More on the financing of the Victory Mosque

Investigating America From Big Peace

Dueling investigations are underway on the Ground Zero Mosque.  Mustering on the Offense, in opposition to the Ground Zero Mosque: hundreds of citizen researchers, reporters, lawyers,  authors, elected officials, and scholars who are researching Imam Rauf and his Muslim Brotherhood colleagues and their funding.   An Army of Davids.

And playing Defense as best they can, supporting the Imam and his rapidly collapsing Cordoba House of Cards: House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, Mayor Michael Bloomberg, Daily Kos, Glenn Greenwald at Salon, ThinkProgress, Vet Voice, and now Politico, all “investigating” the groups and individuals who oppose the Ground Zero Mosque.

Best-selling author Robert Spencer captured the Politico style perfectly at Jihadwatch on August 19:

Cost of New York bus ads: $10,000

Cost of press release: $1,500

Cost of watching the lapdog media track the sources of these sums while ignoring the questionable funding of a $100 million dollar mosque: Priceless.

I just got a call from Kenneth P. Vogel of Politico, asking me a series of questions about donations to our efforts against the Ground Zero mega-mosque, and growing increasingly hostile and belligerent when I declined to answer.  Vogel even said to me at one point, “Look, you can make this hard, or you can make this easy” — apparently he has been watching too many Law and order reruns. Imam Feisal Rauf and the Genocidal Hamas Covenant

Thanks to Andrew Bostom for sending me this:

Imam Feisal Rauf and the Genocidal Hamas Covenant

August 25th, 2010 by Andrew Bostom |

From a Hamas poster glorifying the martyr who drowns the Zionists in blood (used as part of the cover art for Raphael Israeli’s seminal “Islamikaze”)

As reported by the New York Post’s Tom Topoussis on June 19, 2010, Imam Feisal Rauf repeatedly declined to acknowledge, unequivocally, that Hamas is a terrorist organization, despite its formal designation as such by the US State Department, in these words:

Hamas terrorists, especially those in the Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades, have conducted many attacks, including large-scale suicide bombings, against Israeli civilian and military targets

Asked by WABC radio interviewer Aaron Klein whether he agreed with the State Department’s assessment, Imam Rauf stated, “Look, I’m not a politician. The issue of terrorism is a very complex question.” When Klein persisted, asking Rauf again for his view on Hamas, the imam, now exasperated, still refused to agree openly with the State Department’s apt designation.

I contend that Rauf’s repeated refusal to acknowledge that Hamas is indeed a terrorist organization—jihad terror being Hamas’ specific abiding ideology—is entirely consistent with his own documented lionization of well-known fundamentalist Muslim jurists such as Ibn Taymiyyah (d. 1328), and the founder of modern Wahhabism, Muhammad ibn Abd-al-Wahhab (d. 1792). Moreover, Rauf praises the contemporary cleric Yusuf al-Qaradawi—Spiritual Leader of the Muslim Brotherhood, immensely popular Al-Jazeera television savant on the Sharia, and in whose name the government of Qatar recently created the Al-Qaradawi Centre for Islamic Moderation—as “…probably the most well-known legal authority in the whole Muslim world today.” But perhaps most importantly, Rauf’s continued close association with, and nurturing by former Malaysian Prime Minister Mahathir Muhammad, also comports with the imam’s  adamant refusal to acknowledge Hamas’ ethos of jihad terror. 9/11 Mosque Imam Wrote Much of the Guts of Obama’s Historic Cairo Speech!

This explains a lot…

From Web Today

Image WEBTODAY EXCLUSIVE (August 24, 2010)– QUESTION: Who really was speaking on that historic day of June 4th 2009 in Cairo, Egypt? President Obama or the Imam of the proposed Ground Zero Mosque, Feisal Abdul Rauf?

ANSWER: Feisal Abdul Rauf!

Link to audio of Rauf's admission

The Shoebat Foundation obtained this shocking audio recording of Rauf’s own voice boasting in Arabic that Obama’s historic Cairo speech was provided by the Imam and the Cordova Initiative in what the Imam called “The Blue Print” which he said was the solution to the Islamic-American divide. Rauf claimed Chapter 6 of the Imam’s work engineered by the Cordova Initiative was the construct for the entire speech:

“This is an example of the impact of our work in a positive way to be used by the President.”

“The blue print,” Rauf elaborated, included everything from U.S. policy to Jewish and Christian relations with Muslims.

For an Imam in New York to be involved in the orchestrating U.S. foreign policy is quite the claim. In the recording dated February 5th, 2010 Rauf boasted that:

“We have to look at it [as] how to engineer solutions. At the Cordova Initiative we think of ourselves as an engineering shop. Yes. We have an analytical approach. Our work has been that. IN THE BOOK CHAPTER 6, I WROTE ABOUT THIS BLUE PRINT as to WHAT HAS TO BE DONE BY THE U.S. GOVERNMENT, what has to be done by the Jewish community, what has to be done by the Christian community, what has to be done by the Muslim community, what has to be done by educators, what has to be done by the media. For example, IN MY BOOK IN THE ARABIC VERSION page 293, what did I write? WHAT ARE THE THINGS THAT THE UNITED STATES NEEDS TO DO. IF YOU EXAMINE THIS CHAPTER YOU WILL FIND THAT THE OBAMA SPEECH IN CAIRO WAS ALL TAKEN FROM THIS SECTION [Section 6]. When you do a job that is very complicated. You ask yourself, what have you accomplished. All these problems can be solved but requires the will to solve it. It requires political will, resources and the right focus. The signs of how to go to the moon was known 200 years ago, but the political will and financial will for it happened during 1960-1961. When John Kennedy said that we will send an American to the moon before the end of the 60’s, he established the financial resources and the political will.”

The story was even collaborated in a written article in an interview with Hani Al-Waziri of Egypt. The clue was revealed while Rauf was answering a question regarding President Barack Obama’s speech in which Rauf replied:

“The speech was wonderful and wise in his choice of words, the Prime Minister of Malaysia after the speech disclosed to me that it is now easy for any president of a Muslim country to establish good relations with America, and I AM NOT GOING TO HIDE FROM YOU THAT ONE OF THOSE WHO PARTICIPATED IN WRITING THE SPEECH, TRANSFERRED ENTIRE PARTS OF MY BOOK ‘A NEW VISION FOR MUSLIMS AND THE WEST’, which he referred to U.S. interests being compatible with top interests of the Muslim world”.

Rauf did not disclose the name of this speechwriter that included Rauf’s work in president Obama’s historic address to the Muslim world. It is crucial to note that the Arabic version of Feisal Abdul Rauf’s book was published in Malaysia titled “A CALL TO PRAYER, FROM THE WORLD TRADE CENTER RUBBLE: ISLAMIC DAWA (SUMMONS TO ISLAM) IN THE HEART OF AMERICA POST-9/11.”

The interview with Hani Alwaziri dated February 7th, 2010 intended to discuss Rauf’s plans for what he terms “American Style Islam” and the Cordova Initiative goals for the U.S. Rauf later stated that his goal was “To establish an American style Islam in the United States” in which he explains his aspiration of spreading Islam in America by using flexibility and molding Islam to become palatable to the American culture while preserving the integrity of Islamic ideology:

“If we look how Islam was spread from Hijaz (Arabia) to Morocco then Turkey, we note that Islam was shaped by the culture and society, hence showing a Muslim version of the architecture and culture and the arts, but with preservation of the framework of belief and worship. We need to provide a GLOBAL ISLAM in accordance with the nature of each society.”

Rauf boasted about his towering structure by Ground Zero as:

“an icon that will make Muslims proud, not only locally but globally.”

His suggestion to Muslims on how to deal with western Christians and Jews was:

“deal with them as one courts a pretty girl he wants to date; stop thinking like a typical Muslim. Then you can engage.”

He also discussed how he courted Bloomberg and the Jewish Community boards that “we have inroads with the Jewish Community Center”. It is interesting that Rauf stated in Arabic to Hadielislam, another prominent Muslim think tank that:

“people need to use peaceful means to advise the governors and government institutions…we also suggest to the governors and political institutions to CONSULT [MUSLIM] RELIGIOUS INSTITUTIONS AND [MUSLIM] PERSONALITIES IN THE FIELD SO AS TO ASSURE THEIR DECISION MAKING TO REFLECT THE SPIRIT OF SHARIAH.”

In previous reports researched by the Walid Shoebat Foundation, it was revealed that Imam Rauf has made statements in the Arabic language – while appearing on Arabic media outlets – that completely contradict his moderate tone when speaking English, exposing him as a direct supporter of terrorism, both financially and verbally.

Walid Shoebat a former terrorist now an advocate for the U.S. and exposes Jihadist political agenda is conducting interviews on various news media outlets to expose this outrage.

ABOUT WALID SHOEBAT…

Walid is the author of several bestselling books including “Why I Left Jihad,” “Why We Want To Kill You” and “God’s War on Terror.” Walid is an American citizen and lives in the USA with his wife and children, under this assumed name. Walid has spoken all over America and the world including Chile, Mexico, Canada, UK, and South Africa. He has appeared on national television also all over the world including CNN, CNN International, FOX News, ITN, RTE, NBC, CBS, The 700, ABC and ABC Australia. He has also been featured on BBC radio 4, 5 and the largest radio audience on the BBC World Service reaching 180 million people.

Walid has the unique insight so as people can now fully understand the issue of terrorism from the perspective of someone who was once a terrorist. Walid Shoebat has given lectures at Harvard Law School and Columbia University, and has also spoken at Oxford University UK, National Constitution Center, Capitol Hill, UCLA, USC, University of Georgia, Washington University, Penn State, and San Diego State University.

Pork Plant Opens Next to Mosque Next to Ground Zero

What a tragedy that this probably isn’t true…

Pork Plant Opens Next to Mosque Next to Ground Zero

Bumble Bee Ham is opening a processing plant and deli in New York just two blocks away from Ground Zero next to a new mosque. The new location will process ham to be shipped out to Bumble Bee Hams across the country and launch a new high end deli on the ground level called “Bacon.” The feature item is a bacon burger made from ground bacon, topped with bacon served open faced on a bacon croissant with bacon ranch and a side of bacon sticks. This has set off a firestorm between many Americans and Muslims against so-called “bacon extremists.”

Critics claim that Bumble Bee Ham is being insensitive to Muslim feelings and seeking to inflame Muslim sensibilities. Supporters swear they only wish to promote a new peaceful dialogue in Muslim/Pork relations. Imam Faisal Abdul Rauf, the founder of the mosque was reported in the New Pork Times saying, “Most New Yorkers find the placement of Bumble Bee Ham offensive. New York is a big city. Why can’t they just build somewhere else? If they really care about healing delicate wounds between Muslims and Pork they wouldn’t build in a location where most New Yorkers disapprove.”

A spokesman for Bumble Bee Ham responded in the New York Pork declaring, “We have no desire to inflame or insult New Yorkers by inflaming and insulting them. America stands for freedom and we fully believe in that right. Freedom doesn’t include a right to decency or good taste.

We here at Rancor News fully believe in everyone’s right to freedom, however, we do not approve of people using their freedom to be dicks. You don’t build new peaceful relations by kicking someone in the crotch. Just because you can do something doesn’t mean you should. We will stand by Bumble Bee Ham’s freedom to operate where they choose and our freedom to call them insensitive, inflammatory, attention whoring, opportunistic pricks.

The defiant wife of the cleric behind the planned mosque near Ground Zero vowed yesterday to go ahead with the project — calling it a “history-making moment” in the fight against “Islamophobia.”

Daisy Khan, who founded the project along with her husband, Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf, said the increasing opposition — which she blamed on Republicans — has only caused organizers to become more committed.

“There is too much at stake, constitutional rights, the development of the Muslims here, how the world is watching the United States. We tell people America upholds religious freedom. We should not compromise those values,” she said in an interview with The Washington Post.

Daisy Khan, wife of Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf, the moving force behind the planned mosque near Ground Zero, had strong words about the project yesterday.

VIDEO: MOSQUE DEBATE ON GOOD DAY NEW YORK

The furor surrounding the planned mosque and Islamic cultural center two blocks from Ground Zero has “only strengthened our supporters. None of them have caved. They are circling the wagons around us. They know they could be next.”

“We have too important a moment to back down. We have to take our opponents and transform them. We have to convince people that not all Muslims are extremists,” she said.

“We have to educate them on being able to distinguish between us and on the issue of Islamophobia.”

Khan spoke out about the mosque while her husband is in the Middle East on a goodwill trip sponsored by the US State Department.

Throughout the interview with columnist Sally Quinn, Khan repeatedly stressed the importance of moving forward with the project, which has stirred debate all over the country.

“What gives me strength [is that] we are in a history-making moment. Our ideals must prevail. We have to fight for a bigger society,” said Khan.

She said that she and her husband had received death threats and have informed the police.

Khan said the organizers “will have a dialogue” with the families of 9/11 victims, but added about the mosque site: “It is private property. To walk away without taking everything into consideration would be irresponsible.”

Instead of creating enemies, she said, she hopes this controversy will help people better understand Islam.

“We are debating about having a healing dialogue, building bridges, and this whole thing has turned into the opposite of what we have envisioned,” she said.

Khan said she is completely taken aback by the opposition.

She expressed surprise that “a community center for everyone in the neighborhood, to scale up and build up people of all religions, has become so skewed.”

The clamor around the mosque has become so deafening, she said, she’s afraid to turn on the TV.

“It’s hard to see yourself portrayed this way daily. But to me, it’s an indication that the post-9/11 controversy is not finished. It’s not over and neither is the healing. This is a teaching moment. A healing moment,” she said.

She blamed partisan strife for stirring up people’s emotions.

“It’s hard for us to imagine we are in the thick of a controversy like this. The Republicans are really going after us,” she said.

The uproar over the mosque, said Khan, shows that “there is still healing that needs to happen. There are bigger issues here and it’s also about how Muslims are perceived. When will Muslims be accepted as plain old Americans?”

“This is a bigger fight. This is a defining moment for us.”

Addressing one of the more controversial aspects of the project — who will pay the big bucks for its completion — she said that the fund-raising has not begun yet.

“On the advice of our attorneys, we wanted to clear the civic hurdles first,” she said.

Khan said that she and her husband have been talking to Muslims all over the United States about the project.

“It’s a major concern of the Muslim communities because it has sparked anti-Islam and anti-mosque feelings everywhere. Six mosques have already been prevented from being established. We have to be careful about every step we take. There are huge stakes in this,” she said.

She claimed that there has been little interest in her project from Muslims outside the United States, but said that might change since her husband began his tour of the Middle East.

A State Department spokesman said that Rauf might speak about the mosque during the tour.

“I wouldn’t be surprised if he talks about the ongoing debate within the United States, as an example of our emphasis on religious tolerance and resolving questions that come up within the rule of law,” said department spokesman P.J. Crowley.

Rauf — who has been on several State Department tours, including two under former President George W. Bush — is not allowed to fund-raise on the trip.

Washington Times: KUHNER: Obama’s Islamic agenda

He embraces the Muslim world and turns his back on us

By Jeffrey T. Kuhner

The Washington Times

MugshotIllustration: Obama crescent by Greg Groesch for The Washington Times

President Obama has revealed his true nature. After 20 months in the Oval Office, he still remained a largely unknown figure. A picture is coming into focus now, and it should trouble all Americans. It is widely known that Mr. Obama is a post-national progressive. Yet he is also a cultural Muslim who is promoting an anti-American, pro-Islamic agenda. This is the real meaning of his warm – and completely needless – embrace of the Ground Zero Mosque.

At an Iftar dinner celebrating Ramadan at the White House, Mr. Obama told Muslim-Americans that he supports the building of an Islamic community center and mosque just two blocks away from where the Twin Towers were destroyed and nearly 3,000 Americans were murdered on Sept. 11, 2001. He later tried to back away from those comments. Mr. Obama said he was defending the right of religious freedom but not the “wisdom” of erecting the mosque. Continue Reading →

Ground Zero Mosque’s Hidden Websites: Follow the Shariah Big Peace

Posted by Christine Brim Aug 17th 2010 at 10:45 am in Featured Story, Islamic extremism |

Do the math.  The 15 floors planned for the Ground Zero Mosque just don’t add up.

What’s the goal? Maybe the Imam’s goal is not simply to force a provocative “insensitivity” about 9-11 on the American public, with the help of America’s elites.  Maybe the Imam’s long-term goal is to force Shariah law on the American public – of course, again, with the help of America’s elites.

ground zero mosque

Why don’t the 15 floors add up? How many floors does Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf need for the mosque portion of this triumphal Islamic command center planned for the two building sites at 45-47 Park Place in New York City?  Think about it: maybe 2 floors for the mosque itself and related offices.  A 3rd floor for the swimming pool, a 4th for the 500 seat auditorium, a 5th for the halal restaurant and halal culinary school, a 6th for the art studios, the childcare center and library, a 7th for the gym and basketball court.  Add an 8th floor for miscellaneous storage and offices.  And then add a 9th floor for the September 11 memorial, an after-thought that was recently added to the Imam’s plan, although that may in fact be more of a room off to one side than a whole floor.

That leaves six mystery floors empty – or dedicated to other activities. Six floors – that’s a lot of offices, a lot of employees, maybe more than half of the 150 full-time and 500 part-time jobs the Imam says he’ll bring to Lower Manhattan.   What are Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf’s plans for those six mystery floors?

Follow the Shariah Index Project to solve the puzzle of the 6 mystery floors: We found two hidden websites with  copiously deleted information, all about the Imam’s Cordoba Institute Shariah Index Project.  For reference, here’s the Imam’s most recent hidden website (also available here as a pdf).  And here’s the Imam’s earlier hidden website (also available here as a pdf).  The information on those websites – information that the Imam tried to hide with a new whitewashed version – suggests that the six mystery floors of the Ground Zero Mosque will be dedicated to the Imam’s long-term goal: the Shariah Index Project, designed to benchmark Shariah compliance, to distribute Shariah propaganda, and to enforce Shariah law in America and worldwide.

Drawing from those hidden webpages and other sites, we’ve constructed a timeline for the Shariah Index Project and a partial list of Rauf’s partners in the Project.  In Part 2, we’ll reveal the disturbing background and views of those partners.  And in Part 3, we’ll present the bottom line – how this all ties together as a historic Islamist effort to market and to enforce Shariah in America, starting from Ground Zero. Excellent graphic for the Victory Mosque

I have been dicking around making funny signs for the proposed Victory mosque at Ground Zero New York. Meanwhile, the Baron over at Gates of Vienna has done the graphic that really matters.

I hope that this becomes the symbol for this mocking tower of triumph for Islamic terror those bastards want to built in the former coat factory. By the way, Robert Spencer did a very good rebuttal to Mayor Bloomberg’s absurd non-reasoning for allowing, nay advocating, this project.
