Most notably, Islam and its effects on Classical Civilization, and various forms of leftism from Soviet era communism, to postmodernism and all the flavours of galloping statism and totalitarianism such as Nazism and Fascism which are increasingly snuffing out the classical liberalism which created our near, miraculous civilization the West has been building since the time of Socrates.

This document was written around the time this site was created, for those who wish to understand what this site is about. And while our understanding of the world and events has grown since then, the basic ideas remain sound and true to the purpose.

So please post all links, thoughts and ideas that you feel will benefit the readers of this site to the comments under this post each day. And thank you all for your contributions.

This is the new Samizdat. We must use it while we can.

  1. So much snow, it’s like God is trying to tell us something. But what? Sometimes I wish he would just spit things out and not waste my time with silly metaphors.

Heavy equipment has created snow mountains in shopping center parking lots all over the city. People carve out their driveways and walkways and cannot even see their neighbors over the snow walls they have piled higher than a grown man. City plows carve out the roads, if we’re lucky. Even then, the side streets in the residential neighborhoods offer an increasingly narrow passage. These roads are reduced to a single lane trail where drivers must politely defer to each other in order to make way. It has come to the point where we don’t know what to do with the stuff. Yet, we adapt and trundle on. We walk our dogs on sidewalks that barely exist, huffing and puffing with every heavy step through this resistance that came from the sky. And we have forgotten already what it was like before.

I ran into an old friend, Bob, at the mall yesterday who I haven’t seen in years. We spoke briefly. I said I had just bought a new jacket. Bob said he and his wife were getting a divorce and that they were fighting over custody for their daughter.

Obviously, our respective minds were in slightly different landscapes. It sounded to me like Bobby was trying on a very different kind of jacket.

He said he had printed up as many studies as he could find dispelling all the Covid, injection, lockdown and mask lies. He said this paper brick of scientific evidence weighed twenty-two pounds. He told me how he dropped it, for effect, from a height of one foot onto the desk of his own lawyer. This was his argument to retain custody of the daughter his wife had abandoned, but for whom she now had returned to make a claim. He explained how hard it had been to protect his kid from the injection mandates. (Reminding me of things we have forgotten about, such as the artful concealing of our injection status during the darkest days, and little things like how we were even afraid to sneeze in public.)

Bob explained how he now had to prove to the State that he had protected their child from possible mRNA injury by not letting her get injected. He had to do this even though, despite all of the legitimate evidence gushing forth, the State-paid judge may still have a bias against him. –May brand him an “extremist” like every Canadian trucker. He became a bit emphatic, waving his arms as he spoke, “…so I’m forced to prove I’m the better parent despite the full weight of evidence that says I clearly saved this girl from possible poisoning…it’s insane!”

Needless to say, he added, the mother remained in favour of the “vaccine”.

At the end of our conversation I wished Bob the best of luck with his fight, and we parted ways. The poor guy had clearly needed to unload on someone.

Driving home I thought about all that we have learned about all the lies we have been told over the last few years. In retrospect we can even see the pre-plandemic setup lies we were told by the likes of Gates and Fauci about the certainty of a coming pandemic. It is now all so obvious, at least to this readership, that one wonders why these men are not being investigated based on just those damning telegrams. We also see the setup purchase by Trudeau when he bought out the Canadian media just before the plandemic. That was an important purchase, wasn’t it. If nobodies like us can see this, where are the cops when we need one? Meanwhile, our liberties are draining from our lives like clean drinking water from a jug. If our movements weren’t restricted by vaxx mandates they soon will be by digital ID’s, or food or power shortages, or deteriorating economic conditions, etc. We are on an ever-narrowing path, imposed by ever-growing, anthropogenic, living restrictions.

I have come to the conclusion that cowardice is the last right the State allows me to keep after taking away all others. That’s right. I have the right to stay seated and mute despite the blizzard of lies and abuse dispensed to me by the belligerent, manipulative State machinery. Seated and mute. Seated and mute. –Sounds like the beginning of a dark Dr. Seuss ditty. The looming question is: for how long do I decide to retain this right? Because the answer to this question is simple. For how long will I remain comfortable? Bob was forced out by his love for his child.

The same question stalks every normal person, except for sociopaths like Trudeau, Biden, Clinton(s), Johnson et al. Let ye be a doctor, lawyer, Indian Chief, or prestigious ambassador of any sort. Your conscience and your comfort zone will not be saved forever by your own state of paralyzed menticide.

Sooner or later we are all Romanians in the public square and our year is 1989. We will announce all we knew to be true but were afraid to say out loud.

Nearly home I turned on to my street. To my great surprise the city plows and massive snow blowers had come and cleaned everything up. Better late than never I thought. Our taxpayer dollars hard at work. I had forgotten how wide the street was now that all the snow was gone. I had room to move.

  2. Three Members of Hong Kong Pro-Democracy Movement Convicted for Remembering Tiananmen Square Massacre
    By Joe Hoft Mar. 5, 2023 7:45 am13 Comments

Three individuals in Hong Kong have been convicted for their efforts to remember and commemorate those who died in the Tiananmen Square massacre.

The famous Tank-man who stopped the troops from crushing the innocents protesting the CCP in Beijing is one of the most iconic symbols of a man standing for justice and stopping an army. This was taken before the troops entered Tiananmen Square in 1989 under the darkness of night and killed an unknown number of innocent protesters. The whole world was watching as the Square was emptied by force after much hope that the CCP would change its ways.

  3. President Trump was the one candidate who understands the abuse that many Americans have incurred under the Biden regime and he promises to be their voice, their warrior, their justice, and their retribution.

President Trump is aware of the abuse that the Biden regime has inflicted on numerous innocent Americans. At CPAP he promised to be their retribution. This is the promise that no other candidates and potential candidates are saying.

President Trump knows that people have been wronged from not only the 2020 Election but also from the acts on Jan 6 at the Capitol. Many Americans were arrested on charges grotesquely unfair in the D.C. courts.

Most Americans believe that the Feds instigated the Jan 6 protest and made it into a riot. It was coordinated and planned.

There is ample evidence that the Feds were involved. Every day or week more information is coming out that provides more evidence that the Jan 6 riots were planned by the Feds. This week Tucker Carlson is expected to release more information on what his team saw on videos that Speaker McCarthy will let them look at but not release.

All GOP governors should immediately go for paper ballots. President Trump knows that if we don’t have free and fair elections, we don’t have a country.

  4. The UK Lockdown Files: Text Messages Reveal How Top British Health Officials Conspired to “Scare the Pants Off Everyone” and Asking “When Do We Deploy the New Variant?”
    By Richard Abelson Mar. 5, 2023 8:15 am260 Comments

The British Telegraph has obtained 100.000 text messages from former UK Health Secretary Matt Hancock, showing how the British government conspired to “frighten the pants off everyone” and asking “when do we deploy the new variant?”

The Telegraph received the WhatsApp messages from journalist Isabel Oakeshott, who wrote a book with Hancock called “The Pandemic Diaries”. They show former Health Secretary Matt Hancock discussing with his media advised Damon Poole on Dec. 13, 2020, who warned that Tory MPs were “furious already about the prospect” of stricter lockdown measures over Christmas and suggested “rather than doing too much forward signalling we can roll pitch with the new strain.”

“We frighten the pants off everyone with the new strain,” Hancock wrote back.

“Yep that’s what will get proper bahviour [sic] change,” Poole replied.

When do we deploy the new variant?” Hancock asked.

“Been thinking about this and think we need to be more cautious. The strain that is,” Poole wrote back. “Think you made the point earlier, but we need to keep schools off paperwork / agenda.” The Christmas lockdown 2020 was surprisingly announced Dec. 19.

    • the telegraph – The BBC conspired in the campaign of fear that kept Britain locked up

Ministers and the broadcasters treated fighting the virus like a war – justifying the shutdown of all dissent

It wasn’t about science, it was about politics. That was obvious as soon as the government began talking about following The Science as if it were a fixed body of revealed truth. Nobody who knows anything about science could say such a thing unless they were engaged in a deliberately misleading campaign of public coercion.

The sheer absurdity and pointlessness of so many of the restrictions on normal life should have given the game away: this programme was designed to frighten not to inform and to make doubt or scepticism appear morally irresponsible – which is precisely the opposite of what science does. But those of us who decried all this at the time were not just protesting at an intellectual betrayal – the dismantling of a tradition of open argument and rational debate which had created the modern world.

What was being messed with here, often it seems with breathtaking glibness, were the conditions which make life recognisably human: the intimacies and bonds that are the currency of personal relationships and emotional health. Much of this went way beyond what we generally regard as authoritarianism: even the East German Stasi did not forbid children from hugging their grandparents, or outlaw sexual relations between people who lived in different households.

The mass public acceptance of these extraordinary diktats was, initially, not all that surprising. At its outset, this was classed as a temporary emergency. What’s a few weeks (of what was exceptionally pleasant sunny weather) out of a lifetime if it serves to protect yourself and others – and, of course, the National Health Service? But it went on and on – and the longer it went on, the more the population appeared to accept it as a new normal. Even when the damage – especially to the young in both educational and psychological terms – was becoming clear, it went on. It is important to try to understand this.

The model for the monumental government programme in which sitting on a park bench, or meeting with extended family, became a criminal offence was the nation at war. The cooperation and willing sacrifices of the population during the last world war (which was often referred to at the time as “the present emergency”) were clearly the inspiration for the lockdown operation.

The publicity campaigns which normalised – and lauded as virtuous – the acceptance of horrifying levels of social isolation were deliberately designed to present the country as mobilised in a collective effort against a malign enemy. Every other consideration had to be relegated in a heroic national struggle against an invading army whose objective was to kill as many of us as possible. And this enemy was particularly insidious because it was invisible.

The threat now was from the presence of other people who harboured this wicked aggressor inside their bodies. Because the Covid virus was a hostile alien force, it had to be defeated by the same sort of propaganda techniques we would employ against a foreign state.

Of course the analogy was bogus. This “enemy” was not a sentient being with a wicked plan for conquest. It had no objective except that shared by every living organism – to survive and replicate. It was not engaged in some conscious battle for domination from which we must never be seen to flinch.

The suppression of any doubt or conflicting argument is justified in wartime because it can, in the words of the American Constitution, give “aid and comfort to the enemy”. In law and in living reality, it constitutes treason. But Covid was never going to be emboldened by any careless talk in Westminster. Treating anyone – even Carl Heneghan, a professor of evidence-based medicine at Oxford – who cast doubt on official policy as a potentially dangerous subversive was simply outrageous.

What was most alarming was the alacrity with which the broadcast news media fell into line – with boundless enthusiasm – as they were given a key role in the day to day dissemination of government authority. As the medium through which the official information was conveyed – with, as we now know, often misleading modelling projections and outdated death figures – they went from being public service news media to what the BBC notably has always insisted it is not: state broadcasters. From disinterested journalism to Pravda in a single bound.

Certainly it was the duty of the news broadcasters to present what government officials wanted to tell the country. But did they need to ban – and sometimes implicitly demonise – those who questioned those judgments? Did they have to join in with the metaphorical stoning of any dissident – even Lord Sumption, a former Supreme Court justice – who suggested that the suppression of basic liberties was unacceptable?

If this crisis was as severe as we were being told, wasn’t it vitally important that every source of expertise was given a fair hearing? Or was the appearance of unity considered so vital that it overrode everything – even sometimes the facts? Perhaps the worst effect of all this uncritical coverage was that government ministers, having manipulated public opinion into a frenzy of anxiety and potential guilt, then found themselves trapped in the national mood they had created.

How could we not have seen the consequences coming? How could anyone who has raised children not have foreseen the damage that would likely result when developing infants, growing toddlers, and sensitive adolescents were deprived of all that essential contact with the unfamiliar world beyond their own homes? Let alone the hideous fate of those elderly patients who had to die alone and the interminable grief of their loved ones who were forced to miss the final moments and were even denied the comfort of a full funeral.

What on earth was everybody thinking?

An Indianapolis family defended transgendering children in a recent segment on WRTV.

The mother, Beth Clawson, said she knew her baby was trans before the little boy could even talk.
    Wow.

She defended herself by adding that her baby boy would do things like “wear her sister‘s clothes, pretend that towels her long hair.” So they started transitioning their child who is now only 10 years old.

  6. President Trump Says “He’s Very Happy About Endorsing DeSantis for Governor” – Says It’s Too Early to Discuss Picking Him as a Running Mate
    By Joe Hoft Mar. 5, 2023 9:00 am189 Comments

President Trump answered a number of questions last night at CPAC – something Joe Biden cannot and will not ever do. He answered some direct questions regarding Ron DeSantis, which many were eager to ask.

A young reporter from the Daily Caller asked President Trump a question if he regretted backing Ron DeSantis for governor of Florida. Trump had no problems answering the question.

“If Ron DeSantis is such a fraud, why did you endorse him for governor? Did you make a mistake?” Daily Caller’s White House Correspondent Diana Glebova asked Trump at CPAC Saturday.

“I’m very happy I endorsed him for governor, because the alternative would’ve been very bad. He was a disaster as it turned out — the alternative would’ve been very bad. Florida’s doing — Florida’s done well for a long time, and I’m very happy about that,” Trump responded.

  7. Thousands of Belgian Farmers Join Protest Against Globalist Reset Plans
    By Margaret Flavin Mar. 5, 2023 9:40 am91 Comments

Last summer, thousands of Dutch farmers protested new Nitrogen rules that will force approx. 30% of Dutch cattle farms out of business, according to government estimates. Farming unions contend that the planned cuts place a heavier burden on agriculture than industry.

On Friday, 2,700 tractors brought traffic in Brussels, Belgium to a standstill as thousands of Belgian farmers joined the protest against the nitrogen emissions limits.

Farmers blocked traffic on a main road in the center of Brussels causing major traffic disruption and gridlock.

Politico reports, “It’s an economic and social catastrophe,” said Nele Kempeneers, a spokesperson for Belgian farmers’ association Boerenbond, one of the unions that organized the protest. “A lot of farms will have to limit the amount of animals that they keep, or simply close down

  8. Business Leader Kevin O’Leary: Blue States Are Becoming ‘Uninvestable’ (VIDEO)
    By Mike LaChance Mar. 5, 2023 10:20 am54 Comments

Kevin O’Leary is an internationally recognized leader and pundit in business and investing. In a few recent media appearances, he has claimed that blue states like Massachusetts, New York, California and others have become uninvestable.

What he means by that is that it is pointless to start a company in these states because they punish success through excessive taxes and punitive regulations. He called out AOC and Elizabeth Warren by name.

He offered concrete examples of companies he has moved to states like South Dakota and other countries.

  9. Investigation into Disturbing Anti-White Texts Circulating in the Staten Island School District
    By Margaret Flavin Mar. 5, 2023 10:40 am42 Comments

City officials are investigating a series of widely circulated anti-white screenshots making their way around the Staten Island School District in New York. The texts promise to get rid of white principals and “clean up this island.”

The New York Post reports that the disturbing commentary has allegedly been linked to District 31 Superintendent Marion Wilson and the screenshots were sent by encrypted email to NYC Schools chancellor David Banks and other Department of Education (DOE) and city personnel.

In a response to The Post, Dr. Wilson has denied writing the texts. She says this is an effort to smear her and claims to be a victim of hacking.

Since the allegations, her Twitter account has been made private.

  10. The Kiyv Independent – NATO commander in Europe: Russia’s losses in Ukraine amount to over 200,000 troops

NATO’s Supreme Allied Commander in Europe, U.S. Army General Christopher Cavoli, said that Russia has lost more than 200,000 troops since the start of its invasion in Ukraine on Feb. 24, 2022, describing the extent of the war as “unbelievable.”

He added that over 1,800 Russian officers were killed or wounded, German magazine Der Spiegel reported.

Cavoli also said that Russia has lost “far more” than 2,000 large battle tanks and that its army fires an average of 23,000 artillery shells per day.

The U.K. Defense Ministry previously estimated that Russia’s army and private mercenary groups have likely lost 175,000-200,000 people in Ukraine, with up to 60,000 killed. According to a report, prisoners recruited by the Kremlin-backed private mercenary Wagner Group have suffered a casualty rate of up to 50%.

“The Russian casualty rate has significantly increased since September 2022 when ‘partial mobilization’ was imposed,” reads the report.

The General Staff of Ukraine’s Armed Forces reported on March 4 that Russia had lost 152,190 troops in Ukraine since the beginning of its full-scale invasion on Feb. 24 last year.

This number includes 820 casualties Russian forces suffered just over the past day.

Yahoo News – Russia’s losses amount to 200,000 people, 1800 officers killed and wounded Supreme Allied Commander Europe

Over 200,000 Russian soldiers and more than 1,800 officers have been either killed or wounded since the beginning of the Russian invasion of Ukraine last February.

Source: Christopher Cavoli, Supreme Allied Commander Europe, as reported by European Pravda, citing Spiegel

Details: Cavoli spoke as a guest of honour at a traditional dinner at Hamburg City Hall and said that “the scale of this war is unbelievable.”

As he states, Russia has lost more than 2,000 tanks and the Russian forces fire over 23,000 artillery shells a day on average.

Cavoli said that after Russia’s attack on Ukraine, NATO must adapt to the new reality.

“If someone comes with a tank, you had better have a tank too. However, one of the lessons of the Cold War is that the accuracy of weapons is what matters. In addition, the production capacity of the defence industry is important. The war is won by the one capable of producing most rapidly,” he said.

At the same time, the NATO general emphasised the importance of civilian leadership: “We have learned from this conflict that civilian leadership is absolutely essential. It can mobilise a nation and inspire partners.”

Earlier, the media reported that on the eve of the summer NATO summit in Vilnius, Lithuania, a dispute is brewing over Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg’s suggestion to increase defence spending by individual countries.

BBC – Ukraine war: Russian reservists fighting with shovels – UK defence ministry

Russian reservists are likely using “shovels” for “hand-to-hand” combat in Ukraine due to a shortage of ammunition, the UK’s Ministry of Defence says.

In late February, reservists described being ordered to assault a Ukrainian position “armed with only ‘firearms and shovels'”, the ministry said in its latest intelligence update.

It mentioned a shovel known as MPL-50.

The tool was designed in 1869 and had changed little, the ministry said.

“The lethality of the standard-issue MPL-50 entrenching tool is particularly mythologised in Russia,” the ministry said.

The continued use of the shovel “as a weapon highlights the brutal and low-tech fighting which has come to characterise much of the war”, it said.

One of the reservists described being “neither physically nor psychologically” prepared for the action, the update added.

“Recent evidence suggests an increase in close combat in Ukraine,” it said.

“This is probably a result of the Russian command continuing to insist on offensive action largely consisting of dismounted infantry, with less support from artillery fire because Russia is short of munitions.”

The BBC has been unable to independently verify these reports. The ministry did not give information on where such battles were taking place.

  11. redacted – Oh SH*T, vaccine passports just got VERY real

The World Health Organization is pushing for global vaccine passports at the same time they are pushing for global pandemic powers through the CA+ treaty we have been discussing.

Reclaim the Net published dozens of edits to this document from various countries.

This would establish vaccine passports that would be digital and paper records of your health records, your travel history, your vaccination status for ALL vaccines and an assessment of your threat level based on various data points about you.

These would be readable and shareable by all WHO countries across the globe and it could be used to stop you or your luggage from crossing borders.

This gives WHO nations the power to detain you, stop you, require a medical exam on the spot, quarantine you and place you under observation.

They could also take possession of your luggage or other possessions.

These powers are being justified because countries could not validate one another’s Covid tests or vaccines during the pandemic.

    • MARCH 03 2023 – Africa CDC Promises Smooth Leadership Transition, Expands COVID Vaccination Campaign to Include Other Vaccines

No date has yet been set for the recently-elected Director General of the Africa Centres for Disease Control and Prevention (Africa CDC) Jean Kaseya to take over his new tasks, said acting director Dr Ahmed Ogwell Ouma on Thursday.

But he promised that the transition period would be a smooth one, saying: “After the decision by the African Union summit, there are internal processes that continue to be done. And as soon as those have been completed, you will be hearing from us.

“Suffice to say that we are in a transition period and Africa CDC continues to work until the incoming leadership is in place,” Ouma told Health Policy Watch at a press briefing on Thursday.

Kaseya was electeed as Africa CDC’s new head, in late February on the sidelines of the 36th session of the African Union. A Democratic Republic of Congo national with a seasoned international health career, he beat 179 other candidates, including Ouma, who had been appointed as acting director following the departure of John Nkengasong in May 2022, to head the US President’s Emergency Plan For AIDS Relief (PEPFAR).

Africa CDC pivots COVID-19 vaccine campaign to broader aims

Meanwhile, Ouma said that the agency has also extended its COVID-19 vaccination acceleration campaign, the Bingwa Initiative, which was due to end in April, until the end of 2023.

That comes even as multiple countries in eastern and southern Africa battle a prolonged cholera outbreak, which WHO has blamed on excessive flooding.

Launched in April 2022, the COVID-19 vaccine acceleration campaign originally aimed to have 100 million African citizens vaccinated by April 2023. But as that goal remains far from being achieved, Africa CDC is now also striving to expand the initiative’s scope, Ouma said.

Going forward, the initiative, supported by the MasterCard Foundation, the German Development Cooperation Project, UNICEF and others, will not only be utilized to promote COVID-19 vaccination but to promote immunization against other vaccine-preventable diseases, harnessing the energies of a new Africa CDC youth advisory team, he said.

“We are extending the Bingwa initiative at least until the end of the year. In fact, we are not only going to utilize this initiative for COVID-19 vaccination, which is the primary objective, but we are going to utilize it for health in general. It is part of the reason why I set up the youth advisory team for health so that we can be able to bring the youth into our work, our strategizing as Africa CDC.”

Training of the initiative’s ambassadors is set to begin in South Sudan, in addition to central and western African regions in the coming weeks, he added. “We want to be sure that the youth are firmly part of all our community-based activities going forward as far as leadership is concerned,” he added.

  12. redacted – The Deep State is pushing the U.S. to war over this LIE

    • MARCH 03 2023 – U.S. Government Invested $31.9 Billion in mRNA Vaccine Research and Procurement

A new study published in the BMJ has found that the United States invested at least $31.9 billion in public funds directly into the development, production and purchasing of mRNA COVID-19 vaccines through channels ranging from the National Institutes of Health to the Department of Defense.

That vast pool of U.S. public funding was indispensable to the development of mRNA vaccines that have netted Moderna and Pfizer over $100 billion in sales revenues since their launch, an amount is 20 times greater than the budget of the World Health Organization (WHO) for 2020-21.

The study is based upon an extensive analysis of US government research grants and procurement contracts related to mRNA vaccines or technologies issued between 1985 and March 2022.

The study covered contracts issued by the National Institutes of Health, the Biomedical Advanced Research and Development Authority (BARDA), and the Department of Defense.

Most funds invested in vaccine procurement

While the overwhelming majority of the $31.9 billion in funds was invested in the heat of the pandemic, at least $337 million was invested in mRNA related science before SARS-CoV2 emerged.

That research, conducted between 1985 and 2019, resulted in the discovery of indispensable precursor technologies to mRNA vaccines including lipid nanoparticles, mRNA modification and synthesis, pre-fusion spike proteins, and mRNA vaccine biotechnology.

Pre-pandemic, the NIH invested $116m (35%) in basic and translational science related to mRNA vaccine technology, and the Biomedical Advanced Research and Development Authority (BARDA) ($148m; 44%) and the Department of Defense ($72m; 21%) invested in vaccine development.

“The pre-pandemic investments are conservative and likely much higher than $337 million,” said Dr Hussain Lalani, lead author of the study.

Altogether, the study identified 34 NIH research grants directly related to mRNA COVID-19 vaccines.

An additional $5.9 billion in U.S. financing contributed indirectly to the development of mRNA technology.

The resulting vaccines are recognized as among THE MOST EFFECTIVE JABS against the SARS-CoV2 virus.

After the onset of the pandemic, $29.2bn (92%) of US public funds went to vaccine procurement, $2.2bn (7%) supported clinical trials, and $108m (<1%) supported manufacturing plus basic and translational science.

“[This is] the largest public investment for a disease ever,” Lalani said.

Risks were socialized while financial rewards were privatized

The speed of vaccine development in response to the COVID-19 threat is unprecedented in vaccine science. In their first year alone, COVID-19 vaccines are estimated to have prevented 20 million deaths globally, including 1.1 million in the US.

“In making health and protection possible amid a deadly pandemic, the mRNA COVID-19 vaccines have been a remarkable achievement,” writes Victory Roy, a fellow at Yale Medical School who authored the BMJ editorial that accompanied the study.

“However, their development also serves as a cautionary tale of a system in which the risks of pursuing innovation were socialized while the lion’s share of rewards became privatized to corporate shareholders … who risked little of their capital in the development process.”

Both Moderna and Pfizer plan to sell their vaccines at over $110 per dose in the U.S. once freed of their government contracts. Their estimated production cost is just $1-3 per dose.

      Research or share buy-backs?

A significant portion of the vaccine-derived profits, Roy points out, are not being reinvested into medical research and development. Between 2021 and 2022, Moderna has announced or executed $7 billion in share buybacks – $3 billion more than it has spent on research and development.

Pfizer, meanwhile, spent $115 billion on shareholder payouts in the decade before the pandemic, $34 billion more than it invested in its R&D division.

“Without public investment, there would be no mRNA vaccines,” said People’s Vaccine Alliance policy co-lead Mogha Kamal-Yanni in reaction to the study. “Pharmaceutical companies have sold a false narrative to the public: that it was their investment which gave us mRNA vaccines, and that they deserve the $75 billion profit made from COVID-19 vaccines.

“As this research shows, that claim is a total myth,” she said.

      What’s the counter?

The UN World Intellectual Property Organization’s 2022 report estimates the social benefit of COVID-19 vaccines – which includes the value of lives saved, health problems avoided, and economic costs of mitigation measures – at $70.5 trillion annually, or 887 times estimated private sector revenues of $130.5 billion.

Pharmaceutical companies also point to the significant risk that came with following the mRNA route. Now seen as a game changer, the technology was unproven heading into the pandemic. Smaller companies like BioNtech, which had accumulated over $400 million in debt since its founding in 2008, ran the risk of collapsing if its vaccine did not succeed.

And that risk was real. Of the four largest pre-pandemic vaccine companies, three of them – GSK, Sanofi and MSD – failed to produce a successful vaccine by 2021. Novavax, whose vaccine was approved for emergency use in December 2021, raised doubts this week about its ability to remain in business, highlighting the boom-or-bust nature of vaccine development.

      The medical upside of mRNA

The risk taken in pursuing mRNA technology for developing COVID-19 vaccines has also played a significant role in mainstreaming mRNA as a platform. The medical upside, some researchers believe, could be revolutionary.

“Some experts believe that we are entering a new era with mRNA technology and the promise of regenerative medicine and personalized cancer vaccines on the horizon,” the BMJ study on U.S. vaccine spending said. “Hundreds of new products incorporating this technology using mRNA synthesis and lipid nanoparticles are being tested.”

The world’s first universal mRNA influenza vaccine, for example, which would be effective against all known types of influenze, is already being tested in animals and has shown promising results. In late 2022, researchers at Moderna and Merck announced they would move forward with efforts to pursue a personalized mRNA cancer vaccine for high-risk melanoma patients.

“Today’s results are highly encouraging for the field of cancer treatment,” said Stéphane Bancel, Moderna’s Chief Executive Officer said of the December Phase 2 trial. “mRNA has been transformative for COVID-19, and now, for the first time ever, we have demonstrated the potential for mRNA to have an impact on outcomes in a randomized clinical trial in melanoma.”

Asked about Moderna’s proposed 130$ price point for its COVID-19 vaccine by the Wall Street Journal, Bancel said of the 400% price hike, “I would think this type of pricing is consistent with the value.”

  13. Democrat Biden Challenger Marianne Williamson Says the DNC Is “Rigging” The System for Biden
    By Anthony Scott Mar. 5, 2023 11:45 am80 Comments

The Democratic Party has made it clear that it will stand behind Biden in a re-election bid.

Although Biden has yet to formally announce he’s running, it’s anticipated he will make the announcement in the upcoming months.

Despite Biden not officially announcing he’s running, one Democratic challenger has already launched her campaign.

The Gateway Pundit reported on Saturday self-help author Marianna Williamson is officially running against Biden in the 2024 Democratic primary.

In her most recent exclusive interview with ABC News Williamson took a step further and told ABC reporter Johnathan Karl “The DNC should not be rigging the system. They don’t even pretend anymore.”

Karl would shoot back quickly “So that’s what’s going on, they’re rigging the system for Biden?”

To which Williamson responded “They even admit that, Jonathan.”

    • HELP US!!”: Southern California Mountain Residents Go Into Survival Mode After Snowpocalypse

      SUNDAY, MAR 05, 2023 – 12:00 PM
While Southern California’s major mountain towns have been largely plowed following last week’s powerful winter storm, residents of smaller mountain communities, particularly those living in the outskirts, have gone into survival mode.

The only way I could describe this is like if we had an avalanche fall over the San Bernardino Mountains and we’re just stuck,” Lake Arrowhead resident Pablo Tello told KABC.

Roads remain impassible as people make the cold trek in search of needed supplies.

Gordon walked a mile to and from his home looking for food.

Crestline’s only grocery store, Goodwin & Sons Market, was destroyed after its roof collapsed under the weight of snow. -KABC

It’s so much snow, there’s nowhere to put it,” Crestline, CA resident James Gordon told KABC. “I’ve been up on this mountain my whole life from Big Bear to here in Crestline, and this is the worst storm I’ve seen in 30 some odd years I’ve been up here.”

“We only stay stocked up for maybe three or four days, and the grocery store is just down the street, so we’re like it’s not a big deal, but then when the grocery store collapsed and all these trees are snapping and we’re in and out of power it’s real hard right now,” he added.

The enormity of this event is hard to comprehend,” said state Assemblyman Tom Lackey. “You know, we’re thinking, ‘We’re in Southern California,’ but yet we have had an inundation that has really, really generated a severe amount of anxiety, frustration and difficulty, especially to the victims and those who are actually trapped in their own home.”

Shelah Riggs said the street she lives on in Crestline hasn’t seen a snowplow in eight days, leaving people in about 80 homes along the roadway with nowhere to go. Typically, a plow comes every day or two when it snows, she said. -FoxLA

“We are covered with five or six feet (1.5 or 1.8 meters); nobody can get out of their driveways at all,” said Riggs in a telephone interview, adding that the county’s response has been “horrible” and that “people are really angry.”

  15. The $3 Trillion SubStack on How to Destroy Pfizer in Court

Brook Jackson’s attorney, Robert Barnes, had a strong day in court last week with the $3 trillion false claims lawsuit against Pfizer, by driving home that Pfizer was contracted to deliver a safe and effective vaccine to prevent SARS-CoV-2 infection. He pointed out to the judge that the contract promises the delivery of a safe and effective vaccine under FDA laws more than a half-dozen times.

I spoke to Brook’s attorney Warner Mendenhall in July of 2022 who asked my opinion on Pfizer’s motion to dismiss. I stated that you can’t contract to commit a crime. Pfizer was contracted to deliver a safe and effective vaccine.

Since the summer of last year, I’ve stated that under the Operation Warp Speed (OWS) contract, the US military contracted with Pfizer to “deliver a safe and effective vaccine capable of providing protection against SARS-CoV-2 and related coronaviruses (variants) subject to FDA technical, clinical and regulatory success (laws and guidance)” AND in compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices. Pfizer forfeited their EUA immunity rights under their contract with the DoD under the Trump administration.

Pfizer collaborated with the FDA to lie to the US military, the American people, and President Trump that their mRNA nanoparticle technologies were safe and effective vaccines. In fact, Pfizer knew their mRNA technology would only cause disease, disabilities and death and offer no immunity to the SARS-CoV-2 virus. Per the contract, Pfizer was also in charge of the data of submitted submitted to the DoD, which they clearly falsified per Brook Jackson’s testimony

  17. China increases its military budget by 7.1% – $230BN – to ‘boost combat preparedness’ for ‘major tasks’ amid fears it will launch an invasion of Taiwan
By Helena Kelly For Dailymail.Com and Associated

announced it will boost its military budget by nearly $230 billion this year amid concerns it will launch an invasion of Taiwan.

The money is set to ‘boost combat preparedness and enhance military capabilities,’ claimed Premier Li Keqiang ahead of a draft budget presented to the National People’s Congress in Beijing.

It means China’s military spending will grow at its fastest pace in four years and take up a larger share of its economy, marking the reversal of a two-decade trend which has seen the nation prioritize growth over its military capabilities.

Defense expenditure will increase by 7.2 percent in 2023 which works out as $224 billion – way ahead of the 5.7 percent increase in general public expenditure.

The move will no doubt spook the US government which is concerned by Beijing’s strategic intentions in the wake of rising tensions with Taiwan

  18. To Prepare for a Pacific Island Fight, Marines Hide and Attack in California
    March 5, 2023

TWENTYNINE PALMS, Calif. — Sitting around a plastic folding table in a dusty tent, a half-dozen officers of the Hawaii-based 3rd Marine Littoral Regiment took a very short break from days of fighting on little to no sleep.

The war, they said, was going well.

The unit, newly created and innovative in nature, was facing its toughest test yet — a 10-day mock battle across Southern California, where a series of military bases played the role of an island chain. Though outnumbered by the regiment it was fighting, the team from Hawaii had an edge.

The team was built to fight on islands and along coastal shorelines, the “littoral region” in military parlance. It had also been given special equipment and the freedom to innovate, developing new tactics to figure out one of the service’s highest priorities: how to fight a war against Chinese forces in their own backyard, and win.

Although far from the ocean, the base at Twentynine Palms offers about 1,200 square miles to train, more than all of the Marine Corps’ other training bases combined. Days ago the two sides were dropped off here about 12 miles from each other. Then it was time to fight.

No live ammunition was used, but that was essentially the only rule. Evaluators alongside them graded everything they did, assessing hits and misses and pulling troops out of the action when they had been “killed.”

Over the next two years, the new unit will have a relentless schedule, with about four or five times as many exercises as most infantry regiments. Its next big test will be in the Philippines in April.

The Marines anticipate a very different kind of battlefield in the future than those of the post-9/11 wars. Today, enemy and civilian spy satellites alike fly overhead and anyone turning on a small radio or cellphone can be targeted with long-range rockets and missiles.

“We have to unlearn the way that we were trained,” said Gen. David H. Berger, the service’s top general, noting that 20 years ago, infantry Marines in the field typically called their commanders via radio on the hour every hour. “You have to have an incredible amount of trust when you haven’t heard from your Marines for several days.”

The exercise is essentially a life and death version of hide and seek, with far-flung military bases in California — at Barstow, Camp Pendleton, Twentynine Palms and an outpost on San Clemente Island about 70 miles offshore from San Diego — all standing in for an unnamed Pacific Island chain.

With America’s relations with China deteriorating over Beijing’s actions — most recently due to its aggressive moves on Taiwan, its attempts to intimidate Japan, its violation of U.S. airspace with a spy balloon and its support for Russia’s invasion of Ukraine — the mission of preparing for a potential future conflict in Pacific island chains was important enough that about a half-dozen generals, including the Marine commandant, came to see the results of the exercise for themselves.

“Each year they are expanding their deployments,” General Berger said of the Chinese naval forces in an interview. “Not only in terms of the complexity of them but also the distances they cover.”

China’s navy, General Berger said, was now taking a page from the U.S. Navy, operating in strike groups, with destroyers and other warships escorting an aircraft carrier.

The littoral Marines may serve as spotters who pass along the position of enemy forces to American warplanes, ships or submarines to attack. Or, the Marines could take those shots themselves.

They are learning how to place networked sensors that monitor tiny fluctuations in the electromagnetic spectrum — from walkie-talkies, radars and other transmitters — to find enemy troops, using classified surveillance technologies previously available only to three-star generals.

To fight in that part of the world, General Berger created the 3rd Marine Littoral Regiment as a fighting unit unlike any other. Instead of having three infantry battalions of roughly 800 Marines each, it has one — the other two are ideas borrowed from much larger task forces: an antiaircraft battalion that is testing new weapons and tactics, and a logistics battalion.

The unit includes a communications section more than 50 percent larger than that of a typical regiment, including several chief warrant officers with combat experience from Marine Forces Special Operations Command.

Those specialists introduced the other Marines to new ways of thinking as well as technologies developed for covert operations — bouncing signals off layers of the atmosphere or using directional beams of infrared light that are difficult to detect, in short bursts carrying large amounts of digital text.

Military planners assume that any potential future battle with China may take place in what the Pentagon often refers to as the “first island chain,” which includes Okinawa and Taiwan down to Malaysia as well as the South China Sea and disputed islands in the Spratlys and the Paracels.

By the time General Berger arrived at Twentynine Palms, the colonel commanding the 3rd Marine Littoral Regiment had pulled his troops back from the other bases across Southern California for a final battle, using CH-53 helicopters and Osprey tilt-rotor aircraft, just like he would if they were on actual islands. In a real conflict, he would move Marines around the Pacific via small ships as well.

The visiting delegation of Marine leaders had to stay in Camp Wilson, just outside the training area, and the only participants they could speak with were the majors and lieutenant colonels running backup command posts in off-limits areas guarded by concertina wire and armed Marines.

As the battle went on, tired and sunburned senior officers from the 7th Marine Regiment — who have been playing the role of the enemy — offered up an assessment of their foe from their reserve command post. Every time the other side sent up a small quadcopter — and it did so often — at least some of their Marines had to stop what they were doing to visually keep tabs on them or to shoot them down. Even unarmed drones made the leaders’ jobs more difficult.

The 7th Marines usually quickly overwhelm opponents here. Twentynine Palms is their home turf, but the unit from Hawaii were keeping them at bay.

They especially did not like their opponents’ “loitering munitions” — small attack drones that can fly over an enemy’s position, beaming back video surveillance, then head directly at a target so that a small warhead explodes on impact. They were proving effective in destroying high-value targets like armored vehicles and anything that looked like a command post.

The Marines from the 7th wished they had them too.

These Marines have been closely watching how combatants in Ukraine use such tiny drones and loitering munitions. When General Berger visited an air station in nearby Yuma, Ariz., the next day, a Marine fighter pilot said his unit was evaluating counter-drone technologies so that his fellow Marines wouldn’t one day “end up as TikTok videos” — a nod to the stream of videos on social media sites showing Russian troops being attacked by Ukrainian quadcopters dropping small grenades.

If called upon to fight in the Western Pacific, the Marines will likely also make use of their most capable drones: the MQ-9 Reaper, which can drop bombs and fire missiles but is most valued for its ability to beam back information.

In Yuma, Marines are flying the Corps’ first two Reapers, which can take off from runways just 3,000 feet long — which means smaller islands can host them, greatly expanding their reach and making it more difficult for a potential adversary to find their airfields.

The Marines’ version of the F-35 fighter, which buzzed overhead in Yuma, will be part of any future Pacific campaign as well. It can take off and land vertically, making it capable of launching airstrikes from even smaller islands.

    At Twentynine Palms, the

colonels commanding both regiments scanned for any signal — anything — that could tip them off to their adversary’s location. So the Marines in the field hid themselves physically and electronically the best they could.

The littoral regiment occasionally broke cover to use one of its signature weapons for an island fight, a missile that can hit ships more than 100 miles away and is launched from the back of a small truck — easy to move, hard to detect.

General Berger said that many of those strategic points in the ocean, and many of the islands that can cover them, have already been identified and written into contingency plans by the U.S. Indo-Pacific Command in Hawaii.

In the end, the 3rd Marine Littoral Regiment remained in control of its terrain and had fended off their opponents — which they considered a victory.

All of the work done so far in Hawaii and California will soon benefit a new unit, the 12th Marine Littoral Regiment, which military leaders have said will be established in Okinawa in 2025.

That unit, based in Japan, will be the closest to the island chains stretching many thousands of miles across the Pacific, which could become battlefields once again.

Counter battery radar requiring shoot and scoot artillery barrages. Better camo because of recon drones. They are also predicting hand held antiaircraft weapons to take out low flying recon drones.

Their predictions of a return to medium caliber full velocity rifle rounds to defeat the enemies body armor have already been proven correct with the US moving to adopt a new 6.5 mm rifle rounds.)

  20. Polk County, Florida Sheriff Grady Judd Embarrasses Reporter Who Asks How New Gang Task Force Can “Help Gang Members” Instead of Arresting Them
    By Margaret Flavin Mar. 5, 2023 2:20 pm0 Comments

Polk County, Florida, Sheriff Grady Judd has built a reputation of straight talk and being tough on crime.

During the aftermath of Hurricane Ian, Grady told homeowners facing looters during the tragedy, “I would highly suggest that if a looter breaks into your home, comes into your home while you’re there to steal stuff, that you take your gun and you shoot him – you shoot him so he looks like grated cheese.”

On the failures of law enforcement to protect children in Uvalde, Texas, Grady said,“If you come to a school in this county, armed, we’re going to do our best through either our guardians, our school resource officers, or our school resource deputy sheriffs to eliminate the threat outside of the school before they ever get to the children. We’re trained to do that.”

Sheriff Grady is back with more tough talk when it comes to the new gang task force created in the county and in response to a reporter’s question about why a warm and fuzzy approaches to violent gang bangers is not more prevalent.

Court Strikes Down Biden’s ‘Ghost Gun Rule’
    Tyler Durden’s Photo
    BY TYLER DURDEN
    SUNDAY, MAR 05, 2023 – 02:00 PM
Defense Distributed’s Case in US District Court, VanDerStrok v. Garland was just granted a preliminary injunction. The lawsuit is challenging the scope of ATF’s ability to change the definition of firearms.

According to court documents, ATF did not analyze their “Frame or Receiver Rule,” also known as Biden’s Ghost Gun Rule, under the Supreme Court’s NYSRPA v. Bruen decision.

For those unaware, the Bruen decision completely changed the legal landscape of firearms law in the US by requiring statutes regulating firearms to be rooted in the text, history, and tradition of the Second Amendment.

The Judge in the case concurred with the statement and granted Defense Distributed a preliminary injunction. The case now heads to the 5th Circuit, where ATF will have to defend its position.

The 5th Circuit has recently ruled against the ATF in similar cases, including Cargill v. Garland. In that case, a panel of judges decided that ATF did not have the power to determine bump stocks were in fact machine guns contrary to ATF’s 2019 Bump Stock rule. That rule effectively banned bump stock devices by classifying them as machine guns.

The decision in VanDerStok v. Garland could have major effects on the self-manufacturing of firearms and the ATF’s rulemaking and regulatory abilities as ATF has rewritten the federal statute to enforce their rulemaking. According to the court filings, the plaintiffs argue that only congress can rewrite federal statue to make law, not regulatory agencies like ATF.

Defense Distributed had this to say:

“This is not just a blow to ATF, who pushed a new definition of ‘firearm’ at their peril. It is also a defeat for Giffords, who were the agents of this illegal attempt to expand the Gun Control Act through the APA process. Their lobbying and regulatory laundry has now spectacularly backfired.”

Defense Distributed has a history of victory against the Federal Government. In 2018, they won their case Defense Distributed v. US Dept. of State, effectively creating the current legal landscape with 3D-printed firearms and their respective CAD files shared online.

Gun rights activists should watch this case as it goes through the courts.

  22. According to Professor ‘How We Eat Our Chicken’ is a Racial Issue
    By Margaret Flavin Mar. 5, 2023 2:40 pm164 Comments

Erika Abad, a Nevada State College professor and an alumna of DePaul University in Chicago, shares that, in a world where everything is racially motivated, even how we eat our chicken is a racial issue.

Abad suggests that “specific food and specific aromas” are radicalized and that even that different perfumes have racial connotations. Abad states, “All of these smells hint at otherness or assimilation in ways that complement a colorist aesthetic that lends us and prompts us to lean closer to whiteness.”

According to Abad, “how we eat our chicken” and “the level of salt in our food” is racially motivated.

Abad presented the bizarre take during a presentation to DePaul alumni as part of a series called “Perspectives on Racial Justice.”

A leftist vandalized the Ronald Reagan Library in Simi Valley, California ahead of Ron DeSantis’ visit.

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis will be visiting the Ronald Reagan Library in Los Angeles to promote his new book ahead of his fundraiser in Orange County on Sunday.

A vandal sprayed “Ron DeFascist” in black spray paint the night before DeSantis’ visit.

Simi Valley Police are asking the public for help with any information on the vandalism.

    KTLA reported:

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis will be visiting the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library in Simi Valley on Sunday, but he has not received the warmest welcome by at least one vandal.

According to the Simi Valley Police Department, library employees spotted graffiti on one of the library’s entrance signs around 7:30 a.m. Sunday morning, hours before DeSantis was scheduled to appear to promote his new book.
