Reader’s Links for June 16, 2021

Each day at just after midnight Eastern, a post like this one is created for contributors and readers of this site to upload news links and video links on the issues that concern this site. Most notably, Islam and its effects on Classical Civilization, and various forms of leftism from Soviet era communism, to postmodernism and all the flavours of galloping statism and totalitarianism such as Nazism and Fascism which are increasingly snuffing out the classical liberalism which created our near, miraculous civilization the West has been building since the time of Socrates.

This document was written around the time this site was created, for those who wish to understand what this site is about. And while our understanding of the world and events has grown since then, the basic ideas remain sound and true to the purpose.

So please post all links, thoughts and ideas that you feel will benefit the readers of this site to the comments under this post each day. And thank you all for your contributions.

This is the new Samizdat. We must use it while we can.

  1. It’s Called “Cultural Marxism” For a Reason

There are a lot of people referencing a Jon Stewart clip from last night and pondering if he went off script in identifying the Wuhan Bio-lab as the origin of the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus that created the COVID pandemic. Many more are giving him credit for stating the brutally obvious to a majority leftist audience; as if he is on the cutting edge of revolutionary thought amid a tribe that is antithetical to anything against their politics.

Let me be clear, Stewart is a full-throated moonbat leader of the worst kind. Factually, Jon Stewart, the intellectual epicenter of the Moonbat tribe, is even worse than hypocritical. Stewart was one of the key cultural marxists who was pushing the COVID panic to support the ideological and political objectives of those who control the sheeple Moonbat tribe.

Jon Stewart is not being a truth-teller. He is however, living out the creed of Cultural Marxists: ‘Retain the lie until it has exhausted its usefulness; then -in the face of irrefutable evidence- instead of acknowledging the lies, simply reverse positions, attempt to retain credibility and deny ever participating in the lie‘.

THAT’s what liars do; and Hollywood liars do it because they are intent on molding society and cultural outlooks.

THAT’s why the outcome of their toxic behavior is called “cultural Marxism.”

Stewart lives a life of tribal elitism amid an ideological crew that surrounds every facet of his life. His entire sense of self is created by far-leftist ideology. He parties with elitist moonbats, he hangs out with elitist moonbats; lives, works, eats and breathes amid the system of far-left advancement of ideology.

Stewart was Barack Obama’s biggest advocate and he criticized, marginalized and ridiculed anyone who was intellectually honest about the destruction of the social fabric created as an outcome of their infected racist, collectivist and Marxist thinking.

The video segment doesn’t reflect Jon Stewart as a honest broker any more than the few times when Bill Maher calls out the tribe for the miserable consequences of Wokeism. These creeps rely on their victims granting them the benefit of doubt.

  2. Israel develops camouflage tech that makes soldiers ‘invisible’

Polaris Solutions unveils ‘Kit 300’, which was developed in cooperation with the Defense Ministry and is made out of special thermal visual concealment material that makes troops increasingly difficult to distinguish from landscape

The lightweight sheet is made out of a special thermal visual concealment (TVC) material, comprised of metals, polymers and microfibers. The material allows soldiers much more difficult to distinguish from nature, both with the naked eye and with thermal imaging equipment. Thus, it can be used for countersurveillance in a wide variety of military scenarios….

Each sheet comes with different coloration on each side: one for dense vegetation and the other for more desert-like landscapes. In addition, the company customizes patterns and coloring based on client needs and geographic region.

The sturdy material can be molded into three-dimensional shapes or folded into a compact roll. It also is waterproof, can provide shelter or be fashioned into a stretcher to carry wounded soldiers on the battlefield.

“It has additional value in medical use,” Pinkas said, adding that it can carry weight up to 250 kilograms, can be used as a splint to immobilize a broken bone and can serve as a hypothermia blanket….

Petition to Remove Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin:

No institution in America – from government offices to schoolrooms to corporate boardrooms and beyond – is safe today from the divisive racism of Critical Race Theory and the “1619 Project.” both of which posit that United States history is rooted in slavery and white supremacy, and that “whiteness” is an incurable disease. The institution whose subversion poses the greatest threat to our national security is the U.S. military, whose head is Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin. General Austin is a determined advocate of these repulsive anti-American views.

As Secretary of Defense, Lloyd Austin has incorporated both Critical Race Theory and the 1619 Project as core elements of the Pentagon’s military training programs, under the guise of “Diversity, Equity and Inclusion.” He has further ordered a purging of the military ranks of what he calls “extremists,” defined as opponents of these noxious views and supporters of former president Donald Trump.

The consequence of dividing our troops by race and gender, and regarding one community of Americans as oppressors and beneficiaries of race and gender-based privileges is a direct threat to unit cohesion and military morale, the core elements of an effective military force.

That’s why I hope you’ll join me, and demand the Removal of Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin.

The future of the west as seen by Democrats as shoplifting of <950$ is only a misdemeanour and not worth the effort of the police.
There are poor people who are not starving, but who steal, and they are thieves, not poor people. Only when they or their family are starving is minor theft acceptable and then barely so. In the west there is no real excuse for starvation as if you waste your government handout on other things, that is your fault.

COVID vaccine makers have a disturbing track record of criminal and civil liability.

Vaccine manufacturers have a history of “aggressive marketing of inappropriate drugs, kickbacks to doctors, claim of testing children without proper consent” and more.

Politicians and corporate CEOs offering clever incentives to encourage people to roll up their sleeves for COVID-19 vaccines tend not to talk about the vaccine companies’ troubling history of illegal business practices including fraudulent marketing, patent infringement, and failing to notify consumers about toxic ingredients.

Between 1991 and 2017, Johnson and Johnson, Pfizer and AstraZeneca -three vaccine makers whose COVID vaccines are widely used across he world – have together paid out a total of 8.62 Billion dollars to resolve civil and criminal allegations in 67 states and federal settlements. Moderna, a relative newcomer, has come under scrutiny for secrecy about its funding and results of its clinical trials. The fraught legal history of the corporations tends to grant legitimacy to the skepticism many feel about the safety and efficacy of the vaccines they have produced.

In December, 2020 report published by the UK-based social justice organization, Global Justice Now, Director, Nick Deardon and Dr. James Angel wrote that “the current pharmaceutical model is actually deeply flawed, delivering outcomes which are poor value for he public sector, which exacerbates global inequality and which are driven by the objective to make sky-high returns to shareholders, not a healthier population.

The report by Global Justice Now, which has criticized the Bill and Melinda Foundation for “unaccountably skewing the direction of international development “, went on to describe the pharmaceutical model as one which grants incentives for “the most appalling behaviour including aggressive marketing of inappropriate drugs, kickbacks to doctors, claims of testing drugs on children without proper consent, massive price hikes on essential medicines, profiteering, blocking competition, and secrecy…….Some of this behaviour has given rise to serious and legal challenges and some of the largest fines in history”.

In a recent example of just such behaviour, Johnson and Johnson is likely to pay a multi-million dollar settlement after the Supreme Court rejected an appeal earlier this month to reverse a 2018 decision by a Missouri Circuit Court which awarded 4.7 Billion dollar payout to 22 women who developed ovarian cancer which they claimed was caused by asbestos present in the company’s baby powder.

In 2013 Johnson and Johnson was ordered to pay over 2 billion dollars to resolve criminal and civil liability arising from allegations relating to the prescription drugs Risperdal, invega and Natrecor, including promotion for uses not approved as safe and effective by the FDA and payments of kickbacks to physicians and to the nation’s largest long-term pharmacy provider”, according to the Department of Justice.

The list goes on and on and all the vaccine companies are named……..

Biden’s Oil and Gas Lease Ban Blocked by Federal Judge

A federal judge in Louisiana has blocked President Joe Biden’s suspension of new oil and gas leases on federal land and water, delivering a setback to the administration’s efforts to transition away from fossil fuels.

U.S. District Judge Terry Doughty’s ruling (pdf), filed on June 15, grants a preliminary injunction in a 13-state lawsuit led by Louisiana Republican Attorney General Jeff Landry (pdf).

“This is a victory not only for the rule of law, but also for the thousands of workers who produce affordable energy for Americans,” Landry said in a statement following the ruling.

Technically, the injunction amounts to a halt of the Biden administration’s suspension of new drilling permits, with a nationwide effect, pending further arguments on the merits of the case. The lawsuit alleged that the Biden administration violated provisions of the Administrative Procedure Act (APA) and that Biden exceeded his powers in Section 208 of Executive Order 14008.

The recent left-wing push for Justice Stephen Breyer to retire in favor of a younger liberal justice is likely to make the Supreme Court more conservative, at least on the margins.

Advocacy groups and liberal law professors are practically muscling the 82-year-old Clinton appointee off the bench, with memories of the late Ruth Bader Ginsburg fresh in mind. The liberal judicial group Demand Justice mounted a billboard that read, “Breyer, retire. It’s time for a Black woman Supreme Court justice,” onto a truck that circled the Supreme Court in April.

With a right-leaning majority in place for the foreseeable future, it’s easy to see why liberals want a young progressive stalwart on the bench. But Breyer’s unique judicial approach makes him an effective emissary to his conservative colleagues, helping the left salvage victory from the brink of defeat in cases big and small. It’s unclear whether his eventual successor will be as effective at building consensus or turning broad questions into narrow ones

Whistleblower: Giant BLM Flag Hung at U.S. Base in Africa

A giant Black Lives Matter (BLM) flag was allowed to be prominently displayed at the barracks of a U.S. naval installation in Africa, according to an allegation made by a military whistleblower to Sen. Tom Cotton (R-AR).

“In the barracks area of the installation, a massive BLM flag had been hung from the third story of the barracks, draping over both the second and first rows under it,” wrote the whistleblower, who had been deployed to a combat zone in Africa. “The flag was probably fifty feet long, by fifteen feet wide. In addition to this, there were many service members that were wearing BLM t-shirts that sported additional BLM slogans, doo rags, and hats, all with BLM plastered on them.

“I am opposed to the BLM movement for many reasons, and seeing a constant reminder of this group daily, was offensive and distracting to me, especially in a combat zone,” the whistleblower continued. “I also feel that it is a very politically driven and polarizing group, that has no business being advertised on a military base.”

Another whistleblower, an Hispanic 0fficer in the Marine Reserves, said he attended a training session on police brutality, white privilege, and systemic racism, and that his unit was encouraged to turn in anyone who believed that “All Lives Matter.”

Yet another whistleblower wrote, “As a member of the US military I have never seen the level of political bias as I now see in the US military.”

Our military leadership at the highest levels is now infected with the poisonous ideology of Critical Race Theory and support for the Marxist revolutionaries of Black Lives Matter. And leaders like SecDef Lloyd Austin are weaponizing that ideology throughout the ranks in order to identify, isolate, and remove political opponents and to mold a military loyal to the Democrat Party.

    This is treason.
