Allah hu Ackbars all around in Istanbul over Rasmus and the koran burn

As you all know at this site, Rasmus Paludan did one of his demonstrations next to the Turkish embassy in Stockholm this morning. Amazingly, there was little violence from what we know.

But the Turkish FM had a lot to say about it which seems to have resulted in lots of Allah hu ackbarring in a city that was once the very heart of Christendom.

Putting it gently, one would like to remind the world, and especially the Islamic world of the following. And when considering this, people’s animus towards Islam should really be given latitude.

  2. THE FIRST KORANS BURNED

Muslim scholars pride themselves on the supposed “fact” the Qur’an is supposed to be an unadulterated book straight from the “Prophets” mouth (He was illiterate) and “pure” in their translations through the ages, so even the Qur’an that CAIR will send to people free of charge is filled with the verses of intolerance, hate, and Jihad. Given this, it is indeed strange that there are a dozen or so translations into English and none of them read the same as any other.

Muslims believe the koran was “revealed” to Mohammed, who was, as Moslems insist, illiterate and, therefore, unable to verify the accuracy of the scripts written for him by some volunteering scribes of no high standard. Trusting Mohammed with the koran is a greater blunder than trusting an illiterate person to edit New York Times. With a document as important as the koran, it would not be enough just to assume that the scribes were honest and trustworthy, especially that at least one of them, Abdulla Ibn Abi Al Sarh, admitted that he regularly made changes to the text of the koran without Mohammed even noticing! [1] [1. Ali Dashti, “23 years, a study of ‘Prophetic’ career of Mohammed.”]

Moslems claim that the koran was completely written during Mohammed’s lifetime, but there is no acceptable evidence to support such a claim. It is logical to believe that the koran was not properly written in the first thirteen years of Islam, while Mohammed was still in Mecca because he simply didn’t have the resources to do it. One would expect that writing down the koran might have been Mohammed’s first priority after he assumed power in Medina, but he was too busy in wars to think of it.

This Muslim narrative is to be found in a Hadith from Sahih Bukhari Volume 6, Book 61, Number 510

(According to the Koran and the stated beliefs of Islam, the Koran is an unedited and unchanged, single source manuscript, told to the illiterate Mohammad over his adult lifetime by the “Angel Gabriel” (Jibral). Supposedly unlike the Books of the Holy Bible and the Torah which were written over many centuries by many different authors.)

After the death of Mohamad, there were different opinions as who was to lead the Muslims, they developed into the beginnings of the many different sects and varying ‘schools of thought’ in the practice of Islam. As early as the third Caliph, Uthman ibn Affan the many different sects of Islam had differing versions of the Koran.
Uthman is perhaps best known for forming the committee, which produced multiple copies of the text of the Qur’an, as it exists today. The reason was that various Muslim centers, like Kufa and Damascus, had begun to develop their own traditions for reciting the Qur’an and writing it down with stylistic differences.

This copy of the Qur’an is believed to be one of the oldest, compiled during the Caliph Uthman’s reign.
During the time of Uthman, by which time Islam had spread far and wide, the differences in reading the Quran in different dialects of Arabic language became obvious. A group of companions, headed by Hudhayfah ibn al-Yaman, who was then stationed in Iraq, came to Uthman and urged him to “Save the Muslim Ummah before they differ about the Quran”. Uthman obtained the complete manuscript of the Qur’an from Hazrat Hafsah, one of the wives of the Islamic prophet Muhammad who had been entrusted to keep the manuscript ever since the first Caliph, Abu Bakr, comprehensively compiled the Qur’an. Uthman then again summoned the leading compiling authority, Zayd ibn Thabit, and some other companions to make copies of the manuscript. Zayd was put in charge of the task. The style of Arabic dialect used was that of the Quraysh tribe to which the Prophet Muhammad belonged. Hence, this style was emphasized over all others.

Zayd and his assistants produced several copies of the manuscript of the Qur’an. One of each was sent to every Muslim province with the order that all other Quranic materials, whether fragmentary or complete copies, be destroyed. As such, when the standard copies were made widely available to the Muslim community everywhere, then all other material was burnt voluntarily by the Muslim community themselves. The annihilation of these extra-Qur’anic documents remained essential in order to eradicate scriptural incongruities, contradictions of consequence or differences in the dialect from the customary text of the Qur’an. The Caliph Uthman kept a copy for himself and returned the original manuscript to Hafsah.

While Shi’a and Sunni accept the same “sacred” text in the Qur’an, some claim that Shi’a dispute the current version, i.e. they add two additional Surahs known as “al-Nurayn” and “al-Wilaya”. Nonetheless, Shi’ites claim that they are falsely accused of this, as they believe, like the Sunnis, that the Qur’an has never been changed and it is with reference from Sunni hadith books that this inference is drawn not only by uninformed Shi’as but Sunnis too.

People have been burning the Quran since the early days of Islam, but they haven’t always been its “enemies”.

The third caliph, Uthman, became famous, or rather infamous, for Quran burning. Distressing reports had filtered to him from battlefield generals who were fighting against the Armenians and other nations on the edge of his burgeoning Islamic empire: different versions of the Quran were overheard being recited.

Caliph Uthman had a bold idea. He created a new edition of the Quran and demanded that all other editions be surrendered and burnt. Not everyone liked this. After all, Uthman was not one of the four people Prophet Muhammad had said Muslims could trust to issue the Quran. Ibn Mas’ud, on the other hand, was. He refused point-blank to surrender his collection of the Quran, which he claimed he got directly from Muhammad.

Ali, the one who was “Prophet” Mohammed’s son-in-law and the soon-to-be fourth caliph, at first refused to surrender his Quran to the flames. He finally gave in under pressure, but he was not at all pleased.

Some claim Ali’s displeasure led him to participate in the assassination of Uthman — staged while Uthman was reading his new version of the Quran. One report has the assassins dramatically screaming, “You changed Allah’s Quran!” as they plunged knives into the fading Caliph’s body. Ali’s followers, who became the Shi’ites, to this day feel that Uthman tampered with the Quran to deprive Ali’s family of the hereditary right to lead Islam.

Caliph Uthman’s bonfires dealt a severe blow to the prohibition of textual criticism of the Quran. Fortunately, some hidden pre-Uthmanic manuscripts survived to this day and have slowly come to light, although access to them has been limited: their very existence goes against the Muslim’s “party line” that the Quran has never been changed. We know that Ibn Mas’ud’s version was different from the modern Quran. For example, it did not include the important first Sura, known as the “Fatiha”.

Ali, Mohammad’s son-in-law, and fourth Caliph assassinate Uthman, the reigning Caliph, screaming that Uthman changed the text of the Qu’ran, further dividing Muslims into Shi’a, Ali’s followers, and Sunni and they have been bitter enemies ever since.

Every one of the existing ancient korans are DIFFERENT! The Arabic is different, there are erasures, overwriting, taping over, and crossing out words, phrases and entire Surahs are either missing or added-on.
The koran in Arabic that is used today is LESS than one hundred years old, it was created in its present form, canonized and “finalized” in 1924!

    • Sanaa manuscript – ( wikipedia )

The Sanaa palimpsest (also ?an??’ 1 or DAM 01-27.1) or Sanaa Quran is one of the oldest Quranic manuscripts in existence. Part of a sizable cache of Quranic and non-Quranic fragments discovered in Yemen during a 1972 restoration of the Great Mosque of Sanaa, the manuscript was identified as a palimpsest Quran in 1981 as it is written on parchment and comprises two layers of text.

The upper text largely conforms to the standard ‘Uthmanic’ Quran in text and in the standard order of chapters (suwar, singular s?rah), whereas the lower text (the original text that was erased and written over by the upper text, but can still be read with the help of ultraviolet light and computer processing) contains many variations from the standard text, and the sequence of its chapters corresponds to no known Quranic order.

A partial reconstruction of the lower text was published in 2012, and a reconstruction of the legible portions of both lower and upper texts of the 38 folios in the Sana’a House of Manuscripts was published in 2017 utilising post-processed digital images of the lower text. A radiocarbon analysis has dated the parchment of one of the detached leaves sold at auction, and hence its lower text, to between 578 CE (44 BH) and 669 CE (49 AH) with a 95% accuracy.

      • You are absolutely correct, though some korans even OLDER than the year 600 have been found, and older than Mo-Ham-Mad too, thus proving Mo-Ham-Mad did not write it, nor is he the founder, also proving everything that Islam claims is false!

  4. Quran Burning: Morocco Condemns Swedish Extremists’ Islamophobic Acts

Sweden sparked controversy as it granted permission to a far-right politician to burn the Quran in front of the Turkish embassy.

Rabat – Morocco has strongly condemned the Islamophobic acts of Swedish extremists who burned the Quran on Saturday in Stockholm.

A statement from Morocco’s Foreign Affairs Ministry said that Morocco is astonished by Sweden’s decision to grant permission to allow the burning of the Quran.

“The Kingdom of Morocco is surprised at the authorization by the Swedish authorities of this unacceptable act, which took place in front of the Swedish law enforcement authorities,” the communique said.

The ministry stressed that the “heinous act” offends the feelings of over a billion Muslims, and the act is likely to trigger anger and hatred between religions and peoples.

The statement came after the leader of the far-right party Stram Kurs, Rasmus Paludan, burned a copy of the holy Quran in front of the Turkish embassy on Saturday.

The Islamophobic act sparked uproar worldwide.

Several institutions condemned the act, including the Arab League.

“I condemn in the strongest words the burning of the Holy Quran by an extremist in Stockholm, Sweden,” Secretary General of the Arab League Ahmed Aboul Gheit said on Twitter.

This is not the first time Paludan stirred uproar across the world for his Islamophobic acts.

In April last year, Paludan criticized Islam and burnt copies of the Quran in Denmark.

Protests against Islamophobic acts broke out in a number of Swedish cities last year, leading to clashes between Stram Kurs supporters and members of the Muslim community.

In 2020, the party’s leader stirred a similar controversy for similar acts in Denmark.

Arab League Condemns Quran Burning in Sweden

Sweden’s government granted permission to a far-right politician to burn the Quran in front of the Turkish embassy.

Rabat – Arab League Secretary General Ahmed Aboul Gheit condemned the Islamophobic protest in Swedish capital Stockholm during which far-right politician Rasmus Paludan set a copy of the Quran on fire.

“I condemn in the strongest words the burning of the Holy Quran by an extremist in Stockholm, Sweden,” Aboul Gheit said on Twitter.

“Such extremist and deviant acts must be criticized and condemned by all, especially in Sweden,” he continued. “Freedom of expression must not be a way for extremists to stoke hate between followers of different faiths.”

Sweden’s government had allowed a protest by notorious far-right leader Rasmus Paludan in front of the Turkish embassy in Stockholm, where he spoke against Islam and immigration before burning a copy of the holy book.

The Swedish government justified the decision by defending the protester’s right to “freedom of expression.”

The protest did not go down well in Turkiye as it worsened already strained relations with Stockholm. After the incident, a visit by the Swedish defense minister to discuss Turkiye’s objections to Sweden joining NATO was promptly canceled.

Turkish defense minister Hulusi Akar said the talks had “lost all significance and meaning,” when Sweden failed to take action against the anti-Turkish protests.

The protest was condemned by several Turkish institutions and officials, with Turkish Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu describing the freedom of speech justification as “unacceptable.”

“Permissing this anti-Islam act, which targets Muslims and insults our sacred values, under the guise of ‘freedom of expression’ is completely unacceptable,” Turkiye’s Foreign Ministry said in an official statement. “This is an outright hate crime.”

Paludan has a long history of being a far-right leader, having participated in several events where the Quran was burned.

Worldwide condemnations pour in over Quran burning in Sweden

Far-right extremist burned copy of Quran, Islam’s holy book, outside Turkish Embassy in Stockholm

Condemnations continued to pour in from across the Arab and Islamic worlds over the burning of a copy of the Quran, Islam’s holy book, by a Swedish-Danish right-wing extremist in the Swedish capital, Stockholm.

Rasmus Paludan, the leader of the Stram Kurs (Hard Line) Party, under the protection of police and with permission from the government, burned a copy of the Quran outside the Turkish Embassy in Stockholm on Saturday.

Saudi Arabia condemned the Swedish authorities for allowing the far-right politician to burn the Quran.

In a statement, the Saudi Foreign Ministry affirmed “the kingdom’s firm position calling for the importance of spreading the values of dialogue, tolerance and coexistence, and rejecting hatred and extremism.”

The Egyptian Foreign Ministry decried the Quran burning as a “disgraceful act.”

A ministry statement warned that this “disgraceful act provokes the feelings of hundreds of millions of Muslims around the world.”

“These extremist practices are inconsistent with the values of respect of others, freedom of belief, human rights and human fundamental freedoms,” it added.

    ‘Vile attack’

Qatar also denounced in the strongest terms Sweden’s permission to burn the Quran outside the Turkish Embassy in Stockholm.

“This heinous incident is an act of incitement and a serious provocation to the feelings of more than two billion Muslims in the world,” the Qatari Foreign Ministry said in a statement.

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) also condemned the incident and reiterated “its rejection of all practices aimed at destabilizing security and stability in contravention of human and moral values and principles.”

The UAE renewed its call to renounce hate speech and violence and underscored the need to respect religious symbols and avoid inciting hatred by insulting religions.

Oman termed the Quran burning as an “act of provocation to the feelings of Muslims and incitement to violence and hatred, by extremists in Sweden.” It underlined the need for international efforts to consolidate the values of tolerance and coexistence and criminalize all acts that promote the ideology of hatred.

Kuwaiti Foreign Minister Sheikh Salem Abdullah Al-Jaber Al-Sabah also condemned the Quran burning, saying the incident “hurts Muslims’ sentiments across the world and marks serious provocation.”

The Turkish Foreign Ministry condemned the burning of Islam’s holy book in Stockholm as a “vile attack.”

“We condemn in the strongest possible terms the vile attack on our holy book, the Quran, in Sweden today (21 January), despite our repeated warnings earlier,” a ministry statement said.

In response to Sweden’s permission of the incident, Ankara canceled Swedish Defense Minister Pal Jonson’s upcoming visit to Türkiye.

    ‘Senseless act’

Iran also termed the Quran burning as an attempt to stoke hatred and violence against Muslims. Tehran said some European countries under the false pretext of advocating freedom of speech “allow extremist and radical elements to spread hatred against Islamic sanctities and values.”

Jordan joined the chorus of condemnations, stressing “the kingdom’s rejection of this act that fuels hatred.” Amman underlined the necessity to spread the culture of peace and acceptance of the other, adding that “condemning extremism is a collective responsibility.”

Morocco said it was “shocked” by the Swedish permission of the burning of Islam’s holy book.

“This hateful act, which offends the sensibilities of more than a billion Muslims, can fuel anger and hatred between religions and peoples,” the Moroccan Foreign Ministry warned in a statement.

Pakistan termed the incident as a “senseless and provocative Islamophobic act that hurts the religious sensitivities of over 1.5 billion Muslims around the world.”

Such actions are “not covered under any legitimate expression of the right to freedom of expression or opinion, which carries responsibilities under international human rights law, such as the obligation not to carry out hate speech and incite people to violence,” the Foreign Ministry said in a statement.

In a statement, Bangladesh’s Foreign Ministry condemned the “act of insulting the sacred values of the Muslims all over the world in the guise of ‘freedom of expression’.”

The Foreign Ministry of the interim Taliban government in Afghanistan also “strongly” condemned the burning and desecration of the Holy Quran and urged the Swedish government to punish the perpetrators of this act.

In a statement, the ministry also urged Stockholm not to allow such people to take provocative actions against the Islamic religion and Muslims in the future.

The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) also condemned the Quran burning as a provocative action that “targets Muslims, insults their sacred values, and serves as a further example of the alarming level reached by Islamophobia” and asked Sweden to punish those behind a “hate crime.”

Egypt’s Al-Azhar Al-Sharif, the highest seat of Sunni Islamic learning, also decried the Quran burning as a “shameful act” and a violation of “all international laws and covenants that stipulate the necessity of respecting the sanctities of peoples, their beliefs and their religions.”

It called for drawing up an international legislation “to ensure the necessary guarantees to protect the rights of Muslims to practice their religious rites in the societies where they live.”

The International Union for Muslim Scholars (IUMS) called on the Muslim countries to summon the Swedish ambassadors to demand an apology from the Swedish government over the incident.

    • The Muzz don’t even know the REAL description of the word “Islamophobic”!
      The Definition of Islamophobia:
(A.) When a non-Muslim knows more about Islam than we are “supposed” to know.
(B.) When a Muslim finally learns the awful Truth about Islam.

There are 109 verses straight from the koran, demanding ALL muslims to steal from, hate, murder, and commit terror against all people who will not submit to a Dhimmi status, or convert to Islam.
Isn’t it natural to fear something that threatens to kill you, or enslave you, and turn your wife and daughters into sex slaves… and destroy and subvert your country?

I am sick of Islam being shoved down the throats of freedom-loving people. Those of us who openly oppose Islam are labeled as Islamophobic.
We are NOT ISLAMOPHOBIC… WE ARE ISLAMO-REALISTIC, trying to inform the ISLAMO-IGNORANT!
