Reader’s Links for October 15, 2021

Each day at just after midnight Eastern, a post like this one is created for contributors and readers of this site to upload news links and video links on the issues that concern this site. Most notably, Islam and its effects on Classical Civilization, and various forms of leftism from Soviet era communism, to postmodernism and all the flavours of galloping statism and totalitarianism such as Nazism and Fascism which are increasingly snuffing out the classical liberalism which created our near, miraculous civilization the West has been building since the time of Socrates.

This document was written around the time this site was created, for those who wish to understand what this site is about. And while our understanding of the world and events has grown since then, the basic ideas remain sound and true to the purpose.

So please post all links, thoughts and ideas that you feel will benefit the readers of this site to the comments under this post each day. And thank you all for your contributions.

This is the new Samizdat. We must use it while we can.

  1. CBC – Doctor who says he gave ivermectin to rural Alberta COVID-19 patients prompts warning from health authority

Fill-in doctor is spreading misinformation, Alberta Health Services says

A doctor who was filling in at a rural Alberta hospital says he treated three COVID-19 patients with ivermectin, triggering a warning from the provincial health authority about the dangers of the controversial drug.

In a video circulating on social media, Vancouver-based Dr. Daniel Nagase says he administered ivermectin in September to patients at the hospital in Rimbey, Alta.

Nagase claims provincial health officials are “withholding a life-saving medication from an entire province.”

Ivermectin is often used to rid livestock of parasites. It has not been approved for use in either Canada or the United States for the treatment of coronaviruses and no clinical studies have proven whether it can slow or stop the spread of the coronavirus responsible for COVID-19 in humans.

Alberta Health Services (AHS) has received complaints about Nagase, who has worked as a fill-in doctor at the Rimbey Hospital and Care Centre, 65 kilometres northwest of Red Deer. AHS says he is spreading misinformation.

“Neither the veterinary nor human drug versions of ivermectin has been deemed safe or effective for use in treating or preventing COVID-19,” reads an AHS statement issued earlier this week.

Using the veterinary version “can pose potentially serious health problems if consumed by humans,” AHS said.

“It is extremely disappointing that someone would spread misinformation about COVID-19 treatment in this way, and suggest that AHS is withholding treatment for patients.”

CBC News repeatedly called Nagase’s office but was told he would not be accepting interviews from CBC about his use of ivermectin or the claims made in the video.

AHS said Nagase is “not scheduled to work as a locum [fill-in] in AHS” and added that because of the complaints, a review will be done.

In the video, posted Monday, Nagase is shown delivering a speech on Oct. 1 at a Vancouver event marking the 75th anniversary of the Nuremberg trials.

In the video, Nagase said the three COVID-19 patients in Rimbey had “deteriorated overnight” and were being treated with oxygen and steroids.

Nagase said he asked for ivermectin to be provided by the Red Deer Hospital’s central pharmacy but was denied and warned the drug should not be used on COVID-19 patients.

Nagase said he sought the help of a “town pharmacist” who acquired ivermectin for him.

“He couldn’t get it from his usual chemical supply because it was a Saturday. He had to get it from an agricultural supply,” Nagase says in the video. “He went to the Co-op store.”

In the video, Nagase claims the drug worked quickly on the patients, allowing all three to leave the hospital within a week. Two of the patients, he claims, were “almost completely better” within 18 hours.

Nagase says that within hours of administering the ivermectin, an AHS medical director barred his patients from receiving the drug or any of the other medications he had prescribed them.

He said he was removed from the hospital, and “relieved” of his medical duties the following day.

He claims there is “something malicious” about the care being provided to COVID-19 patients in Alberta hospitals.

Dr. Keith Wolstenholme, an orthopedic surgeon at the Red Deer hospital, says Nagase appears to have gone “rogue” and ignored the medical evidence surrounding ivermectin.

Wolstenholme said the misuse of ivermectin in humans can cause myriad dangerous symptoms.

Physicians are sworn to use evidence-based medicine, he said.

“To have a physician … secure ivermectin from alternative sources and then give it to patients, it’s dangerous, potentially dangerous to those patients, and it’s certainly dangerous to the public.”

Wolstenholme said doctors who spread misinformation put the public at risk by undermining the confidence in trusted medical science.

“We have what was assumed to be a trusted health-care professional really providing bad advice.”

The B.C. College of Physicians and Surgeons lists Nagase, who graduated from Dalhousie University in 2004, as actively practising as a family physician in Vancouver.

In a statement to CBC News, the Alberta College of Physicians and Surgeons said it is aware of Nagase’s claims but cannot disclose information related to matters that may be under investigation.

Ivermectin has been used in veterinary medicine for more than 30 years. The form used on humans is on the World Health Organization’s list of essential medicines because it is safe, inexpensive and effective — and has proven to be life-saving for treating some illnesses caused by parasites.

COVID-19 is caused by a virus, not parasites.

The drug has been widely and wrongly promoted as a cure for COVID-19, leading to shortages in Canada for those who may need it. Quantities of the drug have been limited since January.

Health Canada recently issued an advisory asking people not to take the drug to treat COVID-19 after reports that some people were taking its veterinary form.

Alberta’s poison hotline, the AHS Poison and Drug Information Service (PADIS), has reported a recent spike in the number of calls from people who got sick after taking ivermectin.

PADIS medical director Dr. Mark Yarema was part of the AHS scientific advisory group that looked at ivermectin. The group issued a document emphasizing that the drug is not approved for the treatment or prevention of COVID-19.

“We’ve had at least nine months now of evidence … and we just haven’t seen any good, conclusive data that suggests that it is the thing that is making people better from COVID,” Yarema said.

People who become sick after misusing ivermectin are generally treated with fluids, anti-nauseants and pain medication, Yarema said.

“It would be very similar to treating a stomach flu or a gastroenteritis,” he said.

  2. zero hedge – Sanjay Gupta Tucks Tail Back At CNN After Disastrous Rogan Interview

To the surprise of absolutely nobody, CNN is in major damage control mode after Joe Rogan slammed the network over their coverage of his use of Ivermectin as part of a cocktail he used to treat Covid-19

    […]

    […]

[…]Meanwhile, as we noted last month regarding Ivermectin (and worth repeating):

This widely prescribed anti-parasitic which is also used in horses has shown massive efficacy worldwide in the treatment of mild and moderate cases of Covid-19, plus as a prophylactic.

India’s Uttar Pradesh province, with a population of over 200 million, says that widespread early use of Ivermectin ‘helped keep positivity [and] deaths low.’

Separately, there have been several studies funded by the Indian government, primarily conducted through their largest govt. public medical university (AIIMS).

    —————————————————-
Role of ivermectin in the prevention of SARS-CoV-2 infection among healthcare workers in India: A matched case-control study (source)

Conclusion: Two-dose ivermectin prophylaxis at a dose of 300 ?g/kg with a gap of 72 hours was associated with a 73% reduction of SARS-CoV-2 infection among healthcare workers for the following month.

Ivermectin as a potential treatment for mild to moderate COVID-19 – A double blind randomized placebo-controlled trial (source)

Conclusion: There was no difference in the primary outcome i.e. negative RT-PCR status on day 6 of admission with the use of ivermectin. However, a significantly higher proportion of patients were discharged alive from the hospital when they received ivermectin.
    ————————————————————

Clinical Research Report Ivermectin in combination with doxycycline for treating COVID-19 symptoms: a randomized trial (source, double-blind randomized, peer-reviewed)

Discussion: In the present study, patients with mild or moderate COVID-19 infection treated with ivermectin in combination with doxycycline generally recovered 2 days earlier than those treated with placebo. The proportion of patients responding within 7 days of treatment was significantly higher in the treatment group than in the placebo group. The proportions of patients who remained symptomatic after 12 days of illness and who experienced disease progression were significantly lower in the treatment group than in the placebo group.

Here are more human studies from other countries on the ‘horse dewormer’:

    Peru:
Sharp Reductions in COVID-19 Case Fatalities and Excess Deaths in Peru in Close Time Conjunction, State-By-State, with Ivermectin Treatments
(source, peer-reviewed, University of Toronto, Universidad EAFIT)
For the 24 states with early IVM treatment (and Lima), excess deaths dropped 59% (25%) at +30 days and 75% (25%) at +45 days after day of peak deaths. Case fatalities likewise dropped sharply in all states but Lima

The effect of early treatment with ivermectin on viral load, symptoms and humoral response in patients with non-severe COVID-19: A pilot, double-blind, placebo-controlled, randomized clinical trial (source, University of Barcelona, peer-reviewed)
    Findings: Patients in the ivermectin group recovered earlier from hyposmia/anosmia (76 vs 158 patient-days; p < 0.001).

A Comparative Study on Ivermectin-Doxycycline and Hydroxychloroquine-Azithromycin Therapy on COVID-19 Patients (source – peer reviewed, though not govt funded)
Conclusion: According to our study, the Ivermectin-Doxycycline combination therapy has better symptomatic relief, shortened recovery duration, fewer adverse effects, and superior patient compliance compared to the Hydroxychloroquine-Azithromycin combination. Based on this study’s outcomes, the Ivermectin-Doxycycline combination is a superior choice for treating patients with mild to moderate COVID-19 disease.

A five-day course of ivermectin for the treatment of COVID-19 may reduce the duration of illness (source, peer-reviewed double blind randomized, though small sample size)
Discussion: A 5-day course of ivermectin resulted in an earlier clearance of the virus compared to placebo (p = 0.005), thus indicating that early intervention with this agent may limit viral replication within the host. In the 5-day ivermectin group, there was a significant drop in CRP and LDH by day 7, which are indicators of disease severity.

A new phase of COVID-19 vaccine trials is set to begin for children as young as six months by the end of October.

    • Vaccine pioneer says rules ‘don’t apply’ to unaccountable, ‘corrupt’ Fauci, FDA

Pfizer was given the go-ahead with ‘grossly incomplete data,’ Dr. Robert Malone explained in an interview with LifeSiteNews.

      +VIDEO

Regulatory agencies including the CDC and FDA are “profoundly corrupt” and have pushed experimental Covid vaccines on the population with “grossly incomplete” data that does not meet even the bare minimum standards for safety, mRNA vaccine inventor Robert Malone said in an exclusive interview with LifeSiteNews.

After reviewing Pfizer’s Covid vaccine data presented to the Japanese government, Malone said he was “shocked” and “demoralized” at what he discovered. The agencies allowed the pharmaceutical giant with a criminal track record to proceed with human trials and granted Emergency Use Authorization for its Covid vaccine based on its “grossly inadequate information package.”

The company appeared to have simply “cobbled together information that they’d obtained with other RNAs and other vaccines and put it in as a package in lieu of doing the actual studies,” said Malone, a vaccinologist whose main work has been in assembling and coaching teams to solve public health problems, often but not exclusively, for the government.

Malone said he was so shocked by Pfizer’s poor data that he had another senior regulatory affairs person review it to confirm his observations.

“It’s profoundly demoralizing,” the scientist said, adding that from his point of view the vaccine regulatory agencies are “profoundly corrupt” and “essentially acting outside any judicial restraint.”

“They don’t care about what their standard rules are. They will do whatever they want to do. A lot of it seems to be driven by what [White House Covid adviser] Dr. [Anthony] Fauci’s personal beliefs are.”

Because of emergency legislation that was put in place at the start of the outbreak, Malone said, “I don’t know that they can be held accountable. I think it’s an open-ended question whether the Health and Humans Services of the United States is fully extrajudicial now. Can they be held accountable in the courts, because they’re certainly not accountable to their own policies and procedures.”

Besides having zero public accountability, the agencies are disinterested – or not not capable — of detecting vaccine adverse events. It wasn’t the FDA or the CDC that recognized the risk of myocarditis and pericarditis – potentially lethal heart inflammation conditions – in teens and young adults, Malone said.

Thousands of young people, mostly boys and men, have been diagnosed with the condition that also plagued the smallpox and other vaccines, after Covid vaccination. It was a relatively easy signal to spot in the data since young people are at a minuscule risk of heart conditions, rare incidents are obvious. But it was a small outsider data company, Oracle, that discovered the link, prompting the CDC and other governments including Israel’s, to review their own data. Israel, Iceland, Canada, Norway, Sweden and Denmark have all recognized the increased risk of Moderna’s vaccine for the heart conditions, but Pfizer is linked to thousands of cases being investigated as well.

While Malone says no healthy young male should receive a Covid vaccine, which is far more dangerous than the virus, he’s shocked at the lack of public messaging on the danger. As well, it does not mean the heart condition is not affecting older people, but Malone has lost confidence in the interest of the regulators to recognize the signals.

Another signal that was obvious for months was menstrual irregularities affecting tens of thousands of women, but only beginning to be investigated by oversight agencies now, 10 months into the vaccine rollout.

Malone said he found it especially “shocking” that the FDA never insisted that Pfizer rule out the historical problem associated with spike-based coronavirus vaccines, a phenomenon called vaccine enhanced infection of disease (a subset is called antibody-dependent enhancement). It’s a problem that created a huge fiasco in the Philippines in 2017 when several lawmakers and health officials were indicted for their roles in promoting Sanofi’s Dengvaxia vaccine that led to the deaths of hundreds of vaccinated Philippine children who developed a particularly severe reaction to the Dengue virus when they encountered the real virus after vaccination against it.

“Any vaccinologist knows that this is always a risk when you develop a new vaccine, that you end up with something that makes the disease worse or the infection more efficient,” Malone said. “It has historically been the risk that has bedeviled all prior coronavirus vaccine development and it was specifically identified by the FDA as a risk in their Emergency Use Authorizations letters for these vaccines.”

While the agencies were well aware of the danger, they never insisted on trials being conducted or data proving that the vaccines were free of the potentially devastating risk, “so we don’t know at this point whether or not there is vaccine-enhanced disease going on with these vaccines. There are some signs in the data particularly with delta, that this remains a possibility,” Malone said.

Malone, who has known the White House Covid adviser since 1983, said, “I hope that Dr. Fauci resigns soon.”

“It’s been a source of amazement to me and my colleagues that the rules don’t apply to him, either. Things that we’re strictly forbidden to do, such as breaking the blind in clinical trials, he does routinely, and there’s no consequences,” Malone said, referring to the fact that Pfizer deliberately sabotaged the potential for long-term comparisons in the trials of its vaccine when it unblinded its clinical trials and offered the vaccine to the placebo “control” group as well.

The whole story line that Fauci did not fund gain-of-function research that led to the SARS-Co-V2 outbreak has collapsed, Malone added. “The paper trail is there. Unfortunately, the paper trail is also there for the Defense Threat Reduction Agency, [which Malone worked for] so I find that disillusioning as well.”

Malone said that the abandonment of standard ethics for the vaccines is deeply troubling and “fundamentally wrong” and suggested it was related to the fact that Fauci’s wife, Christine Grady, is chief of the department of bioethics at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) Clinical Center. Under her watch, all basic ethical precepts including full and complete disclosure of risks and willing acceptance of risks without coercion or compulsion – from loss of jobs to governments bribing children with ice cream cones for getting vaccinated – have been violated.

It’s also under Fauci and his prevailing “ethics,” that physicians have been attacked and de-licensed for using Covid treatments from Vitamin C to ivermectin. Malone is the president of the Rome Declaration of Physicians, signed by 10,000 doctors and counting, which calls for doctors to be able to prescribe according to the evidence and their training rather than politics – a concept that should hardly need a declaration.

As a scientists who has been “deeply embedded in the biodefense community” and witnessed a series of war games by health officials and government leaders from multiple countries including the United States and China, to role play scenarios including pandemics, Malone has observed that the government practice runs “almost always end up with authoritarianism … enforcing something on the population that they don’t want to do.”

“I really don’t like going down the conspiracy path,” Malone remarked dryly, but he understands why some wonder, “Is this really about the vaccine or is it about something else?”

Durham’s ‘Clues’: Pentagon contractors, CrowdStrike, Georgia, and the IP addresses

    Outlines of connections emerge.

Paul Sperry had an article at Real Clear Investigations on 7 October in which he reported that John Durham’s investigation of the federal government’s handling of “Russiagate” is focusing on Pentagon contractors. Like the “speaking indictment” of Michael Sussmann, this framing of where Durham’s headed functions to shift perceptions somewhat, shedding new light on old information.

Like so much of the “new light,” the investigative pathways prompted by what has recently come out cause us to look further back and see the fresh likelihood of connections between the familiar events of Spygate/Russiagate and earlier events.

This treatment will not be at all comprehensive. It’s a collection of such potential links, assembled in the last few weeks and presented in complete sentences as a marker, rather than as a finished analysis or theory. Basically, these are research notes. I want to get them out there as a service.

Rather than attempting to weave them as a story, I’m trusting readers to know the basic outline and recognize why dates and events are significant. There has been prior work on all of the points here: nothing is entirely new, as I think dedicated followers of the problem set are aware. Hyperlinks will take you to more extended discussions and analyses.

Additive manufacturing (AM), commonly referred to as three-dimensional printing (3DP) technology, was introduced in 1986 and is defined as a process of adding materials to fabricate objects from a computerized 3D model in a layer-by-layer fashion (C. Feng et al., 2019). AM is also known as rapid prototyping and rapid manufacturing (S. Li, 2016). It has the advantage of constructing volumetric complex models without using molds, dies, fixtures, or cutting tools (Pitayachaval et al., 2018). It also prevents material wastage.

People take to the streets to denounce COVID measures across Europe

    • Excellent example of the truth inversion typical of this point in history. The fact is, people who initially took the shot did so because they were afraid of the disease. That is to say, people were willing to take an injection of an experimental new technology that actually hijacks your own cells to make them produce a pathogenic protein, exactly what a virus does just BTW, out of fear of the disease.

The rest took it to ‘get some of their freedoms back’ such as visit relatives or eat out. So where fear is a factor, its the opposite. People TAKE THE SHOT because they are afraid.

Slovenian leader Janez Jansa has once again courted controversy with a tweet that claims a prominent member of the European Parliament is a “puppet” of billionaire philanthropist George Soros, promoting a conspiracy theory popular with the European far right.

Sophie In ‘t Veld, a Dutch MEP since 2004 and leader of the Democrats 66 political party in Brussels, was pictured alongside 13 others, some of which are no longer MEPs and one of which, Hans van Baalen, died earlier this year.

    ============================
Jansa’s tweet referred to the 13 as “Soros puppets in the EU parlement (sic).”

Soros and his Open Society Foundation have long been a target of the far-right for his philanthropic work and criticism of anti-democratic reforms in countries such as Viktor Orban’s Hungary. Soros, a Jewish Hungarian, is often subject to anti-Semitic slurs and singled out for abuse in Fidesz election material.

Jansa’s Twitter rant comes as In ‘t Veld and a delegation of MEPs visit Slovenia to investigate the rule of law and media freedom, which critics allege have worsened since he was elected in 2020.

Last month, the head of Slovenia’s STA news agency, Bojan Veselinovic, resigned and accused the Jansa government of using public funding to control the news output of the station.

Slovenia currently has the rotating presidency of the Council of the European Union. Jansa has lashed out at the EU Commission for “exceeding its powers” in a crackdown on violations of the rule of law.

Reacting to the news, the European Commission said it did not “comment on comments” but that “social media should be a space for constructive and respectful debates, not for attacks on public and private individuals”.

“Antisemitism has no place in the EU,” a Commission spokesperson said.

Charles Michel, the President of the European Council, also weighed in on the controversy but avoided mentioning Jansa by name.

“Members of the [European Parliament] should be able to do their work free from any form of pressure,” Michel tweeted.

“Mutual respect between EU institutions and within the European Council is the only way forward.”

Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte responded to Jansa on Twitter on Thursday night, calling his comments “tasteless”.

“I condemn it in the strongest possible terms. The government just conveyed this same sentiment to the Slovenian ambassador in The Hague,” Rutte wrote.

Replying two hours later, Jansa said that Rutte should not “waste time with ambassadors and media freedom in Slovenia”, and pointed out that the last European journalist to be killed was Peter de Vries, in the Netherlands, not in Slovenia.

Rutte has become increasingly vocal against member states accused of democratic backsliding. In June, Rutte suggested Hungary leave the European Union after Budapest passed a controversial law banning the depiction of homosexuality and sex reassignment in school material and on TV.

This week, the Dutch parliament adopted a resolution opposing the approval of Poland’s €36-billion recovery plan after the Polish Constitutional Court issued a verdict defying the primacy of EU law. Rutte said he will not oppose the resolution.

    =======================================

Slovenian PM’s ‘Soros puppets’ tweet causes EU-wide political storm

Prime Minister Janez Jansa is facing criticism after tweeting that some MEPs are “Soros puppets”. The MEP’s under attack included Sophie in ‘t Veld, the chair of a fact-finding mission currently examining Slovenia’s compliance with the rule of law and media freedom covenants.

“We urgently call on Jansa to cease the provocations against members of the European Parliament. Attacks on members of this house are also attacks on European citizens,” European Parliament President David Sassoli said on Twitter on Thursday.

“A constructive collaboration with the rotating Council Presidency can only be based on mutual trust and respect,” he said.

The statement came after Jansa tweeted an image with the heading “13 of the 226 known Soros puppets in the EU parliament”, referring to Hungarian billionaire George Soros.

Jansa, who has often accused political opponents of being on Soros’s payroll, has since deleted the tweet.

Twitter sleuths have traced the image he tweeted to a radical hate blog.

Some of the people in the image are no longer MEPs and one, Hans van Baalen, passed away in April.

Some accused Jansa of anti-Semitism, including the Dutch MEP Malik Azmani, who described the image as a “despicable, anti-Semitic trope”. Vice-president of Renew Europe, and German Green MEP Daniel Freund said Jansa “peddles Orban-style anti-Semitic conspiracy theories”.

Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte described it as “tasteless” adding that “the government just conveyed this same sentiment to the Slovenian ambassador in The Hague.”

Liberal EU lawmaker Guy Verhofstadt called on Janša not to spread anti-semitic, anti-democratic, and anti-EU conspiracy theories that are “boosted by people whose strings are pulled by Putin”.

“This has no place in any democracy and certainly not in the EU!” Verhofstadt tweeted.

    Jansa is a ‘coward’

Before his ‘Soros puppets’ tweet, Jansa also attacked the leftist opposition LEVICA party on Twitter, saying its members represent “the political wing of the terrorist antifa”.

Leftist MEP Kostas Arvanitis from GUE-NGL described the attack as “creepy and brazen” and called Jansa cowardly for not answering EU lawmakers’ questions on the rule of law in Slovenia.

Arvanitis said the Slovenian PM cancelled, at the last minute, his participation in a meeting with MEPs from the EU Parliament’s Working Group on Democracy, Rule of Law and Fundamental Rights Monitoring Group (DRFMG).

“It’s a cowardly attack, because in the prospect of being confronted with the questions of the DRFMG in which I participate, regarding the accusations of corruption, interference in the Judiciary and attempts to manipulate the press, the Prime Minister cancelled the scheduled meeting at the last minute,” the MEP said.

He added that in the past, Jansa also avoided joining a similar meeting and instead sent a pre-recorded video.

“The elected by EU citizens representatives do not accept bullying neither via videos nor via Twitter. We would expect the Slovenian PM to have the courage to tell these things in person,” Arvanitis concluded.

    New headaches for EU centre-right

Jansa is a known admirer of Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán, whose Fidesz party left the European People Party’s (EPP) faction last March.

The EPP group was already preparing to vote on Fidesz suspension after years of disagreement on several issues.

Orbán has always created headaches for the EU centre-right family, and critics suggest that Jansa intends to play the EPP’s “black sheep” role.

Last week, the Slovenian PM backed Warsaw in its legal spat with the EU.

A Polish court has challenged the primacy of EU law over national law, and Jansa accused the European Commission of political abuse over the rule of law.

Jansa has also described as “legitimate”, an anti-EU declaration recently signed by far-right parties from 16 EU countries, including Frances’ Rassemblement National, Poland’s PiS, Hungary’s Fidesz, and Italy’s Lega.

In the EPP, many pro-European politicians fear that after the defeat of Germany’s conservatives in the last elections, ultra-conservatives such as Janša will seek to take advantage of the momentum and push the EPP further right

Hundreds of thousands of U.S. troops remain unvaccinated as COVID-19 vaccine mandate deadlines loom, according to data reviewed by The Epoch Times.

A Nov. 2 deadline for active-duty Air Force personnel is the first in a series of dates that various military members are facing to get fully vaccinated against the virus that causes COVID-19.

If they don’t, they’ll face punishment. They could potentially be court-martialed and dishonorably discharged.

A large percentage of most branches have gotten at least one shot of a vaccine. Many troops are poised to be in compliance with orders laying out the mandates. But there’s still a considerable number of service members who remain unvaccinated, including 32 percent of the Army and about one in five overall.

  17. Judge Docks Lt. Col Scheller $5,000 in Pay, Criticizes Government’s Conduct

U.S. Marine Corps Judge Glen Hines has docked Lt. Col. Stuart Scheller $5,000 in pay and ordered a letter of reprimand against the combat veteran for his criticisms about how senior military officials handled the U.S. withdrawal from Afghanistan.

Hines handed down his sentence Oct. 15, concluding the legal matter. The Secretary of the Navy will decide whether Scheller receives an honorable discharge or a general discharge under honorable conditions.

Defense attorney Timothy Parlatore said he thinks the sentence was fair.

“We were happy with the sentence. I think the judge carefully considered all of the facts and circumstances of this case, and the sentence was an appropriate reflection of what Lt. Col. Scheller did,” he said.

Biden to temporarily reinstate ‘remain in Mexico’ policy per judge’s orders
    Chris Pandolfo
    4-5 minutes

A little over four months after President Joe Biden officially ended his predecessor’s “remain in Mexico” policy, his administration is set to put the controversial policy back into effect after a federal judge said Biden’s termination of the program violated the law.

Administration officials told the press Friday that Migrant Protection Protocols — a policy requiring migrant asylum seekers to wait in Mexico for their U.S. court hearings — will be temporarily reinstated in mid-November as the administration prepares another attempt to end the program.

Former Republican President Donald Trump implemented the MPP policy in 2019 as a means of ensuring that migrants who traveled to the southern border claiming to seek asylum did not enter the country illegally and then disappear before their court hearings. An estimated 68,000 migrants were returned to Mexico under Trump’s policy, according to the Department of Homeland Security.

Biden, a Democrat, campaigned against MPP, claiming it was inhumane. Shortly after he took office in January, Biden paused the program as part of a wider effort to reverse many of Trump’s immigration policies.

Authorities detained a 14-year-old boy who reportedly shot a Los Angeles Police officer who was driving to work in the early hours of Thursday morning, officials say.

The victim, a 20-year veteran of the Los Angeles Police Department, specializes in investigating juvenile crimes.
    What are the details?

The unnamed police officer was driving to work at the Newton Community Police Station around 5 a.m. local time when his window exploded and he felt a sharp pain in his head.

In a statement on the incident, LAPD Assistant Chief Robert Marino said, “As [the officer] crossed the intersection, he realizes or hears the glass of his vehicle has shattered. Then he felt a sharp pain in the back of his head.”

America needs a Marine Corps that wins battles instead of building woke safe spaces.

Daniel Greenfield, a Shillman Journalism Fellow at the Freedom Center, is an investigative journalist and writer focusing on the radical Left and Islamic terrorism.

11 Marines came home in boxes after the bombing at Kabul airport carried out by an Islamic terrorist freed from a prison near Bagram Air Base that had been abandoned by Biden. Other Marines were seriously wounded and hospitalized for months after the attack.

All across America there are recruiting billboards for the Marine Corps with the message, “For Marines There Are Only Battles Won”. But in the runup to the disastrous retreat from Afghanistan, the only things the Marine Corps really cared about were wokeness and race.

The 54th anniversary of Che Guevara’s comeuppance.

“Che Guevara’s contribution to the Bay of Pigs victory was crucial,” writes Che hagiographer Jorge Castaneda, also a New York Times contributor, visiting Professor at Columbia, Princeton, Harvard, and NYU, and former Mexican Foreign Minister. “Che’s military leadership was permeated by an indomitable will that permitted extraordinary feats.”

Well, “extraordinary” is certainly one way of putting it. I refer to Che Guevara’s being wounded during that tragic battle. The wound, you see, came from a bullet that entered Che’s face just under his chin and exited under his ear doing only slight cosmetic damage to that forthcomingly famous Hollywood and Madison Avenue visage. Alas, the bullet was fired by Che himself from his own pistol!

But don’t bother looking for this extraordinary and sure-fire “human-interest” snippet in his Benicio Del Toro–acted and -produced, and Steven Soderbergh-directed, Hollywood hagiography titled Guerrilla! — compared to which Audie Murphy in To Hell and Back comes across as a bumbling ninny.

Fascinatingly — though his U.S-based propagandists carefully avoid or underplay this “extraordinary” military exploit — Cuba’s own Communist party rag is perfectly up front about it.

China Orders Bat Cave Off Limits to Investigators

(ConservativeInsider.org) – Since the coronavirus first began its spread around the globe, scientists, lawmakers, and everyday citizens have been wondering just where this confusing and sometimes deadly virus came from. After a lackluster World Health Organization (WHO) investigation in January and February 2021 that revealed little, the WHO hoped to gain access to areas near Wuhan, China, where some believe the virus could have originated. However, China has other plans.

When COVID-19 first emerged in Wuhan, scientists looked to both the Wuhan Institute of Virology (WIV) and the nearby animal farms and bat caves for answers surrounding the virus’ origin. However, when the WHO asked China to let a team of investigators trace the wildlife trade at wet markets in the area, the nation denied the request.

ORANGE, Calif. – Former President Bill Clinton remained in a California hospital early Friday after being admitted earlier in the week for a non-COVID-19-related infection.

“On Tuesday evening, President Clinton was admitted to UCI Medical Center to receive treatment for a non-Covid-related infection,” Clinton’s spokesman, Angel Urena, said in a statement on Thursday evening. “He is on the mend, in good spirits, and is incredibly thankful to the doctors, nurses, and staff providing him with excellent care.”

University of California Irvine Medical Center in Orange, California, confirmed that Clinton was being treated there, Reuters reported.

The hospital is located about 45 miles from downtown Los Angeles.

The former president, 75, was in Southern California to attend private events related to the Clinton Foundation, the Los Angeles Times reported. He was admitted to the hospital after feeling fatigued following a gathering with some friends in Orange County, the report said.

  25. It Appears That an American Airlines Uprising Against the Vaccine Mandate is Now Beginning
    4-5 minutes

Human Events senior editor Jack Posobiec had noted the unusual American Airlines activity earlier on Wednesday.

The unusual surge in American Airlines flight cancellations and delays comes less than one week after an organized protest at the company’s headquarters in Fort Worth, Texas on Thursday.

“Hundreds of AA workers and allies protested outside the company’s Fort Worth, Texas headquarters on Thursday,” Newsweek reported. “The protesters told The Dallas Morning News that they are skeptical of the vaccines’ effectiveness and their unreported side effects.”

According to the online publication Paddle Your Own Kanoo, “the protestors were a mix of employees from across the airline including pilots, gate agents and ramp workers. Some wore their uniforms, while their numbers were swelled by friends and family who supported their right to reject the vaccine.”

The Chicago police union has made it clear that they will not report on their COVID-19 vaccine status or force officials to comply with the rules and get vaccinated in light of Lightfoot’s city mandate. Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot has called on city officials to submit their vaccination status or be placed on unpaid leave.

Chicago Fraternal Order of Police President John Catanzara even pointed out ahead of Lightfoot’s vaccine deadline that the city of Chicago could have a police force at 50% or less for this weekend coming up.

“That is not because of the FOP. That is 100 percent because of the mayor’s unwillingness to budge from her hard line. Whatever happens because of that manpower issue, that falls at the mayor’s doorstep,” Catanzara said ahead of the vaccine deadline.
