Does this fact surprise anyone? Most murders occur inside and a rifle or shotgun is difficult to maneuver in close quarters.
Brazil has some of the toughest gun legislation in the world, making it nearly impossible for anyone to LEGALLY own a firearm. However, the per-capita number or gun-related deaths in that country is nearly double that of the USA.
The lesson here? Gun control works, as long as it’s law-abiding citizens attempting to legally own a gun who are prevented by law from doing so. As for any crooks wanting to get their hoofs on a firearm, they’ll do it no matter what, since they obviously don’t care what the law says (if they did, they wouldn’t be crooks, would they?)
