Tonight is the first ever Freedom Day Eve for Canada

Today is the first anniversary of the evening before the Freedom Convoy officially started in Ottawa, which was on January 29th

In fact, there was already many people in front of the Hill and around the area of Parliament even a few days in advance. But on the evening before the 29th, the atmosphere was set. Hope. Pride. Connection between Canadians and while it included all people from whatever subgroup they identified with, I think the connection between people from Quebec and all other provinces was never stronger than it was those three weeks.

There is nothing like a tyrant to unite all his victims.

Below a few of the videos we shot on January 28th. I wonder if this inspires the same powerful feelings of love, hope and connection that it brings to me when I watch them, and certainly when i was there shooting these videos.

One thing is for sure. Someday, the forces of genuine liberalism might win. Freedom and individual rights and the right and ability to maintain those rights within boundaries like national borders could be restored. Of course with that, must come the right for individuals to protect themselves from criminals and even governments with the use of force, and force multipliers.

But Freedom day, and Freedom Day Eve, must always be maintained by the people and never government. The fight against tyranny is a fight against a state that has run amok. And if freedom is to be preserved, it must be preserved by remembering and understanding the rights of the individual and what threatens those rights. And when governments take over celebrations, rituals and culture, you get what we have today.

I hope that every year, Freedom day and Freedom Day eve, is always celebrated by the people. And serves as a reminder to government that there are limits to what they can make us do, and stop us from doing.

  1. What is expected for tonight and tomorrow in Ottawa? People gathering at the hill again on Wellington?

  2. Walking up Bank street towards Parliament Hill yesterday we heard someone shouting behind us. A short little crazy lady was blurting unintelligible gobbledegook. Gobbledegook. What a great word. It’s as much an onomatopoeia. For that matter “onomatopoeia” would be an even greater word if it, too, were an onomatopoeia, which I don’t think it is, but now I’m getting lost in words, which is sort of fitting because the Left gets us lost in words all the time. The Left is so good at twisting words. My theory is that commies became good at words because they were already idly rich, and so had the spare time to play with words, or were poor but too lazy to get a job so discovered they could fuck up everyone else who was working. Sort of like the sport of lazy clever bastards who hate themselves so much they take it out on others. Some day the Left will convince us that the word “chair” is an onomatopoeia just to confuse us more. Don’t laugh–it can do it. I bet Gobbledegook was coined by a perfectly sane person. I looked it up:
“…Gobbledygook, coined by Maury Maverick in the early 1940s, means, in his words, “talk or writing which is long, pompous, vague, involved, usually with Latinized words.” It can also refer to any long discourse, even one with simple words, if those words are repeated repeatedly, over and over again, numbingly, …”

A man walking beside us said the short little crazy lady needed to be institutionalized. I replied it was just sad to watch as she passed ahead of us. She clearly wasn’t getting enough help.

If I had the chops to coin a word in the here and the now I would invent one that described what we saw yesterday.

At Wellington and Bank four or five police cars sat idling. One of the cars displayed the city name Kingston, which is a nice city half way to Toronto. Another car showed it was from the provincial police. We wondered why Ottawa police felt the need to bring reinforcements from out of town despite Ottawa having no less than four police forces already. Huge concrete barriers block Wellington, still, in defense against racist white men in big trucks returning to town one year later. Truck. Truck. Nope, not a sound word. Honk–honk. Yup.

Continuing up the street we noticed all the flags were at half mast except the one atop the Peace tower. Dear Leader kept flags at half mast for the longest time last year to commemorate some woke thing that I forget now. Maybe it was something to do with natives, for whom he cares deeply. He is an empath, you know. He feels what we feel. I know he does because one year ago he felt the alienation of the protesters on Parliament Hill so strongly that he ran away and hid at the state cottage. He didn’t say it, but I think he alienated himself in solidarity. I know this is likely because I’ve seen him cry in public. There is no bottom to the well of that man’s emotions. I resent when people suggest he is a CCP asset. They say he compromised because the CCP has dirt on him. Maybe they caught him with his pants at half mast, they say. How dare they. Liars, liars, half-mast pants on fire.

Packs of police in their fluorescent vests patrolled the street. Unmarked vans idled everywhere. I forgot to check if there were snipers on the roof tops like there were last year. Maybe Dear Leader told them to keep things low key for the anniversary. “…Put the police horses on the roofs…” he ordered. “…We don’t need a repeat performance…” He is so creative.

I guessed there were a couple hundred people at the eternal flame. I had hoped a few more would show up. Like maybe a couple of million brandishing pitchforks and torches, burning things in effigy. But never mind, that’s just me and my silly, melodramatic imagination talking.

While we were standing there taking things in I heard a woman nearby speaking German. German, eh, thought I. Hmm. And then it struck me that there are no coincidences, and that the word “gobbledegook” must be a translation, or a derivation from the German “Eat Zee Stuff!” “–Gobble Zee Gook!” get it?  That’s no doubt what the Nazis shouted at gypsies, cripples, homosexuals and Jews back in the day. I now heard it clearly in my mind’s ear, and everything started making perfect sense. Not to sound immodest, but I think my IQ has increased a few points since I started taking those N-Acetyle-L-Cysteine (NAC) supplements. I watched that German woman like a hawk. She was quite animated and passionate in whatever she was saying to the person next to her. I also got the distinct impression the other person didn’t speak a word of German. I don’t miss a trick since I’m on NAC. I thought the German woman wasn’t getting enough help, either.

Walking away from the Hill back to the car we were feeling peckish, so stopped for a donair. Donair. Donair. Nope. The woman who made our food had an accent so thick I asked her more than once to repeat herself. I think it irritated her. Her head was covered by a scarf. Scarf. At the table next to us the people were speaking a language that was not French, and that I didn’t recognize.

We gobbled our gook then went home. Maybe there will be more people on the Hill today. Maybe if I double my NAC dosage I can invent a word to describe the Canada I see.

    • Raycyst! g- -k is the n-word for dog-eaters. gobbledyg- -k is just an attempt at obfuscation!

      I had to look up “donair” even though I’ve been to Halifax. Well, even if I ate meat, it combines milk with meat, so no-go. Did you check to make sure it’s not halal?? {shudder}

      I don’t know about that NAC…
      Remember Vit-E poisoning?
Prophylaxis is not risk free. The baby aspirin I was taking to ward off clots- from the -sh!t lit up my lab test report.

      Just say no.

          • Thank you for reading this one, Yucki, I thought it turned out well. Donairs are not our regular thing, for sure, but I made an exception because the boys were both whining about how hungry they were.

  3. Drone attack targets Iranian defence factory as global tensions rise
Isfahan blast came as refinery fire broke out in country’s north-west and 5.9-magnitude quake hit

Bomb-carrying drones targeted an Iranian defence factory in the central city of Isfahan overnight, authorities have said, causing damage at the plant amid heightened regional and international tensions engulfing the Islamic Republic.

The Iranian defence ministry offered no information on who it suspected carried out the attack, which came as a refinery fire separately broke out in the country’s north-west and a 5.9-magnitude earthquake struck nearby, killing three people.

Tehran has been targeted by suspected Israeli drone strikes amid a shadow war with its Middle Eastern rival as its nuclear deal with world powers collapsed. Meanwhile, tensions remain high with neighbouring Azerbaijan after a gunman attacked that country’s embassy in Tehran, killing its security chief and wounding two others.

Details on the Isfahan attack, which happened at about 11.30pm on Saturday, remained scarce. A defence ministry statement described three drones being launched at the facility, with two of them successfully shot down. A third apparently struck the building,

DUBAI, United Arab Emirates (AP) — Bomb-carrying drones targeted an Iranian defense factory in the central city of Isfahan overnight, authorities said early Sunday, causing some damage at the plant amid heightened regional and international tensions engulfing the Islamic Republic.

The Iranian Defense Ministry offered no information on who it suspected carried out the attack, which came as a refinery fire separately broke out in the country’s northwest and a 5.9 magnitude earthquake struck nearby, killing three people.

However, Tehran has been targeted in suspected Israeli drone strikes amid a shadow war with its Mideast rival as its nuclear deal with world powers collapsed. Meanwhile, tensions also remain high with neighboring Azerbaijan after a gunman attacked that country’s embassy in Tehran, killing its security chief and wounding two others.
