Reader’s Links for March 20, 2021

Each day at just after midnight Eastern, a post like this one is created for contributors and readers of this site to upload news links and video links on the issues that concern this site. Most notably, Islam and its effects on Classical Civilization, and various forms of leftism from Soviet era communism, to postmodernism and all the flavours of galloping statism and totalitarianism such as Nazism and Fascism which are increasingly snuffing out the classical liberalism which created our near, miraculous civilization the West has been building since the time of Socrates.

This document was written around the time this site was created, for those who wish to understand what this site is about. And while our understanding of the world and events has grown since then, the basic ideas remain sound and true to the purpose.

So please post all links, thoughts and ideas that you feel will benefit the readers of this site to the comments under this post each day. And thank you all for your contributions.

This is the new Samizdat. We must use it while we can.

    • Don’t forget that the Volker Fed was helped by Jimmy Carter refusing to let the US oil industry drill and pump to force oil prices lower. Biden’s (Obama’s) current actions on oil drilling and energy independence are the same actions that lead to the double digit inflation and interest rates.

    • I also recommend getting a faraday bag. A cell phone or any other device is worse than an electronic police tag.
Government/Corporate surveillance and manipulation is worse than you imagine.

    • As I understand it, you are better off to have your phone on and active somewhere you are not from time to time. Take a walk or go shopping and pay cash and leave your phone on and at home. The meta data they get from your phone in a faraday cage is enough to flag you. For example, your phone is always on but mysteriously cannot be found on the network for the whole day January 6th for some reason right after you booked a flight to DC.
      Thats all they need.
But if your phone was on and you left it at home…

It isn’t a crime yet to not always have your phone with you. So don’t.

      • I like your idea better.

Also remember never talk about anything important in from of your phone or a smart TV, both are easy for the Feds or other police to remotely activate and listen to the conversations.

        • I agree 100%. And leave it open at home and pay cash.
When I go out, I always leave my computers on with an open website. Often, music chains on YouTube.

    • Remembering what Willie Shakespeare said:

      …………….I fear him not;
Yet if my name were liable to fear,
I do not know the man I should avoid
      So soon as that spare Cassius. He reads much;
He is a great observer and he looks
      Quite through the deeds of men; he hears no music;
Seldom he smiles, and smiles in such a sort
As if he mock’d himself and scorn’d his spirit
That could be moved to smile at any thing.
Such men as he be never at heart’s ease
Whiles they behold a greater than themselves,
      And therefore are very dangerous.

    • Pay close attention to the video above, while this isn’t a war alert it is real close to one.

When thinking about what Brad said remember that

      1) it takes money to expand those runways

      2) China is in an economic downturn that is bad enough that the CDP are admitting that there is a problem.

      3) Most of the Chinese People are superstitious and last summer there were a lot of the legendary signs saying a regime change is coming to China. If China can take Taiwan this may satisfy the believers.

      4) China backed off from India in the Ladakh region, pulling out troops and destroying their bases.

      5) The current US Admiral in charge in that region is a China Hawk what will happen if/when he is ordered to pull back.

      6) Even if/when the US refuses to live up to our treaty obligations in that region if enough of the small nations band together they can give China a real good run for their money. Some of these nations have decent to good military organizations so quality against China’s quantity.

      7) One thing we have to keep in mind is the military small arms and ammo that China is smuggling into the US to give to Antifa. There is a real good chance that if/when China hits Taiwan Antifa and the other left wing militias will start guerilla and terror attacks inside the US.

      8) Iran and North Korea/China bounced the worlds attention between those locations while Obama was in Office. If/when China moves on Taiwan (or another location) what will Iran and Turkey do? If I was them I would wait until China has the worlds attention and move on Saudi, Israel or a different target.

      9) What is Putin going to do, will he set back and eat popcorn while watching the fight or will he decide to help one side?

  2. Germany KASSEL – : Scuffles break out as COVID-sceptics and counter-protesters take to Kassel streets

Scuffles broke out on the streets of Kassel as a COVID-sceptics march was countered by groups of Antifa on Saturday.

Police were seen pushing back on COVID-sceptics as tensions arose. At least one fight briefly broke out between the two the anti-lockdown protesters and a member of the Antifa.

The protest took place just days before Chancellor Angela Merkel is set to meet state leaders to discuss an extension of the lockdown restrictions initially imposed in December amidst fears Germany may be heading towards a ‘third wave’ of COVID-19 amidst mounting infection rates.

  6. (Richard: Note how WION is starting to push the idea of the US being India’s best friend. They are wanting to make the American Public support India in the coming conflict. Given Biden’s comments (racist comments) about India and Indians they are trying to get the American Voter to support India. We should support them but with Biden in the Oval Office and Obama pulling his strings we don’t know which side they will support)

    • Yeah, well… Wion doesn’t have much of an American audience. Like the other major target of the MB, Israel, they’re hoping for the best.

The MB has a lock on our institutions. The filthy Turk is the Paki’s best friend. (See, for example, The Turkey-Pakistan entente: Muslim middle powers align in Eurasia

Our Deep State is OWNED by the Turk-Pak-China entente. Qatar is the majority funder of the most prestigious think tanks and other influence-peddlers. That includes prominent Jew-ish American institutions and individuals. 0’s pet jews.

Swamp media will do India like they do Israel.
Look at the slanted reporting of the war in Yemen. And how the Congress chastises Saudi for defending itself, repeats Iranian-proxy talking points.

Who’s reporting the filthy Turk’s war crimes and aggression? Orders of magnitude greater than Putin’s grab of Ukraine. Compare the attempted assassination of Navalny vs. the outright murder of most mayors in Turkey who support political opposition parties.

India knows all this. Make nice noises, temper the blow.

  9. UK ‘carries extraordinary risk’ of entering US war with China over Taiwan, expert says.

    • Low-performance minorities tend to hate Asians because their very existence belies all their excuses for being low-performance. Asians, despite being subject to all kinds of racism over the years, still tend to stay in school and work hard, not spend all their money on booze and drugs, and end up doing pretty well overall.

So, for every time you say, “Ain’t no point in tryin’ in a White Mans’s world”, the Korean guy who started from nothing drives by in his Mercedes and heads for his ocean-front pad in Southampton, and that just plain makes you look bad… Then he votes Republican and you go ballistic…

It’s big mean dumb gentlemen of color who are causing this rise in anti-Asian crime, no matter how hard the media is trying to cover that up and make it Donald Trump’s fault. And they’re doing it out of jealousy not because of something Donald said…

  11. TRT – France’s Muslims outraged by decision to ban halal chicken slaughter

Under the new rule, the Islamic slaughter of poultry animals will be banned in France from July 2021.

Muslim leaders in France have criticised a recent decision to ban the slaughter of poultry animals in line with Islamic principles ahead of the holy month of Ramadan.

A joint statement issued by Paris Mosque director Chemseddine Hafez, Lyon Mosque director Kamel Kaptane and Evry Mosque director Khalil Maroun, says that the French Agriculture and Food Ministry’s circular sends a negative message to the large Muslim community in the country.

Under the new rule, the Islamic slaughter of poultry animals will be banned in France from July 2021.

The three administrators conveyed their concerns to the relevant ministry but did not receive any concrete results, the joint statement said.

“These precautions are a serious obstacle preventing people from freely practising their religion,” the statement read, adding that they are planning to take necessary legal action to restore the “fundamental right.”

The Muslim leaders have also discussed the matter with leaders of the Jewish community in France.

France and other European countries, like Belgium, have taken similar steps against halal meat, while local authorities forced a halal supermarket in a Paris suburb to sell alcohol and pork products.

Some animal rights activists in Europe argue that the Islamic halal and Jewish kosher rules for ritual slaughter are “less humane” than standard European practice because they ban the practice of stunning animals before they are killed.

However, there are disagreements over which form of slaughter causes the animal more pain, with some arguing that a stun gun can be more painful than an expertly applied cut to the animal’s neck.

Muslims holy book Quran teaches gentle treatment of animals.

Like kosher slaughter, the halal rite requires the butcher to kill the animal by swiftly slitting its throat.

Stunning it first to lessen its pain, as recommended in a European Union directive, is not allowed in Muslim practice.

  13. Opinion: US Falls Into 4 Traps Set by the CCP in US-China Talks

    Commentary

Anchorage, the largest city in Alaska, recorded a temperature as low as -18 degrees Celsius (nearly zero degrees Fahrenheit) in the early morning. A two-day high-level talk between the United States and China has just ended in this frigid place. The high pitch of the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) “wolf warriors” howl and the weak U.S. response, in contrast, are really worrying.

In short, the U.S. side fell into four traps set ingeniously by the CCP during the talks.

First, the holding of high-level talks between the United States and China is itself a CCP trap.

After Biden’s inauguration on Jan. 20, Anthony Blinken, the U.S. secretary of state spoke with Yang Jiechi, member of the CCP’s Politburo, and President Joe Biden spoke with CCP leader Xi Jinping. Judging from their public statements, each side took a different tone. In fact, as far as the current state of U.S.-China relations is concerned, it is the CCP that has begged the United States to stop the decoupling and sanction. Without substantial proposals (or concessions) from the communist regime, there would be no need for the United States to hold the meeting at all. Before the U.S. administration had any clear policy toward the CCP, it actually “invited” the CCP to come to the talks, falling into the “dialogue trap” set up by the CCP.

  14. 24 More Charged in Voter-Fraud Probe, Prosecutors Say
    By Zachary Stieber

    biggersmaller Print

Federal prosecutors in North Carolina said Friday that 24 additional people have been charged in an ongoing probe into voter fraud, including two who are accused of illegally voting in the 2016 presidential election.

Gabriela Guzman-Miguel, 26, and Jose Abraham Navarro, 42, both of Mexico, are accused to have voted despite lacking the legal status to do so, the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of North Carolina said in a list of defendants obtained by The Epoch Times. The list described both as aliens or immigrants.

A slew of other defendants were charged with falsely claiming U.S. citizenship in order to register to vote. Some also engaged in naturalization fraud and misuse of visas, permits, and other documents relating to voter registration, officials said.

Defendants hailed from 15 countries, including Honduras, Iraq, and Canada. The charges date back to the fall of 2019, though the cases were just unsealed.

Those charged face jail time and fines of up to $350,000 if convicted.

  15. SCOTTISH REFORMATION SOCIETY: PANDEMICS & THE CHURCH
    video – 51 mins 53 secs
We should acknowledge the strange situation we find ourselves as a nation and as churches. From a Scottish perspective two precious principles cherished by our forefathers, have been seriously undermined by government policy. Whether these can ever be redeemed is a moot point at this stage. These two principles are: (1) The Establishment Principle, and (2) The principal of democratic politics. More and more we are now living in a socialist state, especially here in Scotland. Where our First Minister has become like many of the political leaders that emerged in numerous African states, following their independence in post-war years – especially from the late 1950s onwards. In their haste to abandon all their colonial rags, these leaders adopted a socialist approach; many of them borrowing unashamedly from Communist regimes in China, Russia and Cuba. And those emerging leaders, some of which began, it has to be said, with the best intentions, in reality turned into dictators and demagogues – as bad, if not worse, in some cases at least, as their Communist heroes and role-models. Now, this once bastion of democracy, the entire UK finds itself living under rules and regulations which were hatched where? In Communist China! The designer of our present lockdowns – a Professor Neil Ferguson has openly admitted in an interview with the Times of London, that he borrowed the lockdown idea from the Chinese and passed it on to our leaders without a murmur of opposition. To say the least, my friends, that is a disturbing revelation. We should recognize the important distinction between what the Church can voluntarily do and what is being imposed upon the Church by political legislation. The start point in all relationships between church/state relations, as far as Christians are concerned, is the supreme headship of Jesus Christ over His own Kingdom. Rev Iain Smith
