3. Ontario police chief in Florida on “personal property-related business matters”

(Fun with language! Caught with a hooker could be, “Physiotherapy and alternative catheter techniques”. Caught at a wild party might be, “Cultural and ancestral tribal rights exempted from regulations”. Playing hockey with friends, well if you are an Ontario politician you just have the reporter arrested for telling on you. But if you were a lower order government worker, you could say you were avoiding transmission by keeping all your friends on ice.)

[…] Tanner is one of many Ontario authorities, including a member of Ontario’s COVID advisory table, who evaded harsh new lockdown measures in the province by heading to warmer climates around the Christmas break.

4. Tucker Carlson on how big tech is, well you know. (Please leave a comment if this Tucker clip goes AWOL. We shall restore.)

During the Obama years, we posted a lot of material based on Stephen Coughlin’s work on something called the Office of the CVE. That stands for, “Countering Violent Extremism”. Stephen explained that it was classic leftist use of language. An extremist was someone who did not support the leftist agenda of transformation of the US into a socialist state, and anyone who swore an oath to the Constitution was a violent extremist as they were committed to defending it by force. This was meant mostly for the military, and as memory serves, Obama flubbed his oath several times when inaugurated and we were told that he got it right in private at the White House later that day. Which we have no way of knowing.

Now that Obama is about to enjoy his 3rd term in many respects, we will see these offices reenergized are seeing these offices reenergized. Using sneaky language, what is left of the constitution will be deconstructed and that fundamental change Obama promised will be sped along.

Samizdat. Learn it, use it. In this context it means using distributed platforms like Mastodon. These cannot be taken down by any single actor. ANTIFA is years ahead of us on this. They have been using nodes and distributed platforms for years now, and in fact occasionally is how we find videos of their activities that gets pulled down from conventional centralized platforms. Will, as Tucker says, we look back on this night? Will Friday night, January 8, be marked as a sort of digital-Kristallnacht?

5. British women fined for going on WALK, told by police that carrying tea is ‘classed as picnic’

Two women in the UK were fined by police for driving five miles to go for a quiet walk, with officers telling the women that the peppermint tea they were carrying counts as an unlawful picnic.

Derbyshire police reportedly “surrounded” the women during their walk at Foremark Reservoir on Wednesday and issued them with £200 fines. Police officers told the women that their tea was “classed as a picnic” and that driving elsewhere to go on a walk is “not in the spirit” of the government’s coronavirus lockdown.

The government’s lockdown, however, does not prohibit Brits from traveling to a nearby open space to walk, nor are there any rules against taking tea, coffee, or any other hot drinks.

According to the official UK guidelines, outdoor exercise “should be done locally wherever possible, but you can travel a short distance within your area to do so if necessary (for example, to access an open space).”

One of the walkers, Jessica Allen, told the BBC that “there were loads of police” in the area and that she “thought someone had been murdered” due to the heavy presence.

“The next thing, my car is surrounded. I got out of my car thinking ‘There’s no way they’re coming to speak to us.’ Straight away they start questioning us,” she recalled. “One of them started reading my rights and I was looking at my friend thinking ‘This must be a joke’.”

It is unclear on what legal grounds Derbyshire Police fined the two women.

  1. The war on our rights has begun, the left has to destroy the First and Second Amendments before they can achieve total control. If we don’t fight and win we will live in a nation totally controlled by oligarchs, and the corruption will make the Third World Nations look honest.
