A landmark agreement will see the US and Russia teaming up to tackle the twin threats of ISIS and Al-Qaida, it has been announced.

Both countries announced a ceasefire after a day-long meeting between secretary of state John Kerry and his Russian counterpart, Sergey Lavrov, concluded early Saturday morning in Geneva, Switzerland.

If the ceasefire, which begins Monday, holds for a week, the two countries will then begin an unlikely military partnership to target Islamic extremists in the region.

An administrative court in Egypt has ruled that the country’s Interior Ministry must strip the citizenship of Egyptian nationals who have married Israelis, Ahram Online reported on Thursday.

The ruling, the report said, cited the need to protect Egypt’s national security.

The court case stemmed from a lawsuit filed by Shaimaa Amin, who demanded that her brother, who has resided in the United Kingdom for the past 12 years, be stripped of his citizenship because he married an Israeli woman and had children with her.

Iran is now one of the world’s top military powers, a high-ranking Revolutionary Guards commander claimed on Thursday in comments reported by the Tehran regime-aligned news agency Tasnim.

According to the report, Brigadier General Amir Ali Hajizadeh, the head of the IRGC’s Aerospace Force, asserted that the US has “failed to achieve its goals against Iran through different ploys including warmongering policies, imposing anti-Iran sanctions and destabilizing efforts in the region.”

Hajizadeh went to warn, however, that the US was “seeking new tactics in order to infiltrate into the country and undermine the Islamic Republic.”

A report by the semi-official state news agency Fars said Hajizadeh boasted of Iranian advances in missile technology.

The EU Court of Justice’s ruling in GS Media BV v. Sanoma held that any commercial site that linked to a document that infringed copyright is presumed to be a party to the infringement, meaning that if you have a Google ad on your personal page and you link to something that turns out to be incorrectly licensed, you are potentially on the hook for enormous monetary damages.

    This is a fucking disaster.

    • This ruling will probably not stand as very few nations are going to enforce unless their national interest is being harmed. This is one of the last victories that the internationalists will achieve.

  7. http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2016-09-09/germany-prepares-domestic-troop-deployments-catastrophic-terrorist-event-deemed-conc

It is difficult to reconcile the contradiction. While self immolating in Muslims the German government prepares for war with the results of their own immigration policy. Does Merkel endorse, as the country’s leader, this domestic military stance? Does she endorse it because it lends some weird and useless lip service to “protection” while knowing she will continue with her destructive hijrah policy anyway? Or is the military at odds with her even if it fairly weak and useless?

My take is that she will agree to anything as long as she is able to continue the flow of tards, which will ultimately overwhelm and destroy Germany and all countries. Mission accomplished. Therefore this military “deployment” is a propaganda smokescreen.

    • This depends on who the military would be deployed against? The terrorists or the German citizens to prevent them from defending themselves?

  8. With each test, N. Korea inches closer to being able to send a nuclear-tipped missile to the U.S.

TOKYO — North Korea has taken a key step toward its goal of developing a nuclear-tipped missile capable of reaching the mainland United States, analysts said Friday after Kim Jong Un ordered yet another nuclear test.

The test, which Pyongyang said was a “nuclear warhead explosion,” appeared to be North Korea’s biggest yet.

“It’s a clear indication of progress towards developing a miniaturized nuclear warhead for North Korea’s ballistic missiles,” said Alison Evans, a North Korea analyst at IHS Markit, a consultancy.

“We estimate that North Korea has an inventory of 15 or 20 nuclear weapons and that they could be put on a truck or a short-range missile. But what North Korea is aiming for is to put them on an intercontinental ballistic missile,” she said.

North Korea was officially founded 68 years ago Friday — the day of the nuclear test — with opposition to the United States as its raison d’etre. Its propaganda lauds the protection the Kim family has provided from the “hostile” Americans.

  9. North Korea’s ‘higher-level’ nuclear test explosion sets the region on edge

North Korea said it conducted a “higher-level” nuclear warhead explosion Friday, a fifth atomic test that set the region on edge, drew condemnations from across Asia and exacerbated fears that the country is making progress on its goal of developing the technology to wage a nuclear strike on the U.S.

State-run media in the North Korean capital of Pyongyang said the test moved the country closer to developing a “standardized” nuclear warhead capable of easy delivery on ballistic rockets.

The Korean Central News Agency said in a statement that the test shows North Korea’s “toughest will” to be prepared to retaliate against any “provocation” by “U.S.-led hostile forces who have gone desperate in their moves to find fault with the sovereign state’s exercise of the right to self-defense.”

Suspicious vehicle said to contain two gas canisters; security cordon set up in area, local media says
By Times of Israel staff September 10, 2016, 2:36 pm

The French media reported Saturday that a car containing gas canisters was found outside a synagogue in the southern port city of Marseille.

According to the reports, the suspicious vehicle was spotted at around 11 a.m. Saturday at the Bar Yohaye synagogue and community center, at a time when Jewish worshipers were likely to be attending Shabbat services. Two gas canisters were reportedly found inside the vehicle. A cordon has been erected in the area.

The incident comes two days after Paris officials said they foiled a plot to detonate gas canisters near Notre Dame Cathedral, a plan they said was guided from Syria by the Islamic State group.

The failed attack near Notre Dame Cathedral was spearheaded by a group of women that included a 19-year-old whose written pledge of allegiance to the Islamic State group was found by police, a security official said Friday.

A suspicious vehicle containing two gas canisters has been found near a synagogue in Marseille, France, just a week after a similar incident near Paris’ Notre Dame cathedral led to the arrest of several Islamic State sympathizers, local media report.

The suspicious car was found in southern France on Saturday morning next to the Community Centre of Bar Yohaye (local synagogue), La Provence newspaper reported.

Two gas cylinders were found in the car, the paper said, adding that the area has been put under heavy security.

The police Prefect of Bouches-du-Rhône, Laurent Nunez, confirmed to la Province that no detonators were found in the car, adding that it was too early to draw parallels between Saturday’s incident and the one that took place in Paris last week.

Attempts to stop the spread of the sexually transmitted disease have failed

An outbreak of super-gonorrhoea in the UK is out of control and efforts to stop it have been unsuccessful, health officials have warned.

It is feared the sexually transmitted disease may be becoming increasingly resistant to treatment, prompting concerns further rapid spread could occur.

In April, it emerged an outbreak of so-called ‘super-gonorrhoea’ had occurred in Leeds, with cases also noted in the West Midlands, London and southern-England. It began among heterosexual couples but has since been spread among men who have sex with men (MSM).

  14. South Korea says North’s nuclear capability ‘speeding up’, calls for action

SEOUL (Reuters) – South Korea’s foreign minister said on Saturday that North Korea’s nuclear capability is expanding fast, echoing alarm around the world over the isolated state’s fifth nuclear test carried out in defiance of U.N. sanctions.

North Korea conducted its biggest nuclear test on Friday and said it had mastered the ability to mount a warhead on a ballistic missile, ratcheting up a threat that rivals and the United Nations have been powerless to contain.

The test proved North Korean leader Kim Jong Un was unwilling to alter course and tougher sanctions and pressure were needed to apply “unbearable pain on the North to leave no choice but to change,” South Korean Foreign Minister Yun Byung-se said.

“North Korea’s nuclear capability is growing and speeding to a considerable level, considering the fifth nuclear test was the strongest in scale and the interval has quickened substantially,” Yun told a ministry meeting convened to discuss the test.

The blast, on the 68th anniversary of North Korea’s founding, drew global condemnation.

  15. Has U.S. laundered as much as $33 billion in cash deliveries to Iran since January 2014?

Americans were startled to discover, at the beginning of August, that the release of frozen funds to Iran in January 2016, at the same time as a prisoner exchange, had been accomplished by money-laundering cash.

At the time, the public was told that $400 million of the $1.7 billion frozen-funds settlement had been paid out with pallets of cash, converted into foreign currencies and literally flown into Iran on an unmarked Iranian plane from Switzerland.

That was unsavory enough: running a “prisoner exchange” with Iran like a cartel drug deal.

Obama, naturally, mocked his critics for being upset about it:

Obama explained that pallets of cash were used in the exchange because the United States doesn’t have a banking relationship with Iran.

“[W]e couldn’t send them a check, and we could not wire the money,” he said during a press conference at the Pentagon today.

He insisted that the administration was transparent about the payments to Iran, even though the knowledge about the manner of the payment was not previously disclosed. But Obama mocked the notion that the new details made any difference.

“It is not at all clear to me why it is that cash, as opposed to a check or a wire transfer has made this into a new story,” he said. “Maybe because it kind of feels like some kind of spy novel or you know, some you know, crime novel because cash was exchanged.”

Earlier this week, the public learned that the entire $1.7 billion had been transferred to Iran by the same method, on 17 and 22 January and 5 February. Instead of one cartel drug-deal drop, there were three.

A Treasury Department official offered this delightfully spun perspective:

    • This is a very good article to tell you what we know that we don’t know about the money laundering scheme the explanations given by Obama and company don’t make sense. I wonder if we will ever know the real reason?

  16. Germany mulls deporting half its Afghan refugees, Karzai says it’s a good idea – Bild (RT, Sep 10, 2016)
    https://www.rt.com/news/358905-germany-afghan-refugees-karzai/

“Germany is reportedly seeking to deport around 40,000 of the 79,449 Afghan refugees that have applied for asylum as part of a deal with Kabul. Former Afghan President Karzai said deportations would be “a good solution” for his country’s reconstruction.

Berlin wants to deport roughly 40,000 Afghan asylum seekers, including refugees willing to return to their homeland voluntarily, as well as migrants whose asylum applications have been rejected three times in a row, according to Bild magazine.

The plan is part of a bilateral agreement between the German and Afghan governments, the magazine’s report said, adding that most migrants will be taken to Afghanistan on charter flights.

If implemented, practically half of all Afghan migrants that have recently arrived in Germany could be deported on various grounds. Germany’s Federal Office for Migration and Refugees (BAMF) has registered 79,449 Afghan nationals that have applied for asylum, according to the agency’s July report.

There was no mention in the report of any time frame for expelling such a sizeable number of migrants, however. The Bild report adds that the German government would surely take measures to exempt women and minors whose lives may be at risk if they returned to Afghanistan.

According to the latest BAMF figures, German authorities granted asylum to 57,058 refugees in August alone, compared to just 16,769 in the same month last year…”

    • reuters – Germany warns of threat from more than 500 ‘potential attackers’

Germany’s interior minister has warned that the country is home to more than 500 Islamic militants who could be capable of carrying out assaults on their own or as members of “hit teams.”

Speaking in an interview with Bild newspaper, Thomas de Maiziere said there were currently at least 520 “potential attackers” in the country, which has been on edge since two Islamic State-inspired attacks in July.

He said another 360 “relevant” people were known to police because of their close proximity to the potential attackers.

Many Germans fear that fighters belonging to the Islamic State jihadist group could have slipped into Germany with the roughly one million of refugees from Syria, North Africa and Asia who arrived last year.

“The terror threat now stems from foreign hit teams as well as fanatical lone wolves in Germany,” de Maiziere said in the interview ahead of the 15th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks in the United States, which were partly coordinated from Germany.

“The hit teams are secretly smuggled into Europe and prepare their actions without being noticed, as we saw with the attacks in Paris and Brussels,” he added. “But it’s even more difficult to uncover the fanatical lone wolves. Unfortunately, there is a real and present danger from both threats.”

He said security authorities were doing everything possible to monitor “the potential terrorists” and noted that there have been more investigations and arrests this year. Despite their efforts, he said, “the authorities are assuming there are undiscovered lone wolf terrorists out there.”

Germany had until July been spared the kind of militant attacks suffered by neighboring France and Belgium. But in late July, Islamic State claimed two attacks — on a train near Wuerzburg and at a music festival in Ansbach — in which asylum-seekers wounded 20 people in total.

The anti-immigrant party Alternative for Germany (AfD) has seized on the attacks to criticize Chancellor Angela Merkel’s migrant policies.

  17. BREITBART – Austrian Establishment Could Delay Presidential Re-Run As Populist Takes Lead

Due to an issue with the glue that holds together the envelopes of the postal ballots the Austrian government is considering postponing the Austrian presidential election re-run.

Multiple people across the country have complained that upon receiving their postal ballots they noticed that the glue that holds the return envelope was defective leading to their ballot paper merely falling out.

The Austrian Interior Minister, Wolfgang Sobotka, said that he will consider whether or not this is sufficient grounds to delay the election until at least November reports Kurier.

The calls for the postponement of the election come the most strongly from the conservative Austrian People’s Party (ÖVP) and the Green party, who’s former leader Alexander Van der Bellen is one of the two candidates along with anti-mass migration Freedom Party (FPÖ) politician Norbert Hofer.

Alexander Van der Bellen has already suspended his campaign upon hearing that the Interior Minister could potentially delay the election. Though Mr. Sobotka has said he is only considering the move, many are preparing for the delay. Sobotka has already arranged a press conference for Monday afternoon where he will announce his decision, but many are unsure if he has the proper authority to do so.

Constitutional lawyer Heinz Mayer claims that any attempt to delay the vote could result in a similar constitutional court case that led to the annulment of the first vote. Mayer said that in order to move the date of the vote the government would have to pass new legislation as currently the Austrian election laws do not allow the Interior Minister to move the vote on his own.

The amendment to the electoral laws could be passed in the matter of a week if the parliament can agree to a two-thirds majority. Some believe that such an amendment may be proposed on Tuesday if Sobotka decides to postpone the election.

The campaign of FPÖ candidate Norbert Hofer has reacted to the news saying that the government should come up with solutions rather than delay the election. One solution proposed was that the election officials could travel to places like retirement homes or hospitals to conduct the votes in person if the voters are unable to go to the polling booths themselves.

If the election goes ahead on October 2nd, constitutional lawyer Karl Weber, Director of the Institute of Public Law of the University of Vienna, said that individuals with faulty ballots cannot challenge the result themselves, but as was the case in the previous election, the candidates’ respective campaigns can.

Currently Norbert Hofer leads Alexander Van Der Bellen by several percentage points in the polls, a delay could change those numbers depending on what transpires between now and the projected date of mid-November.

Experts also point out the fact that Van der Bellen received far more postal votes than Hofer in May and the postal votes won Van der Bellen the vote, giving his campaign incentive to delay the vote until there are no longer issues with the postal ballots.

  18. Migrant-smuggling criminal gangs pose biggest threat to UK national security (express, Sep 10, 2016)
    http://www.express.co.uk/news/uk/709258/Migrant-smuggling-criminal-gangs-threat-UK-national-security-NCA

“RUTHLESS gangs of migrant-smugglers pose one of the biggest threats to Britain’s national security, according to senior police chiefs.

National Crime Agency investigators say soaring numbers of migrants desperate to evade border controls are turning to highly-organised criminal gangs to spirit them into the country.

And they fear the people-smugglers will seek to exploit smaller ports and airfields as security at the main UK entry points is beefed up.

The warnings are issued in the latest NCA National Strategic Assessment report which lists the main threats to UK security.

The report says: “As security around borders increases, the growth in organised people-smuggling and trafficking targeting the UK will grow through clandestine activity and use of false documents.”

Experts say there is now unprecedented irregular migration thanks to conflict in Syria and Iraq and

improvements to security at Dover and Calais, where UK taxpayers are funding a £2 million wall, will mean gangs change their smuggling routes.

The criminals already have access to yachts, small boats and light aircraft to smuggle people, drugs and weapons.

And the NCA said the vast number of migrants is attracting ruthless individuals who want to prey on the desperate.

In the majority of cases, crime gangs serve people from their home country or who share their language.

Once here, criminal networks are involved in the systematic abuse of the UK visa system, using false documents to secure legitimate means to remain…”

  20. Oil supply deal between Saudi Arabia and Russia an unlikely alliance

The fact that the Saudis and Russians are exploring ways to stabilise the oil market gives some idea about the carnage being wrought on the big producers’ economies by the collapse in prices.

They are the biggest producers by a wide margin and anything but natural allies; indeed their enmity is deeply rooted – but their announcement off to the side of the this weeks’ G20 that they were considering engineering a production freeze in their sphere of influence has suddenly become the big driver of short term market dynamics.

Given the chronic oversupply in the market, the 6 per cent spike in oil prices that immediately followed the announcement certainly appeared to be an over-reaction to what was essentially the establishment of a working party to look at freezing production at current levels.

There is a strong argument that a production freeze is not a particularly big deal given everyone is pretty well pumping oil at full capacity, except maybe the Saudis and even then they can’t open the taps much more.

But that is perhaps not the point.
Oil producers are in deep trouble at current prices

The bottom line is that oil producers cannot afford to see the price fall anymore.

[…]No deal, just more volatile prices: Morgan Stanley

The commodity team at big Wall Street broker Morgan Stanley expect that about the only thing that will come out of the talk about a stabilisation pact is more price volatility.

“The market treats OPEC as the central banker of oil where simple jawboning can move markets and scare off shorts,” the Morgan Stanley team wrote in a note to clients.

With the International Energy Forum – where a deal on a production freeze could be thrashed out due to start in Algiers later this month – the volatility is only likely to increase in the short term.

“As the meeting approaches, it would not be surprising if market chatter and volatility increased,” Morgan Stanley said.

However, Morgan Stanley found there were too many headwinds and logistical challenges to strike a meaningful deal.

    http://www.abc.net.au/news/2016-09-09/saudi-arabia-russia-oil-deal/7831902

    • Despite the conventional wisdom these days high volatility in the oil prices works in the favor of the western nations, this means they don’t have to pay as much for energy and thus transportation costs are lower. This in turn makes their products cheaper which means more will be sold. This simple economic fact seems to be beyond the grasp of the pundits and Keynesian economists. This explains why they always manage to screw up the worlds economy.

  21. Extremism fear over new faith schools: PM faces revolt amid claims religious selection could lead to ‘ghettoisation’ and radicalisation among pupils (dailymail, Sep 10, 2016)

“Theresa May faced a revolt yesterday over her faith school plans amid claims they could unwittingly lead to classrooms becoming incubators for extremism.

Under the proposals, faith schools will be allowed to select more pupils based on religion. Current rules limit oversubscribed new free faith schools to only selecting half of their intake by reference to faith.

Yesterday, Mrs May swept away this limit to the delight of the Catholic church, which has over 2,000 schools in England, educating almost 820,000 pupils.

The rule has been blamed for preventing new Catholic schools from opening. But she faced condemnation from critics, who warned of ‘ghettoisation’ and risks of potential radicalisation among pupils.

Within her own party, Tory MP Dr Sarah Wollaston branded the plans a ‘regressive step’ that she will vote against.

Mrs May insisted the current cap was failing in its objective to ‘promote integration’ and particularly impacting on the Catholic church.

She said the rule was having little impact on many Jewish, Muslim, Sikh and Hindu schools ‘because they tend not to appeal to parents of other faiths’.

This means they are not oversubscribed so the rules do not apply. But it does prevent the opening of new Catholic schools, which are popular and which are often oversubscribed.

Mrs May said that – in place of the 50 per cent rule – the government will consult on a set of ‘much more effective requirements’ to ensure faith schools are ‘properly inclusive’…”

    http://edition.cnn.com/2016/09/10/us/brooklyn-muslim-women-attacked/index.html

“A woman yelling anti-Muslim sentiment allegedly attacked two Muslim women as they pushed their children in strollers in New York, authorities said.

Emirjeta Xhelili, 32, allegedly tried to rip the hijab from the women’s heads during the attack in Brooklyn on Thursday.

She struck the women in the face and body, and repeatedly shouted, “this is the United States of America, you’re not supposed to be different from us,” court documents allege.

Xhelili allegedly told the women, “get the (expletive) out of America (expletive), you don’t belong here.”
She also attacked their children, pushing one stroller to the ground and rattling the other while two infants sat inside, according to court documents. The 11-month-old and the 15-month-old, along with their mothers, were not seriously injured.

    Suspect arrested

Shortly after the incident, New York Police Department officers arrested Xhelili in Brooklyn.

During an arraignment Friday, the Brooklyn District Attorney’s office described the incident as a hate crime, charging her with offenses including assault, reckless endangerment of a child and harassment, according to court documents.

  23. Germany: Beginning of the End of the Merkel Era?

German Chancellor Angela Merkel suffered a major blow on September 4 when the anti-immigration party Alternative for Germany (AfD) surged ahead of her Christian Democratic Union (CDU) in elections in her home state of Mecklenburg-West Pomerania.

With 20.8% of the vote, the AfD came in second place behind the center-left Social Democrats (SPD) (30.6%). Merkel’s CDU came in third place, with 19% of the vote, the worst result it has ever had in Meck-Pomm, as the state is called for short.

The election in Meck-Pomm was widely seen as a referendum on Merkel’s open-door migration policy and her decision to allow more than one million migrants from Africa, Asia and the Middle East to enter Germany in 2015. The migrant influx has resulted in a notable increase in crime in the country. The growing sense of insecurity has been exacerbated by a series of attacks this summer by Muslim migrants in which ten people were killed and dozens more were injured.

The CDU debacle in Meck-Pomm yields two main conclusions: 1) Merkel’s hopes of winning — or even running — for a fourth term in general elections in 2017 are now in doubt; and 2) the AfD is a force to be reckoned with in German politics. It can longer be simply dismissed as a “fringe party.”

Observers from across the political spectrum seem to agree that the election in Meck-Pomm marks a turning point for Merkel, who has been head of the CDU since 2000 and chancellor since November 2005. Some say her political career may effectively be over if the CDU suffers heavy losses to the AfD in state elections in Berlin on September 18.

“This was a dark day for Merkel,” said Thomas Jaeger, a political scientist at the University of Cologne. “Everyone knows she lost this election. Her district in parliament is there, she campaigned there, and refugees are her issue.”

  26. BREITBART – Exposed: FBI Director James Comey’s Clinton Foundation Connection

WASHINGTON, D.C. — A review of FBI Director James Comey’s professional history and relationships shows that the Obama cabinet leader — now under fire for his handling of the investigation of Hillary Clinton — is deeply entrenched in the big-money cronyism culture of Washington, D.C. His personal and professional relationships — all undisclosed as he announced the Bureau would not prosecute Clinton — reinforce bipartisan concerns that he may have politicized the criminal probe.

These concerns focus on millions of dollars that Comey accepted from a Clinton Foundation defense contractor, Comey’s former membership on a Clinton Foundation corporate partner’s board, and his surprising financial relationship with his brother Peter Comey, who works at the law firm that does the Clinton Foundation’s taxes.

    Lockheed Martin

When President Obama nominated Comey to become FBI director in 2013, Comey promised the United States Senate that he would recuse himself on all cases involving former employers.

But Comey earned $6 million in one year alone from Lockheed Martin. Lockheed Martin became a Clinton Foundation donor that very year.

Comey served as deputy attorney general under John Ashcroft for two years of the Bush administration. When he left the Bush administration, he went directly to Lockheed Martin and became vice president, acting as a general counsel.

How much money did James Comey make from Lockheed Martin in his last year with the company, which he left in 2010? More than $6 million in compensation.

Lockheed Martin is a Clinton Foundation donor. The company admitted to becoming a Clinton Global Initiative member in 2010.

According to records, Lockheed Martin is also a member of the American Chamber of Commerce in Egypt, which paid Bill Clinton $250,000 to deliver a speech in 2010.

In 2010, Lockheed Martin won 17 approvals for private contracts from the Hillary Clinton State Department.

    HSBC Holdings

In 2013, Comey became a board member, a director, and a Financial System Vulnerabilities Committee member of the London bank HSBC Holdings.

“Mr. Comey’s appointment will be for an initial three-year term which, subject to re-election by shareholders, will expire at the conclusion of the 2016 Annual General Meeting,” according to HSBC company records.

HSBC Holdings and its various philanthropic branches routinely partner with the Clinton Foundation. For instance, HSBC Holdings has partnered with Deutsche Bank through the Clinton Foundation to “retrofit 1,500 to 2,500 housing units, primarily in the low- to moderate-income sector” in “New York City.”

“Retrofitting” refers to a Green initiative to conserve energy in commercial housing units. Clinton Foundation records show that the Foundation projected “$1 billion in financing” for this Green initiative to conserve people’s energy in low-income housing units.

    Who Is Peter Comey?

When our source called the Chinatown offices of D.C. law firm DLA Piper and asked for “Peter Comey,” a receptionist immediately put him through to Comey’s direct line. But Peter Comey is not featured on the DLA Piper website.

Peter Comey serves as “Senior Director of Real Estate Operations for the Americas” for DLA Piper. James Comey was not questioned about his relationship with Peter Comey in his confirmation hearing.

DLA Piper is the firm that performed the independent audit of the Clinton Foundation in November during Clinton-World’s first big push to put the email scandal behind them. DLA Piper’s employees taken as a whole represent a major Hillary Clinton 2016 campaign donation bloc and Clinton Foundation donation base.

DLA Piper ranks #5 on Hillary Clinton’s all-time career Top Contributors list, just ahead of Goldman Sachs.

And here is another thing: Peter Comey has a mortgage on his house that is owned by his brother James Comey, the FBI director.

Peter Comey’s financial records, obtained by Breitbart News, show that he bought a $950,000 house in Vienna, Virginia, in June 2008. He needed a $712,500 mortgage from First Savings Mortgage Corporation.

But on January 31, 2011, James Comey and his wife stepped in to become Private Party lenders. They granted a mortgage on the house for $711,000. Financial records suggest that Peter Comey took out two such mortgages from his brother that day.

This financial relationship between the Comey brothers began prior to James Comey’s nomination to become director of the FBI.

DLA Piper did not answer Breitbart News’ question as to whether James Comey and Peter Comey spoke at any point about this mortgage or anything else during the Clinton email investigation.

Peter Comey Re-Designed the FBI Building

FBI Director James Comey grew up in the New Jersey suburbs with his brother Peter. Both Comeys were briefly taken captive in 1977 by the “Ramsey rapist,” but the boys managed to escape through a window in their home, and neither boy was harmed.

James Comey became a prosecutor who worked on the Gambino crime family case. He went on to the Bush administration, a handful of private sector jobs, and then the Obama administration in 2013.

Peter Comey, meanwhile, went into construction.

After getting an MBA in real estate and urban development from George Washington University in 1998, Peter Comey became an executive at a company that re-designed George Washington University between 2004 and 2007 while his brother was in town working for the Bush administration.

In January 2009, at the beginning of the Obama administration, Peter Comey became “a real estate and construction consultant” for Procon Consulting.

Procon Consulting’s client list includes “FBI Headquarters Washington, DC.”

So what did Procon Consulting do for FBI Headquarters? Quite a bit, apparently. According to the firm’s records:

Procon provided strategic project management for the consolidation of over 11,000 FBI personnel into one, high security, facility.

Since 1972 the Federal Bureau of Investigation has had its headquarters in a purpose built 2.1 million square foot building on Pennsylvania Avenue. Having become functionally obsolete and in need of major repairs, GSA and the FBI were considering ways to meet the space needs required to maintain the Bureau’s mission and consolidate over 11,000 personnel.

Procon assisted GSA in assessing the FBI’s space needs and options for fulfilling those needs. Services provided included project management related to site evaluations, budgeting, due diligence, and the development of procurement and funding strategies.

Those “funding strategies” included talking to “stakeholders”: “Worked with stakeholders and key leadership to identify strategic objectives, goals and long range plans for capital and real estate projects.”

Procon Consulting obtained its contract for FBI Headquarters prior to James Comey’s nomination to serve as director of the FBI.

In June 2011, Peter Comey left Procon Consulting to become “Senior Director of Real Estate Operations for the Americas” for DLA Piper.

Peter Comey has generated some controversy in that role. According to Law360 in May 2013 (the same month that James Comey was confirmed as someone being considered by Obama to become FBI director):

Two real estate services businesses filed a $10 million suit against the law firm Monday alleging it stiffed them on as much as $760,000 of work done at DLA Piper’s Chicago office and improperly gave proprietary information to a competitor.

The plaintiffs take particular aim at Peter Comey, DLA Piper’s senior director of real estate operations. Leasecorp and SpaceLogik include several emails in the complaint that are purportedly from DLA Piper senior real estate partners Jay Epstein and Rich Klawiter and are sharply critical of Comey’s handling of the matter. In one email, Epstein wrote that “it’s an embarrassment for the firm to be treating someone who we are working with like this.”

In another email allegedly from Klawiter on Feb. 20, the DLA Piper partner informed Leasecorp President Michael Walker, a principal for both plaintiffs, that Comey had sent him and Epstein an email claiming that the real estate services firms were behind on their contractual obligations.

“I just received an email from Peter (Jay was also a recipient) that is so inflammatory I can’t even send it or you’ll hit the roof,” Klawiter said in the email, according to the complaint. “This is not going to end well.”

  27. Germany: AfD rally in Hannover heckled by counter-protesters

Alternative fuer Deutschland (AfD) chairperson Frauke Petry was massively heckled by counter-protesters in Hanover, Saturday, as she addressed AfD supporters during the last campaign rally ahead of the elections in Lower Saxony.

SOT, Frauke Petry, AfD chairperson (German): “The discussion on whether or not we need immigration and what kind of immigration, we do not want to leave to the chancellor who thinks she can make that decision without the parliament or the people. We need to do that, ladies and gentlemen, because eventually the poorest of the poor in Germany will be harmed and all those we allegedly want to protect. Where is the federal government when young woman – mostly Christians – are harassed and raped by predominately Muslim young men? Where is Mrs Merkel who cares for these young women?”

SOT, Frauke Petry, AfD chairperson (German): “Let’s ask the Green Party how they want to protect women’s rights in the coming years and decades if the number of Muslim men with spoiled values increases. They shall give us answers, but they can’t ladies and gentlemen.”

  28. Finland: Hundreds rally against Islam and EU refugee policy

Around 500 local citizens took to the streets of Helsinki to protest against the European refugee policy as well as Islam’s presence in Finland, on Saturday.

The demonstrators were seen holding Finnish flags and banners reading “Sexual criminals out of the country!” and “Close the borders!”

While addressing the crowd, Somali-born Swedish activist, Mona Walter, stated that “Muslims say and our politician say that Islam is a religion of peace. That is a lie, is a lie, is a lie that we have been fed.”

EIRUT (AP) — A day of intense airstrikes Saturday on and around the northern city of Aleppo killed at least 45 people, according to opposition activists.

The Aleppo Media Center, an activist collective, said 45 people were killed Saturday, just hours after the new U.S.-Russian agreement was reached to try and end the violence in Syria. The Britain-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said 30 people were killed in Aleppo province and another 39 were killed by airstrikes in neighboring Idlib province.

Contrasting casualty figures are common in the aftermath of large attacks in Syria.

Documents recently leaked from Saudi Arabia’s Health Ministry disclosed that over 90,000 pilgrims have lost their lives during the Hajj rituals in Mecca over the past 14 years.

The Beirut-based Arabic-language al-Akhbar newspaper said that it has 3,121 documents disclosing the precise number of the Hajj pilgrims killed while performing their Hajj rituals since 2002.

The documents contain detailed information, including the names, nationalities, age and date of death of the Hajj pilgrims, Fars reported.

According to the documents, 90,267 pilgrims have lost their lives during the past 14 years, as reported by IRNA.

  31. This is for all those people who worry that plastic is destroying the Earth.

Remember when trees first appeared on Earth, and there were no organisms at all that could decompose wood? And it just kept piling up and up and up? Today’s tree huggers would have tried to make Earth tree-free.

But, it took only a few millennia before organisms capable of eating (and decomposing) wood evolved and cleared up that backlog (excuse the pun, please)…

Recall that when there was an oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico, scientists found a type of bacteria had adapted to eat it within months.

We also have microorganisms who eat plastic – something that had not existed 100 years ago.

So, let’s stop being so anthropocentric: the Earth can deal with a lot bigger problems that what puny humans can inflict on it.

Look at the beauty of nature – only now enhanced as more organisms adapt not only to live along our waste products, but actually thrive on them! This is the beauty of life!!!

Don’t let any watermelons tell you otherwise!!! Ecostatics are actively preventing evolution, those hateful bigots!!!

AMMAN, Sept 10 (Reuters) – Israeli warplanes hit a Syrian army outpost near the Israeli occupied Golan Heights on Saturday, state television reported, quoting a Syrian military source as saying the strike was aimed at helping an offensive by hardline Islamist rebels.

The source was quoted as saying that the Israeli air force was helping the former Nusra front and other radical groups in an offensive launched against Syrian troops in the southern province of Quneitra which borders the Golan region.

  33. Well, this is a bit of a change…

Remember when we had a lot of Islamic terrorists, and we would lock them up in a prison in GITMO?

Well, now we no longer have Islamic terrorists, but ‘people with psychiatric problems’.

Isn’t it awesome that GITMO is going to re-open as a high security psychiatric facility?

Wow, this brings be back to my childhood on the wrong side of the Iron Curtain: anyone who did not agree with socialist totalitarians must be mentally ill and locked up and heavily drugged – for their own good, of course!!!

The US military has closed a maximum-security detention center at Guantanamo Bay, an official said Thursday, as the controversial prison’s population continues to dwindle.

Guantanamo’s Camp 5 lockup, built in 2004 at a cost of $17 million, closed August 19 and will be converted into a medical center with a psychiatric wing for detainees, facility spokesman Navy Captain John Filostrat told AFP.

Only a “handful” of detainees had remained at Camp 5 after 15 inmates were transferred to the United Arab Emirates last month, the biggest single release under President Barack Obama.

  34. Remember when in the 19th century, the French decided to dominate the world, flooded Europe with their army and tried to beat up Russia?

And do you remember in the 20th century, the Germans decided to dominate the world, flooded Europe with their army and tried to beat up Russia?

Yeah, neither one managed it on their own. But now, they are older and wiser nations…

What do you think will happen in the 21st century, when the French and the Germans unite their armies, cement their control over Europe and then go and try to beat up on Russia?

The one thing common to all these three situations is that all the ‘little’ countries in Europe get trampled when these two start trying to cure their inferiority to Russia complex!!!!

  35. France’s Sarkozy outlines measures to get tough on militants- report

    [...why call them "militants ",,,,,, they are M U S L I M S ...]

France needs to get tough on militants by creating special courts and detention facilities to boost security, the country’s former President Nicolas Sarkozy said in a interview published in Sunday newspaper Le Journal du Dimanche (JDD).

The French capital was once again put on high alert last Sunday after a car loaded with gas cylinders was found near Notre Dame cathedral in an incident that could have been an attack on a Paris railway station.

Security is a key topic in the presidential elections in 2017, as more than 230 people have been killed in militant Islamist attacks on French soil since January 2015.

Sarkozy’s comments come after French President Francois Hollande, a Socialist, took a swipe at his opponents this week, saying their hardline reactions to a wave of militant attacks demonstrated an intent to destroy France’s social model.

Sarkozy took an even tougher approach on Sunday by proposing to systematically place French citizens, suspected of having militant links, in special detention facilities.

“Every Frenchman suspected of being linked to terrorism, because he regularly consults a jihadist website, or his behavior shows signs of radicalization or because is in close contact with radicalized people, must by preventively placed in a detention center,” Sarkozy said in the interview.

Sarkozy, who announced last month his candidacy for the April 2017 presidential election, has said there is no place for “legal niceties” in the fight against terrorism.

According to French Institute for Public Opinion, Ifop, voters turned out to have most confidence in former Prime Minister Alain Juppe to guarantee security, with Sarkozy in second place, Prime Minister Manuel Valls in third, and Hollande a distant 8th.

French Justice Minister Jean-Jacques Urvoas said in a separate interview with the French newspaper on Sunday he planned to make proposals next week to Valls to ease prison overcrowding.

“I do not advocate creation of facilities dedicated to terrorists…The real challenge is to prepare the release of those who are sentenced for a short or medium term,” Urvoas said.

    • M U S L I M Woman charged over failed jihadist Paris attack

Paris (AFP) – French anti-terror judges charged a woman Saturday over a failed jihadist attack near Paris’s Notre Dame cathedral, where a car full of gas canisters was found last weekend.

The mother of three, named as 29-year-old Ornella G., is one of several women detained in the past week on suspicion of planning new attacks in France, a country on high alert after a string of jihadist assaults in the past 18 months.

According to investigators, her fingerprints were found in the Peugeot car that was abandoned last Sunday a few hundred metres from Notre Dame in an area thronging with tourists.

The car contained five gas cylinders, three bottles of diesel and a lit cigarette.

Ornella G. was remanded in custody after being charged with association with a terrorist group and attempted murder by an organised group, prosecutors said.

Known to authorities for previously planning to go to Syria, she was arrested in southern France on Tuesday with her boyfriend, who has since been released.

Three other women, named as 19-year-old Ines Madani, 23-year-old Sarah H. and Amel S., 39, were detained on Thursday before they could carry out an attack, investigators said.

The trio were looking at train stations in Paris and south of the capital as potential targets, as well as the police, according to sources close to the investigation.

Madani, the daughter of the car’s owner, had allegedly pledged allegiance to the Islamic State group. She was also known to authorities for seeking to travel to Syria.

Ornella G. told police that she and Madani tried to set the car alight but “fled when they saw a man they believed to be a plain-clothes policeman.”

      – Jihadist fiancee –

Investigators are seeking to determine whether Sarah H. was with the pair at the time.

She was the fiancee of Larossi Abballa, a jihadist who knifed to death a senior policeman and his partner at their home in a Paris suburb in June before himself being shot dead.

Sarah H. had since become engaged to Adel Kermiche, one of two jihadists who killed an elderly priest in July near the northern city of Rouen and was subsequently killed by police.

Anti-terrorism prosecutor Francois Molins said Friday that the women were inspired by IS, which has called on its followers to attack France in revenge for air strikes on the group’s bases in Syria and Iraq.

“A terrorist cell made up of young women totally receptive to the deadly ideology of Daesh has been dismantled,” Molins said at a news conference, using another name for IS.

The extremist group claimed responsibility for the Paris attacks in November that killed 130 people, among a series of recent assaults attributed to its followers including the Nice truck attack.

Security is a hot issue in early campaigning for next year’s presidential elections.

Interior Minister Bernard Cazeneuve said that police had arrested 293 people this year for “links to terrorist networks.”

“This amounts to networks that have been dismantled and attacks that have been prevented,” Cazeneuve said, giving no further details about the arrests.

“We are involved in an extremely intense, round-the-clock mission to protect the French public, and we are getting results,” Cazeneuve said.

He added that 17 foreigners had been expelled this year for posing a “serious threat to public order.”

The latest was a Russian national, Mansur Kudusov, who was extradited to Russia on Friday after being jailed for breaching house arrest.

Kudusov’s lawyer said he was a Chechen born in 1991 who had arrived in France as a child and had been placed under house arrest in 2012.

Inès Madani, Sarah Hervouët, Ornella Gilligman, Amel Sakaou

      ========================================================

  36. AUSTRALIA – NSW stabbing attack ‘inspired by ISIS’

A man has been charged with committing a terrorist attack and attempted murder after a man was stabbed in Sydney’s west.

Police say a 59-year-old man was stabbed a number of times while walking through a reserve in Minto, around 4pm on Saturday afternoon.

‘We will be alleging before the court that this was an act that was inspired by ISIS, it was a deliberate act yesterday and it resulted in a person receiving extremely serious injuries,’ NSW Police Deputy Commissioner Catherine Burn told reporters on Sunday.

The man suffered serious injuries to his body and hands and was treated by paramedics and flown by helicopter to Liverpool Hospital in a critical condition.

When a police officer arrived at the scene, a 22-year-old man allegedly tried to stab the officer before being arrested.

Ms Burn said initial investigations show there was ‘clearly some planning’ involved prior to the attack.

‘We will allege that he set out to do something yesterday. How long he had been planning this – we don’t know,’ she said.

Police say the 22-year-old and the injured man were not known to each other and there is no ongoing threat.

‘From what we know there is no continuing threat associated with this particular matter… we don’t believe that he was connected with any terrorist group.’

He has been refused bail to appear at Parramatta Bail Court on Sunday.

    • Man charged with terror act, attempted murder after Minto stabbing

State and federal counter terrorism police have charged a man with committing a premeditated terrorist attack after he allegedly attempted to murder another man with a large knife in Sydney’s south west.

The alleged terrorist, 22-year-old Ihsas Khan, was not on any terror watchlist and was not involved in any known terror group in Australia, but police allege he was “inspired by ISIS.”

“We know this person has strong extremist beliefs inspired by ISIS. What made him act yesterday we don’t know,” NSW Police deputy commissioner Cath Burn said this morning.

“It was deliberate, it was violent. Given his behaviour, it could have turned worse as well.”

Police were called to Ohlfsen Road at Minto around 4pm yesterday after a man was found suffering multiple stab wounds.

The 59-year-old had been walking through a reserve when he was attacked. He suffered wounds to his body and hands was treated at the scene by paramedics, before being taken to Liverpool Hospital where he underwent surgery last night. He was upgraded from critical to a serious condition earlier today.

Police quickly identified Mr Khan nearby, Ms Burn said.

“There was clearly some degree of planning and preparation into something just before the incident happened,” she said. “When police arrived, he confronted them, we will allege that he was going to attack them. That didn’t happen, fortunately.”

It’s alleged he tried to stab an officer through a window. He was arrested not long after.

Mr Khan was questioned by NSW Police and Australian Federal Police joint counter terrorism officers at the Macquarie Fields Police Station, before being charged with Commit Terrorist Act and Attempted Murder.

He was refused bail to appear at Parramatta Bail Court today.

A large knife has been seized for forensic examination, and a crime scene has been established. It’s not believed the victim and the alleged perpetrator were known to each other.

Ms Burn, the NSW Police Force’s counter terrorism chief, said the random attack highlights the difficulties for authorities.

The alleged terror attack comes days after an online ISIS magazine, Rumiyah, called for lone wolf jihadists to “kill them (Australians) on the streets”.

“This highlights the challenged we face, this is the new face of terrorism,” she said.

“Unfortunately, there are going to be people who may have concerning behaviours, but you can’t watch everybody all the time.

“An individual who, known to police on some matters, becomes inspired. They get some basic capability (and) unfortunately a violent act followed.”

She said there is no ongoing danger to the community.

“From what we know now, there is no continuing threat associated with this particular person,” Ms Burn said.
