorists kill people because they think they are being “treated unfairly and [are] not shown respect” according to the book, which goes on to give examples of “terrorists” it says were on the right side of history, including Nelson Mandela.

“The Suffragettes used violence and were called terrorists … Today many people think of them as brave women and admire their struggle for the right to vote,” it stated.

Published by Brilliant Publications, the book contains a foreword by Jo Cox Foundation director Iona Lawrence which impresses the importance of fostering “tolerance”…”

  29. Court Criticizes Obama Admin for Illegal Spying on U.S. Citizens (breitbart, May 29, 2017)
    http://www.breitbart.com/big-government/2017/05/29/court-criticizes-obama-admin-for-illegal-spying-on-u-s-citizens/

“WASHINGTON, D.C.—Intelligence agencies violated the constitutional rights of American citizens through illegal surveillance during the Obama administration, recently declassified documents from the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court (FISC) show.
The secretive court also notes a change for the better under President Trump’s team.

The Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) authorizes two courts to provide judicial review for U.S. intelligence agencies when their activities require them to monitor people on U.S. soil. One is FISC, and the other is the court that hears appeals from FISC decisions, the U.S. Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court of Review (FISCR). The benches of FISC are comprised of federal judges from regular federal trial courts throughout the nation, and three appellate judges from around the nation comprise the bench of FISCR.

The Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI) recently declassified an April 26, 2017, ruling from FISC, detailing violations of Fourth Amendment rights during the final year of the Obama administration.

The problems dealt specifically with Section 702 of FISA. This provision of federal law, found at 50 U.S.C. § 1881a, contains “minimization” procedures for U.S. citizens whose information is scooped up by the intelligence community while those agencies are conducting FISA surveillance. These safeguards minimize the burden on civil rights caused by the intrusion of the federal government into citizens’ lives.

    The Fourth Amendment commands:

The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.

Writing the 99-page opinion for FISC, Judge Rosemary Collyer castigated the Obama administration for failing to follow the Section 702 procedures designed to ensure that the government does not violate Americans’ civil rights as it is performing work that is vitally important to national security. Collyer declared that the previous administration’s cavalier violations of Section 702’s requirements created “a very serious Fourth Amendment issue.”

Collyer sharply criticized the National Security Agency’s inspector general and the NSA’s Office of Compliance for Operations for their “institutional ‘lack of candor,’” signaling that in addition to ignoring legal constraints, the Obama administration was not being honest with the court about its violations of federal law…”

  30. Russia’s Putin says certain Syria’s Assad didn’t use chemical weapons (reuters, May 30, 2017)
    http://www.reuters.com/article/us-mideast-crisis-syria-russia-idUSKBN18Q209?il=0

“Russian President Vladimir Putin dismissed on Tuesday any suggestion that Syrian President Bashar al-Assad’s forces were behind a chemical attack that killed scores of people in Idlib province in April.

“According to our information, there is no proof that chemical weapons were used by Assad. We are convinced that he didn’t do it,” Putin told daily newspaper Le Figaro in an interview.

The remarks came a day after new French President Emmanuel Macron, whose country’s intelligence services in April blamed Assad for the Idlib attack, said the use of chemical weapons in Syria was a red line for Paris and would result in reprisals.

Putin said he had offered to arrange inspections of the site in the town of Khan Sheikhoun, but that all the major powers had refused. He said the objective of the allegations had been to discredit Assad and put pressure on him.

It was a way of “explaining to the international community why it was necessary to continue to impose measures to pressure Assad, including militarily,” Putin said.”

  31. Syrian rebels say U.S., allies sending more arms to fend off Iran threat (reuters, May 30, 2017)
    http://www.reuters.com/article/us-mideast-crisis-syria-south-idUSKBN18Q1R4

“Syrian rebels say the United States and its allies are sending them more arms to try to fend off a new push into the southeast by Iran-backed militias aiming to open an overland supply route between Iraq and Syria.

The stakes are high as Iran seeks to secure its influence from Tehran to Beirut in a “Shi’ite crescent” of Iranian influence through Iraq, Syria and Lebanon, where Sunni Arab states have lost out in power struggles with Iran.

Tensions escalated in the southeastern region of Syria, known as the Badia, this month when government forces supported by Iraqi Shi’ite militias deployed in a challenge to rebels backed by President Bashar al-Assad’s enemies.

This has coincided with a march toward the Syrian border by Shi’ite militias from Iraq. They reached the frontier adjoining northern Syria on Monday. A top Iraqi militia commander said a wider operation to take the area from Sunni jihadist Islamic State would start on Tuesday and this would help Syria’s army…”

    • Jealous Qatari husband glues wife’s genitals

Doha — In a classic case of travesty of justice, a Qatari court fined a husband only 40 Riyal ($10) for sealing his wife’s genitals with crazy glue, but ordered the wife to be lashed 100 times.

The 33-year-old Qatari man was brought forth before the court after his wife was rushed off to the emergency room and suffered medical complications and excruciating pain.

He confessed to the judge that he was guilty of gluing her genitals as he was going on a business trip abroad, believing his wife had adulterous ideas after he found out she had liked a post of his 12-year-old cousin on Facebook.

According to Judge Muhammad Bin Saden of the Qatari court of Justice in Doha, the husband did unjustly bring harm to his wife, although his reasons were “well-intentioned” but put into action in an “awkward way” he said.

Also, the judge pointed out that, after going through the evidence and photos the husband had brought to court, the suffering was in part justified but still decided the woman should be administered 100 lashes as to prevent further “misunderstandings” between her and her husband.

The husband was sentenced to pay 40 Riyal ($10 US dollars) and prevented to use any sort of glue or adhesive on his wife ever again.

    May 30, 2017
Police in Bergen who are leading Norway’s large investigation into online sexual attacks on children called ‘Dark Room’ announced Tuesday that they’ve opened 33 new cases in the past six months, bringing the total of child victims to at least 300. Several are babies who police claim have been subjected to what they consider torture.

  33. A man who ‘liked’ a Facebook post accusing another man of anti-Semitism and racism has been convicted of defamation in a landmark ruling by a Swiss judge.

In the first case of its kind in Switzerland, the 45-year-old unnamed defendant from Zurich was found guilty after he ‘liked’ several posts on Facebook accusing Erwin Kessler, the president of an animal rights group, of racism and anti-Semitism.

The posts came about during discussions on Facebook over which animal welfare groups should be allowed to take part in a large vegan street festival in Switzerland, Veganmania Schweiz.

  34. I wonder when the corporate media will report on this as coming from ‘verified sources’:

Normally, North Korea’s official state news agency is the place to go for reports ranging from the reclusive totalitarian state’s unparalleled scientific achievements to the limitless love which its inhabitants reserve for their successive leaders.

Yet in what appears to be a genuine world exclusive, the inimitable Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) has now broken the incredible news that archaeologists in Pyongyang have discovered a unicorn’s lair.

Or rather, the report says that they have “recently reconfirmed” the lair of one of the unicorns ridden by the ancient Korean King Tongmyong, founder of a kingdom which ruled parts of China and the Korean peninsula from the the 3rd century BC to 7th century AD.

The KCNA goes on to state that the location happens to be 200 metres from a temple in the North Korean capital, adding: “A rectangular rock carved with words “Unicorn Lair” stands in front of the lair.”

  35. The first ever full-genome analysis of Ancient Egyptians shows they were more Turkish and European than African.

Scientists analysed ancient DNA from Egyptian mummies dating from 1400 BC to 400 AD and discovered they shared genes with people from the Mediterranean.

They found that ancient Egyptians were closely related to ancient populations in the Levant – now modern day Turkey, Syria, Jordan, Israel and Lebanon.

They were also genetically similar to Neolithic populations from the Anatolian Peninsula and Europe.

The groundbreaking study used recent advances in DNA sequencing techniques to undertake a closer examination of mummy genetics than ever before.

  37. Dumb American lefties dubbed Merkel the leader of the free world. Things look rather different to the rest of Europe, right or left.

Forget the time that Merkel decided to open Europe wide to an invasion with few parallels in recent history. In the EU, France and the UK balanced out German power. Now the Brits are headed for the exit and that leaves France and its weak new leader.

Merkel has already begun throwing her weight around and acting like the leader of Europe as a whole. It’s why European leaders are far more worried about her than President Trump. Forget all the media attempts to sabotage Trump’s visit. European leaders will despise him, just as they despised Bush and Reagan. And, in private, they weren’t too respectful of Obama and Clinton either. Sneering at America is an old game in Europe. But America is the only other balancing force against Germany. American intervention stopped Germany twice. And no one has forgotten it.

European leaders may hold America in contempt, but they also know that we’re not threat to them. And if they have to live with a dominant partner, better a generous one like Uncle Sam than a cheap and mean one like Auntie Angela. And that’s even if she doesn’t invite a few million Afghans, Iraqis, Pakistanis, Syrians and some of their Libyan best friends to trash their country.

    Matt Rinaldi

Today, Representative Poncho Nevarez threatened my life on the House floor after I called ICE on several illegal immigrants who held signs in the gallery which said “I am illegal and here to stay.” Several Democrats encouraged the protestors to disobey law enforcement. When I told the Democrats I called ICE, Representative Ramon Romero physically assaulted me, and other Democrats were held back by colleagues. During that time Poncho told me that he would “get me on the way to my car.” He later approached me and reiterated that “I had to leave at some point, and he would get me.” I made it clear that if he attempted to, in his words, “get me,” I would shoot him in self defense. I am currently under DPS protection. Several of my colleagues heard the threats made and witnessed Ramon assaulting me.
