  1. US: Turkey Has ‘Right To Defend Itself’ As 500 Kurdish Targets Hit

Authored by Dave DeCamp via AntiWar.com,

The White House said Tuesday that Turkey has the “right to defend themselves” from Kurdish militant groups in northern Syria and Iraq following massive Turkish airstrikes in the region.

“Turkey does continue to suffer a legitimate terrorist threat, particularly to their south. They certainly have every right to defend themselves and their citizens,” National Security Council spokesman John Kirby told reporters.

Turkey launched the strikes in response to a bombing in Istanbul that killed six people, which it blamed on the Kurdistan Worker’s Party (PKK) and its Syrian affiliates, including the US-backed SDF. The operations killed members of the SDF, and they reportedly responded by firing rockets into a Turkish district near the Syrian border.

Ankara is continuing to expand its cross-border assault:

    THURSDAY, NOV 24, 2022 – 05:55 AM
The West is inching forward with providing Ukraine significant air power, at a moment President Zelensky continues pressing for NATO countries to “close the sky”. UK Defense Secretary Ben Wallace has announced Britain will for the first time send helicopters to Ukraine’s forces.

While Britain has already sent drones, this marks the first piloted aircraft being provided since the Russian invasion began. The new transfer is to include three Sea King helicopters, which were recently retired from active service by the UK MoD, along with an additional 10,000 artillery rounds.

One helicopter has reportedly arrived in the country, and will be used in search of rescue operations. “In the last six weeks, Ukrainian crews were trained in the United Kingdom to fly and maintain the aircraft to provide search-and-rescue capabilities,” according to international reports based on Wallace’s press briefing.

“Our support for Ukraine is unwavering. These additional artillery rounds will help Ukraine to secure the land it has reclaimed from Russia in recent weeks,” Wallace said while on a visit to Norway.

Britain’s Defense Ministry has recently said it believes Russia’s military is likely close to exhausting its Iranian-supplied suicide drones which have for months wreaked havoc on Ukrainian cities and particularly its national energy infrastructure.

Days ago, British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak unveiled a new £50 million ($59 million) package of defense aid which features anti-air guns and munitions, especially to combat Russian drones.

Wallace is currently hosting meetings of the defense allies known as Northern Group aboard the HMS Queen Elizabeth aircraft carrier:

Apple’s manufacturing partner Foxconn Technology Group has begun distributing 10,000 yuan ($1,400) to newly recruited workers to leave the world’s largest iPhone factory in central China to quell the unrest, reported Bloomberg.

Late Wednesday, Foxconn proposed the payout plan to new hires, pleading with workers to return to their dormitories after days of chaos erupted at the factory in Zhengzhou. By Thursday morning, the move appeared to work as clashes with security guards seemed to have diminished.

A message obtained by CNN and Financial Times advised workers to “please return to your dormitories,” and in return, they would receive 8,000 yuan if they agreed to leave Foxconn. Then another 2,000 yuan would be distributed to workers once they boarded the busses home.

Lawmakers who were briefed on hundreds of intrusions over the White House, Capitol and Pentagon worry about possible espionage.

Hundreds of Chinese-manufactured drones have been detected in restricted airspace over Washington, D.C., in recent months, a trend that national security agencies fear could become a new means for foreign espionage.

The recreational drones made by Chinese company DJI, which are designed with “geofencing” restrictions to keep them out of sensitive locations, are being manipulated by users with simple workarounds to fly over no-go zones around the nation’s capital.

Most years now, one of the things I do for the major holidays is look at what I wrote the year before to see how it has held up.

Doing that in 2021 took me back to this post for 2020. Surprisingly, perhaps, it wasn’t about the pandemic or the lockdowns, at least not in any direct or explicit way. It was about something that was getting almost no attention at the time: the 400th anniversary of the Pilgrims’ arrival in the Mayflower at Plymouth Rock.

  9. the telegraph – UK experts helped shut down Covid lab leak theory – weeks after being told it might be true

Sir Patrick Vallance among scientists behind paper that stifled debate into the origins of the virus

Top scientists including Sir Patrick Vallance were warned that Covid-19 could have evolved in laboratory animals, but collaborated in a paper which shut down the lab leak theory, it has emerged.

The paper, “The proximal origin of SARS-CoV-2,” published in Nature Medicine in March 2020, argued that a natural spillover event caused the pandemic, and was hugely instrumental in stifling debate into the origins of the virus.

But newly released emails from early 2020 show that in the weeks before publication the authors held lengthy discussions with experts, including Sir Patrick and Sir Jeremy Farrar, the head of the Wellcome Trust.

In those discussions, experts were advised that the unusual features seen in Covid-19 could have evolved in animals in a lab, as well as in the wild.

They were also warned that the Wuhan Institute of Virology (WIV) had been carrying out research on bat-coronaviruses at worrying levels of biosecurity.

Yet by the time the paper was published, all reference to biosecurity problems in Wuhan had been removed, and the authors argued that lab evolution of the virus was unlikely.

Questions have arisen around the drafting and formulation of the paper since its publication.

The lead author of the paper, Prof Kristian Andersen, of the Scripps Research Institute in La Jolla, California, had earlier told colleagues that features of the virus looked as if they’d been engineered in a lab.

However, no mention of this was made in the paper.

    ‘Important to stay open-minded’
Commenting on the new emails, which were released under Freedom of Information request, Dr Jeremy Farrar, the director of Wellcome, said: “It is important that we understand how all pathogens emerge so that we can prevent future pandemics.

“In my view, the scientific evidence continues to point to SARS-CoV-2 crossing from animals to humans as the most likely scenario.

“However, as the efforts to gather evidence continue, it is important to stay open-minded and work together internationally to understand the emergence of Covid and variant strains – to end this pandemic and reduce the risks of future events.”

A Government Office for Science spokesperson said: “The Government Chief Scientific Adviser ensures that policies and decisions are informed by the best scientific evidence.

“The GCSA promotes full transparency and an open exchange of ideas and scientific opinion as the email exchange reflects.”

The emails were released following an FOI request from James Tobias, a freelance journalist.

More reason to believe scientists were trying not to upset China

In March 2020, just days before Britain entered its first Covid lockdown, an influential scientific paper was published in the journal Nature Medicine.

The paper, entitled “The proximal origin of SARS-CoV-2” argued that the new deadly virus sweeping the globe was of natural origin, having jumped from animals to humans.

Covid had emerged just a few miles from the Wuhan Institute of Virology (WIV) where scientists had been collecting and manipulating bat coronaviruses, leading to widespread speculation that a deadly experiment could have leaked from a lab.

Yet after the research paper was published, serious probing into the lab theory effectively stopped.

Now new emails show that some of the authors had indeed suspected a laboratory leak, and had discussed it in the weeks before publication with leading scientists including Sir Patrick Vallance and Sir Jeremy.

In an email chain debating the original draft, one of the authors even admitted that the virus would look the same whether it had evolved naturally or in lab mice in a process known as “serial passaging”.

In an email on February 8 2020, Dr Robert Garry, from Tulane University, pointed out that similar effects had been seen when bird flu had been passaged in laboratory chickens.

Yet by the time the paper was published the authors dismissed the possibility, concluding: “Our analyses clearly show that SARS-CoV-2 is not a laboratory construct or a purposefully manipulated virus”.

One of the reasons the authors gave in the paper for dropping the lab theory was that the Covid-19 contained sugars known as “o-glycans” which help the immune system.

In the Nature Medicine paper they said it showed that the virus could not have been a lab creation.

However they failed to point out that if the virus had evolved in lab animals it would also contain o-glycans, a fact they had discussed in the emails.

In fact, in the emails Sir Patrick said that the “glycan point” could be used in the paper as “further weight against a passage origin”.

The original draft also pointed out that research to alter Sars-like bat coronaviruses had been taking place for many years in Wuhan at dangerous biosecurity levels – a fact that was later removed from the finished paper.

In one email exchange, Sir Jeremy even warned that research in Wuhan was like the “Wild West”.

The email release will add more fuel to accusations that eminent scientists effectively publicly shut down investigations into a lab leak so as not to upset China, while believing privately it was possible.

In the newly released email chain, Prof Ron Fouchier, a Dutch virologist, warned that even investigating a lab leak could harm Chinese research.

“An accusation that (Covid-19) might have been engineered and released into the environment by humans (accidental or intentional) would need to be supported by strong data, beyond reasonable doubt,” he warned.

“It is good that this possibility was discussed in detail with a team of experts. However, further debate about such accusations would unnecessarily distract top researchers from active duties and do unnecessary harm to science in general and science in China in particular.”

Many scientists now agree that a lab leak is highly plausible, but most of the supporting evidence was found by hackers and rogue scientists who were branded conspiracy theorists for challenging the accepted narrative.

The latest email release shows that scientists who dismissed a lab leak accepted it was possible behind closed doors.

In an email on February 8 Prof Edward Holmes, one of the authors of the Nature Medicine paper, from the University of Sydney, acknowledged that many people believed the virus had leaked from the Wuhan lab.

He wrote: “Ever since this outbreak started there have been suggestions that the virus escaped from the Wuhan lab, if only because of the coincidence of where the outbreak occurred and the location of the lab.

“I do a lot of work in China and I can tell you a lot of people there believe this and believe they are being lied to.”

Another on the same date from Prof Kristian Andersen, of Scripps Research Institute in La Jolla, California, said it would be wrong to dismiss a lab leak “out of hand”.

He wrote: “Passage of Sars-live coronaviruses have been going on for several years and more specifically in Wuhan under BSL-2 conditions.”

BSL-2 laboratories are used to study moderate-risk infectious agents or toxins such as salmonella. Serious diseases should be handled in BSL-3 or 4 labs.

Evidence has shown that the Wuhan Institute of Virology (WIV) was importing bat coronaviruses from areas of China which hold the closest viruses to Covid-19.

Experts were also warned that the Wuhan Institute of Virology (WIV) had been carrying out research on bat-coronaviruses at worrying levels of biosecurity

The institute had also applied for funding to manipulate viruses by inserting a furin cleavage site (FCS) which is what makes Covid-19 so infectious in humans.

A recent report by the US Senate Committee concluded that the Covid-19 pandemic was “more likely than not” the result of a laboratory accident, arguing that no candidate for an animal spillover had ever been found.

In the emails, Sir Jeremy said the purpose of discussions was to come to a consensus view and “lay down a respected statement to frame whatever debate goes on, before that debate gets out of hand with potentially hugely damaging ramifications.”

The email chain also involved Anthony Fauci, the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), an organisation which was funding research at the Wuhan lab.

To date the “Proximal origin” paper has been accessed more than 5.7 million times and cited in 2,627 subsequent papers.

  10. Op-Ed: Merrick Garland Just Made the Lives of All Americans More Interesting

    Clifford Nichols

At the end of the day, it must be said that we may very well be living in some of the most interesting times in the history of America.

After Donald Trump announced his candidacy for president in 2024, Attorney General Merrick Garland announced late last week the appointment of a special counsel to continue, in yet another form, the same Democratic/RINO witch hunt that has wrongfully hounded the former president in different mutations for the last six years.

But this time, Trump’s response was different

To Garland and all of America, he strongly suggested on Friday that he wasn’t going to take it anymore. Instead, he would be taking a stand by refusing to cooperate in this latest “investigation” — i.e., abuse of power — by the Biden administration.

Nor should he have to cooperate. Enough is enough! And it’s time for patriots across America to let him know we’ve got his six!

After all, as he quite rightly pointed out, why hasn’t the attorney general appointed a special counsel to investigate Hunter Biden and the rest of the Biden family criminal cartel — including the present White House resident — based on, among other things, all the evidence contained in Hunter’s “laptop from hell“?

To the credit of both President Trump and Resident Biden, we all know the answer only too well.

Trump — and, indeed, all of us who love our country — are presently in the crosshairs of a regime that has weaponized its federal law enforcement with the specific intent to destroy all of its political and ideological enemies. Such is the errant trajectory of our federal government

It must be resisted, not only by Trump, but by all of us, and with great speed. For, if it is not resisted, it will soon end with the current regime obtaining its goals by eliminating the rights that previous generations of Americans thought to be their birthright. You know, like all those pesky little constitutional rights the current regime finds annoying, but that the rest of us are now coming to realize are vital if we ever hope to avoid bending our knees as indentured bondservants in submission to the tyrannical regime’s self-appointed ruling class.

For those who may doubt this, take as an advance warning the events the world is now witnessing taking place in Brazil, where its far-left dictator is now tightening the noose he has placed around the necks of those protesting his election. This weekend, he informed his adversaries that if they don’t stop protesting, go home and stay quiet — i.e., become submissive and obedient to his tyranny — their children are going to be seized and taken away from them by his government.
How long will the children be detained? Who knows? One might guess that will be decided later by the same regime that ordered them to be taken hostage in the first place — much like the J6 hostages our present government is holding indefinitely without due process for petty offenses. Such is the weaponization of law enforcement at its finest.

Except for those who willingly choose to remain blind to reality, the parallels between these events in Brazil and what appears to be evolving in America are becoming frighteningly uncanny. How is what Brazil is doing to suppress the people’s resistance to their tyrannical dictator any different than our law enforcement employing terror tactics to attempt to take down those whose only crime appears to be their desire to do what is necessary to ensure the sovereignty of their country and restore it to greatness?

With the appointment of the special counsel, the message being sent to Trump and those who support him is the same. We are to shut up and go away, or our government will make us pay a price none of us would want to pay… nor should we have to.

Will Trump defy the special counsel? And, if he does, will he be indicted for obstruction of justice and maybe even for insurrection? If that happens, will he be arrested and convicted, and thereby prevented from again becoming our president in 2024? If he is, where will that leave the millions upon millions of patriots who know that the president whom we firmly believe we need to reverse the course of this nation has been wrongfully set up by our government?

Related: Op-Ed: Conservatives’ Midterm Post-Mortem Ignores a Broken Election System

That is where we are as a nation.

At such a time as this, we are left considering words like these from Teddy Roosevelt: “In any moment of decision, the best thing you can do is the right thing, the next best thing is the wrong thing, and the worst thing you can do is nothing.” But that still leaves us wondering how such words should be interpreted in the present context.

Many of us who find ourselves on the sidelines while wanting to help are like the town folk in “High Noon.” We know a gunfight is coming that will greatly determine our future as a community, but trying to decide exactly what we should do before that event takes place — if anything — has only left us in a state of paralysis. We want to help, but we don’t know exactly what we are being called upon to do.

At minimum, we are now being compelled to prepare to make an important personal decision. Namely, what exactly would we be willing to do, if anything, to help Trump right a grievous wrong?

Which, in turn, is exactly what has made the times in which we are now living the most interesting of times any of us ever could have imagined.

  14. RT- Russian MPs approve complete ban on ‘LGBTQ propaganda’

The new legislation has been unanimously supported by members of the State Duma, the lower house of the country’s parliament

Russia’s State Duma has voted to fully ban LGBTQ, pedophilia and sex-change propaganda in the country following the final reading of a bill on Thursday.

The legislation on the “protection of traditional values” was supported by all 397 MPs in the lower house of the country’s parliament, passing without any opposition or abstentions.

The bill would outlaw such propaganda in advertising, books, movies and media. It’s widely seen as a follow-up to a 2013 law, which banned the dissemination of LGBTQ materials among those under 18 in Russia. However, the new legislation applies to both minors and adults.

If the law comes into force, it would make it impossible for movies that promote non-traditional relations or sex change to obtain distribution licenses in the country. Products with similar content, including foreign material, will also be prohibited from being put on sale.

Huge fines are envisaged for violations of the new rules, with individuals facing a penalty of 400,000 rubles ($6,600) and corporate entities of up to five million rubles (around $83,000) for LGBTQ propaganda. Fines for promotion of pedophilia are double these amounts, according to the bill. Foreign parties who violate the law will also face expulsion from Russia.

State Duma Chairman Vyacheslav Volodin thanked his fellow parliamentarians for unanimously supporting the legislation, insisting that “this decision will protect our children, the future of the country from the darkness spread by the US and European states.” Volodin rejected a call by US Secretary of State Antony Blinken, who earlier urged Russian lawmakers to “withdraw the bill and respect the human rights and dignity of all.”

The new legislation would not apply to video games as MPs decided that their content should be subject to separate regulations. During the second reading of the bill on Wednesday, the parliament also rejected the idea of introducing criminal liability for repeated violations of the ban on LGBTQ propaganda.

    • The law isn’t about what it claims to be about. It’s just another flexible state weapon.

      – Ferret out Western lib friendlies, or the naive who are unfamiliar with, or have forgotten Soviet rules of the road.

      – Use it to ruin an unfriendly or any MSM that’s too influential, off-message, or competes with a crony’s enterprise. Open-ended: ‘LGBTQ propaganda’ in the eye of the beholder.

      – Maybe the biggest: Propaganda that plays to the anti-woke agenda of conservatives in the West. A market segment that’s becoming politically hefty.

  15. A Nation Cannot Exist Without Confidence in its Ruler’

Tsekung asked about government and Confucius replied: ‘People must have sufficient to eat; there must be a sufficient army; and there must be confidence of people in the ruler.’ ‘If you are forced to give up one of these three objectives, what would you go without first,’ asked Tsekung. Confucius said, ‘ I would go without the army first.’ ‘And if you were forced to go without one of the two remaining factors, what would you rather go without,’ asked Tsekung again. ‘I would rather go without sufficient food for the people…. [A] nation cannot exist without confidence in its ruler.'”
    — From The Wisdom of China and India by Lin Yutang.

Our election integrity is under assault, as is our Constitution. We have lost confidence in our rulers. We have lost confidence in how we elect our rulers. As of this writing, the US midterm election has been over for more than two weeks; in Arizona, which reported massive voting problems – from voting machines that failed to work to “mixed ballots” — the result still has not been tallied. We have lost confidence in mail-in ballots — a reservation about which the Carter Commission warned in 2005; in ballot-harvesting and “ballot hunting” as opposed to verifiable voting with one-man-one-vote. We have lost confidence in the hundreds of “dirty,” uncleaned voter rolls and the lack of voter identification in many states.

Most of all we have lost confidence in the millions of political dollars such as Mark Zuckerberg’s “Zuckbucks”, provided privately, where $400 million, laundered through supposedly non-governmental organizations, effectively “swung” elections in Georgia. Now, they are available “on steroids.” After 25 states ruled out private political donations such as Zuckbucks, the Biden administration put $370 billion in public funds — nearly a thousand times what Zuckerberg used — in the hands of long-time Democrat political operative John

  16. Liberty Is Worth the Fight
Freedom’s future always depends upon the courage of a lonely few.
    by J.B. Shurk
    November 23, 2022 at 5:00 am

There comes a time,” Martin Luther King Jr. advised, “when one must take a position that is neither safe, nor politic, nor popular, but he must take it because conscience tells him it is right.” Moral imperative, in other words, outweighs personal security, political correctness, and the psychological comfort of identifying with the crowd. During troubling times of human violence and suffering, it is always the lonely few — either blessed with innate courage or made resolute through private, grinding struggle — who dare to take a stand against encroaching evils tacitly accepted by the many. Such is the power of individual free will when man chooses principle as his guide.

Today is a time for the voices of the few to coalesce. What is at stake is nothing less than individual control over one’s life, liberty, property, privacy, and pursuit of happiness. Freedom of speech hangs in the balance, as do freedom of religion, freedom of the press, and the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances. That many of these natural rights were recorded together in America’s First Amendment is not accidental. They are intimately interwoven. To weaken any one, weakens them all.

To freeze the bank accounts of Freedom Convoy protesters demanding freedom from unwanted experimental “vaccines,” as was done in Canada, is to threaten speech, assembly, bodily autonomy, religious objection, property rights, and public resistance to government-caused harm.

To forbid a football coach from publicly praying is to force him to sacrifice both his religious freedom and freedom of expression; if the very things that most define us are relegated to the home, then religious identity and freedom of speech do not have far to roam.

Aside from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s efforts to create an official “Disinformation Governance Board” to “combat” free speech antithetical to the government’s point of view, reports show that DHS employees have regularly met with Facebook and Twitter to suppress and censor certain facts and opinions in online discussion of numerous issues dominating public debate — including such broad topics as the U.S. withdrawal from Afghanistan, Covid-19, and “racial justice.”

To hand Western governments the power to decide what may or may not be published on social media deprives the public square of both unfettered free speech (within the bounds of Brandenburg v. Ohio) and a truly free press. To empower government actors with the authority to designate some thoughts as “mis-,” “mal-,” or “dis-” information — in other words, to permit politicians and bureaucrats to arbitrate what is true or false, helpful or harmful, protected opinion or malicious deception — is to abrogate entirely the protections of America’s First Amendment. To use private sector cutouts as the government’s implicit censors is not only a nefarious and cynical workaround — it is also illegal to act as a government agent to enable it to circumvent constitutional prohibitions, in this instance limiting who may participate in the modern-day equivalent of the traditional town square.

To censor dissenting views on experimental, yet coerced, medical treatments, two-tiered economic shutdowns (during which “Big Box” stores are inexplicably “allowed” to operate while economically vulnerable neighborhood shops are not), is mass censorship in the name of public health, shielding from scrutiny monstrous tyranny draped in the false cloak of the “greater” or “common good.”

When governments censor dissenting opinions from public debate, they serve no greater interests than their own. When governments claim to act for the people’s “own good” while banning contrary points of view, they all too often augment their own power at the public’s expense. When governments camouflage their orders behind claims of “good intentions,” then the most atrocious evils can be blissfully undertaken.

If you allow yourself to be blinded by any government’s “good intentions,” your eyes may one day be flooded with the sights of unspeakable harms. Hugo Chávez’s socialist government made many such promises “for the good” of the people of Venezuela, while his government’s endless public betrayals have left that nation’s citizenry suffering immeasurably still today.

This is a pivotal moment in human history, when centuries of steady progress toward human emancipation and individual liberty will either find new, urgent momentum or suffer regrettable retreat. Either freedom means something, or it does not. Either personal agency resides in the hands of every individual, or it disappears behind a view of people as nothing more than parts of collective groups. Either self-government demands each citizen have a voice, or the many must obey the edicts of an ever-expansive government run by the few. Either citizens are uniquely empowered to control the direction of their governments, or legal citizenship and nationality mean nothing at all. These are the simple yet serious stakes we face today. They are clear, unforgiving, and unavoidable.

The reason we are here now at this intersection in the history of liberty is not complex: it is the outcome of human nature. For most people in the West today, war and its painful consequences are unknown or have been distorted by time. Although violence and bloodshed continue uninterrupted in many places around the world, most Westerners have long been spared the horrors of war directly outside their doors. The difficulty for humans to appreciate what they cannot see has made them careless in preventing what they do not intimately know.

Many politicians cavalierly embrace totalitarianism once again. Citizens, once aware of the attendant dangers to peace when large corporations and national governments work hand in glove to push “politically correct” ideas upon society, are apparently so far removed from the twentieth century’s vivid lessons in fascist, communist, and Nazi propaganda that they fail to see the harm in bureaucrats and officeholders dictating to the public what it may believe.

Many Westerners have forgotten that freedom of speech and personal liberty — far from menacing “microaggressions” deserving of sanction — are the surest safety valves for mediating animosities inherent within any society before outright violence is unleashed in their stead. For many people, decades of relative peace have transformed hard-fought Western freedoms into disposable inessentials. Governments and international corporations think little of the risks to social cohesion — and probably do not even care — when they purposefully manipulate populations with mass media propaganda meant to reinforce the elite agendas of the World Economic Forum covering everything from energy use and food production to medical mandates and health passports. The same allure of ultimate power and control that fueled both world wars remains all too enticing.

Governments already acclimated to universal public surveillance and warrantless online tracking see central bank digital currencies, human tracking implants, and the imposition of social credit scores all on the horizon and believe the time for total control over citizens is near, so long as they are the ones doing the controlling.

As always, technology’s liberating benefits are accompanied by its powers to threaten populations and to suppress information that its directors may abhor. Radio and television connected the world as never before, but mass communication also rapidly fueled the rise of dictators and the spread of public indoctrination to new heights. Nuclear energy has provided both abundant power and the potential for apocalyptic destruction. Personal computers, smartphones and the internet have given ordinary individuals megaphones through which to articulate new ideas, yet that same cyberspace has opened up a brand new battlespace for government surveillance, propaganda, and mass manipulation.

Rather than ensuring citizens’ economic security and fostering freer markets, some governments appear to view technology as providing not only more efficient tools for redistributing wealth, limiting personal income, and levying taxes but also the means for creating a technocratic system of total surveillance in which bureaucratic control over what consumers buy and sell and the implementation of social credit scores can both reward “politically correct” behaviors and punish “wrong” points of view.

Technological advancement provides the means for both greater human freedom and absolute human abasement. When governments are allowed to make that choice for us, they will often choose the latter. Their concern is not our personal liberty but their power. For human freedom to flourish, only the people are capable of keeping government power in check.

It is therefore imperative that Westerners not lose sight of the most important battle already raging — one pitting individual freedom against total state control. Every other issue should be scrutinized through this lens. We are, indeed, at an intersection in the history of human liberty. Even if only a small minority comprehend what is now at risk, those few would do well to fight for preserving our individual freedoms against those governments and corporations working diligently to dilute them. Either the light of liberty is once again rekindled, or it will be extinguished until a later day.

Radical left-wing Supreme Court Judge Alexandre de Moraes wants to fine the Liberal Party (PL) allied with President Jair Bolsonaro $4.1 million, freeze its bank accounts and investigate the Party’s chairman after the PL presented its report into the massive electoral fraud in Brazil. The confrontation between the corrupt Supreme Court and the executive branch threatens to escalate.

The Liberal Party (PL) presented its report Tuesday saying that the results of pre-2020 electonic voting machines are open to manipulation and could not be verified. Using only the results from the secure 2020 electonic voting machines, the PL found that President Jair Bolsonaro won 51,05% of the vote and Communist challenger Lula da Silva only 48,95%.

Some New Yorkers are understandably upset that so many resources, and tax dollars, are going to illegals who are not citizens, rather than to New Yorkers in need. New Yorkers, like all Americans, are struggling with out of control housing costs and the steep rise in cost of consumer goods.

According to a study by The New York Times in March of 2022, rents in the city have risen 33% in the last year, close to double the national average.

But in August, it was migrants who were invited by the hundreds to receive free healthcare coverage, food, other supplies and even free phones.

But New York Mayor Eric Adams is working overtime to help illegals, including recent efforts to strike a deal to house illegals in luxury cruise ships.

Archbishop Vigano shared exclusively with The Gateway Pundit his letter to the Medical Doctors for COVID Ethics International.

Archbishop Vigano shared with TGP his message to the medical doctors who are calling for COVID ethics after the 2020 nightmare resulting in the destruction of human life and rights.

Medical Doctors for Covid Ethics International (MD4CE International) is grateful to His Excellency, Archbishop Carlo Maria Vigano, for speaking to us and sharing his thoughts on the current global crisis, which began with the fraudulent concocted Covid-19 pandemic emergency, supported by and maintained by an evil military grade psychological operation, complete with the unashamed use of fear and shame propaganda, which was unleashed in a coordinated manner on the unsuspecting people of the entire world by their own governments in early 2020, with predictably cataclysmic results.

MD4CE International is an international group of medical doctors, scientists, lawyers, journalists, economists, historians, politicians, philosophers, data analysts, bankers, military/intelligence experts and others from all over the world, working determinedly together to expose the terrible truth of what has happened during the past three years to the people of the world, their families, their communities, their countries, and to hold those responsible for the great crimes committed properly to account.

His Excellency Archbishop Carlo Maria Vigano is the former Apostolic Nuncio to the United States of America (19 October 2011 to 12 April 2016).

Archbishop Vigano began by thanking the doctors for their courageous work in speaking out against the psychopandemic

your commitment to fighting the psychopandemic propaganda is commendable. I am well aware of the difficulties you have had to face in order to remain consistent with your principles, and I hope that the damage you have suffered can be adequately repaired by those who have discriminated against you, depriving you of work and salary and labelling you as dangerous no-vaxxers.

I am pleased to be able to speak and share with you my thoughts about the current global crisis. A crisis that we can consider to have begun with the pandemic emergency, but that we know has been planned for decades with very specific purposes by well-known personalities. Stopping at the pandemic alone would in fact be a serious mistake, because it would not allow us to consider the events in their full coherence and inter-

The former U.S. Naval Base Subic Bay, which faces the South China Sea, has become a bustling free port that employs about 150,000 locals, administered by the Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority

Manila and Washington have been in negotiations over setting up five more locations in the Asian country to build U.S. military facilities and preposition weapons under the Enhanced Defense Cooperation Agreement.

Rolen Paulino, chairman of the SBMA, told Kyodo News on Wednesday that he would be “very surprised” if Subic Bay does not become an EDCA site, as “during war, time is of the essence,” a day before the 30th anniversary of the U.S. Navy’s departure from the harbor that it had controlled for nearly 94 years.

The Trucker Commission in Canada has showcased testimony from top Trudeau officials regarding the designation of the trucker convoy protests as a “threat to national security” requiring invoking the Emergencies Act.

An estimated 50,000 Canadian truckers traveled across Canada in a massive caravan protesting the COVID mandates. Canadian media tried to paint the protests as Russian propaganda.

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau employed the Emergencies Act against the protestors and utilized its near-limitless powers to terrorize and harass the grassroots trucker convoy.

While the Canadian Parliament initially voted to uphold Trudeau’s unprecedented use of the Emergencies Act against the truckers, he was forced to revoke it days later, likely due to lack of support in the Senate.

One would think that Canadian officials would have a bevy of documents and proof of the alleged threat the trucker convey represented.

  29. Socialism Sounds Good On Paper But It Was Deadly For The Pilgrims
    Tyler Durden’s Photo
    BY TYLER DURDEN
    THURSDAY, NOV 24, 2022 – 02:40 PM
Authored by Michael Maharrey via SchiffGold.com,

When I was a kid, we used to say some things only “sound good on paper.” In other words, they seem like good plans, but there is no way they’re going to work in the real world.

    That’s socialism in a nutshell.

The Pilgrims found this out the hard way during their first couple of years in North America. Their experiment in socialism turned out deadly.

Turns out, you can’t just ignore economics and human nature.

Socialism really does sound good on paper though, right? We’re all going to own everything together and take care of each other. “From each according to his ability, to each according to his needs.“

It sounds so nice. And we all want to be nice, right? People are emotionally drawn to socialism because it sounds so good. It sounds fair. It sounds — nice.

But do you know what’s not nice?

    Corpses.

That’s exactly what happened the Pilgrims got when they took a stab at socialism.

Most Americans don’t know that the Plymouth colony was originally an experiment in socialist utopianism and were it not for a complete 180 a couple of years in, we probably wouldn’t have enjoyed the bountiful feasts most of us will indulge in today. There would have been no Thanksgiving because there would have been nobody left to give thanks.

When the Pilgrims arrived in Massachusetts on November 11, 1620, they placed all their food and provisions in a “common store.” These folks were forward thinkers. They didn’t even have Marx’s scribblings to appeal to. They set things up on the socialist principle of, “From each according to his ability, to each according to his need.”

Things got off to a bad start in the new world. Conditions were miserable, as William Bradford described them.

That which was most sad and lamentable was, that in two or three months time half of their company died, especially in January and February, being the depth of winter, and wanting houses and other comforts; being infected with the scurvy and other diseases, so as there died sometimes two or three of a day, in the aforesaid time; that of 100 and odd persons, scarce 50 remained.”

Now, the Pilgrim’s initial struggles didn’t really have anything to do with socialism. They just had the misfortune of landing in Massachusetts at the onset of winter. If you live in New England, you understand their pain.

But even after their first summer, things didn’t improve much. The following fall, the Pilgrims harvested their first crops and again, they all went into the common store.

Now, wasn’t that nice? No greed. Nobody getting any more than they should. Of course, nobody was getting much of anything at all – but still – they had to feel good about themselves, right? Because, after all, the system was fair.

So, in November the ship Fortune arrived with more than 30 new settlers, mostly young men. More manpower was welcome, but according to accounts, they brought “not so much as a bisket-cake” with them. Now they had a meager supply of food in the common store and even more mouths to feed. The future looked bleak as food supplies ran out and the “planned socialist” community faced starvation yet again.

The following year, the harvest was poor in spite of the added manpower. Nevertheless, the pilgrims again put the meager harvest in the common store. Because, you know, it’s going to work this time!

    It didn’t.

    That winter, they starved.

The colonists were learning economics the hard way.

Richard Grant in his book The Incredible Bread Machine wrote:

For two years the Pilgrims faithfully practiced communal ownership of the means of production. And for two years nearly starved to death, rationed at times to “but a quarter of a pound of bread a day to each person.” Governor Bradford wrote that “famine must still ensue the next year also if not some way prevented.” He described how the colonists finally decided to introduce private property:

[The colonists] began to think how they might raise as much corn as they could, and obtain a better crop than they had done, that they might not still thus languish in misery. [In 1623] after much debate of things, the Gov. (with the advice of the chiefest amongst them) gave way that they should set down every man for his own … and to trust themselves … so assigned to every family a parcel of land. This had very good success; for it made all hands very industrious, so as much more corn was planted than otherwise would have been by any means the Gov. or any other could use, … and gave far better content. The women now went willingly into the field, and took their little-ones with them to set corn, which before would allege weakness, and inability; whom to have compelled would have been thought great tyranny and oppression.”

Reflecting on the experience of the previous two years, Bradford goes on to describe the folly of communal ownership

The experience that was had in this common course and condition, tried sundry years, and that amongst godly and sober men, may well evince the vanity of that conceit of Platosand other ancients, applauded by some of later times; — that the taking away of property, and bringing in community into a common wealth would make them happy and flourishing; as if they were wiser than God. For this community (so far as it was) was found to breed much confusion and discontent, and retard much employment that would have been to their benefit and comfort. For the young-men that were most able and fit for labor and service did repine that they should spend their time and strength to work for other men’s wives and children, without any recompense. The strong, or man of parts, had no more indivision of victuals and cloths, than he that was weak and not able to do a quarter the other could; this was thought injustice…”

Woah! Some people resented doing all the work? They didn’t work as hard when they knew they weren’t going to directly benefit?

    Shocking.

Actually, it’s not shocking at all. It’s human nature. And we all know it.

Now, we can lament the fact. We can say it shouldn’t be that way. We can finger-point and talk about greed. We can get all holier-than-thou and say we wouldn’t act that way (in other words lie). But people will still be people.

Here’s a harsh truth: good intentions and feel-good policies can’t trump basic economics. You can dream of unicorns and lollipops all day, but it won’t change reality.

Scarcity. Human behavior. Incentives. The experience of the Pilgrims vividly demonstrates basic economic principles. Their good intentions could not overpower the cold hard realities of economic principles. They never have. They never will.

  30. Four Mass Shooting Truths To Shut Down Your Liberal Family Members At Thanksgiving Dinner

Authored by Kevin Downey Jr via PJMedia.com,

The media is shifty when it comes to mass shootings.

They decide which shootings we do and do not get to hear about. If a shooting doesn’t jive with the liberal narrative, you’re not likely to hear the gory details.

FACT-O-RAMA! In order to talk about mass shootings, we have to agree on the definition of what a mass shooting is. Gun Violence Archive defines a mass shooting as four or more people shot, not including the shooter/shooters.

The recent mass shooting in Colorado Springs is the 601st mass shooting in 2022. There have been four mass shootings since then, but you likely haven’t about them. You probably didn’t hear about most of the previous 600 shootings, either. Why is that? Because the left is keeping secrets. Let’s talk about what they don’t want you to know about mass shootings and why, so you can dominate your commie relatives at the Thanksgiving dinner table.

Mass Shooting Secret #1: The AR-15 Is Not a Mass Shooter’s Weapon of Choice

The left likes to screech about the evils of AR-15s and their use in mass shootings. Some dolts whine that the AR-15 is the “preferred weapon” of mass shooting whackjobs. I rate this myth: five big, stinkin’ Pinocchios.

When you’re arguing at the Thanksgiving table with your liberal sister-in-law and her green-haired, trans-pan muxe-puke femme-boi?friend, she’ll go full-harpy on how AR-15s are the preferred weapons of mass shooters. This is odd, because even the Pravda-like lefty media outlet ABC News had to admit that’s false. As did Newsweek and The New York Times. Yet the left somehow still manages to convince their quislings that assault semi-

  31. Happy Thanksgiving to Brian Kolfage and All Our American Military Heroes
    By Joe Hoft

Brian Kolfage is an American war hero who fights for America overseas and at home. We are grateful for all our military heroes and families this Thanksgiving.

    From Brian’s website:

While on his second deployment for Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2004, Senior Airman Kolfage found himself at the center of an extraordinary set of circumstances. On September 11, 2004, after working a night shift at Balad Air Base in Iraq, he awoke in the afternoon, left his tent to get some water, and walked about 25 feet when the airbase came under a surprise rocket attack.

In the chaos, a 107mm rocket shell exploded about three feet from Brian. He was thrown several feet in the air and landed against a wall of sandbags. Still conscious after the blast, he began calling for help.

One of Brian’s closest friends at the base was thrown from his bed during the attack. Miraculously, despite the noise of the rockets, he heard Brian’s screams and rushed outside to find his friend bloody, mangled, and clinging to life. He called for a medic and rushed to help Brian, who was struggling to breathe after one of his lungs had collapsed.

Brian lost both his legs and his right arm on that day. But this didn’t stop him. Brian went on to graduate in 2014 from the University of Arizona’s School of Architecture.

In 2011, Brian was married and now has two beautiful children.

Then in 2018, Brian founded We Build the Wall, a 501(c)(4) organization dedicated to building private sections of the wall along the U.S. – Mexico border. The organization completed two construction sections of the wall and aimed to build a total of 100 miles of wall along the border.

But then the state of New York stepped in. Although nowhere near the Southern Border, the DOJ in New York brought charges against Brian, Steve Bannon and two other men behind the We Build the Wall effort.

One morning Brian woke up to at least five cars, all with New York state plates outside his house. Out came 15 USPIS agents, armed and ready.

Multiple vehicles appeared and some raced down Kolfage’s drive and agents got out. Then a half dozen or so agents exited their cars from the street and marched down his driveway toward his house.

When the agents went into the house, they searched all over, including in the children’s rooms. They asked Kolfage about his guns, how many, and their characteristics. They allowed Kolfage to only take his medications with him and then took Kolfage outside while his two children huddled in their room with fear. What happened next likely violated numerous articles of the Americans with Disabilities Act.

Once outside the 15 agents dragged triple-amputee war hero Brian Kolfage with one good arm and no legs into their arrest vehicle! Not one of the 15 USPIS agents even considered providing a vehicle that was wheelchair accessible for their arrest of triple-amputee war hero Kolfage.

Eventually, Brian took a plea to end the attack from the government. But this hasn’t stopped Brian from watching over his family and charging forward in efforts to bring truth to the nation.

On Friday, May 6, 2022, Brian was notified that Representative Paul Gosar from Arizona entered into the Congressional Record a statement denouncing the treatment of American hero and veteran, airman Brian Kolfage.

The fact that the military hasn’t already acted means they are trying to keep from staging a coup. The fact that they are (on civvies) supporting the protesters says the military is thinking about seizing power.

Brazil will probably resort to mass violence before the US. However the increase in violent attacks is the US says that the left is getting closer to trying to take over “to protect the civilians from the violence ” )

Power outages are possible in parts of Southern California on Thanksgiving due to high winds.

Gusty Santa Ana winds moved into the region late Wednesday into Thursday morning prompting Southern California Edison to consider power outages to avoid fires.

Wind gusts are expected to reach 70 mph in some parts of SoCal near canyon passes.

“More than 32,000 Southern California Edison customers in Los Angeles and Riverside counties could be without power for part of Thanksgiving Day as the utility considers measures to protect public safety in the face of low humidity and looming Santa Ana winds that will increase the chance of dangerous wildfires.” The Daily Bulletin reported.

The National Weather Service issued a red flag warning for parts of Los Angeles and Ventura Counties on Thursday that lasts until Friday morning, indicating critical fire weather conditions

Wind gusts could approach 70 mph in some parts of Southern California, forecasts show. The dry wind, combined with the parched earth still reeling from a decades-long megadrought, could spread any fires that spark.

Temperatures are expected to reach 80 degrees in Los Angeles and Orange Counties, with the strong winds expected to pass through the canyons.

    • CROOKS AND LIARS: Maricopa County Moves Election Certification to ONE HOUR Before They Were Subpoenaed to Cough Up Election Records

In a stunning, and impossible, upset Democrat Katie Hobbs allegedly ‘defeated’ extremely popular conservative Kari Lake in the midterm gubernatorial election.

Katie Hobbs did not campaign, did not have a major following, did not hold rallies, and refused to debate.

Hobbs was able to win the election after she somehow won over 50% of the post-election ballots despite Democrats having only a 17% turnout on election day.

It was a miracle win for Hobbs and her fellow Democrats!

Over 25% to 30% of the tabulators were not working on Election Day when Republicans had at least 72% of the turnout.

This is the definition of election interference. It is the definition of election suppression.

If America had a legitimate Department of Justice they would have been in Arizona and the election would already have been disqualified.

They did this in Germany just last week.

The Maricopa County election officials were served with a subpoena to provide election records by 9:30 AM on Monday.

So Maricopa County officials moved their planned 9:30 AM meeting to 8:00 AM on Monday.

They don’t even hide their deceit and fraud. They really don’t care.

Republicans believed they were dealing with honest Americans. Once again, they were fooled.

  35. Lady Justice Loses Her Blindfold
Agenda-driven judges and advocacy from the bench are the last thing we need as we drift further away from rule of law that has always been one of the pillars of America’s greatness.

Traditionally, one of the reasons people around the world have tried to relocate to America over other locations has been our enlightened justice system. Unlike some other countries, America has been a place where even those of modest means and lower social standing can at least get their day in court.

Vital to that system is that judges go through rigorous legal training, swear to uphold the law, and act with impartiality when making decisions in the courtroom. Should judges take on the role of advocates, the integrity of the justice system begins to crumble.

We have now reached that undesirable place, as judges apparently can refuse to uphold the law, act as advocates for one side, and face no consequences as a result.

That is the inescapable conclusion after Newton (Massachusetts) District Judge Shelley Joseph recently had her suspension dropped after being accused of helping an illegal alien evade an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agent who was waiting to carry out a federal arrest he hadevery legal authority to make.
The sordid tale of Judge Joseph should be a warning sign that something is amiss in our justice system. While hearing the case of Jose Medina-Perez in 2018, Joseph asked an ICE officer to leave the courtroom and wait in the lobby outside. With the ICE officer waiting out of the courtroom, Joseph held a sidebar conference with the assistant district attorney and Medina-Perez’s attorney.

After Joseph instructed the clerk to switch off the courtroom recorder for 52 seconds—in violation of Massachusetts courtroom rules—court officer Wesley MacGregor led Medina-Perez out the courthouse’s rear exit. While the ICE officer waited patiently nearby, Medina-Perez escaped deportation with the assistance of three sworn officers of the court: the judge, the prosecutor, and the defense attorney—all of whom swore an oath to “do no falsehood, nor consent to the doing of any in court.”

The result was outrage at ICE headquarters in Washington, D.C., and in much of the law enforcement community. Joseph was hit with federal charges of conspiracy and obstruction of justice. The U.S. attorney handling the case described Joseph’s actions as “clearly criminal,” and even groups sympathetic to her case were hesitant to defend her.

There are elements of this that have a very bad look,” said Ivan Espinoza-Madrigal of Lawyers for Civil Rights, which has filed a lawsuit to block ICE courthouse detentions. “I wouldn’t defend turning off the recorder in the courtroom.”

Despite Joseph’s apparent guilt, she is free of charges and likely to return to the bench. Why? With the inauguration of Joe Biden in 2021 came new U.S. attorneys, one of whom chose to drop the case against Joseph. With the Biden Administration unlawfully eliminating virtually all consequences for violating the Immigration and Nationality Act, the last thing it would do is prosecute a judge who launched a criminal conspiracy to hide a foreign national, clearly in violation of our immigration laws, from an ICE agent.

A state court judge is not exempt from this law, and by the supremacy clause of the 10th Amendment has no authority to impede, prohibit or otherwise interfere with an ICE officer engaged in the lawful performance of his duties.

Red flags as to Joseph’s fitness as a judge were present at her nomination hearings in 2017. There, she spoke of her mother teaching her “to be an advocate.” That is a great philosophy for a defense attorney, but a horrible one for a judge from whom objectivity is both expected and required.

And for whom was Joseph such a passionate advocate? Medina-Perez, a native of the Dominican Republic, had been arrested in Newton on narcotics charges and had been linked to a drunken driving warrant in Pennsylvania. He had been deported twice from the United States and had been prohibited from entering the country for 20 years, according to the federal indictment. Thanks to Joseph’s advocacy, a menace to society was released into a U.S. community, rather than facing the deportation he deserves.

If Joseph’s brand of adjudication is to be the new normal, then our justice system and America itself is truly in serious trouble. Agenda-driven judges and advocacy from the bench are the last thing we need as we drift further away from rule of law that has always been one of the pillars of America’s greatness. What is even scarier is that we are retreating from our own legal standards even as we fill our country with people who began their relationship with the United States by breaking our laws.

  36. Learn from the Druze and get results

Eight years ago I guided a group of Druze Israelis in Jerusalem .

When I asked the group leader which sites they would like to visit he said first of all Har Nof (mountain view).I thought he mistakenly said the name of that quiet Jewish neighborhood but meant the well known sites like Har Habayot or Har Zion.

He explained why they came from their Galilee village to Har Nof. It was there several years ago where one of their people was killed when as a policeman he rushed to the scene of an Arab terror attack in a synagogue. I had to catch my breath.

My cousin Aryeh Kupinsky was brutally murdered in that same attack.

As we drove onto the neighborhood, the group leader asked.me if Arabs still dare to enter it.

I told him, yes, of course.

He looked at me with what seemed to me an expression of surprise, pity and disdain.

I knew what he was thinking:

If that happened to one of ours no Arab would risk showing his face in our village.

I felt ashamed. We Jews who proudly returned to our own land and swore never again, have lost steam and pay the price daily. We live with the price. I thought to myself what if the Druze made security policy in Israel

Would its citizens be safer? I knew the answer.

Palestinian gunmen ‘seize body’ of Israeli teen from Jenin hospital

Palestinian gunmen stormed a hospital in Jenin on Tuesday and seized the body of an Israeli teenager, the Israel Defense Forces said on Wednesday.

The twelfth-grader, a member of Israel’s Druze community, had entered Jenin from Israel via the Gilboa Crossing, together with a second civilian, the IDF said in a statement.

“The two were involved in a car accident and were evacuated to the local hospital for medical treatment. One of the civilians was confirmed dead. The body was taken from the hospital in Jenin and is expected to be returned to Israel shortly, as a required humanitarian act. The second injured civilian was severely injured and evacuated to receive further medical attention in Israel,” according to the statement.

However, Mowafaq Tarif, the spiritual head of the Druze Israeli community, contradicted the IDF’s version of events, stating that the youth had still been alive when he was taken.

Speaking with Kan Reshet Bet on Wednesday, Tarif said that according to the teen’s father, who was at the hospital in Jenin, “After the accident he saw that his son was breathing. He was disconnected from the equipment and kidnapped while still alive. They took him while firing shots in the air. It was a very difficult scene.”

    {snip}
    How Ladino Saved Albahari’s life

Moris was out on patrol as a partisan when he came upon a group of American and British paratroopers. They raised their weapons at him, thinking he was an enemy. Moris tried to communicate, but he spoke no English.

When he asked the soldiers if they spoke German or Italian, they shook their heads. When he asked about Spanish, one perked up: a Hispanic-American soldier by the name of David Garijo.

In Ladino, Alabahari was able to explain that he was not an enemy but could lead them to a nearby partisan camp where they would be safe.

“Ladino saved my life in the war,” Albahari recalled in the documentary.

At the partisan camp, Morris received even bigger news: The family that he had assumed had all perished after he left the train were in fact alive. The former school teacher and Ustaša guard who had warned his father had met them at the next train junction to help them escape. Furthermore, around half of the Jews in the train car were able to escape using the same hole Moris used during his initial escape.

  38. ‘Wellesley News’ Endorses The Mapping Project: The Fragmentation of Journalistic Integrity

…The Mapping Project was first launched this past June by BDS supporters, with the goal of revealing “the local entities and networks that enact devastation, so we can dismantle them.”

This endeavor was incredibly dangerous to the entire Jewish community of Massachusetts, as it exposed identifying information including addresses and phone numbers of Jewish individuals and institutions, and gave a tacit green light to go out and put an end to their so-called “devastation.”

Wellesley College President Paula A. Johnson made sure to distinguish between the institution and its student newspaper’s editorial board, by calling out the conspicuous antisemitism that The Mapping Project embodies, stating:

“While it is not my practice to comment on the newspaper’s editorials, I do feel the need to make it clear that Wellesley College rejects The Mapping Project for promoting anti-Semitism,” adding she was concerned that the project “poses a significant threat to the physical security of the Jewish community of Greater Boston, including neighbors and partners of the College….”
