1. State of fear: how ministers ‘used covert tactics’ to keep scared public at home

[…]

Gary Sidley, a retired NHS consultant clinical psychologist, said: “It’s as if there is a little industry around pandemic management and it excludes alternative voices.

“There is growing concern within my field about using fear and shame as a driver of behaviour change.”

Mr Sidley was so concerned that he and 46 colleagues wrote to the British Psychological Society (BPS) raising “concerns about the activities of government-employed psychologists … in their mission to gain the public’s mass compliance with the ongoing coronavirus restrictions”.

The letter added: “Our view is that the use of covert psychological strategies – that operate below the level of people’s awareness – to ‘nudge’ citizens to conform to a contentious and unprecedented public health policy raises profound ethical questions.” […]

Laura Dodsworth, who has spent the past year researching this subject for a forthcoming book called A State of Fear: How the UK Government Weaponised Fear During the Covid-19 Pandemic, said: “I have interviewed people who have been undone by fear, people who have had to be talked down from suicide and people who have developed agoraphobia.

“The problem with fear is that it clouds rational thinking. You become more reliant on government messaging, which makes you more frightened, which makes you even more reliant on their messaging, creating a doom loop. We have forgotten how to analyse risk.”

Another “doom loop” may also be at play: the Government puts huge effort into tracking public sentiment to help inform policy, but critics say that creates an inevitable circle in which the public, put in fear by government messaging, favours a cautious approach to lifting lockdown, which the Government then uses to justify keeping the country in lockdown for longer, and so on.

(These are excerpts. The entire article is important and a worthy read.)

2. Government narrative of inversions. Use of vaccine passports will allow the UK to get back to normal. An inverse of, The government has taken away all your most basic rights. And unless you do what they tell you, you can’t have any of them back. But if you do everything you are told, you might get some of them back.

30 minute presser from Boris Johnson where he explains about how you will be tracked based on Covid testing results. Passports to be ‘trialed’ for public events.

3. The US is more fascist than communist, in that the merger of large corporations to enforce collectivist government policy is actually what fascism means, and will use pressure on private companies to get a vaccine passport app that might let you have some of your freedoms back.

4. Ezra Levant used to refer to the way things seemed to actually go in most minor adjudications as, “politically Correct Poker”. In fact what he saw then was a nascent leading edge of an entire replacement of a legal system based on merit and individualism, being swapped out with the more or less arbitrary collectivist-victim scam. There is little to no truth in any of the reasons for the group placement on this hierarchy, and it is subject to change without notice. That, after all, was what Winston Smith’s job was in 1984. To make sure whatever the Party said was true on a given day, was not just seen to be true, but all previous truths must be erased, making today’s truth, the eternal truth.

And now for today’s example. Black skin beats Islamic migrant

Two teen girls accused of car-jacking and killing an Uber Eats driver in D.C. ‘reach plea deal with prosecutor ensuring they will not be held past the age of 21 nor be placed in a prison facility’

Two girls, ages 13 and 15, who were charged with the murder and carjacking of a Pakistani immigrant killed last month while working at his job delivering food in Washington, DC, have reportedly reached a plea deal with prosecutors.

Mohammad Anwar, 66, died when police said the girls, armed with a taser, sped off in his car as he clung to the driver’s side with the door open and crashed seconds later just outside the ballpark of the Washington Nationals.

On Monday, the teens reportedly reached the plea deal with prosecutors that would ensure they will not be held past the age of 21 nor be placed in a prison facility. […]

Police have not identified the juvenile suspects, one of whom is from the DC and the other is from neighboring Fort Washington, Maryland.

Anwar, who lived in suburban Springfield, Virginia, was at his delivery job for Uber Eats when he was killed.

The 90-second clip begins with Anwar struggling to regain control of his car after the two girls made their way inside.

‘They’re thieves,’ he is heard saying as he attempts to pull the girl out of the driver seat of the parked car. ‘This is my car!’

5. Naomi Wolf: “The Vaccine Passport is indeed the hill worth dying on”.

Thank you M., Kalloi, Richard, Yucki, Kevin, PC., Sassy, EB., ET., Peter, and everyone who has participated in our mutual understanding, clarity, and resistance where warranted.

This is really not very far away.

  1. That last video: We all know they’re already working on a subcutaneous chip that will carry your medical history.

THIS: – Can these gadgets REALLY turn you into a sleeping beauty? They claim to track how long you snooze – and how well. –

Sleep for sale! is the flashing image I see in my mind’s eye when I look at the growing range of sleep trackers on the market.

These devices, from wristbands to under-bed analysers and bedside monitors, promise to tell you what’s happening while you sleep, offering ‘insights’ that, if you believe the sales pitches, amount to setting up a sleep lab in your bedroom.

The latest is Google’s Nest 2 Hub (see below), released last week, which ‘senses’ your sleep in addition to its primary function as a smart speaker and home assistant (similar to Amazon’s Alexa, controlling things such as your heating and lights).

  2. Plea deals used to be for criminals who had something to offer the system, like information, or speed of sentencing in fuzzy guilt situations. These girls have nothing. Their guilt is incontrovertible. Why a plea deal?

    • To admit. Especially who was driving.
The trial is reduced in scope, time and cost.
      The courts are pleading.

  3. https://www.foxnews.com/politics/bidens-poll-numbers-on-border-crisis-and-immigration-underwater-by-double-digits

If Joe Biden can still pull this kind of approval ratings after being seen to be corrupt, senile, and doing a disgraceful job of running the country then it proves that with the support of the mainstream media and Hollywood and all the other leftist institutions there is no way to unseat a dictatorship no matter how bad it is. How could anybody think that Joe Biden is anything but a colossal failure? Well, just watch CNN for a while and it all becomes crystal clear… This is disheartening. What’s it going to take to wake people up? We already have all the evidence and it just doesn’t seem to matter…

  5. A people that are constantly afraid of Death, have already given up on Life.
Why fear something that you cannot escape from in the long run seems futile to say the least.
    But that’s my humble opinion.
