Reader’s Links for August 11th, 2022

Each day at just after midnight Eastern, a post like this one is created for contributors and readers of this site to upload news links and video links on the issues that concern this site. Most notably, Islam and its effects on Classical Civilization, and various forms of leftism from Soviet era communism, to postmodernism and all the flavours of galloping statism and totalitarianism such as Nazism and Fascism which are increasingly snuffing out the classical liberalism which created our near, miraculous civilization the West has been building since the time of Socrates.

This document was written around the time this site was created, for those who wish to understand what this site is about. And while our understanding of the world and events has grown since then, the basic ideas remain sound and true to the purpose.

So please post all links, thoughts and ideas that you feel will benefit the readers of this site to the comments under this post each day. And thank you all for your contributions.

This is the new Samizdat. We must use it while we can.

  1. – I can go to bed, finally. –

This YouTube channel has the full spectrum of FOX evening shows. From Gutfeld to Ingraham. Here’s Tucker Carlson. Anyone wants to see tonight’s other shows, go to his account name.

  2. I had a strange day, today. Something happened before bed last night as I was turning off my computer. I couldn’t shut it down because an update was being installed. So, I waited and some five minutes later, I shut it down.

This morning, I can’t access any of my social media accounts. I couldn’t even log into my Hotmail account; I had to change the password. Then, once I accessed my Hotmail box, I see a notice that there was unusual activity last night.

My Proton account is inaccessible. I went to Daily Mail, same story, I had to sign back in and change password.

My twitter account no longer exists. I was not suspended. My password is reported as incorrect information. They told me to open a new account but I can’t because I would have to open two new email accounts and it is known they can trace it back to my computer.

I’m sad because I liked Twitter because of a few accounts that post short funny animal video clips. I can’t even access/see other people’s accounts that I followed.

    We live in dangerous times.

      • My mistake was clicking on the email link. Anyway, I’m seeing this as a good thing because Twitter is an addiction.

I was suspended back in 2020 for unknown reasons and it lasted for a good six months. The saying ‘Never twice without thrice’ applies in life. Still, I’ll be missing those short, interesting and/or funny animal video clips.

        Have a great day, Johnnyu.

  3. For the Rule of Law to Reign, the Bureau Must Be Destroyed
The FBI cannot be saved. It must be rendered into component parts and distributed to the four winds.

From the time I was 7-years-old until I was about 20, I was in love with the Federal Bureau of Investigation. In second grade, while other kids wanted to be firemen, I wanted to be a special agent (and I could have told you what one was, what they did, and what the requirements were to become one). In the early 1990s, my favorite show was “FBI: The Untold Stories,” and if we were not home from Cub Scouts in time for it to air, there was a tantrum on the way. I did a book report on a J. Edgar Hoover biography in middle school.

My zeal mellowed as I grew older but never entirely

My zeal mellowed as I grew older but never entirely disappeared. As I began my career looking at counterterrorism policy, I meticulously studied the FBI’s extensive investigation of the Holy Land Foundation, the largest Islamic charity in the country, which was successfully convicted of financing the terror group Hamas after more than a decade of FBI investigation (I’ve written two short monographs about aspects of the case).

Later I had the pleasure of providing a three-hour briefing on the ideology of Islamist terrorists for an FBI-led group of Joint Terrorism Task Forces (JTTF) agents, which included one of the agents who worked the Holy Land Foundation case. Several of my colleagues have signed certifications from the FBI in recognition of their work in counterterrorism education.

I say all this to establish that I am not some dyed-in-the-wool civil libertarian who has always had it in for federal law enforcement. I have spent most of my adult life trying to educate people about the serious national security threats this country faces. The United States has very real enemies, both foreign and domestic, and it requires defending.

Nevertheless, the FBI must be abolished.

Did Donald Trump Bait the FBI?

Areasonable question. Monday’s FBI raid at Trump’s Mar A Lago was very strange. Unlike previous FBI hits on people linked to Trump, such as Roger Stone, Paul Manafort, Peter Navarro and Steve Bannon, the establishment media was kept in the dark. They did not get a heads up. How did we learn about the raid? Trump announced it via his social media page around 1830 hours edt on Monday. Very strange.

Think about this. Not a single soul in the Trump universe who knew about the raid at Mar A Lago breathed a word about this unholy assault. Not one. And, surprisingly, the FBI kept its mouth shut. There is something more to this.

  4. The 2020 Election was stolen from the American people and President Trump. The FBI and DOJ were complicit when they turned the other way in states like Pennsylvania when crimes were committed.

In 2020 in Pennsylvania the FBI looked the other way when crimes were committed in Philadelphia as ballots were manufactured to make up for Joe Biden’s 700,000 ballot deficit to President Trump in the state.

In Philadelphia, Americans were physically and forcefully prevented from observing the election process and the FBI looked the other way.

Atruck driver reported that he drove a truckload of ballots from New York to Pennsylvania and it disappeared, and the FBI attacked the young whistleblower in response. Former AG Bill Barr wouldn’t protect the whistleblower as well.

Sean Hannity: According to my sources tonight, on Monday morning up to 40 FBI agents rolled up to Mar-a-Lago unannounced, guns ablaze, in about a dozen vehicles including a large moving truck. Over the course of the next several hours the agents went room by room scouring the property, boxing up every document they have in sight. They even rifled through Melania’s wardrobe. Agents also demanded the Mar-a-Lago staff turn off all security cameras. Well, we can tell you tonight those security cameras kept rolling. They were not shut off.

  6. QThe former Jeffrey Epstein attorney and current judge who signed off on the FBI warrant to raid President Trump’s personal residence is now ordering the FBI to release the warrant by August 15.

TGP reported on Tuesday that the judge who signed off on the warrant allowing the FBI to raid President Trump’s home, Mar-a-Lago, previously worked for pedophile and Clinton associate Jeffrey Epstein.

Late Wednesday night it was reported that the former Epstein judge who signed off on the warrant is giving the FBI till the 15th to produce the warrant. Americans want to know what reasoning the FBI had to storm a former President’s residence.

  8. Machine Gun Brandishing FBI Was Reportedly After a Cocktail Napkin, a Birthday Menu, Letters, Memos, Maps and More When Storming President Trump’s Mar-a-Lago
    By Joe Hoft
    Published August 11, 2022 at 8:45am
When the FBI stormed Mar-a-Lago they were reportedly after a cocktail napkin, letters, memos, maps and a birthday dinner menu.

The list of things that the FBI may have been after as leaked to the corrupt Washington Post includes the following random items. This is unconscionable.

But is that all the FBI was actually after? Color me skeptical given how corrupt that agency and politically weaponized the bureau is. Sure, the collection of those records may have been the convenient pretext they needed, and the only one they could legally acquire, in order to search Trump’s home. But you can bet that while they were there riffling through the entire premises for nearly half a day, they were searching for other things that could bolster the other pursuits against Trump. The FBI just needed to get into the door and they could do whatever they want.

Which only underscores how out of bounds the entire raid was. The justification is so paper-thin that it’s only logical to assume the FBI had other motives, and given the DOJ’s obvious coordination with the January 6th committee, wouldn’t that seem likely?

      • Nothing would surprise me – – the Clinton – Obama thugs. I remember when Obama ran the first time and a minister in Georgia said Obama was the Antichrist. I thought that was extreme and then he was elected and we saw him in action. Divide and conquer king. I never knew Americans were so bad until their first black President told the world just how racist and ugly they are. He was a disgrace.

      • Read the article I posted above about how Donald Trump baited the FBI into the raid.

Not saying it is right but trying to keep an open mind.

        • I read it. He was expecting it, also. The clue would have been the FBI putting a lock where docs were stored.

Did the FBI give Trump a key to the lock? No mention of it anywhere.

Now, they are saying they were looking for nuclear weapons documents. Please, give me a break! The more they try to extirpate themselves from their hole, the worst it looks.

The Stasi-FBI and Biden’s Department of Justice officials raided President Trump’s Mar-a-Lago home on Monday in a 9-and-a-half hour siege on his historic compound.

During the raid, the FBI forced Trump attorneys to sit OUTSIDE in the heat while they rummaged through every room in President Trump’s historic home.

  10. – ALUMINUM supply shortage coming up –

The second largest aluminum mill in the United States has idled operations, laying off about 600 American workers, due to “untenable” electricity and energy prices.

In June, Century Aluminum Co. executives announced that they would idle the Hawesville, Kentucky aluminum mill for about 9 to 12 months as a result of skyrocketing prices to merely keep the plant’s lights on.

    – I lost the Breibart link but here, :

Similarly, executives with two steel mills are suspending operations because they cannot afford the costs of energy to keep the plants open. This comes after executives warned federal regulators about debilitating energy prices months ago.

  11. – This was probably posted two days ago, but it is of general interest. Pfizer has a sudden interest in blood disorders. –

Thinking about it, this certainly does appear to be a purchase based on self-interest. The company that manufactured a product, potentially creating long-term issues with blood disorders (ie clotting), now purchases the company that specializes in the treatment of blood disorders.Am I the only one that sees this as sketchy?

Public rallies around gunman who surrendered after bank agreed to give him funds for father’s medical bills;amp;amp
An armed man has emerged as an unlikely hero in Lebanon after holding hostages in a central Beirut bank and demanding access to his own money – a move that generated broad public support.
Brandishing a rifle and threatening to douse himself with petrol, Bassam al-Sheikh Hussein, entered the Federal Bank branch about noon on Thursday and insisted on withdrawing part of his frozen savings of $210,000 (£172,000) to help pay for his father’s hospital bill.
Like nearly all Lebanese, the hostage taker’s funds have been off limits for more than two years. Banks, stricken by an economic crisis, have allowed depositors only token withdrawals of dollars each month that are insufficient to meet the most basic of needs.
News of the siege was quick to reach all parts of a country where nearly 80% of the population are now considered impoverished after the imposition of informal capital controls. Scenes of a defiant figure holding a bank to ransom resonated with hundreds of thousands of people held hostage by a staggering economic collapse that has crippled Lebanon and potentially wiped out billions of dollars in savings.
