Reader’s Links for February 13, 2021

Each day at just after midnight Eastern, a post like this one is created for contributors and readers of this site to upload news links and video links on the issues that concern this site. Most notably, Islam and its effects on Classical Civilization, and various forms of leftism from Soviet era communism, to postmodernism and all the flavours of galloping statism and totalitarianism such as Nazism and Fascism which are increasingly snuffing out the classical liberalism which created our near, miraculous civilization the West has been building since the time of Socrates.

This document was written around the time this site was created, for those who wish to understand what this site is about. And while our understanding of the world and events has grown since then, the basic ideas remain sound and true to the purpose.

So please post all links, thoughts and ideas that you feel will benefit the readers of this site to the comments under this post each day. And thank you all for your contributions.

This is the new Samizdat. We must use it while we can.

    • WoW!
      Jew in the City!

Secular “Jews” hold overwhelmingly negative stereotypes of Orhodox Jews. They reject any identity with us, feel we threaten their intersectional prog status.

They distance themselves from the waves of violence we’re experiencing as “visible” members of the tribe. They’re often our worst enemies.

This group’s approach is good; it needs a higher profile. Joe Lieberman and Jared Kushner, both secular and observant success stories, examples of Modern Orthodox Americans.

More about the blatant intentions of the globalists.

Lawyer Robert F. Kennedy Jr., son of Robert F. Kennedy and the nephew of former U.S. president John F. Kennedy, has been banned from Facebook owned Instagram just days after he penned a comprehensive account of Bill Gates’ attempt to monopolise and dominate global food production and public health programs.

    • BTW has anyone the faintest idea of how many ex SAS/Seals etc. and all such veterans now actually work as contractors in the WEST as bodyguards for the elite?
You can guarantee that the swine responsible have their backs covered by, as usual, using our own best against us.

Do 50% of Covid patients in our hospitals come from the Arab world?
    David Berger –
    February 12, 2021 0
(David Berger) Our tweet of the day comes from the politician Erika Steinbach. She tweeted: “I have heard credible from various sources that 50% of Covid patients in hospitals come from the Arab region. So far this has not been an issue for the media. It would be an exciting job for our hard-working network journalists. But they won’t do it. ”
A commentator adds: Anders Tegnell in Sweden also points out the excessive spread or deaths of the virus by migrants.
“Viennese hospital doctor: 60 percent of our intensive care patients have a migration background”
Of course, there was the usual excitement that immediately shouted “Racism!” And immediately questioned the statement. It goes without saying that we can’t find anything about this on FAZ, ARD or “Spiegel”. The foreign press seems bolder. In November last year, for example, the headline “Die Presse” with regard to the new Covid infections: “Vienna hospital doctor: 60 percent of our intensive care patients have a migration background”.
The reason given for this is the lack of integration, which often leads to a failure to adhere to applicable rules. An experience that many of the people who use public transport in Germany have. We receive reports almost every day that entire groups of young people with a migration background but without face masks were found in the subway. Security services and police tended to look the other way here to avoid escalation.
A similarly sinister situation is offered by “oriental-Islamic” weddings and funerals, which – often without the state intervening – become real “corona clusters”.
    Also in Switzerland
Similar statements in the Swiss press. There, the Covid cases are based on 60-65% hospitalized with a migrant background.
The figures mentioned by Steinbach, which on Twitter led to so much excitement and nasty insults from the politician, are obviously very realistic.

Actress Gina Carano is partnering with The Daily Wire to produce and star in an upcoming film exclusively for Daily Wire members. Go for it Gina!

Carano and The Daily Wire announced the new partnership on Friday, two days after the actress was ousted from her role in the Disney Star Wars spinoff show “The Mandalorian.” Disney cut the actress on Wednesday in what critics alleged was a politically-motivated hit.

“The Daily Wire is helping make one of my dreams — to develop and produce my own film — come true. I cried out and my prayer was answered,” Carano said in a statement Friday. “I am sending out a direct message of hope to everyone living in fear of cancellation by the totalitarian mob. I have only just begun using my voice which is now freer than ever before, and I hope it inspires others to do the same. They can’t cancel us if we don’t let them.”

    This should appeal to Richard:

As of 2021 the Swiss Air Force is to provide 24/7 availability of jet interceptors to deal with any emergency, like a commercial, or any other aircraft, entering Swiss airspace without permission. Before that the F-18’s were only available during business hours and it took six years to get Swiss voters to agree to the added expense of round-the-clock F-18 availability. It cost the Swiss spending an additional $34 million a year and the hiring of a hundred additional personnel to achieve this new level of readiness.

    • It is a data point on how bad things are getting in Europe, it looks like the Swiss are worried about a hijacked passenger plane being used as as a weapon, like 9/11.

Note how and when Marxism began to infiltrate the west by observing when Hollywood moved from tight blouses (1940s to early 50s to cleavages(mid 1950s) to blatant nudity(1960s) and you see how it fell into step immediately with the Marxist criminals.

“Police say a suicide bomber died and seven civilians were wounded when a vehicle exploded near a checkpoint outside the presidential palace in Somalia’s capital, Mogadishu.

Police spokesman Sadiq Ali Adan says the driver defied orders to stop on Saturday morning, and police opened fire as passersby ran for their lives. He says more than a dozen vehicles were destroyed in the blast.

This latest bombing occurred as Somali politicians argue over how to hold a national election. The vote had been scheduled for Feb. 8, and some argue that President Mohamed Abdullahi Mohamed has overstayed his mandate. He seeks a second four-year term. More talks on the election crisis are set for Monday.

According to the Herat Province governor, the authorities had to request assistance from Iran due to a lack of firefighting equipment.

There have been no reports of casualties due to the incident, however, the fire inflicted damage which officials are currently assessing.”

    https://www.breitbart.com/europe/2021/02/13/illegal-migrants-receive-vaccines-before-at-risk-native-brits-at-4-star-hotel-in-london/

“Healthy young illegal immigrants have been given preferential treatment in receiving the coronavirus vaccines ahead of elderly and vulnerable native Britons, an investigation has found.

Migrants who came to the United Kingdom illegally and are now being housed at the taxpayers’ expense at the four-star Crowne Plaza Hotel in London have received free coronavirus vaccinations, the Daily Mail reported on Saturday.

One illegal Sudanese migrant, 20-year-old Abdul, who crossed in a boat from the safe and wealthy France seven months ago, told the newspaper: “I was given the vaccination yesterday at the hotel to stop me catching Covid. There are 400 migrants living here and we nearly all had it. No-one I know refused.”

A group of Sudanese and Eritrean migrants said that on Thursday a “mass vaccination” operation was held at the hotel.

A 27-year-old Sudanese national said: “The vaccinations were given to us whatever our age.”

“We didn’t have to pay. We were told to queue up for them at the hotel. None of us want to catch the coronavirus,” he said.

“This was the first vaccination and I don’t know which company made it. We will have another one nearer the summertime,” the migrant added.

The illegal migrants at the hotel are also not being subjected to the strict measures placed on people arriving in the country legitimately from a so-called ‘red list’ of 33 countries, who are required to quarantine themselves in inferior hotels at their own expense with heavy fines for those who break the rules.

The government has also announced that people who lie about their travel history could face up to ten years in prison.

The migrants, meanwhile, are free to roam into nearby West Drayton to shop for food and so on despite the lockdown…”

  11. Prosecutor Demands €5,000 Fine Against Marine Le Pen over Photos Exposing ISIS Crimes (breitbart, Feb 13, 2021)
    https://www.breitbart.com/europe/2021/02/13/prosecutor-demands-e5000-fine-against-le-pen-posting-isis-photos/

“National Rally leader Marine Le Pen and MEP Gilbert Collard were in court this week as prosecutors demand a 5,000 euro fine against the two for exposing Islamic State atrocities by sharing pictures of them on Twitter in 2015.

The two French politicians had posted the photographs after journalist Jean-Jacques Bourdin compared the Front National, as National Rally was formerly known, to the radical Islamic terrorist group.

Both politicians admit to posting the photographs but protested the hate speech charges against them, French newspaper Le Figaro reports, with Le Pen stating: “It is crime, not photographic reproduction of the crime, that undermines human dignity!”

Le Pen compared the images to the photograph of Aylan Kurdi, a child who had drowned during the height of the migrant crisis in 2015 whose picture made front pages of newspapers worldwide, stating: “This photo was published by the entire French media without the prosecutor’s office ever finding a reason to initiate a prosecution of any kind.”

Mr Collard, meanwhile, said that if he were in the presence of a Holocaust denier, he was legally allowed to show them evidence of the genocide through photographs, and added: “If I am facing someone who denies violence against women, can’t I show pictures?”

The prosecutor in the case defended the action against the populist politicians, saying: “There is bound to be a choice to be made, and this choice is made according to the impact on public order that an action may have. In this case, there was a disturbance to public order brought by this case.”

A representative of the public prosecutor demanded a 5,000 euro fine against the politicians, while Ms Le Pen denounced the procedure as a “political trial”. The verdict is scheduled for May 4th.

Le Pen was stripped of her parliamentary immunity in the European Parliament over the tweets in 2017 — prior to coming second in that year’s French presidential election — when she served as an MEP for the former Front National.

The prosecution comes as Le Pen become a major challenger to President Emmanuel Macron. Polls place the populist and the globalist neck-and-neck in both the first round of voting and a potential second-round run-off ahead of the next presidential election.”

What shall the world do about all the plastic recycling companies that have gone out of business because of the expense of recycling? The Increased business costs, falling prices of recycled aluminum and all the PET plastics that are known to leach antimony trioxide and phthalates?

Since China will no longer take the plastics that will take 100, 500 and 900 years to break down, and they cannot go in landfill, what should we do with them?

What should we do with the windmills that are no longer productive?

What should we do with the solar panels that are piling up, at the end of their 25 maximum life cycle? What will the effect of the lead, brominated flames retardants and hexavilent chromium have. They are piling up in Canada and cannot go in the landfills?

Like the vaccines, I guess we can just stick them.

What will we do with all the batteries from the electric cars?

Or maybe someone in the mail-in guys circle, who is cancelling gas, oil and fracking could help answer. OAC where are you?

  19. BELFAST – Councillor Who Criticised Islam To Be Banned From Elections

An Independent Councillor from Belfast, who criticised Islam, could face up to a five-year ban from standing in future elections.

Jolene Bunting is an independent councillor from Belfast. She has been suspended, censored and is to potentially be banned from standing in future elections for up to 5 years.

Jolene has been labelled ‘far right’ and a ‘racist’ and in a few weeks could potentially be banned from standing in future elections for standing up for her deeply Conservative – Christian beliefs.

This shocking string of events starts back in August 2018, when Jolene was suspended from council duties for four months while investigations were carried out into complaints about public statements she made about Islam.

She also received a backlash for her support of leaflets which warned of the dangers of Islam, which Jolene did not have any involvement in the printing or distribution, but defended the right of whoever printed the leaflets during a Belfast City Council meeting in April 2018 stating:

“It’s up to the leaders in this city to address people’s concerns and not just label them as racist or fascist. Fascists are the people who don’t want anyone to speak out about Islam.”

In November of the same year the High Court appeal started which paused the suspension.

In March 2019, the High Court stated that Jolene should serve the rest of her suspension.

The following month her shocking suspension continued. In May 2019, the local elections happened in which Jolene lost her seat. Jolene stated “I believe this was due to the constant negative publicity I received from the local media during my election campaign, along with having all my social media accounts take down 2 weeks into my re-election campaign.”

“These are dark times for democracy”
Jolene has been hounded by the media throughout this ordeal, they have labelled her ‘racist’, ‘far right’ and have continually tried to discredit Jolene’s name.

    Her crime… criticising Islam.

Jolene publicly criticized Islam during an Anti-Terror Rally, held in Belfast, 2017 and since then she has been harassed and hounded by many people including fellow councillors.

Jolene lost her appeal in March 2019 and had to serve the remainder of her suspension which inevitably damaged her chances of having a successful campaign in the upcoming local elections. Jolene believes she lost the elections due to the ‘witch hunt’ against her.

Jolene has not even been questioned by the police yet these unelected officials can potentially ban her from standing in election. This isn’t democracy.

She is the first councillor in the U.K. to be suspended while the outcome of an investigation is pending.

Last week Jolene received a letter from the Local Government Commissioner for Standards inviting her to a hearing review meeting later this month, the commissioner will make their decision on her case in a matter of weeks.

As she is no longer an elected councillor, they can’t suspend, this leaves them two options. Drop the case or ban her from standing in election for office, for 5 years.

Jolene said “I don’t think there is much doubt as to what the outcome of this ‘witch-hunt’ will be… The complaints lodged with the Commissioner against me were made by a cable of Far-Left activists, Socialists and Irish-Republicans.”

This whole situation has had a significant effect on Jolene’s life, she has struggled to find employment since and I asked her why? Her reply was “The first thing an employer sees if they search online for my name is that I was suspended from office and articles implying that I am racist.”

Jolene has had to move house, since receiving death threats and having far left activists expose where her family home is located, by posting pictures online.

None of which is true of course, Jolene has simply expressed her views on Islam. A large number of people have supported Jolene from the beginning of this attack on free speech.

“I feel so lucky to have such great support.”

A handful of Unionist Politician’s have contacted Jolene on a personal level and have said that they support her right to express her views, unfortunately none of them would publicly support Jolene, for fear of being tarred as ‘racists’ themselves.

Local elections will be held again next year and if Jolene doesn’t receive a 5-year ban, she intends to stand again.

She is being targeted because she stood independently and didn’t have a party for support. Jolene said that “Conservative/Christian views are under attack and this is a national shame.”

Regardless of whether you agree with Jolene’s views or not is irrelevant, her right to freedom of speech and expression must be defended. Elected candidates should be able to speak out freely without being hounded and harassed by the establishment and mainstream media.

Jolene Bunting was first elected to Belfast City Council in 2014. She has had a huge amount of success and has an awful lot of support from the local community. Jolene expressed that “Ultimately I must do what is best for my children and that means doing what is right for my country.”

Jolene is on Gab, Telegram, VK & Twitter if you wanted to follow her story.

Here’s how you can also support Jolene’s fight.

The NYPD reported that two officers suffered minor injuries during the protest, which was attended by about 100 marchers; officials could not immediately say how the cops were hurt.

The agitated protester began yelling, “He’s a cop,” inciting many of his fellow marchers.

About a dozen people surrounded the photog, shoving him and beating him with their fists and other objects, sources said.

  23. Biden Energy Policies Heading America Toward a ‘Full-Fledged Recession,’ Oklahoma’s Rep. Mullin Warns

President Joe Biden’s recent energy policy decisions to stop Keystone XL pipeline construction and halt oil and gas industry drilling on federal lands will put America’s economy into “a full-fledged recession,” according to Rep. Markwayne Mullin (R-Okla.).

“Absolutely, there is no doubt with the devastating executive orders that are coming out of the Biden administration and what you are seeing Democrats do in the House and what they are going to try to do in the Senate, it is costing thousands of jobs,” Mullin told The Epoch Times Friday.

“We’ve already realized that the Keystone pipeline itself will, directly and indirectly, affect 10,000 jobs, that’s crazy,” Mullin said. “Then you start seeing the moratorium that they are putting on public land, on off-shore drilling and the leases through the Bureau of Land Management (BLM), the list just goes on and on and on.”

Mullin was referring to a Jan. 20 Executive Order signed by Biden that effectively stopped new oil and gas drilling and leasing on federal lands and in off-shore areas, pending a government-wide review of the impact of all federal policies on climate change, or global warming.

In Vancouver, Dr. Bonnie Henry, British Columbia’s provincial health officer, and B.C. Health Minister Adrian Dix provide an update on the province’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Dr. Henry announces that a third COVID-19 variant has been identified in the province.

One case has been confirmed to involve the B1.525 variant, which is associated with travel to or from Nigeria.

This is Canada’s first case involving that variant.

    • 105-year-old gets vaccine at new Cologne centre

105-year-old Elisabeth Steubesand was the first person on Monday to receive the Pfizer coronavirus vaccine at the newly opened vaccination centre of Cologne.
Steubesand is the oldest citizen of the western German city.

Cologne’s local trade fair was turned into one of the biggest vaccination centres in Germany.

City’s mayor Henriette Reker said the centre could administer up to 5-thousand vaccines a day, but added that the pace will not be that fast due to a shortage of doses.

Monday’s first appointments were given to people over 80 and elderly people who live at home.

The city of Cologne started its vaccination campaign in December when the oldest residents in the city’s care homes received their first dose of vaccine.

German start-up Wingcopter has joined the race to offer COVID-19 vaccine distribution by air, pointing to its experience in remote areas like the South Pacific Ocean nation of Vanuatu.

    • Brazil: Rio”s COVID-19 vaccination schedule threatened by shortages

Rio de Janeiro has been forced to slow the number of COVID-19 vaccinations due to shortages, footage shows workers at Osvaldo Cruz Foundation (FIOCRUZ) producing the vaccine, on Friday.

City Hall announced that vaccines will only be available until Saturday, stating that more deliveries should arrive next week.

If the vaccines are not delivered, the city’s authorities have said that the vaccination schedule will be interrupted.

Brazil began vaccinations on 18th January having approved the AstraZeneca and Sinovac vaccines.

Denmark is launching a digital vaccine passport, with the goal of allowing COVID-19 vaccinated residents to move around in public more freely.

The hope is businesses could operate more openly, too.

Some are concerned about privacy and creating an unequal system for those who can’t be vaccinated.

    • Los Angeles Times – Chapter 3: Vaccine nationalism

“Vaccine nationalism” is the final topic of Dr. Patrick Soon-Shiong’s discussion with Shabir Madhi, a Johannesburg-based virologist who led South Africa’s trials of the AstraZeneca-Oxford coronavirus vaccine.

Madhi’s team of investigators found that the vaccine did not protect against mild to moderate cases of the variant now predominant in South Africa, leading the government to announce that it would stop distribution of the vaccine. The news was a setback for the country, where more than 47,000 people have died of COVID-19 as of mid-February, and a new variant is driving a surge of cases.

South Africa acquired the doses from a manufacturer based in India, at prices exceeding what other African countries and countries in Europe have arranged. South Africa’s president, Cyril Ramaphosa, has also complained that wealthier countries are holding onto stockpiles of the vaccine while his country pursues a patchwork of deals with manufacturers and relies on COVAX, a group distributing vaccines to low- and middle-income countries. Ramaphosa has called for collaboration between countries and an end to what he and others refer to as “vaccine nationalism.”

Professor Shabir Madhi is the dean of faculty of health sciences at the University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg, and director of the university’s Vaccines and Infectious Diseases Analytics Research Unit. He is also co-director of the African Local Initiative for Vaccinology Expertise, a program dedicated to increasing vaccine research activity in Africa.

Dr. Patrick Soon-Shiong is a surgeon and scientist who has spent his career studying the human immune system to fight cancer and infectious disease. Last year, Soon-Shiong’s company, ImmunityBio, received permission from the Food and Drug Administration to begin Phase 1 trials of its COVID-19 vaccine candidate. The company has also received approval to begin trials in South Africa, where a new variant of the virus has led to a sudden rise in cases.

    • GAVI alliance – How does vaccine hesitancy affect COVID-19 immunisation?

Hesitancy over new COVID-19 vaccines doesn’t seem likely to affect uptake

The initial concern that nervousness over the new vaccines would slow uptake doesn’t seem to have become a reality in the early days of COVID-19 immunisation, although it will be critical to maintain vaccine confidence, suggests an Ipsos poll.

Durham Regional Police are now investigating after a whistleblower at a Courtice retirement home says management removed the door handles on rooms of COVID-19 positive residents, “trapping” them in their suites for days in a bid to halt the spread of the deadly virus.

The employee, who wished to remain anonymous, tells CityNews that a manager at the White Cliffe Terrace Retirement Residence ordered maintenance staff to remove door handles on some fourth-floor assisted living suites last week.

The employee claims it was done to prevent COVID-19 positive residents from freely moving around the facility.

“It’s disgusting,” the staffer told CityNews. “There is no excuse to remove (the handles), in essence trapping someone in a room for any reason.”

The whistleblower alleges the handles were off the doors for several days until a head office employee discovered it and complained.

The manager who ordered them removed was placed on leave on Monday, the whistleblower added.

“It was the COVID patients (that were affected),” the employee alleged. “It’s a safety issue. It’s just wrong on so many levels.”

The employee says affected residents still had access to food and were checked on by staff who tried to work around the lack of door handles

“Some of the staff were actually locked in (the rooms). They would go in and the door would be shut behind them and they would be locked in and they would have to call somebody to let them (out).”

If you’ve been following Impeachment 2, you are probably aware that a final up-or-down vote on conviction was expected today or tomorrow. But now it appears the trial will continue into at least next week. Literally minutes ago, senators voted 54-46 to introduce the testimony of witnesses. Sens. Mitt Romney and Lindsey Graham were two of the Republicans to vote “aye.”

According to ABC News’s live coverage of the impeachment trial, House managers and the Trump defense team will now require time to depose prospective witnesses before proceeding to the next phase of the trial.

A report published second ago by Politico notes that prosecutors will seek the testimony of Rep. Jaime Herrera Beutler (R-Wash.) regarding her knowledge of a phone call between the ex-president and House GOP leader Kevin McC

About $1.1 trillion in coronavirus aid, including more than $120 billion for small businesses, has still not been spent, according to a memo Republicans are circulating on Capitol Hill.

The more than $1 trillion in unspent coronavirus relief funds represents a significant portion of the $4 trillion allocated by Congress as part of multiple 2020 stimulus packages, according to the Republican Study Committee (RSC) memo reviewed by the Daily Caller News Foundation. Of the $828 billion allocated for small business loans, about $123.7 billion has not been spent, according to Small Business Administration data.

“Congress has delivered bipartisan COVID relief as recently as December 2020,” the RSC memo said. “Why then is it that the moment Democrats get the reins of power, we suddenly need to urgently pass $1.9 trillion more?”

  27. EU Commissioner: Fewer Than One Third of Bogus Asylum Seekers Go Back Voluntarily (breitbart, Feb 13, 2021)
    https://www.breitbart.com/europe/2021/02/13/eu-commissioner-less-than-a-third-of-asylum-seekers-voluntarily-deport/

“European Commissioner for Migration Ylva Johansson admitted that just a third of bogus, rejected asylum seekers return to their home countries — and less than a third go voluntarily.

The figures released earlier this week showed that around 70 per cent of illegitimate asylum applicants manage to stay in the European Union despite their claims being rejected.

“When it comes to how [EU] member-states can improve the process, they must ensure that a refusal decision comes at the same time as a return decision,” Ms Johansson said following the report’s publication, Swedish broadcaster SVT reports.

“The right to seek asylum is fundamental. People have the right to have their case heard. But we also must have a functioning return system. And that’s why I’m putting so much focus right now on returns,” Johansson claimed.

The report revealed that in 2020, despite the Wuhan virus pandemic and travel restrictions implemented by many countries, a total of 110,000 immigrants entered the European Union illegally.

While Greece saw a dramatic decline in asylum seekers in 2020, Italy saw a steady flow of migrants under the post-Salvini government, particularly to the island of Lampedusa in the summer months.

Spain, specifically the Canary Islands off the west coast of Africa, saw the largest increase last year, with the islands seeing a record 8,000 migrants land illegally in November alone.

Voluntary repatriation, accompanied by resettlement assistance, has been offered by many countries in recent years, but the number of migrants who have embraced the various schemes EU member-states have offered is limited.

Last year, Greece began offering asylum seekers on overwhelmed islands in the Aegean 2,000 euros to return to their own countries. Weeks later, around 130 migrants accepted the offer and boarded flights back to Iraq.”
