Reader’s Links for April 19th, 2022

Each day at just after midnight Eastern, a post like this one is created for contributors and readers of this site to upload news links and video links on the issues that concern this site. Most notably, Islam and its effects on Classical Civilization, and various forms of leftism from Soviet era communism, to postmodernism and all the flavours of galloping statism and totalitarianism such as Nazism and Fascism which are increasingly snuffing out the classical liberalism which created our near, miraculous civilization the West has been building since the time of Socrates.

This document was written around the time this site was created, for those who wish to understand what this site is about. And while our understanding of the world and events has grown since then, the basic ideas remain sound and true to the purpose.

So please post all links, thoughts and ideas that you feel will benefit the readers of this site to the comments under this post each day. And thank you all for your contributions.

This is the new Samizdat. We must use it while we can.

  1. “So, whaddaya think of Elon Musk now?” I asked the cabbage-munching unit at Easter dinner. Formerly a cognizant human being, this blood relative had been mentacided by propaganda into a thoroughly compliant automaton. Fittingly, he had ceded his conscience to the higher authority of unelected Dystopian bureaucrats and captured media. No longer sovereign, he was unable to compute the ostensibly new Elon. Musk, formerly the darling of climate-change champions for his electric cars, was now presenting badly for his desire to free Twitter.

Our conversation degraded into an argument. I had displeased the unit. Censorship was required to prevent trolls from disseminating disinformation, it claimed. Musk probably has Aspergers and is socially retarded, it said. My probing of this stance brought more consternation. Suddenly I thought I heard an internal spring go “sproing”, and a slim ribbon of grey smoke rose up behind its head. Its eyes flashed. It quickly turned to ad hominem attack. It accused me of being a troll. Eat your cabbage, I replied. I will stick to meat.

I regret arguing and vow to avoid it next time. But familial friction at Easter dinner results when a unit doesn’t check its political tinsel at the door. Sure, we all miss a few strands, but this is a human shortcoming. Units are fully adorned, always. Honest, private opinions behind closed doors can be perilous in the company of such machines.

Collectivists try to keep private knowledge private by using fear and intimidation. They control public knowledge through cancel culture. They do this because they are afraid of public knowledge becoming common knowledge, which is when tyranny gets Ceauscescu’d. The Romanian people saved themselves.

Franz Kafka wrote about bureaucracy. One thing he said about it is that it is always essentially the same animal no matter the time or the place. Maybe he deserves some rereading, because we are facing a governmental Godzilla the likes of which the world has never before seen. One-world government? Really? Under the CCP model? Are they serious? Yes, they are, and it’s called Agenda 2030.

The German people did not save themselves from fascism. They required external forces to do it for them. In Romania, conversely, public knowledge gave way to common knowledge by way of a specific catalyst. This was when enough people had gathered in a protective human chain around Reverend Laszlo Tokes’ house. The state was out to get him. When enough people saw eachother all at once, on the same side against tyranny and all out together in public, it suddenly integrated their disparate selves into the common knowledge that there were enough of them to stand up. They had reached a critical mass. Ignition came quickly after this realization, and the freedom fire spread. The private, public, and common knowledge dynamic had evolved into its greater sum on the wings of Romanians’ courage.

Dear Leader’s politbureau became aware of this same dynamic only after the truckers descended on Ottawa. Initially caught off guard, it explains why it came down so hard with the Emergencies Act. Too many people seeing eachother with the common knowledge that they were being held hostage under a rotten regime was simply too dangerous. Drastic measures were required to prevent a critical mass from forming, which almost happened. The truckers’ leadership lacked articulation in messaging a world whose attention it had miraculously caught. Media counter-narratives quickly found footing on this terrain and began spewing disinformation. The government was spared death.

It is assuredly vigilant, now, looking for more sources of rebellion. This is why one of the instigators of the convoy, Pat King, remains jailed. This is also why the Alberta pastor Artur Pawlowski keeps getting jailed and harrassed. Tyranny fears sparks and must do all it can to put them out.

  4. OT/ My machine is sick again. Looks like the display is shot. (Oh, woe!)
I have an emergency machine, but it’s prone to panic attacks. (Poor thing!)
So don’t worry if I suddenly stop posting. We’ll sort this out.
