Reader’s Links for March 25, 2021

Each day at just after midnight Eastern, a post like this one is created for contributors and readers of this site to upload news links and video links on the issues that concern this site. Most notably, Islam and its effects on Classical Civilization, and various forms of leftism from Soviet era communism, to postmodernism and all the flavours of galloping statism and totalitarianism such as Nazism and Fascism which are increasingly snuffing out the classical liberalism which created our near, miraculous civilization the West has been building since the time of Socrates.

This document was written around the time this site was created, for those who wish to understand what this site is about. And while our understanding of the world and events has grown since then, the basic ideas remain sound and true to the purpose.

So please post all links, thoughts and ideas that you feel will benefit the readers of this site to the comments under this post each day. And thank you all for your contributions.

This is the new Samizdat. We must use it while we can.

  1. paul j watson – Scientist Says Plastic Pollution is Shrinking Penises, Will Make Most Men Infertile by 2045

    Humanity facing an “existential crisis.”

n environmental scientist has warned that plastic pollution is shrinking penises and making men infertile, meaning most of them won’t be able to produce sperm by 2045.

In a new book called Count Down, Dr Shanna Swan writes that humanity is facing an “existential crisis” due to phthalates, a chemical used in the plastic manufacturing process which disrupts the endocrine system.

A growing number of babies are being born with small penises as a result of phthalate syndrome, something that has been observed in rats when they are exposed to the chemical in tests.

Human babies are being exposed to the chemical in the womb, causing a shorter anogenital distance which correlates to penis size.

“Phathalates mimic the hormone oestrogen and thus disrupt the natural production of hormones in the human body, which researchers have linked to interference in sexual development in infants and behaviours in adults,” reports Sky News.

The chemical, which is used to make plastics more flexible, is being transmitted to humans via toys, food and other items.

Swan cautions that “our modern world is threatening sperm counts, altering male and female reproductive development, and imperilling the future of the human race.”

Throughout her book she cites peer-reviewed studies warning about collapsing male fertility rates, including a 2017 study which found that male sperm counts in western countries had dropped by 50 per cent over the past 40 years.

While birth rates continue to plummet as a result of declining fertility, young men are also being told to remain single while women in the west are socially engineered to believe having children and devoting themselves to motherhood isn’t fulfilling.

From 2007 to 2011 the fertility rate in the U.S. declined 9% in the space of just 4 years.

In 2016, the U.S. fertility rate fell to 59.8 births per 1,000 women, the lowest since records began.

Last year, researchers at the University of Washington’s Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation warned that the planet is not prepared for an ongoing global population crash, and that the impact will be “jaw dropping.”

CNN also published an article acknowledging that if sperm was an animal it might be “heading toward extinction in western nations.”

As we previously highlighted, face masks are also now an extra burden of plastic pollution.

Around 1.5 billion face masks will be dumped into the sea and further contaminate the oceans with harmful plastic and damage vulnerable marine ecosystems.

  2. Lawmakers Investigate State Department Over $1 Billion Ransom Payment to Iran

Republican foreign policy leaders in Congress are pressing Secretary of State Antony Blinken to fully disclose the contents of secret talks with South Korea that are believed to have paved the way for that country to hand Iran $1 billion as part of a ransom payment.

Reps. Bryan Steil (R., Wis.), Jim Banks (R., Ind.), and Greg Steube (R., Fla.) say the State Department is withholding from Congress key details about the Biden administration’s reported efforts to help South Korea skirt economic sanctions and pay Iran the billion-dollar ransom, which came after Tehran seized a South Korean tanker and its crew in January. Blinken dodged several questions on the matter when testifying earlier this month before the House Foreign Affairs Committee, prompting the lawmakers to launch a formal probe seeking answers.…

[T]he lawmakers demand the State Department answer questions about whether it waived sanctions to enable the payment and took part in negotiations aimed at securing the cash for Iran. The lawmakers suspect the administration helped free the money—frozen abroad as a result of U.S. sanctions—as part of its efforts to coax Iran into negotiating a revamped nuclear deal.

The probe signals mounting GOP frustration with the Biden State Department as it makes a series of concessions to Iran aimed at enticing it back to the bargaining table. The administration has already waived United Nations sanctions on Iran and removed a key terror designation on the Tehran-armed Houthi militia groups in Yemen, which continue to attack U.S. allies in the region.

On Oct. 23, 2018, President Joe Biden’s son Hunter and daughter in law Hallie were involved in a bizarre incident in which Hallie took Hunter’s gun and threw it in a trash can behind a grocery store, only to return later to find it gone.

Delaware police began investigating, concerned that the trash can was across from a high school and that the missing gun could be used in a crime, according to law enforcement officials and a copy of the police report obtained by POLITICO.

The Pentagon has received a request from the Department of Health and Human Services for space at military bases to temporarily house migrant children.

The request sought a vacant dorm at Joint Base San Antonio and land at Fort Bliss near El Paso, Texas, to house migrant children amid an influx of migrants arriving at the southern U.S. border, Department of Defense spokesman John Kirby said during a press conference Tuesday.

“We’ll analyze it and evaluate it, just like we would any other request for assistance,” said Kirby, adding that the department had “just received this request” and that he did not know how many children were requested to be housed.

Kirby also noted that HHS representatives conducted a site survey of Joint Base San Antonio last week.

Further surveys are expected for Camp Pendleton in California and Peterson Air Force Base in Colorado.

The request comes as more than 5,000 unaccompanied children are being held in Customs and Border Protection facilities, while in custody for an average of 136 hours, nearly twice the 72-hour limit outlined by U.S. law.

Joe Biden’s politically motivated hypocrisy on immigration.

Nearly half a century before igniting the current border crisis, Joe Biden tried to keep another group of immigrants out of the United States.

As Delaware’s junior Senator in 1975, the future virtual president opposed allocating federal money to help refugees from Vietnam and Cambodia establish new lives after their homelands fell to Communist insurgents.

Biden was not alone. Other Democrats opposed such mass resettlement. Among them was California Gov. Jerry Brown, who even tried to forbid aircraft filled with refugees from landing at Travis Air Force Base near San Francisco.

  7. MARCH 25 BERLIN – Germany: Antifa activists rally against Berlin bar eviction

Left-wing protesters including Antifa activists marched through Berlin streets on Thursday morning to protest the eviction of the ‘Meuterei’ (Mutiny) bar, as the pub collective refused to leave the property since its lease ended in 2019.

massive police operation with as many as 1,100 officers were deployed around the eviction area to watch the protests.

“The official owner has reached us because the bailiff wanted clear the object ‘Meuterei’ (Mutiny) behind us to hand over the keys to the owner. For that sake she asked for our support and we guaranteed that,” spokesperson for Berlin police Anja Dierschke stated while watching the protesters.

Demonstrators held banners with messages such as “Defend the neighbourhood culture mutiny fights,” and “Housing for all,” as they marched chanting slogans.

Berlin saw heated protests last year, as the housing project ‘Liebig 34’ and ‘Syndikat’ bar were evicted, with hundreds of demonstrators clashing with riot police.

SOT, Anja Dierschke, Spokesperson for Berlin police (German): “Our assistance was requested by a bailiff who wanted to clear today the object ‘Meuterei’ (Mutiny) behind us to hand over the keys to the owner. For that sake she asked for our support and we guaranteed that. Several gatherings in the area are held against ‘Meuterei’ eviction, against gentrification and similar political issues. This gathering was also watched by the Berlin police.”

  9. The Elder:
    Passover and the American Story
    […]
The American story is the story of the Israelites. A people fleeing persecution, going through the wilderness and journeying across a body of water, to build a new nation of a type never built before, based on a covenant and ideals, utterly unlike every other nation that existed in their respective eras.

Even the thirteen colonies uniting to become one nation, but maintaining their own distinct laws and customs, echo the twelve tribes of Israel.

The American idea was described by Governor John Winthrop in 1630, as he was en route to Massachusetts, with purely Hebrew Scripture quotes and sensibilities…

The story of America is the story of the Exodus. It is the story of Passover, taught to children generation after generation. It is the story of a people with a mission to spread universal ideas of freedom, liberty, justice and equality around the world.

This is one major reason why America has always been good to its Jews, and why the United States is always going to be a friend of Israel’s.

It also explains another interesting phenomenon.

Antisemites, on both the right and the left, hate America as much as they hate Jews. American exceptionalism and the American dream are abhorrent to them, just as the idea of the Chosen People and a successful Israel enrages them.

Antisemites want to destroy America, because they see in America the things they hate about Jews.

The far-Right antisemites claim to be patriotic, but they want to tear apart the nation….

The far-Left antisemites use old Soviet socialist tropes and methods to sow discord among Americans.… saying … artificial divisions are not reparable, when the American dream is precisely the opposite – that anyone can succeed no matter what their social standing and these divisions are abhorrent.…

Those who want to fight antisemitism must also fight for America, because if America turns into the type of nation that the far-Left or far-Right want it to be, it will not be a welcome place for Jews.

The American story is the Jewish story. Our fates are intertwined. In this age of custom Haggadot where any political or social position overtakes Passover’s message of freedom, American Jews could add a prayer of thanks for living in a great nation that shares so many ideals with the Jewish people.
