Here is why the protestors won

And no, I don’t mean a pyrrhic victory although yeah, i’d take that. Not a “the grapes are sour anyway” victory either. I mean a real one.

The protestors, led by many of Canada’s truck operators, forced what many of us knew was an authoritarian communist state to show its fangs. And this is a major victory for a state that was operating under what may as well be called a Fabian Society set of principles.

For those not familiar with the Fabians, they believed in turning the West communist but by stealth and without visible force. Their logo is literally a wolf in sheep’s clothing.

Using lies and other forms of information warfare which has become the truck and trade of mainstream media across the formerly free world. Especially Canada where the CBC, CTV, and Global News craft the next day’s narratives in advance and then go get the footage they need to force that view. Probably one of the most repugnant reports on one of their methods recently is this one:

So make no mistake. Ripping the sheepskin off the wolf for all the world to see, that was an enormous victory. The people of the world now simply have no excuse not to understand the nature of Covid policies and the actions of Western governments now. Anyone who doesn’t join the fight back against the state that explained that it was two weeks to flatten the curve two years ago, and 30 days of emergency measures to flatten the right to protest the rulers, well its on them. But the skin was yanked off and we know its a wolf.

And as a result, there is a tad less lying. Deputy Viceroy Freeland has already declared the financial measures permanent…

…and the police chief has said that anyone who actively supported the protestors, whatever that means, which means whatever he wants it to as needs be, will be punished without due process, investigated without warrant, and treated as a criminal using retroactive tools to determine criminality, post hoc.

Yes, the state now determines that yesterday’s perfectly legal actions are now a crime. Worse than pre-crime, this is how growing a potato today makes you a vegetable criminal tomorrow.

So yes. Its a victory. Pick a side and get to work.

  1. If the police/army are to be deployed to break up the Truckers, why not just go home, park up the trucks and refuse to move “stuff”. When the supermarket shelves are empty, the “elite” will have to capitulate. Just a suggestion. The convoys are visually impactful but there are many ways to skin a cat.

    • If your method was implemented. Could you see the gov use their propaganda organs to whip up the people to turn on the truckers and blame them for their loss off food? Divide us more?

    • That’s always a tough one. A “truckers strike” would likely cause many ordinary Canadians to suffer, and I agree with Maplewood that it would turn popular sentiment against the truckers before their movement ever got off the ground. This *might* be a play later on if the government crackdowns get worse and impact more Canadians. But a sufficient number of people have to get disgusted enough with the government that they are willing to endure deprivations of supplies in support of the greater cause.

    Excerpt:

Washington learned other lessons along the path to victory that have wider leadership application:

    1. Strategic retreats to regroup and rethink are better than risking all on major engagements.

    2. Small wins that keep morale alive are vital.

    3. Don’t make decisions when emotions are high.

    4. The supply chain is critical to front-line success.

  4. Agreed, it is a victory for having changed the political landscape of Canada, and for starting in motion a worldwide political earthquake.

But watch how this legacy media snake oil salesman, Evan Solomon, disparages the truckers oh-so-subtly. By choosing to interview a relatively inarticulate protester, rather than seeking a voice capable of eloquently articulating the issues, he is disingenuous.

If truth is Solomon’s master, rather than collectivist dialectic, why does he not seek out Viva Frei, for example? Few observers of the protest in the last three weeks have been as intrepid and accessible to offer comment as he. Few are as informed. Ironically, Frei repeatedly refuted the idea he was a journalist as he offered the world unfettered transparency and uncensored observations. Solomon, conversely, edits out this interview at the start where the trucker says legacy media doesn’t give Canadians the true story, yet he stands at the apex of Canadian “journalism”. Why?

If Solomon has any intellectual integrity he will reach out to Viva Frei. Certainly, any legacy journalist who was permitted to stand behind police lines, as protesters were fed pepper spray, batons and rubber bullets, can offer Canadians a counter-revolutionary perspective to events.

If only he has the courage.

    • Truth, honesty, integrity are words I would never use in a sentence with Evan Solomon’s name. Why did CBC fire him, art deals. LOL

  5. CBC – Sell vehicles towed during protest to cover city’s costs, says Watson

Emergencies Act gives city that power, mayor says

Ottawa’s mayor says any vehicles seized during the police crackdown on the occupation of the downtown should be sold to cover costs incurred by the city.

“We actually have the ability to confiscate those vehicles and sell them,” Mayor Jim Watson said Saturday.

“And I want to see them sold. I don’t want the return to these people who’ve been causing such frustration and angst in our community.”

The mayor told CBC News that Ottawa has that power due to the Emergencies Act, which was invoked by the federal government last week.

Watson said he’s been pleased by the level of professionalism shown by law enforcement since officers began stepping up their efforts Friday to clear the protest. But he also said he worries about demonstrators who have been “taunting police, being completely irresponsible, and don’t want to seem to leave.”

Police officers from several forces across the country retook Wellington Street from protesters Saturday, clearing the crowd around the National War Memorial, herding them away from the parliamentary precinct and then down O’Connor Street.

As of Saturday afternoon, 47 more people had been arrested, bringing the overall total to 170. Dozens of vehicles have also been towed.

On Saturday evening, hundreds of protesters pooled at the corner of Bank and Sparks streets, with a line of officers standing firm.

They were eventually moved south, closer to Queen Street. By 10 p.m., the crowd had significantly thinned out, with fencing installed in the area.

“As night falls, it is unsafe to stay,” Ottawa police tweeted on Saturday. “Get out of the cold and cease further unlawful activity.”

East of downtown, protesters could be seen taking down part of the supply camp they’d set up in a Coventry Road parking lot next to the city-run baseball stadium.

By evening, much of the camp was gone, although some protesters told CBC they planned to regroup elsewhere.

    Suffering ‘absolutely unacceptable’

Meanwhile, police said emergency phone lines had been flooded by calls with complaints about the operations underway downtown.

Zexi Li, an Ottawa resident who helped launch a class-action lawsuit against the convoy organizers, said the weekend’s action has been sorely needed as many residents have been distressed for weeks.

“While I think the response is long overdue, it’s definitely a relief either way,” she said.

The suffering that Ottawa residents have endured has been “absolutely unacceptable,” Li said, adding it was downplayed by law enforcement and various levels of government for far too long.

Watson also said Saturday that independent reviews, already planned on both the federal and municipal levels, are needed to see how the protest spiralled out of control and how to stop similar occupations from happening again.

“You can’t come to Ottawa anymore and shut down our city for four weeks,” he said.

  6. I think your analysis is spot-on Eeyore. Turdoe was always a globalist dictator, and the normal rules of a civil democratic society had already been degraded and suspended. They just wouldn’t come right out and say it. This proves their true nature and intentions. There isn’t much room left for denial or claims of “conspiracy theories” – except for the diehard Kool-Aid drinkers – nothing will change their minds. They will make excuses even as they are being loaded onto the boxcars.

  7. Clever! Justin and Freeland used the Trucker’s Rally as the vehicle to surreptitiously usher in the Chinese Communist Social Credit System by taking over the financial operations of all Canadians! We are now at the mercy of these Communist despots.
    I wager not for long!
