On the day of President-elect Donald Trump’s inauguration protesters are planning an anti-capitalist march, road blockades and disruptions to inauguration balls. The protests will likely include property destruction, a source with intimate knowledge of the protest plans told The Daily Caller Friday.
The blockades are not limited to roads but will also be at every security checkpoint, the source said. The source added that the protesters blockading each checkpoint will represent a different liberal cause such as climate change or money in politics.
A group called #DisruptJ20 is the most active in the planned protests for the inauguration.
Organizers for #DisruptJ20 are planning to kick off the inauguration protests on Jan. 18 with a gay dance party outside of Vice President-elect Mike Pence’s Chevy Chase, MD home.

And sure enough, each of those trendy patterns shows up in the backstory of Fusion GPS, the intelligence “research” company founded by former Wall Street Journal reporter Glenn Simpson, which was identified late last week as the source of the highly dubious dossier on Donald Trump.
Briefly, regarding the Trump dossier: Fusion GPS was reportedly hired in September 2015, by an unnamed Republican (whether donor or candidate remains undisclosed), to investigate Trump’s potential ties to organized crime. Sometime between that date and June 2016, the former British intelligence man, Christopher Steele, entered the picture, working for Fusion GPS to pursue a Russian-connections angle. After the RNC nominated Trump in July, Republican support to the dossier effort stopped, but the Democrats stepped in and took over shepherding it along.

As we count down to the inauguration of President-Elect Donald Trump on 20 January, it’s important to keep something in focus. That something is the exceptional importance of what Trump’s unorthodox candidacy and persona are freeing America from, with each day that he stands firm against the onslaught mounted against him, and cannot be taken down.
Many Americans who prefer a Republican in the White House, and are glad that Hillary Clinton won’t be taking office, would never have made Trump their top choice. Many of those people are certain Trump is going to disappoint his supporters on various policy issues as time goes by. Many of them are just disgusted by Trump’s comparatively aggressive, confrontational demeanor with his critics – tame, to be sure, by pro wrestling standards, but really out there, as presidential deportment goes.
The folks I’ve just described are typical old-consensus conservatives. And I want them to know: I feel you. I really do: I don’t just understand where you’re coming from; I can inhabit it, with visceral resonance. Trump does a lot of things in a way I wouldn’t do them. And I fully expect Trump to disappoint me on some policy issues – although I also think he will do things I agree with.

One of the first “statements” Barack Obama made as president in 2009 was to quietly send a bust of Winston Churchill that graced the Oval Office back to the British — and then (shades of eight years of deception to come) lie about having done so. (Later, the administration was forced to admit the story was true.) In any case, the banishment of the sculpture, which had initially been presented to President George W. Bush in 2001, was seen as a slap in the face to one America’s great allies.
Now, topping President-elect Donald Trump’s to-do list once elected is to undo that slight. Trump has already taken steps to mend fences symbolically by restoring the Churchill bust to its place of honor in the White House.

The Middle East is a more dangerous place after eight years of the Obama presidency than it was before. The eight disastrous Obama years follow eight disastrous George W. Bush years, during which that part of the world became more dangerous as well. So have many other international hot spots.
In sum, the past 16 years have seen major foreign policy blunders all over the world, and most especially in the area between Libya and Iran — that includes Israel, Egypt, Syria, Iraq, Lebanon, Turkey and the Gulf.
With regard to the conflict between Israel and the Palestinians, the Obama policies have made the prospects for a compromise peace more difficult to achieve. When Israel felt that America had its back — under both Presidents Clinton and George W. Bush — they offered generous proposals to end settlements and occupation in nearly all of the West Bank.
Tragically the Palestinian leadership — first under Yasser Arafat and then under Mahmoud Abbas — did not accept either offers from Israel Prime Minister Ehud Barak and Clinton in 2000-2001, nor Prime Minister Ehud Olmert’s offer in 2008. Now they are ignoring current Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s open offer to negotiate with no preconditions
Obama has had three failures in the MIddle East, 1) He hasn’t succeeded in destroying ISrael, 2) He hasn’t succeeded in putting a Sharia based government in Egypt, 3) He hasn’t succeeded in creating Shiite and Sunni Caliphates in the Middle East, meaning there are still secular governments in several of the Middle Eastern Islamic nations. Other then that he has succeeded beautifully, he has created chaos, terror and war which he seems to want.

He said spontaneity was not in the interests of national security.

Mr Brennan also said that Mr Trump did not fully appreciate Russia’s capabilities or intentions.
“I think Mr Trump has to understand that absolving Russia of various actions that it’s taken in the past number of years is a road that he, I think, needs to be very, very careful about moving down,” he said.
Mr Brennan’s remarks, in an interview for Fox News Sunday, come a week after the release of a US intelligence report which said Russian President Vladimir Putin had likely attempted to influence the election.
Mr Trump is considered to have underplayed for months the conclusions of the intelligence community that Moscow hacked Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton’s campaign. He only accepted them at a news conference on Wednesday.
Meanwhile both the Kremlin and Mr Trump’s team have denied reports in the Sunday Times newspaper that the two sides were planning a summit between Mr Trump and Mr Putin in the Icelandic capital Reykjavik.
Reykjavik was the venue for a summit in 1986 – near the end of the Cold War – between Ronald Reagan and Mikhail Gorbachev, the then US and Soviet leaders.
Mr Brennan said “talking and tweeting” was not an option for Mr Trump, who takes office next Friday.
“Spontaneity is not something that protects national security interests and so therefore when he speaks or when he reacts, just make sure he understands that the implications and impact on the United States could be profound,” he said.
“It’s more than just about Mr Trump. It’s about the United States of America.”
The CIA director also took Mr Trump to task for accusing the intelligence services of leaking an unverified dossier which suggests Russian security officials have compromising material on him, which could make him vulnerable to blackmail.
“What I do find outrageous is equating the intelligence community with Nazi Germany,” he said, referring to a tweet by Mr Trump last Wednesday.
“There is no basis for Mr Trump to point fingers at the intelligence community for leaking information that was already available publicly.”
The president-elect said the claims were “fake news” and “phoney stuff”.
Russia also denies the existence of the dossier and says allegations that it ran a hacking campaign to influence the elections are “reminiscent of a witch-hunt”.”

“Russia has proof that some states and influential foreign companies “cooperate with terrorists,” Russian Security Council’s Head Nikolai Patrushev said.
“We continue obtaining new proof of several states’ and influential foreign and even transnational companies’ cooperation with terrorists. We are talking about purchases of oil and other raw material from terrorists, as well as about paying them for obtaining permits for production and transportation of goods in territories under their control,” Patrushev said in an interview with Rossiyskaya Gazeta newspaper.
He also said that “putting an end to this practice should be the goal of all countries which combat terrorism without an exception.”
Patrushev also commented on Russia’s cooperation with other countries in the fight against terrorism. “First of all we managed to intensify the work in the framework of the United Nations Security Council. Russia contributed to the adoption of resolutions aimed at fighting against Daesh and other terrorist organizations, as well as against financing terrorism,” he said. Russia is going to continue work on eliminating the terrorist threat coming from the territory of Iraq and Syria, Patrushev said. “We will strive for continuation of joint work aimed at elimination of the terrorist threat coming from the Syrian and Iraqi territory, and ensuring close coordination of efforts between the states interested in stabilization of the situation in the Middle East.””

In this heated mood, three so-called “Palestinians” were also encouraged to set fire to the Wuppertal Synagogue in the night of July 29, 2014, and threw several Molotov cocktails into the entrance of the building. The trial against the Jews had now reached a terrifying end before the Oberlandesgericht Düsseldorf.
The perpetrators presented their clearly anti-Semitic act as a legitimate demonstration in the first trial before the Wuppertal district court, in order to draw attention to the war against Israel, affectionately called “Gaza conflict”. The court saw this and, at the same time, did not have any anti-Semitic motives in its verdict and left the assassins with one-year, three months and 200 hours of non-profit-making work again on the Jewish population of Germany hated by them. The district court Wuppertal later increased this sentence to a probation period of 23 months, or two years.
The prosecutor’s office, on the other hand, filed a revision and demanded imprisonment. Now the decision fell, with the Oberlandesgericht Düsseldorf rejecting the request for revision, and thus consented fully to the verdict.
With this decision the German judiciary not only explains the prolonged arm of terror against Israel and the Jews, but also that the lighting of Jewish faith sites is not a serious threat but can be seen as a kind of harsh criticism.
Not to think about what a “German Nazi”, who throws brands against an Islamic hate preaching (politcorrect: mosque), would flourish by the same justice. Especially if someone loses on the walkway in front of a mosque a bacon strip, the state protection is immediately switched on.
Who, in addition to the Jews in the country, protects Germany from the damage inflicted on such credentials and reputation in the world and especially in Israel? And who is the people in whose name such judgments are made?

“Serbia has warned it will defend “every inch” of what it claims as its territory in neighbouring Kosovo.
President Tomislav Nikolic accused Kosovo of seeking a war, after a train painted in Serbian colours and the words “Kosovo is Serbia” was prevented from crossing the Kosovan border.
Kosovo saw the train as a deliberate provocation.
As tensions grew, Mr Nikolic said that he would be willing to send the army to defend Serbs in Kosovo, if necessary.
Kosovo, historically a province of Serbia, declared independence in 2008. It is recognised by the US and most EU countries but not by Serbia or its ally Russia.
The train – heralded as an important transport link by Serbia – was the first direct link between the Serbian capital, Belgrade, and Mitrovica, in northern Kosovo, since 2008.
Many of the remaining Serbs in Kosovo live around Mitrovica.
Serbia said the slogan “Kosovo is Serbian” in many languages was a celebration of its cultural heritage, as were the Serbian Orthodox religious symbols adorning the inside, and the liberal use of the Serbian national colours.
But Kosovo’s Prime Minister Isa Mustafa told reporters that the train had been stopped “to protect the country’s sovereignty” and that Kosovo would not allow “machines that will provoke with a message of occupation.”
Kosovo had deployed police forces along the border to prevent the train crossing over – which forced President Nikolic to order a halt to the service.
Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic alleged that Kosovan forces were planning to blow up the tracks, and accused them of playing “war games”.
The incident has heightened tensions, causing protests by ethnic Serbs in Kosovo, and prompting Mr Nikolic to comment that the two nations had briefly been “on the brink of conflict”….”

U.S. President-elect Donald Trump said in a newspaper interview published on Sunday that German Chancellor Angela Merkel had made a “catastrophic mistake” with a policy that let a wave of more than one million migrants into her country.
In a joint interview with the Times of London and the German newspaper Bild, Trump also said the European Union had become “a vehicle for Germany” and predicted that more EU member states would vote to leave the bloc as Britain did last June.
“I think she made one very catastrophic mistake, and that was taking all of these illegals,” Trump said of Merkel, who in August 2015 decided to keep Germany’s borders open for refugees, mostly Muslims, fleeing war zones in the Middle East.
“And nobody even knows where they come from. So I think she made a catastrophic mistake, very bad mistake,” Trump said, adding that he always had “great respect” for Merkel and that he still viewed her as one of the most important world leaders.
Merkel faces a tough re-election battle in September.
Trump, who takes office on Friday, campaigned for president on promises of banning Muslims from entering the United States or imposing more severe restrictions on migrants from countries or regions with high levels of militant Islamist activity.
Trump said Germany had only recently gotten a clear impression of the consequences of Merkel’s migration policy, without elaborating.
Last month, a 24-year-old Tunisian failed asylum-seeker drove a truck into a Berlin Christmas market, killing 12 people, before fleeing to Italy, where he was shot dead by police.
The attacker, Anis Amri, came to Germany in July 2015 after having spent four years in jail in Italy. That means he entered Europe before Merkel’s August 2015 border decision.
In the interview, Trump said British voters would not have approved leaving the European Union had Europe not been engulfed in a migrant crisis.
“I do believe this, if they (the EU countries) hadn’t been forced to take in all of the refugees, so many … I think that you wouldn’t have a Brexit,” Trump said.
“It probably could have worked out but this was the final straw, this was the final straw that broke the camel’s back.”
Turning to his family’s German roots, Trump said he was proud to have had ancestors from Germany and that he loved Germany. Asked about character traits he would link to his German roots, Trump said he liked order and strength.
The United States is Germany’s most important trading partner, and Trump’s protectionist talk has unnerved business leaders and exporters in Europe’s biggest economy.
In the interview, Trump said the United States will impose a border tax of 35 percent on cars that German carmaker BMW plans to build at a new plant in Mexico and export to the U.S. market.

‘Distress’ But No Apology For Epiphany Service Quran Reading Denying Divinity of Christ
The head of the Scottish Episcopal Church has said he is “deeply distressed at the widespread offence” caused by the reading of a passage from the Quran denying the divinity of Christ during an Epiphany service, but no apology has been issued.
In a statement posted to his blog site, David Chillingworth, the Primus of the Church appeared to strongly rebuke Kelvin Holdsworth, the Provost of St Mary’s Episcopal Cathedral, Glasgow, where the reading took place, arguing that interfaith work, “like all works of reconciliation, must be founded on truth.” He continued: “We approach others with open hearts but we stand in the truth of the gospel of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.”
However, no apology for the reading has been forthcoming; Chillingworth reasoning that the “The decisions which have led to the situation in St Mary’s Cathedral are a matter for the Provost and the Cathedral community.”
He added that the church will “bring together all those who are involved in the development of interfaith relations” to explore how the work can be carried out “in ways which will command respect.”
Holdsworth himself is unrepentent, writing in a blog post that “local Muslim friends” were invited “as we were reflecting on the arrival of the mysterious Magi at Bethlehem”. The significance is unclear, as the Magi, predating Islam by some six centuries, were Zoroastrian.
He continued: “Having a recitation from the Qur’an in a Christian cathedral in worship is not a new thing.
“So it has indeed come as something of a surprise to find accounts of last week’s service appearing online and stirring up the most most incredible pot of hatred I’ve ever encountered.
“This same Qur’anic reading has been given before in services and no outcry has happened. Is it because this is in a cathedral run by a gay man? Is it because the recitation was given by a young woman?
“Clearly those things are factors as they feature in some of the abuse.”
Confirming that some of the messages received by the church had been reported to Police Scotland, Holdsworth added: “They assure me that intolerance and prejudice will not be tolerated in Scotland. To put it simply, I thank God for them and their work.”
The matter came to light after St Mary’s posted a video of verses of the Quran being sung in Arabic during a service to Facebook, along with a message calling it a “wonderful event.” Both the Facebook post and a YouTube version of the reading have since been removed by the Cathedral, after it provoked widespread anger and criticism from Christians, who pointed out that the verses chosen denied the divinity of Jesus Christ as the Son of God.
The reading can still be viewed elsewhere on Facebook via Madinah Javed, who sang the passages during the service.
There was further anger as it emerged that a translation of the verses printed in the Order of Service and handed out to congregants omitted the last two, in which the denial came, leading to confusion.
Commenting on matter on the Archbishop Cranmer blogsite, the Rev’d Dr Gavin Ashenden, Chaplain to the Queen, said: “It’s hard to know what was in the mind of the Provost of Glasgow Cathedral when he arranged for this assault on Jesus and the apostles.
“The accusation of lying or deception [contained within the verses] was not just directed towards Jesus and the Apostles; but is also […] to those, too, who have been martyred at the hands of Islam, because they refused to renounce this deception when confronted with it.”
Refuting Holdworth’s claims that the reading was part of an interfaith dialogue between Islam and Christianity, Ashenden continued:
“There was no dialogue in the Epiphany Eucharist; only a refutation of what Christians hold most dear and upon which salvation depends.
“In over 30 years of interfaith conversations, I have never yet come across a Muslim community which allowed those passages in the Gospels acclaiming the divinity of Christ to be read in Friday prayers.”

“A mosque located on the outskirts of Seattle was badly burned Saturday and a 37-yea-old man has been arrested. Members of the Islamic Centre of Eastside, otherwise known at the Bellevue Majid, are shocked and heartbroken over the burning of their mosque in the community of Bellevue, in the state of Washington.
While 50 percent of the building has been destroyed, authorities and mosque officials are grateful to report that no-one was injured n the fire. Fire crews were able to send half of the building after fighting flames which, at times, reached 40 feet in height.
Police have arrested 37-year-old Isaac Wayne Wilson on a charge of felony malicious mischief after finding him laying on the ground behind the mosque, where most of the fire damage occurred.
While being detained, Wilson is being denied bail. While the incident is not currently being investigated as a hate crime, police are searching for a motive. Officials from the FBI, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives have joined the investigation.
Deputy prosecutor, Mike Hogan, has been quoted saying “the suspect had prior contacts with the mosque” and that Wilson had previously been arrested for causing a disturbance at the mosque, though he did not elaborate on the nature of that incident.
The Council on American-Islamic Relations in Washington has issued a post on Facebook urging people not to jump to conclusions as to the suspect’s motive in this crime. “Please give authorities time to investigate.”…”

“Egypt’s interior ministry said it has killed a leading figure in the terrorist group Ansar Beit Al-Maqdis in a raid on a house in North Sinai, in a statement on the ministry’s Facebook page on Sunday.
The ministry said police received information on the location of Hamdan Hussein, born in 1978 in North Sinai, who resided in Al-Arish City.
The tip, according to the ministry, revealed that Hussein was responsible for planting a number of roadside bombs that targeted security vehicles and leading an attack last week on a security checkpoint in front of Al-Arish’s general hospital that killed a policeman.
Once police received permission from the state security prosecutor to raid Hussein’s house, they attempted to arrest him at his home.
According to the ministry’s statement, Hussein opened fire on police, prompting them to shoot and kill him.

“Social media giant Facebook announced on Sunday that it would introduce new measures to combat fake news in Germany, as Europe’s largest economy and most populous nation enters an election year.
“It’s important to us that the reports and news posted on Facebook are reliable,” a blog post on the Silicon Valley firm’s German website read.
German politicians have warned that populist parties and foreign nations could use fake news to try and influence parliamentary elections slated for September or October.
Facebook’s new German initiative targets “unambiguously wrong reports” being shared on the social media platform.
The firm said it would offer a simpler reporting process for users to flag suspected fake news, display warnings next to statements identified as false by independent fact-checking organisations, and cut off advertising revenue to fake news sites presenting themselves as real news organisations.
Stories flagged with a fake news warning will not be eligible to be converted into an ad seen by other users or “promoted” into other users’ feeds for a fee.
“We think that independent and transparent fact-checking can be a powerful instrument for journalism,” Facebook said.
Nonprofit investigative journalism organisation Correctiv will be the first fact-checking partner in Germany, the firm added, saying that they are “confident” of adding other news organisations in future.
Facebook’s latest measures come just days after it announced the creation of a “Journalism Project” aimed at boosting the credibility of the information it circulates.”

Piers Akerman: Unholy matrimony and the Islamic culture’s hidden stain

AS much as it may discomfort the multi-culti crowd, Australia must realise that there are some appalling aspects of Islamic culture that can never be embraced here.
In the 2015-16 financial year alone, the Australian Federal Police investigated 69 incidents of forced marriage, more than double that investigated the previous year.
Just last week, an imam, a Muslim religious leader, faced a Melbourne court after allegedly forcing a child into marriage, while the 34-year-old “husband” of the minor appeared via videolink charged with sexually penetrating a child under the age of 16.
Ibrahim Omerdic, 61, appeared before the Melbourne Magistrates Court on Friday over an alleged forced marriage at Noble Park, in Melbourne’s southeast, along with the husband, who cannot be identified. The latter is also charged with being a party to a forced marriage.
The court heard that a DVD of the ceremony being conducted at a mosque last year may form part of the evidence. According to The Weekend Australian no person has been convicted of arranging or being involved in a forced marriage in Australia despite the number of referrals of possible offences soaring since 2013, when the act was criminalised, according to data from the Attorney-General’s Department.
In 2013-14, the Australian Federal Police received 11 referrals of allegations of forced marriage. The AFP received 33 in 2014-15 and 69 in 2015-16.
Mr Omerdic is the imam of the Bosnia-Herzegovina Islamic Centre and Mosque at Noble Park and reportedly said in 2005 that there was no “clear proof” Osama bin Laden was behind the 9/11 terror attacks.
The Victorian Board of Imams released a statement earlier this week condemning marriages that are illegal in Australia.
“Imams are advised to meet both the bride and groom in person prior to the nikah (Islamic marriage) ceremony to ensure they are of marriageable age and both are consenting to the marriage,” the statement said.
“As Australian Muslims, we are required to observe and respect the laws of Australia.”
The average reader might well assume that the Victorian Board of Imams aren’t unhappy with forced child marriages in other countries.
