Bomb destroys Dutch test centre, new US admin goes opaque: Links 1, March 3, 2021

1. Cases soar as Covid test centre hit by pipe bomb in The Netherlands

(Do you think the journalists smirked when they came up with the original headline?)

A BOMB explosion rocked a coronavirus testing centre in the Netherlands early today – weeks after anti-lockdown riots left the country reeling.

Police said a homemade device was deliberately placed in what appeared to be a “targeted attack” just before 7am local time.

The blast smashed windows at the regional health board testing centre in Bovenkarspel, in Noord Holland, shortly before it was due to open.

Only one security guard was on duty inside, and there were no reported injuries.

Broadcaster NOS said a metal pipe exploded outside the building.

Police spokesman Menno Hartenberg said they found the remains of a metal cylinder device about four inches in size, and it “must have been placed” there.

He said: “We don’t know yet exactly what exploded. The explosives experts must first investigate.

2. U.N. Chief Guterres Orders Cancellation of All Global Coal Projects

(I guess the UN is ready to reveal themselves as the global politburo and Guterres as General Secretary of the United States of Earth, rather than as the lowly Secretary General of the United Nations, which everyone thinks he is)

Future global coal projects must be immediately cancelled to end the “deadly addiction” to fossil fuels by the close of the decade, the U.N. Secretary-General António Guterres said on Tuesday.

Phasing out coal from the electricity sector is the single most important step to tackle the climate crisis, he said. Guterres’s call came at the opening of a virtual summit of the Powering Past Coal Alliance (PPCA), a group of governments and businesses committed to ending coal burning for power. He said:

Today, I am calling on all governments, private companies and local authorities to take three steps.

First, cancel all global coal projects in the pipeline and end the deadly addiction to coal. Second, end the international financing of coal plants and … third, jump-start a global effort to finally organise a just transition [for coal industry workers], going plant by plant if necessary.”

The veteran Portuguese Socialist called the world’s reliance on coal a “deadly addiction” and appealed for ending international financing for coal and providing greater support to developing countries transitioning to renewable energy.

3. Nine protestors shot dead in Burma

(I wonder if this is why occasionally I see new regulations prohibiting the public from getting bullet resistant clothing. Gotta make sure those protestors can get killed)

4. Taiwan ramps up missile tests to coincide with Chinese military exercises that seem suspiciously to be dress rehearsals for an attack on Taiwan.

At least we can celebrate the consistency of the Biden admin for using terms across the board in the same way.

We know how they use the term, “Racism” along with dozens of other words. So its refreshing to see them be consistent with their transparency.

Dying In Darkness: Biden STILL Won’t Publish Schedule, Visitor Logs, Nor Hold A Presser… Deletes White House Comments And Petitions Pages.

Six weeks into the Biden regime, Joe’s professed commitment to truth and transparency continues to wane, with the President of the United States failing to hold a press conference, refusing to publish his schedule, hiding visitor logs from the public, and deleting the White House pages for comments and public petitions. Cynics might say that democracy is currently dying in darkness.

In press secretary Jen Psaki’s first press briefing, she told reporters that the Biden presidency heralded a commitment “to bring transparency and truth back to the government; to share the truth, even when it’s hard to hear.”

But with the new guy installed, transparency in the White House has left… something to be desired.

The schedules of the President and Vice President are not currently publicly released. President Joe Biden hasn’t held a news conference of his own (only brief, tightly-controlled press availabilities with supporting acts), and the White House website does not list petitions submitted by citizens. Even the comment line is shut down.

  1. The most likely explanation is that Biden’s dementia has become sufficiently severe that his handlers would not be able to hide it in a press conference with open questions from the floor. This may also be the real explanation why the State of the Union Address was indefinitely postponed.

Several conservative commentators have come straight out and called the Biden Presidency elder abuse in the public forum.

  2. 4 – The CCP is in trouble and needs something to take peoples minds off their internal problems, a foreign military adventure has been used for this purpose many times in history. The big questions is what will Obama order the Biden administration to do if/when they do invade. If the US Navy moves to protect Taiwan the Mainland looses, if they don’t Japan, Australia and India will have to move fast to get forces in position to push the Mainland out of any gains they have made. I don’t know how good the Taiwanese military is, I have heard credible reports that range from good to bad. Can they hold out long enough for the Japanese, Australian and Indian Air Forces arrive to help slow the invasion long enough for the Naval Forces to arrive and stop the invasion.

Not too long ago I posted an interview with a retired Australian General, he said the invasion would fail and the Chinese Generals probably know this but does the CCP know this? He also said that Australia has problems getting Senior Officers to speak truth to power, and if they do how much more difficult is it for the CCP to get senior officers to tell them they aren’t strong enough to take Taiwan?

I would like to know where the forces pulled off the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in the mountains were sent, the explanation that this was done because the troops were getting sick doesn’t ring true to me.

If I were the CCP getting ready to Invade Taiwan I would arrange for my Client State Pakistan to start raising hell on the Line of Control (LOC) shortly before I started moving unites into position for the invasion. This would force India to split their Air Force and probably force them to move Naval Units to a position where they could be used against any Naval Units Pakistan moves to use against India. If China does invade Taiwan India could be fighting a two or three front war.

In one of the Brad Johnson video’s I posted today he talked about India buying 250 new Main Battle Tanks from Russia. Last week (or earlier this week) there was a video from one of the Indian news sources I use about India building their own tanks and how it wouldn’t be long before the Indian Army would be using Indian built tanks. If they are building their own tanks why are they buying more tanks from Russia? As Brad Johnson and the retired military intel operative said you don’t buy tanks to use in a static defense, you buy then to use in a mobile attack scenario. This is something to add to the data points that say China is going to war in the near future and that India is going to be fighting them.

Another data point is that Japan is putting light to semi light weapons on their Coast Guard vessels, I have been thinking this was in response to the Chinese law giving the Chinese Coast Guard permission to fire on ships in the disputed waters. This is still the most probable reason but……

    • The whole world’s watching.

If we don’t stand up for Taiwan, we’ll lose our allies everywhere. It’s already dicey: our BFF in the Persian Gulf being set up for Arab Spring Redux; Merkel’s taking a dive, pulling the strongest horse in the EU away from our sphere of influence; etc.

Drive a stake through the heart of the free world: no more hegemon. Nobody will remember The Yanks are Coming; it’ll all be Damned Yankees!

They’ll fall on us like ravening hyenas. Their comrades here are waiting with bated breath.
