NEW YORK (Reuters) – Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said on Monday Israel has no roots in the Middle East and would be “eliminated,” ignoring a U.N. warning to avoid incendiary rhetoric ahead of the annual General Assembly session.
Ahmadinejad also said he did not take seriously the threat that Israel could launch a military strike on Iran’s nuclear facilities, denied sending arms to Syria, and alluded to Iran’s threats to the life of British author Salman Rushdie.
The United States quickly dismissed the Iranian president’s comments as “disgusting, offensive and outrageous.”
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has hinted Israel could strike Iran’s nuclear sites and criticized U.S. President Barack Obama’s position that sanctions and diplomacy should be given more time to stop Tehran from acquiring nuclear weapons.
Iran denies it is seeking nuclear arms and says its atomic work is peaceful and aimed at generating electricity.

I live in hope, and so do thousands of Iranians who are sick of his regime, and millions of Israelis just dreaming of the day when Donkey-jacket meets his doom. I do know however, that he’ll never see the day that Israel is destroyed. Dream on, Mr. Ahmedinejad, you’re batting for the wrong side. You’re on the losing team. Israel’s going nowhere!
If those Iranians want to get rid of Ahmedinejad, they better do it themselves instead of troubling the West, blaming the West and running to the West whenever things don’t go their way.

Eeyore: It’s to be expected.
Hardcore Muslims lie to infidels with no shame and no feelings of guilt because they think that it is ok in God’s eyes. Ahmedinejad is right in the deep centre of that core. He will never change, nor will others like him, and it’s all the more reason that no Muslim can ever be trusted. One day non-Muslims will realise that and Muslims will become more and more isolated, friends with no one but themselves and all others against them.
Ahmedinejad is one of the chief standard bearers of Muslim dishonesty, an evil little man who no respectable government should ever be doing business with. One day he will be served his just desserts either at the hands of man or at the hands of God.
If this is not a hate crime then? Some people have been arrested for less than that.
He should be arrested.
