BALTIMORE (WJZ) — The FBI quietly raided a Republican consulting and fundraising firm in Annapolis Thursday.
The FBI says this is part of a Washington D.C. field office investigation.
Agents have turned off elevator access to the third floor of 191 Main Street, where Strategic Campaign Group is housed, and used trash bags to cover the office windows while they gather evidence.
They came prepared with a warrant to search the office and take files.

“A PAKISTANI boy had his hand chopped off by his cruel boss after he asked for his wages and food, according to local media reports.
Evil landlady Shafqat Bibi wanted to teach 13-year-old Irfan a lesson when he refused to work until she fed and paid him.
Shafqat employed the boy at her house in the Punjab where he fed cattle and carried out odd jobs for a salary of £22 a month
According to reports, he was destitute and starving when he asked for his money.
Irfan’s mother told the Hindustan Times: “Last week, Shafqat Bibi got furious with Irfan when he demanded his salary.
“She cut his right hand with a fodder-cutting machine to teach him a lesson that he demands salary but doesn’t complete his job of feeding the cattle.”
The boy was rushed to a local hospital after the incident but doctors were unable to treat his badly injured hand.
Local police initially refused to investigate the allegations against the landlady but the boy’s mother turned to higher authorities.
According to reports the incident has now come to the attention of Punjab’s chief minister Shahbaz Sharif who has demanded a report from the police over the incident and their inaction…”

General Ayob Amr Ghasem, Libyan Navy spokesman, said that one of the NGO’s boats had sought to stop the rescue operation underway by a Libyan motorboat by threatening to ram into it, according to a document sent to ANSA by the spokesman. The incident occurred on Wednesday morning. The migrant vessel made of wood and carrying almost 500 migrants was intercepted ”19 nautical miles north of Sabratha”, the spokesman said. When the ‘Kifah’ motorboat came close to the migrant vessel, the Sea Watch boat allegedly ”changed direction in such a way to collide with” the Libyan Coast Guard said.
At the same time, the document added, the NGO boat sent a dinghy rapidly towards the boat.
Given the ”persistence of the Coast Guard vessel” in keeping to its route, the Sea Watch one ”changed direction at the last minute to avoid colliding”, Ghasem said. On the basis of contact with the NGO boat, the spokesman said that there was a ”German media team” onboard – Spiegel TV, according to Al Wasat – and ”the organization protested”, by saying that Libya ”isn’t safe for migrants”.

“A Syrian migrant has been jailed for life in Austria for executing 20 wounded government soldiers in his home country.
The court in the western city of Innsbruck announced its ruling late on Wednesday after a jury found the 27-year-old guilty of 20 charges of “murder as a terror offence”.
The man, who denied the charges, was detained in a refugee shelter in Tyrol state last June after being denounced by a fellow Syrian.
According to Austrian media, the accused had boasted to other asylum seekers of belonging to a rebel unit and shooting unarmed or injured troops loyal to Syrian President Bashar-al Assad.
After his arrest, the man initially admitted to the 2013-2014 killings in the western region of Homs but later retracted his confession, saying his testimony had been badly translated.
The translator rejected this in court: “The defendant told me he had shot badly wounded soldiers. I asked him to repeat his claim and he did.”
The man, who was not named, was tried for war crimes under Austrian law.
Austria could not extradite him to face charges in Syria because of the bloody six-year civil war pitting Assad’s troops against rebel groups.”

“The Jewish Community in Denmark will contact police about an imam at a mosque in Copenhagen’s Nørrebro neighbourhood who encouraged attacks on Jews during a Friday service, reports newspaper Kristeligt Dagblad.
The complaint will be based on a video recording of a Friday service at the Masjid al-Faruq mosque in Nørrebro on March 31st this year. The recording was translated from Arabic to English by American institute Memri.
According to the translation, imam Mundhir Abdallah quotes a hadith – a report of a speech by the Prophet Mohammed used in Islamic scripture – which incites violence against Jews.
“‘Judgement Day will not come until the Muslims fight the Jews and kill them.’ The Jews will hide behind the rocks and the trees, but the rocks and trees will say: ‘Oh Muslim, oh servant of Allah, there is a Jew behind me, come and kill him’,” says the imam according to the translation by Memri.
The sermon was also posted by the mosque on its YouTube channel.

“Turkey on Thursday condemned Germany for granting political asylum to numerous military personnel and their families with alleged links to last year’s failed coup, saying the move risked harming relations.
Germany gave positive responses to the asylum petitions of the Turkish nationals holding diplomatic passports, the Sueddeutsche Zeitung daily and public broadcasters WDR and NDR reported. The reports were not officially confirmed by authorities.
Since the unsuccessful coup attempt in July last year, dozens of diplomats, judges, and high-ranking Turkish officials have sought asylum in Germany as Ankara presses ahead with a vast crackdown on alleged supporters of Fethullah Gulen, the US-based preacher who Ankara blames for the coup.
German media reported that 414 military personnel, diplomats, judges and other high-ranking Turkish officials have sought political asylum in Germany.
That number also includes family members.
“We regret that Germany is accepting asylum requests of some former military personnel” linked with Gulen, the Turkish foreign ministry said in a statement.
Gulen, who has been in exile in the United States since 1999, has denied the charges.
“The German decision is a step that is not in line with the spirit of alliance and multi-faced relations between our countries,” the statement added.
The ministry said allowing the asylum requests would mean “tolerating and embracing a pro-coup mentality,” urging Berlin to review its decision.
Relations between two NATO allies Turkey and Germany became strained during the referendum campaign in April to boost President Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s powers.
The arrest of Turkish-German journalist Deniz Yucel on terror-related charges has also gravely alarmed Berlin.
After the failed putsch, Turkish authorities fired, suspended from their jobs or detained over 100,000 people for alleged links to coup plotters or to Kurdish militants.”
