Europe heading for religious wars according to Turk who wants Europe to head for religious wars.
The world is heading for a WWII replay, Erdogan and the left is creating a religious war in Europe and the Middle East and North Korea is setting the stage for a war between the Western Nations in the Pacific and China. The big difference this time is that we won’t have the American left on our side in this war and there will probably (better then 50% chance) a civil war in the US during the first part of the first kinetic part of WWIII.

BOGOTA, Colombia
Facing a bread shortage that is spawning massive lines and souring the national mood, the Venezuelan government is responding this week by detaining bakers and seizing establishments.
In a press release, the National Superintendent for the Defense of Socioeconomic Rights said it had charged four people and temporarily seized two bakeries as the socialist administration accused bakers of being part of a broad “economic war” aimed at destabilizing the country.

In a statement, the government said the bakers had been selling underweight bread and were using price-regulated flour to illegally make specialty items, like sweet rolls and croissants.
The government said bakeries are only allowed to produce French bread and white loaves, or pan canilla, with government-imported flour. However, in a tweet on Thursday, price control czar William Contreras said only 90 percent of baked goods had to be price-controlled products.

Venezuela arrests brownie and croissant bakers in ‘bread war’
[Reuters]

CARACAS (Reuters) – Venezuela this week arrested four bakers making illegal brownies and other pastries as President Nicolas Maduro’s socialist government threatens to take over bakeries in Caracas as part of a new “bread war”.
Maduro has sent inspectors and soldiers into more than 700 bakeries around the capital this week to enforce a rule that 90 percent of wheat must be destined to loaves rather than more expensive pastries and cakes.

US says ‘strategic patience’ on NK is over
Tillerson says military option is on the table, calls China’s THAAD retaliation ‘inappropriate, troubling’
With Washington taking a North Korea policy overhaul, US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson on Friday declared that the existing “strategic patience” approach is over, saying all options including military action are on the table.
At a joint news conference with Seoul’s Foreign Minister Yun Byung-se, Tillerson also urged China to cease its economic retaliation against South Korea over its plan to host a US missile shield here, calling it “unnecessary, inappropriate and troubling.”
“Efforts for North Korea to achieve a peaceful stability for the last two decades have failed to make us safe,” the secretary said.

Rex Tillerson: Pre-emptive military action against North Korea is an option
Secretary of State Rex Tillerson says pre-emptive military action against North Korea is possible “if they elevate the threat of their weapons program to a level that we believe requires action.”
“All of the options are on the table,” Tillerson said when asked at a press conference Friday with South Korean foreign minister Yun Byung-se in Seoul whether he would rule out military conflict against North Korea.
His comments came after a visit to the militarized border between South Korea and North Korea and a day before the U.S. secretary of state is to arrive in Beijing for meetings with Chinese officials.
As if to underline Tillerson’s remarks, President Trump later on Friday tweeted that “North Korea is behaving very badly” and that “China has done little to help.”

Tillerson Doesn’t Rule Out Preemptive Strike on North Korea
Secretary of State Rex Tillerson said the U.S. is considering “all options” to counter North Korea’s nuclear threat while criticizing China over moves to block a missile-defense system on the peninsula.
In some of his most detailed comments yet on North Korea, Tillerson ruled out a negotiated freeze of its nuclear weapons program and called for a wider alliance to counter Kim Jong Un’s regime. He also left the military option on the table if the North Korean threat gets too large.
“If they elevate the threat of their weapons programs to a level that we believe requires action, that option is on the table,” Tillerson told reporters on Friday on a trip to South Korea when asked about the possibility of a military strike. He ruled out talks with North Korea until it commits to giving up its nuclear weapons.
Hours later, President Donald Trump said on Twitter that North Korea was ”behaving very badly.”

Sirens blare as Japan, fearing North Korea, holds first missile drill
Sirens blared and loudspeakers broadcast warnings in Japan’s first civilian missile evacuation drill on Friday, conducted in a fishing town by officials wary about the threat of North Korean missiles.
The exercise comes more than a week after North Korea launched four ballistic missiles into the sea off Japan’s northwest coast, with one rocket landing about 200 km (124 miles)from the town of Oga.
Friday’s drill played out a scenario in which North Korea had fired a ballistic missile on the Japanese islands.
“The missile is seen to have landed within a 20-km (12-mile) boundary west of the Oga peninsula,” a speaker blared during the evacuation. “The government is currently examining the damage.” (For a graphic on missile evacuation drill in Oga, Japan, click tmsnrt.rs/2ngq11y)
Residents of the largely rural peninsula jutting into the ocean about 450 km (280 miles) north of the capital, Tokyo, made their way to a designated evacuation center equipped with emergency kits and protective gear.

Student ‘fascinated by firearms’ wounds four in French school shooting
GRASSE, France (Reuters) – A teenager opened fire at his high school in southeastern France on Thursday, wounding up to four people, in an attack apparently inspired by videos of U.S. mass shootings such as Columbine, officials said.
The incident in Grasse, which does not appear to be linked to militancy, comes with France on high alert after more than 230 people were killed in the past two years by attackers allied to Islamic State.
“It was total panic,” Achraf, a student in the school, said on BFM TV. “The gunshots were at 4 to 5 meters from where we were. We thought the gunman was coming toward us. We heard him shouting.”
France’s Education Minister Najat Vallaud-Belkacem visited the scene in Grasse, a town known for its perfume industry, and said the attack appeared to be “a crazy act by a fragile young man fascinated by firearms”.
“His motivations seem to be linked to bad relations he had with other students in school,” Grasse prosecutor Fabienne Atzori told reporters.
With a presidential election less than six weeks away, the attack by a 16-year-old armed with a shotgun loaded with lead pellets looked likely to further stoke France’s debate on security.

Letter bomb at IMF’s Paris office injures woman employee
PARIS (Reuters) – A female employee of the International Monetary Fund suffered injuries to her face and arms on Thursday when a letter bomb mailed from Greece and addressed to the world lender’s European representative blew up as she opened it, officials said.
The letter, which had arrived by mail, exploded as it was opened by a secretary at the institution’s office in an upscale part of Paris.
The secretary, whose hearing was also affected, was receiving treatment but her injuries were not life-threatening, Paris police chief Michel Cadot told reporters. The blast caused little damage to the office.
The letter was intended for the IMF’s European representative, according to police. Jeffrey Franks, a 24-year veteran of the fund, has been director of the IMF’s Europe office since March 2015, according to its website.
Paris anti-terrorism prosecutors opened an investigation.
A militant Greek group, Conspiracy of Fire Cells, claimed responsibility for a parcel bomb mailed to German Finance Minister Wolfgang Schaeuble on Wednesday, but there was no immediate claim for the Paris attack.

The following is a brand new virtue signalling TV advertising for the German rail company Deutsche Bahn called “ToleranceTime” (ToleranzZeit).
(Warning – the following clip can cause unexpected projectile vomiting and depression)
Translated description from PI-news:
https://www.pi-news.net/2017/03/db-kluge-moslemfrau-vs-deutscher-rassist/
A new commercial from the Deutsche Bahn (DB) is called Tolerance Time. In this, we not only finally learn where the future Muslim academicians are hiding (they are riding in trains)-but also that German men with average intellect are islamophobic and need help to think.
In the spot, we see seated across from each other a headscarfed muslin woman and a medical student.
(Obviously starring at his covered up traveling companion we hear the inner dialog in his voice asking) “Why is she wearing this headscarf? Does she have to? Does she want that? Does her family or her husband make her wear it? She is not that old. And what is she reading anyway? The Qur’an, probably, what else? The German “Nazi” asks about his disguised counterpart, then tries to concentrate again on his studies, and asks himself, but thoughtfully out loud,” Where is this Nucleus Preopticus? “The Moslem looks up and answers:” On the hypothalamus. ”

“A FATHER and son have died after a knifeman slit their throats in a stabbing in Paris in broad daylight.
Police sources say the men were discovered with their throats slit outside a building in the French capital’s 11th district.
Both men died at the scene as paramedics tried to save them.
The attack happened on Rue de Montreuil in the east of the French capital near Place de la Nation.
One resident told Le Parisien: “I went down. I saw a body in the hall, a body in the yard and a third person sitting with the firemen and policemen around. There was blood everywhere.”
Armed police surrounded the scene as officers launched an investigation into the attack.
Police have arrested a man in connection with the attack. He is said to be a family member.
Police sources have called for caution on the motives of the knifeman.
Judicial police are leading the investigation.
Local media say the father was killed in the courtyard of the building.
The knifeman, said to be his son, is thought to have stabbed him in the stomach before slitting his throat.
Witnesses said the killer then sat by the body.
Police have set up a psychological unit on the ground floor for those affected by witnessing the killing.
Traffic was stopped in the area with firefighters and SWAT officers at the scene throughout Friday afternoon.
The attack comes amid high security in the city just hours before Prince William and his wife the Duchess of Cambridge visit to meet President Francois Hollande.

Israel shoots down anti-aircraft missile launched against its air force (express, Mar 17, 2017)
http://www.express.co.uk/news/world/780461/israel-syria-conflict-missile-anti-aircraft-air-force
“THE Israeli military said it shot down one of numerous anti-aircraft missiles launched on Friday at its air force which was operating in Syria.
Rocket sirens had sounded in Israeli settlements in the Jordan Valley in the occupied West Bank and two Reuters witnesses heard an explosion a few minutes later.
The military said in its statement that one of the anti-aircraft missiles had been intercepted.
The blast was heard as far away as Jerusalem, dozens of miles away. There were no reports of casualties or damage.
“Overnight IAF (Israeli Air Force) aircraft targeted several targets in Syria.
“Several anti-aircraft missiles were launched from Syria following the mission and IDF (Israel Defence Force) Aerial Defence Systems intercepted one of the missiles,” the military said in its statement.
Israel has carried out dozens of strikes to prevent weapons smuggling to the Iranian-backed Lebanese group Hezbollah, which is fighting rebels alongside the Syrian army.
Iran, Israel’s arch-enemy, has been Syrian President Bashar al-Assad’s staunchest backer and has provided militia fighters to help him. Israel is concerned Hezbollah, with which it fought a war in 2006, is trying to obtain sophisticated weapons it could use against Israel.
Last week Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu met in Moscow with Russian President Vladimir Putin to discuss what he charged were Iran’s attempts to establish a permanent military foothold in Syria.”

2 sentenced for making Nigerian nanny essentially ‘a slave’ (abcnews, Mar 17, 2017)
http://abcnews.go.com/International/wireStory/sentenced-making-nigerian-nanny-essentially-slave-46199676
“A Pennsylvania couple has been sentenced to federal prison for sneaking a Nigerian woman into the country so she could basically become what a judge called “a slave.”
John and Godever Ibechem were sentenced Thursday to serve nine months each, The Express-Times in Easton reported (http://bit.ly/2nMnybQ).
The nanny “essentially became a slave,” according to U.S. District Court Judge Edward Smith.
The Palmer Township couple acknowledged they plotted to smuggle the woman in to care for their two sons, ages 1 and 2, and didn’t pay her minimum wage. She was 54 when she posed as John Ibechem’s mother, who was actually dead, and used the mother’s passport to enter the U.S. unlawfully.
The victim provided around-the-clock care for the children and was paid about $20 every other week. She was swindled out of about $205,000 in wages, prosecutors said.
“I felt trapped. I thought I was going to die,” the woman said in a letter read Thursday in federal court. She wasn’t in court for the sentencing.
Defense attorney Gilbert Scutti said the couple also sent money to the nanny’s family in Nigeria.
“I’m not going to say it was all roses when she was here, but we’re not talking about physical abuse, sexual abuse or deprivation of liberty,” Scutti said.
The Ibechems agreed to pay the woman $50,000 as part a plea deal.
John Ibechem, who was born in Nigeria, as was his wife, said he wouldn’t treat someone like an indentured servant.
“That’s not my nature,” he said. “That’s not in my family’s nature.””

“Justice Department attorneys say a judge shouldn’t block President Donald Trump’s travel ban in the case of a Syrian family trying to relocate to Wisconsin.
A Syrian man who settled in Wisconsin filed a lawsuit last month saying his family remains in Aleppo and the ban could jeopardize their visa chances.
U.S. District Judge William Conley issued a temporary order last week barring the Trump administration from enforcing the ban against the family. The Syrian man now wants an injunction, which would further cement the court’s protection.
The Justice Department filed a brief late Thursday saying the man doesn’t deserve such extraordinary relief since two federal courts completely blocked the ban this week, Trump is trying to protect the country from terrorists and the ban includes waiver provisions.
Conley has set a hearing for Tuesday.”

The Turkish leader has unleashed scathing rhetoric toward European nations — especially the Netherlands — after Turkish ministers were prevented from carrying out campaign meetings there.
On Friday, Erdogan told Turks in Europe: “Go live in better neighborhoods. Drive the best cars. Live in the best houses. Make not three, but five children. Because you are the future of Europe. That will be the best response to the injustices against you.””

Are the Hard Leftists Aligned with Radical Islamists?
by Najat AlSaied
March 17, 2017 at 5:00 am
https://www.gatestoneinstitute.org/10065/leftists-islamists-aligned
Since the presidential campaign began, and then right up until the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) on February 24, 2017, President Donald Trump has kept saying the same thing: that the United States is at war with radical Islam, mainly represented by the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS). Yet, the leftist media and other American liberals insist on portraying his position as a fight against Islam and Muslims. In fact, most moderate Muslims are not offended by the phrase “radical Islam,” because they are very distressed by the fact that their religion has been commandeered by the radicals and transformed from a religion of peace into a more radical version. Unfortunately, instead of the leftists giving a voice to and supporting these moderate Muslims, a kind of leftist-Islamist alliance has emerged.
Abdel Rahman al-Rashed, a Saudi columnist for pan-Arab newspaper Al Sharq al Awsat, said in 2004:
This statement from a well-known columnist and a former General Manager of the Al Arabiya news channel demonstrates how moderate Muslims are critical of their own culture and how they are saddened by how their religion has been hijacked by radicals. However, these appeals fall on deaf ears with leftists; they call moderate Muslims passive, which instead supports and furthers the radical Islamists’ cause.
In 2009, while millions of Iranians were in the streets opposing a radical, theocratic regime as part of their Green Revolution, then U.S. President Barack Obama ignored this historic moment and continued reaching out to Iran’s rulers, who are designated by the U.S. government as sponsors of terrorism. His appeasing attitude was a clear sign that the US was so eager to reach a nuclear deal by befriending the Iranian regime, that it was willing to tolerate the mullahs’ brutal repression and its hegemonic policies across the region.

BEITBART – VIDEO: Police Scrambled to Bradford as Quran in Skip Sparks Hysteria and Violent Threats
Police were scrambled to an area of Bradford Thursday night after an angry mob of local Muslims gathered because copies of Quran had been found in a skip.
A local bookshop, specialising in the “distribution of Islamic goods”, was closing down and had been clearing the last of its stock.
Videos of Islamic texts being disposed of spread rapidly online and further footage of angry crowds outside the store on Thursday evening have been viewed by tens of thousands of people.
The former owners of The Book Centre told The Telegraph & Argus that a “group of individuals” arrived at the store and began “harassing and bullying” the shop’s 80-year-old former owner, who was “not responsible for the filling of the skip”.
Local resident Adil Shaan, who forwarded photographs to the local press, said it was a “shameful act”. “The public went through the skip and took out any religious material,” he added.
“They’re both motherf*ckers haramis. The person who sold [the shop] and the person who bought it, they well and truly know what they have done is wrong kanjars need their heads kicking in,” wrote Sarfraz Aslam on Facebook.
“Lost for words! Boycott the shameful store!” added Nazia Hussain. “May Allah punish them severely…” said Amina Bibi.
Shahid Janjua, a local Muslim journalist, claimed it was a “deliberate attempt to unrest [the] Muslim community” on Twitter.

The property’s new owners – who are also Muslim – had given just a few weeks for the shop to be vacated, and third party workmen had been called in to clear the stock.
A spokesman for The Book Centre said: “While the Book Centre site is being cleared, no Islamic material of any sort was purposefully disposed of. A small workforce was instructed to clear two storerooms from which some material made its way into the skip.
“This is wrong, unacceptable and a genuine mistake. The skip will be looked at as a matter of urgency and any materials removed.”
The spokesman was insistent that people “not associated with the Book Centre” had been responsible for removing Qurans. “What has happened here is a case of genuine human error, we are really disappointed,” they said.
A spokesman for Baker Reign Solicitors, which represents the new owners, said: “The board of directors of our client are very conscious that the Holy Quran needs to be treated with the utmost respect particularly as they are practicing Muslims.
“Our client, therefore condemns the treatment and mishandling of the Holy Quran in such an obscene manner.”

Turkish daily depicts Merkel as ‘Frau Hitler’ on front page
Ankara (AFP) – A Turkish pro-government newspaper on Friday depicted Chancellor Angela Merkel on its front page in Nazi uniform with a Hitler-style moustache, labelling the German leader “She Hitler” amid a bitter war of words between Ankara and Berlin.
Right-wing tabloid-style daily Gunes (“Sun”) printed the picture along with the words in German: “#Frau Hitler” and called her an “ugly aunt”.
The mocked-up image took up most of the front page of the daily, with a Nazi swastika on Merkel’s “uniform” and another swastika next to her head while she is shown holding a gun.
Turkey and Europe are locked in a bitter spat after Germany and the Netherlands blocked Turkish ministers from holding rallies to campaign for a ‘yes’ vote in next month’s referendum on expanding President Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s powers.
Erdogan has repeatedly accused Germany and the Netherlands of acting like “Nazis”, and claimed Merkel is “supporting terrorists”.
His behaviour has prompted an angry reaction from Europe, with Merkel and French President Francois Hollande lashing the comments as “unacceptable” on Thursday.
The front page also accused Merkel of trying to be the leader of fascists, creating anti-Turkish enmity using Austria, the Netherlands and Belgium in “Germany’s backyard”.
“Germany, which has open arms for terrorist organisations… is trying to instigate the whole of Europe against Turkey,” the daily said.
German deputy government spokesman Georg Streiter refused to be drawn into the controversy, only saying: “We are not taking part in a game of provocation.”
The front page was published two days after German mass circulation daily Bild lashed out at Erdogan, accusing him of “endangering Europe’s stability through his lust for power”.
“Bild tells the truth to Erdogan’s face — you are not a democrat! You are hurting your country!” the German daily had said.
Bild’s front page hugely upset Ankara and the foreign ministry issued a statement describing the article as “mind-boggling” and part of a mindset “hinging on hatred”.
The media outlets that publish such articles are “are doomed to take their places in the trash of history,” the foreign ministry said.

Erdogan: European Headscarf Ban ‘Started a Clash Between the Cross and the Crescent’
In addition to his customary invective against European governments for refusing to allow his ministers to rally Turkish expatriates behind him, President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said on Thursday that the EU’s new ban on headscarves in the workplace would launch “a struggle between the cross and the crescent.”
“Where is the liberty of religion? They have commenced a struggle between the cross and crescent. There is no other explanation than this. I am saying this clearly: Europe is heading toward the days just before World War II,” said Erdogan, as rendered by Hurriyet Daily News.

Pakistan asks Facebook to help fight blasphemy (BBC, Mar 17, 2017)
http://www.bbc.com/news/world-asia-39300270
“Pakistan says it has asked Facebook to help investigate “blasphemous content” posted on the social network by Pakistanis.
Facebook has agreed to send a team to Pakistan to address reservations about content on the social media site, according to the interior ministry.
Blasphemy is a highly sensitive and incendiary issue in Pakistan.
Critics say blasphemy laws, which allow the death penalty in some cases, are often misused to oppress minorities.
Earlier this week Pakistani Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif voiced his support for a wide-ranging crackdown on blasphemous content on social media.
In a statement on his party’s official Twitter account, he described blasphemy as an “unpardonable offence”.
‘Should share information’
Then on Thursday, Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar reasserted Pakistan’s determination to tackle the issue, saying he would take “any steps necessary” to make sure Pakistan’s message got across.
He said he had asked officials to liaise with the FBI in the US and with social media platforms on a daily basis.
“Facebook and other service providers should share all information about the people behind this blasphemous content with us,” he is quoted as saying by the Dawn newspaper.
There has been little official description of what blasphemous content has been found online so far, but in the past blasphemy accusations have ranged from depictions of the Prophet Muhammad to critiques and inappropriate references to the Koran.
But some critics say that this latest move is simply a way of cracking down on dissent.
Analysis – Tahir Imran, BBC Urdu social media editor
In Pakistan there is a growing popular resentment to this so-called “blasphemous content” on social media, especially on Facebook.
People are often openly accused of “committing blasphemy on social media”. One top security agency has openly urged the masses to report anyone who is involved in posting such material online.
Digital rights groups have expressed “serious reservations” and have called such steps “playing with the lives of innocent people”.
They have also criticised Facebook “for colluding with authorities and censoring content infringing freedom of expression”.
In a statement quoted by the AP news agency, Facebook said it viewed government requests with care keeping in mind “the goal of protecting the privacy and rights of our users.
“We disclose information about accounts solely in accordance with our terms of service and applicable law. A Mutual Legal Assistance Treaty or other formal request may be required for international requests, and we include these in our Government Requests Report.”
But Facebook has not yet made any public comment about a delegation being sent to Pakistan.
Pakistan has often blocked access to pornographic sites and sites with anti-Islamic content and in 2010 a Pakistani court blocked Facebook over caricatures of the Prophet Muhammad.”
Photos “document brutal Turkish takeover of Kurdish village” (france24, Mar 16, 2017)
http://observers.france24.com/en/20170316-photos-document-brutal-turkish-army-takeover-kurdish-village
“A small Kurdish village in southeastern Turkey was occupied by the Turkish army for 19 days, ending on March 2. In the days since, shocking photos have been circulating on social media showing the brutality that occurred. The photos show destroyed homes and walls pockmarked by bullets, as well as the carcasses of animals that starved to death while their owners were on lockdown. Further images show people who appear to have been tortured.
From February 11 to March 2, people living in the village of Koruköy (called Xerabê Bava in Kurdish) claim they were forbidden from leaving their homes by the Turkish army. Among the allegations that have emerged include: soldiers arresting village residents, including the 71-year-old village chief, and the bulldozing of several homes. Being unable to care for their animals, the villagers lost much of their livestock, which starved to death.
The local Kurdish press published numerous accounts of locals who said soldiers had assassinated several residents and tortured others…”

“A French anti-drugs policeman was sentenced to 10 years in prison on Friday for stealing nearly 50 kilogrammes (110 pounds) of cocaine from a safe in the headquarters of the Paris force.
The presiding judge in handing down the maximum sentence to Jonathan Guyot, a 36-year-old officer in the drugs squad, said he had been proved guilty “beyond a shadow of a doubt.”
Security guards testified to seeing Guyot entering Paris police headquarters, known as 36 quai des Orfevres, late at night in July 2014 when the drugs worth around €2 million ($2.12 million) went missing.
He was seen leaving carrying two bags and was detained by police around a week later with 24,000 euros in cash and the code for a safe saved in his mobile phone, prosecutors said…”
Free speech permits ‘insults’ about Turkish president, says Switzerland (thelocal, Mar 17, 2017)
https://www.thelocal.ch/20170317/free-speech-justifies-insults-about-turkish-president-says-switzerland
“The Swiss justice office has refused four requests by Turkey for judicial cooperation over comments posted on social media platforms about President Recep Tayyip Erdogan that he deemed offensive.
Writing in January, the Tages Anzeiger said Turkey had lodged half a dozen requests for legal aid, demanding that Switzerland pursue critics who had ‘insulted’ Erdogan.
On Thursday a spokesman from the Swiss justice office, Folco Galli, told broadcaster SRF that four requests lodged by Turkey in mid January had been rejected, citing free speech.
Switzerland would only be obliged to cooperate if the act concerned was considered a crime in both Turkey and Switzerland, he said.
Speaking to the SRF Galli said: “If similar criticisms had been expressed in Switzerland against a federal councillor in the course of a political debate, they would of course have been tolerated as an expression of free speech.”…”
Morocco Arrests 15 ISIS Linked Suspects (moroccoworldnews, Mar 17, 2017)
https://www.moroccoworldnews.com/2017/03/211374/morocco-arrests-15-isis-linked-suspects/
“The Central Bureau for Judiciary Investigations (BCIJ), has arrested 15 people under suspicion of having links to ISIS.
“The fifteen taken into custody were found to be operating in the cities of Casablanca, Fez, Nador, Tétouan, Essaouira, Fqih Bensaleh, Tangier, Marrakesh, Oujda and Agadir,” the Interior Ministry said. The arrests took place on Wednesday and Thursday.
In a statement released by the ministry, it was revealed that a preliminary investigation showed the accused were involved in large-scale incitement campaigns, threatening to execute terrorist operations in Morocco.
The operations, involving murder and destruction were to have been carried out by groups linked to the so-called ISIS cells in Syria and Iraq, said the statement.
According to the probe, some of the individuals apprehended were trained in bomb making. They were also found to be purchasing the raw materials needed to manufacture explosives to execute terrorist operations against some sensitive sites, including entertainment and public facilities in several Moroccan cities.
The statement added that one of the suspects conducted surveillance and targeted location operations in Casablanca with the aim of making a video claiming responsibility for an ISIS terrorist operation.
The probe also uncovered evidence that some of those arrested had attempted to procure guns to assassinate public and military figures.
The accused will face justice once the investigation is completed, under the supervision of the public prosecutor.”

UK pulls ads from Youtube citing failures in policing content (gulfnews, Mar 17, 2017)
http://gulfnews.com/news/europe/uk/uk-pulls-ads-from-youtube-citing-failures-in-policing-content-1.1995755
“The UK government and the Guardian newspaper stepped up pressure on YouTube to police content that appears on its platform, pulling ads from the video site because they appeared beside clips they view as inappropriate.
Ads appeared “next to extremist and hate filled videos,” prompting Guardian News & Media to stop all advertising through YouTube parent Google, the British publisher said in an emailed statement Friday. The UK government said it suspended advertising on YouTube until the site can ensure they’re not placed next to content it doesn’t approve of.
“Google is responsible for ensuring the high standards applied to government advertising are adhered to and that adverts do not appear alongside inappropriate content,” the government said in an emailed statement. “We have placed a temporary restriction on our YouTube advertising pending reassurances from Google that government messages can be delivered in a safe and appropriate way.”
The boycott signals a growing backlash against so-called programmatic trading, which automates the buying and selling of advertising online, and social media providers that are seen to not be doing enough to tackle hate disseminated on their platforms. Britain’s government said it summoned Google for discussions to explain how it can guarantee the state’s demands are met.
Google said it has strict guidelines defining where ads should appear and that “in the vast majority of cases” the policies work as intended. “We accept that we don’t always get it right, and that sometimes, ads appear where they should not. We’re committed to doing better, and will make changes to our policies and brand controls for advertisers,” the company said in an emailed statement.
Ads by the government and the newspaper featured alongside content from the likes of white nationalist David Duke and pastor Steven Anderson, who praised the killing of 49 people in a gay nightclub, the Times of London reported Friday.
The Guardian said it would be withdrawing its advertising until Google could provide guarantees that the ad misplacement wouldn’t happen in future.
“It is completely unacceptable that Google allows advertising for brands like the Guardian to appear next to extremist and hate-filled videos,” Guardian News & Media said.”

Two missiles were fired at the mosque located inside the military camp of Kofal in the west of Marib after a rocket was fired, the officials said.
Most of Marib is under the control of President Abd Rabbo Mansour Hadi. Iran-allied Al Houthis are battling his internationally-recognised government.”
Iran challenges need to ship out excess material under nuclear deal (reuters, Mar 17, 2017)
http://www.reuters.com/article/us-iran-nuclear-idUSKBN16O2RL
“Iran has challenged the need for it to ship sensitive material abroad if its stock exceeds a limit set by its nuclear deal with major powers.
The challenge raises the prospect of a confrontation with the new U.S. administration of President Donald Trump because diplomats say Iran is only months away from reaching that cap.
The 2015 deal restricts Iran’s atomic activities in exchange for the lifting of sanctions against Tehran. One restriction is on its stock of heavy water, a moderator used in a type of reactor that can produce plutonium, like an unfinished one at Arak that had its core removed under the accord.
Iran has already exceeded the 130-tonne limit on its heavy water stock twice. The latest standoff with Washington over the issue was only defused in December when Iran shipped the excess amount to Oman, where the heavy water is being stored until a buyer can be found.
In a letter to the U.N. nuclear watchdog circulated to member states on Thursday and posted on the agency’s website, however, Iran argued that the deal does not require it to ship excess heavy water out of the country…”
