  1. Migrants in Italy Allege Beatings, Electric Shocks and Sexual Abuse by Authorities, Says Amnesty (time, Nov 2, 2016)
    http://time.com/4554632/asylum-seekers-italy-abuse-beatings-amnesty/

“Amnesty collected testimonials from 24 people alleging that they were subjected to excessive force

Italian police allegedly beat, used stun batons and sexually abused asylum seekers in an attempt to obtain their fingerprints, according to a new report released on Wednesday by Amnesty International.

Amnesty collected testimonials from two dozen asylum seekers alleging they were subjected to excessive force. The human rights group says these instances of abuse could amount to torture and that the E.U.’s ‘Hotspot’ approach—to swiftly identify, register and fingerprint migrants landing on Europe’s external borders (like Italy)—fueled this “appalling abuse.”

Around 16 testimonials—which include children—involve beatings. A 25-year-old Eritrean, Helen, recalled being slapped on the face, “I don’t remember how many times,” she said, in early May for refusing to provide fingerprints. Adam, 27, from Sudan, told Amnesty of an incident this summer at a police station near the port of Catania after he refused to give his fingerprints. “There were six policemen in uniform,” he said. “With a baton they hit me on the shoulders, on the hip, and on the little finger on the left hand, which since then is twisted. I fell down and they started kicking me, I don’t know how many times, it lasted 10 minutes or so.”

He also alleged that police officers sexually abused him because he continued to resist fingerprinting. While he sat on an aluminum chair “with an opening on the seat,” Adam said he was allegedly told to undress and, “[they] took my testicles with the plier, and pulled twice.”

The second case of alleged sexual abuse recorded by Amnesty was done to a 16-year-old boy, Ishaq, from Sudan. He claims that police officers in a Turin train station took his group into a room and “started laughing” as they made them “undress, all naked.” When he resisted fingerprinting, a police officer pulled his genitals while another took a photo of him. “They held me by my four limbs, one person for each. The fifth pulled my penis down until she got me seated. At that point one took a photo of me, while another one was turning my head towards the camera” he said. “For two days I bled every time I peed.”

A number of other beatings in the report involved stun batons, which disrupts muscle function and causes pain through electric shocks. A 16-year-old, also from Sudan, who spoke to Amnesty said he was detained in a police station in Sicily after landing in the southern Italian island. “After three days… they took me to the ‘electricity room,’” he told Amnesty. “The police then asked me to give fingerprints. I refused. Then they gave me electricity with a stick, many times on the left leg, then on the right leg, chest and belly. I was too weak, I couldn’t resist and at that point they took both my hands and put them on the machine. I couldn’t resist.”

Italy’s Refugee Council, Consiglio Italiano per i Rifugiati, told TIME that they saw four migrants from Sudan who reported abuse in the coastal city of Taranto. “They stated that they were closed in a bus for 3 days and they were released only after being fingerprinted. One of them reported also beating on a leg,” the council said. According to Amnesty, while the vast majority of migrants are happy to provide thumbprints, certain people refuse as they want to seek asylum in another European country.

Countries like Italy and Greece have dealt with the bulk of migrants arriving to the continent. Last year, the ‘hotspot approach’ and an emergency-relocation scheme, where the processing of asylum seekers would be transferred to other European countries, were efforts by Brussels to ease the pressure on such frontline European states. Through Italy’s ‘hotspots,’ migrants are now screened and fingerprinted as soon as they step-off boats from the Mediterranean. Italian authorities then assess their legal status and separate people deemed asylum-seekers from the rest. Those considered ‘irregular migrants’ are usually repatriated.

Amnesty says this screening process is flawed because police officers lack appropriate training, and make decisions based based on answers by migrants who are ill-informed of their rights. “In their determination to reduce the onward movement of refugees and migrants to other member states, E.U. leaders have driven the Italian authorities to the limits–and beyond–of what is legal,” Matteo de Bellis, Amnesty International’s Researcher on Italy, said in a statement. “The result is that traumatized people, arriving in Italy after harrowing journeys, are being subjected to flawed assessments and in some instances appalling abuse at the hands of the police, as well as unlawful expulsions.”

Amnesty conducted interviews with 174 migrants for this report in 2016, Italy’s Interior Ministry has yet to respond to these allegations of abuse to either Amnesty or TIME.”

  2. Police to Lock Down Indonesian Capital for Blasphemy Protest (abcnews, Nov 3, 2016)
    http://abcnews.go.com/International/wireStory/police-lock-indonesian-capital-blasphemy-protest-43266523

“Indonesian police are planning a massive show of force in the capital Jakarta on Friday to contain a much-hyped protest by Muslim hardliners against the city’s popular governor that threatens to ignite religious and racial flashpoints.

An accusation of blasphemy against the Jakarta governor Basuki “Ahok” Tjahaja Purnama, an ethnic Chinese and minority Christian who is an ally of the country’s president, has galvanized his political opponents in the Muslim-majority nation of 250 million and given a notorious group of hardliners a national stage.

National Police spokesman Boy Rafli Amar said 16,000 police will be deployed along with 2,000 soldiers and 2,000 of Jakarta’s public order officers for the protest that is expected to begin in the early afternoon following Friday prayers. Gen. Gatot Nurmantyo, chief of Indonesia’s powerful military, has said it “will be in the frontline against any movement aimed at disrupting the unity and integrity of the nation.”

Indonesians are already fighting on social media over the blasphemy claim and the protest, which organizers optimistically boast will attract half a million people to Jakarta’s traffic clogged streets. Police have said it might draw up to 100,000 people based on communications with Muslim groups involved in its planning.

Blasphemy is a criminal offense in Indonesia and prosecutions have increased in the past decade. Amnesty International documented 106 convictions between 2004 and 2014 with some individuals imprisoned for up to five years.

Ahok, who is seeking a second term as Jakarta governor and is a possible running mate for President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo in the 2019 presidential elections, is popular with Jakarta’s middle class. He is adored as a blunt speaker who doesn’t tolerate corruption and articulates a vision to make the chaotic, dysfunctional city more like clean, orderly and efficient Singapore.

But the anti-corruption stance has made him enemies and the evictions of thousands of the city’s poorest people to make way for urban improvement has stoked anger and resentment and played to a stereotype of Chinese as exploiters of Indonesia’s poor Muslim masses. On the national stage, Ahok is ranged against former President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, whose son is a candidate for Jakarta governor, a role that is a stepping stone to national leadership…”

Counter terrorism police raided several homes across the city on Thursday as part of an ongoing investigation.

A 17-year-old suspect is accused of attempting to travel in 2015 to fight with the Islamic State (IS) group.

  4. Pakistan Withdraws Six Diplomats from New Delhi Amid Tensions Over Disputed Kashmir (time, Nov 3, 2016)
    http://time.com/4555910/pakistan-withdraw-diplomats-india/?

“Pakistan on Wednesday withdrew six diplomats from its embassy in New Delhi, officials said, amid rising tension between the two countries over the disputed region of Kashmir.

In another mark of the increasing animosity and suspicion between the nuclear-armed neighbors, two Pakistani officials said that they had uncovered an alleged “network of Indian spy agencies” working at the Indian embassy in Islamabad. They said authorities have sought Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s approval to expel a number of Indian diplomats. The officials spoke on condition of anonymity because of the sensitive nature of the issue.

In New Delhi, Vikas Swarup, the Indian External Affairs Ministry’s spokesman, confirmed that six Pakistani diplomats flew back to Islamabad after being withdrawn by their government. He told The Associated Press that Pakistan had not yet expelled any Indian diplomats from the country…”

  5. Burmese Police Say They Will Arm and Train Non-Muslims to Counter Suspected Jihadists (time, Nov 3, 2016)

“Much of Arakan state’s north is on military lockdown, and there are reports of rape and extra judicial killings by security forces

Police in Burma said they will soon begin arming and training civilians as part of ongoing counterterrorism operations in the country’s conflict-torn western Arakan state, after a deadly attack on border patrol officers last month. The government attributed the attacks to suspected militants belonging to the Muslim Rohingya community.

Senior state police officials told Reuters that non-Muslim residents in the state’s north “will be given weapons and other equipment, like police.” Training will reportedly begin on Nov. 7 for some 100 initial recruits in the state capital Sittwe, Police Captain Lin Lin Oo told the news agency…”

  7. Officials Hopeful ISIS Leader’s New Audio and Sightings Mean He’s Cornered (abcnews, Nov 3, 2016)
    http://abcnews.go.com/International/officials-hopeful-isis-leaders-audio-sightings-cornered/story?id=43262947

“As the top leader of ISIS, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, released a new audio speech today calling on his fighters to “decimate” Iraqi military forces closing in on his stronghold Mosul, counter-terrorism officials say unconfirmed sightings there of the so-called “caliph” have them increasingly hopeful he’s “surrounded.”

U.S. military analysts strongly suspect that al-Baghdadi is holed up in Mosul, Iraq’s second-largest city, now facing a siege by Iraqi and Kurdish forces and backed by American airpower and special operations forces. One knowledgeable counter-terrorism official said human intelligence in Mosul has supposedly spotted the terrorist leader, who has otherwise only appeared in public on video once in July 2014.

“There have been sightings but no proof it was actually him,” a counter-terrorism official told ABC News…”

“ISLAMIC State lynchpin Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi believes jihadis will win the battle for Mosul, according to new audio from the evil leader.

The ISIS mastermind claims to be confident that the militants can maintain their self-proclaimed caliphate in Mosul, despite the US-backed invasion which began two weeks ago.

In a rare audio clip, released online today by ISIS supporters, al-Baghdadi said: “This total war and the great jihad that the state of Islamic is fighting today only increases our firm belief, God willing, and our conviction that all this is a prelude to victory.”…”

  8. REVEALED: Secret ISIS documents describe how to take non-Muslim women as sex slaves (express, Nov 3, 2016)
    http://www.express.co.uk/news/world/728258/mosul-isis-secret-documents-sex-slaves-beards-yazidi

“ISLAMIC State’s vile “rules” for keeping sex slaves encourages jihadis to “enjoy” pre-pubescent girls, secret documents captured during the battle of Mosul have been revealed in sickening documents.

The pamphlets, discovered by US-backed Iraqi and Kurdish Peshmerga forces, say the warped terrorists are permitted to take non-Muslim women as “concubines”.

The cache of documents was reportedly found in villages recently re-captured by anti-ISIS forces around the besieged Iraqi city.

The harrowing material is said to include pink and red pamphlets with 32 questions and answers about dealing with female captives.

The leaflet reveals female prisoners are doled out to fighters by an ISIS chief.

It reportedly adds: “Non-Muslim women can be taken as concubines.

“Pre-pubescent girls can be taken as concubines. You cannot have penetrative sex but you can still enjoy them.”

The shocking guidelines offer an insight into life under the terror cult’s so-called Caliphate.

Daesh is said to have taken hundreds of minority Christian Yazidi women as sex slaves when it took over large swathes of northern Iraq two years ago…”

    http://www.express.co.uk/news/world/728259/iran-Iranian-Revolutionary-Guards-Corps-terror-military-west-fighters

“IRAN is deploying fighters to the West tasked with foiling plots against the Islamic Republic and the “whole world should know”, the country’s military has warned.

Personnel from the Iranian Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) will be sent to Europe and the US as part of a government campaign to thwart plots against the republic.

The fighters are being sent out “very soon” on the orders of Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ali Khamenei.

Salar Abnoush, deputy coordinator of the IRGC, said: “The whole world should know that the IRGC will be in the US and Europe very soon.

“The IRGC is [the] strong guardian of the Islamic Republic.”

In an article that appeared in a state-controlled publication closely tied to the IRGC, Mr Abnoush said: “The Fedayeen of Velayat [fighting force] are under the order of Iran’s Supreme leader.

“Defending and protecting the Velayat [the Supreme Leader] has no border and limit.”

The threatening comments come after it was revealed Iran is boosting its military spending in order to increase its presence in the Middle East and beyond.

The country is said to be using £810million in frozen assets released to the country when a nuclear deal was struck between Iran, the US, the UK, France, China and Russia this year….”

“ANGELA Merkel’s open door immigration policy has been dealt yet another blow after Germany’s interior minister insisted migrants responsible for the Cologne sex attacks must be forced to leave the country.

The Bundesrat – Germany’s upper parliament – has refused to class Algeria, Morocco, and Tunisia as “safe countries”, meaning migrants from those countries cannot be immediately deported.

Furious Thomas de Maiziere described the situation as “incomprehensible” after the lower parliament already classed these nations as safe in May…”

    • Germany: Merkel discusses integration, social support with pro-refugee groups

Angela Merkel, German Chancellor (German): “We have to concentrate on the procedure for granting the right of asylum as well as on the integration process. On one hand we understand that we face huge integration tasks and moreover we have to focus on the issues of the internal security. It is very important to name these problems with the purpose of solving them rather than sweeping them under the carpet which doesn’t improve the situation. The problems should be discussed and that is how we can come to a solution.”

Angela Merkel, German Chancellor (German): “One of the most important priorities on the international level is fighting against the causes that force people to flee their homes. The political situation in Syria, as we can see every day, is catastrophic for people living there; the situation in Libya, Iraq and Afghanistan remains unstable.”

Angela Merkel, German Chancellor (German): “We must proceed from the fact that around 3,000 people drowned in the Mediterranean Sea this year. We have to bring this illegal practice to an end.”

    http://www.express.co.uk/news/uk/673789/Blackburn-Islam-muslim-community-rise-of-the-burka-Koran-religion

“BLACKBURN was today named in a report on ‘community cohesion’ as one of the most segregated towns in Britain.

The findings came as a shock to everyone except the people of Blackburn.

Some areas of the town are 95 percent Asian and some shopkeepers have never served a white person.

Many locals feel that over a handful of decades Blackburn, and many nearby northern towns, has been sleepwalking to ghettoization, separation and nothing short of a neo-apartheid.

The ‘system’, social, political, religious and judicial has seemingly failed this town on every level.

Fear of offending the Muslim minority and political correctness, which values multiculturalism over integration, is cited by many Blackburners as the twin poisons which created this ill-at-ease, two-tier town.

Express(.)co(.)uk Head of News Paul Baldwin was born and bred in Blackburn and recently went back to investigate.

“WHAT the f**k are you doing?” asks a Muslim youth at the wheel of a shiny black BMW.

And right there, in one agressive, and obviously threatening question, three days of good work by well-meaning Islamic and non-Islamic authorities to promote a picture of decency and harmonious integration in this struggling northern town is fatally, for me at least, undermined…”

  12. Muslims ‘have the RIGHT to use Sharia law in Britain, says Islamic activist (express, Nov 3, 2016)
    http://www.express.co.uk/news/uk/728176/sharia-courts-uk-muslim-sharia-law-home-affair-select-committee-naz-shah

“AN ISLAMIC activist has claimed that Muslims have the right to use Sharia law and branded the Government’s inquiry into the matter as an “interference”.

Dr Ahmad al-Dubayan, chairman of the UK Board of Sharia Councils – a body set up to standardise the administration of Islamic law – said unregulated Sharia law courts exist “everywhere in the country”.

He told the Home Affairs Select Committee, on Tuesday, that the self-appointed courts are performing marriages and handing out divorces.

Although the unregulated bodies have no legal force or jurisdiction in the UK, they are regularly used by Muslim families to adjudicate on personal matters, the Committee heard.

Many courts reportedly charge for their services, with fees for divorce proceedings often higher than British courts.

The doctor warned that the exact number of Sharia courts operating across Britain is unknown.

He said: “We don’t know how many councils there are.

“Some people talk about 80 or 30 or 50, I don’t know. There is no record for this and no studies, unfortunately.”

He added that he could think of only two or three cases which had been unfair to women out of “hundreds” handled by Sharia councils.

The Select Committee heard that if Sharia courts are banned, backstreet courts will continue to operate but will slip even further under the radar…”

Last week, President Vladimir Putin said that Europe’s migration crisis was “completely predictable”, adding: “These are the policies of our American partners. Europe blindly follows within the framework of its so-called duties as an ally – and then must bear the burden.”
Asked whether Russia would join any programme to help refugees, Mr Peskov replied: “It’s hardly likely.”

  14. Turkey’s Erdogan says Germany has become ‘haven for terrorists’

ANKARA (Reuters) – Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan said on Thursday Germany had become a haven for terrorists and would be “judged by history”, accusing it of failing to root out supporters of a U.S.-based cleric Ankara blames for July’s failed military coup.

Erdogan said Germany had long harbored militants from the Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK), which has waged a three-decade insurgency for Kurdish autonomy, and far-leftists from the DHKP-C, which has carried out armed attacks in Turkey.

“We are concerned that Germany, which has protected the PKK and DHKP-C for years, has become the backyard of the Gulenist terror organization,” Erdogan said, referring to the network of U.S.-based cleric Fethullah Gulen.

“We don’t have any expectations from Germany but you will be judged in history for abetting terrorism … Germany has become an important haven for terrorists,” he told a ceremony at his palace in the capital Ankara.

Ankara blames Gulen for the coup attempt and has suspended or dismissed more than 110,000 of his suspected followers from the civil service, security forces and other institutions in a crackdown. Gulen has denied involvement in the putsch.

The German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier censured Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan over comments that Germany was harbouring terrorists, during a joint press conference with the Estonian Foreign Minister Juergen Ligi in Berlin, Thursday.

Frank-Walter Steinmeier, German Foreign Minister (German): “I cannot understand all of the statements made by President Erdogan about the security situation in Germany. However, independently from that, even though we want to have a constructive and close relationship with Turkey, that doesn’t allow us to mince our words when it comes to our opinion on the freedom of opinion and press. We haven’t done it so far and we will not do it today. We have made it clear to our Turkish partners how important we believe it [freedom of press and opinion] is.”

Frank-Walter Steinmeier, German Foreign Minister (German): “Turkey is and will remain an important country in the region in regards to the Syrian crisis and in Iraq, therefore we clearly have the desire to have a good and constructive relationship with this country, but the events of the last weeks have showed, also demonstrated following the visit of a German parliamentarian delegation to the city of Incirlik, that we are still in a difficult situation.”

Frank-Walter Steinmeier, German Foreign Minister (German): “I believe it there is less to consider on our side, but moreover a responsibility for the Turkish to make some decisions. Our position on the death penalty is known and unequivocal.”

    • State Department releases new batch of Hillary Clinton emails

WASHINGTON, DC — The State Department released its latest batch of emails from the FBI’s investigation of Hillary Clinton’s private email server Thursday — 1,280 pages of emails that were produced under court order with just five days until Election Day.

The latest release follows a compromise agreement reached this September in a Freedom of Information Act lawsuit. The agreement paved the way for at least 2,900 pages of Clinton’s emails to be reviewed ahead of November 8.

None of the new emails contained information marked as classified or newly upgraded to classified, but 18 were near duplicates that included a previously-released email that had been upgraded when originally released.

The State Department was initially tasked with processing 1,050 pages out of about 5,600 work-related emails before the election as part of an order in a separate FOIA lawsuit. But attorneys for the State Department and VICE News reporter Jason Leopold agreed to an accelerated release before the election.

After an initial review of the documents turned over by the FBI, the State Department concluded a “significant number” of the 5,600 work-related emails were duplicates or near-duplicates of emails already released to the public, and therefore will not be subject to re-released.

Clinton turned over approximately 55,000 pages of her emails in early 2015. Those were processed and produced to the public, with redactions, between May 2015 and March 2016.

An additional 350 pages are scheduled to be released Friday.

Good, bad, indifferent, it matters not. This is the outcome that all parties in control desperately have been struggling to bring about. They will probably use it as an excuse to start shooting indigènes. If anything, that will certainly vacate some housing for the invaders.

One question: Have there been any rapes committed by immigrants in the area?

Finally, please try to recall what EU apparatchiks are calling “underage” youths. That “10-year old Afghan boy” already might be shaving.

The Obama Department of Justice has been corruptly aiding and abetting the Democratic Party’s presidential nominee, Hillary Clinton, to escape legal accountability for her actions. From Attorney General Loretta Lynch on down through the Justice Department’s political ranks, the Department has blocked the FBI from searching for the truth and following the evidence of potential criminality to its logical conclusion. Whether it is Hillary’s use of a private e-mail server while serving as Secretary of State or her involvement in the pay-for-play Clinton enterprise known as the Clinton Foundation, the Obama administration is applying a banana republic-style double standard to pervert justice and the rule of law in order to shield her.

Lynch and President Obama were reportedly furious with FBI Director James Comey for sending a letter to Congress on October 28th indicating that new evidence potentially pertinent to the e-mail case had come to light, which required further investigation. This evidence consisted of a batch of e-mails FBI investigators had found on one or more computers belonging to Anthony Weiner, Clinton confidante Huma Abedin’s estranged husband, while they were searching for evidence in an unrelated case involving Weiner’s alleged sexting to an underage girl. Comey sent his letter after months of agonizing over his previous decision to let Hillary off the hook in the e-mail case last July. He was said by a source close to him to have been particularly disturbed by the mounting number of resignation letters from FBI agents who felt betrayed by that decision.

  20. CCTV Of The Washington Mall Shooting Got Released, And It’s Brutal

Video of Arcan Cetin’s Sept. 23 mall shooting rampage surfaced Oct. 28, showing Cetin methodically targeting innocent mall shoppers.

Cetin is charged with five counts of murder in the first degree and is being held on a $2 million bail. He is a legal permanent resident of the U.S. who emigrated from Turkey as a young child. Cetin reportedly had a history of assault charges, including punching his step-father in the face and throwing household items at home.

Cetin’s classmates say he often inappropriately touched his female classmates, and was ostracized by his high school peers. Court records obtained by the Associated Press reveal Cetin blamed his troubled behavior on marijuana use and alcohol. Authorities have not yet specified Cetin’s motive, or given any indication of a connection to international terrorism.

“CASH-STRAPPED councils are being forced to plug million-pound black holes left by the gap between what child migrants cost and what the Home Office provides.

Local authorities are paying out for care, immunisations, health checks, clothes and activities for teenagers coming over from Calais, while closing libraries, slashing creche hours and scrambling to save money after massive Tory cuts.

A report by the Association of Directors of Children’s Services (ADCS) has revealed councils are being forced to spend out on supporting teens after the Government’s decision to take on more children from Calais.

According to the report the number of lone child migrants in England has more than doubled from 2,050 in March 2014 to 4,210 in March 2016.

The revealing dossier showed among the 106 authorities which responded to the ADCS, 5,673 children were supported by local authorities in England in 2015/16.

Currently, 92 percent of the migrants being looked after in England are male, and 76 percent are aged 16 or 17.

    http://english.ahram.org.eg/NewsContent/2/8/247226/World/Region/Iran-commander-says-US-in-strong-decline.aspx

“A senior Iranian military official welcomed Thursday what he said was the “strong decline” of the United States, during celebrations marking the start of the 1979 US embassy siege.

“America is no longer number one and the first power of the world,” deputy Revolutionary Guards commander Hossein Salami told thousands gathered outside the former US mission in Tehran.

“America’s political will can no longer manage political and military development in… the world of Islam. America’s political power has strongly declined.”

Every year on November 3-4, Iran celebrates the 444-day siege of the embassy when more than 50 diplomats, staff and spies were taken hostage by Islamist students demanding the extradition of the shah, who had fled to America after being deposed a few months earlier in the Islamic revolution.

The crisis severed US-Iranian diplomatic ties for decades, but Tehran last year clinched a deal with world powers to curb its controversial nuclear programme in exchange for an easing of economic sanctions.

Protesters on Thursday chanted the traditional rallying cries of “Death to America” and “Death to the House of Saud”, in reference to Iran’s regional rival Saudi Arabia.

But the US remains Iran’s main enemy, and Tehran and Washington back opposing sides in several regional conflicts, including Syria and Yemen.

“Our fight with the Americans will continue” Salami said. “Pursuing our ideals in the world of Islam and in Iran, we will recognise no stopping point or red line.

He also warned the US not to criticise Iran’s ballistic missiles, calling its system “the real centre of our power (that) must be strengthened.””

“Two militants were killed and five others wounded Thursday when security forces raided a suspected militant hideout in Gesr El-Suez district, East Cairo.

Three policemen were injured and another militant was apprehended during the security operation, a security source told Al-Ahram Arabic website.

The clashes took place for 30 minutes at dawn, after militants opened fire on security forces from an area apartment building.

On Sunday, Egypt’s interior ministry announced that it arrested five men suspected of carrying out an improvised explosive device (IED) attack on Gesr Al Suez road in Cairo Friday, hours after the explosion killed one civilian.

The Ministry of Interior has not yet released a statement on the details of the raid.

“- A senior interior ministry official on Thursday denied allegations of beatings, abuse and illegal expulsions at asylum-seeeker hotspots in Italy in a report by Amnesty International. “It is totally false the the police use violence on migrants,” said Prefect Mario Morcone, the head of the interior ministry’s migration department. “I was disconcerted to read such stupidity. Amnesty compiles its reports in London, not in Italy”.

The European Commission has no knowledge of violations of migrants’ rights in Italian hotspots, EC immigration spokesperson Natasha Bertaud said Thursday. “Nothing of all that has been reported to us,” she said. 31. Migrants Admit ‘Boredom’, ‘Racism’ of Locals Drives them to Arson, Burning Cars

Speaking out in a frank interview with a local Swedish newspaper, a young migrant has explained how boredom and racism has driven him and his friends to violently vandalising property for amusement.

An investigation by the Vestmanlands Läns Tidning newspaper (VLT) into the frequent arsons that occur in the Swedish city of Västerås has come to a conclusive end, with a confession from a number of young migrant males regarding the destructive behaviour.

Speaking to the newspaper, one of a group of these migrants described as wearing black hoods and loitering outside a recently burnt-down shopping centre, was blunt when he said: “Some feel good to burn cars”. The unnamed male identifies disappointment in society and harassment by police as the main motivations for the arson.

Another young man tells the paper by email — he refuses to meet the journalist in person — that he and his friends feel pre-judged by native Swedes, and are discriminated against. Complaining that when locals witness acts of violent damage they don’t stop to consider the reasons behind it, he remarked:

  32. America’s “Arab Spring”

    by Nonie Darwish
    November 3, 2016 at 5:30 am

    https://www.gatestoneinstitute.org/9245/america-arab-spring

The goals of U.S. President Barack Obama in the Middle East ended the rule of most of the “secular” Arab leaders in the area. His views may have come, partly at least, from propaganda on why Muslim people supposedly lacked freedom there. Obama appears to have been told that if all these secular dictators could be brought down, a magnificent Arab Spring would blossom.

This was, it seems, precisely the goal of the Muslim Brotherhood: to get America’s help to topple the dictatorships — then mostly military and secular — but then to replace them with themselves, Islamists.

The goals of the Muslim Brotherhood happened to be in tune with Obama’s goals in the Middle East. Obama’s first major presidential speech took place in Cairo before a large number of Islamic sheikhs and members of the Muslim Brotherhood. They were empowered and given legitimacy by Obama. A scorned Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak did not attend; thus, with the blessing of the United States, the Muslim Brotherhood’s rise to power in Egypt was begun.

  33. Erdogan’s Neo-Ottoman Plans

    by Burak Bekdil
    November 3, 2016 at 4:00 am

    https://www.gatestoneinstitute.org/9254/erdogan-irredentism

Sipping his ouzo at a café in Athens on a warm afternoon in 2004, a Greek diplomat friend smiled and said:

“You are wrong about Erdogan. He will reform Turkey’s democratic culture, align it with the European Union, strengthen its ties with NATO and pursue a pro-peace policy in this part of the world. Meanwhile he will crush the secular army establishment and Turkey will no longer be a threat to any of its neighbors.”

I said: “Let us see how your Islamist friend [Erdogan] behaves after crushing the secular establishment.”

Twelve years later, I still enjoy our peaceful ouzo sessions with the same Greek friend. But things do not look equally peaceful between Turkey and its neighbors, including Greece.

Speaking at a public rally on October 22, President Erdogan said that “We did not accept our borders voluntarily.” He went on to say, “At the time [when the current borders were drawn] we may have agreed to it but the real mistake is to surrender to that sacrifice.” What does all that mean?

On October 19, Erdogan spoke of Turkey being constrained by foreign powers who “aim to make us forget our Ottoman and Seldjuk history,” when Turkey’s forefathers held territory stretching across Central Asia and the Middle East. His words came at a time when pro-government media was publishing maps depicting Ottoman borders encompassing an area that included Iraq’s second largest city, Mosul, a former Ottoman province.

  34. Conservative Treehouse is a gem.
Six Months of Corporate Media Gaslighting Collapses in Next 72 Hours….

There is always a specific inflexion point when the media narrative runs into reality. Within that tenuous ideological orbit, corporate interests attempt to obfuscate their retreat to safe places.

NEVER forget what the media has done in the past sixteen months.

Over the course of the next 72 hours we will see the corporate media begin positioning themselves to retain some semblance of post-election credibility.

Mysteriously “media polling” results drop their false narrative and shift to reflect reality. A reality that has always been the same, yet denied because the previous false narrative held a goal. Here’s a few examples from today: […]

David Mamet had a famous saying, essentially: …‘in order for genuine liberals to continue their illogical belief systems they have to pretend not to know a lot of things’… By pretending ‘not to know’ there is no guilt, no actual connection to conscience, denial of truth allows easier trespass.

In essence, liberalism maintained -in the face of overwhelming empirical evidence- requires feelings to overcome logic in the ongoing game of make believe. Hence, cognitive dissonance is the media’s preferred principle as large numbers of people need to be swayed to act against their own best interests.

To retain the larger ruse, Saul Alinsky expanded on (many would say took advantage of) the necessary dissonance and various illogical shell games (system overload) became a component of his modern approach. The media adopted this approach in how they deploy gaslighting strategies. This approach is simply lying in such a manner as you can later deny you’ve lied. Lies, manipulative lies, they can use to make you doubt yourself, your own cognitive grounding.

…Denial of Truth Allows Easier Trespass.

  36. Halal for CBS!
FBI finds emails related to Hillary Clinton’s State Department tenure

The FBI has found emails related to Hillary Clinton’s tenure as secretary of state on the laptop belonging to the estranged husband of Huma Abedin, Anthony Weiner, according to a U.S. official.

These emails, CBS News’ Andres Triay reports, are not duplicates of emails found on Secretary Clinton’s private server. At this point, however, it remains to be seen whether these emails are significant to the FBI’s investigation into Clinton. It is also not known how many relevant emails there are.

In a letter to Congress last Friday, FBI Director James Comey indicated that the agency was taking steps to review newly discovered emails relating to Clinton’s private email server. Those emails came from the laptop of Weiner, a former New York congressman. Abedin reportedly said she had no knowledge of the existence of any of her emails on Weiner’s laptop. On Monday, CBS News reported that the FBI had obtained a warrant for the emails.

In a separate matter, CBS News confirmed that there were disagreements between FBI agents looking into the Clinton Foundation and their superiors in Washington and at the Department of Justice. The Wall Street Journal reported Wednesday that the FBI was facing an “internal feud” over how to handle the Clinton Foundation case in the middle of election season. Officials say tension like this is common in many cases.

It is still unclear whether the FBI inquiry into the Clinton Foundation was a full-blown investigation. The current status of that inquiry is also unclear. However, no known charges have been filed related to the foundation.

  37. Hillary Clinton Gave Visa to Egyptian TERRORIST to Visit State Department, White House to Lobby for Blind Sheikh Release

In June 2012, Hillary Clinton’s State Department issued a visa to enter the United States to Hani Noor Eldin — an avowed member of the Egyptian terror group Gamaa Islamiya.

Gamaa Islamiya had been designated by the U.S. as a terror organization since October 1997 during the Clinton administration.

According to U.S. law, Eldin’s request for a visa must be denied.

But not only was Eldin allowed into the U.S., he was escorted into Hillary’s State Department where he met with Deputy Secretary of State William Burns and Under Secretary Robert Hormats. Eldin was then received at the White House by Denis McDonough, who was Obama’s deputy national security advisor at the time, and is currently the White House chief of staff.

According to published reports, Eldin used these meetings as an opportunity to press Obama administration officials to release from federal prison the leader of his terror group, the “Blind Sheikh” Omar Abdel Rahman. Rahman is serving a life sentence for his leadership role in the 1993 World Trade Center bombing and the planned follow-up “Day of Terror” plot targeting New York landmarks.

  38. Should Obama just pardon ????????

“Lock her up!” has become a perpetual chant at Donald Trump rallies. At the same time, aggressive elements within the FBI are apparently resisting career prosecutors, who have determined that evidence does not warrant new criminal investigations of Hillary Clinton. There are even disturbing hints at congressional pressure for the FBI to keep investigations going.

It does not take much clairvoyance to predict that Clinton’s most strident opponents may seek to extend the use criminal investigations as a political tactic to undermine her presidency if she wins the election next week. That prospect triggers a startling idea: Should President Barack Obama simply pardon Clinton if she wins the election?

The pardon power is typically used to extend mercy to individuals who have been convicted of crimes, but there is also a tradition of using the power as a tool of political reconciliation. President Gerald Ford’s pardon of Richard Nixon for Watergate crimes is probably the highest profile example. But there have been other instances.

As he left office, George Washington pardoned the men who had led the Whiskey Rebellion, an armed revolt against the federal government’s power to tax. President Andrew Johnson also issued thousands of pardons to ex-Confederates after the Civil War. A more modern example is President Jimmy Carter’s grant of amnesty for draft-evasion during the Vietnam War. The rationale has been to move forward and not remain mired in retrospective criminal proceedings.

    http://thehill.com/blogs/congress-blog/the-administration/304077-should-obama-just-pardon-hillary

    • Jimmy Carter pardoned the deserters and draft dodgers to gain support from the radical left that controls the Democrats. He didn’t care about reconciliation and could care less about the slap in the face of all of those who served honorably. The families of those who died sure haven’t forgiven the draft dodgers and war protesters for forcing the US to lose that war.

  39. Clarion Issues Plea to Canadian Gov’t to Save Yazidis
Clarion Project joined with the Council for Muslims Facing Tomorrow and other partners in a press conference hosted by One Free World International.

On November 3, Clarion Project joined with the Council for Muslims Facing Tomorrow and other partners in a press conference hosted by One Free World International (OFWI).

The purpose of the conference was to speak about the ongoing Yazidi genocide in Iraq and call on Canada’s government to do more to protect the Yazidi people — specifically through allowing them priority refugee status.

Clarion project sent our legal analyst, Jennifer Breedon, to speak for the organization at the pres conference. “When a ‘genocide’ is declared, there is an international legal obligation to prevent and protect the targets of the genocide. In taking strategic steps to give priority refugee status to Yazidi victims in Iraq, Canada now has an opportunity to be the only government to fulfil this legal duty — something the UN, EU and United States have failed to do despite their acknowledgement of an ongoing genocide,” said Breedon.

Raheel Raza, president of the Council for Muslims Facing Tomorrow and a member of Clarion’s advisory board, said, “We are pleased that Canada has recognized that there is a genocide against the Yazidi people, but now we must do more as a country to protect women who have been forced into horrendous atrocities by the Islamic State, and we are doing nothing while they continue to be systematically tortured. We must send a message as a free government that provides protection and freedoms for refugees and immigrants.”
