NIGERIA -JULY 01 2014 – Civilian patrol group says 56 dead in Nigeria market blast blamed on Boko Haram extremists
A car bomb in a marketplace in Maiduguri, the northeast Nigerian city that is the birthplace of Boko Haram extremism, killed at least 56 people on Tuesday, the leader of a civilian group that recovered the bodies said.
Sadiq Abba Tijjani, leader of the Civilian Joint Task Force, told the Associated Press his group recovered at least 56 dead bodies at the blast site, mostly elderly women who sold peanuts and lemon juice at the market.
Tijjani said they managed to identify 21 of the dead but the rest “were either burnt or damaged beyond recognition.”
Other witnesses also estimated the death toll to around 50. Some officials said only 17 people died in the explosion that ripped through the market early Tuesday, but officials regularly play down the death toll.
Witnesses and officials blamed Boko Haram extremists who have been accused of a series of bomb attacks in the West African nation.

I agree. We do indeed need to pray for Muslims, the vast majority just unlucky to be born within the prison of Islam. They are suffering the most in the turmoil and chaos that Bush and B;lair have created in the Islamic world.
Like most people, Muslims are are sheep – they will follow the strong horse. bin Laden recognised that. Future historians may even cite bin Laden as a latter day Moses who led Muslims to freedom. Or bin Laden as the Pharaoh, who by his action on 9/11, precipitated the crash of Islam.

There is a very seductive idea that the powers-that-be actually know what we know and have a master plan to deal with it so that in the most efficient way these problems can be solved.
I would like to quote someone I know fairly well, and is deeply inside the machinery of the US government’s military.
Paraphrasing:
‘There is no cavalry coming. There is no master plan. Most of these people are clueless about Islam and why things are taking shape the way they are. Do not count on any of the existing structures to do anything to fix all this”
I may have some of the wording wrong as this conversation was a week ago now. But I stand by the sentiment of what was said.
I have had this tab open all day waiting to reply to your comment, because I believe it is you who have written many really well thought out posts in the past couple of weeks about how a lot of this could well be part of a master plan. It was great thinking but in reality, wishful thinking. Hell I was also entertaining similar ideas for quite a while. Which is why I brought it up to my friend.
For a model of how the US will more likely act, ask yourself the following question:
‘If Obama was a communist quasi muslim, or certainly willing to use islam and muslims to help him achieve his goal of the total destruction of the US in terms of its classical heritage, capitalism, European roots etc. then what sort of decisions would he make in terms of foreign and domestic policies, assuming he was at least fairly competent in achieving those goals.’
Then you can build quite a good model of exactly what the US has been doing and will continue to do, so long as congress etc. is more afraid of black rioting than they are of what Obama is doing to that recently great nation.
It may play out as you say it will. But not because that was Obama’s plan. You can tell with every word he says where his allegiances really lie. If he has one quality that we can bank on, its that he has enough hubris to speak his true feelings at one level, because its not enough to do damage to the US on a daily basis, he needs to be able to show his contempt while doing so.
Geopolitics in the end will likely determine how things play out. But my issue has always been, ‘how much damage do we want to take till then?’
