Reader’s Links for June 19, 2021

Each day at just after midnight Eastern, a post like this one is created for contributors and readers of this site to upload news links and video links on the issues that concern this site. Most notably, Islam and its effects on Classical Civilization, and various forms of leftism from Soviet era communism, to postmodernism and all the flavours of galloping statism and totalitarianism such as Nazism and Fascism which are increasingly snuffing out the classical liberalism which created our near, miraculous civilization the West has been building since the time of Socrates.

This document was written around the time this site was created, for those who wish to understand what this site is about. And while our understanding of the world and events has grown since then, the basic ideas remain sound and true to the purpose.

So please post all links, thoughts and ideas that you feel will benefit the readers of this site to the comments under this post each day. And thank you all for your contributions.

This is the new Samizdat. We must use it while we can.

M this is long and I will not apologize for it as despite being Australian it extrapolates to every western country. The MSM cannot be trusted and that funded by taxpayers should be closed down.

Stories of corruption in high places have always been a good drawcard for readers of the news media and it is no surprise that many journalists have a strong appetite for such fare. And because such corruption is usually well covered up, a form of journalistic investigation has emerged to expose it, in which reporters adopt the same kind of forensic techniques as police detectives. Journalists who do this also persuade their employers to give them far more time to pursue their research than is usual in the daily news cycle.

The great American tradition of investigative journalism goes back to the early twentieth century when the radical ‘muckrakers’ Lincoln Steffens and Upton Sinclair exposed corrupt practices by corporations, government and political parties. In the 1970s, the investigations of Bob Woodward and Carl Bernstein of the Washington Post forced the resignation of President Richard Nixon and, in the process, turned them into celebrities and authors of best-selling books. Many Australian journalists, too, have seen this approach to the job as their path to glory.

However, at the ABC today, these ideas and practices are now largely out of control. Editorial oversight of the stories investigative journalists pursue and the quality of the evidence they gather is conspicuous by its absence. As readers of All the President’s Men well know, the investigations by Woodward and Bernstein were closely monitored at every stage of their research and writing by the Post’s executive editor Ben Bradlee. At the ABC, there is no one with that degree of authority or expertise to control what journalists do.

The proof of this is the recent career of Louise Milligan, who calls herself an investigate journalist and who has made it her ambition to destroy the reputations and careers of no less than three prominent Australian men: the leading figure of the Catholic Church, Cardinal George Pell, the Attorney-General in the Morrison government, Christian Porter, and most recently, Prime Minister Scott Morrison himself.

However, as I show in detail at several stages of my book The Persecution of George Pell, Milligan’s own practice of journalism leaves a lot to be desired. In her pursuit of Cardinal Pell, she was clearly out of her depth in her attempt to apply investigative journalism techniques to accusations of child sexual abuse. Her work was riddled with errors, she invented some facts, and she covered up others that told against her version of events.

One example: Several of the characters she quoted making claims of child sexual abuse against Pell had criminal backgrounds and were clearly unreliable witnesses. However, to shore up the case in her book Cardinal, Milligan portrayed Pell’s principal accuser, Witness J, the choirboy who claims Pell sexually assaulted him in St Patrick’s Cathedral, as a cleanskin: “he hasn’t had trouble with the law … he is a pillar of his community”, she wrote. Yet at the committal hearings in the Melbourne Magistrate’s Court in March 2018, Pell’s lawyer Robert Richter made Witness J admit he had warrants outstanding from the Victorian Sheriff’s Office of no less than $10,000, which he was paying off at the time. Now, you don’t accumulate debts like this from unpaid parking fines or speeding tickets. You need more than misdemeanors to rack up a tally this big. A real investigative journalist would have found out what offences Pell’s accuser had committed and not deceived her readers about the real trouble he had with the law.

One more example: One of Milligan’s principal sources, who claimed Pell’s alleged abuse of Witness J’s choirboy friend turned the latter into a heroin addict, was the father of that friend. Assuring readers the father was a reliable informant, Milligan described him as “an honorary probation officer”. However, this father was well-known in certain circles in Melbourne for other skills. In the 1990s, while the son was attending the posh St Kevin’s College in Toorak and singing in St Patrick’s Cathedral choir, the father, under the pseudonym of “Master Joe”, was a performer in the city at bondage and discipline sex clubs. He was also registered as proprietor of a sex toy shop in Pascoe Vale, and later had a business in regional Victoria with a woman providing bondage and sadomasochistic services. Rather than sex in the priests’ sacristy being the cause of the boy’s descent into heroin addiction, the most obvious candidate for his desire to blot out his world was his discovery of his father’s sordid occupation. Milligan mentions none of this in her book or her broadcasts. This omission is telling about both her skills and the quality of her journalism. If she did not know about Master Joe, her investigative skills are virtually non-existent since several other journalists in Melbourne at the time of Pell’s trial knew and could have told her. Or if she did find out about Master Joe but deliberately omitted him from her story, she is guilty of airbrushing the truth to avoid spoiling her case against Pell.

There are plenty of other similar examples detailed in my book.

One of Milligan’s most distasteful characteristics, which the ABC makes little attempt to control, is her obsession with publicly defending herself on Twitter. She makes many statements on the social media platform about her ABC reports without running them by any editor, or getting them legalled. She is free to say what she likes about her work for the corporation. This was on display in May when Christian Porter reached an agreement with the ABC’s legal advisers following his defamation suit against Milligan and the corporation for identifying him as the rapist of a schoolgirl when he was seventeen. There had been no credible evidence produced against Porter in this case. All that existed were written notes by a deceased woman who suffered bipolar disorder and consequent false memories, who provided no corroboration for her claims, and who, before she committed suicide, told police she wanted to withdraw the rape accusation. Under the agreement that emerged from the defamation case, the ABC paid Porter’s legal counsel $100,000 in costs and said:

On 26 February 2021, the ABC published an article by Louise Milligan. That article was about a letter to the Prime Minister containing allegations against a senior cabinet minister. Although he was not named, the article was about the Attorney-General Christian Porter. The ABC did not intend to suggest that Mr Porter had committed the criminal offences alleged … However, both parties accept that some readers misinterpreted the article as an accusation of guilt against Mr Porter. That reading, which was not intended by the ABC, is regretted.

However, as soon as this agreement was signed, Milligan tweeted that her story had been right all along:

“Christian Porter has discontinued his case. The ABC will pay him no damages. I stand by my journalism.”

Moreover, one of the conditions of their agreement was that parts of the ABC’s legal defence, which its legal advisers conceded contained “scandalous material”, were not to be publicised and were to be removed from the court files. Nonetheless, Milligan stated on Twitter that she still hoped these parts of the corporation’s document would be made public. Porter’s lawyer, Rebekah Giles, responded, saying the ABC had agreed to never release the information contained in the legal defence. Giles said:

It is astonishing that Ms Milligan and other employees of the ABC have now seen fit to publish statements inconsistent with the settlement that they themselves personally agreed to. Further, the suggestion by Ms Milligan that she wants the defence to be released when she has (apparently in good faith) agreed to it being removed from the court file.

The attempt by Four Corners and Milligan to undermine the reputation of Scott Morrison has even less connection with reality than the accusations against Porter. There was nothing new about the story Milligan chose to do this: no discovery by her of previously unknown documents or witnesses, no good or timely reason to revive it. The story has been floating around online newssheets, social media and anonymous internet commentary for more than eighteen months. It first appeared in the Guardian Australia in October 2019. The online site wrote that the PM’s wife Jenny had once employed a friend of hers at Kirribilli House to look after her children. At that time, the friend’s husband had been posting a series of Tweets supporting the mad conspiracy theories of the right-wing American QAnon movement. These theories claimed that Donald Trump’s presidency was under attack from a powerful “deep state” movement, which protected various satanic paedophile rings whose ultimate aim was to take over the world. In 2019, the FBI identified QAnon and groups based on similarly bizarre conspiracy theories as potential domestic terrorist threats. There were later allegations that QAnon followers were among the rioters on the Capitol in Washington in January 2021.

The Guardian article admitted that the employment of Jenny Morrison’s friend involved no political or advisory role, and there was no suggestion that her friend’s husband had influenced, or even spoken to, the Prime Minister about these views. However, other reporters were less scrupulous. Soon after the Guardian story appeared, David Hardaker, a former ABC journalist on Four Corners and 7.30 Report but then writing for the online news sheet Crikey, claimed this so-called connection with QAnon posed “a potential security threat” to Australia. Hardaker identified Jenny Morrison’s friend as Lynelle Stewart and named her husband Tim Stewart as the author of the tweets.

Hardaker could only offer one connection between QAnon and Morrison. Hardaker said Tim Stewart’s tweets depicted elaborate ceremonies where children were prepared for sacrifice by groups of Satan worshipers. Stewart referred to this as “Luciferian” or satanic “ritual abuse”. The connection with Morrison supposedly occurred on October 22 2018 when, in response to a recommendation by the Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse, Morrison made his public apology to victims. He said: “The crimes of ritual sexual abuse happened in schools, churches, youth groups, scout troops, orphanages, foster homes, sporting clubs, group homes, charities, and in family homes as well.” Hardaker claimed Morrison’s use of the word “ritual” revealed his acceptance of the QAnon theory. Hardaker wrote:

“Ritual sexual abuse”? This was not a phrase used by the Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sex Abuse — yet it had made its way the PM’s historic address to the nation.

This one use of the word “ritual” was all he had to go on. But journalist Samantha Maiden wrote in news.com.au that others had followed this interpretation:

It follows widespread claims online that there was some significance to the Prime Minister referring to “ritual” sex abuse in a speech on institutional sex abuse. The use of the term “ritual” is often deployed by QAnon supporters in the context of their belief that the world has been overtaken by Satan-worshipping paedophiles.

In Louise Milligan’s story on Four Corners on June 14, which largely repeats the version of events given by Hardaker, she interviewed Michael Salter, a criminologist at the University of New South Wales, who also endorsed the claim that the term “ritual” was not in public usage when Morrison made his 2018 apology and that the term must come from QAnon’s Australian supporters.

However, any connection between Morrison’s speech and QAnon’s theories is absurd. Morrison did not need help from Tim Stewart or anyone else to use the term “ritual”. Contrary to the claims by Hardaker and Salter, the concept of ritual child abuse was part of the investigations of the Royal Commission. In its various volumes, the Commission used the term “ritual” several times in relation to child abuse activities. In the executive summary of its Final Report in 2017, it summarised:

In private sessions and case studies we heard about children experiencing sexual abuse in places of worship or related locations such as a confessional, a priest’s residence or a ritual bathhouse … We also heard that some children experienced sexual abuse that involved the use of religious rituals, symbols or language.

Two of the major witnesses at its hearings, Gordon Hill and Cathy Kezelman, both claimed to have been sexually abused as children during religious rituals. Some of the bizarre assaults Hill told the Commission he suffered at the hands of priests and nuns at St Joseph’s orphanage at Ballarat, were supposedly conducted in a satanically decorated “dungeon”. Kezelman claimed she had “recovered memories” of her childhood when she was subject to “satanic sexual rituals” by her father and other satanic abusers in a cave near Brisbane. Kezelman wrote a book, Innocence Revisited, recounting all this in lurid detail. Kezelman was taken seriously by the Royal Commission and it appointed her to write counselling guidelines for staff at sexual assault clinics. In other words, “ritual” was not a rare term in 2018 and no connection to QAnon follows from Morrison’s use of it.

It should be said that not everyone at the ABC accepted the “ritual” connection. After he saw a rough-cut draft of Milligan’s story, news director Gaven Morris was concerned enough to send it up to managing director David Anderson for appraisal. Anderson sent the draft back to Four Corners saying it needed “more work”. Before the story was broadcast, Paul Barry, the presenter of the ABC’s Media Watch program, was one of those who observed that the attempt to connect Morrison to QAnon through his use of the term “ritual” was barely credible. Barry told his viewers:

Now, as proof of influence over the PM, you may think that is not super strong. And while Milligan is no doubt aiming to firm up any evidence, some in ABC editorial management still regard it as thin.

However, the ABC’s news director and managing director both proved incapable of diverting Milligan from her objective. They saw very little of the “more work” they told her to do. She went ahead and in the story broadcast on June 14 treated the feeble claim about “ritual” as if it was somehow proof of Morrison’s guilt. Management had revealed itself powerless to stop her.

In the hands of some of the most celebrated people who call themselves investigative journalists today, fanciful rubbish of this kind is what now passes as evidence for media attacks on political targets. In other words, “corruption in high places” is a phrase that now applies as much to the corporations of today’s news media as to the worst of the institutions that the once great tradition of investigative journalism originally set out to expose.

M How the MSM distorts and lies. This is another quadrant article but to spare you all I have only pasted a little:

During the all-important lead-up to the US election, a low point for President Trump was the Black Lives Matter riots in the capital. We learnt from the ABC 7pm TV news June 1 last year that Trump ORDERED his enforcement troops to clear PEACEFUL demonstrators from Lafayette Park next to the White House with TEAR GAS and RUBBER BULLETS. This was to enable him to walk across to St John’s Church, “the Church of Presidents”, and wave a Bible for a photo opp.

It perfectly validated the narrative of Trump as the brutal, egotistical and unelectable buffoon — except that each element I’ve put in caps above was false. The park was cleared to allow civilian contractors to put up a scale-proof fence to prevent further arson and vandalism in the park. Trump’s impromptu walk was never a consideration. When Attorney-General Barr told the on-site construction commander mid-afternoon that Trump was coming out, he replied, “Are you freaking kidding me?”

Nonetheless the media strategy worked and within a month, “support for [Joe] Biden shot up and it’s been pretty steady since then.”

The real story has emerged, a full year later, from a 41-page report by Inspector General Mark Greenblatt, of the Department of the Interior. It’s meticulously objective and referenced. It covered the role of the federal US Parks Police (USPP) which led the clearing of the square.[1] The clearance had been arranged two days earlier. Park chief Gregory Monahan told the inquiry, “I can tell you with 100 percent certainty that the Secret Service and the Park Police timeline did not change the entire day.”

NBC News is America’s top-rated broadcaster (and, like CNN, thoroughly captured by the Biden forces). Ken Dilanian is the network’s intelligence and national security correspondent. He told viewers last week about the report,“A narrative we thought we knew is not the reality.” Nice to hear a confession about the media’s pervasive fakery.

The ABC recycles these networks’ material into Australian homes, covering the Trump walk with its usual bias and incompetence. Let’s take just one element of the coverage, the “tear gas”.

To the ABC, the white stuff in the air around the park was “tear gas”, whereas it was actually harmless smoke fired by law enforcers to intimidate rioters pelting police with missiles. Stills and movie footage showed troopers walking around in the “tear gas” without gas masks, a detail overlooked by the stupid journos.

The Parks Police convincingly denied at the time that they had used any tear gas that day, while acknowledging using tear gas Saturday and Sunday against violent mobs.

Classics Won’t Be the Same Without Latin or Greek”
    Natalie Solent (Essex) ·
The classics department at Princeton University recently decided that the idea that classics majors ought to know Latin or Greek has been a mistake. Old-fashioned, perhaps. Until now, undergrads who wanted to major in the study of classical texts needed to come into the concentration with at least an intermediate level of Latin or Greek. But those students will no longer even have to learn either language to receive a degree in classics. This is a typical example of a university rushing to make policy changes under the guise of promoting racial equity that are as likely to promote racism as to uproot it.

“Classics Won’t Be the Same Without Latin or Greek”, Professor John McWhorter writes in the Atlantic. He goes on to argue that

Crucially, you often must go through a phase of drudgery—learning the rules, memorizing vocabulary—before you pass into a phase of mastery and comprehension, like dealing with scales on the piano before playing sonatas. The Princeton decision is discouraging students from even beginning this process. Professors may think of the change as a response to racism, but the implicit intention — sparing Black students the effort of learning Latin or Greek — can be interpreted as racist itself.

Being interested in languages, I bought Professor McWhorter’s The Language Hoax a few years back. I recommend it. It is something of a riposte to Professor Guy Deutscher’s Through the Language Glass and I love a joust between academics. In the course of reading The Language Hoax I found out that Professor McWhorter is black. In a sane world I would have been only mildly interested in this fact, in the way that one is mildly interested to see an author’s photo on the dust jacket and to learn that he or she has two cats with amusing names. Or in the way that I was mildly interested but not at all surprised to learn that Professor Deutscher is an Israeli. We do not live in a sane world. Black American academics in fields that do not have “Black” in the title are rare. There are many reasons for this, including racism of the old and the new kinds.

If Princeton has its way they will soon be rarer still.

The Princeton classics department’s new position is tantamount to saying that Latin and Greek are too hard to require Black students to learn. But W. E. B. Du Bois, who taught both Latin and Greek for a spell, would have been shocked to discover that a more enlightened America should have excused him from learning the classical languages because his Blackness made him “vibrant” enough without going to the trouble of mastering something new.

When students get a degree in classics, they should know Latin or Greek. Even if they are Black. Note how offensive that even is. But the Princeton classics department’s decision forces me to phrase it that way. How is it anti-racist to exempt Black students from challenges?

Related: “Heresies of our time: that children should be taught to read music” – a post from 2020 in which I mentioned the proposal from the Oxford Classics faculty to reduce the “attainment gaps” between male and female students and between those educated at state schools and private schools by dropping Homer and Virgil from the first part of an Oxford Classics degree. So far as I can tell this proposal has not been implemented yet, so maybe the petition worked. But the engineers of the human soul are nothing if not patient.

  4. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2315929/Boston-terror-suspects-uncle-married-CIA-officers-daughter-shared-home-agent.html

Sounds like nepotism, cronyism and incompetence are not just Third World bureaucracy problems.

    M thx to https://www.anonymousconservative.com/blog/

The Boston Bombing suspect’s uncle was married to a CIA officer’s daughter. How awkward. He even lived in the CIA officer’s house for a year. And this isn’t even a CIA officer who was hired to do the dangerous stuff and was viewed as an expendable rube by those who run things. This is one of the ones who went to work for RAND after getting out, where he was like an Agency mouthpiece in the media. You don’t get that job walking in off the street. Erik Prince went in as a full blown high IQ Navy SEAL with a billionaire heir’s resume, and CIA laughed and sent him out the door, before he went on to change the world all by himself with Blackwater, at which point the Agency recruited him just to control him better. This guy was royalty before the Agency ever brought him in. And his daughter is hitched up to a broke Chechen immigrant? I told you they bring their kids into it at a very early age, even running them in schools, against other kids. For those in it, by the time they reach adulthood, it is just like a way of life. They buy a house where it tells them. They spy on who it tells them. I suspect they sleep with who it tells them, and they may even marry who it tells them. They work where it tells them. They shop where it tells them. They give access to their house to the machine to install whatever it wants in it when it tells them. I suspect even the lowly street followers get earpieces, and the voice in the basement command center just jumps in their ear with directions whenever they are in the area of something. Then the kids bring their future spouses into it, and if they have kids, their kids get brought into it. Now I wonder about those shots of the team in hoodies and tan khakis with backpacks that looked a lot like the supposed bomb backpacks. I even wonder if the older brother got killed, or if he is on a beach in Tahiti, having a Mojito with Timothy McVeigh and Jeffrey Epstein. Nothing was what it seemed.

  5. The interview with Dr. Simone Gold, below, is excellent. She discusses the splitting of society into the injected and the not injected. –Talk about post-modern deconstructionism. Feminism is a Volkswagon compared to this dismantling Ferrari. This cleaver splits every societal molecule and atom like a hot knife through butter. We’ve seen six-feet apart, stand on your dot, stay at home, wear a mask, wash your hands, a so-called “bubble” comprised of familiar people who are permitted to see eachother–even if some may not be family–and lines on floors telling us where to walk. We’ve seen all of this done in virtual lockstep by every nation and leader on Earth, as if by plan. We saw Russia shoot out of the gate with the Sputnik injection like Johnny-on-the-spot. We saw Gates predict this years in advance like a clairvoyant, which he isn’t. We’ve seen Israel speed out to the front of the world’s injection race only to wonder if she will be existentially threatened by her own efficiency years henceforth. But alas, these injections of experimental biochemicals are too personal a threat to some Joe Blows.

I also wonder if and how injection hesitancy has any utility for the globalist/CCP cause, and if this is being seeded by that enemy into the info battle space. At this point the utility I see for it is the further fractionalizing and destabilizing of our societies. Such weakening is no mean feat.

Conversely, the talk of civil war brought on by the galvanized resolve of people resisting having their bodies violated will, in my opinion, become reality if our legal systems fail us. And our systems only fail us if our judges fail us. Our judges will fail us if they are politicized. We know Soros installed political judges in the U.S., so I think Dr. Gold’s faith in her legal system is slightly naive, but give her great credit for wanting to go after judges. We know Soros likely politicized legal systems in many countries. Everything from soup to nuts is now politicized, which is the telegraphing of tyranny.

The hour of awakening may seem late for Joe Blow, but I don’t think it is ever too late, and I’ll tell you why.

Once upon a time I was a teenager out with some buddies. This was long enough ago when you did stupid, juevenile things like drink and drive. We were parked in a park somewhere and one of my friends fell asleep, drunk, in the back seat. Another less familiar fellow thought he’d have some fun and started sticking things into my friend’s mouth. I warned him not to do this. He ignored me because he found his pranking to be quite hilarious. Finally, while trying to stick a Cheesie in my friend’s mouth, the sleeping dog took a swing and punched the prankster very hard in the temple. The joker never saw it coming.

Joe Blow can give a whole new definition to the term “woke”, and it may be brutal. He will examine the damage done by greedy, brutal, power-made, heartless, narcissistic assholes. He will look to the law for help. If the law fails him because it has become corrupt he will seek his pound of flesh.

Boldly going: NASA launches new ‘Mission Equity’

    NASA video, YouTube

    By Steven Hall

The National Aeronautics and Space Administration is launching a new mission on Friday to analyze what parts of its agency have potential barriers for historically “underrepresented and underserved” communities.

Mission Equity is an endeavor to look at the agency’s programs, procurements, grants and policies to examine what challenges exist for minorities who want to join the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA). The agency identified “underrepresented and underserved” people as African American, Latino, Native American, Asian, religious minorities, LGBTQ+ people, people with disabilities, people who live in rural areas and impoverished people.

“At NASA, we’re on a mission of equity, launching opportunity … to reach those we’ve never reached before … to shatter boundaries and break down barriers across America,” NASA staffers say in the video.

So the head of Chinese counter intel efforts in America has defected to USA. He’s in the hands of DIA right now. His name is Dong Jingwei.

He’s provided DIA with the contents of Hunter Biden’s laptop.

He has confirmed that a THIRD of all Chinese students in US are spies.

    https://twitter.com/EmeraldRobinson/status/1405911564444655621

    ——————————————————————-

According to multiple media outlets, this high level Chinese detector gave info to DIA:

    1) Financial records on US govt officials & business people who took money from CCP.

    2) US citizens who gave intel to China.

    3) Names of Chinese spies currently in USA.

    ———————————————————————–

According to Townhall & Red State, Dong “has extremely embarrassing and damaging information about our intelligence community” in the data he has given to DIA.

    —————————————————————–

According to Red State sources, this defector “has the rest of the intelligence community [in USA] and the LEO community scared shitless.”

Obviously this should be one of the top stories in the US media today.

    ——————————————————————
RedState – BREAKING: Chinese Defector’s Identity Confirmed, Was Top Counterintelligence Official

We now know the name of the Chinese defector who has been working with the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) for a few months and what his position within the Chinese military and government was, among other details.

Matthew Brazil and Jeff Stein at Spy Talk reported on the “rumor,” and gave the name and background of the rumored defector:

Chinese-language anti-communist media and Twitter are abuzz this week with rumors that a vice minister of State Security, Dong Jingwei defected in mid-February, flying from Hong Kong to the United States with his daughter, Dong Yang.

Dong is, or was, a longtime official in China’s Ministry of State Security (MSS), also known as the Guoanbu. His publicly available background indicates that he was responsible for the Ministry’s counterintelligence efforts in China, i.e., spy-catching, since being promoted to vice minister in April 2018. If the stories are true, Dong would be the highest-level defector in the history of the People’s Republic of China.

RedState’s sources confirmed that the defector is, in fact, Dong, that he was in charge of counterintelligence efforts in China, and that he flew to the United States in mid-February, allegedly to visit his daughter at a university in California. When Dong landed in California he contacted DIA officials and told them about his plans to defect and the information he’d brought with him. Dong then “hid in plain sight” for about two weeks before disappearing into DIA custody.

According to Spy Talk, Dong’s name came up during the Sino-American Summit held in Alaska in March 2021:

In a tweet on Wednesday, Han [Dr. Han Lianchao, a Chinese defector], citing an unnamed source, alleged that China’s foreign minister Wang Yi and Communist Party foreign affairs boss Yang Jiechi demanded that the Americans return Dong and Secretary of State Anthony Blinken refused.

RedState’s sources say that Chinese officials did demand that the United States return Dong, but Blinken didn’t exactly refuse; at that time Blinken wasn’t aware that Dong was with the US government, the sources say, and told China that the US didn’t have Dong.

It’s only in the last three to four weeks that anyone outside DIA knew about the defector, according to RedState’s sources. Prior to that time, DIA was vetting the information provided and confronting Langley officials with what they’d learned without divulging the source.

Experts quoted in the Spy Talk piece essentially say that the defection is just a rumor and that rumors happen all the time, but that if it’s true it’s a big deal but “not game-changing.” Based on conversations with sources familiar with the information Dong has already provided and its quantity and reliability, that’s simply not the case. Not only does Dong have detailed information about China’s special weapons systems, the Chinese military’s operation of the Wuhan Institute of Virology and the origins of SARS-CoV-2, and the Chinese government’s assets and sources within the United States; Dong has extremely embarrassing and damaging information about our intelligence community and government officials in the “terabytes of data” he’s provided to the DIA.

Some of the information provided by Dong was reported on by the Washington Free Beacon earlier this week:

Hundreds of Chinese nationals are the subject of a federal probe after law enforcement officials flagged their travel at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic. The Chinese nationals returned to the United States earlier than expected in January 2020, often having modified their travel plans.

The episode is recounted in an internal report that circulated among various national security and law enforcement agencies on June 3. That report surmises that the Chinese students returned to the United States earlier than expected in order to avoid future travel restrictions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.

“The team examined 58,000 inbound Chinese F/J visa holders in the [Passenger Name Record] database and identified 396 individuals whose return travel was [scheduled] after January 2020 but had returned in January 2020,” the report reads.

The Free Beacon reports that U.S. intelligence officials haven’t come to a conclusion about whether or not the students being investigated were spies, but RedState is told that whether or not one wants to use the term “spy,” those students were sent back to the United States with specific information-gathering directives with the purpose of helping Beijing understand the US government’s response to the pandemic at a much deeper level than they could through publicly-available documents. Those students (spies) were charged with reporting back on public policy changes, economic response and damage, impacts on the healthcare system (equipment/hospital bed shortages, etc), supply chain impacts (including how long it took things like semiconductors from China to reach the United States), civil unrest, and more.

In addition, Dong has provided DIA with the following information:

-Early pathogenic studies of the virus we now know as SARS-CoV-2
-Models of predicted COVID-19 spread and damage to the US and the world
-Financial records detailing which exact organizations and governments funded the research on SARS-CoV-2 and other biological warfare research
-Names of US citizens who provide intel to China
-Names of Chinese spies working in the US or attending US universities
-Financial records showing US businessmen and public officials who’ve received money from the Chinese government
-Details of meetings US government officials had (perhaps unwittingly) with Chinese spies and members of Russia’s SVR

How the Chinese government gained access to a CIA communications system, leading to the death of dozens of Chinese people who were working with the CIA

Dong also has provided DIA with copies of the contents of the hard drive on Hunter Biden’s laptop, showing the information the Chinese government has about Hunter’s pornography problem and about his (and Joe’s) business dealings with Chinese entities. Some of the files on Dong has provided shine a light on just how it was that the sale of Henniges Automotive (and their stealth technology) to Chinese military manufacturer AVIC Auto was approved.

Again, according to sources, Dong told DIA debriefers that at least a third of Chinese students attending US universities are PLA assets or part of the Thousand Talents Plan and that many of the students are here under pseudonyms. One reason for using pseudonyms is that many of these students are the children of high-ranking military and party leaders.

As we initially reported, DIA has high confidence in the veracity of Dong’s claims. The fact that since our original report, which was pooh-poohed by Langley apologists, the New York Times published a rare interview with Dr. Shi Zhengli (the WIV “Bat Woman”), ABC News has started an “investigation” into COVID-19 origins, and now the actual name of the defector has been published in an anti-Trump, CIA-friendly blog, demonstrates what sources told RedState today: “This defector has the rest of the intelligence community and the LEO community scared sh**less.”

  9. Texas Becomes Most Pro Gun State In The Country Because of What the Governor Just Did

      • The attacks on the Second Amendment have two goals, one stated and one unstated.

The stated goal is to disarm the US citizens, this will achieve two purposes. First it will remove the tools we need to defend ourselves from the criminals leaving at the mercy of the criminals until/when/if the police show up.

The second part of this is that it will remove the tools that we need to protect ourselves against a tyrannical government that has decided that our Democratically Elected Representative Republic is no longer viable and thus we need the guidance of of the self proclaimed elite that cmposes most of the Federal Level politicians and bureaucrats. We are witnessing this right now and are seeing the State Governments in the Heartland raise up and tell the Feds where to insert their Unconstitutional Laws and what they can do after the laws are inserted in the appropriate opening.

The unstated goal is to destroy the US Constitution by setting the precedent that 1) the Rights in the Bill of Rights aren’t natural rights they come from the government and 2) the government can remove these rights when it becomes necessary to do so in order to protect the “Reign” of our self proclamed political elites.

The wanna be tyrants haved shown this during the Covid 10 (Wuhan Flu) scam and the way they are illegally depriving us or in some cases life, in all cases liberty and the pursuit of happiness. The logical end result of all of their action (if they succeed) is for them to become a ruling class while the rest of us will become serfs in a cast system that will be as harsh as India’s was, if not harsher. The Red States are fighting back with more and more of them declaring themselves Second Amendment Sanctuary States, more and more passing laws forbidding any Government Official in their states from helping to enforce unconstituional gun laws. (I wonder how long before they make that all unconstitutional laws?)

A result of the growing divide is the way the exodus from the Blut States that have Government Friendly Laws to the Red States With People Friendly Laws. A lot of people are worried about the influx turning Red States Blue, I’m not because most of the people who are fleeing the Blue States always voted conservative, or at least against the Dems.

What we are seeing is the opening stages of a Second Civil War, the first was started by the Dems when they abuses the States Rights to elslave people. The second is being started by the Dems as the abuse the Federal Governments Power to enslave people. A lot of people are fond of saying that a bunch of citizens with privatly owned firearms can’t win a war against a modern Army. The Viet Cong fought against a modern army and while they lost their war (mainly because the North Vietnamese stabbed them in the back during the 67 Tet Offensive) they held out for quite a few years and until the US came intot he war were close to winning. If the right is forced to start the Second Civil War it won’t be just private citizens armed with peersonal weapons, it will be Guard Units from the Red and some of the Purple States, Rebular units that decide to remain true to their oaths to defend the constitution and private citizens with privatly owned firearms. So far the Right has been working within the law trying to use State and US Code against the Dems, we are winning more of those suits then we are losing. We are also hoping that we can win control of both Houses of Congress in the 2022 elections, if we can there is a chance we can regain control of the government through the ballot boxes and force the Left to resort to rebelling against the duly elected government of the United States.

  10. UN: Guterres appointed for second term as UN secretary-general

The United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) appointed UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres for a second five-year term on Friday at the UN’s headquarters in New York City.

Guterres took oath in the General Assembly Hall, followed by a speech where he announced his awareness “of the immense responsibilities” bestowed on him “at the cusp of a new era.”

“We are truly at a crossroads, with consequential choices before us. Paradigms are shifting. Old orthodoxies are being flipped. We are writing our own history with the choices we make right now. It can go either way: breakdown and perpetual crisis or breakthrough and prospect of a greener, safer and better future for all.”

The current Secretary-General succeeded Ban Ki-moon in 2017, weeks before ex-president Trump was elected.

Much of his term dealt with soothing Donald Trumps questioning the UN and multilateralism.

  17. The National Pulse – REVEALED: Google & USAID Funded Wuhan Collaborator Peter Daszak’s Virus Experiments For Over A Decade.

Google funded research conducted by Peter Daszak’s EcoHealth Alliance – a controversial group which has openly collaborated with the Wuhan Institute of Virology on “killer” bat coronavirus research – for over a decade, The National Pulse can today reveal.

The unearthed financial ties between EcoHealth Alliance and Google follow months of big tech censorship of stories and individuals in support of the COVID-19 “lab leak” theory.

The Google-backed EcoHealth Alliance played a critical role in the cover-up of COVID-19’s origins through its president, Peter Daszak.

Daszak served on the wildly compromised World Health Organization’s (WHO) COVID-19 investigation team. He championed the efforts to “debunk” the lab origin theory of the virus, despite mounting support for the claim first made by experts on Steve Bannon’s War Room: Pandemic podcast in early January 2020.

Left-wing websites masquerading as “fact checkers” still call the lab theory “false,” despite the shift in tone from the Biden regime, leading world scientists, and intelligence officials.

EcoHealth Alliance also funneled hundreds of thousands of U.S. taxpayer dollars from Dr. Anthony Fauci’s National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) to its research partner, the Wuhan Institute of Virology, to conduct studies on “killer” bat coronaviruses.

And Google.org, the charity arm of the tech behemoth, has also been funding studies carried out by EcoHealth alliance researchers including Peter Daszak since at least 2010.

The decade-plus relationship is evident in a 2010 study on bat flaviviruses, which lists Daszak and EcoHealth Alliance Vice President Jonathan Epstein as authors, that thanks Google.org for funding. A 2014 study on henipavirus spillover, which was authored by Daszak, similarly declares it was partly “supported by Google.org.”

And a 2015 paper focusing on herpes, which lists EcoHealth’s Daszak and Epstein as authors, reveals it was “supported by funding from the US Agency for International Development’s Emerging Pandemic Threats: PREDICT program, the Skoll Foundation, and Google.org.”

In 2018, EcoHealth Alliance researchers authored a paper entitled “Serologic and Behavioral Risk Survey of Workers with Wildlife Contact in China” that was “made possible” by the financial contribution of Google.org.

    The 14-page paper’s abstract summarizes:

We report on a study conducted in Guangdong Province, China, to characterize behaviors and perceptions associated with transmission of pathogens with pandemic potential in highly exposed human populations at the animal-human interface. A risk factor/exposure survey was administered to individuals with high levels of exposure to wildlife.

The paper appears to lay the groundwork for the theory that SARS-like coronaviruses could originate in a wet market in a province close to the city of Wuhan – the likely epicenter of COVID-19.

“The majority of human infectious diseases have an animal origin, therefore understanding the human-animal interface as it relates to disease emergence and risk is of upmost importance The increasing frequency and variety of human-wildlife interactions in China provide opportunities for the transmission of zoonotic pathogens from animals to humans,” the paper begins.

The paper also highlights how SARS has “emerged in humans and other mammals in wet markets”:

Handling, transporting, and butchering of hunted or farmed wildlife poses a risk of pathogen spillover into humans. In southern China provinces, including Guangdong, a significant percentage of the population obtains fresh meat for consumption from wet markets, community markets that specialize in selling and butchering live animals, including animals that are rare and endangered. Research has demonstrated that human-animal interfaces, such as within these wet markets, provide an ideal environment for infectious disease emergence, transmission, and amplification.

  18. Gang life, not racism, is responsible for Chicago’s violence, alderman says
by Jeremy Beaman, Breaking News Reporter | | June 19, 2021 07:00 AM
    5-6 minutes

Residents in one Chicago ward are “giving up” on calling the police as the city fails to protect them from violent crime, according to one city council member.

Alderman Raymond Lopez described the violence plaguing his constituents in the city’s 15th Ward and beyond, slamming Democratic Mayor Lori Lightfoot, whose law enforcement policies and focus on systemic racism, he said, are doing little to stop the mostly gang-related violence.

“Generational gang life isn’t just something that’s encouraged. It’s almost revered in some neighborhoods,” Lopez, whose constituents are about 67% Latino and 22% black, told the Washington Examiner in an interview. “If you really want to get to what is at the heart of a lot of this, it is gangs, and it is the borderline collapse of the family unit in many of our neighborhoods … [Lightfoot] has avoided calling out gangs in our community as a source of violence in our city.”

  20. Thomas Massie drops TRUTH on reporter after asking about his vaccination status

Thomas Massie dropped some truth on a reporter today who pressed him about his vaccination status:

I love how Massie tells the reporter what’s up, saying “first of all, it’s none of your business…”

Of course he proceeds to tell her, making clear that there is no data suggesting that the vaccine will make him anymore immunite to the virus than he already is, having had COVID already.

There’s not much more to the video, but it’s awesome to see Massie hitting back at a reporter with a little bit of truth.

Since the Biden administration assumed office, it has been increasingly appeasing the Iranian regime, which in return, is further emboldening and empowering the mullahs. Since the Biden administration assumed office, it has been increasingly appeasing the Iranian regime, which in return, is further emboldening and empowering the mullahs.

The first appeasement came when the administration changed the previous administration’s policy of maximum pressure to a policy of appeasement toward the Iran’s proxy militia group, the Houthis. Even as evidence — including a report by the United Nations — showed that the Iranian regime is delivering sophisticated weapons to the Houthi militia group in Yemen, the Biden administration suspended some of the sanctions against terrorism that the previous administration imposed on the Houthis. The previous US administration had designated Iran’s proxies, the Houthis, a terrorist group.

  22. Canon Installs Smile Recognition Technology In Chinese Offices; Employees Can Only Enter Rooms If They Smile
    Ian Haworth
    4-5 minutes

Canon has reportedly installed “smile recognition” technology in the offices of its Chinese subsidiary, with employees only permitted to enter rooms or book meetings if they are smiling.

The AI-backed technology was first reported by The Financial Times, on the subject of how Chinese corporations are tracking employees with the help of cutting-edge technology.

As The Verge noted, “Firms are monitoring which programs employees use on their computers to gauge their productivity; using CCTV cameras to measure how long they take on their lunch break; and even tracking their movements outside the office using mobile apps.”

“Workers are not being replaced by algorithms and artificial intelligence. Instead, the management is being sort of augmented by these technologies,” King’s College London academic Nick Srnicek told The Financial Times. “Technologies are increasing the pace for people who work with machines instead of the other way around, just like what happened during the industrial revolution in the 18th century.”
