  1. YouTube channel recruiting for al-Qaeda as social media lambasted for not doing enough (express, May 6, 2017)
    http://www.express.co.uk/news/uk/801026/Boris-Johnson-Amber-Rudd-Youtube-Google-ISIS-al-Qaeda-Twitter-terror

“JIHADI terrorists are flagrantly promoting sickening content on YouTube and other social media, creating avenues for them to “radicalise the vulnerable”, the Home Secretary stated.

Channels on the popular video platform have reportedly featured clips which encourage people to join the fight against “disbelievers” and even include advice about how children aged 14 can take part.

Responding to The Times, Amber Rudd, said: “Terrorist groups use social media to radicalise the vulnerable and marginalised.

“Internet companies should be doing more to prevent this… I want to see them going further and faster in finding ways to stop this vile material.”

Her comments come after the newspaper campaigned for the channels to be removed, claiming 22 videos including one which has been online since December 2015 promotes the waging of a “holy war”…”

    • Here’s a simple solution: Offer a financial reward for reporting jihadist content. The system would have to be screened to prevent individuals or groups from establishing channels or posting content specifically in order to claim a reward, but that sort of reverse engineering and tracking is child’s play.

The cost savings of preventing just one terrorist attack could finance many months or years of the remuneration process. See: “Orlando shootings could cost more than $390 million“. Plus, imagine having all those eyes and ears working around the clock to catch this trash.

To up the ante, there even could be a special reward for the person that successfully reports the most incidents each month, quarter, or year. Imagine establishing a grand prize to encourage some bright young equivalent of Larry Page or Sergey Brin to develop a counterjihad search engine for both the cybersphere and the dark web?

Averse though I am to passing any new laws, the Social Media giants are raking in so much cash—and doing so much damage to society—to where I don’t feel much in the way of reluctance about making it a legal mandate that these companies have to put in place some sort of screening system. Then merely give them the choice of performing the time consuming and expensive task themselves or having the public do it for them. Ideally, it would be a combination of the two (using key-word searches and audio-visual analysis, along with viewer input).

  2. I have n idea if this site is trustworthy, so, please, treat the information as such. However, if what it says is accurate, then it is important to know.

The Macron leaks contain secret proposals that would lead to the islamisation of France and Europe. These are shown in a Powerpoint presentation which appears to have come from the Institut Montaigne. Harmonising education between countries on different sides of the Mediterranean is one of the key objectives.
Create a common history textbook with Italy, Spain, Morocco, Algeria and Tunisia (3) in order to put in perspective the historical contributions and religious convergences between the two shores of the Mediterranean.
Within the 3+3 framework, we recommend the creation of a commission of historians responsible for drawing up a common history textbook. The aim of this work will be:
-to create a common base of objective historical knowledge founded on the logic of a historical “draw” [stalemate]
    – to develop a sense of belonging to a common history
    – to reduce the fantasies of victimisation on one side as well as civilisational superiority on the other
The document also recommends the introduction of Arabic teaching to French schools, including bi-lingual classes. This is justified by with the claim that Muslims are currently getting their “Arabic fix” from mosques, where they risk being radicalised. I previously noted that “soft islamisation” is being advocated as the remedy for “hard islamisation” and that this represents a kind of de facto reward being offered to jihad violence. Jihad gets results. It leads to societies being islamised, one way or the other.

  3. (Richard: first click through and read the rest of the article. Second think about how the leftist Judges are attacking the rule of law and civilization, the actions of the activist Judges are actions taken by Judges in Dictatorships. They make up laws to achieve their political goals, the problem here in the US is that the voters have already rejected this political agenda and are now finding unelected Judges saying the votes don’t count because they go against what the Judges want, I repeat what the Judges want, not what the law says but what the Judges want.)

    Fake Law
    How Trump-hatred warps the judiciary.

Something ugly is happening to the First Amendment. It is being contorted to enable judges to protest Donald Trump’s presidency. The perennial impulse of judges to manipulate the law to achieve morally and politically desirable ends has only been exacerbated by the felt necessity to “resist” Trump. The result: Legal tests concerning the freedoms of speech and religion that in some cases were already highly dubious are being further deformed and twisted.

Welcome to the rise of fake law. Just as fake news spreads ideologically motivated misinformation with a newsy veneer, fake law brings us judicial posturing, virtue signaling, and opinionating masquerading as jurisprudence. And just as fake news augurs the end of authoritative reporting, fake law portends the diminution of law’s legitimacy and the warping of judges’ self-understanding of their constitutional role.

Those who try to police the relentlessly transformational projects of constitutional progressives had much to dread from the Obama administration, an inveterate ally of the legal left that did what it could to graft the aspirations of progressives onto the Constitution. But Trump’s presidency may be even worse, because too many judges now feel called to “resist” Trump and all his works—no matter the cost to the law’s authority and to the integrity of the judicial role.

In one recent deformation, Trump was sued for incitement to riot and assault and battery when, at a campaign rally before he became president, he said “Get ’em out of here” in response to protesters in the audience. Several of these protesters were subsequently pushed and struck by others in the crowd. A Kentucky federal district judge ruled that the case against Trump could proceed because “Get ’em out of here” could reasonably be interpreted as an exhortation to attack the protesters.

The most astonishing part is the court’s conclusion that the statement is not protected by the speech clause of the First Amendment because it is plausible to think Trump was inciting a riot. Though the court cites the highly speech-protective test from Brandenburg v. Ohio, in which the Supreme Court held that the freedom of speech does not permit the government “to forbid or proscribe advocacy of the use of force or of law violation except where such advocacy is directed to inciting or producing imminent lawless action and is likely to incite or produce such action,” it mangles it. What part of “Get ’em out of here” could plausibly be interpreted as advocating illegal activity, rather than a call for the assistance of security officers? Where is the explicit advocacy of illegality?

    http://www.weeklystandard.com/fake-law/article/2007934

    • Simple answer, pass legislation making judges legally liable for the legal and court costs whenever their “fake laws” are successfully overturned. Again, I detest making new laws but these “activist judges” are perverting our legal system and Constitutional Rights.

      • If memory serves me correctly Mark Levin’s Liberty Amendments includes one that would make it a crime with serious jail time for any Judge to use any interpretation other then original intent.

  4. Rochester is a gateway city for refugee resettlement, and it is being systematically destroyed. Violent crime is at unprecedented levels. Daily reports of gunfights are not uncommon.
Minnesota was chosen as a designated site for settling Muslims. Minnesotans are a people who are — sadly — easy to manipulate through guilt and to push around through power.

Recent incidents: Two Somali bringers of cultural diversity caught in shootout near Olive Garden. One or two more Muslims being sought.

    • Sorta makes you wish there was some way of putting in place a clause in all immigration papers that specifies summary execution if they are convicted of committing a felony before becoming a naturalized citizen or obtaining a green card.

      • That’s an interesting idea, just think of the number of strokes in the left if it were put into US Code.

        • “That’s an interesting idea, just think of the number of strokes in the left if it were put into US Code.”

In my imagination (ideally), it would sound like lighting off a mile-long string of 1 ½” firecrackers. Wishful thinking, I know. Still, there’s always hope.

  5. Award-winning illegal’s Berkeley values: ‘Beating sh** out of’ these people for Cinco de Mayo
By LU Staff May 5, 2017

An illegal immigrant student at the University of California, Berkeley, suggested “beating the sh** out of white people” Thursday.

Juan Prieto, an English student at UC Berkeley, made the remark on Twitter two days after receiving Berkeley’s Robert J. and Mary Catherine Birgeneau Recognition Award for Service to Undocumented Students.

“Let’s celebrate 5 de Mayo by going to Dolores Park and beating the sh** out of white people, in the spirit of La Batalla de Pueblo,” tweeted Prieto, who later locked his Twitter account. The illegal immigrant student referred to a battle in Mexico in which the Mexican army defeated French occupiers.

  6. Europe’s Childless Leaders Sleepwalking Us to Disaster

    by Giulio Meotti
    May 6, 2017 at 5:00 am

    https://www.gatestoneinstitute.org/10306/childless-europe

There have never been so many childless politicians leading Europe as today. They are modern, open minded and multicultural and they know that “everything finishes with them”. In the short term, being childless is a relief since it means no spending for families, no sacrifices and that no one complains about the future consequences. As in a research report financed by the European Union: “No kids, no problem!”.

Being a mother or a father, however, means that you have a very real stake in the future of the country you lead. Europe’s most important leaders leave no children behind.

Europe’s most important leaders are all childless: British PM Theresa May, German Chancellor Angela Merkel, Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte and the French presidential hopeful Emmanuel Macron. The list continues with Swedish Prime Minister Stefan Löfven, Luxembourg’s Prime Minister Xavier Bettel and Scottish Prime Minister Nicola Sturgeon.

As Europe’s leaders have no children, they seem have no reason to worry about the future of their continent. German philosopher Rüdiger Safranski wrote:

“for the childless, thinking in terms of the generations to come loses relevance. Therefore, they behave more and more as if they were the last and see themselves as standing at the end of the chain”.

    • It amounts to an attitude of, “Après moi, le déluge”. As long as these turds are getting theirs, they could give a rat’s @ss what happens after their departure from this mortal coil.

      • You got it, they are interested in themselves only, they have no empathy.

        • Make no mistake, these EU bastards have plenty of empathy. However, it’s reserved strictly for the “immigrants” and not for indigenous Europeans.

The tumbrels cannot start rolling soon enough.

          • Is it empathy or self interest, I think that when the immigrants are no longer useful to the left they will be thrown under the bus.

            • “I think that when the immigrants are no longer useful to the left they will be thrown under the bus.”

Faster than you can say, “knife” crime.

The biggest problem is that brain dead Liberals have ZERO concept of how Muslim invaders will be throwing them “under the [proverbial] bus” long before they have any chance of returning the favor.

In fact, this is a central issue: as in how Liberals keep on thinking that, some way, they can continue to open the gates to these sub-moron savages demographically displacing barbarians yet, magically, hope to somehow snatch the reins of power out of their hands mere moments before the final takeover happens. One might as well hope to veer the Titanic from its collision course seconds before impact.

At the very least, this lunatic brinkmanship is what makes Modern (non-Classical) Liberals so insanely incredibly dangerous. They have no compunction about leading Western Civilization right to the very brink of destruction in a faint hope that they will be (magically) granted this supremely unmerited and unavailable power to gain control.

The possibility that these Liberal morons (unsuccessfully) will have risked handing over control of humanity’s supreme achievements to a horde of goat-humping, camel-prodding, bunch of sand loving, lamb eating cretins seems to have no more import to them than proven, empirical evidence that contradicts their addiction to “Anthropogenic Global Warming”.

              [GAAAAAAAH!!!!!!!]

              • And we are caught in the middle, the only good thing is that we can shoot at both sides knowing they are deadly enemies.

  7. BREITBART -Hungary Demands ‘Coward’ EU Vice-President Resign After He Brands Criticism of Soros ‘Anti-Semitic’

Hungary has demanded the resignation of the European Commission’s First Vice-president, Frans Timmermans, after he branded Prime Minister Viktor Orbán an anti-Semite for criticising billionaire mass immigration campaigner George Soros.
In a fiery address to the European Parliament in April 2017, the Hungarian leader accused Soros of “ruining the lives of millions of European with his financial speculations”.

The financier is best known in the United Kingdom as “the man who broke the Bank of England”, having raked in one and a half billion dollars from betting heavily against sterling in 1992.

Nonetheless, former Dutch foreign minister Timmermans told the German liberal newspaper Die Zeit that he agreed the comments were “anti-semitic” and claimed to have been “appalled” by them.

At a press conference in Budapest on Friday, Hungarian foreign minister Péter Szijjártó categorically denied the First Vice-president’s accusation in a decisive and unequivocal response:

“We introduced the National Memorial Day for the Victims of the Holocaust, have renovated synagogues not just in Hungary, but also in neighbouring countries, and have made Holocaust denial a punishable offence according to the new Penal Code,” he declared.

“Hungary’s new constitution … guarantees the security of Hungarian Jews as part of the Hungarian nation, and the Hungarian Jewish Community can always count on the respect, friendship and protection of the Hungarian government”.

An official press release from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade described Timmermans’s allegations as “an extreme insult to Hungary”, and Szijjártó was clear that, “if an EU official gravely insults a member-state on such an issue, then he can have no choice but to resign from office”.

Szijjártó also said the First Vice-President was a coward for making his remarks in an interview with German media outlet well after Prime Minister Orbán’s address to the European Parliament, “when nobody [from the Hungarian government] could respond to it immediately”.

The minister was clear that Budapest has major issues with Soros, but insisted they have “absolutely nothing to do with George Soros’s origins or religion”.

“All this is about the fact that – through his organisations in Hungary, and hidden from the public gaze – George Soros is spending endless amounts of money to support illegal immigration,” Orbán told Magyar Id?k on April 15.

“To pursue his interests he pays a number of lobbying organisations operating in the guise of civil society. He maintains a regular network, with its own promoters, its own media, hundreds of people, and its own university. He wants to keep the pressure on Hungary: the country which expects even the likes of George Soros to observe its laws.

“I believe that George Soros must not be underestimated: he is a powerful billionaire of enormous determination who, when it comes to his interests, respects neither God nor man. We want to protect Hungary, and so we must also commit ourselves to this struggle.”

    http://www.breitbart.com/london/2017/05/06/hungary-demand-eu-vice-president-resign-after-he-brands-criticism-of-soros-anti-semitic/

    • Labels, character assassination, lies and more elaborate lies…nothing but the commie bag of dirty tricks applied to a whole underdog nation.

    • Considering the anti semitic actions of so many of the EU nations it takes a special kind of gall to make those statements.

    • This is simply the wildest inversion yet!

I’m passing this along – for a laugh. Ron Lauder’s hardly a shrinking violet. And since he speaks Hungarian, nothing’s lost in translation.

  8. France fights to keep Macron email hack from distorting election (reuters, May 6, 2017)
    http://uk.reuters.com/article/uk-france-election-idUKKBN1820BM

“France sought to keep a computer hack of frontrunner Emmanuel Macron’s campaign emails from influencing the outcome of the presidential election, with the electoral commission warning on Saturday that it may be a criminal offence to republish the data.

Macron’s team said a “massive” hack had dumped emails, documents and campaign financing information online just before campaigning ended on Friday and France entered a quiet period, effectively forbidding politicians from commenting on the leak.

Polls have been predicting that Macron, a former investment banker and economy minister, is on course for a comfortable win over far-right leader Marine Le Pen in Sunday’s election, with the last surveys showing his lead widening to around 62 percent to 38.

“We knew that this kind of risk would be present during the presidential campaign, because it has happened elsewhere. Nothing will be left without a response,” French President Francois Hollande told French news agency AFP.

The election commission, which supervises the electoral process, warned social and traditional media not to publish the hacked emails lest they influence the vote outcome, but may find it difficult to enforce its rules in an era where people get much of their news online, information flows freely across borders and many users are anonymous.

“On the eve of the most important election for our institutions, the commission calls on everyone present on internet sites and social networks, primarily the media, but also all citizens, to show responsibility and not to pass on this content, so as not to distort the sincerity of the ballot,” the commission said in a statement on Saturday.

“The commission stresses that publication or republication of these data…could be a criminal offence,” it said.

French media covered the hack in various ways, with left-leading Liberation giving it prominence on its website but television news channels opting not to mention it.

Le Monde newspaper said on its website it would not publish the content of any of the leaked documents before the election, partly because the huge amount of data meant there was not enough time to report on it properly, but also because the dossiers had been published on purpose 48 hours before the election with the clear aim of affecting the vote.

“If these documents contain revelations, Le Monde will of course publish them after having investigated them, respecting our journalistic and ethical rules, and without allowing ourselves to be exploited by the publishing calendar of anonymous actors,” it said.

As the #Macronleaks hashtag buzzed around social media on Friday night, Florian Philippot, deputy leader of Le Pen’s National Front party, tweeted “Will Macronleaks teach us something that investigative journalism has deliberately kept silent?”

    DESTABILISATION

As much as 9 gigabytes of data purporting to be documents from the Macron campaign were posted on a profile called EMLEAKS to Pastebin, a site that allows anonymous document sharing.

It was not immediately clear who was responsible, but Macron’s political movement said in a statement the hack was an attempt to destabilise democracy and to damage the party.

En Marche! said the leaked documents dealt with the normal operations of a campaign and included some information on campaign accounts. It said the hackers had mixed false documents with authentic ones to “sow doubt and disinformation.”

Sunday’s election is seen as the most important in France for decades, with two diametrically opposed views of Europe and the country’s place in the world at stake.

Le Pen would close borders and quit the euro currency, while Macron wants closer European cooperation and an open economy….”

  9. Egypt’s Al-Azhar university replaces head in apostasy row (reuters, May 6, 2017)
    http://uk.reuters.com/article/uk-egypt-alahzar-idUKKBN1820H4

“The head of Egypt’s Al-Azhar university, the 1,000-year-old seat of Sunni Muslim learning, has been replaced after describing a leading Islamic researcher as an apostate, official media reports said on Saturday.

Al-Azhar said its Grand Imam, Sheikh Ahmed al-Tayeb, had named Mohamed Hussein al-Mahrsawy, dean of the Arabic language faculty, as the university’s acting president following the resignation of Ahmed Hosny and pending the appointment of a permanent successor.

The ahramonline news site said Hosny had quit after being criticised for describing researcher Islam El-Behery, known for controversial interpretations of Islamic jurisprudence, as an apostate.

The shake-up comes as the university, one of the most prominent Sunni academic institutions, faces criticism from Egypt’s parliament and sections of the media, who say its clerics have resisted pressure to modernise their religious discourse to help the fight against extremism.

Al-Azhar last month played host to Pope Francis, who visited Cairo to improve relations between Catholics and Muslims.”

  10. Man, 23, killed in knife attack in west London (theguardian, May 6, 2017)
    https://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2017/may/06/man-23-killed-in-knife-attack-in-west-london

“A 23-year-old man has died from a stab wound in the latest in a string of London knife attacks in recent weeks.

The victim, from Hayes in west London, was found unconscious by police shortly after 1am on Saturday, following a call from London ambulance service to Waterloo Road in Uxbridge.

The man was taken to a hospital in west London but succumbed to his injuries shortly after.

Police have opened a murder investigation and urged witnesses to come forward. No arrests have been made.

DCI Andrew Packer, who is leading the investigation, said: “A young man has lost his life and I am appealing to the public to give us all the help they can. In particular I would ask anyone who was in the vicinity of Waterloo Road from midnight to early in the morning to call us.

“If you saw or heard anything please do not hesitate; your information could be vital.”

Police believe they know who the victim is but are awaiting formal identification.

The death comes a day after a man in his 30s was fatally stabbed following an incident at a barber shop in Harlesden, north-west London. Police are investigating.

The latest incident tops a fortnight of knife crime in the capital in which 10 other victims suffered fatal or serious stab wounds.

On Wednesday, the Metropolitan police launched the latest phase in its campaign to crack down on knife crime.”

    • “On Wednesday, the Metropolitan police launched the latest phase in its campaign to crack down on knife crime.”

Fecking useless morons. It’s not the weapon. It’s the person holding it.

Anyone want to bet against how over 90% of this “knife crime” is committed by Muslims?

      [crickets]

      • The left always wants to blame the weapon since most of their supporters don’t realize that someone who knows what they are doing or ar desperate enough can make a weapon out of anything.

        • Work with me here, Richard.

Do you mean to say that all I have to do is just drive a few dozen duplex nails into a baseball bat and (suddenly!) that instrument becomes far more easy to obtain and less conspicuous than carrying around a fully loaded AK-47>?!?!?!?!?!? [/sarcasm]

What hope is there of preventing [horreurs!] “baseball-bat-crime”, “vehicle-crime”, “knife-crime”, or [gasp!] “GUN-CRIME” in the face of such difficult-to-enforce criminal prosecution???

After all, how much global terrorism depends upon firearms … as opposed to bomb vests, RPGs, IEDs, or select Muslim weapons???

          Inquiring minds want to know!!!

          • I wonder if they realize that if you have some rebar, a charcoal BBQ grill a hammer and some concrete to use as a whetstone you have a knife?

Or that if you have some galvanized1/2″ water pipe a cap, nail and part of an inner tube you have a smoothbore 45 cal single shot?

Weapons control laws are all about controlling people and people are notoriously impossible hard to control when they have been pushed too far.

“The popular governor was the clear front-runner.

Despite his religion, a Christian in Muslim-majority Indonesia, Gov. Basuki Tjahaja Purnama of Jakarta held a commanding lead in the polls.

Then, in a campaign speech in September, he made a fatal reference to a verse of the Quran. A video, edited to make it seem that he had said the Muslim holy book was misleading people, went viral on Facebook.

Mr. Basuki was charged with blasphemy, mass rallies were mobilized against him and despite a tearful apology, he was trounced in a runoff election last month.

“A half-minute destroyed his career,” said Komaruddin Hidayat, a former rector of Syarif Hidayatullah State Islamic University Jakarta.

“Two armed men suspected of making bombs were killed in a shoot-out with Egyptian security forces in an area north of Cairo, the Interior Ministry said on Saturday.

A statement said the two men, aged 25 and 44, were “responsible for manufacturing and transporting explosives to armed groups affiliated with the Muslim Brotherhood”.

The ministry said the groups were Hasm and Lewaa al-Thawra. The Brotherhood, which says it is a peaceful organisation, was banned by the government after the overthrow of President Mohamed Mursi, who had been the Brotherhood candidate, in 2013.

Hasm claimed responsibility for an attack that killed three policemen in Cairo on Monday. Little is publicly known about Hasm, though it has claimed a handful of attacks over the past year.

In addition to attacks claimed by Hasm, Egypt is also facing an insurgency by the local affiliate of Islamic State, both in the Sinai peninsula and more recently in Cairo and other cities, where bomb attacks on churches have killed more than 70 people since December.”

The individual, who wished to remain anonymous, said it was their ‘civic duty’ to report the comments which he alleges were in breach of the Defamation Act.”

    • On the road to Sharia.
He wasn’t talking about Moh or Allah-ha, so this is to teach us about the New World Order. Break us in. Break us.

Well, there are simple workarounds, for example:
A verbal equivalent to “G-d”. The spoken Hebrew simply translates to “The Name”. Nothing taken in vain, no misunderstandings.

Nothing understood, either. Safest to play zombie.
Next time: “Dog-backwards is mean-minded and stupid.”

  17. Gallup: ‘Syrian Refugees Not Welcome in Eastern Europe’ — 70 Percent of Hungarians Oppose Admission (breitbart, May 6, 2017)
    http://www.breitbart.com/big-government/2017/05/06/gallup-syrian-refugees-not-welcome-eastern-europe-70-percent-hungarians-oppose-admission/

“A Gallup poll released on Friday shows that large majorities in Eastern Europe oppose allowing Syrian refugees admission to their country.

“Hundreds of thousands of Syrians were still seeking asylum [in Eastern Europe] last year,” the report on the survey said. “If many in Eastern Europe had their way, however, the number would be zero.”

“In nine out of 15 Eastern European countries and areas surveyed in 2016, at least half the population believed their country should not accept any Syrian refugees,” the report said.

Gallup reported that many of the countries with the strongest opposition to allowing Syrian refugees are located along the Balkan route used by asylum seekers from Greece to Germany, which was effectively closed last March after European leaders made a deal with Turkey.

The agreement required that for every Syrian migrant sent back to Turkey, one already in Turkey would relocate to the European Union, Gallup’s report explained, noting that its survey took place after the deal was struck.

Hungarians represent the highest percentage of Eastern Europeans opposed to Syrians being allowed into their country, with seven out of ten, 70 percent, opposing refugee relocation.

“Sentiment was similarly high (66 percent) in non-EU member state Macedonia, which was on the front lines of the migrant wave in 2015 and sealed its border with Greece to keep them out,” Gallup reported. “No more than 8 percent of residents in any country or area surveyed in 2016 said their country should accept all Syrian refugees.”

The poll also revealed that people with larger Muslim populations, such as Bosnia and Herzegovina, Albania, and Kosovo, were more open to allowing refugees from majority-Muslim Syria. Kosovo was the most open to accepting a limited number of Syrian refugees, with 49 percent…”

  18. 350 Islamic State Fighters Returning to the UK Pose Terrorist Threat (breitbart, May 6, 2017)
    http://www.breitbart.com/london/2017/05/06/350-islamic-state-fighters-returning-uk-pose-terrorist-threat/

“Security services have identified 350 Islamic State militants who have returned to Britain from Syria and who pose a potential terror threat.

This is in addition to the 3,000 violent Islamist extremists that MI5 has confirmed are already in the country, Whitehall sources have told The Times.

MI5 has said 850 people have traveled from the UK to Islamic State-controlled parts of Syria. Whilst some that have returned are designated as ‘disillusioned with extremism’ and allegedly pose no danger, a large number subscribe to Islamist ideology and are trained to handle firearms and explosives.

At the end of 2016, the Belgian interior minister said a “wave” of between 3,000 and 5,000 Islamic State jihadists who have European passports could return to the continent, as the terror group begins to lose territory in Iraq and Syria.

The newspaper reports that keeping one jihadist under 24-hour surveillance requires between 24 and 30 police or intelligence officers, and puts enormous strain on intelligence services.

High-risk suspects who are believed to be engaged in planning attacks need to be subject to man-hour intensive physical surveillance as they are most aware of techniques to avoid electronic eavesdropping by GCHQ and MI5…”

  20. US, Saudi Arabia negotiating major arms deal — reportCountries said working to seal weapons contracts worth tens of billions of dollars ahead of Trump’s visit

The United States is seeking to finalize arms deals worth tens of billions of dollars with Saudi Arabia ahead of US President Donald Trump’s visit to Riyadh later this month, Reuters reported Friday.

Trump is due to arrive in Saudi Arabia in late May as part of his first foreign trip since becoming US president, after which he will visit Israel. He is also set to travel to the Vatican, as well as NATO and G7 summits in Brussels and Sicily.

The proposed weapons contracts are said to include the Terminal High Altitude Area Defense anti-missile system (THAAD), which costs $1 billion and was recently deployed by the US in South Korea to defend against the threat of North Korean missiles.

Also being discussed as part of the package are the Bradley Fighting Vehicle and the M109 artillery piece, as well as the Littoral Combat Ship, according to Reuters.

In addition, some $1 billion-worth of munitions are said to be part of the deal, including armor-piercing warheads and laser-guided bombs.

A weapons deal of this magnitude would need the approval of Congress, which is legally required to ensure that any potential weapons sales do not erode Israel’s Qualitative Military Edge.

Furthermore, a number of US lawmakers have previously objected to weapons deals with Saudi Arabia over concerns of the kingdom’s involvement in Yemen’s civil war, although proponents say they are necessary to act as a deterrent against Iran and to combat the Islamic State terror group.

The Reuters report came as a Saudi delegation led by Foreign Minister Adel al-Jubeir met in Washington this week with top US lawmakers and officials, including US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson.

Members of the Saudi contingent also held meetings with White House officials on Monday and Tuesday to lay the groundwork for Trump’s visit, during which they also discussed the proposed arms sales and cracking down on terror financing, according to Reuters.

The US has long been the main military backer of Saudi Arabia, ever since US president Franklin Roosevelt promised to guarantee the country’s security in exchange for access to the kingdom’s abundant oil reserves during a 1945 meeting with Ibn Saud, the founder of the modern Saudi state.

Why Liberal Jews are so willing to commit suicide-by-Muslim, even as they whinge about Antisemitism, is utterly beyond me. All I know is that they are sealing their own fate.
