Reader’s Links for April 28, 2021

Each day at just after midnight Eastern, a post like this one is created for contributors and readers of this site to upload news links and video links on the issues that concern this site. Most notably, Islam and its effects on Classical Civilization, and various forms of leftism from Soviet era communism, to postmodernism and all the flavours of galloping statism and totalitarianism such as Nazism and Fascism which are increasingly snuffing out the classical liberalism which created our near, miraculous civilization the West has been building since the time of Socrates.

This document was written around the time this site was created, for those who wish to understand what this site is about. And while our understanding of the world and events has grown since then, the basic ideas remain sound and true to the purpose.

So please post all links, thoughts and ideas that you feel will benefit the readers of this site to the comments under this post each day. And thank you all for your contributions.

This is the new Samizdat. We must use it while we can.

Independent MP Ümit Özda? has threatened Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP) deputy Garo Paylan over his remarks about the Armenian Genocide.

On April 24 Genocide Remembrance Day, Paylan complained that there are still streets and schools that are named after Talat Pasha, who was the Ottoman Empire’s minister of interior during the genocide.

“After 106 years, we walk on streets named after Talat Pasha, the architect of the Genocide. We educate our children at schools named after Talat Pasha,” he wrote on Twitter. He likened the situation to naming schools and streets after Hitler in Germany.

Quoting his tweet, Özda? wrote, “Impudent provocateur man. If you are not content, go to hell. Talat Pasha didn’t expel patriotic Armenians but those who stabbed us in the back like you. When the time comes, you’ll also have a Talat Pasha experience and you should have it.”

  6. Articles: Professor Calls for Death Penalty for Climate Change ‘Deniers’
    By Timothy Birdnow
    10-13 minutes

It is as inevitable as the rising of the sun; the Left, when thwarted in their quest for power, suggests the use of lethal force to compel those who disagree.

There is a nauseating litany of murders done by our betters in their pursuit of the Benthamite vision of “the greatest good for the most people” — which in their minds equates to collectivization and socialism. You have Lenin, Stalin, Hitler, Margaret Sanger, Mao Tse Tung, Pol Pot. Now we can add one more name to the list: Professor Richard Parncutt, Musicologist at Graz University in Austria.

Parncutt has issued — and later retracted after it the public outcry — a manifesto calling for the execution of prominent “Climate Change Deniers”. What is interesting is that Parncutt hates the death penalty and supports Amnesty International’s efforts to end it./stribg>

Former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani’s son responded Wednesday after his father’s home was searched by federal investigators earlier in the day, saying that Americans should be “extremely disturbed” by the development.

Andrew Giuliani, a conservative commentator for Newsmax, told reporters in New York City that “any American, whether you are red or blue, should be extremely disturbed by what happened here today by the continued politicization of the Justice Department.”

  9. Cuomo Killed Thousands of Seniors and Lost a House Seat – Frontpagemag
    Daniel Greenfield
    7-9 minutes

If Cuomo had been less of a sociopath, New York would have kept its seat.

Daniel Greenfield, a Shillman Journalism Fellow at the Freedom Center, is an investigative journalist and writer focusing on the radical Left and Islamic terrorism.

Governor Andrew Cuomo is many things: a mass murderer, a sexual predator, and a sore loser.

Cuomo spent $70 million census outreach, but his horrifying policy of forcing nursing homes to accept patients infected with the coronavirus had killed untold thousands of New York seniors.

Now the census is done and New York is going to lose a House seat by 89 people.

“We’re looking at legal options, because when you’re talking about 89, that could be a minor mistake in counting,” Cuomo whined.

The ‘9’ is fitting because that’s the number of women who accused him of sexual harassment.

Maybe it’s a minor mistake like the time Cuomo’s aides rewrote a report to hide the real death toll in nursing homes as he was prepping his book on his brilliant leadership during the pandemic. A report by New York’s Attorney General Letita James estimated that the undercounting might have been as high as 50%. But minor mistakes do happen.

“We were in a position where we weren’t sure if what we were going to give to the Department of Justice, or what we give to you guys, what we start saying, was going to be used against us while we weren’t sure if there was going to be an investigation,” a Cuomo aide had argued.

In America in 2021, mob justice rules.

Stop lying. Stop insulting our intelligence. I may have been born yesterday, but I wasn’t born in the past 15 minutes. I’m an adult. I know when I’m being conned. Here’s what really happened at the Derek Chauvin trial: A guilty man was railroaded.

I’m no fan of that former police officer. He’s clearly a bad guy, a bully. When he had his knee on George Floyd’s neck, he passed the line no cop should ever pass.

On the other hand, George Floyd was no hero. He was a lifelong criminal. When he died, he had just committed a crime and resisted arrest, and his body was filled with fentanyl. I have no sympathy for criminals, or drug addicts. And I always support cops. I appreciate the courage it takes to do their job. I think cops are heroes. So, it pains me to say that Derek Chauvin went too far that day.
