Reader’s Links for April 9th, 2022

Each day at just after midnight Eastern, a post like this one is created for contributors and readers of this site to upload news links and video links on the issues that concern this site. Most notably, Islam and its effects on Classical Civilization, and various forms of leftism from Soviet era communism, to postmodernism and all the flavours of galloping statism and totalitarianism such as Nazism and Fascism which are increasingly snuffing out the classical liberalism which created our near, miraculous civilization the West has been building since the time of Socrates.

This document was written around the time this site was created, for those who wish to understand what this site is about. And while our understanding of the world and events has grown since then, the basic ideas remain sound and true to the purpose.

So please post all links, thoughts and ideas that you feel will benefit the readers of this site to the comments under this post each day. And thank you all for your contributions.

This is the new Samizdat. We must use it while we can.

    • Thank you Johnny, I have learned a lot from your posts.

Covid has been sooooo convenient for cockroaches. Event 201, October 18, 2019. – – News from Wuhan China, Nov. 6, 2019. – – two people being isolated ………….

A bird in your hand is where you wanna be.
No gold and silver on paper
It’s not where you should be.

      Crank radios are good.

Overcast again today, but you make me smile. Have a sweet day.

  1. Walking the dog this morning I saw tiny green buds forming on the tree branches. From the thawing ground are rising the most modest of shoots. I don’t know enough about plants to recognize what these are, but they’re fighting for their little lives. I have no doubt they will succeed in emerging. Mother Nature has a wicked sense of humour, as does truth, the only universal element not on periodic table:

    • From the beginning, I have said adults should stop acting like whining little kids – – think about the children. Everyone will die some day and all the fear promoting media, politicians and so called “healthcare” officials are guilty of this …………..

  2. New York (CNN Business)Discovery’s merger with WarnerMedia took effect on Friday afternoon, creating a streaming media giant led by CEO David Zaslav.
The deal combines two treasure troves of content and foreshadows further changes in the streaming era.
The newly formed company, Warner Bros. Discovery, will begin publicly trading on Monday. Zaslav said he will hold a town hall event for employees of the combined company later in the week.

“I am confident that our collective energy and genuine love for these businesses and brands will build the world’s most dynamic media and entertainment company,” Zaslav said in a memo to employees Friday afternoon.

Zaslav said Warner Bros. Discovery “can propel the creation of high-quality content; create more opportunity for under-represented storytellers and independent creators; and serve customers with more innovative video experiences and points of engagement.”

  3. The latest data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) shows that the worst-off counties in the United States for new cases of the Wuhan coronavirus (COVID-19) are those with the highest rates of “vaccination” for the disease. In 500 counties where 62 to 95 percent of the population has gotten injected for the Fauci Flu detected more than 75 new “cases” of the disease per 100,000 residents this past week. Conversely, in 500 counties where only between 11 and 40 percent of the population got the jab, only 58 cases per 100,000 residents were detected.

  4. Early in 2022, health professionals including doctors, dentists, naturopaths, chiropractors, and Chinese medicine doctors were ordered by Dr. Bonnie Henry and the John Horgan government to be vaccinated by March 24, or stop practicing medicine. Many of these groups lawyered up, and the government has completely backed down on the threat to force these health professionals to stop working. The corporate, mainstream media have largely ignored the facts around this story.

Following are nine quotes from a letter from the Kelowna law firm Doak Shirreff to the Legal Services Branch of the B.C. Government. The firm was hired by a group of psychologists who had been threatened by Dr. Henry’s order. The information in this letter is remarkable in that it is so different from what the people of British Columbia and Canada are constantly told by our media and our governments:

3… “Careful inspection of … recent data from Public Health Ontario also shows higher rates of COVID-19 in the double vaccinated population than the unvaccinated population, even when adjusted per capita.”

  5. More COVID insanity
WHO will assume total control of future pandemics. Medical doctor was forced to spend 25 days in a psych hospital because he said vaccines were unsafe. 15 players exit Miami Open tennis tournament.

  6. Attorney Todd Callender, CEO of a large insurance group, is warning that excess mortality and “every kind of disease” is skyrocketing among the “fully vaccinated” for the Wuhan coronavirus (COVID-19). So, Will everyone who got “vaccinated” for COVID be dead by 2025?

Callender spoke via a video call about how excess mortality is up 84 percent while excess diseases are up 1,100 percent. In 2022 alone, he said, his company is expecting a 5,000 percent increase in deaths, compliments of Operation Warp Speed.

“I happen to be in the morbidity business,” Callender explained during the call. “I don’t think that it’s by coincidence, by the way, that Moderna has now just received licensure of their emergency use authorization HIV vaccine. So, they gave everybody AIDS, and here’s your salvation, another vaccine.”

  7. Ottawa’s mayor is calling on the Ontario government to make masks mandatory once again in essential settings like grocery stores, pharmacies, schools and on public transit.

And Jim Watson says he has asked city staff to see whether the city of Ottawa can implement its own mandatory mask policy for OC Transpo buses and the O-Train once the provincial mandate ends later this month.

“We’ve got to kill this virus once and for all, and we can’t do it if we take away some of the tools that doctors tell us are the most effective tools keeping us safe,” Watson said.

  8. Donald Trump is back in the Bronx.

A state Supreme Court judge ruled Friday that the city did not have the right to cancel Trump’s contract to run the Ferry Point Golf Course. Mayor Bill de Blasio had nixed the deal after the Jan. 6, 2021, Capitol riot, arguing that Trump would not be able to attract golf tournaments.

In her decision and order filed on Friday, Justice Debra James said there was nothing in the contract that required a tournament — only that the city would share in any proceeds. That means either Trump gets to continue to run the course, or the city needs to pay him to leave. Trump’s son Eric said they’ll stay.

“The judge didn’t buy their nonsense and this is a well-reasoned and appropriate decision and we look forward to running the best golf course for years to come,” Eric Trump said.

  9. Oregon has joined the list of states suing a pair of Illinois businesses that allegedly provided inaccurate COVID-19 tests.

The suit alleges that the Center for Covid Control LLC and Doctors Clinical Laboratory, Inc. falsely represented themselves as qualified to conduct COVID-19 testing and violated Oregon’s Unlawful Trade Practices Act.

The lawsuit alleges that the married couple who own the Center for Covid Control funneled money from the testing operation to themselves. One of the owners, Akbar Ali Syded, reportedly spent millions on multiple luxury cars, including two Lamborghinis, a Tesla Model Y and a Ferrari Enzo.

  10. U.S. deep-state operatives are lying about the legitimacy of sensitive national security intelligence to secure political outcomes.

Under President Joe Biden’s direction, intelligence officials have begun a declassifying spree that leverages information “even when the confidence in the accuracy of the information wasn’t high” to influence foreign and domestic policy. The Biden administration is using “rarely definitive” intelligence to deal with foreign threats such as Russia and China.

  11. STIRING-WENDEL, France — Marine Le Pen, the far-right leader making her third attempt to become president of France, already had the backing of voters who came to listen to her recently in Stiring-Wendel, a former coal-mining town struggling to reinvent itself.

But after a 40-minute speech focusing on the rising cost of living, Ms. Le Pen succeeded in doing what even few of her supporters would have predicted just months ago: impressing them. Voters trickling out of an auditorium into the cold evening said she had become “less extreme,” more “mature” and “self-assured” — even “presidential.”

“She has softened, she is more composed, calmer, more serene,” said Yohan Brun, 19, a student who grew up in Stiring-Wendel and had come to listen to Ms. Le Pen because “she cares more about the French people than the other candidates.”

As France votes on Sunday, polls are predicting that this election will be a rematch of the previous one, pitting Ms. Le Pen against President Emmanuel Macron in a second-round showdown. But that does not mean that precisely the same Ms. Le Pen is running.

    • XANTHIPPA: Tomorrow will be quite exciting as voter turnout is the key. I read that 30% of the people might not vote.

Zemmour’s strategy to get rid of Macron just might pay off: he got rid of Pécresse, he took in Marion Maréchal (Marine’s daughter) to attract the young voters, all while having no intention of winning the Presidency (nor sticking around thereafter). This all favors Marine as a less radical and more presidential option in the second and last round where his voter base will vote for Marine.

Zemmour campaigned in the cities while Marine was out in the countryside in smaller towns.

As of now, Zemmour is at 0.9%, while Marine stands at 24.5% and Macron at 26%. Melenchon is somewhere around 16% and his voter base will not turn out for Macron.

      From Marine’s Twitter feed:
We will put France back in the concert of Nations, we will promote this wonderful means of exchange that is the Francophonie, and we will reform the European Union to replace it with a European Alliance of Nations.

  12. reuters – Peru protest death toll hits five as fuel price rises stoke anger

Peruvian authorities said on Wednesday that a fifth person has died in recent anti-government protests sparked by rising fuel prices, a sign of how the global energy crunch linked to the war in Ukraine is stoking unrest in countries around the world.

[…]The protests were triggered by rising fuel and fertilizer costs due to sanctions on Russia, which invaded Ukraine in late February.

[…]Those protests turned violent at night with looting reported in several government buildings.

CNN – Peru protests show the wide impact of Putin’s war

An ongoing wave of violent protests in Peru shows how the Russian invasion of Ukraine is affecting markets around the world, sparking unrest and deepening political divides.

[…]But while Peru has been a fertile ground for protests in recent years, this crisis was triggered as a direct consequence of the war in Ukraine.

[…]As a result, Peru’s inflation in March was the highest in 26 years, according to the country’s Institute of Statistics. The segment most exposed was food and fuel, with prices up 9.54% since last year, the Peruvian Central Bank reported.

[…]Peru does not have the capacity to control the international price of oil. As the conflict in Ukraine continues to rage, the current inflation climate is forecast to continue.

the gateway pundit – MASSIVE Protests Against Communist President as Inflation Surges and Food Shortages Hit Peru — Protesters Hurl Rocks at Police Buses, Loot Milk Truck

TENS OF THOUSANDS took to the streets to protest Communist President Pedro Castillo as inflation soars and food shortages hit Peru.

    https://twitter.com/aginnt/status/1512144500851945479

Peru on Thursday declared a one-month state of emergency on all its highways in a bid to clear road blocks set up by truckers protesting against price increases. The measure allows for the army to be deployed to clear the blockades, while also suspending certain constitutional rights such as freedom of movement and assembly.

The decree, published in the official newspaper, said “the police will keep control of internal order, with help from the armed forces.” Hundreds of truckers and farm workers have been blocking roads throughout the country since Monday to protest rising fuel and fertilizer prices.

Clashes between protesters and police in Ica some 300 kilometers (185 miles) south of Lima left one farm worker dead and 15 people injured, mostly police officers. Tensions had been building all week with President Pedro Castillo’s imposition of a 24-hour curfew in Lima on Tuesday backfiring and having to be called off six hours early.

  13. global news – Who’s most vulnerable to disinformation?

Online conspiracies and disinformation are eroding the very fundamentals of our democracy.

They affect what we believe, who we trust and who we vote for.

What is the next front in this fight, and how prepared is the next generation to be vigilant about how much social media is warping the line between truth and lies?

    The answer may surprise you.

For The New Reality, Dawna Friesen sits down with digital democracy advocate and educator Jesse Miller to find out who in Canada is most vulnerable to misinformation.

  14. Pakistan’s Prime Minister Imran Khan has been ousted from power after losing a no-confidence vote in his leadership.

The vote was held past midnight after opposition parties brought a motion against him, which was upheld by the Supreme Court.

Mr Khan had said he would not recognise an opposition government, claiming – without evidence – that there was a US-led conspiracy to remove him.

The assembly will now appoint a new prime minister.

That person will be able to hold power until October 2023 when the next election is due to be held.

Mr Khan becomes the first Pakistani prime minister to be ousted by a no-confidence vote.

  15. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has been making a virtual world tour with video hookups to parliaments around the globe, as well as to the Grammy Awards and the U.N. Security Council, sometimes with troublesome results.

On Thursday a major row erupted when Zelensky brought along a Ukrainian soldier of Greek heritage from the city of Mariupol, who just happened to be a member of the ne0-Nazi Azov Regiment. Greece was under Nazi occupation during World War II and fought a bitter partisan war against Nazism (later to be betrayed by Britain and the United States.)

With Zelensky in the screen, the man, who gave only his first name, told Parliament: “I speak to you as a man of Greek descent. My name is Michail. My grandfather fought against the Nazis in the Second World War. I am born in Mariupol and I am now also fighting to defend my city from the Russian nazis.”

  16. What could make Kid Rock’s already anti-Fauci, anti-Biden message even better? How about a message from former President Donald Trump? Sounds good to me!

Fortunately for all of us, that’s just what happened: Kid Rock kicked off his new tour with an awesome message from the former president, a president whose base shares quite a few members with Rock’s audience. In the message, which can be viewed here, Trump said:

“Hello everyone. I love you all. I know you’re having a great time at the Kid Rock concert tonight. Quite frankly, he’s amazing. All of you in attendance are the true backbone of our great country. Hardworking, God fearing, rock and roll patriots.
