  1. As a Canadian who is not drunk on commie koolaid, this pissed me off! Arguably the best song Leonard Cohen ever wrote, used for pushing the agenda of the ridiculous. Ugh! (insert eye-roll and flip-of-the-bird here)

  2. Prepare yourselves for a disturbing degree of reasonableness. Please know that any proper objections are entirely welcome. Although I am not a whole-hearted supporter of the following, nonetheless, this seems to be a good starting point.

Lessons from 2016 part 1: An open letter to Donald Trump

    Dear Donald Trump,

Political urban legend tells of a phone call then-President George H.W. Bush is said to have received on the eve of the first Iraq War.

Legend has it that after months of build up, Bush was suddenly having second thoughts about unleashing Hell upon Saddam Hussein at the last minute. Until he picked up the phone and heard the familiar, penetrating voice of Margaret Thatcher on the other end.

“This is no time to get wobbly, George,” Thatcher supposedly told him.

Indeed, President Trump, I believe the Iron Lady would say the same to you now if she hadn’t passed on to glory.

For whatever reason, we as men have this tendency to be tempted to lose confidence in or water down what made us successful once we arrive at success. We think we have to become more like the people we had to beat to get there, forgetting that if the people who put us there wanted what everybody else was doing they wouldn’t have put us where we are in the first place. I pray you don’t succumb to that false choice.

Now, it may seem counterintuitive to have to say such a thing to someone of your bombastic personality, but you have never been this way before. Being the president of these United States isn’t like being the CEO of the company which bears your name. Neither is being a celebrity, even one as well known as you are, like being the most visible man in the world.

I’m sure already you’ve been told you have to be more “presidential,” and that is true. But that term doesn’t always mean what we think it means. To people outside the beltway, presidential means a dignified but commanding presence. However, to the people where you will now reside, it means something else entirely.

To them it means becoming one with the machine. Ingratiating yourself in their sub-culture to be welcomed in Washington’s high society. It means maintaining the corrupt status quo, and anything contrary to it is considered “extreme.” It means allowing the media and your political opponents to set the agenda, while Republicans are content with table scraps should they “evolve.” See that as becoming progressive-lite.

Yes, you’re going to enter the White House having not won the popular vote and with record-high unfavorables for a new president. So without question the way you communicate, carry yourself, and relate to others will require much more of the smooth and savvy Donald Trump I used to interview on the radio, and much less of the shtick seen too often at your massive rallies. Oh, and forget you have a Twitter account, too, while you’re at it.

“The people elected you, not progressive-lite.”

That being said, when it comes to doing the actual job here’s the best advice I can give you — be Donald freaking Trump. Be like Denzel at the end of Training Day: “King Kong ain’t got nothin on me.”

Yes, listen to your advisers. And please surround yourself with good ones and not just ones you see as loyal because they say nice things about you or shill. But put some contrarian voices in there as well, who aren’t intimidated by you and can remind you that you have to do number two just like the rest of us.

“Nevertheless, don’t forget that with great power comes great responsibility.”

But in the end, as Harry Truman once said, “the buck stops here” with you. The people elected you, not progressive-lite. They didn’t elect you to manage the decay, but tear it up from its roots and cast it into the fires of Mount Doom. You owe these party bosses, primarily known for perfecting the duck and cover or presiding over the surrender caucus, absolutely nothing. Less than nothing, in fact. And if they don’t want to pursue the agenda the people elected you to do, you now have the full power of the White House to wreak havoc on them at home in their own backyards/primaries.

Use that power if need be. Like Fonzi only had to invite someone to step into his office on Happy Days once, make an example out of somebody if need be. Do the will of the regular folk from Bubba Ville (as your supporter Mike Huckabee describes it) sent you there to do. You don’t need the system. You don’t need the media. You can go directly to the people now to make your case with the largest bully pulpit on the planet. You want to build a legacy? It’s one thing to leave your name behind on skyscrapers, but it’s entirely another to re-shape the world stage.

Nevertheless, don’t forget that with great power comes great responsibility. You will take an oath of office in January, and presumably continue the tradition to swear it “so help me God.” Though you hold the most powerful office in the world, you are not the most powerful force in this world. And you will be held eternally accountable for the solemn and lofty responsibility you are about to accept.

This is not a game of Risk. This is not a competition between moguls in Manhattan. This is for real, with the lives of millions of people across the globe literally in the balance based on the decisions you will make each day. Therefore, seek out serious spiritual and moral guidance. Know that the God founding father James Madison once referred to as “the governor of the universe” will grant you wisdom if you truly seek it.

    And you should.

For you are about to walk the most dangerous tight rope known to man. To know when to turn on the alpha male and when not to. To throw your weight around to get things done while denying yourself the desire to always get the credit for it. You alone cannot solve our problems, but you alone are now primarily responsible for doing so. Know what it means to be meek, which is to exercise great power under control.

Also know that millions of us will be praying for you to succeed, including those of us like myself who didn’t vote for you, but that doesn’t matter now. We are all Americans, and we need you to be successful every bit as much as you need us to achieve the success you crave.

    • I hope President Trump ignores these beta-male handwringing, Mother Thatcher worshipping neurotic thoughts.

      “Legend has it…”

      “…millions of us praying..”

      WTF

      • As mentioned, “I am not a whole-hearted supporter of the following”, but we need to find some way of creatin unity out of the insane divisiveness that 0bama has sown over the past EIGHT YEARS.

However much the Liberal Left would love to blame Trump’s (admittedly incendiary) rhetoric for further dividing America, it is their own radical minions who are driving the wedge even deeper into this nation’s political heart.

For that, all of these “protesters” (against free elections) should feel free to rot in everlasting hell.

    • The Donald isn’t a politician use to saying one thing and doing another, he has gotten very rich by keeping his promises and doing what he said he would. I find it unlikely that he will suddenly start acting like a politician. Congress and the media may probably will try to stop him from doing most of what he campaigned for. He has the Bully Pulpit and can to the the people asking them to hold the feet of the members of Congress to the fire.

Having said that I want to point out that he understands why the people are upset and voted for him and betraying the people that put him in office isn’t a good way to keep things peaceful.

  3. “I loathe Mr Trump for his coarseness, his crudity, and his scorn for morals, tradition and law.”

People who make a living off the Legacy Media, like Peter Hitchens, often hold the higher moral ground over their subjects.
    http://www.dailymail.co.uk/debate/article-3931038/PETER-HITCHENS-Think-Trump-bad-Wait-comes-next.html

To find his moral compass one only has to look further down his column.

“Surely the most moving words written or spoken by anyone in the past year were Leonard Cohen’s message to his one-time lover Marianne Ihlen, when he learned that she was dying: ‘Know that I am so close behind you that, if you stretch out your hand, I think you can reach mine.’”

“One -time lover.” What an acolade to a dying women of said skills.

    Crude and crass.

    • God what an ass, Trump doing what he campaigned for isn’t what is creading the violence, it is the left paying people to oppose the left losing the cushy jobs that let them take freedom and property from the ordinary people. continuing on that course would lead to a massive revolution that would be a true class war revolution like the French Revolution was. It would result in a reign of terror as the ordinary people take revenge on the politicians and those who bribed the politicians to oppresses the people.

  4. Turkey halts activities of 370 groups with suspected ‘terrorist’ links (memo, Nov 13, 2016)
    https://www.middleeastmonitor.com/20161113-turkey-halts-activities-of-370-groups-with-suspected-terrorist-links/?

“Turkey has halted the activities of 370 non-governmental groups over their alleged terrorist links following a failed coup in July.

Deputy Prime Minister Numan Kurtulmus defended the ban on the activities of the NGOs operating across the country, which was announced by the Interior Ministry late on Friday.

“The organisations are not shut down, they are being suspended. There is strong evidence that they are linked to terrorist organisations,” Kurtulmus said.

“Turkey has to fight terrorism on so many different fronts. We are trying to clear the state institutions from Gulenists. At the same time we are fighting against Kurdish militants and Islamic State,” Kurtulmus told reporters on Saturday.

Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan calls the exiled cleric’s network the “Gulenist Terror Organisation” and says the unprecedented crackdown is crucial to rid state institutions of infiltrators seeking to topple the government.

Of the 370 associations affected by Friday’s ban, 153 were allegedly linked to the Gulen movement, 190 to the Kurdish militant group PKK, 19 to the far-leftist militant group DHKP-C, and eight to Islamic State, the interior ministry said.

It added that investigations into the groups were continuing and pledged “determination to fight all kinds of structures, groups and institutions with links to terror organisations.””

  5. Turkey suspends hundreds of navy officers connected to the Gulenist movement (memo, Nov 13, 2016)
    https://www.middleeastmonitor.com/20161113-turkey-suspends-hundreds-of-navy-officers-connected-to-the-gulenist-movement/?

“Hundreds of Turkish naval officers have been suspended amid a probe after the attempted coup, the country’s defence ministry revealed on Sunday.

An announcement carried on the Turkish National Defence Ministry’s official Twitter account said a total of 168 commissioned officers and 123 non-commissioned officers had been suspended from duty.

Fifteen commissioned officers and four non-commissioned officers were also dismissed.

The suspensions come amid the Turkish government’s fight against the Gulen movement – an illegal parallel state structure – following a failed coup bid on July 15.

More than 240 people died and nearly 2,200 others were injured during the events of July 15.”

  6. After Trump Win, Parallel Path Is Seen for Marine Le Pen of France’s Far Right

HÉNIN-BEAUMONT, France — It was a moment of intense French patriotism on a sunny Friday, Armistice Day. A band blared “La Marseillaise,” the national anthem. Shouts of “Vive la France!” filled the chilly November air. And there, too, was Marine Le Pen, leader of the far-right National Front party, beaming.

Before Donald J. Trump’s presidential victory in the United States this week, Ms. Le Pen was considered a disruptive political force but far from a true threat to become president herself when France votes next spring. Not anymore.

Since Wednesday, French news outlets, along with Ms. Le Pen’s mainstream political rivals, have been repeating the same thing: It could happen here.

And Ms. Le Pen is not alone. From the Balkans to the Netherlands, politicians on the far right have greeted the election of Mr. Trump with unrestrained delight and as a radical reconfiguring of the political landscape — not just in the United States, but in Europe as well.

    http://www.nytimes.com/2016/11/12/world/europe/donald-trump-marine-le-pen.html

      • Russia is a European country.

This is where Marine Le Pen goes off the rails. Please permit me to quote an eminent Orientalist:

Let it be clearly understood that the Russian is a delightful person till he tucks in his shirt. As an Oriental he is charming. It is only when he insists upon being treated as the most easterly of western peoples instead of the most westerly of easterns that he becomes a racial anomaly extremely difficult to handle. The host never knows which side of his nature is going to turn up next.

        — Rudyard Kipling

I welcome any debate on this topic. Over and over again, Russia has demonstrated to all and sundry a definitively Asiatic disregard for human life that differentiates it from much of Western civilization.

    • UK: Anti-fascists picket the BBC over Le Pen interview

Dozens of activists gathered together in front of the BBC Headquarters in Central London, Sunday, to protest against an interview being broadcast with the French far-right politician Marine Le Pen on the Andrew Marr show.

Joint-secretary of Unite Against Fascism Abby Dhalu stated that the BBC shouldn’t be “giving a platform to people like Marine Le Pen and that the public broadcasting company should “issue an apology for interviewing her today.”

The demonstration, which was organised by the group ‘United Against Fascism’, targeted the BBC as it is publicly owned and funded by tax payer’s money.

  7. From Brexit to Trump, Europe reels from year of crises

Brussels (AFP) – The European Union’s founders believed its unity would be forged in crisis, but after Brexit and the election of Donald Trump to the White House the bloc looks shakier than ever.

On Sunday, foreign ministers from the 28 EU countries will hold talks in Brussels on the impact of a president who has previously questioned the decades-old transatlantic pact to defend the continent.

With populists on the rise, Russia posing an increasingly menacing presence to the east, the migration crisis and the endless fallout from the eurozone debt crash, many fear perpetual turmoil.

EU President Donald Tusk said on Wednesday that the events of 2016 were a “warning sign for all who believe in liberal democracy”, and urged Europe to “finally get our act together”.

But Trump’s election has made it harder to regroup, given that Europe — while trying to stay pragmatic in dealing with Washington — has no idea what to really expect from the billionaire.

And European Commission chief Jean-Claude Juncker is worried that a lot of time could be wasted teaching Trump about Europe.

  8. Italy referendum result could send shockwaves through markets and DESTROY Europe
THE EU’s days might be numbered with Italy about to vote on a referendum which could send shockwaves across the continent.

Analysts believe the outcome of the ballot on constitutional reform could have massive global implications.

With many European leaders already coming under severe pressure from anti-EU parties ahead of elections next year the significance of the Italian result is huge.

  9. Richard: Erdogan continues to crack down on the military, he is ruining the Turkish military in his quest to ensure loyalty to him.

Turkey suspends 291 navy personnel over links to failed coup

ANKARA (Reuters) – Turkey suspended from duty 168 officers and 123 non-commissioned officers from its navy over alleged links to a coup attempt in July, the defense ministry said on Sunday, as the government continues its purge.

It also dismissed 15 officers and 4 non-commissioned officers from the navy, the statement said.

Since the failed coup attempt, more than 110,000 judges, teachers, police and civil servants have been suspended or dismissed and 36,000 formally arrested in a crackdown that President Tayyip Erdogan’s critics say is quashing legitimate opposition.

Late on Saturday, an Istanbul court formally arrested the chairman of opposition newspaper Cumhuriyet at Istanbul’s main airport on Friday, days after nine of its executives and journalists were formally arrested.

Authorities had ordered the paper’s editor and senior staff be held in jail pending trial over the secularist newspaper’s alleged support for a coup attempt on July 15.

Under the state of emergency declared after the coup attempt, police can detain suspects for up to 30 days before a court must decide whether to issue a formal arrest warrant pending trial.

  10. Thousands march in U.S. cities against Trump presidency

NEW YORK/LOS ANGELES (Reuters) – Chanting “Not my president” and “love trumps hate,” thousands of demonstrators took the streets in cities across the United States at the weekend to protest against President-elect Donald Trump, who they say threatens their civil and human rights.

Police in Portland, Oregon, where a protester was shot early on Saturday but not seriously injured, said they arrested more than 20 people late on Saturday after protesters tossed burning flares and bottles at them and refused orders to disperse.

The biggest rallies were in New York, Los Angeles and Chicago, where organizers said they wanted to build on the momentum after several nights of protests triggered by the real-estate mogul’s surprise win in Tuesday’s presidential election.

In New York, several thousand protesters marched peacefully up Fifth Avenue past its glitzy store fronts, some already bearing Christmas decorations, before filling the streets at the foot of Trump Tower, the president-elect’s skyscraper home.

    • The media is talking a lot about how The Donald has to heal the divisions in the Republican Party and the Nation but they are silent about the divisions in the Democrats. The paid rioters come from the far left wing of the party and are trying to both scare the nation into abandoning the Constitution to swear in Hillary even though she lost despite the vote fraud. This has caused a war inside the Democrat Party with one group wanting more radical actions including riots and secession and another wing wanting to accept the election and work to increase the number of seats they hold in Congress in two years.

I predict a split like the IRA did with a supposedly law abiding political group that tries to justify the violence of the criminal terrorist groups that will spin off. The jihadists will take advantage of the cover the leftist terror acts will give and attack themselves.

  11. U.S. to push ahead on climate pact before Trump takes over: Kerry

WELLINGTON (Reuters) – U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry said on Sunday the Obama administration would do everything it could to implement a global agreement to combat climate change before President-elect Donald Trump takes office.

Kerry made the comments during a visit to New Zealand just before setting off to Marrakesh, Morocco to take part in climate talks between 200 nations.

Donald Trump, who calls global warming a hoax and has promised to quit the Paris Agreement, was considering ways to bypass a theoretical four-year procedure for leaving the accord, according to a source on Trump’s transition team.

Kerry declined to speculate on what Trump might do about the Paris Agreement and noted that there was sometimes a difference between campaigning and governing.

But the top American diplomat was clear he thought further action to prevent climate change should be a priority.

  12. What do you know: ‘Diversity’ produced Trump vote
    By J.E. Dyer

We may be seeing only the beginning of the “unintended consequences” a Trump victory will bring out from our progressive friends’ plans for America.

This morning, LU reported on the unintended consequence of Obama’s DACA and DAPA databases of registered illegal migrants. The database, if left in place for the Trump administration, will allow Trump to identify illegals for deportation.

Blake Neff of the Daily Caller News Foundation quoted this immigration analyst:

    http://libertyunyielding.com/2016/11/12/know-diversity-produced-trump-vote/

    • When you attack peoples culture and national identity and call them racist when they fight back you get massive turnouts for elections against the party supporting the assault on the people. You also wear out the term racist to the point that no one believes you when you claim racism. This unintended consequence has condemned the far left into years of political wilderness and hopefully guarenteed a conservative government for long enough to revers and repair the damage done to the US during the time period of 1900 to 2016. Remember it took over a Century to get into this mess and it will take at least that long to get out of the mess.

      • Remember it took over a Century to get into this mess and it will take at least that long to get out of the mess.

I cannot agree. A century ago we did not have this incredible intellectual power-tool call “the internet”. Akin to the (external or internal) combustion engine, assembly lines, integrated circuits (the microprocessor especially), lasers, and wireless communication, the internet can foment change to a degree unprecedented in all of human history.

At the very least, it is why I am here at this site. We have within our power an ability to change the world. And change it we must in order to avoid the ruinous, demoralizing pseudo-vision of Cultural Marxism that has eroded all semblance of sanity throughout Western Civilization.

        • People can change quickly but not unless a major crisis forces them to, It will take a long time before the vast majority of the people return to the idea that they are to solve their own problems and that the Government can’t take care of them. Some will never accept this idea.

We will have to start by replacing teachers who will teach instead of indoctrinating people and this will have to occur on all levels of education. This is the easy part, educating the kids to accept responsiblity. The hard part will be to educate the adults and weaning the welfare class off the government teat. The latter is the reason that it will take a long time, we now have people whose ancestors went on welfare back in the 1950s and 1960s and they have never learned to work, their mothers (the fathers generally aren’t there) have taught them you don’t have to work. Parental teaching will dilute the lessons in school and will require time, many decades, to overcome.

The welfare class is the reason it will take so long, not the middle and working poor, they will take 20 years or less if the schools are turned around. The welfare class will take time and require a lot of work.

    • What?!? No Teddy bears? No flowers? No candles?

What’s this (passive) world coming to?

Screw the farking balloons. How about a towering heap of smoking Korans?

        • Thank you, Richard. Please know how much I genuinely appreciate your contributions to this website. The price of Freedom is vigilantism eternal vigilance.

Far too many generations of American youth utterly reject … ridicule … blithely ignore are entirely unacquainted with the fundamental notion that, “Freedom is not Free”.

However clichéd, or seemingly trite, this time-tested maxim might seem to be, it hacks me off no end whenever I think of how the world-at-large manages to laugh at studiously ignore the MILLIONS of young, Western White men that willingly GAVE UP THEIR LIVES in order to defend the rest of this planet’s population against the absolute (e.g., Nazism, Japanese Imperialism, Soviet Communism, etc…) tyranny of vicious b@stards that wanted to our world into their psychopathic playground. Again, thank you.

          • There are several reasons for the problems you laid out, mainly it is lack of real education and massive indoctrination but there is an element of envy that we did and continue to do things they either refuse to do or can’t do.

Thank you for the compliment all I am doing is trying to see that my nephews grand-kids (when ever they arrive) will have a chance of growing up in a civilized world. I realize that in many ways civilization has already been destroyed and that while we seem to be on the way to preserving freedom preserving civilization is much harder and that path will be very hard. What worries me is that we may be forced to destroy civilization to preserve freedom.

            • In no particular order:

What worries me is that we may be forced to destroy civilization to preserve freedom.

I agree. The privilege of being cavemen with an absolute right to own unregistered clubs is entirely overrated.

…there is an element of envy that we did and continue to do things they either refuse to do or can’t do.

Like landing (and safely returning) lunar astronauts?!?

You betcha! Far worse than any “element of [foreign] envy” is the internal (i.e., domestic) self-hatred that has been bred up in American society and schools. It’s why I keep posting so many links to Yuri Bezmenov.

              For your delectation:

              You Can’t Fix Stupid

Time Travel is Exclusively a White Privilege

              MADE YOU SMILE!!!

              • I agree. The privilege of being cavemen with an absolute right to own unregistered clubs is entirely overrated.

Its not really over rated, no civilization can survive without a large degree of freedom for its citizens. No large degree of freedom and survive without the citizens having access to the tools to resist the government if it turns oppressive.

History has repeatedly shown that when the law abiding citizens are disarmed eventually the government turns oppressive. The most dramatic current examples of this are Britain and Germany. The Founders of the US were highly educated men who understood the lessons of history on this and other areas that involved the government trying to oppress the people.

In Medieval Europe the two nations that were the freest from whom our current ideas of freedom grew were England and Switzerland. The English in order to remain free from various Nobles who wanted to become King decided to not only enforce the old Saxon law of Let all Free Men be Armed but encoded it. They ordered that all free yeomen were required to own a War Bow (draw or pull which ever you want to use of 80 pounds or better) and a certain number of arrows. Using Bodkin points on the arrows these bows could take an armored knight off his horse. The men were required to assemble on the village green once a week to practice with their bows.

The Swiss who broke free from their feudal neighbors by using local militias to fight the feudal armies of the surrounding Nobles. This is where the requirement that all able bodied men must serve in the Swiss Army. They keep their weapons rifles, handguns and crew served machine guns at home along with the ammo for them and the ammo for them. After they are discharged they keep the weapons they were issued. (Some families have collections of Swiss military firearms that go back to the 1700s (I drool at the thought of what some of the weapons they own are and wish I had them even though I know I can’t afford to take care of them the way they need.))

Civilizations that disarm their citizens quickly lose the right to call themselves civilized because they bring in thought control laws and police, this is what cultural Marxism, political correctness and hate speech laws are, thought control. When you can’t talk about certain ideas you eventually stop thinking them.

What makes up civilization isn’t disarmed citizens but rather the people and the government believing in the rule of law and the rights of all people to be equal before the law. You will notice that the people in the US that want to disarm the people are the ones who also want thought control laws.

As Robert Heinlein wrote in at least one of his books, the base idea filled all of his books. An Armed Man is a Free Man he also said that You can’t enslave a free man, the worst you can do is kill him.

Final thought, Mao said that all power springs from the muzzle of a gun. What he didn’t say and hoped people didn’t know is that all freedom springs from the muzzle of guns in the hands of free men.

      • Another waste of time and money by fools trying to make themselves think they are doing something about the problem.

  13. PRISON RACE WAR: Fears tensions set to explode as gangs pitch against Muslim inmates (express, Nov 13, 2016)
    http://www.express.co.uk/news/uk/731745/Prison-Race-War-fears-tensions-explode-gangs-pitch-against-Muslim-inmates

“PRISON guards have been put on high alert in British prisons as race wars threatened to break out in jails across the country, it has been claimed.

Groups of inmates are said to have launched the ‘Death Before Dishonour’ (DBD) groups to protect themselves from attacks.

Tensions are bubbling in the country’s maximum security prisons over risk of violence from Muslim inmates.

The gangs made up of non muslim members have created the DBD groups from Close Supervision Centres housing the most dangerous prisoners in the UK.

A source told the Sunday People: “There have been top-security briefings warning of this organisation being set up and focusing on inmates in Close Supervision Units.

“So there is serious concern with so many hundreds, if not thousands, of followers of Islam in the prison system.

“At many of our prisons there is already huge tension between Muslim and non-Muslim prisoners.

“Clearly there is deep concern that this group could expand and the conflict could escalate out of all control.”

Many of those involved in the gangs are said to be some of the most dangerous prisoners in Britain.

They have been accused of murder and serious crime and many are serving life terms.

According to reports one in five inmates serving sentences in Britain’s maximum security jails are Muslim…”

    • According to reports one in five inmates serving sentences in Britain’s maximum security jails are Muslim…

Four against one. Sounds like good odds to me.

Could it be that those ‘Death Before Dishonour’ lads are getting a little worked up over the prospect of free-range Muslim predators grooming their daughters, granddaughters and nieces for a bit of “hide the sausage”?

      • That is a very good possibility, they fear attacks in the prisons and for their families that are out among the poor who are those most likely to live close to the Moslems.

        • Perish the thought of British prison wardens actively discouraging those who might curtail jihadist recruitment and Islamic crime syndicates from flourishing within their domain. [GASP!]

  14. Palestine will ‘unleash all weapons’ on US if Trump moves embassy to Jerusalem – UN envoy (RT, Nov 13, 2016)
    https://www.rt.com/news/366780-trump-us-embassy-jerusalem/

“Palestine’s UN envoy promised to make life “miserable” for the White House if it transfers the US Embassy to Jerusalem, following Donald Trump’s remarks suggesting an appeasement to Israel’s land claims in the West Bank.

Riyad Mansour, the Palestinian ambassador to the United Nations, said in Washington on Friday that the move would represent a blatant defiance of Palestine’s rights over occupied Jerusalem. Palestinians would fire back, he said, according to Haaretz.

Mansour, a US-educated diplomat, stressed the possible transfer of the US Embassy to Jerusalem – partially occupied by the Israelis – would be regarded as a belligerent act towards Palestine. “If they do that, nobody should blame us for unleashing all of the weapons that we have in the UN to defend ourselves and we have a lot of weapons in the UN,” he said…”

  15. France likely to extend state of emergency to ‘protect democracy’ during elections – PM (RT, Nov 13, 2016)
    https://www.rt.com/news/366713-france-emergency-extension-terrorism/

“The state of emergency in France will most likely be extended because of the ongoing terrorists threat. The country is entering the presidential election campaign period, the French PM said on the anniversary of Paris attacks which claimed the lives of 130 people.

“It is difficult today to end the state of emergency,” French Prime Minister Manuel Valls told the BBC’s Hardtalk show. “Especially since we are going to begin a presidential campaign in a few weeks with meetings, with public gatherings. So we must also protect our democracy.”…”

      • There is a more straight forward way to protect French democracy…

As a professional chef, I’d like to think it has something that involves how the frogs managed to invent really huge and sharp knives.

As in, the better to have all Muslim men singing soprano.

  17. ISIS training militants to pass refugee application procedures in Europe – report (RT, Nov 13, 2016)
    https://www.rt.com/news/366768-isis-training-refugees-guise/

“Islamic State specifically trains militants to camouflage themselves as ordinary refugees and pass necessary application procedures to be granted asylum in European countries, according to sources in German intelligence.

The terrorist group is teaching militants methods of infiltrating Europe as refugees while not attracting attention from law enforcement agencies, according to a Die Welt report citing Germany’s Federal Intelligence Service (BND).

In particular, the training is focused on creating the impression of a “classical” asylum seeker in case of interrogation by police officers or questions from fellow migrants, the BND said, choosing not to elaborate on the topic…”

  18. Donald Trump Boosts Europe’s Anti-Establishment Movement
“What America can do we can do as well.”

    https://www.gatestoneinstitute.org/9309/trump-europe

Donald Trump’s electoral victory has come as a shock to Europe’s political and media establishment, which fears that the political sea change underway in the United States will energize populist parties in Europe.

Anti-establishment politicians, many of whom are polling well in a number of upcoming European elections, are hoping Trump’s rise will inspire European voters to turn out to vote for them in record numbers.

Commenting on Trump’s victory, Dutch lawmaker Geert Wilders, wrote: “America has just liberated itself from political correctness. The American people expressed their desire to remain a free and democratic people. Now it is time for Europe. We can and will do the same!”

More than a dozen elections will be held in Europe during the next twelve months, beginning with a re-run of the Austrian presidential election scheduled for December 4. Polls show that Norbert Hofer, of the anti-immigration Austrian Freedom Party, is on track to win that race.

Also on December 4, Italians will vote in a referendum on reforming the constitution. Observers say Trump’s victory will make it more difficult for Italian Prime Minister Matteo Renzi, one the few world leaders publicly to endorse Hillary Clinton, to prevail. They say Renzi’s open support for Clinton will hurt Italy’s relations with the United States. Renzi has said he will resign if he loses the referendum, which calls for curbing the role of the Senate. Most opinion polls show the “no” camp ahead. Renzi says the move will simplify decision-making, but opponents say it will reduce checks and balances.

  19. Iran Breaches Nuclear Deal – Again. What’s Next?

    by Majid Rafizadeh
    November 13, 2016 at 4:30 am

    https://www.gatestoneinstitute.org/9312/iran-breaches-nuclear-deal

One of the terms of the JCPOA accord, which never had any legal legitimacy and which Iran never signed, is that Iran should restrict the amount of specific nuclear materials it possesses during the nuclear deal. According to a report by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), however, Iran has violated the deal by holding more heavy water, used to produce nuclear weapons, than it is supposed to have.

This is not the first time Iran has violated the terms of the flimsy nuclear agreement with no consequences. In February 2016, Iran exceeded its threshold for heavy water as well. In a previous article, other violations and reports of Iran’s recent cheating and breaches of the nuclear agreement are laid out.

U.S. President Barack Obama is nevertheless ignoring these latest violations, and the UN and IAEA reports as well. In fact, the administration, and State Department spokesman Mark Toner, are defending Iran on this issue, and appear willing to give critical concessions to Iran in the next round of talks in Baghdad this week.

One of the critical concessions concerns the military dimension of Iran’s nuclear program, designed to develop nuclear weapons. IAEA chief Yukiya Amano is investigating whether Tehran has secretly worked on developing nuclear weapons.

The head of the UN nuclear agency flew to Iran to finally put an end to the idea that Iran has plans of developing nuclear arms. Amano pointed out that “I really think this is the right time to reach agreement.” However, the IAEA and President Obama appear more than willing to close this investigation.

    • However, the IAEA and President Obama appear more than willing to close this investigation.

I’m shocked, shocked I tell you! Iran wiping its @ss with breaching the fecking toothless nuclear deal that 0bama helped to broker? How predictable astonishing is that? What’s next? Will the sun rise in the east?

  20. Sidney Blumenthal: “Cabal Of Right-Wing FBI Agents” Took Down Hillary In A “Coup D’Etat”

After weeks/months of the Hillary campaign bashing Trump for “irresponsibly” questioning the legitimacy of the election process, Clinton-insider, Sid Blumenthal, is apparently making the media rounds in Europe attributing her loss to a “coup d’etat” organized by “a cabal of right-wing agents of the FBI in the New York office attached to Rudy Giuliani.”

“It was the result of a cabal of right-wing agents of the FBI in the New York office attached to Rudy Giuliani, who was a member of Trump’s campaign.”

“I think it’s not unfair to call it a coup. Yeah, a coup d’etat.”

  21. President-elect Trump says how many immigrants he’ll deport

Donald Trump will appear in his first extensive post-election interview Sunday on “60 Minutes” at 7 p.m. ET/PT

President-elect Donald Trump’s hard-line immigration stance was a central part of his campaign message in 2016 — and he said in an interview airing Sunday that he plans to immediately deport approximately two to three million undocumented immigrants.

“What we are going to do is get the people that are criminal and have criminal records, gang members, drug dealers, where a lot of these people, probably two million, it could be even three million, we are getting them out of our country or we are going to incarcerate,” Trump said in an interview with CBS’ “60 Minutes.” “But we’re getting them out of our country, they’re here illegally.”

He continued by saying that after the border is “secure,” immigration officials will begin to make a “determination” about the remaining undocumented immigrants in the U.S.

“After the border is secure and after everything gets normalized, we’re going to make a determination on the people that they’re talking about who are terrific people, they’re terrific people but we are gonna make a determination at that,” he said. “But before we make that determination…it’s very important, we are going to secure our border.”

Asked whether he really plans to build a wall along the U.S.-Mexico border — a proposal that served as a centerpiece of his campaign message — Trump replied, “Yes.”

Since Trump’s election on Tuesday night, the realities of actually building that wall have begun to set in The Mexican government has publicly reminded him that Mexico will not pay for the wall. And asked about the wall, Trump transition co-chair Newt Gingrich said the wall was “a great campaign device.”

Trump also told “60 Minutes” that the border wall, which was one of the centerpieces of his campaign platform, could be part wall and “some fencing,” in accordance with what congressional Republicans have proposed.

“For certain areas I would, but certain areas, a wall is more appropriate,” he said. “I’m very good at this, it’s called construction.”

    http://www.cbsnews.com/news/president-elect-trump-says-how-many-immigrants-hell-deport/

    • By turning the Border Patrol and ICE loose to do their jobs we will end up deporting more then 3 million. Not all at once but more, we will probably drive the activists who are illegal aliens either underground or out of the country.

    • Few people comprehend how America’s Liberal “immigration” policies DESTROY MEXICO.

Please consider viewing this most excellent, “video“, by Professor Roy Beck. In a mere six minutes, this supremely eloquent individual annihilates almost all Liberal notions of why transnational immigration has the slightest hope of (according to accepted Liberal doctrine) curing global poverty.

      Immigration, World Poverty and Gumballs

Beck’s logic is impeccable and delivered with a sense of total humanity for all other races.

Too bad that most other countries, cultures and races are so hell bent on sucking dry the overly-generous teat of Western social benefits that they will NEVER realize how critically important it is for their own nations to achieve socioeconomic stability.

Please ask yourself … how able would Mexico or the Philippines (among so many other similarly dependent countries) be in terms of supporting themselves without monetary remittances sent home by OFWs (Offshore Foreign Workers)???

  23. US House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy: GOP agenda on Capitol Hill doesn’t include any more Hillary Clinton investigations

A senior congressional Republican says the GOP’s agenda in the upcoming Congress doesn’t include further investigations of Hillary Clinton.

Speaking Sunday on Fox News, House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy says Republicans on Capitol Hill will focus on job creation, reforming and repealing President Barack Obama’s health care law, and rebuilding’s America’s roads and bridges.

McCarthy says he will leave any inquiries of Clinton to law enforcement. The GOP won control of both the House and Senate.

Clinton’s use of a private email server during her tenure as secretary of state shadowed her presidential candidacy. House Republicans launched their own probe of Clinton after the FBI in July declined to recommend criminal charges. The House Oversight and Government Reform Committee held several high-profile hearings on her server before the election.

    • Still playing identity politics, they haven’t learned that that is what is costing them voters. Of course the left is famous for its inability to live in the real world or come up with new ideas.

  24. zero hedge – Blocks Of Anti-Trump Protest Buses Caught On Tape

Earlier today we showed that, contrary to USA Today’s claims that the anti-Trump protests across the nation are “spontaneous, involving people from all walks of life”, according to Wikileaks documents at least two of the people profiled by USA Today have a history of being professional agitators for the Democratic party, whose task is to stir up popular protests and – in extreme cases – unleash rioting, such as the following clip showing the latest day of violent protests in Portland revealed.

Police repeatedly charge anti-Trump protesters as Portland chaos continues

    https://t.co/h3Y24Ykb9h

Now, courtesy of a Zero Hedge reader, we have visual confirmation of how a substantial portion of these professional, paid protesters arrive at the site of the protest, in this case Chicago.

As our reader notes, “I have a video of 5 city blocks on the West side of Chicago lined with busses from Wisconsin (Badger Bus Lines) bringing in protestors. The Sears tower is visible in the background.”

The video was taken at 3:30pm on South Canal Street in Chicago on Saturday. As our reader points out, hundreds of the participants that took part in the downtown Chicago protests from November 12 were bused in using these vehicles. Other arrived by train.
