Reader’s Links for July 15, 2021

Each day at just after midnight Eastern, a post like this one is created for contributors and readers of this site to upload news links and video links on the issues that concern this site. Most notably, Islam and its effects on Classical Civilization, and various forms of leftism from Soviet era communism, to postmodernism and all the flavours of galloping statism and totalitarianism such as Nazism and Fascism which are increasingly snuffing out the classical liberalism which created our near, miraculous civilization the West has been building since the time of Socrates.

This document was written around the time this site was created, for those who wish to understand what this site is about. And while our understanding of the world and events has grown since then, the basic ideas remain sound and true to the purpose.

So please post all links, thoughts and ideas that you feel will benefit the readers of this site to the comments under this post each day. And thank you all for your contributions.

This is the new Samizdat. We must use it while we can.

    • Klaus Schwab cites Climate Change and Pandemics as the basis to argue our world must change forever – – it needs a Great Reset.

The World Economic Forum signed a Strategic Partnership Framework to accelerate implementation of Agenda 2030 for Sustainable Development.

Peers can be convinced they are at risk, and will only be safe if everyone’s behaviour conforms to certain standards.

Social conditioning takes time – – push lockdowns, now state we need to continue until 2022. The New Normal will be pandemics and climate change.

Technology future – sheep want to be kept safe from germs and will better harmonize humanity with nature. Read Agenda 2030.

Today they implement covert replacement for the rule of law.
      Tomorrow replace democracy.

Listen to all the World leaders, “The Great Reset”, “Build Back Better”, “New Normal”, listen to what the madmen are promoting. Fight back, once they totally take away your freedom, your life will not be worth living.

  2. *Heart problems in children with rare inflammatory syndrome linked to COVID-19 resolve within four months, study finds*

Researchers looked at 45 youngsters diagnosed with multisystem inflammatory syndrome in children (MIS-C), a condition in which different body parts become inflamed.

The majority had some level of cardiac dysfunction that included severe problems including a worsened ability of the heart to pump properly and leaky heart valves.

However, within four months, all pediatric patients saw their cardiac issues resolves and biomarkers fall to normal levels.

The team, from Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons and NewYork-Presbyterian, says the findings suggest that moat children recover from the illness without suffering long-term heart damage.

‘We’ve learned that COVID causes a spectrum of illness in children. Some are asymptomatic or mildly symptomatic and a small number of kids who develop MIS-C become critically ill, requiring admission to the ICU,’ said first author Dr Kanwal Farooqi, an assistant professor of pediatrics at Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons.

‘It is a relief that this study shows that most of the severe heart and immunologic manifestations we saw in kids with MIS-C resolved rapidly.’

MIS-C was originally thought to be linked with Kawasaki disease, a condition that causes inflammation in the walls of the blood vessels and affects mostly children under five years old.

    M. Having already seen the movie(5.5/10) I could see that it was already tainted by the woke ideals of Hollywood. It was far too limited WRT violence and IMO too kind to the villains and the “happy” ending cf. the original palled. In it, Stallone’s opinion of Willis showed hints of why he said it.
When a government deliberately fails to protect its citizens and even encourages criminals, vigilantism is necessary. However the actions of vigilantes show the government up for what they are “deceiving lying criminals” and they cannot allow this, So they are already prepared to stamp extremely heavily on any such actions( the purchase by Obama of > 1 billion mankiller bullets) and the firearm ban is a long established part of this. It is obvious now that almost all, if not all, western governments do NOT see protection of their non elite citizens as their duty and responsibility any more: they are driving dissenters deliberately into such acts as they wish to provoke a civil war so that they can clean them all up in one go. If the system is so rigged that it does not allow Trumps any more, we are in deep doggy doo.

Death Wish – on the off chance you don’t already know – tells the tale of a civilized, affluent liberal who, after his home is invaded by thugs who kill his wife and severely wound his daughter, becomes a vigilante, taking to the city at night (New York in the original, Chicago in the remake) and gunning down bad guys. In the original, Kersey’s killing spree is depicted in such a way as to make audiences cheer. I remember being surprised, three years ago, when I first heard about the remake: in these politically correct times, how could you redo Death Wish without totally defanging it? Who in Hollywood today would even green-light such a thing? Watching the reboot, I kept expecting it to pull punches. But it didn’t. When it was over, my first thought was: I’ll bet this got terrible reviews – and very positive audience reaction. I was right.

To be sure, a couple of the reviewers who joined the AV Club’s A.A. Dowd in deriding “the movie’s fucked-up politics” – which, in Dowd’s view, amounted to the obviously primitive belief “that more guns, not less, will make us all safe” – were honest enough to acknowledge at least some of its merits: Dowd, for example, conceded that “[b]y most metrics, this Death Wish is a better movie than the first one. The acting is stronger, and it’s much more confidently, dynamically directed.” In the Guardian, an otherwise hostile Amy Nicholson admitted that “in my screening, Death Wish got plenty of applause.”

I’m not surprised. This remake might not be the most extreme case of a relatively recent movie loved by audiences and loathed by critics, but it’s pretty damn close – close enough to provide a textbook example of the gulf between the way ordinary Americans (i.e., the deplorables) think and the way the official guardians of our culture (i.e., the people who call us deplorables) think. Almost consistently, the reviewers of Death Wish mock the idea that there’s really a major urban crime problem (or suggest that actually paying attention to that problem is somehow offensive); they mock the idea that owning a gun is anything other than barbaric; they’re offended that hard-working, law-abiding suburbanites think they have a right to feel safe in their homes; they’re offended at anything that so much as hints at the fact that most murders in a city like Chicago are black-on-black, and gang-related; and they’re offended by men who think that part of their role, as men, is to protect “their” women.

In the Death Wish remake, the grieving Kersey visits the office of the cop (Dean Norris) who’s investigating his wife’s murder. On the wall he sees a multitude of index cards, each indicating a different murder that’s currently on the cop’s plate. The cop assures him that most of those cases are gang killings – “trash killing trash” – and that the murder of Kersey’s wife is, for him, a special case, in a separate category from the others. Several of the reviewers of Death Wish were outraged by this line. Of course they were: these are the kind of people who can spend a year weeping crocodile tears over the death of George Floyd but who don’t give a moment’s thought to the countless decent citizens whose lives have been damaged or destroyed by Floyd and creeps of his ilk.

In fact they’re even worse than this: they seem to be repelled by the very spectacle of people mourning loved ones who’ve been mowed down by monsters. You get the impression that, in their view, those survivors – if only they were more evolved! – would recognize the perpetrators as the real victims, and themselves and their beloved dead as the truly guilty parties. Needless to say, these reviewers’ views on crime and punishment, law and order, violence and vigilantism – and, for that matter, on any moral question whatsoever – are utterly worthless, informed almost entirely by vile ideologies picked up in classrooms (and reinforced daily by establishment-media groupthink) and bearing virtually no trace of wisdom born of lived experience. Hence their opinions on films, such as Death Wish, that address such themes – whether in a way that’s serious, sensational, or somewhere in between – are utterly worthless, too.

But I guess those of us with any sense knew that already.

  11. Some ex-Colombian soldiers detained in Haiti had U.S. military training: Pentagon

WASHINGTON (Reuters) – A small number of the former Colombian soldiers accused of involvement in the assassination of Haiti’s President Jovenel Moise this month had received U.S. military training in the past, the Pentagon said on Thursday.

Haitian authorities have said Moise was shot dead at his home on July 7 by a unit of assassins including 26 Colombians and two Haitian Americans.

Eighteen Colombians have been detained and three others were killed by police. Families and colleagues back in Colombia have told reporters the men were hired to act as bodyguards.

“A review of our training databases indicates that a small number of the Colombian individuals detained as part of this investigation had participated in past U.S. military training and education programs, while serving as active members of the Colombian Military Forces,” Lieutenant Colonel Ken Hoffman told Reuters.

Hoffman did not say how many of the detained Colombians had received training.

The U.S. military routinely trains service members from the region, he said, adding that the training “emphasizes and promotes respect for human rights, compliance with the rule of law, and militaries subordinate to democratically elected civilian leadership.”

    • reuters – Duque says some Colombian suspects had ‘detailed knowledge’ of Haiti plot

PORT-AU-PRINCE, July 15 (Reuters) – Many of the Colombian ex-soldiers accused of involvement in the assassination of President Jovenel Moise went to Haiti to work as bodyguards, but others knew a crime was being planned, Colombia’s president said on Thursday.

Haitian authorities have said Moise was shot dead at his home on July 7 by a group of assassins including 26 Colombians and two Haitian Americans. Eighteen Colombians have been detained and three others were killed by police.

“There was a big group that were taken on a supposed protection mission, but within that group, there’s a smaller group, which were those who apparently had detailed knowledge of what was to be a criminal operation,” Colombian President Ivan Duque told La FM radio.

“Does that excuse the rest of the group? Unfortunately no, because they are also participating in the situation.”

Colombian news magazine Semana reported on Wednesday that one of the detained Colombians had confessed to Haitian authorities that seven of his compatriots took part in Moise’s killing. Reuters could not independently verify the report.

Families and colleagues of some of the detainees have told journalists in Colombia that the suspects were hired to work as bodyguards and are innocent.

The head of Colombia’s national police stressed on Thursday that Haitian authorities are leading the investigation.

A “small number” of the detainees had received U.S. military training in the past while serving as active members of the Colombian military, Pentagon spokesperson Lieutenant Colonel Ken Hoffman said on Thursday. He did not give further details.

Colombia is one of the strongest U.S. military partners in Latin America, receiving billions of dollars in security aid and training focused on countering Marxist guerrilla groups that are funded by drug trafficking, extortion and kidnapping.

A U.S. government source said a Senate committee is looking into training by the U.S. military of some of the Colombians detained on suspicion of Moise’s killing.

The assassination has pitched the already-troubled Caribbean nation into chaos, coming amid a surge in gang violence in recent months that has displaced thousands and hampered economic activity in the poorest country in the Americas.

The New York Times reported on Thursday that the head of security for the presidential palace, Dimitri Herard, was detained and is being questioned about why the attackers did not meet more resistance at the president’s home.

  12. Talk about lousy luck. Driving to the nearby government office to take care of official business I got a flat tire. Then my jack broke while I was trying to fix it. With a friend’s help I was back on the road, but some days are like that. Some days you wonder what you did to deserve it. My hands were dirt black from handling tires. I may not be the little old lady from Pasadena, but a flat and a bum jack was a double wack I didn’t need.

There were maybe a dozen people in line when I got there, no more. Even though we stood outside in the blazing summer sun everyone was wearing a mask. How easily trained the human animal is. I thought about leaving it all for another day, but I was here now so may as well stick around. Besides, it wasn’t as if the line-up was around the block. It wasn’t like I was going to a Joe Biden book signing, so I would hang in there. Besides, I really needed my driver’s license and health card renewed.

There were many informative signs posted on the windows and doors of the building. One said, “We’re all in this together.” Now I felt better. Another instructed how to self screen for Covid-19 before entering the premises. This was mandatory, it said, so I did it on my phone answering the usual questions. I got a big green PDF check mark at the end to approve my entry. Later I would show this to the teller to save time. Maybe my luck was turning.

Sometimes the unwanted thought is the most involuntary. At times like this–waiting in line–I narrate more. Narrating inside of a hyper-narrated world–now there’s a little boat we’re truly all in together. Intruding voices make their unsolicited comments without knocking then leave without closing the door or saying goodbye. I’m not talking in a bi-polar one or two way–I’ve seen that ugliness first hand and there ain’t no sunshine till she’s gone. No. Just in the normal, playful way in the privacy of one’s own coconut, which is a privacy that is fleeting, so is one to cherish more.

A loudspeaker on the wall outside the building told us what to do. We were supposed to have our forms filled out already. We could make an appointment on-line to save time. We were to stand on our dots and follow the lines inside. My biggest fear is in waiting forever then being told I’m missing a piece of information. This would happen today, but the lady teller would decide to find a way around it and give me a break. Must be my good looks and honey charm. The bureaucracy can make your life hell if it decides to.

Dots. There should be another Romeo and Julliet update for our dotted times. Two love-struck mixed-up kids standing on their dots six feet apart. Just far enough that they can’t hold hands. A play played in a single tragic scene. Let the Montagues be our masters and the Capulets be we the sheeple. Let her dot be the balcony and his the ground. The audience goes wild at the end. Bravo! The play may be the thing, but only if it’s fiction and not as tragic as our date with world collectivist tyranny.

It took two hours for the line to advance enough for me to enter the building. Finally, I thought, here we go. But alas, my fleeting optimism was squashed like midsummer’s night bug. Where art thou, dearest teller? Over yonder you wait in wait of my dear presence, there, than that I thus feel, lacking in your make, dear kindness for pure lovingkindess’ sake. “Aw, shut-up,” blurted the voice darting by.

Now I was only as far as between the two front doors. More signs. “One person only permitted in this space,” said one. “Wear a mask if you cannot physically distance at least six feet,” said another. Interesting, I thought. I have options. If I can distance then I don’t need the mask. However if I don’t wear the mask there will be a scene that may risk my current time investment of two hours. Maybe they will cast me out, the diseased ghoul that I could be, exhaling asymptomatic pathogens. After a while a women entered this small space from outside to stand behind me. She didn’t seem to care about the one-person-in-this-space sign. I wasn’t about to point it out to her, either. That would make me a Karen. No. Let’s stick it to The Man, I thought. Like flicking lint at an elephant.

Now fully inside the main room the older woman in front of me had a hard time keeping still. She rocked slightly from side to side. She was tired of standing, as was I. My back was getting sore. Maybe I had strained it changing that damned tire. “Your back may hurt, but it’s your front that’s killing me,” squirreled my daughter’s voice.

At two and a half hours the old man in front of the lady in front of me was called to one of the three tellers. As we advanced dots the lady half turned to me and said, “we’re almost there.”

“Yeah. Just another three hours and we’ll be done,” I replied.

“I just hope I have everything they want,” she said.

    “Yes, that’s my worry, too.”

“I don’t agree with the vaccines,” she said. Suddenly she had changed the subject, and I still don’t know why she did this. Was there a sign on my forehead advertising that I was a safe receiver of her sentiment? We were whispering like the walls had ears.

    “I don’t either,” I said.

    “It’s all about control.”

    “Yes.”

“It’s about world communism and control,” she said. This bona fide little old lady from Pasadena sure had a heavy foot.

It was remarkable, I thought. She didn’t even have a central or east European accent.

“I live in a building full of senior citizens. They’ve all been vaccinated and they’re all going down slowly. I think within two years they’ll all be gone.”

Two ships passing, were we, and I remain amazed not so much by this woman’s outlook, or opinions, but just by the bracing payoff from a random encounter. The unexpectedness of it seems to somehow represent an insight into a larger body–many, many more muted voices than one thinks is possible while one is spending so much time lost in one’s own coconut.

After this three hour and fifteen minute process I would stop by a friend’s nearby garage to get my flat fixed. Rick was there, and his brother, Gerry, had just driven all the way from Edmonton. Gerry was putting together an engine head on the bench. “We can go west from here but not east, really,” I said. “The Atlantic provinces are in their own bubble. They don’t let you in without some variation of shots or permission or quarantine.”

“Yup, they’re smart,” replied Gerry. “They don’t have fuck-all Covid.”

“Sure. It’s summer time. There’s not much flu in summer. But what about all the businesses that rely on tourism.”

“Better safe than dead,” replied Gerry.

What a bi-polar planet of opinions we have, I thought.

The Social Security cost-of-living adjustment for 2022 could be 6.1% due to inflation, according to a new estimate.

That would be the biggest increase since 1983, according to non-partisan advocacy group The Senior Citizens League, which calculated the figure. It’s also a bump up from last month’s estimate, when the increase for next year was expected to be 5.3%.

The new estimate comes as the Consumer Price Index in June increased 5.4% from a year earlier, the largest gain since August 2008. Higher food and energy prices were among the culprits that helped push the inflation m

  20. Top U.S. General Said Trump Preached ‘Gospel of the Führer’

General Mark Milley, the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, likened Donald Trump’s effort to hold on to power after the 2020 election to Adolf Hitler, saying the president was preaching “the gospel of the Führer” with his lies about the election being stolen, according to a new book by two Washington Post reporters.

As chronicled in I Alone Can Fix It, by Carol Leonnig and Philip Rucker, the Pentagon’s top general said shortly before the January 6 insurrection at the Capitol that Trump had led the country to the brink of its own “Reichstag moment,” viewing him as a potential threat to American democracy.

Trump had appointed Milley to be chairman of the Joint Chiefs in 2018, over the objections of Defense Secretary James Mattis. The Army general’s tenure at the top of the Pentagon had been relatively quiet, until last summer, when he appeared in uniform during an infamous photo opportunity for Trump in Lafayette Square that followed the clearing of protesters in front of the White House. Milley later apologized for creating a “perception of the military involved in domestic politics.”

Although the book chronicles Milley’s concern with Trump dating back to that moment, the general’s worries grew rapidly as the president plunged the nation into chaos following Election Day. Seven days later, Milley got a call from “an old friend” with an explicit warning that Trump and his allies were trying to “overturn the government.” Milley was confident that any attempts by Trump to hold on to power would be thwarted, because the military wouldn’t go along. “They may try, but they’re not going to fucking succeed,” he told aides. “You can’t do this without the military. You can’t do this without the CIA and the FBI. We’re the guys with guns.”

Still, Milley was disturbed by the sight of Trump supporters rallying to his cause in November, calling them “Brownshirts in the streets.” Leonnig and Rucker wrote that Milley “believed Trump was stoking unrest, possibly in hopes of an excuse to invoke the Insurrection Act and call out the military.” The general likened the U.S. to Germany’s fragile Weimar Republic in the early 1930s. “This is a Reichstag moment,” he said, referring to the arson attack on Germany’s Parliament that Hitler used as a pretext to assume absolute power and destroy democracy.

On January 6, Milley watched with disgust as Trump addressed his supporters. Soon after Trump finished speaking, a violent mob of his supporters stormed the Capitol in an attempt to disrupt the certification of the presidential election by a joint session of Congress — and many promised to return for Biden’s inauguration. “These guys are Nazis, they’re boogaloo boys, they’re Proud Boys. These are the same people we fought in World War II,” Milley said a week after the attack on the Capitol.

After Biden took the oath of office on January 20, and Trump was finally an ex-president, former First Lady Michelle Obama encountered Milley at the Capitol and asked how he was feeling. “No one has a bigger smile today than I do,” he said. “You can’t see it under my mask but I do.”

the guardian – Top US general warned of ‘Reichstag moment’ in Trump’s turbulent last days

Gen Mark Milley drew comparison to Nazi Germany as Trump tried to overturn election defeat, new book I Alone Can Fix This says

Shortly before the deadly attack on the US Capitol on 6 January, the chairman of the joint chiefs of staff, Gen Mark Milley, told aides the US was facing a “Reichstag moment” because Donald Trump was preaching “the gospel of the Führer”, according to an eagerly awaited book about Trump’s last year in office.

The excerpts from I Alone Can Fix This, by Carol Leonnig and Philip Rucker, were reported by New York magazine on Wednesday. The authors’ employer, the Washington Post, published the first extract from the book a day earlier. It will be published next week.

Milley’s invocation of Germany under the Third Reich follows a report in another book, Frankly, We Did Win This Election, by Michael C Bender, that Trump told his chief of staff, John Kelly, “Hitler did a lot of good things”.

Trump denies having made the remark.

Leonnig and Rucker report that Milley spoke to an “old friend”, who warned the general that Trump and his allies were trying to “overturn the government” in response to Joe Biden’s election victory, which Trump falsely maintains was the result of electoral fraud.

Milley is reported to have said: “They may try, but they’re not going to fucking succeed. You can’t do this without the military. You can’t do this without the CIA and the FBI. We’re the guys with guns.”

Reportedly calling Trump supporters “Brownshirts”, a reference to paramilitaries who served Hitler in Germany in the 1930s, Milley is reported to have believed long before the Capitol attack that “Trump was stoking unrest, possibly in hopes of an excuse to invoke the Insurrection Act and call out the military”.

Milley notoriously appeared with Trump in Lafayette Square in Washington in June 2020, after anti-racism protesters had been aggressively cleared and as Trump walked to a church to stage a photo op with a Bible.

The general apologised for that incident. It has been widely reported that he resisted Trump’s efforts then to invoke the Insurrection Act and crack down on the protests.

Milley’s “Reichstag moment” remark refers to a fire at the German parliament which the Nazis used to consolidate their authoritarian rule in 1933.

Trump’s supporters attacked Congress on 6 January, the day the electoral college results were certified . Five people died.

Leonnig and Rucker report that Milley called the attackers “Nazis” and, in reference to two far-right groups, said “they’re boogaloo boys, they’re Proud Boys”.

“These are the same people we fought in [the second world war],” he reportedly said.

According to New York magazine, the authors also report that Milley, who made headlines and stoked rightwing ire last month by defending teaching about historic racism in army educational establishments, met former first lady Michelle Obama at the Capitol on 20 January, the day Biden was inaugurated.

“No one has a bigger smile today than I do,” Milley reportedly said. “You can’t see it under my mask but I do.”

BREAKING: Black Lives Matter Releases New Statement On Cuba And It’s Even Crazier Than You’d Expect
Published 2 hours ago on July 15, 2021 By Corinne Clark
    3 minutes

With all the unrest in Cuba, Black Lives Matter felt obligated to weigh in.

But as a pro-Marxist organization, condemning communism was obviously out of the question.

So they blamed the United States for the whole thing.

    No, really.

In a statement released on social media, the group wrote: “Black Lives Matter condemns the U.S. federal government’s inhumane treatment of Cubans, and urges it to immediately lift the economic embargo,” the group claimed. “This cruel and inhumane policy, instituted with the explicit intention of destabilizing the country and undermining Cubans’ right to choose their own government, is at the heart of Cuba’s current crisis. Since 1962, the United States has forced pain and suffering on the people of Cuba by cutting off food, medicine and supplies, costing the tiny island nation an estimated $130 billion.”

“Without that money, it is harder for Cuba to acquire medical equipment needed to develop its own COVID-19 vaccines and equipment for food production. This comes in spite of the country’s strong medical care and history of lending doctors and nurses to disasters around the world,“ apparently acknowledging that Cuba’s “WORLD CLASS” socialist healthcare fails without American intervention.

“The people of Cuba are being punished by the U.S. government because the country has maintained its commitment to sovereignty and self-determination,” they continued. “United States leaders have tried to crush this Revolution for decades. Instead of international amity, respect, and goodwill, the U.S. government has only instigated suffering for the country’s 11 million people – of which 4 million are black and brown.”

“Cuba has historically demonstrated solidarity with oppressed peoples of African descent, from protecting black revolutionaries like Assata Shakur,” the group said of one of the FBI’s most wanted terrorists, “through granting her asylum, to supporting black liberation struggles in Angola, Mozambique, Guinea Bissau and South Africa. Now, we look to President Biden to end the embargo, something Barack Obama called for in 2016. This embargo is a blatant human rights violation and it must come to an end.”

Have you ever seen something so out of touch?

    Wow.

    JUST IN –

Germany’s Interior Minister says it crucial that – unlike in the U.S. – the voting process for the upcoming federal election takes place without voting machines.

This “old school” approach is “half the life insurance” for an election without manipulations, he added.

  24. Ron DeSantis Wants Florida To Provide Internet To Cuba Following Government Shutdown

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis told members of the Cuban exile community in Miami on Tuesday that he would like Florida companies to help Cuban dissidents by beaming in internet services to groups coordinating protests on the ground in Havana.

Cuba’s government blocked social media sites late Sunday in an effort to prevent demonstrators from coordinating with each other, but also to create a media blackout, forcing news organizations covering the pro-democracy protests — the largest in decades — to rely on the official Cuban government transmissions on the subject, rather than on-the-ground reports.

“On Monday, Cuban authorities were blocking Facebook, WhatsApp, Instagram, and Telegram said Alp Toker, director of Netblocks, a London-based internet monitoring firm,” ABC News reported. Twitter does “not appear to be blocked,” though it does appear that Cuba’s government has the power to restrict access.

  25. PA County Will Refuse to Submit Voting Machines for Audit After Threat from Dem Official

    News

With threats from a top official in Pennsylvania’s Democratic-dominated administration ringing in their ears, officials from one Pennsylvania county have refused to participate in an audit of the state’s 2020 election results.

Although Tioga County is led by Republicans, county solicitor Christopher Gabriel said cooperating with the audit proposed by state Sen. Doug Mastriano would in effect be operating with a sword over the heads of county officials, according to KDKA-TV.

Last week, Acting Secretary of State Veronica Degraffenreid, an appointee of Democratic Pennsylvania Gov. Tom Wolf, issued an order ensuring counties could not cooperate with an election audit even if they wanted to.

  26. AZ Senate President: Audit Has Uncovered a Different Vote Tally Than Maricopa County’s Official Numbers
    Jack Davis
    July 14, 2021 at 10:50am

Arizona state Senate President Karen Fann said Tuesday that the audit of Maricopa County’s general election ballots has already found a discrepancy.

In an interview on KTAR-FM, Fann said the overall number of ballots counted during the audit, which began in April, does not match the number recorded by Maricopa County.

“They haven’t released a number yet, if you will. However, we do know that those numbers do not match with Maricopa County at this point,” Fann said.

Fann said she does not know how far off the totals are.

“I do not know. They have not told me the number,” she said.
