Reader’s Links January 25, 2021

Each day at just after midnight Eastern, a post like this one is created for contributors and readers of this site to upload news links and video links on the issues that concern this site. Most notably, Islam and its effects on Classical Civilization, and various forms of leftism from Soviet era communism, to postmodernism and all the flavours of galloping statism and totalitarianism such as Nazism and Fascism which are increasingly snuffing out the classical liberalism which created our near, miraculous civilization the West has been building since the time of Socrates.

This document was written around the time this site was created, for those who wish to understand what this site is about. And while our understanding of the world and events has grown since then, the basic ideas remain sound and true to the purpose.

So please post all links, thoughts and ideas that you feel will benefit the readers of this site to the comments under this post each day. And thank you all for your contributions.

This is the new Samizdat. We must use it while we can.

  1. When a “democratic” government spends $250 million to manipulate you as they try to calm legitimate concerns over the unproven Covid-19 vaccine technology.

  2. Here’s one seemingly under the radar. Fauci, in his new role, and with the help of globalist partners, begins an injection-sharing scheme. This means taking millions of expensive Wuhan bug injections (notice how little is said about cost?) paid for by western tax payers, and distributing these to Third World countries. Never mind the absence of the Wuhan injection efficacy, because this seems secondary. The objective seems to be asset transfer in any form from the First to Third world, first and foremost.

France may be heading into its third nationwide lockdown over the coronavirus pandemic, and the spread of the new variants of the virus in particular, but no decision has been made yet.
French authorities are considering placing the country in a new lockdown as the number of confirmed Covid-19 cases has passed the 3 million mark. Speaking to Radio Classique, French European Affairs minister Clement Beaune said the government is considering different options to tackle the spread.

“Nothing has yet been decided. There are scenarios [on the table] but no decision yet,” Beaune stated when asked whether a new lockdown could be imposed as early as this week.

The French National Academy of Medicine has urged people to quit the chatter on packed buses and trains, where social distancing is impossible. The country’s health minister earlier asked everyone to wear better quality masks.
“The compulsory mask-wearing on public transport, where physical distance cannot be respected, must be paired with a very simple precaution: avoid talking and making phone calls,” the Academy said in a statement.

The Academy updated its recommendations in light of the more transmissible coronavirus mutations that were discovered in Britain and South Africa.

The High Council of Public Health, which advises the French government, earlier recommended an increase in the minimum social distancing requirement from one to two meters. The Academy argued that the measure is reasonable, but impractical, and urged that the focus be on masks and personal hygiene instead.

Newsom is expected to announce the decision on Monday. All counties will reportedly return to the state’s Covid-19 tier system, with most areas slated to reopen outdoor dining and indoor salons.
Currently, three regions – San Joaquin Valley, Southern California and the Bay Area – are under the stay-at-home order. The Northern California and Greater Sacramento regions were not part of the shelter-in-place measures.

The order was issued in early December and applied to regions where intensive care units in hospitals reached more than 85 percent of capacity. The decree required residents to stay at home except for essential activities and outdoor exercise. The order also shuttered most businesses.

The anticipated policy shift was disclosed in a letter from the California Restaurant Association to its members. The organization said officials in Newsom’s administration tipped them off about the governor’s plans to lift the order. The letter described the move as “good news” and said more information would be shared once it becomes available.

Former President Donald Trump is reportedly planning on leveraging the threat of supporting primary challengers and starting a third party to keep Senate Republicans from voting to impeach him.
With an impeachment trial looming next month and numerous Democrats already putting their support behind the House’s article of impeachment, Trump is in a difficult position.

According to a Washington Post report, one of the ways the former president plans on fighting back in his trial, in which he is accused of inciting an insurrection, is using his potential support primary challengers to Republicans as a way to convince them to not join Democrats in voting to impeach. There is also the looming threat of him starting a third political party, which could be a devastating blow to an already fractured Republican Party.

“Trump advisers also say they plan to recruit opposing primary candidates and commission polling next week in districts of targeted lawmakers,” the Post reads, citing anonymous sources who have been speaking to the president in the days since he left the White House.

Law enforcement is complaining about social media platforms’ full-frontal assault on American political dissidents’ freedom of speech, crying that removing so-called ‘extremists’ from the internet makes it harder to spy on them.
A former FBI profiler recently took to NBC to complain that while Big Tech restricting Americans’ ability to freely communicate was all well and good, it was making it harder for the US intelligence apparatus to properly snoop on every aspect of these people’s lives.

FBI alum Clint Van Zandt complained that a 70-year-old man involved in the raid on the Capitol earlier this month was totally unknown to the bureau, showing up with a truck full of Molotov cocktails, a rifle, and some “improvised grenades” unheralded by any sort of presence on social media.

  11. Kitchener gym launches constitutional challenge after being shuttered by lockdown rules

A gym in Kitchener, Ontario has filed a constitutional court challenge to coronavirus pandemic-related stay-at-home orders which have forced the gym to shut its doors to patrons, Toronto Sun reports.

NorthXFit, which has been closed for nearly one month due to government-imposed lockdowns, has claimed in its suit that the stay-at-home orders violate the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms and the Ontario Human Rights Code.

The gym noted that while ordinary Ontarians are prohibited from exercising at gyms and fitness centres across the province, Olympic athletes and NHL players are exempt from such restrictions. The gym regards this discrimination as elitist and unfair.

“The ban on NorthXFit’s members and the public from use of the facilities, and by extension, their ability to associate with others, also imposes a burden upon them, and restricts their Charter freedom, solely because they are not Olympians, Paralympians or professional athletes,” the gym claimed in court documents. “Those groups can still legally use, anywhere in Ontario, indoor fitness facilities catering to them.”

lementary school students are heading back to in person learning after eighteen students in Clark County, Nevada, took their own lives in the last nine months of 2020, according to The New York Times.

The fears of more tragedies are outweighing the concerns of spreading the coronavirus as the youngest student to kill themselves was nine years old.

Dr. Anthony Fauci has called for schools to be open if possible, reiterating that there are ways for them to do so safely.

The government mandated shutdowns have had a devastating effect on students’ mental health, grades and attendance. Health and education experts around the world have struggled with the best way to protect students, faculty and families, especially those in the at risk category, while balancing student’s need for education and socialization.

Student’s academics have also suffered. According to The Hill, “In Virginia’s largest school district, the number of F’s nearly doubled among middle school and high school students.” School districts across the country have experimented with different solutions, none of which have proved an adequate substitution for in person instruction.

Clark County superintendent Jesus Jara told The Times, “When we started to see the uptick in children taking their lives, we knew it wasn’t just the COVID numbers we need to look at anymore.”

“We have to find a way to put our hands on our kids, to see them, to look at them. They’ve got to start seeing some movement, some hope.”

Jara added that the 18 suicides in 9 months was double the number of suicides recorded in the school district in 2019.

As of November 23, 2020 suicide rates among Seattle youth rose almost 30 percent. In 2019, youth suicides accounted for 8.33 percent of the county’s suicides, now youth suicide comprises 38.46 percent of the total suicides.

Beth Daranciang, former Child Death Review coordinator for King County, WA, told The Post Millennial in November 2020 that “Youth suicide is rare in larger cities and much more likely in suburbs, small towns and rural areas where kids can be more isolated. I also noticed that places where there were youth homicides, there were few youth suicides. Seattle having multiple youth suicides in one year is definitely unusual.” When asked what she believed was contributing to the rise in the rates Darancing said “Kids are hit hardest by the isolation.”

A survey, released by Parents Together, found that the majority of kids surveyed, 70 percent, “reported feeling sad, overwhelmed and worried. Nearly half the parents, 44 percent, are saying that their kids are struggling with mental wellness since the start of the pandemic.”

In July 2020, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Director Robert Redfield said that suicides and drug overdoses had surpassed the death rate for COVID-19 among high school students.

Biden ‘stimulus’ will increase national debt, shorten recovery, drive up inflation

President Biden wants to massively increase the national debt to fight the recession. But the recession that resulted from the coronavirus has already ended, and his proposed $1.9 trillion stimulus plan would backfire economically, keeping the unemployment rate high in future years, and increasing inflation. It would also increase America’s record-breaking national debt, the world’s largest. Our national debt already exceeds the size of our economy.

Biden’s stimulus plan could do more harm than good, according to a top Wall Street analyst quoted in Business Insider. Stimulus plans are designed to boost consumer spending so that persistently-high unemployment rate will start falling. But unemployment has fallen in recent months at the fastest rate since the 1980s, noted James Paulsen, chief investment strategist at The Leuthold Group. He notes that sweeping new relief packages like Biden’s could spur strong inflation and force the government to tighten monetary policy at the expense of the economy. Low-income Americans and minorities would likely bear the brunt of the stalled economy that would result, Paulsen said.

  16. Indian, Chinese soldiers injured in physical brawl near Naku La in Sikkim

NEW DELHI: Indian and Chinese troops physically clashed once again in the high-altitude area of Naku La in north Sikkim last week, with several injuries being sustained on both sides, even as the nine-month-long eyeball-to-eyeball confrontation continues in eastern Ladakh despite several rounds of diplomatic and military talks.

The Army on Monday, however, said it was “a minor face-off” that took place at Naku La on January 20, which was “resolved by local commanders as per established protocols”.

Sources said the brawl at Naku La took place after Indian troops challenged the attempt by the People’s Liberation Army (PLA) to intrude into Indian territory. “Both sides brought in some reinforcements…there were injuries on both sides in the physical clash. But there was no firing. The situation is under control,” said a source.

  17. Denmark Sets Aim at ‘Zero Asylum Seekers’, Promises Crackdown on Political Islam (sputniknews, Jan 25, 2021)
    https://sputniknews.com/europe/202101251081870986-denmark-sets-aim-at-zero-asylum-seekers-promises-crackdown-on-political-islam/

“At over 800,000, immigrants and their descendants account for some 14 percent of the Danish population of 5.8 million, with Turks, Syrians and Iraqis ranking among the most numerous immigrant communities.

The Danish Social Democrat government has now set new goal posts for its immigration policy. Ideally, Denmark’s new “zero vision” implies a full stop to asylum immigration.

Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen said her ambition is for Denmark not to offer asylum to any refugees at all.

“That is our goal. We cannot make a promise of zero asylum seekers, but we can have it as a vision. We want a new asylum system, and we will do what we can to implement it,” Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen said, as quoted by Ekstra Bladet.
The prime minister also criticised her predecessors for not making sufficiently strict demands on immigrants, such as maintenance requirements and the duty to adapt to Danish values.

Now the number of immigrants must go down, otherwise Denmark may “lose its social cohesion”, Frederiksen said, arguing that it is already “under threat”.

In 2019, upon winning the general election, Frederiksen’s government said it would resume accepting refugees under the UN’s quota system after a three-year hiatus under the previous administration. However, the Social Democrats have generally pursued a tight immigration policy.

Last year, only 1,547 asylum seekers were registered in Denmark, the lowest number since 1998. For the sake of comparison, this is less than one-tenth of the 21,316 asylum seekers registered in Denmark at the height of the migrant crisis of 2015. A combination of the Covid-19 pandemic and Denmark’s rigorous rules and policies are considered to be factors in the low figure for 2020, the Immigration Ministry said earlier this week.

To crown Denmark’s new vision, Integration Minister Mattias Tesfaye singled out immigration from Muslim countries in particular as a major problem, announcing new measures to stop political Islam. Among other things, the government will settle with the country’s Muslim independent schools.

In an interview with newspaper Jyllands-Posten, he said that a “large part of Islam today is represented by extremists”.

“Denmark should not adapt to Islam. Islam must adapt to Denmark,” Tesfaye said. According to Tesfaye, Danish society tends to underestimate the role of Islam because the Danes themselves are rather secular.

Without immigration from Muslim countries, he wouldn’t have had the job as integration minister because Denmark wouldn’t have any integration problems, Tesfaye argued. He also said that integration works poorly due to people who systematically oppose it by promoting completely different values.

At over 800,000, immigrants and their descendants account for some 14 percent of the Danish population of 5.8 million. The most represented countries of origin within the Danish immigrant population are Turkey, Poland, Syria, Germany, Romania and Iraq.

At about 315,000, Muslims constitute some 5.4 percent of the Danish population, their numbers and percentage increasing steadily over the past decades. In 1980, only 30,000 Muslims lived in Denmark.”

    https://www.express.co.uk/news/world/1388390/Isis-news-sas-sniper-isis-one-shot-kills-five-suicide-vest-syria-terror

“FIVE ISIS terrorists were killed by an SAS sniper with one bullet from a range of over half a mile after the marksman detonated an explosive vest on one of the jihadis in Syria.

The unnamed sergeant fired at the suicide vest of one of the ISIS members causing an explosion that killed the main target and four others. The sniper used one of the British Army’s most powerful rifles, a Barrett .50 calibre rifle. The weapon is predominantly used against larger targets like aircraft, trucks, and lightly armoured tanks.

The incident took place in November during a joining mission with Kurdish troops against ISIS last year.

The attack happened in November when SAS troops were working with Kurdish fighters.

The blast killed one of the top commanders of the terrorist group and resulted in the sniper being given an award by colleagues, the Daily Star reports.

The SAS unit was trying to find an ISIS brigade responsible for attacks on villages.

The British special forces team had been watching a suspected Isis bomb factory.

The SAS sniper fired as five ISIS men left the building.

A source said: “The plan at that stage was to drop the suicide bomber with the first shot.

“The next step was to then take the leader if they felt they could identify him.

    “But we got lucky.

“The target was at the maximum range.

“The sniper adjusted for the wind aimed and gently squeezed the trigger.

“He waited for the target to drop but instead the guy exploded.

“When the dust settled there were four bodies lying around with various bits missing.

“It then occurred to the sniper that the vest had detonated.

“When you take out a suicide bomber you normally aim for the head.

“But this guy was at the extreme limit of the sniper’s shooting ability.

“The sniper went for the centre of his mass, the chest.””

  21. Group: Pakistani Baloch dissident buried amid high security (abcnews, Jan 25, 2021)
    https://abcnews.go.com/International/wireStory/group-pakistani-baloch-dissident-buried-amid-high-security-75464872

“A Pakistani dissident and civil rights activist who died in exile in Canada last month was returned to Pakistan and laid to rest in her home village in southwestern Baluchistan province under tight security, activists said Monday.

Only immediate family members of 37-year-old Karima Baloch were allowed to attend her funeral Sunday in the village of Tump in Baluchistan.

Her supporters claim that Pakistani troops had sealed off the village and prevented them from attending her burial. Her remains were brought to Pakistan from Canada earlier Sunday.

Baloch’s body was found Dec. 22 near Toronto’s downtown waterfront, a place that she liked and often visited, a day after she was reported missing. Toronto police have not treated her death as suspicious though there were allegations by her supporters that she was killed.

A fierce critic of Pakistani spy agencies that are often accused of abducting activists in Baluchistan and elsewhere in Pakistan, Baloch was granted asylum in Canada in 2016. Her death has raised suspicions among rights activists, who on Monday denounced authorities for holding the funeral in near secrecy.

“It is appalling to see how Karima Baloch’s dead body was treated,” said Mohsin Dawar, a lawmaker from Pakistan’s former tribal regions who campaigns for Pashtun minority right but like Baloch, has also criticized Pakistani spy agencies.

“It is not difficult to understand how this will deepen the divide and fuel separatism,” he tweeted. “Is this the strategy to deal with the Baloch insurgency, to sprinkle salt on the wounds of Baloch?”

There was no immediate comment from the government, but a video that surfaced on social media shows soldiers turning back several mourners who are heard in the footage saying they wanted to pay their last respects to Baloch.

Angered over the situation, a Baloch nationalist group — the Baloch Solidarity Committee — issued a call for a daylong strike and complete shutdown in Baluchistan on Monday. Its statement said Pakistani troops spirited Baloch’s coffin away on its arrival from Canada and foiled a move by her supporters to hold her funeral in Karachi, instead taking her remains to her home village.

Later on Sunday, hundreds of Baluch activists rallied in Karachi, denouncing the government for not allowing that Baloch’s funeral be held in the city.

They chanted antigovernment slogans and demanded justice for Baloch, who they say was a “voice of the Baloch people” that was “silenced.” The activists insisted she did not die a natural death though they offered no evidence to support their allegation.

Baluchistan has for years been the scene of a low-level insurgency by small separatist groups and nationalists who complain of discrimination and demand a fairer share of their province’s resources and wealth.

Although there are also militant groups in Baluchistan that stage attacks on soldiers, separatists also often attack troops in the province, prompting authorities to detain suspects. Human rights activists often blame security forces of illegally holding people. Such detainees are usually not charged and do not appear in court, which draws protests from their families and rights activists.”

  22. Witnesses: Eritrean soldiers loot, kill in Ethiopia’s Tigray (abcnews, Jan 25, 2021)
    https://abcnews.go.com/International/wireStory/witnesses-eritrean-soldiers-loot-kill-ethiopias-tigray-75464873

“The Eritrean soldiers’ pockets clinked with stolen jewelry. Warily, Zenebu watched them try on dresses and other clothing looted from homes in a town in Ethiopia’s embattled Tigray region.

“They were focused on trying to take everything of value,” even diapers, said Zenebu, who arrived home in Colorado this month after weeks trapped in Tigray, where she had gone to visit her mother. On the road, she said, trucks were full of boxes addressed to places in Eritrea for the looted goods to be delivered.

Heartbreakingly worse, she said, Eritrean soldiers went house-to-house seeking out and killing Tigrayan men and boys, some as young as 7, then didn’t allow their burials. “They would kill you for trying, or even crying,” Zenebu told The Associated Press, using only her first name because relatives remain in Tigray.

Huge unknowns persist in the deadly conflict, but details of the involvement of neighboring Eritrea, one of the world’s most secretive countries, are emerging with witness accounts by survivors and others. Estimated in the thousands, the Eritrean soldiers have fought on the side of Ethiopian forces. They are accused of targeting thousands of vulnerable refugees from their own country, raping and intimidating locals — and now, some worry, refusing to go home.

Eritrea and Ethiopia recently made peace under Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed, who was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 2019 for his efforts. But Eritrea remains an enemy of the Tigray leaders who dominated Ethiopia’s government for nearly 30 years and are now fugitives since fighting began between Ethiopian and Tigray forces in November, the result of growing tensions over power…”

  23. Heavy fighting erupts in Somali town near Kenyan border (abcnews, Jan 25, 2021)
    https://abcnews.go.com/International/wireStory/heavy-fighting-erupts-somali-town-kenyan-border-75464496

“Heavy fighting broke out overnight in a Somali town near the Kenyan border between Somali forces and those from the state of Jubbaland, as Somalia’s election troubles spill over into violence.

Somalia’s information ministry in a statement early Monday accused Kenya-funded rebels of crossing into the town of Bulo Hawo and attacking Somali forces. But the Jubbaland vice president, Mohamud Sayid Adan, told reporters that Jubbaland forces stationed outside the town were attacked by what he called forces recently deployed to the region by the government in the capital, Mogadishu.

Both sides claimed victory. The information ministry asserted that Somali forces were in control of the town and that nearly 100 of the suspected rebels had surrendered to Somali forces.

But Information Minister Osman Abokor Dubbe later told reporters that five children had been killed and their mother wounded when a mortar round landed on their house.

“Ordinary militias don’t have mortars and missiles,” the minister said. “This is proof that Kenya is arming those rebels.” He added that some Somali soldiers had been wounded but none killed. The Jubbaland vice president declined to mention any casualties.

Somalia’s accusation of Kenyan involvement comes after Somalia cut diplomatic ties with Kenya in December “to safeguard the unity, sovereignty, stability of the country.”
Somalia’s president has been accused by critics of stirring up such issues to draw support as he seeks a second term.

Kenyan Internal Security Minister Fred Matiangi described Monday’s fighting as “internal to Somalia and has nothing to do with us (Kenya).

“We are not involved in it and none of our forces has crossed the border to go to Somalia,” he told journalists during a joint press conference with British Defense Secretary Ben Wallace on renewing security agreements.

Kenya’s foreign affairs ministry said in a statement that it had raised its concern about the fighting with the African Union continental body.

“Kenya’s primary concern is that the renewed fighting engenders large-scale displacement of civilians inside Somalia and increasingly generates large numbers of refugees and asylum seekers to Kenya, therefore aggravating the already dire humanitarian situation in Somalia and in the refugee camps in Kenya,” the statement said.

Somalia faces a troubled national election in the coming weeks. Jubbaland is one of two states, along with Puntland in the north, that have refused to take part.

In September, President Abdullahi Mohamed Abdullahi in talks between states and the federal government agreed to withdraw Somali forces from the Gedo region of Jubbaland, where Bulo Hawo is located. But that hasn’t happened, and the Somali forces remain after taking over the town mid-last year.

The president also has replaced district commissioners in Gedo who had been appointed by Jubbaland leader Ahmed Madobe, who is seen to have Kenyan support.

Jubbaland also contains the lucrative port city of Kismayo, where Kenyan forces are deployed as part of a multinational African Union force. The Middle Jubba region, however, remains under the control of Somalia’s al-Qaida-linked al-Shabab extremist rebels.”

Former White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders announced Monday that she is running to become the next governor of Arkansas.
    What are the details?

In a video posted to her campaign website, the popular former Trump administration official took aim at “socialism and cancel culture” and claimed that America’s governors will serve as the “last line of defense” against radical leftist tyranny.

“America is great because we are free, but today our freedom and the rule of law are under attack,” Sanders said in the video. “I was the first White House press secretary to require Secret Service protection because of a credible, violent threat against me. We’ve seen violence in our streets, at a congressional baseball practice, and at our Capitol. This is not who we are as Americans.”

An 18-year-old Texas man tipped off the FBI about his father’s role in the US Capitol riot — and said he’d do it again.

Jackson Reffitt — whose dad, Guy Reffitt, was charged last week in the Jan. 6 siege — told local outlet Fox4 that he acted out of moral obligation.

“It was my moral compass … to do what I thought would protect not only my family, but my dad himself,” he said.

    “I would do it again.”

The elder Reffitt, of Wylie, had allegedly threatened his son and daughter, saying, “If you turn me in, you’re a traitor and you know what happens to traitors … traitors get shot,” court papers state.

A large US military convoy entered northeastern Syria on Thursday, Syrian state news agency SANA reports, citing sources on the ground.

According to the report, the convoy included some 40 trucks and armored vehicles and was backed from the air by helicopters.

It entered Syria from Iraq via the al-Waleed crossing to bring arms and logistical equipment to the bases in Hasakeh and Deir Ezzor provinces.

Other local media report that such maneuvers are not unusual as the US often moves transfers equipment between Iraq and Syria.

At the same time, SANA also reports that some 200 US troops arrived in the Hasakeh province on helicopters.

Strike group entered South China Sea on same day 15 Chinese air force planes incurred into Taiwanese airspace

A US aircraft carrier group led by the USS Theodore Roosevelt has entered the South China Sea to promote “freedom of the seas”, the US military said on Sunday, at a time when tensions between China and Taiwan have raised concern in Washington, reported Reuters.

The US Indo-Pacific Command said in a statement the strike group entered the South China Sea on Saturday, the same day Taiwan reported a large incursion of eight Chinese bombers and four fighter jets into its air defence identification zone in the vicinity of the Pratas Islands.

The US. military said the carrier strike group was in the South China Sea, a large part of which is claimed by China, to conduct routine operations “to ensure freedom of the seas, build partnerships that foster maritime security.”

“After sailing through these waters throughout my 30-year career, it’s great to be in the South China Sea again, conducting routine operations, promoting freedom of the seas, and reassuring allies and partners,” Rear Adm. Doug Verissimo, commander of the strike group, was quoted as saying.

“With two-thirds of the world’s trade travelling through this very important region, it is vital that we maintain our presence and continue to promote the rules-based order which has allowed us all to prosper,” Verissimo maintained in the statement.

The announcement comes just days after US President Joe Biden was sworn into office and in turn, the Chinese actions are being seen as a challenge to the new administration.

  30. Impeach Obama for Inciting Black Lives Matter Riots

If it’s good enough to impeach President Trump, it’s good enough to impeach Obama.
Mon Jan 25, 2021 Daniel Greenfield

On May 31st, a violent Black Lives Matter mob burned American flags, threw bottles at police officers, and started a fire in the historic ‘Church of Presidents’ which had been visited by almost every president. Another building was set on fire, and windows across the area were smashed by the rampaging BLM mob wielding baseball bats, bricks, and even more lethal weapons.

Helicopter footage showed the Washington Monument wreathed in smoke from the fires set by the massive BLM assault on the center of our government. But while the BLMers assaulted numerous buildings, including the Department of Veterans Affairs, and had vandalized historical landmarks, including the Lincoln Memorial, the real target of the radicals was the White House.

60 members of the Secret Service and 150 law enforcement officers in total were eventually injured. As the BLM mob assailed the White House, the Secret Service took President Trump and his family to a bunker: an eventuality meant to deal with terrorist or nuclear attacks.

Black Lives Matter mobs didn’t break through to the White House, but they managed to set the White House guardhouse on fire. Instead of condemning this extremist assault on our nation, Democrats supported the rioters and falsely claimed that law enforcement had assaulted “peaceful protesters” for a “photo op”, and demanded the removal of the National Guard.

Since the COVID Scare began in March of 2020, I have been at pains to show how, from start to finish, The Narrative defies the facts, the science regarding the nature of the virus, the quality of the standard mode of testing for it, and the effectiveness, or ineffectiveness, of masks and all other “social distancing” protocols.

Here, though, I focus instead upon the profound, incalculable psychological damage that has been visited upon untold numbers of people in the name of combatting, not “the Plague,” as President Trump and, ironically, his enemies alike would have us think it is, but a corona cold virus with (at a minimum) a 99.5% survival rate.

Even if, as I hope to demonstrate, the survival rate was appreciably lower; even if it was a death sentence for all who contracted it, the cost that millions were willing to pay to keep themselves safe from it was, as the economists would say, “prohibitive.”

    This is putting it mildly.

An increasing number of Republican senators are voicing opposition to holding an impeachment trial against former President Donald Trump, leaving Democrats’ ability to swing enough votes for a conviction in doubt.

Twenty-nine GOP senators have now spoken out against holding a trial, according to an Epoch Times tally, arguing it’s unconstitutional to try to convict a former office holder, or a waste of time.

“I think right now Donald Trump is no longer the president. He is a former president,” Sen. Mike Rounds (R-S.D.) said on NBC’s “Meet the Press” on Sunday, arguing parts of the Constitution say lawmakers can impeach a president but they do not indicate “that you can impeach someone who is not in office.”

“The first chance I get to vote to end this trial, I’ll do it,” Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) added on “Fox News Sunday.”

    News Analysis

The past four years, former President Donald Trump’s administration broke with previous governments to confront the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) head-on, pushing back against its malign actions aimed at re-modeling the world to its own brand of techno-totalitarianism.

The administration recognized the vastness of the Chinese regime’s infiltration campaign that has left virtually no aspect of American society untouched, China experts say. Trump administration officials have described Beijing’s threats as an all-out assault against America’s economic prosperity, national security, and freedoms, as well as that of democracies around the globe.

In doing so, the United States repudiated the decades-held conventional wisdom that informed a policy of engagement toward Beijing—that economic liberalization would lead a more democratic China. That thinking is now widely accepted as wrong.

The increased censorship of people’s views expressed on social media by Big Tech companies has been part of an orchestrated attack on the First Amendment, Patrick Wood, director and founder of Citizens for Free Speech, told The Epoch Times.

Wood believes that there is an agenda behind the censorship. It would be almost statistically impossible to attack simultaneously all five elements of the First Amendment: freedom of religion, free speech, freedom of the press, the right to assemble, and the right to petition the government for a redress of grievances, Wood said in an interview for Epoch Times’ “Crossroads.”

All five of those “have been shattered to pieces in the last year and the attack had started actually before that probably five [or] six years ago,” Wood said, adding, “Free speech is hanging by a thread and the First Amendment is hanging by a thread.”

At least for the moment in Washington, DC, negative comments about China are out and cooperative words are in. But President Joe Biden had it right last February, when he called China’s President Xi Jinping a “thug.” Leaders of democracies, despite all the good will in the world, will find they cannot cooperate with thugs. “I was asked a long time ago when I was with Xi Jinping,” said President Joe Biden in his first hours in office, as he swore in officials, “and I was on the Tibetan plateau with him, and he asked me in a private dinner he and I and we each had an interpreter he said can you define America for me, and I said yes and I meant it. I said I can do it in one word, one word: possibilities. We believe anything is possible if we set our mind to it, unlike any other country in the world.”

The Swamp is terrified of Trump – still. That explains their fixation on eradicating him and his movement. “Trumpism” was not extinguished when Joe Biden raised his right hand to become the 46th president.

Fear grips The Swamp. Here is some evidence: the military occupation of Washington, DC; claims of “insurrection”; Speaker Pelosi’s interference with the military command structure; more baseless claims of dark Russian conspiracies; serious discussion of reeducation camps for Trump supporters; marginalizing and criminalizing all things “Trump” – those are all expressions of fear.

Nancy Pelosi, Chuck Schumer and President Biden keep using the word “insurrectionists” to describe the rowdy Trumpsters who raided the Capitol building unlawfully two weeks ago. That is deliberate. It makes all the respectable, career politicians, government drones and DC political operatives appear to be “victims” – draped in the flag and bravely defending the Constitution. It also criminalizes all of their opposition. Not just the protestors who raided the Capitol, but all Trump supporters – across the USA – and those opposed to The Swamp mentality to which we have now returned.

The fraud in this past election was massive, the worst ever in recorded history, but it is nothing when compared to what the Democrat (Communist) Party has in store for the future of the USA and the world.

In their first act, this Congress led by true communists apparently, is ready to pass a bill allowing all future elections in the USA to be run exactly the same as any communist regime in history.

The Populist Press is reporting the first bill put together by this Pelosi-led Congress will eliminate free and fair elections forever. Fraud will be the mandate and Democrats, the kings of fraud, will win every election henceforth. The bill is labeled by the Communist Democrats – “For the People Act of 2021“.

Below are the key aspects of the bill as noted by the Populist Press:

Native American Tribe Calls Out Biden for Threatening Their Livelihood

(ConservativeInsider.org) – President Joe Biden continues to talk about how he’s fighting for all Americans, even though his administration just stripped some Indian tribes of their rights and ability to provide for their families. The Department of the Interior (DOI) issued an order halting critical permits for many tribes. This caused quite a pushback from one tribe in northeastern Utah.

Biden hopes to rid the US of all fossil fuel use. So, on Wednesday, January 20, Acting Secretary of the Interior Scott de la Vega issued Order No. 3395 to implement a “temporary suspension of delegated authority.” The order temporarily slows the Department of the Interior’s work with leases and permits on federal lands in order to ensure responsible stewardship of “public lands, waters, and resources.” In short, new permits for drilling and mining on public lands are stalled for now.

This order could cripple Native Americans who rely on these leases and permits to provide for their tribe. One tribe from northeastern Utah responded with the following letter:

The Tribe clearly outlines this order will be detrimental to their livelihood. These Native Americans rely on the revenue from gas and oil leases to run their government, among other things, and Biden is stepping all over previous agreements.
