Berenson nails MonkeyPox, Blofeld speaks, China’s economy, and ambitions to Taiwan: Links 1, May 23rd, 2022

1. Alex Berenson writes a post on Monkeypox which is politically incorrect but so factual that for now at least, short of revelations of gain of function work on it, this should really be the last word on the subject. Please click through to read the whole post. A small sample of which is below:

Once again, honesty is going to prove tough for the public health authorities

Are you a gay man?

Specifically, are you a gay man who likes sex with lots of other gay men? Maybe in a bathhouse? Maybe names optional? Maybe with a meth bump on the side?

No? Are you sure?

It’s cool if you are, no judgments. They’re called glory holes for a reason, people!

Still no?

Okay. Don’t worry about the monkeypox thing then.

You can almost feel the public health authorities squirming right now.

On the one hand, they’ve almost got another epidemic on the go – the perfect way to distract the shiny-haired robots in the media from the complete failure of the mRNA vaccines.

On the other, the monkeypox epidemic – stop me if you’ve heard this before – very much appears to be centered around the sexual practices of gay men. (And bisexual men, also known as gay men who want to pretend they’re straight.)

In this, monkeypox joins not just HIV, but syphilis, gonorrhea, and a bunch of other nasties. The state of California – that hyper-conservative hotspot – reports that gay men are hundreds of times more likely to get syphilis than straight men or women.

3. Once a liberal democracy, Canada is now an authoritarian state (NY Post, May 21st 2022)

Two decades ago, when I was 4 years old, my parents immigrated to Canada from India in search of greater freedoms, autonomy and economic opportunities. They’re core Canadian values — enshrined in our national anthem, which gloriously heralds “The True North strong and free.”

However, the past two years have seen a near complete erosion of the foundational liberal values that have attracted millions of immigrants like myself to this country.

Under the once-righteous guise of COVID safety and online protections, the Canadian government has taken its power to extreme levels once only imaginable — let alone permissible — in a dissent-stifling authoritarian state.

The control has extended to nearly every element of Canadian society, but nowhere more so than in our everyday personal lives. Take my own case contending with Canada’s COVID bureaucracy a few months back.

I was returning to Canada from the US when multiple Air Canada employees refused to let me on the plane. Although I had a negative COVID test, the government was suddenly requiring even returning citizens to be vaccinated (unvaccinated foreigners were already barred from entering).

4. The WEF seems confident in the Chinese economy. For some reason.

(The comments are quite revealing at Youtube)

5. Speaking of China, it might be time for Taiwan to invest in some anti missile and anti aircraft tech

Thank you all for your patronage. Please check the comments under the daily reader’s links posts which appear every midnight ET on this site. Much which is there is worth seeing as time constraints make it impossible to post it all to the main pages.

    • China owns CGTN.
When Kasuko warned me from Japan at the end of 2019 that something like SARS was happening, I signed up for CGTN and other English-language [dis]info sources. Had to trash that email acct.

  1. Too late for Taiwan to clean house. It’s riddled with rot. Built on sand, paid for with profits from partnership with mainland CHY-na.

This isn’t scrappy little Hong Kong. Nor a country that prioritized self-defense from Day One, like Singapore.

The power and money on the island is CHY-na. That’s open source info. Pix of Taiwanese celebrating at banquets with the ChiCom Politburo are all over the web.

For example, check out Elaine Chou’s family. She’s U.S. Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell’s Taiwanese-American wife. PTrump appointed her to serve as Transportation Secretary in his Cabinet.

The mixed messages make you queasy. “Horse-trading” – just doin’ biz – is terminal Roman Republic era corruption. Next up: the Horsemen of the Apocalypse.

  2. 2)

The only thing missing by his speech was the crowd shouting “Sieg Heil, Sieg Heil, Sieg Heil”
I guess they were told not to, because it would otherwise wake up the Sheople to what is really going on.
