Some interesting videos and articles about Tucker Carlson and FOX

UPDATE: Daily Mail and from Tucker Carlson himself:

EXCLUSIVE: ‘Appetizers plus entrée!’ Looks like Tucker Carlson doesn’t give two Fox about his ouster from network – gleefully telling DailyMail.com his future plans while tooling off to a romantic date night with wife Susan

It’s been barely two days since his brutal ouster from Fox News – but Tucker Carlson looks like a man without a care in the world.

The TV firebrand shrugged off the media storm and insisted he was more interested in enjoying a romantic date with his wife Susan as he broke his silence in an exclusive chat with DailyMail.com.

‘Retirement is going great so far,’ chuckled Carlson, 53, as he emerged from his $5.5 million beach home in Boca Grande, Florida on Tuesday night. ]…]

Dad-of-four Carlson zoomed off in a golf cart without elaborating on reports that he was ‘blindsided’ by Monday’s shock announcement that he was ‘parting ways’ with Fox – despite being the network’s biggest prime-time star.

But DailyMail.com understands that he spent Tuesday huddling with right-hand man Justin Wells – who lost his executive producer gig – as the cable news veterans plotted their next move.

Former Fox host Glenn Beck and Jeremy Boreing, the founder of conservative media company, The Daily Wire, have both said they’d love to offer a job to Carlson, who courted controversy by arguing against US involvement in the Russia-Ukraine conflict and rejected the notion that January 6 was an insurrection.

Sources say, however, that Carlson is unlikely to make any significant moves while powerhouse Hollywood attorney Bryan Freedman negotiates his exit package with Fox Corp brass.

Freedman is also representing axed CNN anchors Don Lemon – who was fired the same day as Carlson – and Chris Cuomo, who wants a $125 million payout for wrongful termination.

1. Conservative Tree House has an excellent article

[…] First, Carlson was being paid about $20 million a year by Murdoch.  He had about 3 years left on his contract and will be paid the full contract amount.  Carlson found out about 10 minutes before Fox Corp made the announcement.  They did not “part ways,” Tucker Carlson was fired. […]

For financial context, remember Rupert Murdoch paid Megyn Kelly $15 million (Via Harper Collins) for the 2015/2016 operation against Donald Trump.  Paying $60 to $100 million to get rid of Carlson’s antagonistic voice is small money to Murdoch Inc. in the grand scheme of things. [Murdoch has also paid for Ron DeSantis to oppose Trump]

Carlson will not be asked to sign an NDA, is not bound by a “non-compete” clause following the contract nullification by Fox Corp, and will be free to do anything he wants in any venture.  Additionally, he will be free to say whatever he wants about the issues at Fox and speak freely, or not, without any legal or contractual constraints.  Keep all of that in mind.

2. Paul Joseph Watson shows some of his critics celebrating and the claims which are projections rather than any attempt at truths

3. Gad Saad on Tucker. “When you shoot for the King, you better not miss”. (Actually it’s mostly about Gad and what his friends say about hGad’s non-left supporting opinions and nothing about Tucker much at all)

4. Viva Barnes on Tucker. His first question to his guest was answered by Conservative Tree House. He was fired period. No variation on it at all. Terms and conditions are in the CT article linked in item 1. The new info here appears to be that it was FOX that WOULD NOT LET Tucker play his Jan 6 footage which would have exonerated more and more people from prison after the false flag event at The Capitol Bldg.

Looking forward to where Tucker lands. If he goes on Spotify, it will be so satisfying to buy a subscription.

[…]Bolt also cited the sexual abuse charges levelled at Carlson by Abby Grossberg, the former Fox News booker who allegedly never worked personally with Carlson, conservative social media influencer Greg Price claimed.

A source who is a former Fox News employee tells me Abby Grossberg never once met Tucker Carlson during her time as his booker.

She worked out of the Fox NYC office while Tucker spent all his time in his home studios in Maine and Florida.

That mysteriously goes unmentioned in this New York Times story.

Carlson also told Daily Mail during an exclusive chat that retirement was “going great” as he departed his beach home.

“Retirement is going great so far,” said Carlson on Tuesday.

“I haven’t eaten dinner with my wife on a weeknight in seven years,” he joked. “Appetizers plus entree.”

Daily Mail also reported that the former television host spent Tuesday with his former executive producer, Justin Wells, who also lost his job with Fox News on Monday. Daily Mail speculated that the two may be planning their next moves.

Carlson also responded to reports that members of Biden’s Defense Department celebrated his leave from Fox News, texting a reporter from Politico, “Ha! I’m sure.”

Fox News has not confirmed why they parted ways with Carlson. However, the news came one week after the Fox Corporation settled a $787.5 million lawsuit with Dominion Voting Systems, reportedly due to the network’s coverage of the discrepancies that took place during the 2020 presidential election.

Nonetheless, the move by the Fox Corporation has proven to be unpopular among viewers, as the media network’s stock fell by nearly $1 billion shortly after the announcement.

    • POLITICO – ‘Good riddance’: Pentagon officials cheer Tucker Carlson’s ouster

The former Fox host ridiculed top DoD leaders over Biden-era policies.

From maternity flight suits to diversity policies to Ukraine aid, the military was a favorite punching bag for Tucker Carlson. Now that he’s off the air, some Pentagon officials are quietly cheering his departure.

Carlson’s criticism of Biden-era personnel policies appealed to many of the rank-and-file, which has a large bloc of conservative members. But at the upper levels of the Defense Department, news of Carlson’s firing from Fox News on Monday was met with delight and outright glee in some corners.

“We’re a better country without him bagging on our military every night in front of hundreds of thousands of people,” said one senior DoD official, who like others interviewed for this story was granted anonymity to discuss a politically sensitive topic.

“Good riddance,” said a second DoD official.

Asked to respond to the news that DoD officials are pleased by his departure from Fox, Carlson responded by text message: “Ha! I’m sure.” He declined to comment further.

The tension between the former cable host and Pentagon leadership isn’t new. Carlson drew the ire of top DoD officials early in the Biden administration for personal attacks on a number of military leaders, as well as ridiculing the armed forces’ efforts to increase diversity. A slew of conservative leaders quickly followed Carlson’s lead, giving rise to a small but vocal minority that to this day continues to hammer DoD officials, saying they’re focusing personnel policies at the expense of preparing for war. The Pentagon says only a small percentage of troops’ time is spent on diversity training.

Most memorably, Carlson’s remarks disparaging female service members in March 2021 prompted a rare rebuke from then-Pentagon spokesperson John Kirby.

After President Joe Biden announced new efforts to recruit and keep women in the service — including designing new body armor, updating requirements for hairstyles and the nominations of two female generals to become combatant commanders — at a White House ceremony, Carlson accused the commander in chief of making a “mockery” of the troops.

“So, we’ve got new hairstyles and maternity flight suits. Pregnant women are going to fight our wars. It’s a mockery of the U.S. military,” he said.

In response, Kirby took a rare swipe at the Fox News host.

“What we absolutely won’t do is take personnel advice from a talk show host or the Chinese military,” Kirby said during a briefing with reporters, adding that Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin “shares the revulsion” of others who criticized Carlson’s remarks.

The comments yielded another rarity: The Pentagon’s in-house news service published an article focused entirely on the dust-up: “Press Secretary Smites Host That Dissed Diversity in U.S. Military.”

Kirby, who is now the top spokesperson for the National Security Council at the White House, declined to comment for this story.

The Fox News host targeted the Air Force in particular, calling Lt. Gen. Brad Webb, then-commander of Air Education and Training Command, a “doughy moron” for updating pilot tests to address systemic racism. He also mocked Maj. Gen. Ed Thomas, head of the Air Force’s recruiting office, for arguing that the service’s pilot force needs to become more diverse.

Carlson “made a mockery” of the free press and “repeatedly cherry-picked department policies and used them to destroy DoD as an institution,” said the first senior DoD official.

One general who clashed with Carlson on social media during the episode, Maj. Gen. Patrick Donahoe, had his retirement delayed for several months while the Army conducted a probe of the exchanges.

While several military leaders sent messages in support of women in the services without naming Carlson, Donahoe tweeted that the host “couldn’t be more wrong.” That prompted Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) to send a letter to Austin accusing Donahoe and other military leaders of expressing partisan views.

The saga ended in January with no action taken against Donahoe, who tweeted Monday’s news about Carlson’s exit with the message, “I have thoughts.” Donahoe declined to comment for this story.

Pentagon officials say ‘we’re a better country’ now that Tucker Carlson is off the air

“We’re a better country without him bagging on our military every night in front of hundreds of thousands of people.”

Officials at the Pentagon are cheering the departure from prime time of Fox News host Tucker Carlson, who frequently took aim at the US military over their diversity policies, war in Ukraine, and lack of accountability to the American public.

“We’re a better country without him bagging on our military every night in front of hundreds of thousands of people,” one senior Department of Defense official told Politico, speaking on conditions of anonymity.

When asked by the outlet to respond to Pentagon officials’ cheers over his departure, Carlson told Politico by text message, “Ha! I’m sure.”

The first senior DoD official said Carlson “made a mockery” of the free press and “repeatedly cherry-picked department policies and used them to destroy DoD as an institution.”

Carlson frequently took aim at military leadership on his show, including Joint Chiefs of Staff General Mark Milley. Carlson called for his firing after a direct order from Milley read, “If Donald Trump refuses to leave office, the United States Military must remove him by force and you must give that order.”

Carlson slammed Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin for his 2021 comment that “white people are part of the problem.” He spoke out against the firing of a Space Force commander who was let go after voicing concerns over Marxism and critical race theory in the US armed forces. Carlson also blasted the Pentagon’s use of an “inclusion board” to lower training standards, and to prioritize identity politics over military readiness.

On Monday morning it was revealed that Carlson and Fox News had “agreed to part ways.” Fox Corporation’s stock plummeted by 5 percent, wiping out $930 million in market value following the news of the popular primetime host’s exit.

the guardian –Tucker Carlson’s vulgar language in texts contributed to Fox News firing – report

Tucker Carlson’s firing from Fox News came after he used vulgar language to describe a network executive, the Wall Street Journal reported.

Carlson described a senior Fox News executive as a C-word in a text message obtained by lawyers as part of a defamation lawsuit between the network and Dominion Voting Systems, according to the Journal, which like Fox is part of the Murdoch media empire.

In a case settled last week for $787.5m, Fox lawyers reportedly convinced the Delaware judge to redact the message from public filings. Carlson, however, was still reportedly furious the network was not doing enough to protect him.

Other messages in which he called the Donald Trump adviser and attorney Sidney Powell attorney a C-word and a “bitch” were made public as part of the lawsuit.

The primetime host’s internal messages were among the most embarrassing for Fox as he said he “passionately hated” Trump, called for a colleague to be fired for accurately fact-checking claims about voting machines, and bluntly criticized Powell.

More embarrassing information about Carlson may yet come to light. Rolling Stone reported on Tuesday that the network has a dossier of damaging information about him.

The thrust of Dominion’s defamation claims involved other anchors: Maria Bartiromo, Jeanine Pirro and Lou Dobbs. Dobbs’s show was cancelled in 2021 but Bartiromo and Pirro remain.

Carlson was one of Fox’s biggest stars before he was abruptly fired on Monday, reportedly learning of his fate 10 minutes before it was announced.

The Fox executives Suzanne Scott and Lachlan Murdoch reportedly made the decision on Friday. The Los Angeles Times reported that Rupert Murdoch, the 92-year-old patriarch of the owning family, decided to fire Carlson with input from top officials.

Carlson faces a separate lawsuit from Abby Grossberg, a former senior booking producer who claims there was a sexist and hostile working environment on his show.

Staffers sat around joking about which female politicians they would rather sleep with, Grossberg alleges.

She also claims she was encouraged to lie when Dominion’s lawyers presented her with the message in which Carlson called Powell the C-word and a “bitch”.

Grossberg told lawyers it did not make her feel uncomfortable and she did not know how she would react if that type of language was used by Carlson and those around him. In reality, she said in a court filing, she knew Carlson was capable of using that language and felt “terrible” each time she heard it in the office.

Some at Fox had become concerned that Carlson, the network’s most-watched anchor, had begun to go too far in racist themes on his show, got the network in too much trouble with advertisers, and was operating as if he was bigger than the network, the Journal reported.

Carlson broadcast his show from a private studio in Maine. He has not commented on his firing.

Announcing his departure, Fox News said: “Fox News Media and Tucker Carlson have agreed to part ways. We thank him for his service to the network as a host and prior to that as a contributor.”

It is not the first time Carlson has come under fire regarding vulgar language. In 2015, his brother Buckley Carlson sent an email to Carlson and Amy Spitalnick, then a spokesperson for the New York City mayor, Bill de Blasio, calling her a “whiny bitch”.

“Whiny little self-righteous bitch … and with such an ironic name, too … Spitalnick? Ironic because you just know she has extreme dick-fright; no chance has this girl ever had a pearl necklace. Spoogeneck? I don’t think so. More like LabiaFace,” Buckley Carlson wrote.

Carlson did not seem to have any issue with the language, telling BuzzFeed News, which obtained the email: “I just talked to my brother about his response, and he assures me he meant it in the nicest way.”

On Wednesday, Spitalnick told the Guardian in an email: “Fox News knew exactly who Tucker Carlson was when they handed him a primetime show in 2016 – and they saw his misogyny and white supremacy as an asset, at least until they faced legal liability.

“We should be clear: it’s not just his vulgar comments about women. Like with so many extremists, that misogyny was an early warning sign as he quickly became a fan favorite among avowed neo-Nazis – who saw him as their most effective vehicle to normalize their violent hate.”

CNN – See how Russian media depicts former Fox host Tucker Carlson

      ( 9 min 45 )

    • CNN – Media critic weighs in on role ex-Fox producer possibly played on Tucker Carlson’s firing

Abby Grossberg, a former Fox News producer suing the company, told MSNBC that she has 90 damning audio tapes from her time at the network revealing a toxic work environment.

  2. I read Abby Grossberg is now suing Fox for forcing her to lie about Tucker and other matters.

  3. Interesting theory: Robert F. Kennedy, recently interviewed by Tucker, will be a major problem for Biden.

IMO, a combination of multiple issues led to Tucker’s firing. The goal would be to get Biden reelected.

  4. Tucker wanted to “destroy DoD as an institution”

    — That sounds like a hyperbole at best. The idea that he has worked for them seems much more plausible to me. In that case DoD is leaking b.s*it now about him in order to give Tucker credit as an anti-government hero in the children’s tale the PTB and Tucker himself are telling us.
