  1. Looking at today, how easily people follow like sheep to the slaughterhouse, one knows they forgot about our recent history and how a people can be fooled.

Back then, the War Recruitment and the feelings of solidarity and urgency were very strong. Nowadays, most people live for themselves and as long as it doesn’t affect them, it’s not their problem.

Both my parents were part of the war effort. My dad was Merchant Marine. My mom was washing and ironing uniforms all day. I met many WWII vets through my mom, incredible and fascinating the stories they have to tell.

    Real heroes, these people.

  2. The only objection i have with this is the title, how is it possible to “stand alone together”,it makes a nonsense of it all.
